You know when you think about it doesn't...Hyrule Warriors have its own "toon" style??

I know we usually group up Four, Wind and Legend for their toon link games but...just imagine putting Warriors in

Maybe a universe where game mechanics were suddenly applied temporarily out of the blue. Some stay as their respective game look, like Wild and Sky who come off with a few differences...and then there's Hyrule stuck as literal bits and Legend and Four constantly changing. It only kicks up when they're in their respective worlds, and only the hero and residents of said world are affected

Now they get to Warriors' Hyrule...and he hasn't changed a bit. Maybe a bit more photogenic, but who knows. They meet with his Zelda and Impa, destroy a few monster camps then come back to the castle

Then midway through his report Warriors turns into a toon

Chaos.

Sky: does not have the hand-eye coordination or spacial reasoning for any of this he's stuck in an area you're not supposed to get stuck in bc he forgot he can look up. Someone help him lol

Wild: very good with fights and shrines, and he enjoys them, but with literally everything else he gets choice paralysis and gives up.

Twilight: so... The portal kind of left him behind. Yeah he's still in ordon village. He's not complaining cuz he likes it there, but whoopsie lol (in fact I have not gotten past the opening to twilight princess)

Warrior: (haven't actually played og Hyrule warriors, but the gameplay is practically identical to age of calamity so we're going with that.) Warriors is just utterly flawless in combat. He can pull of combos, kill all enemies quickly, you name it. He says this is all fair and square, but it's really just universal favoritism (hw's combat is way easier than traditional Zelda games')

Wind: poor guy has even less coordination than sky. At least sky can jump gaps without veering to the side out of nowhere and missing entirely. He's alright at fighting, but it's pretty clear he's just flailing around and hoping it hits something (spam pressing b)

Time: my guy simply cannot swim. He just can't, it doesn't work out for him. Otherwise he's chilling. Give him a sword and a shield and he's practically untouchable

Legend: dies nearly as often as Hyrule, but doesn't have convenient restore point abilities like Hyrule so it sucks a little bit more. Not only that, but poor guy is constantly lost at all times, he's got no idea where he is or how to solve this puzzle girl help (admittedly, I'm pretty good with oracle games and albw, but I'm horrendous at alttp and triforce heros so I went with the funnier option)

Four: he is so incredibly slow. He has to think so so hard about each move he makes because (Maren played minish cap on an emulator on her phone and the buttons are all touchscreen and therefore so easy to press the wrong one) the colors are constantly wrestling for control in the middle of battle. He's pushing through it, his 3 bottles of lon lon milk help, but it's a struggle to move beyond glacier speeds.

Hyrule: has died during every single battle, BUT he just reloads his restore point and everything is fiiine. Just tanks hits while doing as much damage as possible until he wins. On the plus side, he's pretty efficient with conserving magic

Warriors won the tumblr sexyman and my sacrifice was to take the L in rapid succession aka get sick (really hoping it doesnt extend to exams though LMFAO)

So you know in the end of Spirit Tracks where you could choose whether or not you'd continue being a conductor OR be a knight in training??

AU where Warriors is Spirit Tracks Link, who regrets leaving behind his good ole train. They land in a brand new Hyrule that shouldnt be so familiar and there they find the new Link of the chain. A Link who didn't decide to take up the sword.

Imagine Warriors seeing himself. A him that was spared from war and bloodshed. A him that couldve continued on blissfully unaware of the terrors ahead as he tended to his train. A him that was both everything and nothing he used to be.

Would he blame Hylia for making him a hero? Artemis for even suggesting the idea of taking up a sword? Spirit, who reminds him about his failures in both tracks and battlefield?

Or maybe the only one to blame here was himself. He decided to become a murderer killing machine Helen of Troy cause of so so many deaths ...this. He did this to himself.

Now he just had to make sure that Spirit wouldn't make the same mistakes he did. At least his first one was rectified.

Literally just copy-pasted from a server, but I have a lot of feelings about Hyrule Warriors (and HW Link my beloved), so

I do not understand how people don't realize the amount of POTENTIAL that Hyrule Warriors has story-wise. "Well, ya see Link it's not canon!!" EXACTLY??? You can put some random shit in there for your fic and just use Cia or the literal timeline tomfoolery that caused multiple characters from different games and timelines to appear in HW as a reason?? Well, obviously don't ALWAYS use it as a reason, but with the amount of unsaid stories and left alone blanks you can make anything happen in that game.

And hello?? Characters from multiple timelines and games??? How will they interact with each other? How will they interact with this obviously, very different Link and Zelda? Speaking of them, what's their full backstories? What happens to them after the War of Eras? Does the war even exist anymore? Does HW Link cease to exist as the soldier with the Hero's Spirit and just becomes some guy since HW isnt canon???

Hell even Linked Universe-wise, you have free reign! Make Ravio and Warriors throw some little quips and inside jokes at each other making Legend frustrated! Make Warriors off-handedly mention Midna and Marin! Make Agitha explain to Twilight that she doesn't use bottles to capture insects and the such anymore because of the whole Great Fairy mechanic where she literally puts Warriors in a BOTTLE. (Cough cough thats an actual fic cough cough)

The possibilities are endless goddamnit, Hyrule Warriors itself is like the official DEFINITION of FANSERVICE

n ee ways WAHOOGA this "little" idea started around 1 month ago. Upon finding out that Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is NOT canon BOOOOOOOO i have decided that fuck it if hyrule warriors isn't canon ANYTHING is canon. or rather, you can do anything in hyrule warriors and it would be supposedly canon in its own universe.

and that's how my most genius idea began: "Warriors is Hylia's OC Do Not Steal," the series. Wait no come baCK I SWEAR ITS GOOD-

"Warriors is Hylia's OC Do Not Steal" is a series about Warriors being absolutely ANYTHING, mostly due to Hylia's interference. It's like those "Prince Wild" or "Legend is Fable's brother" fics, except those are more noticeable trends while Warriors isn't really worked upon beyond the canon events inside his game. Aside from that really good Storyteller!Warriors fic, amazing Mailman!Warriors series and your local wingfic Warriors is pretty much a dot on the Linked Universe AUs. While yes there are LU aus including the whole chain, it's hard to find a Warriors-centric one that wasn't last year or 2020. So god bless silvercaptain they deserve this mention.

To touch more on the WHODNS series (a working title send help) ill have to explain the series within the series first. Basically, I am going to put Warriors into so many situations and some of them will end up getting me so hyperfixated that I will be forced by my own hand to make a series for it. I actually have a series inside WHODNS in the works right now called "Seventeen," I might make a masterpost about all my ideas sooner or later. You're free to ask for now though!

Seventeen is a Warriors-centric series wherein his connection with the royal family and therefore the Zeldas seem to be more intimate than one would think. And no, not THAT kind of intimate. All ships are the canonwise ones currently and never the main focus of the story.

The Zeldas play a somewhat important role in this story, considering the fact that they're actually joining the chain for their adventure. Why? Connected to the plot I can't say shit (..I need help to come up with a name for a group of Zeldas though).

Here's a sneak peek of the first work in the Seventeen series called "I Used to Kid Myself in this Dress." Yes. It's based off of the MARINA and the Diamonds song.

The portals are acting weird. And by that, they’re forcing all the Zeldas to join the chain on their quest to…no one’s really sure, actually. Every Link agrees that they’re happy to finally have their lover, friend or even sister by their side. Except Warriors.

Because his Zelda isn’t even with them at all.

Or 9 times the Zeldas had a less than pleasant interaction with our resident “ladies’ man,” and one time a Zelda actually took the time to understand him and break that stereotype

Not my favorite work of the series (I have like, 2 more), but it IS the first one. The one after this is called "Rise of a King (Fall of a Queen)," which has my favorite summary so far. Both are currently in the works! "I Used to Kid Myself in this Dress" will have 10 chapters, while "Rise of a King (Fall of a Queen)" are still undecided.

Maybe if people like the idea I'll release the summary for "Rise of a King (Fall of a Queen)."

Alright! Time to rant. Warriors' game is a GOLDMINE for multiple situations. As sad as it is that its not canon it baffles me that no one has thought of the possibilities for it in writing (I have a post for it right here! Although it's more or less just cluttered thoughts).

I hope this post sums it up! Sorry if there are instances where my words don't make sense haha, I'm just really happy that someone bothered to even like my post. My brain was just telling me to write EVERYTHING down but that would spoil the surprise. Have a great day!
