"I feel like we absolutely should've gotten Lolirock dolls! It kind of seems like a show that would really would've benefited from having dolls since they seemed to have a lot of budget issues with just "selling" the music. Then again, I'm just a Lolirock fan and a doll collector so even if they didn't sell well I'd still get them."

He met you in one of his many disguises
He had seen you in the corner of his eye and chased you down
Praxina finds Mephisto's crush on you slightly annoying
Anytime he sees you when they're fighting the girls, he'll leave the battle to talk to you
Though she's not surprised by her brother's incompetence
When he realizes he really, Really, REALLY likes you, he gets blushy around you and his face goes bright red
He's quite protective over you and will catch you if you ever trip
He loves listening to you ramble
He'll make sure he's always the center of your attention
He's always ditching his sister in favor of you
If fact you didn't realize he had a sister, until they both ran into you one day
"Hi- uh Y/n," he awkwardly waved, his voice cracking, with Praxina glaring at you both
"Who's this brother?"
He blushed, quickly answer, "That's Y/n!"
She rolls her eyes, before grabbing his arm and dragging him it off
She reprimands him for gaining feelings for someone
When she realizes that he really likes you, she says that he could potentially be putting you at risk
He knows he has to stay away from you

His first motive against you was betrayal
As he was betraying you, he saw you cry and he realized he didn't want to hurt you
You just saved him, why would he do this to you?

If you give your attention to anyone else, he'll become passive aggressive towards you and won't be nice to you, until you apologize
And you will eventually apologize, even if you don't know why you're doing it
He's so very arrogant and it's high to cover for his insecurities
He's a huge gaslighter
He'll tell you that only he'll love you and no man will love you like he likes you
He constantly degrades you, but not to the point where you'd threaten to leave

Doug
He loves taking pictures of you

He practically has a shrine dedicated to you
You are his muse and everything you do, inspires him
He loves going places with you and is very affectionate
He's pretty clumsy, so watch out
Whenever you see him holding something he's about to drop, you'll quickly take it

He loves PDA, cause it feels like he's telling the world you both are together
He knows your favorite drink and your schedule down to a T
He has like this 6th sense of when you're near and will make your drink and have it ready right as you enter the door
Doug didn't believe that Nathanial really knew when you were near, so Doug sent you on a goose chase, to make you late and caught wind you were late really quick, but right when you were around the corner he got started on your drink
Doug was jaw dropped when he saw you enter and Nathaniel handed you your drink
"I couldn't find a 'Flashing Hammer.' When I asked some employees they laughed at me?"
"He sent you on a goose chase Y/n. All that for me to be right"
"Right about what?"
"Nothing," Nathaniel remarks, caressing your hand, making you blush

I need to get this off my chest.
The evolution of the magical girl protagonist has baffled me so much. I have been watching various shows throughout the years with the magical girl theme and the female lead is ever changing and while some may complain that most shows are the same, I beg to differ.
If you compare Usagi Tsukino with every magical girl that came after, then that just makes you blind to the various girls that came before her like Cutey Honey! Or watch Precure if you want a different leader with a different struggle every season! My favorites are Tsubomi, Nodoka, Miyuki, Ichika, Hana, Natsumi, and Love! There's also Madoka and Iroha from the Madoka Magica Series who I also love.
The French magical girls always seem to have the world on their shoulders continually. Iris from Lolirock was not the cliche princess I thought she was going to be. She took action and struggled with her identity and leadership. Marinette from Miraculous also surprised me with how mature she is becoming. I may have to make a separate post for her, but she has surprised me greatly.
Italian magical girls get the constant comparison game. Winx versus W.I.T.C.H is such an old debate that needs to die. I do, however, find it funny that both main leads are redheads. Bloom is a good protagonist, but she has flaws. Yes, she took up most of the show, but certain seasons like 2 and 3 really bring out her best qualities. I like how she had to discover her true power and grow alongside her friends. Will from W.I.T.C.H also was a strong female lead that struggled with a divorce and a move! Not to mention, her powers weren't fully developed until season 2(unless you read the comics). The thing about Will is that her character embraces the fact that she is still a young girl trying to find her place.
Canadian magical girls are quite odd. I like the fact that they're vastly different from American or Japanese magical girls with their premises, but are forgotten by the mainstream! Anybody remember Mysticons or Trollz? The main leader in Mysticons, Arkayna, has got to be one of my favorite leaders ever created. Born and raised to be a fighter, she was stubborn, strict, and had a burden on her shoulders due to her being the reason her parents were turned to stone. I do love the fact that she took the leadership role quickly, but still constantly bickered with Zarya, another girl on her team. For Trollz, Amethyst was my second favorite behind Onyx, but I loved how she cared for all her friends. When saving the world, she always puts them first.
Which leaves me to the American magical girls. Say what you want about them being copies of other great shows, I love the American ones! Star Butterfly was my favorite Disney girl for the longest time because I loved that we grew up with her. She went from reckless royal to a leader that puts her people first. Her character development was slow, but eventually she gained my love. The less said about She-Ra, the better since it disappointed me. I do, however, love Adora so much. The identity search aside, I liked how she was a reluctant to be the savior at first, but even she knew it was her destiny. Then she screwed destiny and did her own way!
I know other countries have magical girls, but I wanted to get these off my chest! I hope to find more people liking the lead girls more and maybe we can all agree that magical girls have gotten better too!

Things that I would change about Lolirock or like
Note: These are just a couple of things that I want to happen from Lokirock or what I would change about it and some of these do contain spoilers from season 2. Agree or disagree, just do it respectfully.
Things I wish would have happened in the series:
-Is it just me, or I thought that Gramorr was going to be reveled to be Iris’s father? I thought that it was going to be a “Iris, I am your father!!!” thing, but it didn’t happen, Gramorr just turned out to be a heartless asshole and the father just ended up as a prisoner like everyone else at Ephedia. I think him reveling to be her father all along would of been a BIG plottwist. I think the first episode made me think this theory? Maybe he was just stoic or controlled by a dark power (the mask/banes)? I don’t know.
-Also, this is another idea and it links with Mephisto, Praxina’s and Gramorr. What if they were orphans (this is just a guess) that Gramorr took in? Just think about it, what if their parents were gone? What if they even abandoned them or they were killed (hell, maybe Gramorr was reasonable for their disappearances/deaths)? Or maybe they never knew them? Either way, would if took them in so they can serve him? What if he promised to give them a home and more power if in return they work for him and give him loyalty? Makes sense right?
-For some strange reason, I wanted Lexx to work for Gramorr at the starting of season 2 until later down the line he redeems his self and joins the fight to take down Gramorr. I feel like he would have made for a good villain for a short time.
-I usually don’t like love triangles, but I guess this can be a exception. What if there was a love triangle between Iris, Nathaniel and Lexx? It could of been sort of like the Ichigo, Aoyama and Kishu “love triangle” from Tokyo Mew Mew but slightly different and a bit more tolerable (I don’t imagine Lexx being as pushy, manipulative or hostile towards Iris like Kishu is with Ichigo at all).
-I wanted more one on one battles between Talia and Praxina and Arianna and Mephisto (the former more since it was shown that Praxina and Talia has some tension between them). I feel like that these would be cool and epic v.s. battles. And if my Lexx as the bad guy theory came true, then I would want a Iris and Lexx battle too.
-I wish the plot who have reveled that Iris DID have friends before Talia and Arianna (you know, some human friends). Didn’t Iris ever had any other friends besides Nathaniel? I always wondered about that. Maybe if that did happened, then it could of been a reason why they grew distant? Like maybe Iris had to stay away from them because of her new responsibilities as a rockstar and as a warrior princess? Or maybe she had friends, but things didn’t work out? Who knows.
-I know they had a episode concerning this already (sort of), but how do the girls mange to keep their careers and having normal lives without having a manger or anything? I know it’s just a cartoon, but at the same time it’s supposed to be partly slice of life. Some things have to make sense you know.
-I would have focused less on the music aspect of the show (sorry, not sorry). I just feel like sometimes, the music is just a afterthought. I mean, I still like and want the music, but I don’t like it being basically half of the plot (if not more).
-I wish some plot devices (like the dark versions of Lolirock or spell books that were shown) weren’t just one episode things.
-I wish there were more members of The Resistance. Maybe civilians that WEREN’T captured and were brave and strong enough to want to help.
-I wish there was more altercations with Iris being the leader and all. I kind of feel like that she got the hang of her powers and spells a little too soon for her to be completely new to this. It’s possible that she worked extremely hard, but I don’t know? Do this AND maintain a job? What if Talia was temporarily the leader until Iris could truly become leader? Again, it’s not a big deal, but this could of been a nice concept.
Things I still want to happen:
-I want (and still want) for Carissa and Lyna to make more appearances.
-I know Auriana is boy crazy, but I am still wondering if she and Doug are a thing (or at least if there’s a possibly). Also, I want Talia and Kyle to have more development. I know a lot of people don’t like the pairing nor the episode because they feel like that Iris and Arianna were so adamant in pushing Talia to be with Kyle when she kept on telling them that she didn’t want a romantic relationship with anybody at the moment (and that’s understandable), but I think it can still work if written right. Or maybe the pairing shouldn’t of happened to begin with? After all, not everyone needs to be in a relationship.
-Talia and Auriana are close right? I would like to see more of their friendship. I would like to think that they have a sister relationship even though they both have sisters.
-I would like to know more of the characters backgrounds before the series began (especially more of Mephisto and Praxina's).
-I would like to see the girls in highschool. Just think how funny it would be if the princesses (excluding Iris) had to get use to Earth school customs? That would add a lot more humor to the show!
-GROUP TRANSFORMATIONS! I don’t know if it’s done like that for time or what, and I don’t mind seeing the girls transform. I just don’t want to see it this way EVERY EPISODE. I mean, it’s not like they can’t make group transformations right? Again, I don’t mind at all seeing their solo transformations, but I honestly think it’s unnecessary to do that every time. I want group transformations.
-I want to watch Lyna and Carissa fight battles more (like in Super Cute Kitten).
-I want a new opening for Lolirock.
-I want to see more of Izira.
-There are a lot of fans of Talismo (Talia and Mephisto). I will only consider it if the two AT LEAST interact more. And maybe have some development for the “couple”? Hell, maybe if Mephisto comes back and even gets redemption arc, maybe they can take a interest in each other. The concept for them is pretty good, we just need execution.

Not a confession, but what barbie movie characters do you think are magical girls? I think for starters Clara as she has a kiss which breaks a spell which makes her magical right? Then maybe Rapunzel as she wields a magical Hairbrush/paintbrush which isn’t her own power but maybe still? Barbie of swan lake maybe because of her crown which has the crystal which makes her the “chosen one”. I don’t have enough space to write anymore. What do you think?
Honestly, the easier question is which one ISN’T a magical girl LOL. To me, every Barbie protagonist that is magical/uses magic or wields a magical item of some sort can qualify as a magical girl, since there’s not a set “rule” on what makes someone a magical girl. That’s what’s so cool about it, so then we can have superhero magical girls (Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach, Tokyo Mew Mew), pop idol magical girls (Mermaid Melody, Jem, LoliRock), witchy magical girls (DoReMi, Little Witch Sally), and just about everything in between!!

Lyna and Carissa have been fighting over whether spells or physical skills are more important in a magical princess battle. Iris helps a friend, Dlyan by volunteering to look after his little sister so he can confess his feelings to the girl he likes. Mephisto learns a spell that makes people disappear, but when he casts it on Lyna, he shrinks her to the size of a doll and is picked up by Dlyan’s little sister, Jessica and takes her home!

~♪ Rhythm of Your Heart ♪~
Summary: A series of compilation stories set in my College Alternate Universe, where the Lolirock cast are just normal teenagers heading off to college trying to figure out life while settling into adulthood. Musically set to the tunes of Marianas Trench.
Ships: Talisto, Levyna, NatIris,ZackPrax, Rorissa and MattAuri a few others sprinkled in there.

Day 1: Music Makes Us Better~
Mephisto never felt he was musically inclined, which was odd considering he was a theater major. Music should be by all means his bread and butter, where have you heard of a theater kid who didn’t want to break out their singing chops? Heck half of his movie heroes had done musicals, this was something he had to master. Yet here he was sitting in the plush red seat of the theater looking at the script he was handed. Nervous emerald eyes followed the bickering theater club co-presidents, Lev and Lyna as they carried on explaining the musical they had planned for the fall play to the excitement of the rest of the club but to him they might as well close the curtains on his performances for the fall season. He groans, messing with hair as he left the theater heading to his dorm room. He unlocks the door, the sight that greeted him lifts his spirits. “ Hey Beautiful.” He smiles at his girlfriend. She was sitting cozily on the couch, her hair tied up in a bun, wearing a large sweater and leggings, reading a huge Egyptian Mythology book while petting their kitten Roku, who was napping on her lap.
Talia glances up from her book, her hand lifting from Roku’s head. “ Hey Handsome, you look like a man with a million thoughts. What’s up?” She hands the kitten over to Mephisto who instantly scoops him up after tossing his backpack on the chair and closing the door behind him. She uncurls from her spot picking up her teacup walking to the kitchen to make more tea. “ We’re doing a musical.” Mephisto answers, laying on the couch with the kitten on his chest playing with his tiny paws.
“Why do you say it like that?” Talia giggles mimicking his tone of dread.
“Like what?” He chuckles egging her on his gaze following her as she walks around the kitchen making her tea. “ We’re doing a Musical” She emphasizes the word, quickly dipping back out of the kitchen so he could see her clearly placing the back of her hand over her forehead and faking a swoon. “ As if someone just dashed your dreams of the Oscars, Leonardo DeCaprio.”
Mephisto laughs “ I still stand by the fact that he was robbed! Damn you Academy!” He smiled at her and sat up “ Babe, when have you ever heard me sing?”
Talia muses for a moment as she got a tin of cookies from the cupboard. “ I don’t think I’ve heard you sing” She walks over to the couch with cookies letting him pick some for himself. “ Oh thank you” He hums taking a chocolate coated orange cookie, before continuing “ Because, I don’t sing.”
Talia froze for a moment looking at her boyfriend in surprise “ You don’t sing? Because you can’t? Or Because you don’t know how to?”
Mephisto gave a small laugh biting the cookie as he thought about it. “ I guess the latter, I never learned to sing… I never felt the inclination”
Talia giggles softly before shyly admitting to him “... I was in a band”
“ No! You?!” He gasped looking at her in shock, his serious, history major girlfriend was in a band! What!
Could his eyes get any bigger from excitement? No they clearly couldn’t.
Talia rolled her eyes and blushed as she muttered softly “ Hush, I have hobbies. You know.” Her lips formed into a smile “ and I can teach you how to sing.” He grins and kisses her “ Thank you! Okay but you gotta tell me about the band! Who was in it?!” He was never going to let that go now.
Talia laughs as she tells him about the band, the fun times Iris and Auriana and herself had in Lolirock. Talia confessed she had a box of musical items she played with in her room. A midi Controller, guitar, microphone and headphones. She would on occasion write a song for fun.
The more of her secret passion she shared the more eager Mephisto was to learn about this world of musical sheets and notes. Slowly but surely music lessons began.
A few weeks later Talia was sitting at her desk tapping her pencil to a beat she didn’t realize had been playing outside her door for the past hour. “Huh…” She rose from her desk wandering out to the living room.
Mephisto was sitting at the kitchen table tapping on the midi controller as he was singing the notes she had written for his singing lessons. He had the beginning of a great song but what really made her smile was the fact he was having fun with music. Talia smiles leaning on the door watching him play and experiment on his own even if the notes weren’t originally meant to be a song he was making work.
“Pop music 101: Some simple instructions, for a good first impression. Now let's start with verse one. A minor chord, tensions grow. Fade in the bass like so...Now with momentum go... Stop! And bring the beat back It's called four on the floor A beat you can't ignore I bring sexy back once more, they love that for sho”
He glances up at her blushing as Talia giggles “Somehow I don’t think the last line is mine but hey it's sounding great” He chuckles.

"I love Izira and Talia, and I love the story built with them, but... I wish people would admit that Talia acts the way she does because she's trying to emulate who she thinks her sister was/what her sister wanted her to be. Talia isn't serious and no-nonsense naturally, we saw she was a wild child who snuck out and had fun growing up in Xeris. She acts like that because she's pretending she's something she's not due to trauma. Let Talia heal and have fun again, after the war is over. She deserves to "let her hair down" so to speak, and be herself again. You know?"

My journey into Magical Girls.
I’ve been getting into Magical girls lately. I’ve sorta always been into magical girls but mostly Winx Club and W.I.T.C.H. And I guess Steven Universe, Star Vs and My Little Pony Friendship is Magic but I never thought of them as Magical girl shows until I was people saying they were. They’re definitely inspired by magical girls anime and I definitely thought of Equestria Girls as a Magical girls show.
When Miraculous Ladybug came out, it made me think about the Magical girls genre. Then Lolirock came out but it wasn’t in English yet. It had fan subs but they kept getting taken down. I really wanted to watch it cause it looked really good. It was driving me crazy that I couldn’t watch it without subs or a dubs. when it finally came out in English I was too busy to watch and it was on Netflix which I don’t have. I was really hoping Lolirock would air on TV in America. I think if it aired on TV and on Netflix it would’ve gotten more exposure. Lolirock isn’t popular and it really should be. I just finally watched it and I think it does the Magical Girls genre better than other western Magical girls shows. Better than Winx Club, better than W.I.T.C.H, better than Mysticons and Miraculous. I even think anime Magical girls fans would like Lolirock cause it try’s the hardest to be like Magical girls anime’s out of all the western Magical girls shows. It’s more anime inspired than other western magical girls shows. It made me wish there were western magical girls shows like it.
Speaking of Magical girls anime before I got more into Magical girls I started following the Western magical girl confessions blog even though I wasn’t watching western magical girls shows besides Miraculous, Steven Universe and MLP at the time. I wanted to see peoples opinions about the genre. After reading peoples opinions I decide to check out the rest of the genre including anime Magical girls shows, cause I’ve mostly seem western magical girls shows. I watched Sasami Magical Girls Club when I was in middle school and I watched a little bit of Powerpuff Girls Z and Magic Knight Rayearth but never finished them. I’ve also seem Kill La Kill but I didn’t know it was a magical girl anime at the time. Now I’m watching Precure, Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena Cardcaptor Sakura and Tokyo Mew Mew.
And so that’s my journey into Magical girls. My blog is mostly a superhero blog and sometimes I reblog cartoons I watch. I thought I should talk about why I’ve been rebloging magical girls lately. I have more thoughts about magical girls so look out for those posts.
