A Tera Retrospective

Before I go ahead with basically writing obituaries for all of my characters, I figured it'd be a good time to talk about my experiences and overall thoughts on the game.

I'd more or less abandoned this game somewhere between Brawler and Ninja patches. I came back to level Ninja and Valkyrie when those classes came out just to try them, but I didn't run any endgame dungeons or explore any of the other content that was around at the time. Basically, I leveled my Valkyrie to 65, logged out, then didn't touch the game for years. I'd check the EME site from time to time to see if anything new and enticing had come out since I last played. Nothing did and eventually I stopped checking. It's some kind of miracle that I found out about the EME shutdown and GF migration at all, let alone in time to save all of my accounts.

I figured I'd give Tera another shot. I leveled my brawler to 70, an experience that gave me an unfavorable impression of what was to come. Long ass quest line, damage sponge mobs. Basically, the 60-65 experience of 2015 on steroids. Only way to supplement that was by running Macellarius Catacombs over and over and over and over again. And apparently it was much worse before I arrived, though it was made better in subsequent patches and with leveling events.

Before I talk about the state of endgame in 2020 and later, I have to talk about what it was like in 2013, a.k.a. the game's golden age.

You just hit level 60 on your first character. How do you progress? First you got faction gear, which was good enough to run Nexus, which gave you Agintor credits that you'd use to get your first set of endgame gear. It was also good enough to run Ebon Tower, Labyrinth of Terror, and Kelsaik's Nest for Master Enigmatic Scrolls and Masterwork Alkahest. You could save those for your own gear or sell them on the broker. You'd also do daily quests, and which factions you'd do depended on what kind of rewards you wanted. If you wanted fodder for enchanting gear, you'd do the ones in Cutthroat Harbor. If you wanted the best healer jewelry in the game, you'd do the ones in Bastion, etc.

Once you were able to get a full set of Agnitor gear and slowly started enchanting it, more and more dungeons would open up to you and you'd look at refining your character further. You'd run Temple of Temerity for advanced glyphs. You'd run Sirjuka Gallery for even more advanced glyphs. You could run Crucible of Flame and Argon Corpus to hone your skills. Once your gear was +9, it was good enough to start training runs of Manaya's Core, something I'll talk about in more detail later. You could also ditch your Agnitor gear and get Abyss gear, which is slightly better, or save up for Regent's gear, which was the best money could buy.

It seems, on the surface, that a lot of the level 70 era endgame followed similar logic. I'm going to use the Annihilation/Dark Light/Kaia gear era in my examples because it's when I was most active in post-70 Tera. Instead of grinding for better glyphs, you'd grind for those scrolls that allowed you to advance your skills in whichever dungeon the current patch had designated for that purpose. You'd get a free set of basic starter gear to run basic starter dungeons that would allow you to save up and buy Annihilation/Dark Light gear. Then you'd work on enchanting that, so you could run better, more lucrative dungeons that would get you money to either upgrade your A/DL gear to Kaia and keep your enchantment level, or buy Kaia and start from scratch. Sounds similar enough so far.

Except, enchanting became crazy expensive at some point in Tera's development. It always had been, but in classic Tera, it was from procuring materials. Now, the enchanting itself became a gold sink, and they even made if so your gear can break and you had to pay more gold and use a different set of materials to fix it so you could keep enchanting again! Enchanting could even go down! Oh, and the materials couldn't be purchased, they had to be farmed by hand, which slowed down progression significantly! And yes, I know that some materials could be purchased and that later patches did away with some of these annoyances (and replaced them with new ones) but still. Oh, and did I mention that each gear tier had its own individual enchanting materials? Super convenient!

Then I have to talk about the dungeons. I think the dungeon design philosophy changed for the worse. In classic Tera, it was possible to run all Normal Mode dungeons without any prior experience, with the exception of Manaya's Core. And Manaya's Core was a momentous event. You wanted to run it, you had to be ready, i.e. competent at your class and comfortable with the game's mechanics, and then you'd have to find someone who was willing to coach you. My first run was with my guild and we'd put out an ad for a trainer. (We couldn't clear it that time & I still had shitty faction gear so DPS was subpar) Tried again on a different server with a different character, during the Wonderholme era. Same result. Finally, I joined a Serious™ PVE guild finally managed to clear it multiple times on multiple classes. I even offered my services for another hapless guild doing a training run. (Couldn't clear. I guess the lesson is one trainer isn't enough) Later I even managed to solo heal Hard Mode on my mystic.

Basically, what I'm trying to get at is that clearing MC required focus, teamwork, coordination, and skill. This was a great dungeon and a great test of your skills. Basically, you had to "git gud" so you could successfully run MCNM, then be able to run it in your sleep, then git gud-er so you could run HM, craft Visionmaker gear (a long, laborious process) at which point you became a god. You'd make money selling Regent gear. If you were really good and could 4 man the dungeon, you could sell the 5th party slot to some rich scrub who wanted Shandra's Quill without having to put in the work.

What I'm trying to get at is that while there was challenging content in the game, you could go on your merry way never having touched it and still have plenty to do. The challenging content is just like a dangling carrot for all new players, there to encourage you to get better but by no means necessary to run.

When I got back to Tera in 2020, things were different. Obviously, it had been close to 5 years since I even attempted to play seriously. The thing is, trying to see this from the perspective of a brand new player, it really was utter nonsense. The devs wanted to rush people to endgame, so they made the 1-65 process as streamlined as possible. 5 hours if you were lucky, 7 if you weren't. You'd basically run each lowbie dungeon once, hit 3-5 levels while you're in there, and move on to the next. If by the end of that you had some idea of how to play your class, Tera then throws you for a loop with Apex! Now you have to forget about the way you played before and incorporate these new skills into your rotation. Oh, and all glyph upgrades are now free and automatically given to you. Now you have to work on your EP talents, except, oops, they're broken and many don't do what they're supposed to so you have to consult a guide for that. Speaking of guides, gone are the long detailed class guides on Essential Mana (which won't even load anymore) that go over the pros and cons of every skill and glyph. Now you have to find and join your class's discord where it's literally some guy screenshotting his EP and Glyph setup with a badly drawn graphic of his rotation.

And on the subject of dungeons (which I'd been trying to get to for several paragraphs now) it seemed like the design philosophy was to weed out all but the most determined of players. The impression I got was that each new dungeon that came out after a certain point was made to be Challenging™ but not teamwork and coordination type challenging, but "here's a bunch of one shot mechanics to memorize and avoid" type challenging. And then once the dungeon had run its course, they'd nerf it and bring it back in some future patch. The one shot mechanics would still be there, of course, but now you have a free insta-res button that prevents your party from wiping if too many people die. All of the "easy" dungeons had this convenient feature. So really, there was no real incentive to learn to avoid these mechanics and survive because you could just pay some gold and be back on your feet.

Basically, rather than developing a suite of dungeons and new gear to go with them, they'd release 1 new, shiny dungeon and gear, then bring back a bunch of recycled dungeons that they'd nerfed.

I still remember the Wonderholme patch well. It was, coincidentally the last time I seriously participated in endgame. All other times have been attempts. The devs released four new dungeons +1 hard mode, and three new sets of gear. Steadfast, which was enough to get by, but one you didn't want or need to keep because Wonderholme was easy to upgrade to, the aforementioned Wonderholme set that would get you through all of the content no problem, and the BiS craftable Nightforge set for those who wanted to show off. Steadfast gear dropped in WHNM and through tokens that dropped in the other dungeons. Wonderholme dropped in WHHM and came in BoP and BoE (if you were lucky) versions. All were enchanted with the same materials and system as previous gear. Alkahest and Enigmatic Scrolls didn't suddenly become worthless because the dev's decided to fix what wasn't broken. Frankly, it was incredibly easy to get geared during this patch because WHHM wasn't like MCHM. It's super easy to get carried in a 10 man raid, the challenge became the luck of the draw and competition between others of your class and/or armor type.

Speaking of MCHM, it was not made obsolete and removed. You still needed to run it to be able to craft Nightforge gear, though the higher stats on the new gear made it easier. The only old dungeons that got removed were irrelevant shit nobody ran anyway because it served no purpose, like Fane of Kaprima. You could say it's because Tera was still new and didn't have a huge rolodex of dungeons it could endlessly cycle through yet. Still, IMO this patch was still the golden age of Tera and it was all downhill from there. The Reaper patch was the beginning of the end.

In 2020, there was a huge gap for mid level gear. It went from, "you can clear this with free, shit tear gear the game gives you automatically as long as you enchant it a bit" to "everyone who runs this already has current BiS +15 so good luck keeping up." Not to mention the handful of dungeons that were utterly closed to you because your item level wouldn't be sufficient. FFS, you could run most things with +9 Agnitor and everything with +12 in Classic.

And don't get me started on the inflation. In 2013, you could buy EMP at 1:10. Character slots were 5k on the broker. Race changes 25-30k. IIRC, when the tradable Elite voucher was first introduced post Gunner patch, it was only 60k. I know the prices for a lot of those things skyrocketed after GF took over because their shit was just more expensive for some reason, but still.

Speaking of money, after unsuccessfully trying my hand at Tera's endgame, I settled on that as the goal. Just my luck, Tera had a very easy way to make money for someone like me, and that method had been around for quite a while. I'm talking, of course, of Commander's Residence. 10k per run, 13 characters, card boxes, and scrolls, once a week, every week for close to a year made me go from 3 million to 30-something by the time CR was patched out. Oh, and don't forget those silly little companion dudes who could complete virtual dungeon runs for you. Those halidoms sold for a pretty penny before they were nerfed. After CR was removed came the Enchantment Finesse, which could be reliably obtained from companion adventures and would sell for 7k a pop, on 3 characters, was 21k a day. Twice that if you were determined. All that money gathered for a rainy day that never came. Because really, what was the point?

In Ye Olden Days, I always struggled with money because I needed gear, I needed enchanting materials to improve that gear. But at this point, I'd decided the current endgame content was pointless and there was no sense in gearing for it. And subsequent patches made many of the enchanting mats inaccessible without having to run the content, again. And it was impossible to catch up because the devs didn't want to equalize everyone or devalue the work those with BiS gear put in to obtaining it. So they made it easy to upgrade. Basically, if you had +15 Kaia, you could run the fancy new dungeon and work on upgrading it to Kaia's Soul, but if you were brand new, you had an uphill battle enchanting your gear because initially, that feedstock was not cheap. Basically, after CR was removed I had no desire or incentive to participate in any endgame content, so I watched two separate gear cycles come and go without even claiming the free new gear on some characters.

And that was my Tera experience. Like the game itself, it went out with a whimper instead of a bang.

So what now? Will I try any of the private servers? Well, for whatever reason, no one has attempted to recreate the Classic Tera experience, which was the last time I liked the game. The closest is Tera CZ, which is on the gunner patch a.k.a. post 65, which is when the game started really going downhill for me. It’s still better than the level 70 patches though.

No, it’s more likely the death of Official Tera means I’m saying goodbye for good. I’m not exactly an MMO person. Me playing this game was a complete anomaly. I only picked it up because a bunch of other Simblrs were trying it after it went FTP and the game looked pretty. Yes, that’s my Tera origin story. I’d go as far as to say that my life would’ve turned out better and more productive without this game in it.

Dearest Little Arlo,

It's me, the you in the future. I know you think you're the toughest guy around, but I'm here to tell you what's really gonna happen in your life. So you thought you were gonna be a big tough warrior? Because magic classes are stupid and weak?

Listen here you little shit.

When you turn 17, you're gonna fuck up big time. I know well enough that no warning could have stopped me from getting my ass expelled, but here's that warning. And after that, you're gonna end up getting your ass beat in the alleyways while you get your life together. You're gonna make even more mistakes until 19.

At this age, you'll move to Iyvesgarth because your aunt passed away, and you're going to enroll in Roseryce Academy to continue your precious warrior training. They're gonna put you in a team you'll think is garbage, but you'll learn to treat them well. For a little while, you're all gonna be the best damn team in the city once you learn to get along.

When you meet this team, it's going to be a mess. You're all gonna be everywhere, and your team will be a trashfire for the next semester and a half. No one is good at what they planned to train for, and you're all arguing with your teachers, the school, each other, over everything. It'll feel like you'll never get anywhere.

During that nightmare, at about 22, your counselor is going to step in. Nevermind all the bad habits you find yourself slipping back into, because this man is going to be your savior after you nearly overdose one night. He's going to pull you in every week, way past his pay grade, and he's gonna set you straight. No more fighting, no more drugs, no more bullshit. First thing he teaches you is a healing spell in case you fuck up again (and you will, and that spell saves your ass).

I know, I know. Healing was your most hated magic type, right? Thought it was only for weaklings?

You're going to learn this healing spell, and you're going to get damn good at it. Guess what? You can't escape the proficience in magic you hate so much. And you'll find out real soon that your teammates are gonna need that.

There'll be a girl on your team, Hanaia. One day you'll accept how gorgeous you think she is, and stop trying to humiliate her in front of everyone. She's going to get hurt during a class assignment in the field that goes wrong, and your spell is going to save her. You're going to panic and spill your heart out about your attraction to her, and this'll be the first time you learn to hold someone gently.

You'll also find your best friend in the team, Milo. A smartass with a wicked good aim, he's going to get caught up in some trouble too, and your spell will keep him going. He'll be your motivation to learn more healing spells, to hone your magic, and start on a real path in your life.

The others who benefit from your new life's path are Terabeth and Flinton. You and sweet little Tera are going to benefit each other immensely, and you'll save her life too during your studies. (Hani will get jealous of you two being close at first, but you'll push through it.) Flint can be quite stealthy, except when he isn't, and he'll need you there when he gets caught in yet another trap.

It's gonna be hard. It's gonna feel like you'll never get anywhere. But keep pushing on. One day, things will look up, and you'll stop wishing the sun never rose. I know you want to be king of everything, but life will show you the place you really belong. You just have to keep your eyes, and your heart, open to the light.

Healing isn't weak, and magic isn't stupid. It's going to save your damn life, and the lives of your teammates, your family. It's going to pull you all through until the day when you become the best healer in this half of the country, and the time you're expecting a precious little brat of your own. And you better thank your God he gave you the second and third and fourth chances for this life of yours to happen.

Keep fighting, little Arlo. But not the fight you pick with your bare hands; Pick the fight that keeps you alive.

Toshiji listen this and shouted " ye kya bhallaji ,you don't even let my puttar eat at peace ,hamesha uske khaane pe nazar lagaate rahtein hai ". Mr bhalla - no toshiji ,I m not eye on his food but don't you think now he should try to take care of his body ,in some days he will complete his MBA and had to join business . He should be fit na. Talking like this they reached their college . He parked his car and both walked towards their group which consist of Romi & mihika , mihir & Rinky , Abhi & ishita and Raman . Boys were friends from many days while girls had joined their group because of their respective boyfriends . As Raman was bit plum and nerdy ,no girl want to be his girl beside being rich. At first he felt bad but now he is ok ,his friends too use to call him mote and fatty but now he is habituated with it and take it lightly. Soon the classes started and all went to attend their class . It was in the mid of class when ishita heard a beep on her phone indicating that she has received a WhatsApp message ,she took her phone and opened it . It was from the new girl their group shagun. Though shagun was not in their class but she was rinky's friend and being a new girl ,Rinky introduced her into their group.All welcomed her wholeheartedly except ishita ,as she has noticed abhi around shagun from the day they had met . They had some fight too but every time abhi make her understand saying she is misunderstanding them ,they are just friends and she being his girlfriend always get convinced to him . Ishita made a dirty fave and spoke " is shagun ne mujhe kya bheja hai ". Saying so she opened the pic and got shocked ,seeing shagun and abhi pic together . Raman didn't noticed this as he was busy in the lecture ,ishita waited for the lecture to complete . After the lecture end ,she went out and called abhi ,only to know that he no more wanted to continue their relationship as he like shagun more ,. Today they went on date and he had proposed shsgun , she has also accepted his proposal and now they are couple while he is breaking up with ishita. She was shocked listening to this , she felt her legs giving up . Ishita sat on the grass while tears started flowing from her eyes , she wiped them again and again but they were unstoppable ,she folded her legs to her chest and broke into tears ,hiding her face there . After sometimes ,she was still sobbing when she felt a hold on her shoulder . She raised her face and saw it was Raman , he got surprised seeing her crying . He scooped her face in his hand and asked softly " hey ishu why are you crying baby ,kya hua ." Ishita hugged Raman and cried even more ,he asked again " ishita you are scaring me ,bol na kya hua . meri jhaansi ki raani , ,you always stood by me ,whenever I needed you .and you are not even sharing your problem ,bata na." I(still sobbing )- that idiot abhi broke with me ,he ditched me . R-(shocked )- kya . I- humm , he ditched me for that shagun ,they are on date and he lied to me . R- what are you saying yaar , how can he do that . I- usne kiya aisa ,I loved him ,I loved him truly with all my sincerity and he cheated me . R- I always told you ,there is something fishy between them but you always trusted him madly ,ab dekh kya kiya us idiot ne . I- ab main kya karoon , I love him so much . R- arey pagal hai kya , he don't deserve you ,tu ek kaam mar ,you too try to forget him and try to concentrate on your studies . Shot 2 Next morning as decided ,Raman went to ishita's house to pick her and both reached the college . Ishita got down and waited for Raman to park the car . Soon he was done ,both reached to their group soon where romika and minky were standing along with abhi and shagun . Ishita stopped on their sight ,Raman noticed it ,he held ishita's hand and spoke slowly " ishita yaad hai na ,humne kya decide kiya hai ". I- Raman mujhse nahi hoga ,main ja kar ke us shagun ka muh todh doongi abhi ,how shamelessly she is laughing at me . R- why only shagun ,won't you tell anything about your abhi . I- use to main maar hi daalungi ,but I can't pretend . main abhi jaa kar use batati hoon . R- to mat kar na ,rather try to forget this cheater abhi. see him ,he don't have a bit of guilt on his face aur tu mari jaa rahi hai us cheater ke liye . and what you will end whom you will teach ,see your abhi's hands ,how protectively, he is holding shagun as if someone will take her away . S- see her ,yesterday you ditched her but instead of crying and being sad ,she is enjoying with that fatty . She spoke making abhi realize that he hadn't meet ishita after their breakup . Thinking so he thought to meet Ishita and he too was going behind ishra when shagun stopped him and spoke " where are you going abhi ".. A- just going to meet ishita , she must be very upset ,I wanna make her understand that I we two are more compatible then me and her .She must be disheartened and sad ,may be not lovers but we can be friends na . S- are you mad ,main us Ishita se friendship ,kabhi bhi nahi .I don't like her . A- why ? S- because ,because haan because you were away from me for so many days because of her only ,either I had started liking you from the day I came to this college but she had tagged you as hers that's why I hate her . He walked to ishra and spoke " I was preparing myself to apologize to you thinking you must be sad and crying but seems you don't care and is looking very happy with this fatty. " Ishita saw him ,her eyes become teary ,Raman saw her state and thought that she will burst out anytime ,thinking so he got up and spoke " why do you think that she will cry for you . tumne saaf saaf kah diya that you are done with her ,then what she is suppose to do ,wo royegi to tu waapas aa jaayega kya ". A- I m not talking to you but my girlfriend . R- correction ,ex girlfriend . I think you forget ,you ditched her yesterday only . A- yeah I ditched her ,tujhe kyun itni mirchi lag rahi hai rather you should be happy that you are getting chance to sit beside her warna mere rahte ,had you ever got chance to sit beside her. tujhe chance mila hai na to kar chance pe dance . R- I m not doing any chance pe dance rather just supporting her as you left her in mid . A- in mid what do you mean by that ,we are in college dude ,college mein sirf passing affairs hotein hain na ki life time , ishita I m sorry darling if you are feeling bad ,but jaaneman you know how I m shagun is giving me rooms which you never allowed me ,sirf pyaar se relationship nahi chalta ,it demands more and shagun is open . They were still talking when the professor entered the class and all settled in their places . Though ishita didn't get much of the boys talk but she started crying as the thing that her relationship with abhi is over was clear with their talk .Raman held ishita's hands and signalled her not to cry ,she nodded but continued sobbing silently long ,then finally she forget after long and concentrated in studies while she noticed Raman glaring abhi all the time making a disgusting face .Ishita was eagerly waiting for the period to end and she can ask about his and abhi's talk .Finally period ended, ishita turned to Raman and asked " ab bolo". R(confused )- kya ? I- what you two were talking . R- who two ? I- jab marega na tab pata chalega ,what you and abhi were talking .? R- you leave that ,tu bas itna samajh ki he is not a nice guy and try to forget him . Shot 3 R- I told you na, Abhi is not a nice guy , tu bhool ja use and try to concentrate of studies , ye pyaar vyaar mein kuch nahi rakha hai . I- ok will do as per your pravachan but at first you tell me what you guys were talking . R- were we talking in French? I- nahi to , it was English only . R- to dhakkan, usme kya hai no tu nahi samjhi . I-what that relationship demands more and shagun is open . R- you didn't understand that . She shook her head negatively while Raman smiled and spoke " that's why I call you dhakkan , sweety if you don't understand these all then why do you get involved in these . Ishita made a dirty face and spoke glaring him " Raman are you going to tell everything clearly or should I punch you hard ". R- arey baap 're, main to darr gaya (laughing hard)- tu mujhe punch karegi, had you seen me and yourself , mujhse aadhi se bhi kam hai tu and you will punch me . I- Irritate mat kar , bol na what's it . R- he was talking about getting physical . I-what?. R- humm more means kissing and getting physical . I- iski to main, seriously I m so dumb , didn't understand his intentions , even though he had tried to get closer to me but I thought it was just heat of moment and ignored . don't know that he is doing everything intentionally .Che how stupid I m . R-you mean to say , you people gone close to each other. I- no don't know what's it but though Abhi was my boyfriend , I was never so comfortable with him . His way of holding me and touching , I never liked it , now I m understanding , why I was uncomfortable. R-chal chod , now forget him and try to concentrate on studies . I- wo, to main karoongi hi but before that , I need to teach him a nice lesson, bada aaya, I was a passing affair. Saying so she went from there in search of Abhi while Raman chased her and spoke" ishita stop ,Maine bola na ruk ." I- no I will not ,main teri tarah coward nahi hoon . how can you be silent after listening such bad thing about me ,chee. R- arey Ishita listen na ,baat ko badhaane ka kya faayda . Ishita was searching abhi while Raman was convincing her ,running behind her ,that's when she spotted Abhi and shagun. She walked to them ,turned abhi to him ,gave a hard slap on his cheek and spoke " kya bola tune ,I was a passing affair , I was not open , you looser, you are not suitable for me . you know you deserve this cheapster shagun only . PDA chahiye na , so when you bed her ,to uska video bana kar viral kar dena ,why only you everybody will enjoy it ". Saying so she held Raman's hand and went from there ,while shagun and abhi saw ishita will anger filled eyes . Abhi spoke " I will not spare her ,how dare she hit me ". S- what attitude she has , why didn't you hit her back . A-not like this , now I will answer her nicely, just wait and watch . On the other hand ishita was drinking cold drink in canteen to cool her anger whike Raman was scolding her for hitting Abhi" tu pagal hai Kya, why did you hit him ". I-what I told you na I m not coward like you , he told bad about me so I too slapped him . R-but he spoke to me while you slapped him in public what if he will try to harm you . I- you are there na, you be with me . R-I m there but from now you too have to be careful . I- I m careful , you don't worry much Like this they talk for sometimes then left for their class while abhi and his friends has started keeping eyes on ishra . From next day ishra started spending more time with each other, Raman has found a lovely friend in ishita while she too got a caring friend .ishita felt safe with him while he was loving her presence around him . Slowly ishita started liking his nature over his look Raman has stopped himself to think anything for ishita as he considers that they are not compatible in any sense. One day it was a common friend birthday and he had called ishra along with Abhi, shagun and their other classmates. Ishita was not ready as it was a late night party but Raman assured her parents that he will be ishita . Amma trust Raman a lot, though he was not perfect look wise but ishita's parents like him much because of his soft behaviour. On the other hand Abhi has something bad in his mind to ruin ishra friendship. Ishra got ready and reached the venue at the decided time . They were having a nice time with their friends while abhi wrote two chits and instructed the waiter to give it to ishra . The waited did same , ishita saw the chit and got confused , she saw Raman's name in it and thought why he is giving her chit when they are in same party and looked for Raman but he was nowhere . She got confused and thought may be he wants to talk something so he is calling her in terrace on the other hand Raman read the chit , it was someone informing him that Abhi has hired some boys to kidnap ishita . And Raman went out to check those boys while ishita went to the room and opened it . She was the room with very dim light while noticed Raman standing near the window , she called his name many times and spoke " Hey Raman what happened why did you call me here , party to neeche hai ". R-will tell you at first you come inside. I- no pahle tum bataao . R-arey come na yaar , you are mistrusting me . I- no nothing like that but why are you standing in dark . R-because I wanna say something to you , actually about my feelings to you ishita . I- your feeling , what feelings .? She was about to enter the room when she received Raman's call , she got confused and saw the call then the person standing in front of him . She immediately understood that there is something wrong and picked the call going out of the room . I-hello . R-ishita tu kahaan hai , th theek to hai na . I-haan , nahi ...but where are you . R - ishita you please don't come out of the party hall wahin rehna, it's a trap . I- ok ok .butI m so scared, you please come soon , why are you panting so much. Before he would answer she heard his scream and the phone got disconnected . She was going downstairs when a strong pair of arms held her and spoke " where are you going , that Abhi told me that you will be mind tonight ". Ishita saw a fat man like Raman's physic was holding her , she got to know everything and bite the man on his hand , he winced in pain and left ishita while she freed herself and ran down . She reached the party hall and told his friends that Raman is in danger , they all ran out and saw some men beating Raman while he was fighting with them with all his might . Soon the boys helped Raman and those men ran away while ishra ran to Raman and hugged him tight. He cupped her face and asked " ishita are you alright ". I- humm , main theek hoon but why are you fighting with these men. R-they had come to kidnap you . Ishita told that it was just a trap to stop him to save her and told about the other trap of hotel room . Till now Raman has stopped himself a lot whenever Abhi mocked or insulted him but today he went too far . He went to Abhi and beat him blue black , he even clutched his neck and was strangling it when ishita stopped him . Raman warned Abhi to come near ishita or plan against them either this time he is leaving him next time he won't forgive . Last part Days started passing ishra friendship has become more strong , they had come more closer but neighter of them ever thought or tried to take their relationship further. Their exams has completed and Raman has started going to office while ishita was waiting for results, sitting in home itself . It was Saturday,today Raman had not gone to office as today is his leave . They only work for five days in a week,Raman thought to spend the day with ishita , they had even planned much things for the days. Raman informed toshiji about their plan and went to meet ishita . He stopped in front of her house and pressed the horn , soon ishita showed up and called Raman inside . He went to his home and she called him in , he settled in the couch while she brought coffee for him . He started having coffee when ishita spoke " Raman I wanna show you something. " R- Kya? I- wait . Saying so she went inside and came with a photograph .She showed it to him and spoke "Raman see this " R- what ? I- (showing a boys pic)- how is he ? R- at first tell me who is he , tera bhai vaai hai . I- noways,this is not my brother but Amma, appa has chosen this boy for me . Bol na kaisa hai . Raman looked at ishita for sometimes while she was all busy in looking the picture, he took the pic and spoke seeing the pic nicely " he is nice and handsome , fit bhi dikh raha , you can go for him ." I- achcha hai na , I too liked him but thought to ask you once . R- that's nice , you can meet him . He spoke meekly while ishita was noticing his expression from cores of her eyes . He returned the pic to her and asked " I had planned much for today , tu mere saath aa rahi hai or you had some plan for him ". I- arey nahi , I don't know him yet . Chal kahaan chalna hai what you have planned . R- was thinking to do some shopping , then will have lunch in a nice restaurant then we will go for a long drive , then we will sit on our place (a bench beside a lake ) and spend sometimes together, talking random things. I- I m on for this , come let's go . Soon ishra were out , driving on the roads of Delhi , after sometimes they reach the mall and went inside . Raman asked " what first ladies or gents ". I- we should go in gents section as you have to do shopping , I don't have to much shopping . R- ok chal , I have to buy some business suits and formal cloths for office , papa was scolding me that I don't have office going cloths . Soon they were in men's shop choosing cloths for Raman . They picked some nice suit for Raman , he went to try them and found that they were small . Ishita spoke scolding him " motu can't you became bit fit , see no cloth is fitting you , I m pitying on the girl whom you will marry you, bechari dab jaayegi tere neeche". Raman saw at ishita and she was saying it seriously , he felt bad thinking she was very much ok with her marraige thing while ishita looked at him with teasing eyes but her expression changed instantly when she saw him but sad and asked " tumhe bura laga kya, I m so sorry Raman , sorry that i called you motu, aage se kuch nahi boolongi ". R- (composing himself )- arey nahi , aisa kuch nahi hai, you have all the rights on me , tu kuch bhi bula mujhe . I was just thinking " tu bhool to nahi jaayegi mujhe apni shaadi ke baad ". I- noways , you are my best friend , I can I forget you , you were the one who stood as a support system when I was all alone and broken after who's betrayal. Raman smiled listening to her while she hugged him tight , soon both completed their shopping , then had their lunch.After that they went to the lake side , sat there for much time, talked about random things, their school,college , job,life after marraige everything then they came back . Raman dropped ishita to her house , he met her parents also , Amma even asked about the boy too .Raman told that the boy is good looking and he will be perfect if he has a nice nature , Amma got happy and blessed Raman happily.After that Raman came home back . Days again started passing , though till now Raman hadn't thought anything about ishita but after listening about her marraige he was very restless, he knew very well that nothing can happen between them ever but still he was not feeling good . He don't know what's it but he was feeling too low thinking that ishita will go after her marraige. To stay away from her and suppress his emotions he stop meeting ishita while on the other hand ishita's marraige got fixed and one day when Raman reach house , he saw ishita and her parents were sitting in his house .He got bit surprised while Mr bhalla opened his arms and called him to himself .
