Eugene ‘Doc’ Roe was a practical man. He’d always been one. Practicality was a useful thing when you were in a war zone. Practicality was, however, also why he often didn’t engage in any intimate relationships. What sort of person wanted a partner that was, above all else, a practical man? Not to say that being practical didn’t have its uses, because that would be a lie. But sometimes his remarks came off as more calloused than practical and that was where trouble started, really.

The sun had gone down and the frozen earth in Bastogne dug into Doc Roe’s legs as he slid down into the foxhole occupied by one Babe Heffron.

“Hey, Doc,” Babe said, eyes fixed on the line. “I’m fine.”

“Good to know. Where’s Y/N?” He wrinkled his nose when a cold gust of wind nipped at it.

“She’ll be back soon.“ Babe poked at the snow with his feet. “You worried about her?”

“I worry about everyone,” he replied, eyeing the line with suspicion. “How long since she left?”

“I don’t know, give or take five minutes.”

Eugene didn’t like that. He didn’t like that one tiny bit. Without saying anything else, he got out of the foxhole and started walking.

You were walking back towards your foxhole when a hand stopped you. Eugene Roe was looking at you with a mix of emotion in his eyes that was hard to place. When you spoke, your voice faltered. “Gene?”

It had been like this for as long as you could remember, ever since you met him. Eugene gazing at you with that something in his eyes that made you question all the constants in the world. That little something that made your chest tighten and your hands curl at your sides, looking for something to hold, aching for someone to hold.

Something seemed to crack in him and Eugene’s calmness morphed into something wild. He took you by the arm, and dragged you behind some trees. Before you could ask what was going on, he pressed you back against a trunk, eyes locked on yours. “If you don’t want this, you have to tell me now.”

The low drawl of his voice made you feel shaky, and light. You squeezed his hand, and pulled him closer. He seemed to take the hint because he nodded to himself and then he was kissing you. His hands were strong, and you could feel him shaking under the few layers he wore, perhaps from cold, or perhaps from fear, excitement, apprehension. You couldn’t quite tell, and it didn’t occur to you to ask him, not when your own hands were pushing his pants down just enough to slide your hand inside, to squeeze his hardness and move your hand up and down.

“Wait,” he murmured when you were pushing your own pants down. “Wait, Y/N.”

“Yeah?” You asked, voice hoarse. “What is it?”

“I don’t want— If you got pregnant, I...”

You looked at him for a few long moments, and then smiled. There was a small tin of grease in your pocket. You pressed it into his palm. “You know what to do.”

Eugene’s eyes widened. “You mean...”

“Isn’t that what you meant, Doc?” You asked, eyes shining with excitement now.

In response, Eugene unscrewed the tin and dipped his fingers in it. The substance was cold when it touched your skin and you had to awkwardly shift so your face was pressed against the trunk as his fingers worked themselves in your ass. He was murmuring something in broken French, one arm around your waist, holding you in place. It seemed to take him forever to get you ready, but when he finally slid inside you, there was no pain. You gasped, back arching, fingernails digging into the tree bark. He started out slow, hips barely moving, but then he became frantic, both hands holding your hips in place as he groaned and moaned above you like a man possessed.

You moved a hand under your own pants and started rubbing in circles, faster and faster the more he fucked you. When you came you heard him curse, and when you came again, you felt his body tense, press himself as close to you as he could. He peaked with his face tucked against your neck.

A few moments later, as you tried to fix your clothes so you looked presentable again, he kissed you. You winked at him, and pocketed the tin again. “I’ll see you later, Doc.”

“Yeah,” he said, smiling. “I’ll be seeing you.”

He’d had her back against the wall, lips hot on hers. Lewis moved like a man on a mission, sizing her up for a battle that he would surely win ten times over. It was impossible to tell what’d gotten him so riled up. Was her skirt too short, a look too telling? She knew her words before were risky, but he’d never reacted quite like this. Emma didn’t care to know the answer. The euphoria of Easy’s intelligence officer’s hands down her panties had whisked the need of questioning him away.

She’d let herself into her grandmother’s cottage later in the night, knowing her grandmother would be out playing cards with old friends for the evening. Emma picked up vegetables from a vendor in town and came to drop them off before she headed back home. She’d busied herself with putting them away when she heard the door open.

“Mrs. Jones?” A familiar voice called.

“She’s not here, Lewis,” Emma turned to face the Lieutenant when he came into the parlor. He tipped the neck of his liquor bottle towards her and smiled.

“Gambling again?” He took off his cap and fell back into a padded seat in the corner next to grandma’s reading chair.

“Her habits are almost as bad as yours,” Emma put her hands on her hips. Lew smirked at the woman.

“Me and my dastardly ways, huh?” He sipped at his precious Vat 69 again.

“Not funny. I had to purchase new wine because someone,” she gave him a pointed look, “had emptied the liquor cabinet in one weekend.”

“You like my dastardly ways, Miss Emma, don’t deny it,” Another sip followed.

“I do not,” Emma crossed her arms and feigned annoyance. Lewis looked her up and down, then turned his gaze away.

“Come over here and do something about it then,” he said airily.

“You’d like that,” Emma cracked a smile.

“You know I would.” His voice got increasingly lower, his top lip shiny from his drink.

 With that little push, Emma knew she was playing right into his plan. She moved to stand in front of him, and took his bottle out of his hand, hiking up her skirt so she could straddle his lap comfortably. Without breaking eye contact Emma tipped the bottle so the contents flowed into her mouth. Nix’s hands came to rest on her thighs as she winced at the burning sensation the whiskey left. When he reached for the bottle again, Emma jerked it away. She clicked her tongue and set the bottle down on the coffee table nearby.

“What are you doing?” He asked as if ready to scold her.

“Exactly what you were hoping,” Emma gasped as Lew pulled her flush against him.

“You think so?” He bowed his head to brush his lips over her collarbone. She could feel the warmth even through her button-up blouse. She managed a ‘mhmm’ but that was all. She used her thighs to lift herself enough to allow Lewis to move her skirt up to her hips. His calloused palms slid firm and purposeful over her bare thighs, to her ass.

“Lewis…” Emma moaned when his thumb inched dangerously close to her pantyline. 

“Now now, Emma, what would you grandma say if she knew you were entertaining soldiers when she wasn’t home?”

“It’s only you,” she breathed out a laugh, “And she’d say I can do better,”

Lewis let out a short growl from deep in his chest and grabbed her roughly around with his arms around her thighs. He kissed her hungrily, standing and walking her towards the guest bedroom, setting her down halfway there when she wrapped her fingers around his hair.

“No one can do you better than me,”

He captured her lips and shoved his hand past her waistband, the other bracing the wall at her side. Emma gasped into his mouth and tightened her grip in his hair.

“Show me, Lewis,” She was nearly begging at this point, hands wandering over his chest and loosening his tie. Incredibly, Nix did as asked. He swept Emma into his arms and kicked open the door. Emma only got a chance to catch her breath when he set her down and started removing clothing. She locked the door and leaned against it, eyes taking in every feature of his bare torso.

“You too.” He walked over and worked at her buttons. He was a master at taking off her clothes by now. Emma made sure his belt was the next thing on the floor. His hips jumped towards her hand in a needy display. His face was buried in her chest as soon as he dropped her bra to the floor. Again she was off her feet, soon dropped again onto the mattress.

“I need you, Lewis,” Emma sat up on her elbows, admiring Nix’s dark eyes as he held her gaze, pulling at her skirt until she could nudge it off of her ankles. He maneuvered between her legs, pulling her hips against his. They both gasped, melting into the heat of each other.

Happy new year!!

I wish you all a very happy new year. I hope that this year 2020 will bring you happiness and success to you and your loved ones but also and above all health!

For me, this year 2019 was one of the most beautiful years that I have had to live. First of all because at the start of the year, I chose to join the Tumblr community. It allowed me to actively join this family that is the fandom of Band of Brothers and The Pacific! I had no idea that there was such a caring, kind and respectful community of facts and people and I am so grateful to have joined it! Then, I made the decision to create an imaginary blog which is certainly not very active but which opens the door for me to combine several of my passions that are writing and these two tv shows! I also discovered anime that changed my life! I changed this year, I feel it in the way I see things now, in my behavior and also in my writing. I feel that this year has been a trigger for wonderful things still to come! I hope I can continue to be part of this wonderful HBO war family, meet wonderful people and accomplish new things!

Of course, this year has not been easy and those to come will not be easy either but for the moment I want to shout that we are alive, that we have succeeded this year. I want to shout that I am proud of you who have suffered terribly but who continue to fight, I want to shout that I care about you, that you count, I want to shout that I love you no matter your sex, your sexuality, your religion, your situation, your nationality, your origins, your skin color. I want to shout that you are not alone.

I wish you all the happiness in the world and I hope you enjoy these magical moments with your loved ones. It is the little moments that are most important. And if you do not organize anything (like me) you can always go through my ask box, I will be delighted to make new friends, get to know you and simply speak even if it's about the weather!
