Purification, love, and friendship are just a few of the most popular uses for lemon in magical practices. As well as longevity. It’s most associated with summertime, and with its bright yellow color and summertime associations you’d think it’d also correspond with the sun, but it’s actual planetary correspondence is the moon.
🍋 You can add a slice of lemon to your moon water, to use for cleansing second hand items, charms and other objects.
🍋 Add a slice of lemon to tea being shared among friends to strengthen the bonds of friendship, or in a purification or cleansing tea.
🍋 Hang dried lemon slices to bring blessings and good luck into your home.
🍋 You can use lemon peels (and the flowers from lemon trees) in love spells; most notably in spells involving platonic love.
🍋 Add dried crushed lemon peels to any poppet for magic related to friendship, blessings, luck, happiness, and self love.
🍋 Add lemon to your bath during a full moon to help boost manifestation spells or rituals. You can also do this when making moon water too.
🍋 Use lemon seeds in spells intended to “grow” or manifest something related to love or friendship. Or in spells that you foresee will take a bit of time to manifest.
Lemon is also known for being high in vitamin C, which helps boost your immune system. It’s used in teas and elixirs to help fight against common colds and flu. It’s high in dietary fiber so it’s also known to help aid in healthy digestion. It’s high vitamin C content also helps promote a healthy heart and liver.
Whether you’re making tea, having a bath, or using poppet magic lemons can be used in a wide variety of ways from the mundane to the magical.
please note that while i go into a bit of depth about some animals, most of these can also have characteristics added regarding the species of animal they come from (such as crow wings vs bluejay wings)
skulls- connection to the animal it belonged to and its properties
please understand that i highly discourage actively killing an animal for your witchcraft. if you find roadkill or bones, purchase parts/bones/blood, or have hunter friends who are willing to let you harvest past the meat/flesh, please feel free (this is what i do.) if you are ok hunting animals for food and using the body for magick as well, go for it. but please dont mindlessly kill/sacrifice animals. its disrespectful towards the animals, the earth and the energies involved.
I started a Grimoire a year or so ago, but then I started adding random stuff to the notebook that had nothing to do with witchcraft. I gave up on that lol.
I decided to start again, and I got all stressed with how I’ll organize it, so the only things I’ve added are:
Different salts and their uses and such
Also rosemary
The beginning of lavender
Definition of cleansing/purification
Glued in different waters
I mean it’s not awful so far.
Here’s ⬇️ what the water page looks like. I started out by cutting out the whole square and then realized I didn’t have enough room, and it was more room efficient to just cut the jar part out. It’s not all types of water, but quite a few.
Has ever happened to you before: You get a craving for something sweet, but you don't want to make a huge mess in your kitchen baking. Then you remember you have half a bag of marshmallows in your cupboard. Combine that with some butter and cereal you have on hand, you got a satisfying sweet treat.
But, oh dear...those marshmallows are not as soft as they once were. They've gone stale. Heating them in a pan or microwave will not allow them to puff up like they are supposed to. How will you get your cereal treats now?
After you try heating your marshmallows with your butter, and the butter melts but the mallows don't puff (about a minute and a half in the microwave) Try adding 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and a pinch of salt, mix and heat again.
The baking soda should give your marshmallows some needed fluff. Now you can mix in your Cereal.
In the future, try storing your leftover marshmallows in an air tight container or jar.
Marshmallows have good properties for Happiness, Fun, Creativity, Childhood, and Sticking Together.
Peonies are very sweet smelling flowers that bloom in late Spring and are perennials (they bloom every year, no need to replant). They can come in pink, white, purple, red, orange, and yellow. They are low maintenance besides the daily or weekly de-weeding process. They do not transplant well so it is always better to plant as a bulb in an area that can handle how big they grow (2-4 ft. in height and 2-4 ft. to spread). Peonies last a long time, some even growing up to 100 years old, a wonderful plant to share with the family for generations.
♥Cultural Symbolism and Legends♥
►Peony roots, seeds, and petals are edible in small amounts but could cause stomach aches if not careful!
►In Japanese culture the peony symbolizes a happy marriage, courage, good fortune, and beauty. The colors of the peony are also different in symbolism as the red peony symbolizes eroticism while the white peony symbolizes virgin purity of maidens.
►In Chinese culture the peony symbolizes prosperity and the embodiment of female beauty. By the Tang Dynasty the tree peony had become a symbol of wealth and status. And then by the Song Dynasty the peony had become a muse for Chinese painters.
►The Greeks believed that the flower symbolized healing. In legend, there was a physician named Paeon that served the Greek Gods who also been a student of Asclepius. Leto, the Greek Goddess of fertility, had told Paeon about a magic root that grows on Mount Olympus and could soothe any pain especially associated with childbirth. When Paeon went to search for this magical root, Asclepius had become angry about this and wanted to kill his student. Leto heard about this and asked for help from Zeus who had turned Paeon into the peony flower.
♥Using Peony in Your Spellwork♥
►Keep a root on you to promote attraction in beauty, wealth, or to protect from any mischievous imps and fairies.
►Boil down the petals to create peony infused water to add to your baths or, for a simple skin care regimen, splash a little on the face and pat dry.
►Keep petals with you to protect the mind, soul, and body from negative energies and allow for better clarity.
►Use in ritual for attraction, money, bonding, confidence, and cleansing.

Vanilla Beans
Feminine
Planet: Venus
Element: Water
Deities: Venus, Aphrodite, Tonoacayohua
Properties: Love, lust, passion, vitality, happiness, healing, friendship, stress, anxiety, luck, beauty, increasing mental focus, calming, strength, peace, tranquility, comfort, dreams
Uses & History: Vanilla has a rich, sweet smell. It’s considered an aphrodisiac which invokes sensuality, sexuality and romance. The essence of vanilla enhances emotional growth and attracts good fortune. Vanilla in the past was highly sought, and very expensive (it still is). Vanilla relaxes the nerves and stimulates the senses. Ginger, rose and cinnamon work well with vanilla.
Folklore: According to legend, there was a time when there was no vanilla. In the city of Papantla, Tenitzli and his wife were blessed with a beautiful daughter. She was so beautiful, they didn’t want to give her away in marriage to a regular man — no one could possibly be good enough. Instead, they dedicated her to Tonoacayohua, the Goddess of crops. There, their daughter, Princess Tzacopontziza, dedicated her life to serving at the temple. One day, a young prince named Zkatan-Oxga saw her retrieving flowers to make an offering to the goddess. He was so overcome with desire, he swore to kidnap her and flee. The next day, he waited in the bushes for her. When she passed by, he leapt out, declared his love, and urged her to come with him. The lovers fled, but their escape was not to be. Priests of another god caught them, and offered up their bodies as a sacrifice. On the spot where their blood was shed, the grass began to wither and die. In its place grew a lush bush with an emerald-green vine. The vine seemed to twine around the bush in an embrace, and, before long, it produced beautiful flowers. These flowers gave way to slender pods, which gave a perfume sweeter than any incense.
