HOWDY FOLKS I've not drawn very much as of late since. uhhhh. SEVERAL things happened. but one of them is because i went to a miniature painting convention this past weekend!

it was super fun! here's a couple minis i painted-- first one was just for fun and i want to make her into a character now, second one i did in a class on painting with limited palettes! i did that with only three different colors of paint!

#thee colors. three bottles! didn't even use black or white! it was just a really dark blue. a magenta. and a yellow #*three colors. not thee hdsjhssjhd #anyway other reasons i haven't drawn much is. the weekend before that i was helping a friend with stuff #we had to. put kiki down last monday. that was not fun #and kiki's health had been declining for weeks before then #and I've been super busy packing and going back and forth between my parents and my apartment ~3 hrs away #and preparing for school. so yeah it's been. pretty busy as of late! I've done little doodles #here and there #and I've managed to join the aggies a few times #but yeah. owudoshdjdgdjdhfjgj #OH NORMAL TAGGING STUFF I SHOULD DO THAT #miniature painting #miniatures #idk actually... what to tag.... oh well! #OH I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER MINI I PAINTED don't have a picture for it yet #and i started working on a fourth but didn't end up finishing it before the convention ended

#yes this is how we got together. yes i know you remember this and it was also annoying back then #box opener #we both had to work today but managed to fit in pancake breakfast and vegan italian restaurant dinner so i consider it a success #pancakes are really outrageously good. and very easy to veganize with no decline in quality which is a perk in a Mixed Diets household #if you don't make your own pancake mix i recommend trying it at some point. it lasts a long time and it tastes nicer b/c you can combine #various flours and meals to add additional flavor beyond the enticing yet weird glue paste quality that i always get from white flour only #however i was raised on whole wheat + oat flour pancakes so i may be the only person with this problem. #forget my anniversary this is a pancakes post now. do you think pancakes are better with additional flour types???? went outside and exercised normally for the first time since The Incident and i felt fine outside of the expected Hasn't Exercised in several months feelings. against doctor's orders btw but i would rather be dead than forced to spend all my time at home not doing a single thing that could exert me in any way <3

#:) #like it's so funny that they mandated i cannot drive leave the country vigorously exercise or eat snack food maybe ever again for no reason #fully my medical notes read like i'm in the managed decline phase of a terrible chronic illness even though i'm literally chilling #i feel no worse than how i normally do a couple weeks after a rough covid infection like babygirl i have no debilitating symptoms....... #PLUS my kidneys are slowly unfucking themselves anyway like. do i really need this much independence taken away for my own protection...... #longterm housebound for a short term Silly Incident??? please be serious for more than two seconds #cranky about this because it's been a month and there's still no diagnosis but they have the room to tell me what i can't do #my appointment a couple days ago was supposed to clear me to do certain things again but they denied it and i've been sulking for days #literally the only thing wrong with me is that my blood tests are saying bad things and some really annoying side effects of my meds #and i can guarantee that me resting and doing nothing is not the reason i'm not in pain or otherwise suffering in any measurable way #even when i was actively in a state of dying in hospital i wasn't in pain like get with it!!! #sometimes if i think about this too hard i end up feeling like a caged animal lmao

spent almost an entire paycheck on a brand new bed frame a few months ago so that my gf and i could have a nice one when we moved (as it stood neither of us had a non broken frame that we could bring with us when we moved) we’ve only been here two months and it’s fucking broken bc despite shelling out the cash it wasn’t enough to not get a piece of shit made out of particle board and shit measurements i’m so fucking mad why does capitalism ruin literally everything

Physically being able to feel my body building up to a fall and being able to do very little about it until the event is just so unbelievably frustrating

#after a fall Ill have like 2 weeks of wobbliness a couple days of the best health Ive had in a while and then its just a steady decline #every 3 months or so #tripped making noodles earlier and it wouldve been pretty bad had I not managed to grab the doorframe #I knew it would happen to #was goinf to drain them and thought actually better ask my aunty #I could see myself falling with the hot water and not 5 seconds after I gave her the pot I tripped #tis the life unfortunately #hereditary spastic paraplegia #disability #physically disabled

#small update post #long story very short: my mom passed away from cancer last week #she'd been sick for a few years but went into a sharp decline we weren't expecting #so everything is a mess with house & medical bills and family being here and all kinds of stuff #and i am also. a mess #idk if i'm going into an art hiatus or if when i manage to process everything i'll just want to Make Things #might open commissions like i'd been thinking about #definitely looking to set up a storefront for prints like i'd been meaning to for ages #idk when. probably when days stop blending together. hopefully soon #so yeah. hope you're all doing well. thanks for reading 🖤

#oversharing in the tags #this and last year has been kicking my butt not gonna lie #I have been noticing a slight decline in my mental health #so since the rona stopped the world 3 years ago - my therapy appointments were ended because of budget cuts etc. you know typical bs #and at first I thought huh this isn't so bad. I think I can manage just fine without #but lately... I'm not so sure. #the sucky thing is I gotta re-apply for all that stuff... I was declined once already so I don't have high hopes #that I guess explains why I've been a bit volatile lately with my emotions being all over the place #the lows have been really low lemme tell ya #I'm my own worst enemy and dealing with my lifelong self loathing is really hard sometimes but I keep trying to move forward.
