#jewish argentinian but i grew up reading all kinds of stories #the fox is usually a man...he is usually devious and he always wins...i wanted to be like him when i was little #the turtle is as sly as the fox but she doesnt let it show. she can turn every situation to her advantage. sometimes shes a man but #mostly a very small enduring old woman - shoutout to la tortuga manuelita #the MONKEY now i dont remember that many monkey stories if im honest....but i see them as mostly a rowdy crowd of very silly boys #i dont think theyre usually individuals #they are a pack of chaos #but honestly...sometimes theyre clever too #the hare if i must be honest is mostly the turtles rival in my mind...shes self centered but not as clever as she thinks she is #but she can be wise sometimes #the wolf is interesting because i now know hes mostly the dog version of the fox in a lot of stories. but *i* grew up on ivan tsarevich so #hes a friend to me!! a very wise friend who will support you no matter how many times you fuck up #the dog is...a grandpa. if hes the main character hes most likely an old chap who is extremely loyal to a human family that possibly #mistreats him. but he can also be a helper like in prunella!! he just needs to be loved and appreciated for what he is #and as an addition: the distinction between wolves and dogs in stories usually lies in their relationship to humans #though of course this doesnt stop the beloved friend of prince ivan from being a wolf...but he is special #the lion stories i knew were mostly aesop and aesop fables are. very contradicting heehee...sometimes he is doomed by his pride #and sometimes he is rightful king so. idk lions are doing their own thing #THE MOUSE. now the mouse to me is similar to the clever girl: very astute #but unassuming and trusting #and the narratological difference between a mouse and rats in my head is their status as individual protagonist or collective antagonist #the mouse can be a more childish version of the turtle maybe #finally the donkey...hes enduring as the turtle and usually loyal and brave too #though not very smart #a beloved childhood book of mine was about a good donkey that found a family with many children who loved him and i liked it a lot #mostly i feel like donkeys are objects rather than subjects...no agency and probably no dialogue #like when the father and the son face public ridicule for all the ways they handle their donkey #birds obviously vary wildly between species...the crow and the raven are self obsessed goth kids while the peacock is a self obsessed prep #but singing birds can be good and very brave and are most similar to boys in love who will most likely suffer....and then raptors can be #the lions of the sky

Pajarracos o Aves Del Terror: Los paleontólogos consideran que, al ser en realidad caranchos mutados, no deberían ser aves del terror, el nombre "Pajarraco" es posiblemente una deformación de un nombre de dichas aves prehístoricas, Phorusrhacos; igual, nadie les hace caso. Sea como sea, los pajarracos han reemplazado a los extintos caballos como la montura predilecta de los gauchos; sus filosas garras y pico son un beneficio en la peligrosa Pampa, son resistentes a la radiación, son buenos compañeros y vienen en una gran gama de colores. El único incoveniente es que son carnívoros, pero hay bastante para cazar y arriar.

Manuelitas: Mutadas de las tortugas de agua dulce comunes en los ríos del Norte, las manuelitas alcanzan un tamaño extraordinario, llegando a confundirse con islas en los esteros cuando se toman siestas que pueden durar años. Pese a su reputación pacífica, descienden de animales carnívoros y son aún onmnivoras. Más de un vaqueano fue tragado vivo cuando se tomó una siestita en una "isla".

Vaca Loca: El equivalente de los Brahmin norteamericanos, por razones desconocidas, las únicas razas de ganado estables son aquellas bicéfalas (dos cabezas). Pese a su aspecto extraño y a su leche... poco apetitosa, siguen siendo la principal fuente de alimento y cuero en las pampas y el resto del país.

Mosquitos: Alguna vez estuviste en el norte y dijiste "fua, acá los mosquitos parecen caballos de lo grandes que son"? Bueno.

Beelzesapo: Al haber mosquitos grandes, sus predadores también aumentaron de tamaño. Cuidado por donde andás.

Megayacaré: Los leviatanes del Paraná, estos inmensos animales mutantes serían el terror de todo lo que nade, de no ser por su bajo metabolismo y su temperamento tranquilo, con excepción de proteger sus nidos. No ha habido sobrevivientes registrados en un encuentro con un megayacaré; las balas y hasta el plasma rebotan de su cuero. Por suerte solo viven en el agua...

Carnotoros: ...con excepción, por supuesto de sus versiones terrestres, que te hacen mierda 5 veces antes que toques el piso. Los gauchos saben que no hay que meterse con ningún carnotoro, y prefieren perder una vaca loca de vez en cuando a ser masacarados.

Gliptodontes: Descendientes de los pocos tatúes carretas que quedaban antes de que caigan las bombas, estas criaturas son sorprendentemente pacíficas si se crían desde pequeñas, y son usadas para llevar las cargas que las vacas locas no pueden.

Linuxes: Pinguinos que han decidido dar vuelta la cosa y se dedican a cazar focas. En tierra son amigables y abrazables, con excepción de los dientes.

Guardanaco: Las llamas y los guanacos, con ciertas mutaciones, siguen siendo animales domésticos fieles. Los guardanacos, sin embargo, son criaturas horribles que te escupen pus radioactivo en la cara.

Michi: Básicamente un yaguareté del tamaño de un gato doméstico. Igual de feroz.

Carpinchos: Siguen siendo iguales, aunque forman colonias subterráneas para defenderse de los múltiples predadores que los acosan.

Hormigas gigantes: Alguna vez fuiste al norte y viste esos hormigueros enormes y te preguntaste que sería si fueran más grandes? Bueno.

Cotorras: Las cotorras del norte siguen siendo igual de parlanchinas, pero mucho más inteligentes. Muchos las tienen de mascotas y les enseñan canciones, o a llevar mensajes discretamente. Algunos dicen que están formando su propia civilización.

CD Collection Tag Game

Hey, guys! I decided to create this tag game because I’ve never seen a CD-related tag game, so I decided to create one!  How many CDs do you have in your collection? 16 CDs, 11 are original and four are mixes that I’ve made myself, and one was made by my friend. Oldest CD you own? I don’t really know exactly, but I think it is a Hits For Kids CD that my sister gave to me (My mom says that it’s actually the Manuelita, La Tortuga soundtrack). But, anyway, I own Hits For Kids (I listen to it when I’m nostalgic) and the soundtrack for Manuelita, La Tortuga (Even though I don’t listen to it anymore) ever since I was a kid. Newest CD you own? It’s an Ego Kill Talent CD that my father bought to me. It’s an amazing CD, all their songs are amazing and I can’t wait for the new album. Unfortunately, their CD doesn’t run on my computer, but it works fine on my DVD player.  Most favorite album? I have so many! My Greta Van Fleet albums, Headlines and Deadlines by A-ha, Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits, Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears... Least favorite album? I don’t have a least favorite album on my collection, but I would say that it’s “AM” by Arctic Monkeys because I grew out of my Arctic Monkeys phase. I used to love them, but now I don’t listen to them that much anymore. I still have their CD, though, because it reminds me of how much I loved them and when I get nostalgic, I’ll probably want to listen to it.  Which CDs would you like to own? Greatest Hits I and II by Queen, the soundtrack for Bohemian Rhapsody, Greta Van Fleet’s new album (I’m waiting for this album for SO LONG), Ego Kill Talent’s new album (Which I think it’s called The Dance Between Extremes, I’m also waiting for it like crazy), and The Hot Sardines’ albums, but they’re pretty hard to find where I live. Do you make your own mixes? Yes, and I love doing that because making my own compilations is putting your favorite songs in a CD and just listen to them. It’s something really lovely.
