One Dress a Day Challenge

July: Blue Redux (+ Green Redux)

Little Shop of Horrors / Tichina Arnold as Crystal, Tisha Campbell as Chiffon, and Michelle Weeks as Ronette

These are the outfits worn by our "Greek Chorus" during the opening credits, showcasing the bubble skirt look that was fashionable during the early 1960s, when the movie is set. The dresses also feature stiff "wings" on the bodices, matching hair ribbons, and spotted blue net gloves.

In addition to different dresses for every appearance, they also get different hairstyles. With their lavender dresses, they wear shorter and more helmet-like styles; these hairdos with the blue dresses are a little longer and more playful, with a bit of the 1950s still about them. I like the way each one's hair ribbon is slightly different (bow versus headband versus headband with bow).

The spotlight is on mother Michelle and she is a smoking treasure, combining being pretty, cute, mature and, well, sort of regal. She's enjoying an all-whites 100s length cigarette with daughter Christy nearby preparing for her time in front of the camera with SmokingModels (Florida, U.S.A.) web-master/web producer Austin capturing all of these wonderful mother-daughter scenes and their smoking magic!

Ah, Mother-and-Daughter teams! How wonderful . . . and this is one of the best ones in SF history, in our little corner of the Internets! Ordinarily the younger woman in the family, the daughter, is more attractive than the older woman, the mother. Here, we'd say both are exceedingly beautiful but we'd give the nod to mom ⏤ whose daughter, Christy, does appear in this post repeatedly. Together, they are a luscious one-two punch that few SF aficionados can withstand without taking a step or two (or more) aback! Michelle (a.k.a. Mechelle and/or Bobbi), featured here on this post, needs no apologies for her sexiness, borderline gorgeousness and truly hot smoking. Perhaps Christy is the better of the two at smoking. Mother Michelle is a fine smoker ⏤ perhaps more stylish than her daughter ⏤ with more years invested in the habit and time to refine her style. But Christy is well on her way, with fewer years as an addicted, habitual smoker, to reaching her mother's level of need, smoking desire and cigarette hunger . . . and seductive smoking style. Wonder how Christy picked up the habit? Is there another sister involved in the mix ⏤ a half-sister of Christy or full blood? We'd say Michelle guided Christy toward cigarettes, and if there was any hesitancy, Michelle steered her toward regular smoking. How Christy became a "Sexy Smoker" could have been a natural evolution or Michelle might have flat out given her stern, graphic advice on how to get there and why it's pivotal to do so. Any way you slice it, this mother and daughter duo is a remarkably sexing smoking pair! Sincerely wish that Austin, also the SmokingErotica web-master/web producer, would not have stopped with just this one shoot of them together. Alas, it is what it was! Michelle nowadays, sorry, is at least giving some thought to life in her 60s. She must be in her 50s by now or darn, darn close to it at least. At the time of this video's shooting, most likely she was in her late-30s to mid-40s. So do the arithmetic, folks. This was likely shot at around the start of the previous decade in 2010, perhaps into the early-2010s. So, if, as a random age, Michelle was 40 at that time, she is in her mid-50s as 2024 has dawned. And with every passing year with veteran smokers such as Michelle, statistics as well as American cultural trends dictate that the likelihood of Michelle quitting has increased with the clicking off of 20 cigarettes a day, 140 a week, 560 a month and 6,720 a year ⏤ IF it's a pack a day! She might have smoked in the neighborhood of 100,000 cigarettes since this video was made. That's just how it is. Or maybe they'll be together again today, with one of them stopping off by the store to buy the herself and the other a few packs, and they'll be smoking up a storm together later in the day, perhaps with children/grandchildren in tow! Imagination is a key part of being afflicted with SF!
