TFOU conference spoilers

As everyone already knows, TFOU released an unimaginable amount of spoilers during their conference. And although there are many people eagerly trying to find every last one of them , I will not be searching for them as much as others as there are a lot of pictures from the two part episode “the Kwami’s choice”. As of now, I have only seen two pictures and those two will be what I will be analyzing and talking about.

The first picture to analyze is a picture of what appears to be an akumatized villain. It is quite obvious that this akumatized villain is Nathalie given that the details of the room, from the wall, the ladder leaning against a tall book shelf built into the wall, the antique vase and the color of the floor, all resemble Nathalie’s room.

After Nathalie realized Gabriel had gone crazy and decided to stop providing him a helping hand, we still didn't know for sure whether or not Nathalie decided to stick around. We can see in the picture that akumatized Nathalie has one of the Alliance rings, which were released to the public weeks after the events of “Evolution”, possibly revealing to us that either 1. Nathalie did stay but decided to limit how much she will do to help Gabriel in his business alone in order to at least remain close to Adrien for his protection, or 2. having decided that she needs to cut off her ties with Gabriel, Nathalie might have chosen to leave the Agreste mansion and is now only briefly returning in order to talk to Adrien before she leaves for good.

But whatever it is that Nathalie is going to do in this episode, there is one thing we need to keep in mind now that Nathalie is no longer on Monarchs side, and that is despite not being in league with him anymore in his plans to obtain Ladybug and Cat Noir miraculous, it is Monarch who still has not decided what to do with Nathalie! After all, as of now, Nathalie still remains as one of the two (the other being Tomoe, so far) who is aware of Gabriel’s identity as Monarch. We may not yet know what happened to Nathalie, but because of the things she knows, Gabriel may now be on high alert to make sure that Nathalie does not decide to completely betray him and spill his secrets to others.

As for what Gabriel plans to do with her, well, that’s just something we will have to wait and see, but given their situation, Gabriel may decide to either give her a warning to not tell a soul about who he really is and to not be so rash as to believe she can get off scott free should she decide to take a chance to reveal something to Adrien or anyone else, OR...Monarch may decide to take no chance with Nathalie and make the decision to get rid of her before she can gain the chance to do something which will blow his cover, but again, lets just wait and see what the episode has to offer.

The next image is of course one of the most shocking, which is an image of Adrien and Marinette giving up their miraculous.

As for what exactly could have lead them to do such a thing, well, at the start of season 5, we see that Adrien had finally begun to realize that he has always had feeling for Marinette and is now in the process of attempting to pursue her romantically. However, due to the events of “Strike Back”, Marinette had now decided to avoid all of her romantic feelings for Adrien, including Adrien himself, in order to prioritize her mission to rescue and retrieve all the kwami’s and miraculous. Of course we know this situation will eventually have its toll on them, leaving them frustrated over not being able to be with their love interests, however, in terms of why they are giving up their miraculous is fairly simple and it is in fact something we have already seen before when Adrien was dating Kagami and Marinette was dating Luke, which is that so long as they have the burden and responsibilities of the heroes of Paris, Ladybug and Cat Noir can NOT be in any kind of romantic relationship, and since neither one of them knows the others identity, this leaves them in an even more complicated situation where they simply do not know what to do to make things work in order to not let their heroic duties get in the way of their love lives all over again. They cant know their identities to lift their burdens and realize they were always together, because so long as they are still heroes and so long as Gabriel is still Monarch, things will always lead to disaster, not just for them but for all of Paris, we saw this happen in “Cat Blanc” and “Ephemeral”.

We know this takes place in ”The Kwamis choice”, and given the title, it is possible that the ones who will interfere in the midst of Adrien and Marinette's dilemma is Tikki and Plagg. Plagg and Tikki are fully aware of both Ladybug and Cat Noirs identities, unfortunately it is because of this that makes them the only ones who can break the struggle faced by their holders. The episode is called “the kwamis choice”, so in an attempt to help their holders finally be happy and be with one another, Plagg and Tikki may suggest to do the one thing neither Marinette or Adrien would ever think to consider, because it was always out of the question, which is to simply give up being Ladybug and Cat Noir!

Although Marionette and Adrien are currently the holders of the ladybug and cat miraculous, we must never forget that no one is entitled to the power of the miraculous. No one has a right to keep the power of a miraculous and this includes Marinette and Adrien, they were simply entrusted with the responsibility because master Fu knew they were selfless and trustworthy enough to take on the duties as miraculous holders. But because these miraculous can be used by anyone, Plagg and Tikki might suggest to them to simply give them the miraculous in order to find someone else who can take on the burden as holders of the ladybug and cat miraculous. Of course this would be a very disheartening and cruel situation for everyone involved, but given how miserable Adrien and Marinette look, they may have no other choice but to consider their kwamis offer and hope there is another duo who can replace them and defeat Monarch, a decision which we all know will not be carried out so easily as the two can not be easily replaced by others.

Let's analyze it, purple is clearly Hawmoth's color but also representative of Adrien (according to the scheme) so it is confirming more of the same that he is going to be a villain, now let's notice that there are 6 peaks, right?
