Thanks! It was pretty good. I organized my embroidery floss and took advantage of being alone in the building to dance around like a maniac for about 20 minutes. My cat hated it. My knees aren't sure they approve either.

Wei Wuxian as Naruto has a lot going for it right out the gate. Orphaned sunshine boy protagonist types, now we're cooking with propane. They're even both fox coded!

However, at the risk of stating the obvious, if Wei Wuxian were Naruto he wouldn't be Naruto anymore. That is. Fundamental to Wei Wuxian is that he is brilliant and talented and he damn well knows it. He would excel without effort in ninja school--not as much as he did in Jiang Sect unless he unlike Naruto was still getting personal mentoring in honor of his late father, but still.

Difference is, when this Wei Wuxian slacks off in class and the teacher tries to embarrass him, if he reels off the correct answer and then reinvents senjutsu from first principles in a creepy-sounding way for a lark just to show off, the teacher is not going to think that he's just like his annoying late mother. (Though he'll still have one. Kushina and Cangse Sanren are fairly similar Dead Mom archetypes too.)

The teacher is going to think things like, no real child would say that shit and I'm expected to teach the monster fox that killed my family basic ninjutsu I hate this I hate this we're all gonna die.

So basically this Wei Wuxian gets his Yiling Laozu reputation mod as part of the starter pack. I don't think he'd handle it super gracefully! But not the worst, either.

Not even as badly as he did in the actual version, probably, on account of he doesn't know his own dark secret. So he can't self-isolate to protect it. Though him pulling away from people once he does learn would be cool.

He'd probably have forged slightly stronger social ties rather sooner than Naruto did, even if he was just as neglected and radioactive; Wei Wuxian doesn't care what people think of him nearly as much as Naruto does, but in some ways he's a more genuinely social person, and he's got much better social intuition, so it's easier for him to figure out what people want and either do that or not do that on purpose.

He'd have at least a bunch of casual friends. Mostly civilians, and other kids from ninja school whose parents told them not to play with him but they did anyway.

Wei Wuxian cannot do therapy no jutsu. He does not have that ability to confront and exist with emotional discomfort or that intensity of interest in what is going on with other people.

He does however have some level of Friendship Beam Attack (the plot to some extent hinges utterly on how effectively it hit Wen Ning) and it would presumably be more effective, in a shounen context.

But that's the thing, Wei Wuxian isn't really built to confront shounen manga style problems. Or, well, he is, but he's overbuilt for them; they're his bread and butter. One of Naruto's key motifs, early on at least before we got into the heavy power creep, is not being a genius.

Wei Wuxian, by definition, is a genius. He is the kind of guy who walks up to shounen manga sorts of problems scaled to what ought to be his level, handles them, and goes 'what, like it's hard?'

Wei Wuxian is designed to be destroyed not by external threats but by his own loyalties, politics, and lies. (Which was a point of confluence with Itachi I didn't really touch on because the flow was so different lmao.)

He's also, otoh, designed to be destroyed. Naruto is designed to start off artificially low and climb steadily up toward heaven. (Ymmv on how this worked out but he sure did escalate.)

You have to pick which schema to apply when performing the fusion--I mean, it's not either-or, the whole deal with Wei Wuxian is he goes through the entire arc of a tragedy and then comes back to life and stars in a romcom. These things can superimpose and stack. But there are structural decisions that have to be made early.

So anyway, Wei Wuxian as Naruto is not going to enter the Genin Team phase of life with the same priorities, even if he has largely conducted himself about the same way hitherto. 'Proving himself' so 'people will accept him' is not a motive that works for this character--you basically have to give him actual precious people earlier just to get him to care about attaining ninja rank at all.

Otherwise he would probably much rather loaf his way through his teens stealing jutsu and making trouble. Which is the well-adjusted reaction to the idea of becoming a child soldier, like. He likes recognition but 'showing off' is a reason he does dumb fun things, not difficult high-commitment ones. He's like if Shikamaru had ADHD and no parents.

Being twelve is going to make him dumber, but I can't see it making him not the kind of person who stops caring about his marks in school if the teacher is hostile.

If Wei Wuxian here isn't acting out of appreciation for the Hokage raising him, or something like that, you have to give him a practical motive to enter military service like 'Konoha stops supporting orphans out of the public purse at thirteen so he's got to get some kind of job and ninja is the least boring option' which. Is significantly less like either Naruto or Wei Wuxian in terms of reasons to do anything, and starts getting into solidly OC territory.

The whole fact that Konoha's worldbuilding centers around an attempt to move away from decentralized clannish social organization and promote the idea of shared, communal social institutions and (in theory) civil society, and the ways this does and does not work out for people especially considering it is still a relatively small military dictatorship, honestly interfaces super interestingly with how, in Mo Dao Zu Shi, one of the underlying challenges backstopping all character choice is that there is no feasible alternative to the clan system, and you have to pick a family-faction to depend upon and submit yourself to, or face the world with no safety net.

Like. Huh.

.....Kishimoto is honestly unusually-for-shounen well-grounded in the genres he's riffing on tbh, for all my bitching there were some very good reasons his work found such success; I would have liked to see what kind of story he produced without the insane pressures of the Weekly part of Weekly Shounen Jump. I wonder if he'll ever publish again. For all I know he already is lmao.

So anyway, however we manage it we get Wei Wuxian on his genin team with like. Lan Wangji and Mianmian or whoever. Actually that's hilarious. Yeah, make it lwj and lqy, both of them so done with his shit.

Setting up some wild role-reversal here--Lan Wangji being the one to go Away and Wei Wuxian asking him to stay? Or Naruto-person leaving into the dark, and Sasuke-person remaining and calling for him to come back? Either way. Getting some inversion. Tasty.

Where does this leave Jiang Cheng, though? Because in a lot of ways Uchiha 'Deuteragonist by Editorial Mandate' Sasuke is straddling both roles.

In many ways Wangxian is much more like if Naruto had an endgame romance with Neji. Which is a great ship tbh, I saw very little of it back in the day?? In a series with a smaller cast or with less Sasuke Creep (not sasuke being a creep, it's like power creep) it would probably have done numbers.

...Naruto going away for that timeskip really limited his opportunity to make connections in the village huh.

I guess it depends on the kind of narrative you're trying to put together. On one hand, you can do Jiang Fengmian as the rather-more-involved Third Hokage, with Jiang Cheng as an aged-up Konohamaru kind of figure. And then Jiang Yanli is standing in as both Iruka and. I know I know the ramen guy's name. Ichiraku. Soup! XD Emotionally significant soup!

But with a different backstory than either lmao. Kurama very possibly killed Yu Ziyuan in this universe, though I can't visualize her as a midwife.

(Actually Jin Ling is Konohamaru and Jiang Cheng is aged-down Asuma. But whatever.)

And in this case Wei Wuxian's genin team is Lan Wangji and Mianmian under idk who. Lan Qiren, possibly, although he seems more the Ebisu type. Lan Xichen? (It's not like he can serve as a plausible Itachi. Can you imagine.) Actual Kakashi, possibly; we can't replace everyone with mdzs characters; the cast sizes don't square.

Kakashi training Wei Wuxian is very funny to think about. He deserves this.

Or on the other hand for a different pacing and focus, the genin team is him, Jiang Cheng, and Jiang Yanli under Jiang Fengmian, who dies sometime after or probably during the climax of the chuunin exams. And Sarutobi stays Hokage, and probably doesn't die during the chuunin exams. And we aim for a Naruto/Neji kind of romance storyline lol.

What is the Lan Wangji equivalent of Neji exposing his caged bird seal in front of god and everybody and ranting (it is very unclear at what effective volume though you'd think the proctors would have shut him up if he could be heard from the stadium seating that shit was sedition) about his traumatic backstory and the deep injustices in his family's system of hierarchy? I'm gonna say Not That.

Wei Wuxian versus Lan Wangji important ideological-conflict bonding duel in the Chuunin exam finals sounds excellent though.

Either way Wei Wuxian is going to get much more thoroughly involved in the ugly ninja politics than Naruto ever did, and he's going to hate it so so bad and at least temporarily lose so so so hard. A likely story element is he becomes troublesome enough he winds up having to flee the village ahead of a scheme by Danzou to (fatally) rip the Kyuubi out of him and implant it in some thoroughly conditioned ROOT kid.

Maybe Wen Ning?? Idk. I'm mostly saying this because Wen Ning 1) canonically gets Victimized and Transformed and 2) shares some notes with Sai. And this means he's leaving, in part, for Wen Ning, which ties into some plot and character stuff from their original narrative. You could make it work.

Also him taking the replacement human sacrifice with him when he books it would be hysterical.

Anyway he's branded a missing nin and it is, canonically, illegal for him to tell anyone who doesn't already know about the kyuubi thing, so both Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji are appropriately what the fucking fuck and receive no adequate answer. This is a workable plot element.

Either the Jiangs or the Lans are the Uchiha, here, which has its own story value, lots of fun to be had. Gotta engineer a way he's protecting Jiang Cheng--does Danzou want to make him the jinchuuriki? Is Orochimaru or his replacement making a play for Jiang Cheng's bloodline limit, whatever it is, fun if it's eyeballs, and Wei Wuxian bargains to give him a jinchuuriki instead? Hmmm.

You want an inside and an outside threat, the obvious viper and the political spider, so you can silo information and make sure nobody entirely knows what's going on.

If it's Jiang Cheng who's assigned the role of bloodline limit macguffin, I have the very wicked urge to cast Yu Ziyuan as some combination of Itachi and Obito. Very Vader kind of effect.

Jin Guangyao as Kabuto, excellent, I need that innocent smile and those torture skills. This may require making Jin Guangshan much smarter than he really is just to fill out the ranks, or again you can keep Danzou as himself.

Tsunade is amusingly enough occupying an overlapping Baoshan Sanren and Wen Qing position; given one of them impersonated the other that time you'd have to do something with that. She's also got some Yu Ziyuan vibe up ofc. Tsunade just contains an entire franchise's supply of girlboss tbh.

Who could possibly stand in for Jiraiya, nobody, but at the same time. Wei Wuxian (with internal sapient asshole nuke) apprenticing under Jiraiya of the Sannin sounds like enough problem-creating goofy jackass genius clown energy in one place to open a singularity. That's too much. No narrative could survive.

Anyway someone please feel free to write this, I am intrigued but also will 100percent never ever put in the time it would take to realize any version of this concept.

Okay so...about the licorick. I had him blocked in telegram for months since i first saw him sending some pedo shit in the group chat that i no longer a member of (mostly because i left after that incident and it wasn't a moderated group before it happened), but i had no idea i will hear more about him, i literally just woke up today and all my mutuals are talking about the beware post on him that finally got created. I wasn't really surprised, but my jaw fell right on the floor when i saw there's also my now former mutual being involved in that.

This is the pinnacle of the currently ongoing russian fandom part drama. You can pretty much recognize the @.monika-fan0 drawing style, tho i have NO FUCKING IDEA what could be in that person's head to straight up draw something like that unless they're into that sick shit just like their "friend" licorick (who is widely known across the russian part of the fandom as "that one lunatic with pedo takes that he sents to local fandom confessions", and his DNI list literally includes "softies/normies" what more can i say?). There's also multiple statements from different people about Monika being a proshipper, creating/being an admin in one of the hate confessions directed towards one of the lorax artists and even creating a mascot for MAP-oriented group...Whatever you call it, it's still pedo and DEFINITELY not healthy.

Since peiple started sharing the beware post and asking questions about the drama and the mentioned collab, Monika has released an official statement that basically goes like "lmao, sorry if i offended someone, I don't care, just isolate yourself from people you don't like/want to see"

Not to point my finger at certain someone, but a particular artist who you might remember from their vampire onceler oc with a blue tailcoat showed up in the comment section and started defending monika, saying that "she shouldn't apologize to these lunatics"..you can pretty much read and translate it yourself if you want to.. *sighs*..well. more people for me to unfollow/block...

I think the fact that so many people want to label Leon/Ashley as canonically "sibling- coded" is because they feel threatened in the way they view other of Leon's relationships, they can tell Leon and Ashley have chemistry and they try to convince themselves that they have a familial bond going on (like Ellie/Joel) so that they can justify not shipping them and making people who ship it feel bad/weird.

Because nowadays so many people can't just dislike something, they have to make up a reason why it's morally wrong and unacceptable so that way they can bully people that think differently and feel like their own personal opinions are objective and right while everyone else is wrong smh. This is mostly the case with younger fans (tho a lot of people older than me does this too lmao) so that's why I don't really find it frustrating bc it's most likely they have limited real life experience. Plus they might not be that good at interpreting canon from contextual clues yet.

In my case though I think a lot of these people are actually doing the opposite tbh because to me it just shows that they recognize that Ashley's relationship with Leon is real and they can't even concede that they're friends in the canon because they know it could lead to something else if followed through in the story, they admit there's potential there subconsciously with how hard they try to make it seem otherwise with nonsense claims. It's like when insecure guys feel uncomfortable but try to seem tough by buying big trucks and having guns on them all the time lmao.

So, I've talked about this before -- about how the "sibling coded" or "problematic age gap" discourse is just modern-day fandom's way of slutshaming and engaging in casual misogyny in a societally acceptable way.

I'm pretty confident in saying that anyone in my generation who slaps "siblings" on Leon and Ashley are probably people who have another ship and have had it for a while and don't want Ashley getting in the way of it, tbh LMAO

Like.... my generation has co-opted the current generation's vernacular, but make no mistake about the kind of bitches we are. We're ship war bitches. That's all we've ever been AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO CHANGE OUR WAYS NOW fjdskfh

But if we're talking about the current generation...

Media illiteracy is a big factor in this. It's no secret to anyone that the US education system took a massive shit starting in the late aughts/early 2010s, and things like critical reading skills aren't being taught in schools anymore.

I graduated high school in 2007. Two years later, I went back to visit an old English teacher to get a letter of recommendation, and he was lamenting to me that he'd just given up. It wasn't worth trying to explain the deeper themes of Beowulf to kids who didn't care, because the only thing that mattered was getting them to pass standardized tests.

So, now, without an overt, explicit declaration of love or something visually concrete like a kiss, kids literally do not have the skills to parse through a text and pick out themes and tropes and use of symbolism and imagery. They were never taught how to do it.

But there's a more culture-based thing happening here, I think. It's this fucking mess of a cocktail of internalized misogyny paired with learned helplessness, social anxiety, intense sheltering possibly exacerbated by the pandemic shutdowns, peer pressure, and internet purity culture.

I think it's pretty safe to say that fandom is predominantly made up of women and teenage girls. That was true in the 60s in Star Trek fandom, it was true in my generation, and it's still true today. And what I've seen happening today is that young women are absolutely terrified of their own sexual agency -- because the internet keeps telling them that, if you're under 18, it is wrong and bad and unacceptable for you to engage with anything even remotely sexual and how dare you express your sexuality -- and you'd better not do it not just because it's wrong and bad, but also because you are GUARANTEED TO BE PREYED UPON IF YOU DO. SEX IS DANGEROUS ALL OF THE TIME AND YOU'RE LITERALLY TOO YOUNG AND TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND ANYTHING SO DON'T TRY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. Because if you're 17 and he's 18, he's a pedophile!!!!!!!!

I just.

So, we've now basically turned an entire generation of young women into the same type of young women who created the BL genre in Japan. These are women who were too afraid to explore their sexuality on their own, and it felt safer to do it with two male characters, because it was always more "okay" for men to be sexual. This is happening here in the West, now.

Slash ships have always been a thing in the West, but not to the degree that they are today. In today's fandom, if you have an M/F ship at all, you are outnumbered by at least 3:1 -- because M/M just "feels" safer for a lot of the current generation.

So, I think young women look at the Remake portrayal of Ashley Graham, and they identify with her. A lot. They're probably around her age, and her personality is very relatable to the kind of girls who play video games. Ashley's clearly introverted, but she's a fast learner who just wants to help, and she's got a good heart and a weird, kind of awkward sense of humor.

And, not only do these girls identify with Ashley, they're probably thirsty as fuck for Leon.

But that's terrifying to them.

Because they have been taught to fear their own sexual agency. The idea that an attractive, traditionally masculine, older man would be romantically or sexually interested in them is immediately categorized in their brains as wrong and bad -- and they don't want to think of Leon in that way.

So... for them, it can't be romantic. It can't be sexual. this one was difficult because a lot of my ocs have a very big soft side but i think luna is one of the few of them who's actually like. more than 95% soft. mostly because of the fact they're not a mercenary of some sort like most of my cyberpunk ocs LMAO luna is the one who patches everyone up after the gig is done and they're always so gentle with those around them even if they're complete strangers. that's how she met cassidy and by definition the rest of the gang too :^) throughout the entire story she remains a constant in everyone's life and despite all the horrible things that happen, not at any point does luna turn to the mercenary life themself. they have this very strong belief that they can make themself the most useful as a medic and as a friend, not as a fighter or an enemy

this one was very difficult because vatha is in a party with artyom (nuclear artificer), lorelei (chronomancy wizard) and sascha (cthulhu warlock) but i think she (cryogenetics sorcerer) can be considered the smartest because she's got like. Everything. the high wisdom high intelligence high charisma kind of stat combination. they love reading books and learning things about the places they visit and have all this information stored in their memories but at the same time she also knows a LOT about surviving and living on the road, and she's usually the one to handle business with people they help. beacon of knowledge but also very passive in it, they're not someone who would rub it in your face but the party knows that if they need any sort of information, ask vatha LMAO

So yall know sonic underground right?

K so I'm gonna just go off on a tangent about all the weird things that I noticed and things I liked about it and things that genuinely don't make sense. (this is absolutely going to mostly be about sonia because manic has been pretty much done to death in comparison ngl)

So starting with the pilot and actual 1st episode wedding bell blues

Also im gonna use eggman because i have trouble spelling Robotnik over and over

Eggman is stated as wanting to become legitimate ruler, truthfully I'm unsure of his actual reasoning because he doesn't seem to need to be legitimate? And he could just lie to the people anyway so it makes the whole wedding fiasco kind of pointless?

Also apparently adopting Sonia is just as good as marrying Aleena, because she's crown princess, but this doesn't make sense because none of the triplets had a crowning etc.

Also does this imply that the kingdom in underground is a matriarchy? Or that Sonia is actually the oldest and sleet and dingo later made a mistake in their editing by having her call sonic "Older brother". in friend or foe?

speaking of confusing implications... arent sonia and bartelby engaged? They call them Fiance's in the show... so like... why does both Sonia and Bartelby have moments where theyre flirting with other characters? is their relationship open? do they actually want to be together? that second one doesnt make sense because the two never show that. they arent on the best of terms sure but they also get along fine...

honestly would make more sense if they were just childhood friends but thats nor here nor there.

Also Sonia for being the closest of the 3 to her royal roots, is surprisingly more okay with Manic stealing random shit than Sonic is? Like she's curious about it and finds teaching actual little kids to steal is wrong, but doesnt actively complain as much as sonic does, since sonic himself actively tells manic to put it up etc, its also possible Sonia just doesnt notice, but considering how many times it has happened id say she literally just doesnt care anymore lmao.

Actually Sonic seems like the least willing out of the 3 to just straight up steal shit, something something rich people are thieves or something, speaking of rich people...

Why the fuck did Aleena leave Sonia with Windemere? Arguably Manic was in the safest place for a 'run away' prince to go.

Who expects a prince to be in a thieves guild,

he had no documentation outside of the freedom fighters until Eggman sought him out after finding sonic.

Aleena did not have any connections to the thieves. like at all

I know people like to say canon aleena was kinda fucked up for leaving Manic there, but like... Sonia was with an actual noble, had documents, Eggman was aware she existed the entire time (whether or not he made the connection between her roots or not is a different story, he also could have left her there just to keep her where eggman would atleast know where one triplet was) We can assume Windemere is the opposite of a eggman loyalist considering she was literally knowingly keeping one of the triplets. and possibly having mild ties to the resistance given what must have been a close but somewhat unknown bond with aleena.

And Sonic's original adoptive parents were literally captured/executed? it wasnt very clear and we never see them robotized outside of the sorta canon end comic, anyways, we can assume they caught harboring sonic, or being resistance fighters, which considering they straight up knew chuck I assume they were active participants. Also theyre ironically the most likely type of place to expect missing royalty, comfortable but not overly rich family, the middle class to say, While sonia was also unexpected similar to manic but less so.

Anyways After his adoptive family goes out the window Sonic then ends up with honestly given the fact the hedgehogs all look different except aleena and her family, im going to assume chuck is Sonic's biological uncle, whether on his mothers side or fathers it doesnt really matter much to my point, Sonic was literally with his uncle. THATS LITERALLY THE MOST OBVIOUS SHIT EVER. especially since EGGMAN MOST LIKELY KNEW CHUCK PERSONALLY??? THEN HE BECOMES A RESISTANCE WEAPON??? AND THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULDNT BE CAUGHT???

Anyways Sonic was literally placed in all the worst places compared to Sonia and manic, but Manic was in the best place, since no one would expect that.

Sonia is honestly confusing because Eggman knew who she was???? Im honestly just assuming Eggman was using her as a detector for when the triplets would unite because otherwise theres no logical reason for him not to just kill her, or robotize her.

Maybe he needed a living member of the family for whatever is required that made him want to be legitimate ruler that badly??? some kind of magic like the medalions? as far as canon is concerned I have no clue but i do have my own head canons and stuff, w aus, but thats getting off topic because this is about canon su.

I think canon aleena gets a bit of a bad rep for the whole abandoning her kids thing, but its kinda implied she didnt do so until they were atleast old enough to walk, so 1-3, which does make me wonder, Sonia has photo graphic memory right? Did she just remember all of this? I mean she does call Windemere Ms. Windemere, but manic also calls ferral, well... his name, Sonic's the only one that seems to have given his caregivers titles like mom and dad,

Then again Manic was one of many, and Ferral was again, a teacher/leader, to a thieves guild, While sonia was Windemere's only ward, Now i might just be insane but

"Who are you guys?!" - Sonia

"We're your brothers!" - Sonic

"We are?!" - Manic

Sonia doesnt question it after sonic states it, Manic does, Im just saying Sonia seemed quite accepting of everything all things considered, almost like she knew it was eventually coming, while Sonic and Manic seemed more surprised by the news,

Like most of Sonia's struggling is because she was raised rich, not because of confusion of what theyre meant to do like manic does,

Although as far as powers go Manic was given the short end of the stick, And Sonic is just adaptive as a person in general, but Id expect someone like Sonia, who honestly doesnt have a problem with being pretty and girly, and rich as all hell, to struggle more? like she does, yes, but in comparison to people like Mindy and Bartelby Sonia is incredibly okay with the turn of events.

Also I still need to rewatch most of underground, but this is my thoughts just mostly based on memory.

Anyways bartelby might have gotten better by the end but holy shit should sonia have beat his ass 10x over im not even joking, like ignoring relationship stuff, bartelby actively helps eggman several times... anyways...

Now some hc,

Sonia:

1 this one might be obvious, but she remembers aleena better than her brothers

2 She is strong as knuckles, they arm wrestle and spar,

3 She is an incredibly skilled gymnast, being able to accomplish tricks on her motorbyke with ease.

Sonic

1 He has the most Eggman related nightmares out of the three, having lost essentially 3 families to him

2 hes an ego driven jerk because he cares and also semi doesnt trust either of them enough due to literally knowing them at most a year.

3 He's also used to running it mostly solo, so he doesnt realize why Sonia and Manic would be annoyed by him ditching them

Manic

1 Will steal most things, but will return most, kind of like a party trick,

2 Is surprisingly good with kids, he mostlikely guided kids down the mouse lane, and helped out with them, not to mention the sancuary kids and 3 hedgehogs and a baby,

3 has a fear of not being in control of himself, both because of kleptomania, and mostly because of the bug incident,

4 While trusting his alright skills at repairing stuff he hasnt wanted to either modify his hoverboard or sonia's bike to go anywhere as fast as sonic, stating that when sonic grabs them he feels sick. He also doesnt trust any mechanics that would have to go into that on not being bugged.

Im also gonna rewrite some of sonic underground in my free time if ur interested, its literally gonna be fixing plot holes etc and most of canon will not be changed. 90% of the plot and characters will remain anyways thats alllll

Personal vent post, how I tag things, apologies for this probably showing up in search results because I'm not censoring words (do not have the spoons rn)

So I'm getting really frustrated (at the situation, not at individual people! Sorry to vague right after getting a request, I was gonna make this post like a week ago) that multiple people have asked me not to tag Bro/Cal reblogs as Stridercest.

Stridercest does not mean incest, it means Strider/Strider relationship. I'm tagging it for followers who don't want to see Strider/Strider at all (or for those who do, too, I guess). On MY blog, it has NO bearing on whether or not something is incest. Lil Cal has been a Strider since Day 1 to me, way before any of the events after Act 6, as a pure vanilla puppet. A Strider by marriage, in my opinion. But I'm not opposed to calculating the amount of Strider that got put in Lil Cal, as I've done before. You also have Dirk/Hal which is also Stridercest, but not incest (at least in canon, sometimes it is incest in fan depictions). Or Guardiancest, which I don't think counts as incest in canon either (but usually always is in fan depictions). Even selfcest between one Strider (beta!Dave/beta!Dave in a time travel situation, for example) is still gonna be Stridercest to me.

The ONLY Stridercest I add the specific ship tag for is Bro/Cal, because that's otp5eva for me, separate from any other Strider stuff (Stridercest probably doesn't even make top 3 HS ships for me). Everything else only gets the blanket Stridercest in reblogs, because I already tag a lot, I don't have the energy to add nuanced tags for weird Strider situations, and whether or not that constitutes incest, or which version of a character it is, especially when the artist/authors don't usually make the difference explicitly stated in their own caption/tags, and sometimes it's vague on purpose! (I'm currently writing a fic where Bro and Dirk are the same person! I'm not gonna make the distinction a big deal.)

It's mostly frustrating because then I have to decide if untagging the relationship as Stridercest is going to make someone else following me uncomfortable who will then see it untagged.

Going forth, I am going to delete whatever reblog I made if I get this request from someone else again. I'm trying to remember names, so I don't reblog any future content that would conflict with their requests, but this has already happened with three people in like the past two weeks. Had to block one person for telling me to die because I tagged "Stridercest" on the post preventatively, as usual, because I care about tagging for my followers. (I literally checked their blog like 3 times to make sure they didn't have a DNI pinned, and I still got told to die for my efforts lmao.)

Literally, please just DM me privately (thank you to the other people who did, sorry for the trouble!), and I will either delete the reblog, or block you if you request that. I'm not TRYING to make people uncomfortable, which is the whole reason why I tag it to begin with.

So, I'm not un-tagging shit anymore, it's delete only from now on. I'm not going against my own blog rules I set both to try and accommodate my followers, and to make searching my blog easier for myself. But watching weebsinstash fail over and over again at life is funny, seeing her life constantly full of problems caused almost exclusively or made much worse by herself, karma is working its magic on her I guess. It's crazy how she hasn't progressed at all in life over the past 5 years. I've done more in my life over the past year than she has over the past 5 years and I'm behind the average for my age (way younger than her too). It's over for her ngl. I'd rope if I were her. The fact that she quite literally has no friends and no life outside of Tumblr means I can keep watching her fail at life and laughing at her for it and she can't leave the platform because she's dependent on it for meeting her basic social needs. Sucks to be a loser I suppose but she deserves it

Ngl a few years ago stumbling across weebsinstash's blog partly motivated me to get my life together because the possibility of ending up like her, a fat ugly poor uneducated lonely drug-addicted loveless sad-sack loser with no prospects and no hope for the future by my mid 20s scared me shitless. Her life is literally ruined and it's mostly because she was too lazy to get her shit together when she still had time to do so. Her body is ruined too, she gave herself a foot disability from being too fat and her teeth are rotting out of her mouth because she's too lazy to brush them. I'd feel sorry for her if she weren't such a bitch tbh

Blogs like 2po, lolj, hookerwitch actually spend more time obsessing and trying to find ways to nerf Jensen's success, to stalk and hate on his projects, to bitch about the Winchesters, FAR MORE than they ever actually like. talk about jared or walker. I legit think he's just something you use as a barbie of ideology and he's even been failing you there. They don't care about the dude either. It's about that Win. They don't know what Win or Lose is, but they can definitely tell they're leaning closer to Lose in their fucked up paradigm, and they're always gonna be losing, because they actually have no goal to win much less means. • he's probably not asking you to create something for him unless it's totally necessary

• still, he has a lot of respect for your stand and he definitely trusts your stand is capable of holding its own

Prosciutto:

• a similar reaction to risotto's probably

• he cares about the stand and is curious

• unlike risotto though, i think he would be curious enough to try and get you to create something though. nothing too crazy, but perhaps a few small things followed by some larger things just to test your capabilities. though he’s probably more interested in what’s going on in your mind and what manifested such a stand. i think risotto would also be like this

• definitely not asking you to make anything weird though, just normal and probably boring things unless he gets extremely curious (he probably wishes he could be a little more creative lmao)

Formaggio:

• oh this guy is gonna have a lot of fun with you and your stand Imao

• is always asking you to make things for him (normally very dumb things)

• understands why everyone loves your stand, but doesn't want to love it

• mainly because he doesn't like the attention being on someone else other than him

• probably asks you to create things for him when the others aren't around. this is his way of showing his appreciation of your stand even if he doesn't explicitly say it. appreciate this, it's the closest thing to a compliment you'll ever get from illuso :,)

Pesci:

• i feel like he would be a little freaked out at first by the stand purely because he doesn't know what the heck you're going to make

• but he when gets used to it, he likes seeing you create your characters and all the cool things in your imagination

• sometimes asks if you can help him bring some of his characters and thoughts to life too

• also loves seeing nature brought to life. bring out some butterflies and this guy is super happy :)

Ghiaccio:

• i feel like at first he would pretend not to care but the second he sees you bringing to life your own characters, he's all over it

• he's probably asking you to bring his own characters to life too. and he's probably way too excited about it. actually probably one of the few times he not angry lmao

• over all impressed by the ability and though he probably won't express that in words, you can tell by the light in his eyes each time he sees a new creation

• he's probably going to be stuck like glue to you now Imao. he wants to go on all sorts of missions with you to see what you do and how you react in situations with the stand

Melone:

• i also feel like he'd be getting very carried away with your stand

• not in the same way as formaggio though. just like risotto and prosciutto, he probably wants to know more about what's going on in your mind and what you want to create, not forcing you to create things for him

I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch that 90s show (I can't stomach Jackie ending up with Kelso, sns 🤢 she could be with literally anyone else pls anyone but Kelso or Fez, even some brand new character jfc) but I decided to give it a try

so, I decided I'm gonna at least watch the pilot and my thoughts are under the cut

warning: I did not like it in the slightest, and it's not nice lol

okay, I missed Red and Kitty, I could watch it purely for them if the rest is decent enough lol

the chemistry between the old cast so far is just as it was back then - and Red is the best as always, his lines >>>

ooof, first two scenes with Leia and Gwen - so cringe and so disney-level dialogue and acting sns - it literally feels like they're reading lines 😂

oh my god all the kids are awful - I know they're just kids and probably just starting out but like oh my god

is it supposed be this cringe and unfunny? I was prepared to only dislike Kelso and Jackie together, not most of the characters 😂

the "bro" thing is so annoying I almost turned it off - this is supposed to be comedy? who wrote this shit? 😂

but, suffice to say, I will not be continuing

I'm not even disappointed, because I did not have high hopes 😂

if it gets better and is worth continuing, which I doubt, maybe I'll check it out someday but for now it's a no from me lol

Thoughts on the Furry pop quiz

because I played it only hours before it ends, also as usual

even if I'm actually indeed a furry and have been since I was two, I'm kind of tired of furries in this game. Just how many animal and bunny events are there going to be.

locked route actually makes sense if you go through it platonically! The length is comparable, some interactions are longer when kept platonic. Episodes don't get cut immediately after opting out of romance! It's becoming a pattern because I've been enjoying events recently mostly due to them being actually not boring me to death anymore

if you go platonic, there's often something interesting about the dynamics between the boyos, so if you're playing for them and not for generic romance, there are some nice crumbs if you ask them about it

I have an impression that kiss quests will be back because I suspect that the fanbase has already started stirring shit about events having plot and not being all about kissing. But tbh I don't mind romance/harem choices actually have a kiss

I actually like this event a lot

give the boyos some lie detector animal ears and watch the show how they try to tsun around not to admit they care about each other

spoiler: it's not working and they're exposed

also Lucifer legit going "I want to sit out Feelingz", and showing that his usual high and mighty better than thou attitude is pure bullocks. Every 5 seconds, whenever he opens his mouth

but also these guys are disasters, the event wouldn't have happened if one question was asked at the beginning lmao. Aka "did anyone see [the lost thing's description]"

but srsly Solomon, that's not how research works

in conclusion, hilarious and heartwarming, a very cute event, I hope the trend continues

Horror Show (Huxloween Day 3 overdue prompt: horror movies)

I'm a kriffing sluggard, so I post this 4 days later. To justify myself I'll say that I posted earlier on AO3 and I'm not a tumblr person sooo

A tiny piece I wrote mostly sitting in school on my first day of English Philology studies lmao I was superrr bored

HORROR SHOW

aghast squeak 'Ben!!! Turn it down right now!!'

'Oh, someone's scared?'

'I'm not scared, you dork! I'm— mentally disturbed.'

'It's just a mild way of saying that you're quaking in your boots, Hux.'

'Shut up! No one who's keeping up at least some appearances of normalcy watches such movies! And eating fucking popcorn while this!!'

chomp 'What? Why? It's almost like my own sound effects. Listen. chomps louder Doesn't it sound like cracking bones to you?'

'Gross! excruciating wail in the background Wait, what's he gonna do with that axe? Is he gonna— oh my God, Ben, he ripped her guts out!!' sounds of hyperventilating

tired sigh 'Chill out, Hux. It's all fake. Can't you see this? It's so false it hurts my eyes. The entrails look like some slimy tapeworms.'

...I wanna say 2017??? Is when I made my first account? I abandoned it after a couple of months and never picked it up again (it was a kin blog, surprising probably no one) and I made this one in,,, March 2018 according to the archive. So when I was about 16.

I do not and the only thing I put in my queue is the anthropocene sea foam post whenever someone reminds me about it <3

This blog originally was a witchcraft blog. I. don't think that's the case anymore lmao.

Cool and sexy abandoned building we found during a roadtrip and one wall looked like album art!! (Also think it's especially cool how that building had the lyrics from the Garages' Deicide written on the wall and how I'd absolutely never even think about doing something like that.)

On this blog, it is, and I quote, "AAAAAAAA DISCIPLINE FUCKS HARDCORE" which 30 whole people seemed to like and I pray my blog never gets any bigger because if it gets like my old aesthetic blog I will just nuke this one and start over.
