what if I wrote an Eighth Bird Kravitz AU but there wasn't a single scene from the Stolen Century that featured into it, and instead it mostly focused on music theory/bardic studies professor Kravitz and arcana/science professor Barry at the same college, accidentally becoming best friends again by bonding over both being academically burnt out nervous wrecks

Non-Red vs Blue fans guess the fake fact: results!
Find the og post here
Alright time to finally review the results! Correct answer is at the bottom of this post for those not interested in all of the results and explanations!
Tumblr media
So the most highly voted option at 23% was Elijah Wood which I’m sorry to say is incorrect! Elijah Wood was a voice actor in the series. He played the role of Sigma! What this big name actor is doing in a random web series I have no idea but it’s still one of the wildest things to me.
Tumblr media
Now the aspirin overdose comes in with 17.3% and got mentioned a lot in the notes and it is also incorrect. However I will admit to some poor wording on my part because it was actually an allergic reaction not an overdose. That’s a genuine oopsies on my part 😅
Tumblr media
Florida sinking into the ocean gets a 10.1% and is also incorrect! The state of Florida does in fact sink into the ocean and it’s implied this was to cover up the disappearance of Agent Florida (who is also the guy who dies from the aspirin)
Tumblr media
The gay guy, who’s name is Donut btw, becoming Jesus comes in with 8.3% and is in fact very real. He even walks on water. It was wild and tbh I barely remember it cause it’s from a season I dislike but it was too wild not to include.
Tumblr media
With 7.2% I can say for sure that the giant killer robot is indeed dressed up in cute hats! Specifically a sombrero! Also the robots name is Freckles.
Tumblr media
CPR for a bullet wound in the head gets 6.7% and is in fact considered effective medical care. Now I will say this later gets retconned and it turns out the guy didn’t actually get shot in the head the bullet just grazed him and his armor locked up making them all think he was dying- hence the choice of word being considered. The characters fully believe it but the CPR did not actually save him cause he wasn’t even hurt to begin with.
Tumblr media
The crazy love triangle comes in with 4.7% and is also very canon and is exactly as it’s said. There’s literally just this insane love triangle for like two seasons- honestly the only love triangle plot I ever enjoyed.
Tumblr media
With a solid 4% I can say that there is in fact canon mpreg! Hurray? Idk man this one’s exactly as it sounds. Dude got knocked up by an alien.
Tumblr media
In last place with 2.5% of votes is the main character dying repeatedly. This is also incorrect. First off this guy is named Church which very funny on its own. Secondly it’s actually one of the first running jokes in the series how much this dude dies. Until it’s not a joke 🫠 also a few people pointed out RvB doesn’t have a main character and while I agree I felt it was simpler just to call Church the main character for this poll since it’s designed for people who haven’t seen RvB and I would argue that the majority of the narrative centers around Church even when he’s not there.
And now for the correct answer, coming in at third place with 16.1% is Caboose is god!
Tumblr media
Now I will fully confess to being sneaky with this one. This is actually a joke made within the series but it is not true at all. Caboose is not actually god and the platypus is just that fucked up. I knew nothing I could come up with would be able to match the absurdity of this series so I decided to twist a few words so that way everything seemed equally fucked up.
And that concludes the poll! I will now leave you off with a few honorable mentions that did not make the Final Cut:
They have a Spanish speaking robot. None of them speak Spanish.
He’s a ghost but not actually a ghost but actually a highly advanced computer program
Woman has mega beef with an AI copy of her dead mom
The highly advanced computer program can’t aim for shit
The first 5 seasons were revealed to actually be a prolonged torture session
Dude chases his dead gf through multiple iteration of the same memory
Woman developed a sibling like bond with an AI copy of her extremely neglectful father

yeeeeah so I'm clinically addicted to "the space school sapphic romance that becomes a high tech political thriller that becomes a shakespearean revenge plot"-
But genuinely watch Witch From Mercury, here's my pitch/rant:
it starts off with an ep0 "prologue" that already tells you this show is something. It details a science institute that was doing research on an experimental brain-linked interface for machinework (Gund-Arm, aka Gundam), the life of a few people there (including a mom, a dad and their baby), and the assault the government launched on it without warning because of that interface's drawback of being insanely demanding of the human body, and how barely a few people escaped from it.
Tumblr media
And then immediately the toneshift going back into ep1 with the protag joining a new school and somehow awkwarding her way into:
-getting into a big robot fight with the top bully in school
-winning
-gaining a courtship with the daughter of space jeff bezos and not even knowing that that would happen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The show starts off fun and wholesome as suletta and miorine grow close to eachother and other friends they make, and then from roughly halfway through S1 the show starts to give you both the happy chemicals and OH GOD moments, and oh my god it keeps getting better consistently (There's something insane about seeing a usually serious and angry character break their façade in one ep to talk about their romantic feelings, and immediately next episode, have their façade fully fall apart out of sheer fear of something).
:)
Anyway, on a non-"ohno" note
The characters are all likeable, well written and broad and each grow and change throughout the show (including background characters), multiple threadlines keep being unpacked that make you more and more excited and concerned simultaneously, and there's SO many good twists/reveals in it that completely change how you perceive the show or even where the show is going. Not to mention this show will make you question philosophies and ideals heavily. The writing on this show was done with surgical precision.
Sulemio will bring you to the top of the world and also yank you right back down without a parachute (this post was made halfway through S2 and i am in suffering but also worth it for them)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, the morals are surprisingly not as black and white as you think, and every character, be it villain or hero, has a completely different motivation which is insanely satisfying.
Also, the animation is fucking BEAUTIFUL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And with the majority in 2D even for the big battles with the mobile suits, with 3D only being used for rapidly flying small drones or complicated mobile suit coreography and the like. The soundtrack is also incredible too, with there being a crazy amount of orchestral music written for it and the main themes being of a genre only describable as "pop, orchestral and techno fused into one". Love the S2 opener "slash", my favorite overall.
but yes overall, this is a threat if you don't watch this show I will find your fridge and steal ham from it.
PS: the happy birthday song is brought up more than once in the show, and that's a happy and good thing...right?
...right?

‼️ Major spoiler for Spies are forever ‼️
Something that will never not be funny to me is how everyone (including me) was so suprised that Owen was still alive. These are my reasons:
1. He "died" during a song about how spies never die. They keep saying that constantly. The other thing that is constantly brought up is how Owen died. I understand why that is but how were we not a bit suspicious about that?!?
2. It's about spies, obv there is gonna be a huge plot twist.
3. In the first song there is the line: "who do you trust, who do you betray", we were told there would be a huge betrayal (sure, bit of a strech to say this was a clear clue, but it was a clue never the less )
4. In Torture Tango, the DMA says multiple times how he has waited for that moment for so long and we all just collectively went: "Sure, makes sense, continue" as if they hadn't literally JUST MET?!?! I get that he is very passionate about his job and they could have met off screen but Curt was off the field for four years!! If they had a history it would have been acknowledged.
Anyways, all this is to say they did a wonderfull job on covering what happened to Owen. They made it so that it wasn't obvious but there were enough clues to make it belivable, wich isn't an easy job

Hearing the knock at the front door, you sigh with your head leaning down and eyes clenched shut, your fingers knotting in your hair to rinse out the rest of the shampoo, hoping that the shower water wouldn't spray cold water on you again.
Another knock echoed throughout the Byers family home, a groan erupting from your throat. "Will, can you get the door?" you shout.
Nothing but silence had descended throughout the halls.
Remembering shortly after that your little brother Will had asked you for permission to biking over to Mike’s house not too long ago, and Jonathan was out taking a weekend shift at work, something that you had to be shush-shush about to your mother Joyce. The woman who was always busy working.
Shivering as you had no choice but to step out onto the tiles, reaching down to twist the knob and turn off the shower, and drape a towel under your shoulders, your wet feet and hair trailing along the carpet as you quickly stomped to your bedroom.
Yanking on a shirt that was a bit too big, no doubt the one that you had stolen from Jonathan's closet, paired with cotton shorts that almost draped over your knees.
Another one of your brother's hand-me-downs that you found comfort in. Changing into the clothes in record time, as the knocking seemed to only get louder and more impatient.
Whoever was behind the door had a heavy arm and knew that at least someone was home, probably from your parked car in the driveway.
While lazily twisting your hair up into a ponytail to keep it from trailing water against your neck. You used another shirt to twist your hair into as you rushed towards the door, using your free hand to turn the knob and yank open the door, interpreting another harsh knock.
"Uncle Hop?" As you squint your eyes, enough to make out the lean, muscular man that stood stiffly in uniform in your doorway. Your hand masked your eyes from the sunlight as you gave the familiar face a gentle smile in greeting despite the gruff resting scowl that you had grown accustomed to on Hopper's face, you gave the familiar older man a gentle smile in greeting.
Hopper begins to look around the house before peering down at you, expecting your mother to be there instead of her only daughter. His gaze was dark, a cigarette hanging from the corner of his mouth.
"Where’s your mom?" Your eyes squint as you lean against the edge of the door, one of your legs hooking over the other, shrugging your shoulders in response.
He looked intimidating with the shade of his hat covering the dark of his hair, his stare never seeming to soften paired with his rough, rumbling deep voice.
You knew Hopper as your mother’s high school boyfriend, much to her dismay, of course.
Ever since the whole upside, your little brother getting lost in the upside-down and you having to team up with a ragtag group of kids, it had seemed like Hopper had more of an importance in your life. Of course, from saving your family's lives, you all welcomed him with open arms.
He had a foot and some inches on you, not that you cared much. Most of Will’s lame friends were already inching up to your height despite almost being the legal age to drink. You just felt silly standing close to the grown 42-year-old man as you were a 20-year-old woman having to look up to talk to him.
His eyes roll in annoyance, and he grunts something under his breath, taking a drag from his cigarette before pulling it away from his lips and stomping it out with the heel of his boot.
"You shouldn’t be home by yourself, so don’t just open the door without checking who’s there first," Hopper grumbled, and there it was, the constant fatherly bickering, the type that would often come from his mouth where you could only stand stock still with your lips flattened and nodding your head to every sentence just to get out of the sudden lecture.
You swore that Hopper would always be the one to scowl at you for something, even more than your own mother did.
"It's fine, dude—" You wave your hand in the air. He doesn't look angry, just discontent as his eyes narrow down on your face.
You didn't want to attempt the slight shiver that rolled down your spine, guilty of the small crush you had on your mom's kinda-sort-of-boyfriend.
Ready to defend yourself from one of Hopper’s rambling strings of paranoia, you nor anyone else gave him much slack for it since everything that had gone down. If anything, they were more comfortable with the police officer always worrying about something than not caring at all.
Not caring just wasn't in Hopper’s nature.
"Dude," he mocked in a pitched tone, "it's not, and I need you to watch Jane tonight again. I gotta go do something out of town." You weren't shocked at the request. Being the oldest sibling from Will’s group of friends, you were also the most stably trustworthy.
The first time that you agreed to babysit Jane, your mother begged you the same day after her boss stuck her on the closing shift. The same day, she had arranged with Hopper to bring Jane over for the night while he had to drive to the next town to collect files for the police department.
It wasn't much of a big deal to you, and it seemed like you were the only one that thought so, as Hopper made the drive to the cabin the most nerve-wracking 30-minute drive you've ever been on.
You were so overwhelmed by the number of rules and routines he had for his preteen daughter that you were almost concerned about how much he would hover over her because of her supernatural powers.
You played it cool, letting the girl do whatever she wanted in a controlled manner, which was mostly talking about Mike and asking you for romance advice until she fell asleep in your lap with your nails combing through her hair. It was the easiest 30 bucks you had earned in your life.
On those days when Hopper would need you to stay longer, he would drop you off at the cabin at night and you would spend the time trying to occupy yourself with the old TV and trying not to notice too much the fact that you were in a cabin in the middle of the woods, finding a routine that worked more peacefully for you both.
Waiting for the morning, you would wake Jane up with a plate of waffles sitting on her bed, as you two would eat together and watch whatever was on TV and chat, using the rest of the day to maybe tidy up the beer cans Hopper would leave or try to clean out the harsh stench of cigarettes and old wood.
You hated doing chores at home, but at Hopper’s, you didn't really have anything else to do but clean until his truck came from down the road ready to take you back home.
That morning, all you did was grab a pair of sneakers from your room and an extra blanket from the living room sofa to wrap yourself in since the cabin had poor heating. You hopped into the passenger side of Hopper’s truck, being used to sitting in the police car.
The moment you had made it to the cabin, you greeted Jane and called into Joyce’s work, letting her know that you wouldn't be home tonight.
Once you had given the whole run down, you hung up the phone with an I love you and devoted all of your attention to the short-haired girl that sat with her arms crossed on the couch. Jane was just blankly staring at you, probably a little taken back by your bold fashion choice. You tilted your head at the young girl.
"You have…boobs." Jane finally spoke, her eyes squinting hard at the curved outline of your braless breast from the oversized shirt you had worn.
You glance down, pitching the shirt out, just realizing that you had forgotten to put on a bra in your rush to put on clothes. Wearing what you would normally wear as pajamas in the comfort of your own home, the main problem being that you weren't in the comfort of your home.
"Uh, yeah, guess I do. Thanks for reminding me." Nodding at the awkward comment, Jane seemed to glance at her own chest before crossing her arms tighter in thought.
"Alright, how about we do something interesting today instead of sitting around." The suggestion made Jane's face light up in excitement.
"Can we play hide and seek outside?" You already knew the answer to the question by knowing that Hopper even knew that you stepped foot outside. He would have a fit and probably find ways to ground you both.
"As much as I would love to, Hopper would kill us both. How about…we watch a movie?" You asked, glancing at the orange and pink sunset from the cabin's window.
Jane was quick to agree only on the terms that she would have the first pick on the movie and that you would let her eat just a few pieces of candy.
You had grown to adapt to the rustic environment of the cabin, being smart enough to gift hand-me-downs to Jane from your own childhood, from clothes to movie tapes, making it a routine to only watch rom-coms together.
It was a sweet moment that you had shared all the way until you both fell asleep, cuddled into each other's arms on the big armchair that was usually occupied by a man bigger than the two of you put together.
It was much later that Hopper's heavy footsteps could be heard from outside the cabin, the front door creaking open as he exhaled in the comforts of his home.
Shedding his coat and kicking off his boots, draping his coat over the top of the couch, still not noticing the two sleeping girls in his armchair as he turned to yank the window curtains closed.
"Hey brats, I'm back." His voice only causes you to stir in your sleep, not wake up. You had brought from home a blanket to snuggle your chin into.
Hopper’s attention finally snapped to the two of you slumbering in his chair. His mind only took seconds to progress the situation as he bit his lip to keep from making any more noise, humming in a pleasant acknowledgment to the calm silence that had filled the cabin.
"My bad." he apologized to no one in particular, shuffling to the small kitchen, impressed with the cleaned dishes that sat beside the sink. As he directed his stall stature towards the fridge using his foot to open the door and squatting down to pull out a well-deserved canned beer.
Popping the top open and taking a long swig, a relaxed sigh parted from his lips the moment he had swallowed the cold liquid.
Hooper took notice of the thin blanket you two were wrapped up in, dad mode kicking in as he was afraid that you two might catch a cold in the cold living room.
Carefully untangling Jane from your lap and into his arms, walking the girl to her own bedroom and tucking her under the thick blankets, careful not to disturb her too much from her sleep. His next target was you.
Finding you had only curled up into your blanket from the loss of heat, Hopper had debated whether to wake you up and drive you back home to sleep in your comfortable bed.
His final decision was to just move you to the pullout couch and layer you in blankets in hopes that you didn't get sick, but mostly because he knew there was enough space for the both of you to sleep on the huge pullout couch.
After pulling out all the cushions and setting up the pullout couch, Hopper turns to you, grabbing the bend of your knee and hooking his muscular arm under your shoulders.
He heaves you up into his arms, almost as if you had not weighed anything, gently setting you down onto the sheets of the bed.
As he went to grab extra blankets from the storage cabinet, you shifted in your sleep, nuzzling your face into the surface of the mattress turning to lay on your stomach as your shirt had hiked up unknowingly, exposing a peek of your skin from your back. returning with a clutch full of blankets and pillows,
Hopper's eyes can’t help but peek at the dimples peeking from the lowered waistband of your shorts, a deep exhale coming from his nose. As he clenched his eyes shut hard, mentally scowling at himself for even looking at you that way.
You were 20 years younger than him, let alone the daughter of the woman he had confusing feelings for. Hopper's head was a mess. His hand reached to pinch the bridge of his nose to clear his mind from the lewd thoughts. He settled a blanket around you.
He put a pillow by the side of your head before making himself comfortable on the opposite side of the mattress. Making sure the distance between the two of you was marked by a pillow as he wrapped himself in his own blanket, listening to the sound of your soft breathing to help him fall asleep.
Hopper was jerked awake a few hours later. The moon was still out as the only thing that had lit the cabin was the hum of static coming from the TV.
Hopper, groaning half asleep, had only taken a few minutes to notice that you had moved from your original position across the mattress closer to him in your sleep. You had passed the pillow barrier he had placed between you two and cuddled into his side.
You even got tucked under the same blanket as him, his mind too tired to fully comprehend that it was you he had cuddled in his arms. Hopper draped his arms around you, pulling you in closer to his broad chest, his eyes fluttering closed once more as he nuzzled his face into the nape of your neck.
That exchange was innocently cute until it wasn't.
Your backside was pushing up against his groin area, wanting to hug on as much heat as you possibly could in your sleep. Hopper quickly reacted, despite his mind not being active.
His hips rolled against the back of your thigh from the sudden friction; his hold tightened around you as he pulled you even closer, tucking you into his arms.
It was a tiring exchange of Hopper rutting his jeaned cock into the curve of your plump ass, your gym shorts riding up little by little, his breath picking up just as you had your eyes opened. You didn't know what to think.
You were suddenly awake, wrapped in a man's arms, feeling the jean material of his erection grind harshly against your skin. It was more than just confusion.
"Hop?" You mumble tiredly, struggling around his grasp to turn on your side. You sit up the moment he halts to continue grinding into your thigh. "Hop." You whisper once more, shaking his shoulder and tucking your thighs against your chest.
You can feel your heart beating against your chest. Your face flushed at the heated feeling between your legs, your thoughts not having enough time to head south as Hopper flinched awake.
"Shit Y/N, I’m so sorry I don't know what—" He had already retreated away before he could fully awake. You stopped Hopper from scooting away, your fingers pressing into the flesh of his bicep muscle.
"No please, please stay. It’s okay." Your voice fell into an alluring whisper, your feet already freezing from exiting the cold of the blanket.
Hopper’s eyes were blank as they glanced, almost like his entire body had to freeze just to piece together what you were implying. His head was shaking as you took action, tucking yourself back into the blanket and reaching to crawl back into his arms.
"No, we can’t, we can’t." He was raking his mind for any morally sane excuse to not fuck you right now, just as he was about to try to convince you that the feeling of your hand rubbing against his dick made him forget what he was about to say.
His mouth gaped open as he groaned at the unexpected contact, your mouth latching onto his lips to muffle the deep groan that had erupted from his throat.
"Jane’s sleeping, you gotta be quiet." is the one thing to ground him. Hopper leans into the kiss, almost like your lips were laced with sweet poison, you tasted so sweet.
Your mouth tasted like the candy you had eaten earlier, as his tongue slipped into your mouth. Hopper wanted to taste more as he took control, moving to lie on top of you with his elbows supporting him from putting too much weight on you as you unzipped his jeans and slipped out of your shorts.
Parting away from the kiss with a low gasp, leaning back to pull off his jeans, it gave Hopper enough time to glance at Jane’s bedroom door and then back at you, almost losing his breath from the sight.
Your limbs are all spread out just for him. Your shirt hiked up past your belly button, showing off the dark purple underwear.
Your hair was spread on top of the pillow, and your eyes were dark with neediness. He would see the traces of your nipples budding against the cloth material of the shirt.
From the way his heart was hammering against his chest, he felt like you were going to be the death of him, wetting his lips as he leaned down to capture your lips once more.
His cold fingers trailed cautiously from your stomach before fondling your breasts. Luring a moan from your throat, feeling his cold, rough fingers tease the peek of your nipples from beneath your shirt.
"We shouldn't do this." His knee threaded between your thighs, his entire chest swallowing your small figure compared to his.
"Don't stop, please." Your voice was soft, hinting toward still being a little tired in the back of your mind. Hopper was amazed by how desperate you were just for him.
It was like you were trying to give the poor guy a heart attack when you yanked your shirt over your head, exposing your naked breast to him.
Hopper couldn't quite understand if he was just having some sort of weird dream, but whatever was happening, he knew he was going to make the most of it, not caring what would unfold next as his cock had grown almost painfully hard, straining against his briefs.
He had to have you. Moving to lie on his side, he placed her arm over the hook of your knee, setting it over his thigh to spread your legs.
You parted your thighs as far apart as they could, your hips shamelessly bucking against nothing, the sensation of his hand brushing down your belly and over the damp cotton that had covered your clit, his finger bending to hook the material and move it aside.
His mushroom tip brushed along your entrance, wetting himself in a thin wet layer of your arousal.
The moment he had adjusted himself to push just the head of his cock inside, coaxing a drawn-out moan from the bottom of your throat.
"Oh god, you feel so fucking good," Hopper grunted from the nape of your neck, his body shivering as you were already clenching around just the tip of his length, not used to his wide girth.
Hopper reached his hand from behind, his big hands covering the entire bottom half of your face, muffling your whimpers as he slowly pushed his entire length inside of you.
"You look so perfect like this." He praised you. Hopper tried to be as patient as he could as his hand fisted around the pillow under your head, feeling your squirm as you tried to get used to his dick bullying the inside of you.
The thrust was unbearable from both sides, the size of him feeling like you were about to split into two and the feeling of your small cunt choking to take his entire cock inside of you.
His pace started slow, listening to your breath pick up with every thrust. Every time he would fill you up with the new sensation of being completely full, making you feel so light-headed your eyes roll to the back of your head as Hopper trails wet kisses down the curve of your shoulder.
"My dick isn’t that big, pretty girl. I know you can take it." The feeling of his breath fanning against the back of your neck, his hand moving down from your face to wrap firmly around your neck, you were careful with your volume. The fear of waking the child in the other room was still in the back of your mind despite being fucked stupid.
"Lay on your stomach." Before you could even fully process the request, Hopper was already using the palm of his hand to push your shoulder fully into the mattress, his hands grabbing onto the curve of your hips, arching your ass into the air while using his hairy thighs to spread yours apart.
"Atta fucking girl." Hopper cursed, as his pace picked up, his hips snapping into you with more force. Your voice was tired and broken from mindless rambling and begging.
"Saying so much and so little at the same time, you're so adorable." Hopper teased The second your hips flexed from your first orgasm, whimpering his name under your breath as he continued to fuck you through it, his pace not stuttering as he fucked you with no signs of mercy.
The sounds of the old mattress springs gave in under every thrust, along with the occasional grunt that would slip past your lips.
Your teeth bit into your pillow to keep yourself silent as his cock plunged deep inside of you with every thrust, your warm insides urging him deeper with every twitch and clench.
Your eyes prickled with tears at the overwhelming need building in the pit of your stomach. "That's it. Take it just like that." and that you did. His hands fit perfectly around the lower part of your torso, guiding your hips.
You loved the feeling of his cock twitching inside of you, how his hairy chest felt resting against the smooth skin of your back as he coaxed another orgasm from your tired, sweaty body.
You twitched under him as he became irritated by your fidgeting, pinning your hands behind your back and angling your ass in the air, the clear sound of his balls slapping against your skin echoing along with the bed springs you were being fucked against.
"You like it when I ruin you like this?" You could feel his hand squeezing around your breast, the other rubbing rough circles into your clit with the jagged skin of his thumb.
"Oh god, yes, yes." You horsley cooed.
Hopper couldn't recall the last time he felt anything so hot and tight around his dick. His mind was in a trance, watching as your ass rippled like jelly against the snap of his hips with each thrust. He hadn't seen anyone bend so attractively in this position in a long time.
It took one hook under the bend of your knee to turn you over to lie on your back, used to your limbs being so easily controlled by him, as Hopper was quick to bury himself back inside of you.
Your hips twitched up at him as he grabbed your thighs and hugged them both to his chest, lifting your ankles over his shoulders as he leaned down, using his forearms to not crush you with all of your weight. Your body wasn’t flexible, but it was definitely adaptable.
The feeling of his breath fanning against your face threw you over the edge, losing count of how many times you had come undone, your body having a mind of its own that Hopper had control over.
Hopper rolled his hips against yours, his chest reaching deeper than ever, much out of your control. Your mouth, having a mind of its own, was not able to help the string of broken mumbling nonsense that moaned from your lips.
Hopper just couldn't help but be turned on by the sight of ruining you.
He knew it was wrong, but he just couldn't bother to restrain himself any longer, surging down and capturing your lips with his mouth, your pathetic whines muffled down his throat.
Moreover, your weak whines filled the small room along with the wet sound of Hopper pistoning inside of you.
An abrupt sound, making your heart shake a beat, too tired to move any faster than Hopper did. The man covers your body with a blanket before wrapping himself in another and settling in next to you.
Next was the slow creak of Jane’s bedroom door, the short-haired girl peeking from it tiredly, her hand rubbing the sleep from her eyes as she glanced around the room half asleep.
"Hey kiddo, are you okay?" Hopper asked, trying to mask his breathless tone as well as using a pillow to cover up his still hard erection. Jane only peered at the man before taking a glance at you.
Unbeknownst to the man that sat next to you, Jane could see that you were asleep with just the top of your head poking from the blanket.
"I thought I heard something. Wanted to check on Y/N." she mumbled, still holding onto the doorknob. Hopper finally took notice of your sleeping state, an exhale of disappointment passing through his nose before giving a small smile at Jane.
"She's fine, kid. Why didn't you go back to bed?" Jane was too tired to object. The young girl followed the order. She shut her door and crawled back into the comfort of her bed as Hopper tried to make himself comfortable lying on his back.
★  .  .  .    !
The next morning, you awake to the smell of food, your eyes sluggishly opening, finding yourself not alone on the mattress, Jane sitting at your feet with her attention glued to the show that played on the TV.
The aching fatigue in your back confirming that the events of the previous night had occurred, your hands pulling the blanket from your chest to check that you were indeed clothed and not naked beneath the blankets.
As you sit up against the couch, you stretch your arms above your head, hearing the sizzling sound of Hopper cooking in the kitchen, Jane only giving you a side glance before her attention has been divided to the plate of food that sits in front of her.
You didn't blame her for not being much of a morning person yourself.
You crawled off of the mattress, your feet dragging to the kitchen, finally seeing the man of the hour.
Hopper was scraping whatever remained on the pan onto a plate, his head turning to glance at you. He paused, almost as if he hadn't expected to see you awake yet.
"I thought you had died for a second." He spoke, his eyes trailing down your body before catching himself and returning back to his plate of eggs.
"I made breakfast, or at least attempted to, but I can't say that I'm much of a cook.'' You took the plate without much complaint, settling down at the small dining table and stuffing your mouth, suddenly aware of how hungry you were.
Hopper watched as you were too quick to clean the plate, your eyes closing with content with your hunger subsiding.
"Thank you." You finally spoke, Hopper, not being able to contain his prideful smirk, his hand resting on his hip as he leant against the counter.
"Your voice, it's weird." Jane butts in, both yours and Hopper’s attention turning to the girl staring at you with her brows furrowed.
"It's a bit weird, I guess, but it normally happens when you…talk…a lot." Jane stared at you until she could process the answer, nodding her head and turning her attention back to the TV, uninterested in whatever else you had to say as soon as she got the information that held importance to her.
★  .  .  .    !
Hopper knew he shouldn't have slept with you, the feeling of regret only growing stronger more and more seeing Joyce be all friendly with him no matter how much he actively tried to bombard himself with piles of paperwork or swamp himself with work while he was closer to the cabin so that he didn't have to make that nerve-wracking phone call, practically trying to avoid you and your mother as long as he possibly could.
He tried and failed miserably the minute he heard a knock on the front door, his back aching as he leaned against the kitchen chair.
Just realizing he had somehow fallen asleep while organizing papers into files, a yawn leaving his covered mouth as he swung open his front door to you, but dressed the way that you were.
He had managed to stay away from you for almost two months, that streak breaking as you peered up at him with frowned brows, but what Hopper hated most was your work uniform.
You had taken a job to help your mother keep some food on the table and the lights on to power the AC unit in your home, your full-time job at Babbage’s.
At first, you thought being employed at the gaming store was one of the best ideas you had gotten in a while, being able to discount some of the half-priced gifts you bought for your brothers as well as yourself.
The downside was the majority of male-dominated coworkers you had and the tight cheap Link cosplay they squeezed you into.
Hoping some horny pimpled-faced teenage boy would fall into the trap of your exposed cleavage and get tricked into buying something from the store just to hold some fumbling and stuttering one-sided conversation with you.
You wore navy brown tight leggings that seemed to hug all of your curves and dips, and a forest green tunic that was cut to expose just the right amount of cleavage to show off your breasts.
You never really wore the long sewed hat during the hours you were off, not like walking about in a lewd version of some game character wasn't embarrassing enough.
But something about you standing on his front porch shivering your ass off in a thin tight shirt and tights that showed off everything was like something out of a geek's wet dream.
Even though he didn't really recognize the gaming character and wasn't much into video games himself, there was just something about the sight of your underwear traced under the material that made him feel so annoyingly horny.
What irritated him even more was the look that you gave him, your wide-eyed reaction to the door swinging open quickly flattening as you glared up at the older man. "You know, you have some nerve." Despite you being so angry at him, it was just not possible to take you seriously looking that pretty.
He just feels like such a pervert.
Jane's absence on one of the many rare occasions when he allowed her to hang out with Mike seemed to fuel the most lewd thoughts as you stood there berating him for ghosting you just after he had fucked you stupid.
The wooden planks from the porch steps creaked as they gave way to the weight of you two standing on the step the moment he took a step forward.
Your sentence was instantly cut short as he peered down at you, towering over your figure with that stupidly smitten look that made it obvious that he wanted nothing more but to pick you up and fuck you into the mattress like he had done nights before, his intense stare threatening to make your legs give up right where you had stood.
And he picks you up, only getting a short distance away as your thighs clamp around his hips, his arm resting under your ass to support your weight as his other hand slams the front door shut, too caught up in the sensation of his tongue down your throat to cringe at the door hinges rattling on impact.
Your leggings and panties were yanked off, both of which were quickly ignored as your bare behind rested on the top of the dining table. Your hand fisted against your mouth, trying to settle the embarrassing little noises of pleasure that slipped from your throat, and your eyes were squeezed shut so tightly that you could see stars when he pushed his length inside of you.
It was a moment of bliss, the pause of each other's labored breath, the way you both gasped as his length squeezed full inside of you like he had belonged there, and then you started falling apart the moment his hips tugged back.
The force of his thrusts left you grasping at the table cloth from the force of him pushing back inside of you, as if he were pounding into you like another careless fuck doll, the force of his thrusts making dishes and utensils clatter to the ground as the table shook against your entire weight.
You were already turning into a hot mess. You didn't even have time to process him hammering into you and how hot his large hand felt holstering your thighs apart to get the view of you all spread out for him.
Though his moans are subtle, he’s still loud enough for you to hear his deep grunts, swearing under his breath about how perfect you looked, your body trembling as he pounds into you, the sound of skin on skin making contact echoing through the small cabin.
"You don't understand how badly I miss this feeling," Hopper rasped, his figure framing your entire body.
The rumble of his voice vibrated against you as he repositioned your thighs farther apart, spreading your legs just enough to hunch over, resting on his elbows as the table crooked, encasing you entirely with a new sense of warmth as your breast pressed against his chest.
Your nerves flinched and wiggled under him, a pathetic whimper pulling from your vocal cords as his hips repositioned to fit even deeper than you thought was possible inside of you.
Both so desperate for each other as he angled his hips to grind into each spot that he might have missed, your shared moans turned into hums as your mouths latched onto each other, desperate to feel even more.
Your orgasm had hit you like a punch in the stomach, gasping like all the air had escaped from your lungs as Hopper’s pace only seemed to pick up as you turned into a blubbering mess under him from the stimulation.
Your back was arching from the surface of the table and your mouth hung open gasping for air. The sight almost made him light-headed seeing that fucked-out expression on your face.
He just couldn't hold up as much as he thought he could, quickly following after his orgasm gave in in full swing.
The feeling of his breathing coming rapid as his torso pressed against yours, his fingers trembling as he stood up his hand fisting into the bottom of your tunic.
not letting you have any pity as his hips snap roughly against yours, chasing after that tumbling feeling, the sound of the edge of the table slamming against the cabin wall, all thoughts of treating you gently are thrown out the window.
“Fuck! Joyce!” he cried out as he spilled thick strands inside of you.
Your mind was too foggy to process anything covered in the blanket of pleasure that you had just experienced, let alone even coherent thoughts.
A blissful silence settled between you two, lingering inside of you for a few moments before the clarity struck you both.
And exactly at the same time, you and Hopper spoke.
“Did you just say my mom's name?”
“I’m not wearing a condom.”

Castle Swimmer is so freaking good and here's why:
Has multiple forms of representation that isn't used for plot drama and includes various of groups.
Sick ass character designs that range from multiple species and gives the characters unique designs.
ISN'T SEXUALIZED!! One of the few comics with a gay couple that actually had time to develop and doesn't include sexual scenes because being gay doesn't mean you have a crave for spicy stuff.
A REALLY good plot that has many twists and turns that keeps you on your toes and wanting to see what happens next.
WELL DONE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT 👏👏.
The author/artist uses their platform to spread awareness for endangered species and how to help so an awesome author/artist for an awesome story.
The art style is just perfection and makes for an easy read and you don't have to decipher a code to tell what the character is feeling.
Pretty awesome community with majority of them being respectful towards the author/artist and their creations.
So this some of the few but also major reasons why Castle Swimmer is one of the best comics that I have ever read and think that's out there.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you on your last ask.
"SJM did say she's excited to write Az's journey. But she's tricky with her words and just because she said "when you get to the end of SF I think you'll know who the next book is about and Az's journey is one I'm very excited to write about."
Because SJM is tricky with words, she could be telling us that Elain's book is next, she'll end up with Lucien and during their book she will continue laying crumbs for Az's journey as she's excited to begin the groundwork for his eventual book."
please... she is not THAT tricky. She also said multiple times Hunt and Bryce are mates, and that she wanted to change up her usual formula by making the first LI in CC to be the endgame, still many doubted her words and guess what? Hunt and Bryce are endgame, just as she said. Was she also tricky when she talked about Elucien being mates? Or is she not tricky with her words when it supports your narrative?...
And to be exact, this was the question from the interview you quoted:
"Will Azriel get his own book in the future?" to which Sarah answered: "I can't say anything officially right now... but when you get to the end of ACOSF I think you'll know who the next book is about... Azriel's journey is one I'm very excited to write about..." - mind you, the question wasn't about who's book is next, just if Azriel will get a book, ever. And her answer was this. She brought up the next book. How do you even interpret an answer like this as, "Elain's book is next"? Sorry, but it's not tricky at all, it's basic comprehension to assume Azriel's book is next based on her answer to the question. Also, even though the bonus takes place during solstice, bonus chapters are placed physically at the end of the book, no?? So...
Let's face it, Lucien and Elain had no major impact on the plot of acosf (they were barely present in the book actually), but Az was included heavily in the valkyrie training (along with a certain other redhead), and then now he's in CC3 too (in which Elucien were absent yet again). He's featured in two bonus chapters, one is from his own POV. Clearly, there is a lot of focus put on him right now, intentionally. From a marketing point of view, after all of this, another couple's book being next who are simply absent from the last two books makes no sense at all.
You really started to twisting everything to fit your own narrative, just as E/riels. :/
You're really quite aggressive over my thinking Elain is getting the next book.
Regardless of what your interpretation of that particular interview is, I've also got plenty of others that strongly suggest Elain was getting the book after Nesta.
"I've always wanted to write books about her sisters".
"I know who the first two spin-offs are about but I'm leaving the third open".
At one point the third was even possibly going to be a book set in the past and in a special edition of ACOFAS, she wrote about the research she had done for Elain's book. Not Az's.
"My initial plan for the spin-offs didn't change but the world expanded".
And you're silly to think that "from a marketing perspective Elain's absence in the crossover means she can't get the next book."
Was Chaol not absent in the book before TOD?
You're clearly only on the side of your narrative when you say Elain was absent in SF.
Did she and Nesta not have two big arguments?
Did Elain not volunteer to search for the Trove?
Did Feyre and Rhys not have a conversation about her getting her hands dirty in Feyre's bonus? How maybe she's only acted a certain way for fear of disappointing them?
Did Feyre not mention how she's got Az beat for secret keeping?
Did Amren not tell them not to underestimate her?
Did Nesta not take her wooden carving back to the HOW with her, staring at it after placing it near a figure of a Goddess, then end the series by placing it on her father's grave?
Nesta's arc could not have happened if Elain was by her side because Nesta needed to learn who she was outside of being Elain's protector but that doesn't mean Elain did not regularly come into her thoughts, with SJM using those moments to build her story (like Spring being made for her). That does not mean SJM didn't find ways of telling us exactly where her character is going and the fact that she's now ready for more or that she doesn't belong in the NC.
You are free to feel Az is next, I even admit I could be wrong about Elucien though I still feel strongly that they're a contender for the next book. But you claiming he's next as fact makes you no different than e/riels who claim their ship as fact.
And bonus chapters are placed at the end of the book because they don't want to interrupt the flow of the main characters pov..??
What is your point? It doesn't change where it falls on the timeline and the events that came after.
I'd be curious to know what major impact on the plot you feel Az had in SF outside of training the Valkyries because Cassian said Nesta wouldn't be ready for battle training for years. An ACOTAR book. Not a book from a different series that not every ACOTAR reader will read. Lucien was set up for more than Az what with him being stationed in Spring, commanding Cassian with a single word, the fact that his father now wants to ally with Koschei, that he was "setting his sights" across the continent.
Az...... sulked about not getting a bond? Played sidekick to Cassian? Yes he's training the Valkyries and will continue to do so but the main issues in the ACOTAR world at the end of SF were Koschei - Vassa's captor (Vassa, Lucien's roommate and the one Elain had visions of) , Beron - Lucien's "father", Spring - a Lucien plot and the treaty (I don't see Az treating for peace, do you?) and Elucien is more strongly connected to those things than Az. And yes, SJM admitted that Bryce and Hunt were mates because she wasn't keeping it a secret? And she openly spoke of Elucien as mates back before she signed on for the spin-offs and therefore was allowed to talk about the future of the characters? Those are not the same things as the announcment of the next book as the next book is supposed to be a surprise, otherwise it would have already been announced. She wouldn't have said, "and that's all I'm saying about that."

Whilst I'm at it, if the cast decided to write fanfiction, would they write, what tropes would they be fond of and who would be writing the filthiest and freakiest of smut you can think of.
Ok so assuming everyone had to write one and they couldn't say no this is what I came up with
Tumblr media
Takemichi- superhero fic, very cliche, follows pretty much every trope. It's dedicated to Hina too (she loved reading it). It's probably got something to do with a 4 leaf clover in the name.
Mikey- Writes fic about Taiyaki kun being the hero, probably a long adventure type story, taiyaki kun rides a motorbike at one point, it's a wild read.
Draken- He'd likely be very big on the found family trope, you just know his fic would be about some rag tag group coming together and bonding to the point of becoming family (the villian is probably based on Hanma).
Hina- oh definitely romance, the hero saves the girl, the girl saves the hero. She just writes the perfect couple and then overcoming any obstacles together in their way.
Emma- Romance #2, she writes the cutest fluff you can think of.
Naoto- Probably a horror mystery with plenty of occult themes and references. He looks key really enjoys writing it so it's probably a long multiple chapter fic, with a bunch of people following it.
Kisaki- Story about the hero however with a major plot twist towards the end showing the hero was actually the bad guy. It's actually very well done and clever despite how cliche it may sound.
Hanma- ok I see two possible ones here, either he takes it seriously and writes one of the most interesting fics ever (hey he knows whats exciting and what makes a good story) or he absolutely does not take this seriously and writes the smuttiest smut to have ever smutted and attempts to annoy the others with it.
Kazutora- i think he might do something a bit different and write it in letter format, as in character's sending letter's to each other. Letter's probably mean a lot to him and he's likely the most comfortable writing in that format so he uses it in his fics.
Baji- Cat story!!!!! There's definitely some kind of big cat fight scene (baji can't resist) but ultimately it's a happy story. He probably also makes a few spelling errors but it's ok since Chifuyu helps him correct anything.
Chifuyu- Was tempted by Baji's cat story but settles on a person romance instead. It is full of manga references and the girl eventually kisses the guy after he gave her a polkadot based surprise. Probably a soul mate au.
Mitsuya- very detailed fic, like expect everything to have every last detail described (especially people's clothes).
Hakkai- space story! Probably a self insert about him going to space and being a hero (when he comes back mitsuya is incredibly proud of him).
Pah & Peh- They do everything together including fic writing. Definitely a story about two friends (them two), is a happy story about these two friends vs the world.
Smiley- fights, fights and more fights, everyone just wants to beef each other here.
Angry- I think he would write am interactive type fic, like the type where people comment and choose what they want to happen next, I just think he'd enjoy the interactions with people.
Mucho- coffee shop/ bakery au! Actually probably writes about his friends working there, izana is the manager, kakucho the assistant manager, sanzu is a loyal customer, mucho himself prepares the cakes, the Haitani brother's face the customers, mochi handles the drive thru and shion is the dishwasher who keeps breaking things.
Sanzu- definitely a royalty au about a king and his loyal soldier.
Inui- probably heavily use the miscommunication causes the main issue trope, he's seen it irl and knows it really can cause a bunch of problems.
Koko- probably a fix it fic, writes about a fire but this time no one dies, the girl gets saved and ends up happily living with her rescuer. This is probably actually something he uses to work through his regrets.
Yuzuha- a cute fic about a sister protecting her brother, she probably beats all the bad guys easily (and the brother's phone lockscreen is of the sister)
Izana & Kakucho- they work together to make another royalty au but this one focusing on the king and his kingdom, the story of this king creating his new world.
Ran- oh definitely a very obvious self insert story. The main character? Flawless hair, everyone loves him, has a little brother who adores him, dresses famously, treated like a celebrity. The guys name is probably like nar or something. Just basically his perfect life, tries to make it very poetic too.
Rindou- probably actually a song fic, the type with lyrics to match the mood. He just expresses himself a lot through music so brings it into his writing too.
Shion- another one with a self insert fic, this one really does go over the top though. Writes himself to practically conquer the world, winning every fight he gets into.
Senju- Probably a fun adventure fic, I think she would also be pretty big on it being a family adventure/ a found family adventure.
Wakasa- ok idk exactly why but he gives me those text fic vibes, where two characters are texting each other. I feel like he'd actually kinda unexpectedly enjoying making it too.
Benkei- Another fic very high on the action, a lot of fights, the characters are likely based on the 1st gen Black dragons.
Shinichiro- Say's he's going to write smut but then gets too embarrassed and ends up with fluff instead.
South- ok I think he'd also write a kinda lyric fic but instead of lyrics he'd just straight up put musical notes down. He's just so passionate about it and doesn't really care if others don't understand what those mean (he'd passionately explain it to anyone who asked though)

Writing Tips: Write like Brandon Sanderson
Brandon Sanderson is a prolific American fantasy author with multiple bestsellers, including series like "Mistborn" and "Stormlight Archive." He is known for his high pace of releasing books, impressive worldbuilding, attention to magic systems, and epic endings known as the “Sanderlanche”.
Below are some writing tips attributable to Brandon Sanderson:
Plotting:
Start with an everyperson. Through them, ease the reader into the magic world.
Promise: Establish the tone, character arcs, goals for the rest of the story, opening brackets/subplots.
Progress: Must reflect on the promise and advance towards its fulfillment, or risk reader disengagement.
Payoff: Closing brackets, delivering more than expected, with twists.
Types of Plots:
Mystery: Build a mystery, reveal clues, and solve it.
Travelogue: Use a map to show progression and goals as characters travel through your story.
Relationship: Develop relationships from quarrelsome beginnings to adventurous journeys, ultimately fostering closeness.
Time bomb: Create tension by having a known goal with a looming deadline.
Heist: Characters strive to obtain goal by over coming obstacles through the “yes but” and “no and” methods.
Characters:
Prioritize character flaws and growth over superpowers.
Increase in likability, proactivity, competence as the story advances.
Sanderson's Laws of Magic:
First Law:
An author’s ability to solve conflict with magic is directly proportional to how well the reader understands said magic.
Clear rules and limitations for magic systems are crucial.
Second Law:
Limitations on characters' abilities are more interesting than the powers themselves.
Creative constraints are more compelling than a character being just powerful.
Third Law:
Expand what you already have before you add something new.
The more you can make your reader feel like they've learned and mastered, the better. If every time you add something new, you need to explain it, your story will feel like it's treading water.
Sanderlanche:
Sanderson is known for closing multiple plotlines simultaneously in a thrilling and satisfying conclusion.
These moments are usually revelations to mysteries, epic battles, and resolution of character arcs.
Overcoming Writer's Block:
Write a chapter to throw away.
Write a dialog between you and a character.
The Important Thing As a Professional Writer:
A professional writer writes consistently and habitually.
Majority of writers publish many books before having a hit book.
Sanderson wrote 13 books before he sold a book.
This is part of my Writing Tips series. Everyday I publish a writing tip to this blog.

More Soukoku Headcanons Because I Still Need Healing After Chapter 109 (The Anime Somehow Managed To Make It Worse???)
Fluff Edition
Dazai has a deep-seated hatred for Mickey Mouse. Is it his voice? His personality? Nobody but Dazai knows.
One time the duo were sent on an “important mission” that turned out to be babysitting Elise for a few hours. There wasn't much to do considering they were under clear instructions not to leave headquarters since they may or may not have lost Elise last time. So, they decided to put on a movie. Elise looked at Chuuya, then at Dazai, then back at Chuuya before telling Dazai to put on Brave. Chuuya lost count of how many times he had to say “yes, I’m sure I’m not Scottish” and “no, I don’t straighten my hair. It’s wavy, not curly” and “shut up, Dazai! I don’t look like Merida’s little brothers!”
Chuuya has tried multiple times to convince Dazai that a dog would be the perfect addition to Soukoku. It never worked.
One time Dazai got cold that was much more intense than it should’ve been since he didn’t rest properly in the earlier stages. He didn’t feel like doing anything including taking any medication. He just wanted to sleep and for Chuuya to stop waking him up to tell him to eat or take his medicine. Chuuya could not get Dazai to say anything to him rather than hum in agreement or huff in disagreement. Finally, Chuuya asked if Dazai wanted anything to which Dazai finally gave a verbal answer: bleach. Without saying another word Chuuya went into the kitchen, grabbed a disposable cup, and poured the proper amount of medicine into said cup. If Dazai wouldn’t take the medication on his own, Chuuya would just have to get creative. He took the cup to Dazai and when he received a raised eyebrow he responded with “you said you wanted bleach, so here.” Dazai later complained that the ‘bleach’ Chuuya gave him tasted suspiciously like bubblegum cough syrup.
They've both been banned from nearly every social media platform either by Mori, Kouyou, Fukuzawa, Kunikida, or the platform itself because of the cancellation threads they post of each other.
Chuuya refuses to watch anything with Dazai after they watched The Promised Neverland together. Dazai had watched enough clips prior to figure out the plot and some major plot twists, then told Chuuya about how he had found them something happy to watch. They binge-watched all of the first season in one night and Dazai got a kick out of watching Chuuya react. Chuuya denies to this day that he cried multiple times, but Dazai remembers. Dazai has video proof.
Dazai once convinced Chuuya that his room was haunted by a cat and that he had to leave crab dishes on the counter so he wouldn't wake up to everything having been moved to the top shelf again. When questioned on how a cat would be able to move all of his appliances to the top shelf, Dazai said it was important not to question the powers of a vengeful ghost. Chuuya discovered this was just another scheme to get more crab after he caught Dazai sneaking in on the third night to eat the crab dish.
Dazai covers Chuuya’s eyes when the ‘Help Dogs in Need’ commercials or adds come on. He has no choice. Last time Chuuya saw one of those commercials he was a wreck for days and Dazai had to hide his card to keep him from giving all of his money to the organization. Dazai also had to hide his own card incase Chuuya gave up looking for his.
If Dazai ever sees any of the old Sheep members, he glares at them. Doesn’t matter where he is, he will stop and glare. Doesn’t matter who he is with either, poor Atsushi was very confused when his mentor stopped mid-sentence to glare at someone who was just trying to cross the street (they ended up turning around). The only difference is if Chuuya is the one with him. He’ll glare like usual, but if Chuuya notices and attempts to look at what has caught his attention, Dazai will flick the back of Chuuya’s hat so it blocks his vision and say something like “Oh no, the wind is picking up! Better get to *insert wherever they’re going* quickly before Chuuya blows away because he’s so short!” And he’ll pull Chuuya along, twirling them both around because he has to show off that he still has Chuuya and the Sheep could never stand a chance. Chuuya doesn’t resist, but will always respond with something like “It’s not even windy! And what does my height have to do with anything?!” Yes, Dazai knows it’s petty, but that’s part of the fun. Besides, he’s been doing this ever since he was 15, why stop now?
I also want to add that while Dazai was in the Port Mafia, Akutagawa took note of all the people (aka sheep members) Dazai was glaring at and began to follow his example. Akutagawa has no clue why Dazai glares at them, but he does not question it. If Dazai glares, then so will Akutagawa.

Probably weird of me to focus on this, but...
The Worm fandom (especially the part still reading and writing fanfic a decade later) has an intimate understanding of the ins and outs of its power system. They know the difference between a Changer and a Breaker; they know all powers are designed for conflict; they know how trigger events work.
But most people within the setting don't know any of this. Power categories (and especially ratings) are technical jargon, only important to PRT officers and nerds; powers being intentionally conflict-oriented is a fringe theory, usually dismissed with a brief consideration of human ingenuity and violence; Taylor didn't even know trigger events existed when she joined the Undersiders, despite being months into her superhero prep and research. (And, you know, having a trigger event herself.)
We see behind the curtain, we have Word of God and conspirators' Interludes and Weaver Dice. We see everything about the power system, from Enity to PRT database, as a complete and pristine whole. That's not how anyone sees it in-universe—not even Cauldron, whose nigh-omniscience has built-in limitations against power gunk.
Everything before the trigger event is unfounded speculation. Trigger events are obscured by people who lie about them (whether to keep their identities secret, hide their Cauldron ties, or because it was a deeply personal trauma that they don't want to talk with random researchers about). The PRT rating system is a collection of multiple smaller organizations' systems cleaned up to a form convenient for Wildbow's purposes that worked well enough, before being frozen so that they didn't have to update their files every six months because someone decided to relitigate the Master/Stranger split again.
All of this is within the original text, no Word of God needed. Some of it is major plot points, some of it sets up chapter-ending-cliffhanger levels of awkwardness, some of it is casually mentioned when the rating system is introduced, but all of it is present. And fanfic writers are inconsistent about remembering any of it.
[insert grumbling about Worm fanfic authors that only read other fanfic]
Now, I haven't seen many fanfics where random people correctly guess half of the big Entity twist with just publicly-available information about powers, and there are some where PRT ratings and stuff are treated as geeky stuff only PRT officials and Victoria Dallon care about. But most seem to forget that most capes don't know much about, say, PRT rating systems, and that civilians know even less.
The big offender, unsurprisingly, is Taylor Hebert. On one hand, we can be 100% certain that she wasn't a cape nerd (unless your definition is loose enough to include owning an Alexandria t-shirt at age 9). On the other hand, fanfic authors often write her with an encyclopedic knowledge of PRT jargon, as though the author forgot people in Earth Bet could describe powers without them.
It's an incredibly petty pet peeve, I realize, but it bothers me, in the same way that some fanfics will have characters look at, like, the Holy Grail and decide it must be tinkertech. It feels like the author is just using jargon from the series without considering that jargon's place in the world or the characters using them. It feels hollow and thoughtless.

Would you recommend The Locked Tomb Triology or Rook and Roses more? I have both unstarted in my Audible Library.
OH BOY. I'm slightly drunk and you've basically just activated my trap card.
Okay, these are very, very different literary experiences. I highly recommend both, but for wildly different reasons. I have listened to the audio books for The Locked Tomb, but not for Mask of Mirrors/Rook & Rose, so I can't really compare them. TLT's audio book is very well done, but the narrator does mispronounce one character's name throughout the whole thing, and that drives me slightly crazy. (Nonagesimus: uses the church Latin pronunciation. EDIT: I SAID I WAS DRUNK. IT'S THE OTHER WAY AROUND. No-na-jess-i-mus. Not It's no-na-guess-i-mus.)
The Locked Tomb series is amazing, and extremely rewarding, but it's a difficult read. The prose is dense and full of obscure and sometimes baffling references. The first book is relatively accessible as a science fantasy murder mystery; the second book is actively hostile to you, the reader, and it wants you to suffer on multiple levels. You will suffer on multiple levels. You will need to reread it at least once to actually understand what's really happening. The third book is less hostile, but it's definitely not comfortable. The series is unfinished; book 4 is still being written. Rereading the books is extremely rewarding, because you will miss things the first time around.
If you've ever read Homestuck (at least through the Scratch), then I would recommend the series unreservedly. The author is kind of famously a former Big Name Fan there. It is thoroughly, pervasively queer, but it's not really romantic; you'll see it marketed as "lesbian necromancers in space" but it's fundamentally a story about love, grief, loss, and the violence of colonialism/imperialism. (I draw a lot of parallels between it and Sea of Stars/Saboverse because of those themes.) The books are more appropriately set in the Horror genre than straight sci-fi/fantasy.
(I love the worldbuilding and the treatment of necromancy/magic as a science. Delicious.)
Mask of Mirrors/Rook & Rose is just a hell of a lot of fun. It's basically set in a fantasy eastern European city that was violently colonized by fantasy Italy, and the worldbuilding is fantastic. It also deals with themes of colonialism/imperialism, and at its core is grappling with ideas of identity and diaspora.
That's the high level themes at work in Mask of Mirrors, but I tore through the whole trilogy in less than a week because the characters are delightful, the worldbuilding is extremely tasty, and it's really about a badass con artist doing badass things. There are a lot of queer characters (including a handful of explicitly trans characters, and some implicitly asexual and aromantic characters), but the main romance is het.
(Rook & Rose magic systems are half numerology/scientific principal and half tarot/intuition, and I honestly adore it.)
With the locked tomb, it's kind of a running joke in the fandom that you can get spoiled for all the major plot points and still not have any idea what the hell is going on. With Mask of Mirrors/Rook & Rose, I really, really don't want to spoil anyone because some of those plot twists were so satisfying to experience, and I would've been so upset if they'd been spoiled for me.
Rook & Rose is a completed series, and the third book does wrap everything up pretty neatly. Maybe too neatly, in some ways, but it's still delightful. The books are long, but relatively easy reads (with the caveat that my idea of an easy read is...probably slightly distorted. I read book one in a day and a half. It's 630 pages long).
So, if you're okay with cliffhangers and being emotionally devastated (but in mostly good ways), go for The Locked Tomb. TLT also has an enormous fandom. If you want something with a definitive conclusion, swashbuckling shenanigans, and only mild to moderate emotional pain, and a fandom of like 3 people, please read Rook & Rose.

Xenoblade X poll answers
Elma is a xeno, a BLADE, and a Xenoblade (Monado)
This is incorrect. Elma is a xeno and a BLADE, but she is not canonically related to the Monado. That said, I really would not be surprised if that was an intended plot twist considering that she shares the same color pallet as the damn thing. Furthermore, interesting how Elma somehow knew the earth would be blown up in a skirmish 30 years in advance. There’s other stuff I could say in evidence to this theory, but this isn’t a post about my crack Elma theories, so we’ll leave it at that.
Some other fun information around this idea. In an early trailer for X, BLADE was referred to as “Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator,” though in the final version the acronym is “Builders of a Legacy After the Destruction of Earth.” Elma also has concept art featuring a Core Crystal.
Tumblr media
This doesn’t support any theory because it’s concept art, but it’s an interesting piece of trivia.
there is an enemy type that reproduces by firing its sperm into orbit
it’s these guys. what a meme of an enemy. dudes just stand there and then turn into a palm tree abomination that one-shots you. I think the guy in Cauldros is the funnies of men. Like, imagine you’re just minding your business and then you get sniped from orbit by a palm tree of death.
Tumblr media
Every enemy type in the game has, like, a multi-paragraph essay, here’s what the Filiavent’s reads.
“The largest of all Miran mollusks, filiavents stay anchored to the ground, feeding on other creatures that come too close. To do so, they contract their lengthy bodies and then swallow their victims whole—along with everything else in the vicinity. All matter then enters the digestive tract, where it is liquefied by powerful acids.
Reproduction also takes place while anchored to the ground. On the night of a full moon, filiavents release a myriad of sperm and eggs into the atmosphere. While most are eaten by other creatures, one in a few thousand survives to be fertilized. Because infants have many predators due to their small size, few of them survive into adulthood—despite the presence of a defensive electrical discharge."
So, yeah, I’m not even exaggerating, these things do canonically reproduce by firing their sperm into orbit.
Samaarians were human, but not the humans you play as; they're functionally gods; this information was revealed during a random sidequest
I wanted to make this one a single option, but character limit. But yeah, Xenoblade X has a weird amount of major plot twists hidden behind random sidequests. This was just the largest one. The sidequest in question was a post-game quest called The Old Gods, where the God of the Zaruboggan is revealed to look like this.
Tumblr media
The lore around the Samaarians is that they appeared when the universe was created and started creating a bunch of life, but they’re not benevolent. There are multiple canon slave races created by the Samaarians for that purpose and the humans we play as are implied to be close relatives to the Samaarians. Perhaps made in their image?
Tumblr media
But yeah, that’s about the amount X actually reveals about the Samaarians. I imagine that the story was meant to tie into the Klaus arc, but there’s no way of knowing whether the original plans for X’s story contradict what the writers instead made for 2 and 3.
Also, some of the other major plot twists given by random sidequests include:
the protagonist is heavily implied to secretly not be a human, the term used is J-Body, but we’re never given insight on what that actually means. The party member Yelv is also a J-Body. This is revealed during Yelv’s Partner.
The White Whale was communicating with some other ships during its 2 year voyage. These ships cannot have been human ships because no one is aware of the existence of fellow surviving humans. This is revealed during White Lifehold.
Once something gets stuck on Mira, it is impossible to leave. This is revealed by Professor B during his sidequest chain and it is also alluded to by Goetia during Chapter 6.
There was a species of Giants that existed in Cauldros but they were wiped out, most likely, by Yggralith Zero and the Ganglion built their fortress over the ruins of that civilization. All information pertaining to the giants is told through item descriptions in the collectopedia.
There’s also this entire sidequest chain around the Definians, which are a race of shape-shifters controlled by a robot that have controlled species since the dawn of the universe where you overthrow their leader. You kind of just kill a god off-screen in a sidequest, very.
one of the alien races is from Bionis, this species is not the Nopon
True. The Orpheans are reliant on this virus called the Ovah, which guides their decision making and is connected to their reproduction. In the sidequest A Fateful Choice, it’s revealed that the Ovah came from a world predating the Orpheans. That world was shared with the Telethia where “the Ovah existed as a single entity floating in the ocean of another world.” So, while the name “Bionis” is never given, it’s heavily implied. Furthermore the Telethia is referred to as “the Ruler of Fates” and “the Endbringer,” which are both noteworthy. In the sidequest, the Telethia is compared to a God and is feared by the Ovah.
Tumblr media
The sidequest also involves someone getting eaten by the Telethia and receiving a vision of the past.
The Nopon in X are given zero ties to the Xenoblade universe. The closest we get is a sidequest where two Nopon look for the Sword of Legendaryness, which looks like this.
Tumblr media
This is pretty obviously meant to be a goofy reference rather than a serious piece of lore. The item description reads “A legendary sword left behind by ancient Nopon. When the mysterious lettering on the hilt lights up, it gives one the feeling of being able to use special powers.” But I figured it was noteworthy.
the second strongest enemy is known for destroying worlds; unrelated to Earth
True. This would be Pharsis the Everqueen, which is level 98. The strongest enemy is Telethia the Endbringer, which is level 99. This is the Yggralith enemy index entry.
"Hailing from the depths of outer space, these creatures can strip away the ether from entire regions before storing it in their dorsal spines to facilitate interstellar travel. Any unlucky inhabitants of planets they encounter are also devoured down to the very last organism. When this destructive rampage is finished, they set off in search of the next planet.
Though rare, Yggralith do at times come in contact with one another. The ensuing battles spell doom for any planet unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity."
So, yeah, these guys do destroy worlds. There are three yggraliths in the game. They are no relationship to the Ghosts or Ganglion, which were responsible for blowing up the earth. Pharsis is just vibing. I’m pretty sure it’s an infant.
the Ganglion got stuck on Mira before the humans did
In Chapter 6, we learn from Goetia that the Ganglion were transported to Mira by some light, they are trapped on Mira, and that Luxaar believes the Samaarian homeland could be related to Mira. The protagonists assume the Ganglion followed humans, but they are never corrected. Also, it’s important to note that the aliens responsible for crashing the White Whale onto Mira were the Ghosts, which were the faction that the Ganglion were fighting against.
the Bionis and Mechonis make an appearance in the collectopedia
True. The item in question is called the Privative Colossus Statue. It’s found in Noctilum near the Divine Roost (where the Telethia live).
Tumblr media
There they are. Beating the shit out of each other. The item description reads:
“A pair of gigantic stone idols locked in combat. No one is sure who sculpted them or gave them their name, but their primal beauty often leaves a deep impression on those who stand before them.”
Also, related to this, there’s a collectible that’s literally just an ether furnace called the Lost Memory Synthesizer.
Tumblr media
“A machine to fuse crystals that conceal some sort of energy. The problem is, said crystals don't seem to exist. Upon realizing its uselessness, the Harrier Sara-Ariel named it in disappointment.”
But yeah, the Bionis and Mechonis do make a cameo.
humans are not classified as humanoids in the enemy index
instead, they’re classified as Mechanoids because everyone’s in a robot body.
there is a sidequest where you can kill an NPC by telling them to take a shower
true. for some reason all the sidequests around the water plant are fucked up. But yeah, the sidequest is called Lakeside Getaway. An NPC is mad that her coworkers have stopped contacting her and then you learn that they all died because of an enemy that did an Alien. You can kill an NPC by telling them to take a shower because the monsters hatch from water-related things. So, if you let the NPC shower, this happens.
Tumblr media
Fantastic.

https://www.tumblr.com/thephantomcasebook/716821484228706304/dyana-returning-for-s2-and-possibly-being-involved?source=share I would like to read your thoughts on this post. Is it true that viserys ii put a taboo on the name of her parents? Besides Luke was sending as a messenger, Aemond was not to kill him, and Luke's dragon had no chance against Aemond's dragon. And in what part does Martin establish that blacks are the villains?
*EDITED POST* 10/23/23
I'm just going to be rude (not targeting you, though). Everything this user says, ignore it, it's bullshit. Not just in this post, I mean, everything.
For how Aegon III and Viserys II, why didn't declare Rhaenyra to be a legitimate monarch to be historically called "Rhaenyra I" (despite the multiple times she's called "Queen" or "the queen" in Fire and Blood-vol 1, esp after she takes KL), look to this POST. There was no damn "taboo", this is a gross exaggeration, no, a LIE about the situation. Possibly a self-delusion born from an inability to use deductive reasoning.
Being a villain or antagonist is a position that doesn't change, and I'm not referring to plot twists...twists does not shake off the reality of a smart villain or antagonists working against the protagonist or MCs in the shadows. All villains are antagonists, not all antagonists are morally bankrupt or "too far gone" like a villain.
First, protagonist =/= "good person". It just means "who's fighting for something against them/who is this story about". The antagonist(s) is the force/figures set against the protagonist, and thus they do not have to be "good" nor "bad". However, the Dance's protagonist is Rhaenyra. It is written about her rise, endurance, and fall.
Second, while a character can be dark, turn dark, or be an anti-hero, for a writer to try to actually make THE protagonist THE villain or the antagonist, the actual antagonist would have to also become the protagonist and the entire story will have become entirely different in themes, etc. Thus, you cannot establish the greens as protagonists or the "good guys" bc they are neither the winner, the person in the morally superior position, NOR who the Dance of the Dragons is about or whose struggle the Dance narrates.
The villains AND antagonists of the Dance are the greens. While the blacks have members who are not good people (classist, misogynist, etc.), they are leagues better than the greens and are meant to be their foils where one highlights the other's qualities to reveal the differing qualities between them. An example is how Daemon, while having beaten an adult messenger, AEMOND is the one to kill a young boy acting as an envoy who never reached Westerosi majority (16) because he felt like it. The same boy also happened to be Aemond's nephew, which includes kin slaying, something Daemon didn't do until Lucerys was murdered.
Even though I am sure Daemon would have no trouble killing Aemond and the rest of his green Targ family if he could get away with it before any green tried for him and Rhaenyra or their own, the point I am making is that the greens are misogynist, classist, etc x100. And they (aside from Jaehaerys I, he's long term and Viserys I, he made many stupid decisions for his daughter) short term caused the Dance.
Finally, yes, Lucerys had absolutely no chance of surviving Vhagar nor Aemond, since:
Aemond has a deep grudge not just about the eye, but bc he sincerely believed that the Velaryon boys had no right over him to the throne and thinks them inherently lesser, so their being heirs and ahead of him in the succession line troubles his identity/aristocratic masculinity -> this fueled him to pursue Luke when he absolutely didn't have to, and to the detriment and horror of Alicent/Otto/the green cause
Vhagar is the biggest living dragon at this point in time and is battle-hardened/experienced
Luke went out expecting to be safe bc his envoy/status, so he was totally unprepared
Luke was 14 when he did and didn;t seem trained in fighting w/a dragon -- unprepared
This wasn't a fight, it was an execution.

Would you mind talking about the changes you'd like to make to HoO now?
Okay! Sorry for the delay lol, I was so busy this weekend.
Some things stayed the same from my previous notes on it. For example, the Gods are still out of the game for the most part (though there will be some of the ocean Gods). This is because of a major plot point that is part of the main conflict. A few Gods will appear, but it will be to their detriment.
Book one's main plot is completely different from canon, rescuing Hera has nothing to do with it! Though Hera does have a hand in some of the actions that are taken. The stories shorthand is TLN rather than TLH ;). Titans and Primordials are involved as I mentioned prior, I'm very excited for how that plot will be going <3.
You will be getting hints about the primordials as the story goes on, so if you're someone that likes to predict things, pay attention! The book I'm working on right now will especially have some hints!
Book 2 will have some strong similarities to canon's book 2, but has some varying conflicts and struggles beyond canon's, also the Amazon's aren't.... that.
Book three is the one I've plotted out the least so far, I'm still debating what exactly I'm going to do with it. While the Athena Parthenos isn't involved, there is a different quest for Annabeth with some similarities.
Book four is complicated. There's still gonna be a Tartarus plot but the players in that are changed a bit. There's also multiple Titans that will likely get involved, still plotting out the actual path of that. The rest of the questers have their own plot going on but things will definitely be different from canon. They're not only having to find a way to get the tartarus crew out of tartarus, but also deal with another plot of the opposing force.
Book five is based at Mount Olympus rather than Athens, and has a fun plot that does get called somewhat from mythology, but with a touch of a twist. Also, the final battle is an actual battle.
As for the characters involved- the prophecy has more than 7 people :) In fact I'm going for a very different number than the canon number overall. I'm also including one OC, which I've gone back and forth on so many times but really they're needed to balance the situation.
Additionally! Several of the canon characters have changed backgrounds and parentage! I don't like how they were all from the Olympians when there was a whole big deal made of minor Gods in the previous series, it completely ignored that! So as you can imagine, I've changed several of them to have new parentage.
I've been carefully considering the parentage of each of the characters to keep what make them themselves, while also allowing me to explore new themes and possibilities! I won't say who the parents are, though you're free to guess ;) but I like to think they'll add to the story.
I'm also considering adding a touch of different culture and maybe exploring some other pantheons a bit. This will be easiest with Frank and his whole long family history, but a little with Piper and her Native heritage and maybe Hazel as her mother had a whole witchcraft thing going on plus being African American and canonically descended from slaves.
Overall, a lot to work with and adjust from canon! I'm very excited to work on everything and have a lot of research ahead of me haha.
