Christmas Day of Twelve - A Perfect End

. . . . 🎄⛄🎄⛄🎄. . . .

A/N:- Hello :) Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Sum:- The final Chapter in the 12 days of Christmas drabbles with Jack Sloane and Reader. Spending the most joyful day of the year with the love of your life, what could be better than that?

. . . .

The food coma from last night plus the before bed activities had your body aching from head to toe. However the thought brought a lazy smile.to yourself as you rolled over and snuggled in closer to Jack. She shifted and wrapped her arm around you, pulling you close. You'd felt her shift a few times, a clear sign that she was about to get up but you hoped the snuggles would delay her.

"Morning." She breathed, placing a kiss to your hair, loosening her hold on you.

"Five more minutes." You mumble into her neck, kissing her softly and wrapping your arm around her waist, trapping her.

"You said that half an hour ago, sweetheart. It's Christmas morning." She laughed, kissing you more.

"You just want to unwrap your presents." You countered, not moving.

"I already unwrapped the best one last night." You could hear the smirk on her lips before you moved to see it.

"I'll remember that for next year." You roll off of her, making a point and flop into your pillow for extra dramatic effect.

"Oh stop it. It's 0900. Neither of us sleep in this much."

"Speak for yourself. Ive always had a wonderful distraction to-" You feel her shift and her lips come up and kiss inbetween your shoulder blades, making a path to the right and back to the left.

"Whats the difference this morning then?" Her breath whisps over your skin, tickling your earlobe, making you shiver as she kisses back down your spine.

"Mmmm nothing.." You melt but groan when you feel her weight lift from the bed and her kisses end.

"I'm going to make coffee."

"Such a tease." You mumble into the pillow bit hear her chuckles as she gets changed.

If you didn't appreciate coffee just as much as her in the mornings you'd be slightly and probably stupidly jealous at Jack's love for the drink and the sugar that goes in it. To be honest you were just dragging out the morning, having her in your arms and vice versa was the best gift of all and one you didn't get enough of, yet. You'd been almost fully awake for an hour, enjoying the comfort of a slow morning with her.

You almost dozed off again but there was a soft hum coming from the kitchen which drew you out of bed. That and the smell of coffee. You slipped into her long track pants from the night before and one of your sweatshirts before following the smell and sound.

This was the second best Christmas gift this year, seeing Jack Sloane in only your sweatshirt and boxers dancing in the kitchen while she stirred something in a bowl was the second best gift.

She mustntve heard you come in because she was still in the swing, swaying her hips, using the spoon as a microphone singing along to Baby it's Cold Outside.

"God, I'm so in love with you." You breathed and she froze, that was meant to be in your head but when she turned around you knew she heard it too.

Dropping the spoon/microphone and placing it in the bowl on the counter she walked over to you with a fucking cute smile to her lips and planted a kiss on you. A kiss that said all you needed to know without saying anything. She walked you back until your bottom touched the counter behind you. You got the hint when her hands went from your face to your hips and you jumped up and she slipped in between. Your hands playing with her loose locks at the base of her neck while hers were still on your hips, gliding down to your thighs. You moaned into the kiss, your legs and feets curling behind her knees, pushing her further into you. Every time you kissed her it was like the first time, something new, something to be cherished, something that.you never wanted to stop.

Her hands moved back up your thighs, skimming along the hem of your hoodie before going under. You flinched and broke the kiss at her cold hands against your warm skin. "Ah!" You shifted back, trying to get away from her playful assault but there was no where to go. "Way to ruin the moment, babe." You poked out your tongue but she only leaned in and kissed your whining away.

"You're so warm." She hummed against your lips, her hands now warm from your skin, wrapping around your waist, drawing patterns on your lower back.

"You would be too if you stayed in bed with me five minutes more." You laughed softly at her roll of the eyes and kissed her again.

She melted back into you. Her hands coming to rest at your hips as you broke the kiss only to dot her cheeks, nose and forehead with feathered kisses. "I'm making pancakes. Thought you'd appreciate that, instead of a just coffee for breakfast."

"I've found coffee to be a great alternative to actual food."

"It's not and-" She held up her hand to your lips as you began to interject. "I know I'm guilty of it too but we have time today." She finished with a far too quick peck to your lips before slipping out of your embrace to continue her cooking.

You watched from your spot on the counter as she finished mixing the pancake batter and turning on the stove while she poured you a cup of coffee, just how you liked it. As much as you liked being the one to cook, there was something about being cooked for, more like Jack cooking you a meal, that made you feel all warm inside. That's probably why you blurted those words out earlier. That and seeing her be free and dancing in the kitchen made your heart melt.

"Stop looking at me like that." She didn't even turn around as she flipped over the first pancake.

You chuckled, hopping down from your spot, to place your empty cup of coffee in the sink. With your hands free, you stepped up to her and wrapped your arms around her waist from behind, resting your head on her shoulder. "And how was I looking at you, exactly?" There wasn't anything better to look at in this kitchen than her, so it was a fair assumption. Your favourite thing to look at for a while has been her, whenever you got the chance. She'd caught you more than half the time as well. That was even before you became this.

"Like I'm a lollipop you just want to-" Before she could finish you were laughing.

"I mean you aren't wro-" You got a light elbow to the gut for that response. "Hey, you said it." Using your nose, you nuzzled into her neck, placing a kiss to her bare skin, feeling her melt into your touch. That had to be the best feeling in the world.

"You've killed my filter."

"No filter needed with me, baby." You whispered, kissing up to just behind her ear. Your hands moving from her front down to her bare thighs. "God you're beautiful." You hummed.

"Stop! You're making me blush! Plus I'm going to burn our breakfast." She used her butt to nudge you backwards. "Wipe that smirk off your face and go set up the table. While youre at it, start the fire."

"Yes, ma'am." You swiftly avoided her foot blindly trying to kick you while she tended to the pancakes.

"Smart ass." You heard her murmur as you set up the table with plates, cutlery and the appropriate toppings for Christmas Day pancakes. Then went about tending to the fire, unlike the first few times you tried to start a fire at Jack's place, this time was easy. Might have something to do with it being still warm from the night before.

She cooked up a good stack of pancakes and only two were on the more crispy side which you teased her about, getting a tap to the shins for your sass. You left the dishes in the sink to worry about later and followed her to the couch where you cuddled the pancake coma away.

You were almost asleep with her fingers in your hair, lightly massaging your head, listening to the steady rhythm of her heart when she spoke. "This has to be my favourite Christmas."

The words made you smile, lazily placing a kiss to her skin just below her collarbone. You looked up from your position half on her and half squeezed inbetween her and the back of the couch. "This is pretty perfect. I wish we could stay like this forever..." There you went again, spilling things before thinking about them.

This thing you had was barely two weeks old, months of pining but still physically only two weeks in. She was your best friend besides Ellie for many many months and soon things began to change for you. Apparently for her too but neither of you ever did anything other than think the other wasn't interested. Thankfully you were making up for missed time.

She placed a kiss to your forehead as that was the only place she could reach. "That would be perfect." Her smile calmed your racing heart and her fingers stilled your worries as you placed your head back on her chest. "I can't lose you."

The words lingered for a moment before they actually registered. Her fingers stopped massaging and you lifted your head. Her smile had faded and was replaced with concern, her brows furrowed. "I can't lose you either and if I have anything to do with it, you never will." You scootched up the couch so you were nose to nose. "Jack..." You breathed and you both closed your eyes. "I mean it."

"I know. I love you too...I - I was-"

"You don't." She kissed you, stopping your reassuring words.

"I don't have to do anything, but I want to. It might be the magic of this day but I do really love you. I've felt that for a while, actually. Too bloody scared to admit it, however." She finished, her hand coming up to cup your cheek and guide you blindly to her lips, sealing her words. "You're so beautiful." Her lips ghosting over yours, she brushed her nose back and forth over yours before kissing you again.

You prayed you always melted under her touch and care. The only thing pulling you apart was the urgency to breathe. "Now you're making me blush." You opened your eyes in time to see her roll her eyes.

"So what do you want to do for the rest of the day.."

"I thought we were staying like this forever? Wasn't that the plan?" You hummed, kissing her cheek, then down her jaw.

"That was my plan but we need to eat at some point." She laughed when you started to shift down the couch, moving on top of her more. "Something a bit more nutritious might be required."

You rested your chin on her sternum. "We could make grilled cheese with the leftovers I have.."

"That sounds like a perfect Christmas day feast." She agreed, her fingers tucking loose hair behind your ear.

"But for now, I'm going with my first idea." You smirked, seeing the desire flood her eyes as you kissed your way down her stomach.

All your Christmas wishes were coming true. You would never have believed it in a million years if someone told you last Christmas you'd have found the love of your life and she felt the same way too. Something's just seemed out of reach for so long but seeing Jack when you woke up in the morning and kissing her good night in the evenings was a dream come true.

You made love on the couch, you laughed together, said everything your hearts needed to say and then made food together. It was awfully cute and awfully perfect.

Then Jack made a pile of blankets by the fire with all the pillows she could find while you did the dishes.

"Well this is a bit cute." You grinned, walking into the loungeroom watching Jack arrange the pillows so your heads were near the couch and your toes near the fire.

She looked over her shoulder with a twinkle in her eye. "Always wanted to do this.."

You walked up to her, wrapping one arm around her waist. "Always wanted to curl up by the fire with you."

She leaned in and dropped a kiss on your lips. "Let's get changed and snuggle in. Got a movie you want to watch?"

"Anything you want." You brushed your nose against hers before kissing her softly. "Anything you want."

She moaned into the kiss, turning and wrapping her arms around your neck. "Merry Christmas."

You smiled against her lips and she did the same. "Merry Christmas Y/n."

Reluctantly pulling apart you both got changed into the PJs you got for each other for Christmas. That's how cute you both were, they weren't matching but that was for next year. You cuddled up by the fire and watched Jack's favourite Christmas movie, Die Hard. There was a small debate over how much of it is actually a Christmas movie before she tickled you into shutting up and kissed you into agreeing.

The perfect end to a very joyful day. You only prayed everyone could find the joy you had found with this woman.

12 days of Sloane - Day 1 Cards and Chocolates - Jack Sloane X Reader

A/N inspired by @strongsassysexysloane 12 days of Christmas. This is my first post so sorry if it’s bad but I’m lowkey proud. I’m going to try to do these until Christmas maybe New Years but we’ll see. I also tried to be as gender-neutral as I could but there are going to be mentions of feminine clothing later on; but feel free to imagine what ever clothing you’d like.

Reader Pov:

You walk into the bullpen with the bright orange walls shining at you. You’ve already been in once today but that was also an hour ago. You put some chocolates on Jack’s desk secretly. She’s been your crush since you joined NCIS and you guys have always had little flirty interactions. You walk to your desk like it’s the first time today with your coffee just as the wonderful Jack Sloane walks in from her office.

“Hey guys! Do you guys know why there’s chocolates on my desk?” She asked. Her cheery tone bringing smiles to the team's tired faces. Gibbs doesn’t smile too often so he just sips his coffee.

Nick, Ellie, and Tim share a look while Gibbs and you shake your heads.

“Maybe Santa brought a really early Christmas gift.” You say sarcastically, smirking slightly. “It’s probably from Kasie.” Nick added with confusion in his tone.

“What’s probably from Kasie?” Kasie asks walking into the bullpen. Jack holds up the box of her favorite chocolates, shaking them slightly.

Jack’s Pov:

“Ahh. Well… you should probably read the note attached to it.” Kasie says grabbing the card from underneath the box. The card was store-bought. The front of the card was simple with red and green swirled glitter with “Merry Christmas” written on the front in cursive lettering.

   *It can’t be Y/N… can it?*

“Well? Ya gonna read it?” Y/N asks, biting their pen. “Even I’m interested, Jack.” Gibbs adds on. I glanced at Y/N then back at the card.

I look at the handwriting but can’t put a face to it. Kasie looks over my shoulder while I read to myself, “Dear Jack, I’m not that good at writing cards but I hope you like the chocolates. Merry Christmas❤️”

I’m very confused at this point, more than Nick. “Well? Who’s the secret Santa?” Y/N asks, an eyebrow raised.

   *God they look so good right now…*

“It, uh, didn’t say.” I said, still making eye contact with y/n and them only. 

Reader Pov:

“What if it’s that girl on the floor below… uh Carrey?” Ellie blurts. “Ooh or the one that helped us on that case a couple weeks ago. Emily? Or... wait what was it?” You continue. Noticing Jack frown becomes more and more apparent.

“Emma.” She quietly says, trying to put a smile back on. “Oh well. We’ll find out soon enough.”

“Why? Were you hoping it was someone else?” Gibbs talks for the first time in minutes, but still looking at his paperwork. 

Jack laughs, “Hah, nah.” She said quietly. You stand to lean on your desk. Gibbs’ phone rang, breaking the silence. You look at him making partial eye contact while he answers, “Yah, Gibbs.” He hangs up picking up his bag and you look towards the team mouthing “Grab your gear, got a body” as he says those exact words. Jack giggles while Nick, Ellie, Tim, and Kasie give a slight smirk. The team walks toward the elevator while you stop and look at Jack.

“Enjoy the chocolates.” You add, walking toward the elevator.

Christmas Drabble Day 12

Christmas Movie

Marty Deeks stood nervously, waiting outside your door. He'd been so excited about your date all day, couldn't be quiet about it actually but now that he was standing in front of the door waiting for you he was beginning to feel quite nauseas. You opened the door and he gasped

"Wow! Y/N you look breathtaking" he said with a warm smile. His comment made you blush

"Thanks Deeks" you say and he gives a shy smile

"Please, we're not at work anymore. Feel free to call me Marty" he says and you nod

"Ok Marty" you take his offered arm, linking yours through his and you follow him down to his car

"So where are we headed?" You ask curious.

"It's a surprise" he says and you nod as he opens the door for you.

A short while later you arrive at a restaurant that looks deserted, upon entering you find the reason why

"I hope you don't mind but the owner is a friend of mine and he owes me. So when he said that he was closing for the evening and offered me a chance to use his place I really couldn't say no" he said, you squeezed your hand and smiled at him.

"Thank you Marty, I love it" you say he gives you a big grin and says

"You haven't even seen the best part" your interest piqued you raise an eyebrow at him and he leads you into the main dining hall and see a couch underneath a huge blanket and a string of lights hanging on top with a tv screen paused on the opening scenes of one of your favourite movies. With a side of Jealousy

Summary: Reader goes on these little dinner dates with Fornell. One time Gibbs goes to the same place and gets jealous and soon realizes his feelings for her. They have a confrontation then eventually Gibbs and reader get together.

Y/N always enjoyed it when Tobias Fornell took her out for dinner. She was pretty sure that he knew there was little chance of luring her away from NCIS to join the FBI. For all that he could offer in the way of a well equipped lab and electronic toys to play with, the deal breaker that NCIS had and the FBI never would was Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Although she had pondered more than once that if Gibbs' rule 12 was ever the only thing standing between the two of them, then her leaving to work for the FBI and having Gibbs to come home to at night might turn out to be a girl's dream. But with the likelihood of Gibbs ever seeing her that way pretty minimal she'd settle for appreciating his company at work and enjoying the perks of a slap-up meal at a really fancy restaurant on the FBI dime at irregular intervals. Although Y/N didn't fancy him in the slightest, Fornell was pleasant company and she suspected that he rather liked her company too, they weren't above a little harmless flirting at their meals, both knowing that it would never lead to anything. Whether he realised Fornell was also a goldmine of tiny details about Gibbs, having a shared ex-wife between them, and Y/N was a master at teasing such snippets out of him.

She also enjoyed Fornell's tales of his young daughter. Y/N knew Gibbs had a soft spot for the girl because her mother was the ex-wife that Gibbs shared with Fornell. So as the nights drew in and the weather grew harsher foreshadowing the approaching winter Y/N was delighted to accept Fornell's invite to dinner. It was also an excuse for Y/N to dress up in an elegant and formal way that she never bothered with in her real life. Now the two of them were enjoying an intimate meal at an exclusive restaurant, tucked away in an alcove by the wall, with a very attentive young waiter that Y/N idly noted was getting on Fornell's nerves.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs was happy to cultivate his reputation as a bastard, but what he didn't advertise too widely was that he could also be a gentleman when the moment arose. He could be quite charming when he wasn't distracted by little things like his job. So when the widow of one of his Marine buddies contacted him to say she'd be in town for a few days and would he like to take her out to dinner he knew just the place - small and expensive - and when he put his mind to it he could spruce up pretty good. He'd known Amanda - a redhead - and her husband well, years ago when he still had a wife and a daughter of his own, but had not seen her for years.

When he arrived at the restaurant Gibbs had routinely surveyed the entire room, spotting Fornell at his table, but not quite recognising the dark-haired woman in the elegant dress who sat opposite him with her back to Gibbs. Briefly catching Fornell's eye he had nodded to him as they were shown to their own table across the restaurant. As Fornell had done, Gibbs seated himself with a view of the restaurant - looking out for trouble - leaving his date with her back to the room.

As Gibbs held the chair for his date to sit down, Fornell leaned conspiratorially across the table and indicated across the room to Y/N. "Well look what the cat dragged in." Y/N twisted round in time to see Gibbs seating his date and taking his own seat, neither looking their way while they were occupied. Her stomach flipped and "Wow" slipped from her lips as she took in how handsome he looked and the flame red hair cascading down the woman's back. Fornell smirked, "Yeah, not often we see Jethro dressed like that, must be a special occasion."

Y/N turned back to their meal, trying to put all thoughts of Gibbs out of her mind - which was difficult because this was the last place she would have expected to run into him and her mind was busy trying to parse what he would be doing here and who the woman he was with could be. She had no claim on him, he was her boss, and what he did in his personal time was no business of hers even if she would like the situation to be otherwise. Fornell had been taking Y/N to dinner for a number of years, partly in the vain hope that she might leave NCIS to come and work for him but also partly because he enjoyed a meal in her company and an added bonus was that he could justify the occasional expensive meal with her on expenses. It had become a routine that they shared a dessert, aimless flirting notched up a ratchet or two as they shared a spoon and even fed each other a mouthful or two.

Gibbs' attention kept being drawn to Tobias and his date. There was something familiar about her, but the loose hair and evening dress conspired to confuse him, leaving a niggling familiarity that he couldn't quite place. He wasn't aware that Tobias had a girlfriend currently and was intrigued at the apparent intimacy as the FBI Agent shared a strawberry sundae with the woman opposite him - they had to know each other well to behave like that in public. Sadly while Gibbs' brain grasped for what he hadn't quite taken in about the situation across the restaurant from his table, he wasn't really paying adequate attention to his own companion. It was only when Y/N excused herself to go to the powder room once she and Fornell had finished their dessert, that Gibbs suddenly realised what had been niggling at him, why the woman had seemed more and more familiar. A shaft of what he refused to acknowledge as jealousy stabbed through him and he excused himself from his own table to follow Y/N.

Y/N left the bathroom with her attention on the purse she clutched, snapping it shut, so she didn't immediately spot Gibbs lurking in the darkened hallway, not until he grabbed her wrist far too tightly and pulled her round to face him. "What the hell are you doing here with Fornell?" he growled. His expression was as menacing as she'd ever seen on him, though she wasn't accustomed to it being levelled at her. Years of reading the man came into play and she could sense a possessiveness to his anger. 'Well screw you mister, I might want it otherwise but you have no claim on me,' passed through her mind and before she could stop herself she'd slapped him across the face. He dropped her wrist and took a small step backward in response. She idly noted that he didn't put his hand up to where she had slapped him. "Not that it's any of your business, but I get a free meal from the FBI every now and then in an effort to recruit me. You know all about it and you don't generally care, but if you are going to behave like this then perhaps I should consider the offer. Fornell is always a perfect gentleman, unlike you." With that Y/N brushed past him to return to the table. Pausing to catch her breath after the angry outburst Gibbs had provoked she didn't want Fornell to know about it and start asking questions. Gibbs watched her return to her table, eyes narrowed thoughtfully. Only once she had gone did he allow himself to ruefully rub his jaw. 'O.K. Marine, that was a stellar performance.'

Y/N tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep,pondering who Gibbs' date could have been and why the hell he thought he had any right to be angry at her night out with Fornell. She picked up the phone several times only to put it down again - toying with talking it over with Ducky or even phoning Gibbs himself but finally coming to the conclusion that Gibbs owed her an apology. Finally she decided that Gibbs could stew in his own juices the next day while she had a day off to go Christmas shopping. Unless a case came in the next day she was up-to-date on all urgent work, so a day off would work well for all of them - especially with Christmas fast approaching - and maybe she'd be less angry with Gibbs by Monday. If Gibbs was going to apologise she'd make him work for it and if he thought a cup of black coffee and a "Good job, N/N" was going to cut it this time he was wrong. Across town, Gibbs had delivered his date back to her hotel having just about managed to be an attentive companion for the remainder of their evening, and was sanding a little too roughly on one of the ribs of the half-built boat in his basement. He didn't know quite how he'd come to upset Y/N so badly earlier, but every time he thought of her feeding a spoonful of that dessert to Fornell his blood boiled. Tomorrow, he'd talk to her tomorrow.

Finally in the wee small hours they both managed a few hours of fitful slumber. First thing the next morning Gibbs approached Y/N's lab with a cup of coffee in hand by way of apology, only to find the room quiet and lifeless in her absence. Which left him growling and snapping at his team with barely supressed frustration through a slow day of paperwork. Tony's muttered: "Geez, the boss *really* needs to get laid." earned him a headslap from Gibbs hard enough to make him truly see stars after which all three of them kept their heads down below their computer monitors where Gibbs could barely see them.

Y/N spent a pleasant day buying Christmas gifts for all but one of her friends, losing herself in the thoughts of what they would like and successfully pushing aside all thoughts of Gibbs whenever his image or his behaviour the previous evening threatened to intrude. She knew men generally, and Gibbs in particular, well enough to recognise that his behaviour the previous night seemed to be sparked by jealousy. But he'd never had a problem with her having dinner with Fornell before, she'd never hidden it from him, and besides he'd had a very attractive date of his own with him from what she could see, so he had no claim over her, no right to get angry. Every time she thought of it she got angry herself and truth be told a little jealous.

When Y/N returned home, laden down with bags and gifts, and tired from her day out, the very last thing she expected to find was Leroy Jethro Gibbs sitting quietly in the darkness on her sofa. He was so quiet that she'd dropped all of the bags in a corner, hung her coat in the hallway and shed her boots before entering her lounge turning the light on and coming face to face with the man himself. Her Y/E/C eyes flashed angrily when she saw him, the annoyance she'd been trying to squelch all dayreturning in extra force at his unexpected presence.

"So it's breaking and entering now, is it...? Jethro." His uninvited appearance seemed to encourage the informality of using his first name, in the scornful tone she'd heard Director Shepard use on him over the years. Gibbs stood up and took a step towards her, both of them instantly aware that her boots usually made her the same height as him and suddenly without them he had gained a couple of inches advantage over her. For an instant he didn't know what to say or do, he never had been good with words, or with women's feelings and then without a conscious decision he closed the gap between them, placed a large, gentle hand behind her neck and leaned down to press his lips against hers.

Y/N’s first instincts were to fight him off, and she briefly pushed against his chest with her hands, before her brain caught on to the notion that she'd far rather be kissing the man than fighting with him and her anger melted away. She stopped struggling, and opened her mouth to him, tentatively touching her tongue to his lips, at which point his tongue drove passionately into her mouth and his other hand snaked round her to crush her to him in a possessive hug.

There was a very short pause for air, and a growled "Mine," from Gibbs before he continued thoroughly kissing her, leaving Y/N grateful that his embrace was holding her up because she was sure her legs had melted. Gibbs broke away from her again, turning his attention to her jaw line, her ear, nibbling and kissing down her neck and she briefly wondered if he'd eaten during the day or was she dinner. His hands began wandering, his touch setting her skin on fire and driving all other thoughts from her mind. This needed taking to somewhere she could reciprocate his attention, preferably bed and preferably without all the winter clothing that was keeping them apart. With years of lusting after Gibbs behind her, Y/N was getting very aroused at his touch even though it was yet to become overtly sexual and she in turn could feel the effect she was having on him where their bodies were pressed together in his embrace.

Y/N disentangled herself enough to work at the sport jacket he was wearing, pushing it off him from inside and working her hand under his shirts to the warm skin beneath, at the same time stepping between his legs and easing him backwards gently with her body weight. Gibbs took the hint, moving slowly backward and shrugging his jacket off at the same time, allowing himself to be gently manoeuvred backward toward the bedroom, shedding clothes as they went.

Somewhere along the way there was a pause and their eyes met, despite his lust-blown pupils Gibbs blue eyes held a predatory possessiveness that took her breath away. He searched her face for a moment, perhaps looking for her permission to proceed, and with an almost imperceptible nod he seemed to make the decision that Y/N had been convinced that he'd never make. As they continued to the bedroom he made short work of her skimpy top, and callused fingers caressing her buttocks and stroking down her stocking-clad legs, which he lifted up to his hip, somehow removed her underwear as well.

By the time Y/N landed gently on her back on the bed, her bra had gone too and Gibbs had latched onto one pert nipple with his mouth while teasing the other between thumb and forefinger. He eased down her body removing his own shirt and undershirt in a smooth motion that barely interrupted his worship of her body. His hands swept up the back of her legs from her knees, ending by pushing her short skirt up above her waist and out of the way and his tongue homed in on exactly where she wanted to be touched, making her writhe underneath him while his fingertips danced over the back of her thighs. Y/N reached down blindly, needing to touch him and finding only the rippling muscles at his shoulders and the oh-so-strokeable short hair at the nape of his neck. He knew exactly when she was ready for him, standing up from where he knelt beside the bed, belt and trousers already undone, but still on for the moment. She thought he looked ever so slightly sheepish as he gruffed "Condom?", removing his trousers and boxers in one movement as she sat up and extracted the foil packet from the bedside cabinet. He knelt on the bed beside her, giving the base of his erection a firm squeeze as he allowed her to roll the condom on, while she took the opportunity of her first chance to really touch him. He positioned himself between her legs, lining up to enter her gently but with one smooth movement, then he surprised her by rolling them over so that she was above him, until she realised that the position allowed him to stimulate her clit with his shaft as he thrust in and out. He may have been underneath, but as his hips pistoned up and down there was no mistaking who was in control, especially as being underneath allowed his hands to roam everywhere over her skin while he plundered her mouth again. Every thrust of his hips pushed his cock deep inside her, the friction against her clit driving Y/N higher until waves of pleasure washed over her as her orgasm hit and then she was dimly aware of Gibbs' movements becoming more erratic as he too reached his climax.

Y/N wasn't sure if it was the gentle caresses or the rumbling stomach behind her that woke her. It was only a little after 5am, but they'd missed dinner and had a pretty early night, so she'd had a good night's sleep already. "Morning'," said the man in whose warm embrace she lay snuggled, and he leaned over to give her the sort of soft cheek kiss that usually went with a "Good job, N/N". She marvelled at how gentle he could be, compared to the fierceness she was accustomed to at work. He shifted a little behind her and she could feel his morning erection nestled against her buttocks. She briefly entertained the idea of a morning bout of sex, but then both their stomach's rumbled and he kissed her again and said: "How 'bout I buy us breakfast? Seem to recollect missing dinner. There a diner nearby?" "Yeah, I know a good place." Y/N said quietly, moving to get out of bed, but Gibbs' arms tightened around her, stopping her. "Mine," he growled again. "Possessive, much," Y/N grinned at him. He squeezed her gently again. "You've known me long enough..." "...to think that this would never happen." she finished the sentence for him. "What about rule 12, huh? This better be more than a cheap ass style apology, Mister." She was beginning to get angry again, there was so much going on here that she didn't understand - and while Gibbs was pretty eloquent *without* words when he was ordering people around, relationships required a whole lot more finesse than even he could manage with an expression or gesture. "I look like a cheap ass?" He scowled at her "No" He rolled over onto his back on the mattress, his chest bare where Y/N had pulled away from him and wrapped herself in the sheet at the edge of the bed, turning on the light as she did so. Running a hand over his forehead and sighing he said wearily: "Guess I need to revise rule 12 now."

There was a pause, Y/N still couldn't read exactly what he meant and was torn between hope that this was the beginning of something and fear that it wasn't. He didn't exactly sound happy at the idea of revising rule 12. He leaned up on an elbow and looked at her. "I... The other night... when I saw you with Fornell. Don't know what came over me..." She wasn't used to Gibbs sounding so unsure of himself. There was another pause as he grasped for words to explain but then he got completely side-tracked. "Cheap ass -style apology? You been on the receiving end?” Now she could clearly read jealousy in his voice, which at least made her feel better - a jealous Gibbs she could understand, even if she didn't really know why. "No. I've seen it work for Tony, but he knows I don't consider seduction to be an apology." She looked pointedly at Gibbs. "You still owe me an apology for your behaviour at the restaurant. I thought you knew both of us well enough to know that I *like* Fornell but nothing more. And anyway what about your date, shouldn't you have been paying attention to her, not me?"

Gibbs looked down at the covers almost - almost - as if he was hanging his head in shame. Quietly he said, "Amanda's the widow of one of my Marine buddies, she... and Shannon... were good friends. Haven't seen her in years." "Oh." was all Y/N could manage in response, and then the moment was broken as Gibbs' stomach rumbled loudly again. "Breakfast," he said firmly. "Then we've got the whole weekend to figure out how you'd like me to apologize - if you'll let me."

Y/N’s heart soared. She finally had the man she always wanted.

Tenth Day of Twelve - A Soft Thoughtful Twist

A/N - I like this one. Maybe I'm just impressed I've kept this going lol

. . . .

This morning you'd found a beautiful knitted scarf twirled up on your desk. It was a beautiful turquoise blue with a shimmer through it. The perfect addition to your winter wardrobe and made the walk between your car and the building considerably more pleasant.

You hadn't taken it off all morning, even in the building, it was too soft and warm to leave it behind. Kasie was instantly jealous of your present when you went to the lab to get an update with Bishop. Next was a ride out to the parents house to get some background and on the way back to the yard you bribed Ellie into stopping at the Diner for a late lunch. It wasn't much of a bribe, to be fair.

"Hi Elaine." You both walked up to the counter, Elaine turned around from wiping down the counter.

"Hi ladies, what can I get your hungry bellies today?" She smiled, slipping her cloth into her apron and stepping up to the register.

"Two coffees, make that three. Gibbs will need bribing once he finds out we've stopped for food."

"Done. He was only in an hour ago but I'm sure he needs a refill." You all chuckled, it was probably his sixth of the day but that stuff didn't effect him like most. It would only make him grumpier if he didn't have his consistent flow of bean juice. "Nice scarf. Where's you get it, hun?"

This brought an instant smile to your face and your hand up to fix it more around your neck. "It was a gift."

"Someone has taste. It suits you beautifully." Elaine hummed while pouring the cups of takeaway coffee. "Now while that helps you two stay awake, what food can I get you?"

You relayed your order. Adding a few extras for the boys just in case they were extra sulky about you bringing food back. Elaine hopped out back to help them move it along while there was a lull in people.

With the extra hand, the food was ready in no time and you were back on the road to the office. Ellie fed you fries on the way while she ate her burger not so gracefully. Motor pool would have words with you one day about eating in the cars but it can't be as bad as some of the suspect's you bring back. You shuddered a the thought.

"Elaine is right you know."

"Never said she wasn't."

"What did Elaine, wait you went to the diner?!" There was the Nick whine you predicted.

Bishop handed him a box. "Here. For your whiney tone." It was his favourite.

"I don't have a- thank you, Bishop."

She shook her head. " Don't look at me." Placing a steaming cup of coffee next to Gibbs left hand. "This was y/ns shout. She had to bribe me to go to the Diner."

Gibbs hummed. "I'm sure it was hard."

Ellie rolled her eyes while the guys snickered. You placed a box of fries on Tim's desk. "All it took was the word Diner and I'm paying."

"So five seconds." Tim added with a thank you nod before munching down a bunch of fries.

Ellie shrugged, skipping over to her desk and sitting. "I only had a bagel for breakfast, packet of chilly crisps for morning tea and a juice on the way to the parents. They were super unhelpful by the way."

"Didn' expect 'em to be. They hadn't spoken to their kid in five years but still needed to check 'em out." Gibbs gulped down what looked like half of his drink.

You all worked to find a lead which was a very long afternoon but the food helped and so did your scarf. There was no appearance from Jack at all until it was going home time for some. She waltzed down the stairs all chipper to be heading home.

Ellie slumped back in her chair. "Look who's the lucky one."

"Got my work done. All reports for Dwayne's case AND the Dinnins case. I need a drink and a shower. Missing the constant party that is NOLA however." She bounced on the balls of her feet, looking from an unhappy Ellie to an unhappy you. "Nothing?"

"Nothing." You shook your head at the lack of leads but raised your head at her mention of NOLA. "You'd go partying after a long day?" You chuckled, you don't know where she got her energy.

"It's a constant party down there. It made me rethink my margarita surf bar retirement idea. Dwayne's bar has a nice vibe to it." She bopped her head along to whatever tune was playing in her head.

"Thought you missed the beach."

"I do. I miss playing more often, watching tv and knitting just doesn't cut it anymore... Might move that retirement plan up a few years." It sounded like she was joking but her eyes told another story. You heard Ellie cough not so subtly but you chose to ignore it.

"Sounds like you've got some thinking to do in that shower." You rolled your eyes at the way that sounded and the smirk that curled Jack's lips while you hand came up to fiddle with your scarf again, was it a nervous tick? Maybe this was why you didn't wear things around your neck, you seemed to fiddle with them alot.

"It's beautiful. Suits you." She commented with a smile, looking down at your scarf and back up at you with sparkling her eyes.

You tried to still the blush but it spread across your cheeks, lifting the scarf a bit to hide one cheek. The move probably made it even more obvious, you could tell by Ellie's not so quiet snicker.

"Thanks, Jack. This person has really great taste."

"And knows you well. Everything they've picked is very personal." Nick budded in and you shot him a glare for his efforts.

"Jimmy says I may have a stalker." You tried to joke it off, to get a reaction out of Jack.

She only swayed her head. "Some may see it that way."

"How do you see it?" Nick again with the prodding, you thought this was Ellie's territory. Hopefully Tim didn't bud in or worse, Gibbs.

"Not a stalker." Gibbs budded in and all eyes went to him. He did nothing, just continued to stare at his computer.

There was silence for a moment before Jack piped up. "Think y/n would've noticed a stalker by now. These gifts aren't creepy or too much. They're thoughtful and sweet."

"No photos with people heads cut out and replaced with others you mean."

"Very specific but yes." Jack confirmed and stepped forward to pick up your photo frame. "That was a fun night. One of my favorites."

"Mine too." You smiled up at her, shifting your scarf around your neck.

"Don't wear it out on your first day." She chuckled, placing the photo back down.

"I won't shower with it if that's what you're meaning." The back and forth was so easy with her.

"Might have to ask for a new one if you do that." She winked before shifting her handbag onto her shoulder more. "And on that lovely note. I'm going home to have a shower. Don't work too late everyone..." She spoke to you all but was staring at Gibbs.

"Night, Jack." You threw over the divider as she walked to the elevator. Ellie was staring at you, waiting for you to comment but you went back to work. The conversation replaying in your head, taking apart every detail. Maybe you were the creepy one but you wanted for it to be her so badly.

Only two more days and you'd hopefully find out.

We are almost at the end. I don't know if I'm sad or relieved 😅 I want to read someone else's Christmas Jack stories...

A Snowy Night’s Kiss - NCIS Reader Insert (12 Days of Christmas)

Pairing: McGee x reader

Warning: fluff!

A/N: This is a small drabble for a Christmas mini-series I am writing. Each story is different, and are even in different fandoms, but I will try to pull in twelve different themes of Christmas. I hope y’all enjoy this one, and the ones to come!

You let out a groan of frustration as you look at the stack of paperwork you still had yet to finish on your desk. It seemed that you never made a dent in the stack, rather, after each case, it looked to only double in size. 

Tim had long since gone home for the night and you hadn’t the faintest idea where Gibbs was. That meant it was just you and Tony in the half-lit, deserted bullpen. You bite back another groan as you set your pen down, your eyes automatically finding Tim’s empty desk. 

As you stare at his vacant chair, you can’t help but wish that he was actually there. He was your best friend, partner, and love of your life and always made things, work-related or not, better simply by being there. Of course, you had never admitted to him that he was anything more than a partner and friend, despite how painfully obvious it was to everyone but him. Even Gibbs knew.

“Ah, would you just tell him already doll?” Tony’s voice snaps you from your reverie. You turn to him, feigning confusion as you say, “I am unsure of what you mean Tony.”

Tony lets out a bark of a laugh. “Sure doll. The only one who doesn’t know is McOblivious. Heck, I’m sure Ducky even knows by now.” You let out a sigh, knowing you couldn’t fake your way out of this conversation. You turn your attention back to the pen in your hand, fiddling with it as you ask, “What am I supposed to do Tony? I have given him so many hints and he still hasn’t gotten it.” It was quiet for a few minutes after that. 

Then you hear Tony stand up from his desk, his heavy footsteps making their way to your desk, causing you to lift your head to look at him. He grabs your jacket from where it was strewn across the small chair behind your desk. 

“Y/N, you’ve got to tell him. Stop giving him hints, he’ll never figure it out.” Tony says as he holds your jacket up. You quirk an eyebrow at him, unsure of what he was doing. 

“Now. You’ve got to go tell him now.” He adds. You slowly stand up, letting Tony help you with your jacket. You had always wanted to tell him, but could never work up the courage, thus the countless hints you had thrown at him. Now that you knew you would be telling him, a heavy cloud of hesitation and doubt settled over you.

“But, what if he doesn’t feel the same way? What am I going to do then Tony?” You ask quietly as you gather the rest of your things into your bag. 

Tony places a soft hand on your arm. In a moment of complete seriousness, he answers. “Then he is a bigger idiot than I thought.” His words make you turn to look at him. He has a far off look in his eyes as he adds, “Whatever happens, you’ll know it wasn’t because you didn’t put yourself out there. And if he is an idiot, then I’ll be right here for you okay?”

You nod and sling your bag over your shoulder. “Now go and find McNerd.” He says, the familiar glint of humor back in his eyes. 

The drive to Tim’s apartment is short, much shorter than you would have liked, considering the task at hand. You take a minute to compose yourself before you exit the car. 

You reach to grab the door handle of the building when it flies open, catching you off guard and causing you to stumble back. A hand snakes out, stopping you from falling backward. You steady yourself against a strong chest before looking up. Words of gratitude are perched on your lips when you realize that the person still holding you close is Tim. 

“Tim.” You whisper, the words you had been ready, or at least as ready as you’d ever be, to tell him moments earlier, flying out of your head. 

“Oh, Y/N. What are you doing here?” His voice sends pleasant shivers down your spine. 

You step back, in hopes of clearing your head. “I..uh...actually came to see you. I want to tell you something.” You unconsciously pull your jacket around you tighter, in hopes of fighting off the cold December air. 

Tim notices the small act and he pulls you closer, wrapping a strong arm around your shoulders. “Why don’t we step inside?” He suggests. 

You shake your head and step back from him, your body craving his warmth almost immediately. “I’ve got to say this before I lose my nerve.” You take a fortifying breath before you continue. “I love you, Tim. I have for a long time now. And even if you don’t feel the same way, I needed to tell you.” You whisper. 

Fat flakes of falling snow create an eerily quiet, yet tenderly soft, atmosphere as you wait for Tim to say something. He stares at you a long moment before a wide smile breaks out on his face. 

Instead of saying anything, he pulls you into his arms, his lips meeting yours in a deeply passionate kiss. You feel a hand cupping your cheek and another on the low of your back. You kiss him until you have to pull back for a desperate breath. He rests his forehead against yours, his hot breath fanning across your face and causing the few flakes of snow resting in your eyelashes to melt. 

“Y/N, I have been waiting for months to hear you say that.” He mumbles, his eyes half-closed and his lips parted. A half-smile creeps onto your face as you pull his face down to yours, kissing him and telling him all the things you had been wanting to for months. And knowing he felt the same made this moment even sweeter.

Reader Pov:

You wake up to your alarm beeping at 4:30 knowing you have somewhat of a long day ahead. You take a shower and head to your closet to choose your day two outfit. Nothing too fancy, a simple maroon blazer with a black undershirt, hanging lower than normal, and black shoes to match. You knew Jack liked when you wore maroon so you knew she’d say some flirty line as soon as she saw you. You grab your black coffee with a crap ton of sugar and head out the door. You chug your coffee hoping it’ll get rid of the nervousness. By then it’s 5:30 and you drive to the nearest flower shop and pick up a bouquet of 11 roses. On the way out you grab a vase and a card. In your car you start to write in the card, 

   “11 roses, 11 days. Can’t wait ‘till there’s one left.”

You walk into the office by 6:00 hoping no one is there. Walking past the bullpen to the bathroom to fill the vase, you get the flowers set and walk to Jack’s office. You stop seeing her door open.

  Well shit.

You peek inside seeing she isn’t there so you set the vase and cards down and run back to your desk. You slow down as you see Jack leaning against your desk and Gibbs working on… whatever boss man works on.

Jack’s Pov:

“Hey guys.” Y/N says. Seeming more jittery than normal.

How can someone look so good in maroon. I wonder what they’d look like under… 

  FOCUS. JACK.

“Hey hot stuff. Why’re you here this early?” I ask, grinning slightly.

   Hot stuff? I- too late now.

“Well, I was just going to find you and see if you wanted to go get some coffee.” They say. I look at Gibbs, raising an eyebrow. We both look back at her nodding.

“Okay then. I’ll be back in ten.” They say walking over next to me. How can someone smell so good. Oh god ignore that. They bend over grabbing their wallet from their bag. Damn. I clear my throat and look back towards Gibbs. 

He smirks, smooth.

I smirk lightly back and blush, shut up.

Reader Pov:

You bend over grabbing your wallet, knowing damn well that Jack is staring at your ass. You stand back up walking towards the elevator swaying your hips ever so slightly. Ten minutes later you return with six cups of coffee, three of which are black, two of those have enough sugar to make 3 batches of cupcakes. The other three for Ellie, Nick, and McGee.

“Hey Y/N. You seem happy… more than normal I mean.” Ellie says, looking towards Jack who was now sitting in your chair, holding the vase of flowers.

“I’m doin’ peachy keen jelly bean. Now take your coffee.” You say jokingly but sternly.

“You sound like Tony, Y/N.” McGee exclaims. You giggle, handing out the coffees.

Jack’s Pov:

I walk back into my office after Y/N goes to get coffee. I spot the flowers on my desk and freeze. 

  Flowers?

“..8, 9, 10, 11?”

I read the card in confusion. Could it possibly be Y/N? I mean, these weren’t here until they showed up… no… Gibb’s would’ve said something. Unless he didn’t see them? I walk back to Y/N’s desk and sit down in her chair, ignoring Ellie and Nick’s glances. I smell coffee and look up to see Y/N’s bright smile bringing the drinks. She finally reaches her desk and hands me my coffee. 

“What are those? New Secret Santa gift?” They ask. 

“I- uh- I think so. Yah.” I say shyly. I stand up quickly, taking the coffee from their grasp. “Well I bet you guys have tons of paperwork to do so I’m gonna go back to my office.”

Y/N smirks and sits down. Maybe she doesn’t know who the gifts are from?

* After nearly 60 years in showbiz Cher has a different aspirations -- since traveling to Pakistan to help a mistreated elephant from a local zoo be relocated to an animal sanctuary she’s saying this is her new mission to help endangered species in third world countries and campaign for other good eco causes -- Cher spends much of her time cooped up and bored in her Malibu mansion and her trip made her realize there’s a world out there that needs her help 

* Mark Harmon of NCIS is all work and no play these days and nearly two decades in the same TV gig as Leroy Gibbs has only made things worse as the responsibilities of the show seem to wear heavier on Mark by the year and even on a break you can’t get him to crack a smile or tell a joke; he’d rather go lie down in his trailer -- off set Mark and his wife of 33 years Pam Dawber get along because they’re such homebodies and Mark can usually be found working on his cars in the garage or relaxing in the yard and he cherishes his quiet time but people have stopped inviting him out because he’s known as Mr. Boring

* Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton are proving themselves to be perfectly postmodern parents by raising their kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with firm rules for TV and electronic use -- Kate who recently revealed she’s fielded her share of temper tantrums actively attempts to stave off meltdowns with a strict rewards chart and the kids have to earn screen time -- Kate prefers to keep them busy with activities like board games and hikes and baking which the children enjoy anyway

* After spending the last several years living a relatively low-key life in his native England Russell Brand is desperate to have a bigger presence in Hollywood but his wife Laura insists he stay put -- Russell’s craving SoCal living and the copious acting jobs and event invites that came with it but Laura prefers their British life outside the spotlight with their young daughters -- while some work has come to him in England like the upcoming Death on the Nile if he had his way he’d make a more aggressive career push in L.A.
