...re: the tags on that last post, I didn’t block the player but I am blocking the main, just bc I don’t feel like pouring the energy into hyper-policing all my fucking graphics like that (it’s hard enough with one particular broad who spent about 5 years on and off harassing me for content and I honestly don’t need the fucking stress over what’s ultimately bullshit anyway; though I do pre-emptively block a lot of disney/pocahontas style rps or slave/master rps just bc I can’t stomach that shit)

but as an example of anger bringing other anger to the surface of my emotional waters, it really also snapped me back to how old NDNblr drama over bq politics and lateral racism & shit like that got sideloaded into the fucking tumblr rpc when prominent NDNblr cliques dissolved / pretendians were rooted out / prominent bloggers deleted bc of shitty drama

like there’s more than one prominent rph blog I have mutually blocked either for anti-latinx bullshit as non-latinx natives or for anti-native bullshit as non-indigenous latinxs, and a bitch gets tired of seeing that, particularly knowing my labor is going to be used to enable that kind of foolishness, all while ppl maintain their ignorance and go on thinking about how awesome and “woke” they are for stepping all over my identities & racial + ethnocultural heritages in the name of their fucking hobbies, just as a baseline on principle at best

not even getting into how respectful or disrespectful they are in what they do with that material or with how they choose to further “interpret” the day to day realities of my humanity for their potentially exotified racist bullshit.

…This kind of shit is why I stay hating NDN discourse and I do not miss throwback NDNblr. Bc it was all BQ bullshit & "Nativer than you" pissing contests, and for as much as some of the ppl who were around then (myself included) joke about it, this weird concept of ~sanctity of tribal boundaries & distance~ that's conveniently only applied south of the Rio Grande, in the Pacific, or in the Caribbean—

when Cuba is closer to Florida than I am now to Nish country, and some of y'all hate Columbus & Captain Cook alike without loving those men's victims, or even embracing them into your community— and hell, the way some of y'all get being ok with mixed performers so long as they look Native enough to you, and not too Asian or too Black specifically—

that shit gets old, and fast.

And tbh it makes a lot of you seem immature, and un-compassionate, here for indigenous theory but not empathy for people who suffered the same slings and arrows as you and yours because they're too foreign, the untouchable kind of brown to you.
