Rewatching old Silent Witness episodes is entirely just an exercise in rotating Harry Cunningham slowly in my brain. Love this ridiculous man and his awful sense of humour and his great big chronic hero problem and the fact that he's an appalling judge of character because he always wants to believe the best of people

that scene where boyd asks raylan if having a child changed him and raylan says “we’ll see” but the next episode raylan lies? and says that having a child “changes you” in reference to himself. but it makes you wonder whether that was raylan being self aware or if he has this notion that having a child will change him eventually and even though he hasn’t changed right now he might down the line? which is so fascinating cause normally becoming a parent changes you automatically but we get this disconnect between raylan and willa and by this point we haven’t seen him with her in person once and he’s in no hurry to come home or be with her so it makes sense that he’s sticking to this abstract version of parenthood as a front or he thinks that he can be changed without actually parenting her. i’m sure this is explored more in city primeval but where i’m at right now in s6 it is just so interesting. justified writers you’ve done it again.
