in fact if you ask him what's on tv he wouldn't know the answer and in fact he couldn't care less because how do you want him to pay attention to the movie when the love of your life is sitting next to him because he would watch it some movie when he can just sit and look at you because it's times like this that he can admire you and thank his family for having you in his life, but if you say he was watching he will deny it and tell you to go to sleep because you must be sleepy and imagining things.

Hello greetings! Thanks for follow me! May i ask why do you like junpei-nisan and ship him with izumi-ne? Sorry f9r my rude and bad english..

Hello! Don’t worry about your english because first of all it is not bad; second, I’m not english myself so, honestly, who cares🤫. What matters the most is to understand each other, right?

I’ve recently written a little post about why I love Junpei so much:

But I guess I could tell so much more about the reason why I love Junpei. That post isn’t exhaustive at all ahaha.

For example, I could tell you about how much I love his personality being so flawed and going through a development that does happen in the background, but it’s still so beautiful. From seeing him starting off as a selfish, rude kid wanting the world to rotate around him, to observing him finding his role in the group, taking step backwards because of their sake (very ehw, but I admit it was written well from his perspective, at least).

As far as concerns Junzumi, the reasons are so many even when it comes to them. I used to ship Takumi (Takuya x Izumi) in the past, but I had never watched Frontier tbh. When I started my watching, my immediate liking on Junpei soon laced itself with a growing interest in the pair. Going beyond the fact I have got a soft spot for pairings in which a boy is so devoted to his crush, loves her so endlessly and would do anything to make her happy, I could make a little list about the main points making me like Junzumi so much.

• The main reason why I love it is that they are both lonely kids and they get constantly paired up at the beginning of Frontier because of this characteristic of theirs. They just deal with it in different ways, indeed, opposite ways: Junpei searches for friends so desperately he even sells himself, becomes a people pleaser, exchanges friendship for material stuff; Izumi has got no friends because she doesn’t want them, she doesn’t want to be treated as a special kid, being put at the center of attention (whereas Junpei DOES want to be the star of situations XD). Both also cope with this situation of theirs in different ways, almost specular, with Junpei feeling a void inside himself but trying repressing it, lying to himself, and Izumi being perfectly aware of her condition but not wanting to go deeper and looking for its root. What really makes this point (and couple) so special to me is that in some profiles about Junpei it’s stated he felt drawn by Izumi at first sight because he could perceive she was as lonely as him.

And I…I am a lonely person too, I must admit. I’m an only child like them and somehow I do relate to their need to have someone around themselves.

• They are the most well-developed duo in the whole Frontier and have got ton of potential because of their personalities clashing, but always finding a way to get along. They are…The Mum and Dad of the group, this is a certainty, but they are also great partners when they collaborate. They started off with Izumi not standing him, Junpei not knowing how to even conversate with her in a normal way. Yet, they soon learn to appreciate each other, unconsciously learn they can grow up thanks to each other. Who’s the first (indeed, only) member of the group Izumi opens up to, has got the best heart-to-heart with? Junpei. Who is the one for whom Junpei goes beyond his limits, understanding how important for him is to protect those he cares for? Izumi. Let’s also add Junpei gets interested in italian thanks to her, but this is something I have to add because of my endless love for this aspect of Junpei’s.

• They can be both a platonic and romantic relationship and, in my personal opinion, in a couple it’s so important to balance the two sides.

• Their personalities help me come up with thousand of ideas for them and it does matter for a creative person like me, I assure you. Imagining them older and applying those explosive personalities of theirs in a boyfriend/girlfriend or ,even funnier, husband/wife context is just everything to me. Junpei is the loyal, extremely devoted, affectionate, sometimes also wise husband pleasing his wife in the most disparate ways he could. There’s nothing he cares more about than seeing her happy and making her believe she’s the most beautiful, -inside and outside-, woman on Earth. Izumi is the wife liking teasing her husband, being so strict at certain moments, taking the reins of any situation and holding the scepter of the household. Yet, at the same time, she’s the most lovely companion of life, making husband feel the most desiderable man on Earth.

AND FEEDING HIM WITH BEST FOOD.

EHM, yes, moments in which you are flooded by emotions. Waves of emotions.

• They are Wind x Thunder, parts of tempests. Their elements also have got a special bond in one of the V-Pets.

• Their Digimon are both bugs in their adult forms and, Jesus Christ, consider me stupid, but I ship Fairymon and Blitzmon so hard too (especially after Blitzmon is revealed to be a simp for her in the 2019 drama).

These are some reasons. SOME, though, because there are ton of others. I…I would be banned from Tumblr because of the excessive length. Anyway! I hope I was clear and answered your question in the way you wanted. They're like three different dynamics in a trenchcoat??? They're completely in love and yet Akane hurt Junpei so much. Junpei is bitter and Akane is hurt by how distant he's become, and vice versa. They're engaged and adore each other and are SO sweet and yet... they're also cold, they barely know each other at all... They're so paradoxical and that's why I love them

your ideal/headcanon version of it? how does it differ from how it is in canon & why is this your favorite version? any other alternate versions of it you enjoy?

Oh my ideal version of them IS the paradox. I mean obviously I prefer them in the way they love each other, the way they are post-ZTD... But my headcanon for post-ZTD is that they still need a lot of effort to even be together at all without hurting each other constantly. They're so interesting but I DO want them to be happy.

what do you like about their relationship, why is it interesting or enjoyable to you?

Because...!!! They care about each other, even after everything!!! I think that's fascinating, I love how Akane has been through so much and is FORCED to bring Junpei into it, but both of them still obviously love each other!!! There's just so much there, everything complicated and difficult, and even after all that they still look for each other, sometimes for DECADES.

Also, Akane's conviction being saving herself/everyone else, and Junpei having a singular focus on Akane. Real bi and loves his wife energy here, while Akane's arc is her own despite it's constant intersections with Junpei's life, in a way I find really compelling.

what about the individual characters involved? what does this relationship mean to them, what makes it unique among their relationships?

I think they're connected in a cosmic, unchangable way. I mean this so so so genuinely. Their relationships cannot be like this with anyone else, because they're connected through the morphogenetic field.

But, if I'm to put it into words... Junpei's here because of devotion and belief that Akane is worthwhile, and Akane's here because she's never been able to let go of Junpei over those 9 years they were truly apart. That she keeps his ring is another way she keeps holding onto him even as physically she runs.

I replayed the boy and the ring scene just today so that's on my mind but tbh Tenmyouji going "The Akane Kurashiki I know isn't here. She's not anywhere." was such a banger, alongside the ENTIRETY of the end of 999, the whole "I saw everything through his eyes" thing. God god god god I love them.

Aforementioned post-ZTD issues! Generally them being a couple and trying to learn how to navigate each other without fear and pain. Them knowing they haven't been good for each other all the time but they just love each other so much. Augh. I want them to be so gentle and afraid of things getting worse, but knowing that with effort they can keep this.

Back to Japan

Kouichi was there when Kouji got off the plane. Kouji shook his head, started up his phone again. 5 messages from Kouichi and one from Windy. He ignored Kouichi’s messages as he walked towards his brother and opened the one from Windy instead.

”So how was Sweden?” Kouichi asked and took the backpack from Kouji.

”Cold”, Kouji answered which wasn’t a complete lie.

”Did you watch Eurovision?”

”That was like a month ago”, Kouji laughed. ”But yeah. How did you know?”

Kouichi blushed.

”I watched it with Mats. Well, we talked over msn while both were watching it.”

”I wanted to introduce you to it”, Kouji pouted.

”Did you really think I wouldn’t get to know everything about it from our Swedish friends? Really?”

They walked over to where the suitcases would arrive while Kouji thought about it, and in hindsight he really should have expected Kouichi to have watched it as well. Kouichi bumped their shoulders together.

”What did you think about it?”

”It was okay, but I don’t get what the big deal is. Europe is weird.”

”It’s mostly the Swedes that make a big deal out of it”, Kouichi told him. ”I asked Izumi and the Italians barely care from what she remembers.”

”Did I miss anything while I was away?” Kouji asked while scanning the bags for his own. Kouichi shook his head.

”Junpei is still pinning for Izumi, Izumi’s still mostly looking to make friends with everyone, Takuya joined a football team and Tomoki has gotten taller again. Mom is seeing someone.”

”Is he approved?”

Kouji grabbed his suitcase and they started heading outside. Kouichi shrugged.

”I haven’t met him yet, but mom seems happy.”

Kousei were waiting for them outside. Kouji waved.

”You’re late”, Kousei greeted him and put his suitcase in the trunk. ”How was Sweden?”

He’d get that question a lot, Kouji realized. Maybe he should have come up with some good answers before he landed. He shrugged.

”Lots of nature, a bit chilly. Can’t go into the forest without horses trying to drown you.”

Kouichi looked horrified and Kouji patted his shoulder before sitting down in the backseat. Kousei shook his head and took the driver’s seat and Kouichi sat down next to Kouji in the back. The car wroomed to life and they started the drive home.

”It was a joke”, Kouji said to Kouichi. ”There’s a fabled creature called uh… Bekahetsu?”

Kouichi’s face lit up.

”Bäckahästen! Yeah, Mats told me about those as well. He skipped the part where they drown people though.”

”Windy knows a lot about murder”, Kouji said with a laugh and tried to not think about her expression when she had told him she could kill him in so many ways.

”Why did I let you visit her again?” Kousei asked and looked at Kouji through the rear view mirror.

”Yamato was there as well and you know Yamato. Also I’ve gotten really good at puppy-eyes since I met niisan.”

”Did you have fun? What did you do?” Kouichi grabbed his attention again.

”Lots of pillowfights and cookies, and a LOT of walks in the forest around her house. We went to the city a few times, but mostly we stuck around the house.”

”Were her parents there?” Kousei asked and Kouji really should have expected that question.

”Uh…” ’I’m not sure I even had parents’ she had told him. ”...they were out of town for work. Something important came up.”

Kousei nodded. He could understand doing important stuff for work and neglecting your child for it. Kouji glanced at Kouichi and Kouichi gave him a small smile.

”I wish I could go to Sweden as well. I’m still trying to convince mom to let me go to a school over there.”

”Speaking of that, think you can teach me Swedish over the summer?”

”Someone’s in ~love~”, Kouichi teased.

”Yeah, you”, Kouji laughed and hit Kouichi’s shoulder. ”I just want to go to school there with you.”

”I can try”, Kouichi lauged as well.

”You’ve already missed a lot of school here, Kouji”, Kousei said and Kouji rolled his eyes.

”I kept up with it! I held my promise and even did good on the exams they made me sit through. Please, dad.”

”I understand that it’s fun and exciting to visit friends abroad, but you have friends here as well.”

”But if Kouichi’s going to Sweden…”

”If”, Kousei said and that was the end of the discussion. Kouichi shrugged.

”We’ll work on your Swedish first and see about schools later.” He leaned in closer to Kouji. ”And if our parents keep saying no we can always move to Sweden for University later. They have some famous ones there.”

Kouji nodded.

”Sounds like a plan.”

The car pulled up on the driveway and everyone got out of it. Kouji grabbed his bag from the trunk and Kouichi grabbed Kouji’s backpack. Wolf let out a bark when he noticed Kouji finally back home and two seconds later Kouji was flat on his back with the dog licking his face.

”...I missed you too. Maybe I’ll bring you next time.”

”So did Yamato stay in Sweden?” Kouichi asked and pulled Wolf away from Kouji.

”He’ll be back next week.” Kouji got to his feet again and scratched Wolf behind the ears. ”We can go visit him if you want to?”

”Stop playing with the dog”, Kousei said as he walked past them. ”Get a laundry machine started and then take a shower, it’s almost dinner time.”

”Haaaaai.”

Kouji gave Wolf one more pat and then hurried into the house with Kouichi right behind. They took the stairs up to Kouji’s room and emptied both bags onto the bed.

”I didn’t get you a gift, sorry.”

”It’s fine”, Kouichi laughed. ”Do you need help with the laundry?”

”Nah, you can play on the computer while I take care of this. Have fun with your sims a bit or something.”

”It’s not a bad game, I think you’d like it.”

Kouji gathered all his clothes and laughed.

”I’m still working my way through the Final Fantasy-games. I don’t have that much time for video-games, especially not if I’m gonna learn Swedish as well.”

”You could play the games in Swedish”, Kouichi suggested as he started the computer and Kouji laughed again before leaving the room to do what Kousei had told him to. Sweden had been fun, but it was still nice to be home and hang with Kouichi again.

Itadori’s usual smile replaced with a straight face, he’d be so quiet most people couldn’t tell if he was in the room. He cried into his pillow every night and held it close to him, pretending the pillow was you. He awaited the day of his execution. When he finally gets to see you again.

{𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐦𝐢 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐨}

↳ He often pretends that you’re still alive, that you’re just on a mission somewhere far off. He wraps your hoodies around his pillows and falls asleep holding them. Megumi would go into a deep depression. He never got out of bed- he never had the motivation to. He ate little- you weren’t there to enjoy the food with him, so what was the point?

{𝐍𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐤𝐢}

↳ Out of everyone here I think she’d have the worst reaction, Nobara became upset and sad that she wouldn’t know what to do. She handles grief by pretending nothing happened- like Megumi she’d pretends you’re just on a mission. If someone brought up your name in a conversation, she’d go crazy- even if it wasn’t anything bad, she just doesn’t want to be reminded that you’re dead.

{𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐮 𝐆𝐨𝐣𝐨𝐮}

↳ Gojous self confidence would decrease by tenfold. He’d be so ashamed that he let you die, he’d constantly be beating himself up about it. He’d stop bragging about how he’s the greatest Jujutsu sorcerer, if anyone brought it up he’d look away and say “I’m not as great as I used to be, they helped me be strong. Now I don��t think I’ll ever be as strong as I was,”

{𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢}

↳ He blames himself for everything, he believes that he’s the reason for your death. He’d visit your grave every single day and apologize. And if he misses a day or forgets to visit you, Inumaki sobs, saying how he’s sorry that he could forget about you even for a second. He promised he’d never take on another lover; he thinks it’s disrespectful to your memory.

{𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢}

↳ Nanami regrets how he never spent enough time with you, he would walk through endless streets full of god knows how many people, wondering what would’ve happened if he spent more time with you. Would you have been happier? Did you die unhappy because of him? He sleeps in an empty bed and thinks if this is what you felt when you had to sleep alone.

{𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐩𝐞𝐢 𝐘𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨}

↳ Most of his life, Junpei had wanted someone to hold, to be with, to love and get love. When you died, his universe felt miserably lonely. Everything felt dull, every sunny day; was a cloudy one, every blooming flower; was a wilting one. Nothing could ever make him as happy as you made him.

{𝐑𝐲𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐚}

↳ (If I’m being honest, he wouldn’t care in the slightest, but I don’t want to let my Sukuna simps down) He was probably the one you killed you, or he’s the reason you’re dead. In the beginning he thought of your death as nothing more than just a death- but as time went on, Sukuna slowly realized that he kind of enjoyed your company. Seeing this, he regretted killing you, but he quickly shooed those feelings of regret away- he didn’t want to mourn someone- especially someone he killed.

{𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐨}

↳ (Again, He probably wouldn’t care, but I my Mahito simps need to feel some kind of pain) There weren’t many people Mahito cared for- if any at all. But there was something about you, something that made him care- even if it was just a little. Maybe it was the sight of your limp body that made him sad, or maybe it was that he would never get to annoy the shit out of you again. But he couldn’t help but feel sad.

He’s clearly nervous but doesn’t wanna show it

He stares at two shirts, debating which one he should wear

Your parents invited you two to dinner at their house so they can meet your boyfriend

Normally Cobra doesn’t put too much thought into meeting new people

But these are your parents we’re talking about here

So it’s a little nerve-wracking for him

You wrap your arms around his middle as he continues to stare at the shirts he has laid out on the bed

“Which one do you think I should wear?”

You give him a smirk as you take in his bare chest

“I think you should just go without one”

He will chuckle, relaxing a little

“Now what kind of impression would that leave?” He’d ask before pressing a quick kiss to your lips

You decide on the red shirt would be best

He will ask you if you should take his bike or if you should just walk

He doesn’t want you parents to disapprove of him just ‘cuz he rides a motorcycle

You assure him that bike or not, they will love him. Cuz you love him

With that you both take off to go see your family

Your parents both excitedly greet you before introducing themselves to Cobra

For the first time in basically ever, he introduces himself as Junpei

He’s still pretty quiet through dinner

Mostly just observing all the interactions

His hand barely leaves your hand or lap

He made sure to compliment how nice of a home your parents have and how delicious the meal is

Your dad asks the question, “What are your intentions with my child?”

Cobra will be completely honest and say “All I want to do is cherish them and protect them with my entire being.”

After Cobra sees the smile of approval from your dad, he’ll relax a lot more

Once everyone has had their fill he will offer to help clean up and volunteer to do the dishes

Your parents honestly love him and will tell you to come visit again soon.

Rocky

As soon as you mention to him that your parents want to meet him, he starts planning

He’ll insist that you all meet up and have dinner at his club

It’s partially so he can maintain a bit of control over the events that could transpire over the night

But it’s also a subtle brag to show that he has enough money to care for you

If your parents live out of town he will offer to pay for a hotel for them to stay in

He will close the club for the evening and hire a cook to prepare whatever you all may want for dinner

He will send Koo to pick them up as the other employees of Club Heaven preps the place so everything is ready for when your parents arrive

It certainly seems like your parents are more intimidated by Rocky than the other way around

Koo takes everyone’s order before grabbing wine for you all

Rocky remains cool, calm, and polite through the whole dinner

Your parents are blown away by the whole experience

Their jaws dropped when they discover that the club is actually owned by Rocky

Your mom half-jokingly asks you if he’s a mafia boss

He’s got an answer for all of your parents questions about the future he sees with you

“You need to understand. I view your child as if they are royalty. So I will do what I must to keep them happy and healthy.”

There is so much sincerity in his voice that it calms any concerns or worries they had

Koo brings out your favorite dessert when everyone has finished dinner

It’s low-key another way to further ensure that Rocky has your happiness as a first priority

Once your folks are ready to leave he will ask Koo to get them home safely before asking them to come visit again

Murayama

This man is a complete nervous wreck

Your parents are hosting a little dinner as a means for you to introduce him to them

He complains to Seki and Furuya for an entire week

There is even a moment he tries to fake sick the day of the dinner

But as soon as he sees how disappointed you look having to cancel, he makes a miraculous recovery

He becomes the living embodiment of the scene from Bob’s Burgers. “Fine I’ll go but I’m going to complain the whole time.”

He changes into his “good clothes” (a pair of jeans and a blue flannel that isn’t covered in blood stains)

As you make your way up to your childhood home Murayama will take off his bandana and shove it into his pocket

He starts trying to fix his hair a little before your parents greet you both

Murayama gives an awkward bow as he introduces himself

Throughout dinner he’s twitching and stuttering every time anyone directs conversation towards him

When your mom asks him what he does for a living he freezes for a moment before giving a vague answer about how he is still in school, hoping it left enough implication to make her think maybe he meant college

Your mom nods like the answer wasn’t enough to satiate her questions but she will drop it for now

You can feel his leg bouncing uncontrollably underneath the table as your parents’ questions keep coming

He clearly didn’t have the answers they were looking for either, and they aren’t too impressed

This was putting him even more on edge

That’s when you place your hand on his knee to try and help ease his nerves

You come to his defense, “Mom. Dad. Please back off. He’s trying his best and I know that. He knows how to make me laugh and he cares about me. That’s enough for me. So please, that should be enough for you too.”

Murayama looks to you in shock

He knows how much your parents mean to you, and it honestly gives him courage to speak up too

“Thanks Y/N. I’m sorry if this is rude, but i need to say it. I know that I’m dumb, and broke. And to most people I come off as just some kind of delinquent. And I’m very aware that your child deserves better than me. I remind myself everyday. But there are three things I know for a fact. One, is that I love Y/N. Two is that for some crazy reason they love me too. And third is that I’m good in a fight. So you better believe that I’m gonna fight for them. Fight to keep them happy and safe for as long as I can. I’m sorry if that’s not enough.”

You feel tears threaten to fall out of how much you love and appreciate your boyfriend right now

You squeeze his knee in a form of quiet support as he gives you a nervous smile

Your parents stop hounding Murayama the rest of the night.

Things get a little quiet after that too

But your parents seem to accept Murayama a little more after that

Smoky

When you aren’t originally from the Nameless Road

Another one that’s hesitant to meet your folks

But for different reasons

It’s mostly due to his living situation growing up

He’s used to families just abandoning each other

But he will put his grudges aside for you

He won’t necessarily dress up for the occasion

I mean don’t get me wrong he will clean up as much as he can

He does want to try to make some kind of good impression on your parents

But dude knows where he’s from and what he’s about

He gets a little nervous knowing your parents are hosting dinner at their home

He will compliment their home as he walks in

He tries to ignore any judgy or sympathetic your parents may give him

He’s going to try and be a gentleman through the whole dinner

He will answer any and every question your parents have honestly

May your parents like the answers or not is a different story

At first they try to hide whatever their initial thoughts are

But unfortunately, Smoky is a very observant one

Though he will continue to try to ignore it, for your sake

If your parents make any comments though, that he can’t just ignore

And when that line is crossed, he’s willing to put your parents in their place if needed

He will remind them that not everyone is privileged with steady jobs and decent shelter

He will inform them that he knows better than anyone that these people exist

And if they try to pity him, he will then let him know that he’s survived this long with their pity, he doesn’t need it now

You will give him a look that tells him that you don’t want an argument to break out

He will apologize to you and your parents for the little outburst

Hopefully no more arguments or comments will be made and the dinner will finish in kinda awkward silence

When you are part of the Nameless Road

Your parents already know him

He will treat them like family already and vice-versa

They are prolly hella excited that this man could possibly become their son-in-law of sorts

Prolly shares extra food with him out of gratitude though he always hesitantly takes it, insisting they need it more than him

They think he’s the sweetest guy you could ever be with

Hyuga

You’re the one worrying about this get together the most out of anyone

You have a feeling that this is gonna end up with either your parents dragging you out of the house, forbidding you from seeing Hyuga ever again. Or he’s gonna scare them away before they even enter the premises

As you pace across the room, Hyuga watches you with a giant smirk on his face

“What’s the matter? Nothing is gonna go wrong.”

His lad back expression and his words of assurance do everything but relax you

Everyone seems to decide it’s best to have dinner at Hyuga’s family home

You’ve cleaned the house for like a week straight

The rest of Daruma are asked to stay away for the evening

That night you prepare a traditional Japanese dinner for everyone to the best of your abilities

You’re basically sweating bullets when your parents show up

You stutter through the entire greeting, leaving Hyuga to introduce himself

He’s actually quite polite and welcomes them to his home

He’s still wearing a very relaxed expression through the evening

Your parents are impressed with how big the house is and how well kept it is

“Well that’s all thanks to Y/N. They’re incredible.”

Your dad will ask how Hyuga could afford the place

“Well it’s actually passed to me from my own father.”

Your parents nod their heads and share their condolences

You can’t really tell what’s happening here.

Hyuga’s being nice? Is this even Hyuga? Is he planning something? What could it be?”

Dinner goes on and Hyuga offers some sake to go along with the food

He brags about how you made all the food yourself and that he’s so proud of how delicious everything is

You keep watching him, expecting something to go wrong at some point

Maybe he will mention how he finds it fun to beat the shit out of people

Or he will just go on and threaten your parents’ lives for funsies

But no. None of that happens

Instead he explains to them how he owns a cassino

Your dad has never looked so impressed by just someone’s career before

And Hyuga gives a modest shrug, “Well it pays the bills.”

You’re honestly just as surprised as your folks with how well the whole night is going

When your parents leave, Hyuga invites them come back soon

But as soon as they pull out of the driveway, the act seems to drop

“Well that was annoying.”

You look at him confused, “Why did you do that? How did you do that?”

“My family may have been brutal, but they were also businessmen. And when they had their meetings at the house, we would all have to be on our best behavior. Or my dad would beat us into next week. And as for why. Cuz your parents are important to you. And you're important to me.”

This makes your heart stop for a moment

Hyuga isn’t one to say sappy or romantic stuff very often, so you know he means it.

Before you can get too emotional though he lets out a yawn and heads off to bed

You stare at the ring on your hand as you stand next to Nanami Kento in the grocery shop, you and him have agreed to see each other and go out once a week while fixing up the divorce papers.

Last week you both had gone to a cafe after work but had to end early since Yuuji had fell down the stairs (despite being athletic, the boy was awfully clumsy). This week, you both decided to do something mundane.

Grocery shopping.

“Hm, what does Yuuji think about this?” You asked, showing the man some bars of rice krispies, “He seems to be a sweet-tooth.”

“Sukuna is the sweet-tooth, Yuuji isn’t really picky with food.”

“Huh,” You hummed, “Sukuna seems so soft despite all the tattoo’s.”

Nanami rolls his eyes at your statement, “He’s just, as kids like to call these days, a nerd.” he retorts, taking the peanut butter off the shelf and carefully placing it in the grocery cart, “He enjoys mathematics and art,”

“Ah, hence the tattoo’s.” you thought out loud.

“I almost lost it when he went home a few months ago looking like that.” He sighs, running his hands through his hair, “It was a sign of rebellion, saying that he didn’t want to move to Tokyo.”

You chuckled, eyes on him, “Must’ve shot up your blood pressure, Kento.”

He clicks his tongue in dismay, the memory still fresh. Nanami Kento unlike what Gojo Satoru said was a very easy person to like and accompany. Ever since that ‘mild’ mishap two weeks ago, you’d have calls and little quick meet-ups aside from the once a week dates.

At times it felt like the little wedding at the Izakaya hadn’t happened, it was as if you were just going out with him.

Nanami Kento didn’t even have to try so hard to make you comfortable, he was just...there and everything just seemed right. He had easily fit right in with your routine.

You continue to watch him and he stops in the middle of his tracks, blinking heavily, “Ah,” he mumbles, placing a hand over his eye.

“Oh,” you paused in your tracks too, “Are you alright, Kento?”

“Just dust,” He mumbles, “It probably got in.”

You hold back a laugh, how mundane, “Here, let me…”

You slowly take his hand away from his face, his eyes shut tight, trying to hold in the pain from the dust getting in his eyes, “Do you mind bending down a bit lower, Kento?” you ask, “I’ll have to blow it out of your eye.”

Nanami follows your orders and bends down. You slowly cup his cheeks and lean in closer to his eyes and softly blow. You notice the slight twinge of his body, the reaction making you inwardly giddy, “Feel better?” you whispered.

The older man opens his eyes and only then do you notice just how close you two were with each other. For a moment, movement around you is slow and you don’t even notice Maki Zen’in standing right in front of you along with Yuta Okkatsu.

“Sensei?”

You finally snap back to reality when you hear that very familiar voice calling you out. It seemed like Nanami had been caught up in the moment too, “Oh,” You cleared your throat, letting go immediately of Nanami’s face and jumping back, “Maki-chan.Yuta-kun. What a surprise.”

The young girl narrowed her eyes while Yuta’s ears were evidently red, signaling that he felt very embarrassed to walk in on that moment, “Hi sensei.” Yuta greets, clearing his throat, “I-uh sorry about that, I told Maki to walk away and-”

“It’s fine, Yuta-kun.” You laugh, a bit nervous. What would happen if she told Yuji and Sukuna about this? You knew how Maki was sort of close with the twins, although she did not know who Nanami was, she may describe him and if the boys were smart enough to catch on with it, you’d be entangled in it pretty quickly and you weren’t ready to meet them as their ‘oji-san’s’ partner.

You were a bit nervous and it was showing.

Nanami takes quick notice of this and slowly wraps his fingers around yours, a small smile appearing on his lips, “Good afternoon, you must be my partner’s students.” he greets, the man had a way with younger ones, you could only imagine how he was as a father figure to the boys growing up, “It’s nice to finally put some faces on the kids that Y/N loves to gush about.”

Unlike your nervousness a while ago, this man is calm, cool, and collected. You almost envy him at how good he’s doing this.

“At least you picked someone better than Toji-ojisan.” Maki nods, “This guy looks actually more serious with life than him.”

You feel Nanami’s brow quirk up at what she just said.

“A-Anyways, Sensei…” Yuta clears his throat, “We’ll leave you and your boyfriend together. See you at Math class tomorrow!” He hurriedly grabs Maki’s wrist and zooms away at a speed of light. Leaving you two awkwardly standing there.

“Toji?” Nanami asks, curiously peering at you, “An admirer, I assume?”

“Megumi’s otosan.” You mumbled, embarrassed, “He likes to play jokes and all that. It’s nothing serious.”

“Hm.” he mumbled, a small dismayed look crossed his features and you wonder why, “If he does anything uncomfortable, you can pull my name out. I wouldn’t mind.”

“I’ll be sure to take note of that.”

You both continue your way down the grocery aisle, not even noticing that he still has his long hand wrapped around yours.

“Y/N-sensei…” Nobara drawled, placing her head on top of the wooden end of the mop, “How come we never knew you had a boyfriend?”

“Oi,” Megumi growled, “You’re supposed to be cleaning.”

“You’re just jealous that Y/N-sensei didn’t get to be your new okaasan.” Nobara bit back, putting her tongue out. You watched as the raven-haired boy chunk the blackboard eraser at her direction, a vein popping in his forehead.

“Stupid,” He replied, “I’d never let Y/N-sensei near the jiji.”

“What’s he like, Y/N-sensei?” Junpei asked, tapping his chin, cutting the argument short, “I heard Maki-senpai talking about him.”

You watch as Yuuji placed his head on his best friend’s shoulder, “Yeah, she was telling me how older he looked than you.” he exclaimed, you nervously gulped down. Yuuji sure wasn’t helping the situation at all.

“Well,” You chuckled, trying to remain calm and oblivious, “He’s nice and he has kids.”

“Ha.” Sukuna droned, stopping whatever he was doing, his punishment despite not being given any by Nitta was helping the cleaners clean for the whole week, much to his dismay, he had to follow or you’d be giving him a slip, “You’re dating an old man? I thought the reason why you didn’t date the Zen’in-jiji was because he was old and he had kids.”

“Oh.” you looked down on your books on the desk, embarrassed, “I don’t have a problem with kids. In fact, I’d love to meet them.”

“Wah,” Yuuji’s eyes were sparkling now as he hurried in front of you and placed his elbows on top of your table and head on top of his hands, “I hope I really get to meet someone like you, sensei.”

“Stupid, I doubt any sane person would want to go with you.” Nobara said across the room, making Yuuji glare at her and started teasing her.

You chuckled once again at their antics. Meanwhile Sukuna continues to stare at you, eyes narrowing especially at the ring on your ring finger. For some odd reason, it held quite the familiarity.

Yuuji likes to think that Nanamin is the best godfather out there, technically, he was like a father to them already. So he had always wondered why he never got married, he was sure that when they were out a few times, many women would crowd for their ojisan.

His father’s very close friend, Haibara-ojisan had mentioned one fleeting moment back when he was babysitting them that Nanamin was very secretive on who he liked that even he didn’t know if he’d ever been in a relationship.

But things were different these days, for the past two weeks, he’d have one day wherein he’d go home later than usual. It was odd to say the least and not like he minded really, they were high school kids after all since Nanamin hated overtimes.

He mentioned it to Sukuna but his twin just rolled his eyes and said, “Man probably needs to chase the bag or something, he technically is paying for this nice house and two freeloaders here.”

Yuuji doubted it though! Nanamin earned pretty well and he didn’t really need overtime since he was technically the boss or so he heard from Geto-ojisan a few nights ago.

So while he was making them some katsudon for dinner that night and Yuuji was doing some homework for your class, he decided to ask the question.

“Saaay, nanamin-ojisan…” he drawled, placing his pen down, “You’re coming home a lot later than normal these days…”

The older blonde turns to the younger twin, face still straight-lace and stoic, something that Yuuji was accustomed to, “Work has me by the neck.” he replies shortly.

“Every wednesday’s?” he quips, tilting his head to the side.

“Yes.”

“You aren’t dating anyone?”

Silence erupted between them, the only sound could be heard was the sizzling of the chicken on the pan, “What made you say that?” he asked stiffly and maybe, if Yuuji was ignorant, he wouldn’t have noticed the slight twitch of his brow but he wasn’t.

Yuuji prided himself to be an observant person, someone had said he could pass off to be a detective in the near future, he had the agility and the observation skills (sukuna said otherwise though and said he’d get himself killed if he were to ever enter that field)

“You sometimes have that weird look on your face when you look at your phone.” the boy pointed out, “But Sukuna says you’re just chasing the bag so maybe he’s right, he’s kind of the smarter twin after all.” he mumbles the last part with great disdain.

Nanami lowers the fire on the stove and places his hands on the counter in front of Yuuji, “What if I told you I was sort of seeing someone?” he mused, humoring the young boy.

“Are you really?” Yuuji’s eyes widened, surprised written all over his features, “What are they like, Nanamin-ojisan? Are they pretty? Do they know about us?”

“Oi what’s the noise about?” Sukuna’s raspy voice cuts through Yuuji’s excited one as he enters the kitchen, hair still wet from the shower and in house clothes with a towel hung on his neck.

“I told you Nanamin-ojisan was seeing someone!” Yuuji yelled, eyes sparkling since he was right this time, he quickly returned his gaze back to the older man, “When do we get to see them? Are they nice? How’d you guys even meet?”

“You’re seeing someone?” Sukuna spat, eyes wide in complete surprise, “How’d you even get someone to stay around with your uptight attitude?”

“Yah!” Yuuji yells, “Nananmin-ojisan is nice with women unlike you, no wonder girls are very scared to approach you!”

“Shut up,” Sukuna grumbles towards his twin then turns towards his godfather, “How the hell did you even meet?”

Nanami just shrugs, telling them they’ll know soon enough as he returns to his cooking. The boys seemed to dislike his answer though and continued to bug him. After cooking dinner and having their fill, he returns to his room and whips out his phone, a text message from you saying, ‘hey, the boys asked me about you earlier. They heard from maki-chan.’

The blonde wonders if he weren’t drunk, would he even consider doing this sort of thing? Dating was really out of the question, he admits he isn’t in the right place to go out with anyone especially with a young person like you.

He thinks he’s taking advantage of the power-dynamics since he’s older.

He doesn’t even deny how weird it was that you're still hanging around him especially when you had a far richer man as one of your admirers. Satoru may or may not have overhead Yuuji gossiping about you one time and your ‘relation’ with Megumi’s father, it was definitely a small world and judging from the Toji you had mentioned a few days ago, it wasn’t hard to connect the dots that it was actually Toji Zen’in, a member of one of japan’s high business clans.

He shakes his head before pressing the call button, it only takes a few rings until you answered, “Hey kento.” You greeted, “What’s up?”

He hears the sound of a whizzing electric mixer on the other line.

“Boys gave you trouble?”

“No,” he could almost feel the smile on your words, “They were just surprised I liked a man with kids.”

“I reckoned, Yuuji seemed to have caught up too in my side. Been asking why I’m going overtime.”

Silence settled between you two for a moment and Nanami wonders if you’re scared out of your wits. You might be backing out this deal after testing those waters, “Maybe you should tell me when I could meet them then? We wouldn’t want them to run into us during one of our outings or when we’re fixing up the divorce.” you replied softly.

“Hm,” he mumbled, “I’ll be sure to ask them about that. For a temporary setting, you sure take this matter quite seriously, Y/N.”

“Well, I did say I’d help you out.”

A small smile reaches his lips as he hears your small and shy voice. It seemed like having people to check up on you by the end of the day wasn’t so bad, after all.

aoi soon continues her words, "fushiguro megumi, kugisaki nobara, yoshino junpei, and my brother itadori yuji. these are the six, that i, by my name as todo aoi..."

mei mei fixes her hair following aoi's words, "and i, by my name mei mei" the two utters in sync declaring the goal for the meeting, "...recommend for first grade"

nobara looks back at the three boys she’s currently with, “quit being a slowpoke.” you smile at nobara, “let’s calm down now, there’s a lot of sale we haven’t check out yet.”

nobara looks back to you then at the three, she huffs and links arms with you, “you guys are lucky they’re with us or else i would’ve beaten all of you to pulp,” she excitedly walks with you to yet another store that’s having a sale.

“but they’re my partner,” junpei mutters, looking at the two’s retreating back, hand reaching out that’s full of shopping bags.

yuji chuckles at junpei’s misery, “you gotta get used to it, what’s yours is technically hers too.”

junpei’s mouth drops looking at yuji, “for real?!” the two started conversing, voices getting a bit louder. megumi walks ahead of them, blushing from embarrassment.

“junpei,” yuji nudge his side lightly, the three are ahead of them leaving them a little behind.

he hums quickly glancing at him before looking back at you again, “about the ring,” junpei halts and gives his full attention to yuji.

“what? something wrong?” the pink-haired asks, also stopping. junpei looks down, his shoulders dropping, yuji’s eyes widens.

“you-” junpei didn’t let yuji finish the sentence, just answering him with a nod for confirmation. “that’s it! we’re helping you!” yuji exclaims, full of determination.

“help with what?” megumi pipes in, hands in his pockets. “junpei’s proposal!” yuji smiles at megumi, his usual stoic face faltering after hearing the news.

junpei punches yuji’s arm lightly, blushing from the bold statement. “i’m not proposing!” he turns to megumi clearing the confusion, “it’s a promise ring.”

megumi lets out a small ‘oh.’ “what’s the difference?!” megumi rolls his eyes at his friend, “there’s a big difference.”

you appear in the scene together with nobara who’s glaring at them. “difference with what?” you skip beside junpei, giving him a small smile.

he shakes his head, nervously laughing, “it’s nothing.” you squint your eyes at him making him look away with a small blush.

you hum not wanting to push further, “wanna get ice cream?” you reach out for his hand intertwining your fingers with his.

nobara clicks her tongue, arms crossing over her chest, “boys and their stupid talks.” she turns around leading the way, “she’s extra cranky today,” yuji mutters staring at her retreating back.

you shrug, giving yuji a soft smile, “menstruation maybe?” yuji lets out an exaggerated ‘oh.’

junpei laughs a little while patting yuji on the back, “this is why you’re not popular with girls,” junpei says as yuji looks back at him.

“you’re starting to act like nobara too!” yuji looks at him, frightened. “it’s the truth,” megumi adds in and follows nobara, “and you guys are supposed to be my friends” he mumbles, looking dejected.

“at least, y/n’s nice to me.” you put on a sweet smile, “well truth hurts, yuji.” his lips forms into a pout, walking ahead not before muttering “bullies” under his breath.

the first years are summoned by satoru saying he has another mission for them, “he said it's top secret,” megumi informs them.

nobara shakes her head, “when wasn’t?” yuji soon changes the topic while making their way to ijichi's car.

“nobara’s good with planning surprises,” he says out of the blue causing for the rest of the first years to raise a brow at him.

“the promise ring,” the two boys nods in sync, understanding him. “ring?” nobara slightly tilts her head to the side.

junpei nods at her, pulling out the box from his uniform showcasing the ring. “this... for a promise ring?!” junpei rubs the back of his head.

“is it not nice for a promise ring?” nobara shakes her head, her eyes sparkling from admiration. “you might as well propose to them with this!” junpei blushes at the thought, “don’t be ridiculous, we-we’re still young!” he stutters in panic.

“oh come on, they will say yes,” she gives back the box, “no doubt about it."

junpei looks away, tucking the box back in his uniform pockets, “you never know that” he mumbles, yuji interrupts by clapping his hands together.

“we should make a plan,” in which nobara agreed on, “i’ll do it since it’s y/n.” junpei looks back at nobara and shakes his head, “you really don’t have to,” she waves her hand dismissing his statement, “i’ve already decided.”

for the second time today, you almost tripped on something while blindlessly reaching out.

yuta is doing an awful job telling you where to and not to go, “i'm so sorry y/n” he bows his head even though you’re blindfolded.

he didn’t know how he ended up being the one to assist you when he's really bad at communicating with others, “we’re almost there” he informs you.

you don’t know what to expect since there wasn’t anything special today, your birthday is still months away.

“what's with today yuta?” you face where you think he was which yuta corrects, “it won’t be a surprise anymore if i tell you.”

that didn’t stop you from trying to know until you feel one last little push, “huh? yuta?” you aimlessly try to find him until you feel someone take both your hands.

you try to retract your hands but stop once you hear a familiar voice, “it’s me,” junpei’s soft voice reaches your ears.

junpei slowly removes the blindfold off you, you blink trying to clear your blurry vision. once you did, you see all the effort and preparation put in all of this.

flower petals are thrown everywhere, fairy lights decorating the tree, to wrap it all up love songs softly playing in the background.

he's always been the romantic type and he never fails to amaze you every time, you look at him with pure adoration in your eyes.

you start to panic holding his hands, “i-is it our anniversary?!” you stumble with your words, feeling terrible for forgetting such an important milestone.

junpei shakes his head, smiling at you, “i wanna give you something, darling” you nod and wait for him to continue.

“y/n, my love. you’ve been with me through everything, may it be a pleasant or bad memories, you're always there by my side. you’ve always come to pick me back up to my feet when i'm down..." he takes a deep breath.

he continues, "what i’m trying to say is… will you grow old with me?” junpei looks into your teary eyes, “i want to be by your side until my last breath, you’re my everything y/n” he opens the box and showing the ring.

“of course i would baby,” you hold his face and close the gap between the two of you, kissing him passionately.

after pulling away, he slide the ring on your ring finger. “this is just to seal our promise, you better fulfill them” he sniffs and chuckles at his shakiness.

you lightly hit his arm while laughing, “you know that i would” he kisses the back of your hand admiring the ring.

“this is beautiful darling, you’ve always been a sweetheart” you hold his hand and look around.

“i love you” you smiled at him, “i love you more” he pecks your lips, the group coming out from their hiding spot.

clinking of glasses echoes the room accompanied by loud cheers of best wishes. yuji swings his arm around junpei who's laughing with you not long ago.

“you remember junpei?” both of you look at yuji, a little lost with his sudden outburst. “when we helped you with your first proposal?” yuji’s words are slur as he continues to rant.

“ahh that does bring back memories,” you smile at the thought, you bring your hand up and look at the ring.

“and now look at you!” yuji starts getting emotional, the alcohol may have started to kick in. “two of my best friends will get married soon,” he sniffs, tears now running down his face.

nobara laughs at drunk yuji while maki scolds him for drinking too much, it’s amazing how the group stayed together throughout the years.

even after graduating, all of them, including you knowing how they grew fond of you, making sure to stay in contact.

junpei smiles in malice, he decides to add more on yuji’s emotional state, he pats yuji’s back as megumi assists him.

“go and have your rest, best man.” yuji looks at junpei with big puppy eyes, his brain processing the information before breaking out in tears.

“be-best man?!” toge laughs in the background holding two thumbs up while panda stops maki from pouncing on toge for fuelling on junpei’s actions.

the group is already in their twenties yet one thing that never changes is how chaotic it has always been.

they really did bring out the best of junpei, you remember how he finally opens up to them and how he warmed up to the second years during the kyoto goodwill event.

it was tough for junpei at first, his experience would be best described as how yuta was treated back in his 1st year.

but the big difference is that junpei has yuji, with yuji's persistent approach and friendliness they soon take a liking of junpei.

the group feels more like a family than a bunch of friends in junpei's eyes, well for all of you.

it's a little family who you can freely express yourself to. he especially got close to toge, they talked about movies, planned pranks on the other students, they’ve made really good memories alongside each other. thus, toge’s antics rubs off on him.

you giggle and look down at the rings, it’s beautiful seeing them together.

“daddd, i’m already grown up” your child whines at junpei who’s babying him, “no, you’re not” he denies as he fixes your child’s collar.

the two of you are now married and have a child together, “come on now dad, stop that” you tease junpei, siding with your child.

the kid flashes a big smile and runs to you, jumping in your arms sticking their tongue out at him.

junpei huffs, crossing his arms and faking to be upset. “guess you won’t get ice cream later,” his tone in a sing-song manner, knowing their weakness.

the kid gasps loudly and looks at him with the most betrayed expression, their little banter is soon interrupted by a greeting.

“junpei-sensei!” one of his students greets making you smile fondly at the sight, he’s really come a long way.

his students who've always looked up to him and respected him. they never miss a chance to greet him outside the school, junpei smiles at his students greeting them in return.

this is yoshino junpei’s simple life, married to his first love, a small family with them, a supportive group of friends he made through the years, and finally a job that he loves doing.

this all happened because of the one decision he made that changed everything for the path ahead of him.

all because he put his trust on his long time friend, itadori yuji.

1. DILF Sigma: THE prompt. Once I'd seen that, I just knew that I had to challenge myself into making it cute, humorous and sexy. Bringing out all four letters, you know. Because we all would love to feel those muscles, and there's no use lying to ourselves about it... Diana is one lucky gal~

And to illustrate the D(addy), I just had to use my headcanon again and throw in all the kids (the twins are the oldest, then comes Luna and Kyle and Left/Dio is the adopted one). What can I say? I just love them being happy!

2. SigDi: Unlike Junpei and Akane, we've never got to see Sigma proposing to Diana, and I'm here to fix this horrible mistake, because they absolutely deserve that.

How many times did he try to do it, only to find that one woman he loved forever more queitly slip through his fingers like the sand in the hourglass?

The first time was on the Moon, when he found her, her face kissed by the cruel light of the stars, her, like the rightful Queen of the Moon, already taking her rightful place and frolicking among them, something she couldn't do while bound to her frail form. She seemed to smile serenely at her lover, as if accepting his proposal as he placed the ring upon her marble-like finger, his tears shining brighter than the useless diamonds on the symbol of eternity.

The second time was during their hopeless wait for Akane to save the stranded couple and their yet-unborn twins at Dcom. As Sigma felt his strengh gradually slipping away from him, his burning desire to save the people closest to him made him survive, albeit barely, every day that he had to spend together with the woman that was now pregnant with his children. While still holding on to the last shreds of hope, he knew he couldn't her slip away like before, and, even though he couldn't ensure their survival, he could at least make amends for the last time. So while Diana was resting, he made use of whatever tools and materials there were and made her an engagement ring; a crude thing made of wire, aluminum and glass - he was no artist, but an engineer - it nonetheless shone brightly with his love for her. He found her sobbing in the shower in her nightgown, clutching to Phi's brooch, her hair in disarray, her face stained with tears. He helped her to her feet, caressed her face, took her hand gently, and placed the finger on it rightful place, trying his best to not let the extreme exhaustion show through his smile. Diana looked at him, surprised, tears of sadness gave way to tears of gratitude and joy. He promised her that they will see this through - they have had each other, after all...

The third time is the charm, Sigma thought. He still was no craftsman, but he still made his best effort at stitching the plush lion - Diana's favourite animal - that would play the key role on the Christmas night. Everything is going to be right since the entire incident with Dcom was over and they jumped over to a proper timeline. When the moment was right, he gently grabbed Diana's warm shoulder and presented her the silly plushie with the ring in its' mouth. As he watched her eyes light up with the realisation, gasping with excitement, he blinked away his tears of joy. This time, he knew that the third time is the charm.

(I am not a writer, so I hope thet you enjoy this little piece I made up to go with the artwork!)

3. Akane Girlbossing: Now this was an idea that I've wanted to draw for the longest time. Akane is, in a way, an all-seeing goddess, overseeing every single timeline and weaving those timelines together or cutting them short according to her own will. She would even be willing to cut that red string of fate - maybe even the poor Jumpy's life - short, as she searches for the perfect solution to her burning dilemmas. She may appear heartless and calculating; ready to stain those scissors with some blood, but that image is even more beneficial for her, as she can ensure that everyone, including her and Junpei, will have a happy ending that way... as the almighty goddess wills it.

So, there you have it! All three works were done traditionally (liners, alcohol markers, watercolors, acrylic and ink markers with post-processing in Clip Studio Paint).

I wish reksigh, the Zecret Santa mods, participants, and everyone in the fandom a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This year had been hectic, so here's to hoping that things will take a turn for the better in the upcoming year for everyone! Take care, stay safe and enjoy the festivities!

Jujutsu Kaisen ep 149 spoilers, analysis and maybe theories about what Gege is doing

In my opinion it wasn't a romantic kiss, was a CPR. She was unconscious and the kiss came after Mao hited her chest. Is a CPR move to me.

About incest in Jujutsu Kaisen

First i will like bring this post wich im agree with it. Write about incest or abuse is not wrong. What is wrong is romanticize. In my perspective incest is not romanticize in JJK.

Mei and Ui: Mei character is built as someone who has no values or etic at the point where she doesnt even understand it. She even says to Satoru that she does not understand any issue not related to money. She is also potrayed like someone who only cares for herself and we saw that when she ask Ui to sacrifice for her and quickly left Japan in Shibuya incident leaving everyone behind and taking only the money with her (and Ui who is more like a tool to her). It is clear that she has an abusive relationship with his brother. Ui is potrayed like someone who is absolute caught in Mei web. I think there is an effort to show this relantionship like something twisted, abusive and sick. So its clear to me that there is no intention from Gege to romanticize it.

Maki and Mai: first i have to say that kiss looked more like a CPR than a romantic kiss. But i going for the way where this kiss is a romantic kiss to express my point. If there is a romantic feeling between this two (wich i believe not), we have to understand it in the context of their shitty family. There is high chances that cousin x cousin marriage is happening inside the clan. This interfamily marriage are common in clans, dynasty, etc., to protect to blood line and all that shit. Main clans in Jujutsu society are very interested in keep their inherited technique so nobody would be surprised that they practice this type of incestuos marriage. The fact that they look alike so much in Zenin clan could point to this. So Maki and Mai grow up in a context where incest happen. Also the amount of physical and mental abuse in them and the fact that they only have each other to gain support could make this incest feeling possible. As they didn't grow up in a healthy environment and didn't have anyone to teach them about healthy feelings or even love in any form (their mother is totally caught in patriarchy). Again, there is an effort to show that all the problems that Toji, Maki and Mai have are because their shitty family. If incest is happening here is becaue this two girls never learned how to love in a healty way and they are confussed about their feelings. If May really kissed Maki is more like she doesnt know how to express herself because she grow up in abuse and there is no single healthy relationship in her family to look up.

Conclusion: incest is not romanticize in JJK. Maybe need to be portrayed more like a "trouble", maybe. But i think is enough portrayed like a trouble.

Mai's death: I know everyone is hurted because her death. But, lets be honest. We could see that comming. I predicted in my JJK Oracle serie but is not like im super smart or anything, is something we could see comming from how JJK story is build and the meaning of pass deaths in the manga.

"Mai deserve better": of course she did. But I dont think this story is about give what people deserve, is not about make justice for them. Real life and real world is extremly unfair. A story with any kind verisimilitude would potray unjustice.

"Gege is killing all his characters": In the same line of verisimilitude if some big events happen like shibuya incident we can not expect that everyone comeback alive. If all characters always comeback is more like a plot armor.

"Pointless dead" "Mai's arc wasted": All dead in JJK until now have a meaning and Mai's arc was this one from the start. Let try to figure out this.

In the story Maki is the main character, Mai (sorry to say) was auxiliary to her story. Mai is presented to develoment Maki story. To go deep in the patriarchal structures of Jujutsu world and to present the shitty dinamic of the Zenin clan from inside. Mai personal develoment was to understand that Maki actions wasnt the problem, but her all family itself. When the break point comes (Ougi desition to kill both) she realize that live peacefull in the clan dont depends on her obedience, it dependence in what the clan need from her from a moment to other. That there is no way to live peacefully in such an environment. That is when she can finally understand her sister action, reconcile with it and her, and support her sister road. Sadly she can only support with her death. But she doesnt die like subordinate person (like she was in pass episode or like her mother is) she die free, she is not simply killed, she gives her life in order to save her sister and destroy the clan. She emancipates at the end. Of course is sad that she has to die, but again, life is unfair and this story is not about make justice.

In jujutsu kaisen "death" works to build the living characters that go trought that lost.

Suguru -> Satoru

Junpei and Nanami -> Yuuji

Also, it establishes the situation where the characters are. Like Yaga's death wich leave the students in their own.

"Kill another female strong character": Well, i go for this one. There is no much female strong characters so Gege do something for gender equality and stop killing them.

In my opinion, and this is in some way a theory, what Gege is trying to do is reverse the typical shonen story.

He brought the typical elements from a shonen: a regular boy who discover that he is not so regular, lots of fights, power up, and even some kind of tournament (just to name a few one).

But at the same time Gege is slowly deconstructing the elements of shonen genre:

The hero is the strongest character and save everyones. We have Satoru is the strongest character and he fails to save people at the point when he realize that "save" dont depends on him. That is why he goes for the teaching/supporting role. Help others to save themselves. However situations keeps going in a way where he losses his closes people and he cant do anything to stop that.

So we can say this: in JJK heros cant save others.

In regular shonen the social structures are never questioned. In JJK we can see how those structures are the villain. We have the conservative structures of jujutsu society wich higher up keep against everything because their privilege depends on it. And the patriarcal structures. Even if JJK is stil away from being "feminist" is one step in the right direction from most regular shonen. Specially those shonen where the main female character is there just to be cute and she cant even speak her mind

We all feel like fell in some kind of trap in JJK. Because in firsts episodes we were like "oh, how cute and fun. look there is a speaking panda" and then we fell in angst. I think this is part of how Gege builds the story to reverse the genre.

Dont expect a happy ending, expect a end with meaning. Dont expect to see your fav getting what they deserve, expect to understand why they went through that.

And remember one thing: Yuuji death is not in discussion in the plot, what is in discussion is how he is going to live what he has left of live.

Favorite Thing About Them

He’s just so CARING- like I know his initial introduction and early game behavior makes it seem like he’s very battle focused and just wants that- but later in the game, especially if you’ve done his social link with FeMC you can see he REALLY cares about people. He isn’t the best at wording himself but his actions speak louder- protecting FeMC (even if you don’t go the romantic route), worrying about Ken even before he joins S.E.E.S, constantly worrying about Shinjiro and even MORE so when he finds out about the suppressants?? I hold Akihiko gently he needs some soup and a blanket

Least Favorite Thing About Them

I joke about the protein stuff with my friends but it honestly bugs me so much from a story perspective- fandom latches onto ONE THING and makes that the entire character’s personality I hate that aND ITS WORSE THAT ATLUS DID IT THEMSELVES TO AKIHIKO. One offhand comment. ONE. This man’s career was ruined. P4A/P4AU gets a pass (in some cases) because of “plot” but RARARARARRARARARARARARARA

Favorite Line

Literally can’t think of anything off the top of my head- but I like the whole scene where he’s mourning Shinjiro and he awakens to Caesar. Makes Me Cry

HONESTLY ANYONE IN S.E.E.S- Especially Junpei and Yukari. He’s a great Senpai but I think those two would distract him from other stuff and take him out to like. The movies or places to eat that AREN’T Hagekure. Obvs Mitsuru is his go to for Deep Shit though. The Senpai Squad is just Very Good yes yes

Additionally I like Minato/Akihiko brOTP. They’re cute as a couple but I think Aki being able to talk without someone interrupting him and then being offered (often questionable but sometimes good) advice is Great

not me drawing and interpreting proper astrological birth charts for the jjk main trio now that the official fan book finally gave us their birthplace in addition to their birthday 👀

Explanation under the cut! (edited to be more beginner friendly)

Quick disclaimer ig: this is just my personal interpretation of these placements. If you read the way I describe something and you think to yourself “hang on, I have this placement and this doesn’t sound like me at all” that would be because a) I am an amateur astrologer and I do this for fun, I don’t know everything about every sign/planet, and b) no placement exists in isolation - it’s influenced by the house it’s in as well as any other planets aspecting it - so it’s possible that the placement manifests in a less conventional/standard way due you because of such factors.

EDIT: my first draft of this post was not super beginner friendly so here’s a quick astrology 101 to help people understand wtf I’m talking about. Skip to the next photo if you don’t need a primer.

Everyone has ten main planets in their birth chart, each of those planets will fall under a different sign depending on when and where you were born. The planet governs an area of your personality, the sign shows what that area of your personality is like. Some quick definitions of the relevant planets for this post:

Sun: the one everyone thinks of when asked ‘what’s your star sign’. Your basic personality, your core, your ego.

Moon: symbolises emotion, intuition, your private internal world, and how feelings are expressed.

Mercury: symbolises communication, intellectual reasoning, and how you learn.

Venus: symbolises romance, aesthetics, how you socialize, and pleasure-seeking behaviours like shopping or sightseeing.

Mars: the source of your passion/drive/motivation. Symbolises where and how you expend your energy.

Retrograde: not a planet, just something the planets do sometimes. At some points in the year the planets look like they’re moving ‘backwards’ through the sky, and this alters their influence on the birth chart.

I think that’s probably enough but shoot me an ask if you’re curious/confused! I’m always happy to talk astrology (clearly lol)

Megumi... I always suspected he had scorpio influence somewhere in his chart and turns out I was right!! Not only scorpio venus but scorpio mars too?? I’m obsessed with this. Scorpio is a water sign (read: big on emotions), the embodiment of the phrase ‘still waters run deep’, and though scorpio placements are not always loud about their affection they tend to bond in a pretty intense way with their chosen people. Those venus and mars placements together really do speak of ride or die devotion - no wonder he’s Like That when it comes to Yuuji people he cares about.

His jupiter and saturn are both in retrograde; I would not have predicted it because I don’t think about natal retrograde all that much, but it actually makes a lot of sense imo. Retrograde jupiter usually indicates someone who is internally very philosophical in the sense that the person will define their own firm moral/ethical code instead of following a familial or societal belief system, which is pretty much megumi ‘I save people according to my own conscience’ fushiguro in a nutshell. While retrograde saturn is basically like. On the outside you’re stoic but on the inside you’re a worrywart, and you take responsibility Super Seriously but you also don’t like people with authority pushing you around needlessly. Which is also megumi in a nutshell lol.

His leo moon was a surprise but I honestly think it works for him because this is definitely where Unhinged Feral Megumi comes from: when he decides to go all out he gets such a flair for the dramatic. capricorn sun and capricorn mercury are pretty intuitive tbh, he really gives off capricorn vibes - practical, reserved, loyal, ambitious and tenacious, possessing a dry wit, capable of putting in steady hard work to get to where he wants to be.

I was already aware of Nobara’s leo sun because we’ve had their birth dates for a while now (birthplace is the new info which lets me draw the whole chart). But her cancer moon is such a lovely placement under that hard outer shell of hers. Nobara’s virgo mercury is actually kind of funny to me because while it indicates a natural gift for intellect and a talent for sorting out the fine details, it also has the potential to make someone a harsh critic who can nitpick and be quite blunt in stating their opinions... this is very Nobara, she does Not spare the feelings of anyone she is talking to lol.

Libra venus!! She has libra venus that’s so perfect!!! this placement is sophisticated and charming and always classy, these people adore that classic chocolates-and-roses romance but they turn love of all kinds into an art form. Traditionally the placement is also associated with people who care about beauty and harmony, who will go out of their way to look good for their companions. Also her leo mars... I love that. It’s really amplifying her bold outspoken flashy self-loving take-charge nature. Queen energy right here.

She has a bunch of natal retrogrades but the one I want to talk about is retrograde uranus... this one is Very fitting and again almost funny in the context of her character. You know how she’s always convinced she’s the only sane person in the room when actually she’s the unhinged one 24/7 and not self aware about that in the slightest? Yeah. That’s big retrograde uranus vibes.

Oh Yuuji... I could talk about your pisces sun all day 🥺 I could get Very technical and meta about the pisces association with the twelfth house and the fact that it’s ruled by neptune and what that says about his character, but I don’t have the room or the time so I’ll save that for another post. For now I’ll just say that the fact that he cares so deeply for others regardless of how well he knows them, the way he feels his feelings so intensely and is very intuituve/sensitive to others needs, him being interested in the occult before he ever found Sukuna’s fist finger, it all just seems more pisces to me than any other sign. And him having pisces mercury + pisces uranus in addition to his sun is also very sweet... our boy really thinks with his heart at all hours of the day doesn’t he?

His libra moon is such a fitting placement, too, because this moon is all about relationships - not just romance but bonds of all kinds, friends and family and companions of any sort. Yuuji as a character is so motivated by the bonds he shares with others and his desire to not be alone, especially on his deathbed. Libra moons are charming and personable and find it very easy to connect with others, they are deeply concerned with justice and will be accepting of everyone except for people who are cruel (exhibit a: just look how he responded to mahito). I think it’s a very apt moon for him to have.

Tbh if I were picking and choosing I might have loaded him up with yet more pisces energy and given him my favourite placement in the whole world, venus in pisces. But he actually has an aquarius venus and I think that’s so interesting! The part of this placement that speaks to his character for me is the way that aquarius venus love is defined by radical acceptance - there is never any judgement (I won’t judge you, Junpei!), because this venus seeks not only to see and understand but to be seen and understood in turn. Some say aquarius venus is an emotionally detached placement. I think that’s a mischaracterisation, but it is true that aquarius placements can be low key scared of intimacy and vulnerability even when they crave it lmao. All I can say about his capricorn mars is that it definitely embodies that determined protagonist vibe. Thoughts like ‘I want to get stronger, I want to be the best, I’ll put in the work to come out on top’ are very capricorn thoughts to have, and the drive and forward momentum associated with mars really push them to the front of his character. But also, again; an underdeveloped capricorn mars under stress will shut out possibilities for connection with loved ones by dedicating themselves to their job or cause. Akihiko Sanada x Yukari’s Brother! Male! Reader

Akihiko never ceased to amaze you. Somewhat stubborn at times, but passionate about whatever he put his mind to. Whether it was boxing or SEES, he always put his best foot forward. Even with you, he always tried his best, he was not the most affectionate person but eventually warmed up to hugs and small kisses.

The worst part of this however, was the hiding. It wasn’t that you thought your sister and the rest of SEES wouldn’t accept the relationship that you and Akihiko had. Yukari always told you that she wanted you to be happy, no matter what. That went for the rest of the group as well. It was just you and your own anxieties. No matter how many times you would persuade yourself that everything would work out just fine if the both of you came out, deep inside that pit of anxiety always held you back.

“You know,” Yukari said to you one day, “You seem to be spending a lot of time with Akihiko-senpai lately.”

“Oh, um, yeah. He’s been teaching me a few boxing things. It’s supposed to help me move faster in Tartarus.”

“Really? That’s nice of him. Well, you have been getting hurt more often. I guess I’ll have to thank him for looking out for you.”

You had let out a small sigh of relief. You weren’t exactly lying about Akihiko teaching you about boxing. Although most of your lessons turned into impromptu study dates.

“But don’t forget about me okay?” Yukari said with a small chuckle, snapping you out of your thoughts. “Hang out with your sister more. I feel like you’re a stranger sometimes.”

You gave her a small smile, “Yeah, I know. I’m sorry.”

The truth was that you could feel yourself slipping away from Yukari. You never realized it before, but now that you did, it only scared you more.

It was lunchtime at school and you and Akihiko were lying on the ground of the school’s roof, just looking up at the sky.

“Y/N.”

“Yeah, Aki?”

“I’ve been thinking...”

You wriggle out Akihiko’s grasp so the both of you can sit up. “What is it?”

“I think we should tell Yukari and the team about us.”

“You... you want to come out?”

He takes your hands in his. “We’ve been dating for a few months now. I just think that its time that we tell them.”

“But-”

“I know, you’re scared right?”

You nod, “Yeah.”

Akihiko chuckles, “Yeah, you’re not the only one.”

“You’re scared too?”

“Of course I am. But, if we do it together, I think I’ll be alright. What do you think?”

Your gaze meets Akihiko’s, he’s staring at you lovingly.

“As long as you’re there then... but, what if this drives Yukari further away from me? I haven’t spent much time with her as is.”

“It won’t. I promise. Yukari loves you, you’re her brother, she will always be there for you. In my opinion, us coming out would bring you two closer. And I would hope she can do what I couldn’t.” Akihiko says with a weak smile.

Letting go of Akihiko’s hands, you embrace him tightly. “Don’t say that, Aki. You were a great older brother to Miki.”

“Thank you, Y/N. Heh, you always seem to give me that bit of courage.”

“Right back at you.”

Your heart was beating like crazy. Within a few minutes, you and Akihiko were about to tell the team that you were dating. There was nothing wrong with that right?

Suddenly, the image of Yukari flashed through your mind. She was the only one you were truly worried about. Would she be okay with this? Would she support you? Would-

“Y/N? Are you okay? You look pale.”

Akihiko’s voice brings you back to reality as you give him a small smile. “Just nervous.”

“You can say that again. But it’ll be just fine, I can feel it.”

You nod in agreement. If anyone could give you just a bit of courage, it was Akihiko. Everything would be okay.

“Hey, everyone’s gathered downstairs. Minato said you guys had something to tell us?” Yukari asks popping her head into the stairway.

“Yeah, we’ll be right down.” You say as she gives a nod of acknowledgement and heads back downstairs. “You ready, Aki?”

“I’ve been waiting for this.”

The two of you walk downstairs, seeing everyone seated in the living room of the dorm.

“So, what did you want to tell us?” Mitsuru asks.

Everyone looks at you and Akihiko expectedly, waiting for the news you had to tell them.

You glance at Akihiko and he holds your hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. You look back at the group, taking a deep breath in before speaking. “Akihiko and I...are dating.”

A few seconds of silence pass as you and Akihiko wait for a response. And suddenly the silence breaks when your friends laugh and chuckle.

Mitsuru smiles when she sees the confusion on your faces, “My apologies. It’s just, we’ve all known that you were dating.”

“You knew?” Akihiko asks.

“Hell yeah we knew! You don’t think we saw the way you two looked at each other?” Junpei adds with a grin.

Fuuka and Ken smile sheepishly and Minato who usually had a blank expression, was smiling lightly.

“Congratulations.” Aigis says, a small smile on her face with her arms raised in the air as if to show excitement.

“You’re okay with this?” You ask Yukari as she walks up to you.

“Of course I am. I want you to be happy, no matter what. And besides, Akihiko-san is a good guy. I trust him.”

Tears well up in your eyes and you quickly wipe them away smiling. “Thank you, Yukari.”

Itwas pure coincidence. The kind that makes Aomine wonder how much he messed upfor you to actually agree to the divorce those four years ago. Did you evenintend to tell him the news?

A memory of you smiling at himresurfaces and Aomine curses under his breath, because it was that same momenthe told you about the divorce. The way happiness and all the love you had forhim left your eyes makes his heart ache. How much of an idiot he was back then.

But now he can’t do anything aboutit. Not when a stoic man stands beside you as you stare inside a childrenstore. There’s an obvious bump that Aomine can’t miss, but the boy, the boythe man holds in his arms, so painfully similar to all those pictures from hischildhood with his eyes, hair, the dark skin tell him more than any words evercould.

He sees the boy laugh at somethingthe man said and you smiling at them and his heart aches at the sight. You lookso happy and he’s jealous, because that could have been himbeside you. And the worst thing is he can recognize the man that has your wholeattention. It’s one and only Wakatoshi Ushijima, Schweiden Adlers’ wing spiker,the one that rose to his fame already in high school.

“I know I’m not perfect by a wholemile when it comes to us, but I’ll be the happiest man there ever is if you’llbe mine and I’ll do my best to not make you cry constantly.”

There are tears in your eyes andyou laugh before you fall on your knees and wrap arms around him. You nod yourhead and you continue to do so, chanting silent “yes” as Aomine slips a ring onyour left ring finger.

“I’m the luckiest man there is.” Hemurmurs into the crook of your neck before he pulls away and kisses you on thelips. You return it immediately, surrounding yourself into his warm embrace andinto the heat of the moment, feeling the happiest you could ever be.

Something stirs inside Aomine whenUshijima leans down and kisses you on the cheek. It makes you laugh and mostlikely shy as well, if that flustered expression on your face is anything totell him. It’s the way you smack Ushijima’s arm that makes Aomine’s head fillwith jealousy, because that could have been him. But it isn’t. Andhe has no one else to blame than himself.

Voices were raised and a picturewas thrown, hitting Aomine’s cheek. His eyes flashed in anger and yours widenedin shock and surprise because the next moment he stood in front of you, hisfist right beside your head.

“Stop pushing your luck.”

“I’m worried about you,Daiki!” you didn’t want to stand down, not when it came to his well being.“You’ve been at the station for the last couple of days, I barely see youanymore!”

“It’s my job, damn it! What do youwant me to do? Huh? What? Do you want me to leave our only income and remainjobless like you are?”

The words spoken made your lipspart, but unable to say anything. You blinked with your eyes, trying hard tostop the sudden emotions that overwhelmed you, Aomine too blinded by his angerto see what he had said.

“You know I can’t find a job yet.Not with my diploma.”

“Then find something. Retailwork, for all I care.” He groans and goes with hand through his hair. “Or goback home.”

You scowled. “Screw you, Daiki.”You turned and walked into the bedroom, slamming the door behind.

Aomine stared at you before hegrabbed the lamp close to him and threw it against the wall.

Turning at the sound of a familiarvoice, Aomine spots Kuroko and Kise walking towards him. They’re talking toeach other, or what it seems like until Kuroko spots Aomine’s sullenexpression. He raises an eyebrow and it catches Kise’s attention as well,because suddenly he’s bombed with questions for his well-being.

“’m fine…” he grunts andunconsciously looks your way only to spot you staring at him.

Your eyes are wide, like you’resurprised to see him before you turn to Ushijima and tell him something. Itmust have been regarding him, Aomine realizes, because Ushijima is also lookingat him, frown quite visible on that stoic expression and Aomine wants to leave.But he can’t. Because Maji burger just happens to be right behind him.

“Oh…” It’s Kise who murmurs. “Whydon’t we go ahead, Kurokocchi?”

“We’ll be inside, Aomine-kun.”

All Aomine can do is nod as hewatches you cross the street in a rather quick pace. Ushijima is standingthere, across the street, his attention completely on you, until you stand infront of him. A chill runs down Aomine’s spine at the attention he’s gettingfrom the man, but it’s expected when it comes to your safety.

“Hi,” Your voice is quiet, almostwhisper-like, and Aomine finds it hard to suppress the need to hold you in hisarms right at this moment.

Your sobs reached his ears andAomine sighed. He leaned his forehead on the door, biting his lower as hewondered what to say. Then again is it his right to apologize?

“[Name]…” he called your name.

“Go away.” Your voice is cold andAomine sighed again. “I don’t wanna see you.”

“Come out. Let’s talk.”

There’s silence before the doorbursts open, startling him. Tears stained your cheeks, your glare neversubsiding as you held a suitcase behind yourself.

“What are you doing?” he frowned asyou pushed past him.

“Leaving, what else.” Short answersthat made his heart ache.

“No, wait, you-you can’t leavenow.” He grabbed your wrist, but you snatched it from his grip. “It’s lateand-and you don’t have a place to go to.”

You scoffed, shaking your head.“Three years, Daiki.” Your voice was too cold. “Three years of our marriage andyou ask for a divorce. Ten years of us being together and you want us toseparate. What did I ever do wrong? Can you tell me that? Was it because I wasworried about your wellbeing when you overworked like in Teiko and Tōō? Or wasit because I’m jobless?”

Every word you spoke felt likesomeone was cutting him alive. He was unable to answer, to tell you and youtook the chance to walk to the hallway, sniffling.

“P-please…” he stuttered when youreached for the doorknob. “Don’t go.”

You hesitated and looked back athim. “I can’t do this, Daiki.” You released the suitcase like you remembered itonly then that you still had it. Taking off the ring, you placed it on thecloset beside the entrance, tears streaming down your cheeks. “I tried. I reallydid try. But I can’t help you if you continue to destroy yourself like yourhealth and I mean nothing to you.”

“I’m sorry.” Aomine blurts outbefore you can say another word.

Your eyes widen, but the expressionquickly softens and a small smile spreads across your lips. You shake yourhead, looking directly into his eyes. “There’s nothing to apologize for. Wewere young. We didn’t know what we were doing.”

“But I still love you” is whatAomine wants to say, but he knows he can’t. Instead he looks across the streetand sees Ushijima talking to the boy and pointing at something in the store.It’s a small pink dress he realizes and his heart misses a beat. A baby girl.

“When…” he starts, but stops. Heclears his throat, feeling eyes from inside the Maji burger and he has a suddenneed to leave. He feels like suffocating the longer he stares at the boy. “Whendid you find out?” he chokes on the words.

Your silence is too much for him.“The day you asked for divorce.”

“Shit…” he curses and goes withhand through his hair.

There’s a silent laugh and he looksat you. “I can’t say I was angry and devastated, but I can’t deny I feel gladyou feel bad about it.” Your smile doesn’t reach your eyes and Aomine wants tosnap, because how the fuck could he mess up like that. He had everything and he ruined it.

“I’m sorry.” Is all he can say, andthen; “I know you’re with … Ushijima, but if I can, I want to support you.”

You watch him in silence before youanswer; “He knows the truth.” At that his eyes widen. “I thought about it longand hard, both alone and with Toshi and we decided to tell him. You don’t haveto support us, I have a job with good-income—I can also work from home—andJunpei is a good child. He can’t wait to meet his baby sister.” You smile andcaress your stomach as you look down fondly.

There’s a moment of silence beforeyou look back at him.

“Although he thinks of Toshi as hisfather, I hope that when he’s older, and if he wants to meet you, you won’tdeny his request. That’s all I ask of you.” Your voice is almost pleading andAomine can’t find himself to deny that request.

“I-I’ll try.” he says instead andyou smile. The same smile you used to give him years ago.

“[Name],” A voice calls from acrossthe street and you turn only for your smile to widen. Junpei is calling for youas well and waving while Ushijima’s expression is that of a fond partner andfather.

“I’m coming!” You call back andthen you turn back to Aomine. “Thank you, Daiki.” Your voice is so soft, sokind that it makes his heart skip a beat and eyes burn from a sudden wave ofemotions.

“There’s nothing to thank me for.”

“There is.” You nod, disagreeingwith him. “Contact me when you’re ready to be part of his life. I know Junpeiwould like that very much. So does Toshi.”

Aomine chuckles and shakes hishead. “Does he really?” he asks and looks at Ushijima, who’s staring at youboth. “Does he really want me to be part of his life?” he looks at you and seespain flash through your eyes. He curses silently for causing you to make thatsame expression.

“Daiki,” you call quietly and reachfor his hand. “I loved you so much. It broke me when I saw you overwork both inschool and at work. When you spent nights at the station, I was at the end ofmy nerves, hoping and praying for you to be safe wherever you are, thinkingthat maybe there’s another case that held you back. When I found out I waspregnant, I was so happy, because suddenly our family grew.” You’re smiling atthe memory only for it to disappear.

And Aomine doesn’t need to guesswhat you remember.

“And then you come home and ask fora divorce. I spent so many days and nights crying and thinking that I must havedone something wrong or that you fell out with me and it hurt. It hurt so muchto realize that I meant nothing to you anymore. I had no idea what to do. Iwanted to ask Satsuki, Tetsuya, anyone for some clue or something, but I couldn’t. Icouldn’t involve them when this was between us. You’ve been so cold to me inthat week and I’m still wondering if it was me after all this time.”

“No,” Aomine shakes his head andcups your face. He closes his eyes and sighs, leaning his forehead on yours.“It was never you, believe me on that. I truly am sorryfor what I did to you and I have no excuse. If he makes you happy, then that isall I wish for you.”

Releasing your face, he smiles onlyto spot tears in your eyes. He internally panics, but then you chuckle andshake your head.

“You constantly make me worry.” Yousigh. “Even after all this time.”

“I’ll try not to.” This time hegrins and messes your hair that makes you grimace. “I want to be part ofJunpei’s life if that is his wish.” He says after a moment, his composure justa bit straighter. I want to bepart of yours as well. He wantsto say only for; “If Ushiwaka makes you cry, tell me. I’ll beat his ass.” toleave his lips.

You roll your eyes, laughing.“Can’t believe you’re calling him like that as well.”

Ushijima calls your name once more.You nod his way and before Aomine can say a word, you’re pulling him in a tightembrace.

“Thank you, Daiki.”

He’s speechless and all he can dois watch you cross the street. He sees Ushijima talk to you, must have askedyou something, because you’re smiling so wide and shaking your head beforeyou’re leaning closer to Junpei and kissing his forehead. Jealousy grows insideAomine at the sight of seeing Ushijima smiling at you two, but there’s nothinghe can do.

He can only wish for yourhappiness, although a part of him wishes for you to run back into his embrace.
