I swear if kota tweets ONE MORE unhinged teasing-golden-lovers-reuniting tweet I'm going to walk into the ocean
I'll be honest... when I first read this ask, I was like "calm down, Anon, we have a long road ahead."
I read those tweets soon after he tweeted them, and I was just [scruffy ben affleck with cigarette], because, sure, it's a nice thought, but we have no way of knowing how long it'll take, or what kind of absolute horseshit he/they/we will have to endure in the interim.
Like! Remember! Forbidden Door! Remember how, when it was first announced, we were in a place where it actually would have been a little weird if they didn't do something with the Golden Lovers for that show? And then by the time it arrived they were both injured and Omega was talking in interviews about how awful he felt physically and spiritually, and Ibushi was trying to ragequit his NJPW contract?
BUT! ANON! I am NOT saying ‘there is no reason to hope anything nice like that will happen, and you should be sad about wrestling like I am.’ Because you're right! Ibushi tweeting about a Golden Lovers reunion like it's just a thing that's obviously going to happen in the next few months is indeed a reason to get cautiously hype! I’m not going to, but only because I’m already at my personal ideal level of cautiously hype (which, because of the above bullshit and so much more, is admittedly low).
My initial response up there? Is totally based on the absolute assumption—that I at this point have taken for granted—that it IS going to happen. Ibushi's tweets will continue to be unhinged, and more importantly, the Golden Lovers will reunite, eventually! The reason Ibushi is tweeting about it like that (aside from the fact that he has chosen to stop giving a shit about most things, very much including kayfabe) is that it's a matter of when not if.
Nothing is ever certain in life, and I can think of a few things that could stop it from happening, but they’re all catastrophic and (hopefully) pretty unlikely. It’s gonna happen! Whether it will be soon, or satisfying, or which wrestling promotion(s) (if any?) will be involved, is more uncertain. We can assume they have a little more control over the story than they have in the past, but last time it took years for stuff to come together in a way they were cool with.
But this thing is so important to both of them, and they are so important to each other. Like the Golden Lovers story is so important to them that they kept their irl (little-r) relationship a secret, even backstage at shows, for like 5 years, for the sake of kayfabe. They’ve both made career decisions with each other and the Golden Lovers as a big factor. Kenny has made that story the narrative frame for his entire career, and while Kota is less of an architect about stuff, the Golden Lovers has been his home base—he even made sure to keep Golden-Lovers-ing when he was considering going to WWE. I mean, like... almost all of their gear has references to the other! They care! If they both retired tomorrow, they’d find a way to tie it all up.
I guess what I’m saying is, yeah, I’m a little jaded; I can see ample places where there could be hella bullshit to endure. So! Please protect your feelings, sweet Anon, and stay away from the ocean! But also I am taking a moment to appreciate that we don't have to worry about whether it will happen, because there is some good in the world still, and the Golden Lovers actually big love each other irl.
That's a lot of trust to put in performers of media that you really care about, and especially in pro wrestlers. I still feel [ben affleck smoking while suffering] when i think about what might be between now and whenever they reunite, but I am also incredibly grateful that they’ve made it so clear for so long that as much as fans care about this story continuing, they care more!

Microsoft Publisher 2013 for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
Microsoft publisher app is frequently confused with Microsoft word. The publisher app is mostly used for page design and page layouts, rather than text documents and proofreading. More crucially, this is intended to assist small company owners rather than home users. Purchasing a more expensive desktop publishing package may be out of reach for such businesses. Furthermore, many businesses may lack basic desktop publishing skills. So, to assist them, Microsoft publisher 2013 was introduced. It is not present in the Microsoft office product utilities.
 A versatile bundle
If you have office professional 2013 or office 365, you can also subscribe to Microsoft publisher 2013. When you use Microsoft publisher 2013, you can create publications fast, print them, and share them online. Professional-looking publications may be generated yourself. There are templates easily available for this purpose. All of these templates may be customized to your specifications. These ready-made templates are included with the Microsoft office publisher 2013 bundle. You will also receive greeting cards, labels, and brochures. There are also photo albums, invites, and flyers.
 Easy to organize events
So, for a small business, organizing events, announcing events, prizes, and advertising will be much easier. It is simple to make stickers and bookmarks with publisher 2013. The main advantage of utilizing Microsoft publisher 2013 over other desktop publishing software applications or other types is that you can accomplish the process more quickly. This implies you don't have to be a graphic design specialist.
 Aligning to perfection
You may utilize the software to make some wonderful apps if you are a little inventive. Blending text and graphics is easier with the alignment future. The way the graphics and texts will line up on the page is going to be determined using this alignment future. This is the key that is going to be supportive for you to create attractive pages. To get all your contacts in one spot, use Microsoft Outlook 2013.
This function may be used to create an order and group things as well as arrange them. Each page element can be aligned vertically, horizontally, or with text and objects from the top, left bottom, or right sides. Another crucial aspect is equilibrium. This will be an extra feature to uniformly disperse the components. This is how the items are arranged equally over the page. If a single part has a large number of images, the section will appear congested. If everything is lined up on one side of the page and none on the other, the imbalance will be visible. This has an impact on aesthetic attractiveness. This is why the balancing future is used to equally divide the page items.
 Make crisp pages
If a page is to appear attractive while also making it simple to read the text, it should include a lot of white space. So, in the higher versions, there will be a feature called white space adjustment that will allow you to simply build a flawless layout and design. This will allow you to construct pages that are not jammed with content and images, which would otherwise resemble a traffic jam. Similarly, the contrast and proximity characteristics will help you build neat publications, appealingly. Repetition, consistency, and unity are also beneficial. This allows you to create better brochures and newsletters. Moreover, if you want data loss prevention and better security standards then Microsoft office 2016 professional plus could be ideal.

#Cannot connect my outlook 2016 to exchange 2013 manual
The same message appears when I try any other name or IP address that points to this same local server including localhost and the server's name and the server's IP address in 192.168.0.0/24. This happens regardless of whether I use the Exchange server's name ("exchange") or its (fixed) IP address or "localhost" or 127.0.0.1.Īfter that error message, this small window appears with a slightly different error message.įor some reason Outlook cannot "resolve" the name 127.0.0.1. Online or connected to complete this action. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Incompatible or faulty Outlook add-ins may prevent or disrupt Outlook connection with the Exchange server. If you still see the same error message and Outlook cannot connect to the server, follow the next method. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action. Then check the internet connection and start Outlook. After restarted outlook i getting a message saying: 'The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. The necessary server settings to establish MapiHttp connections are correctly configured. I just installed and get everything to work with my new Exchange 2016 server, but when i adding it to Outlook 2013 i autodiscover setup works and it says restart outlook. Now the network adapter has a default gateway and Outlook continues to pretend that it cannot find the Exchange server. The Exchange mailbox and Client Access (CAS) servers that you're connecting to all have Exchange Server 2013 SP1 or a later version installed or Exchange Server 2016. Outlook first refused to connect because the network adapter didn't have a default gateway and apparently Outlook requires a default gateway to connect to 127.0.0.1.
#Cannot connect my outlook 2016 to exchange 2013 manual
Outlook 2016 doesnt support manual setup for Exchange accounts. I am having problem connecting to our Exchange 2013 from Outlook 2016 application running on external PC (outside LAN) or internal PC but not joined to Domain using auto-discovery. Outlook 2016 profile cannot be created with Outlook profile helper tool or Single Sign-On tool. Outlook 2016 error message with Exchange 2007 mailbox: The resource that you are trying to use is located on an unsupported version of Microsoft Exchange. A special DNS record must be configured for your domain in order for you to take advantage of the Outlook 2016. Existing accounts should work regardless. I believe this is just for new accounts though. It needs to be set up on the Exchange side (AutoDiscover Service). The Outlook installation is just for testing mailboxes. Outlook 2016 can only connect to Exchange using AutoDiscover feature. Outlook 2016 uses autodiscover to connect to an Exchange server and I dont think you can set it up without. An Outlook 2016 mail profile cannot be created with the Outlook profile helper tool. I have an Exchange Server 2013 and I am trying to connect using Outlook 2010. Outlook 2016 can only connect to Exchange / Office 365 using the AutoDiscover feature as such, you will need to ensure the AutoDiscover DNS record is configured - for your domain, in order for Outlook 2016 to connect.

The jury cleared Goldman Sachs of all charges.
#Outlook 2013 commands in dragon naturallyspeaking 12 trial#
The Bakers sued Goldman Sachs for negligence, intentional misrepresentation and breach of fiduciary duty, which in January 2013 led to a 23-day trial in Boston. The Bakers had received stock worth hundreds of millions of US dollars, but were only able to sell a few million dollars' worth before the stock lost all its value as a result of the accounting fraud. The deal was not originally supposed to be all stock and the unavailability of the Goldman Sachs team to advise concerning the change in terms was one of the grounds of the Bakers' subsequent lawsuit. Following the all-share deal advised by Goldman Sachs, Lernout & Hauspie declared bankruptcy in November 2000. The company was then purchased in June 2000 by Lernout & Hauspie, a Belgium-based corporation that was subsequently found to have been perpetrating financial fraud. Gould also designed the tutorials in both DragonDictate for DOS version 2.0 and Dragon Talk. Gould was the principal architect and lead engineer for the development of Dragon NaturallyOrganized (1.0), Dragon NaturallySpeaking Mobile Organizer (3.52), Dragon NaturallySpeaking (1.0 through 2.02), and DragonDictate for Windows (1.0). Joel Gould was the director of emerging technologies at Dragon Systems. ĭragon Systems released NaturallySpeaking 1.0 as their first continuous dictation product in 1997. DragonDictate was based on a trigram model, and is known as a discrete utterance speech recognition engine. Users were forced to enunciate one word at a time, clearly separated by a small pause after each word. At the time, the hardware was not powerful enough to address the problem of word segmentation, and DragonDictate was unable to determine the boundaries of words during continuous speech input. He was President of the company and she was CEO.ĭragonDictate was first released for DOS, and utilized hidden Markov models, a probabilistic method for temporal pattern recognition. Baker, his wife, founded Dragon Systems to release products centered around their voice recognition prototype. James Baker laid out the description of a speech understanding system called DRAGON in 1975.
#Outlook 2013 commands in dragon naturallyspeaking 12 professional#
The Professional version allows creation of custom commands to control programs or functions not built into NaturallySpeaking.ĭr. Voice profiles can be accessed by different computers in a networked environment, although the audio hardware and configuration must be identical to those of the machine generating the configuration.
#Outlook 2013 commands in dragon naturallyspeaking 12 software#
(Dragon does not support dictating to background windows.) The software has three primary areas of functionality: voice recognition in dictation with speech transcribed as written text, recognition of spoken commands, and text-to-speech: speaking text content of a document. As an example, dictated words appear in a floating tooltip as they are spoken (though there is an option to suppress this display to increase speed), and when the speaker pauses, the program transcribes the words into the active window at the location of the cursor. Dragon NaturallySpeaking uses a minimal user interface.

ever wonder why spotify/discord/teams desktop apps kind of suck?
i don't do a lot of long form posts but. I realized that so many people aren't aware that a lot of the enshittification of using computers in the past decade or so has a lot to do with embedded webapps becoming so frequently used instead of creating native programs. and boy do i have some thoughts about this.
for those who are not blessed/cursed with computers knowledge Basically most (graphical) programs used to be native programs (ever since we started widely using a graphical interface instead of just a text-based terminal). these are apps that feel like when you open up the settings on your computer, and one of the factors that make windows and mac programs look different (bc they use a different design language!) this was the standard for a long long time - your emails were served to you in a special email application like thunderbird or outlook, your documents were processed in something like microsoft word (again. On your own computer!). same goes for calendars, calculators, spreadsheets, and a whole bunch more - crucially, your computer didn't depend on the internet to do basic things, but being connected to the web was very much an appreciated luxury!
that leads us to the eventual rise of webapps that we are all so painfully familiar with today - gmail dot com/outlook, google docs, google/microsoft calendar, and so on. as html/css/js technology grew beyond just displaying text images and such, it became clear that it could be a lot more convenient to just run programs on some server somewhere, and serve the front end on a web interface for anyone to use. this is really very convenient!!!! it Also means a huge concentration of power (notice how suddenly google is one company providing you the SERVICE) - you're renting instead of owning. which means google is your landlord - the services you use every day are first and foremost means of hitting the year over year profit quota. its a pretty sweet deal to have a free email account in exchange for ads! email accounts used to be paid (simply because the provider had to store your emails somewhere. which takes up storage space which is physical hard drives), but now the standard as of hotmail/yahoo/gmail is to just provide a free service and shove ads in as much as you need to.
webapps can do a lot of things, but they didn't immediately replace software like skype or code editors or music players - software that requires more heavy system interaction or snappy audio/visual responses. in 2013, the electron framework came out - a way of packaging up a bundle of html/css/js into a neat little crossplatform application that could be downloaded and run like any other native application. there were significant upsides to this - web developers could suddenly use their webapp skills to build desktop applications that ran on any computer as long as it could support chrome*! the first applications to be built on electron were the late code editor atom (rest in peace), but soon a whole lot of companies took note! some notable contemporary applications that use electron, or a similar webapp-embedded-in-a-little-chrome as a base are:
microsoft teams
notion
vscode
discord
spotify
anyone! who has paid even a little bit of attention to their computer - especially when using older/budget computers - know just how much having chrome open can slow down your computer (firefox as well to a lesser extent. because its just built better <3)
whenever you have one of these programs open on your computer, it's running in a one-tab chrome browser. there is a whole extra chrome open just to run your discord. if you have discord, spotify, and notion open all at once, along with chrome itself, that's four chromes. needless to say, this uses a LOT of resources to deliver applications that are often much less polished and less integrated with the rest of the operating system. it also means that if you have no internet connection, sometimes the apps straight up do not work, since much of them rely heavily on being connected to their servers, where the heavy lifting is done.
taking this idea to the very furthest is the concept of chromebooks - dinky little laptops that were created to only run a web browser and webapps - simply a vessel to access the google dot com mothership. they have gotten better at running offline android/linux applications, but often the $200 chromebooks that are bought in bulk have almost no processing power of their own - why would you even need it? you have everything you could possibly need in the warm embrace of google!
all in all the average person in the modern age, using computers in the mainstream way, owns very little of their means of computing.
i started this post as a rant about the electron/webapp framework because i think that it sucks and it displaces proper programs. and now ive swiveled into getting pissed off at software services which is in honestly the core issue. and i think things can be better!!!!!!!!!!! but to think about better computing culture one has to imagine living outside of capitalism.
i'm not the one to try to explain permacomputing specifically because there's already wonderful literature ^ but if anything here interested you, read this!!!!!!!!!! there is a beautiful world where computers live for decades and do less but do it well. and you just own it. come frolic with me Okay ? :]
*when i say chrome i technically mean chromium. but functionally it's same thing

Hey I was wondering since you are very familiar with superhero comics/media and I am not: I remember reading on TVTropes about how there was some comic arc where Superman is basically forced to kill the Joker/does it under extremely understandable circumstances, but then immediately jumps off the slippery slope and becomes a horrible mass murderer. SO, I was wondering if Amy in Worm is a commentary/take on this, on what kind of warped understanding of morality taught by someone's family environment would one have to have to actually believe breaking one's principles once while being forced to by a serial killer would make you into an irredeemable villain forever, and what kind of trauma and warped understanding would you have to have for that to actually be TRUE and for you to actually do horrible things afterward. Emphasizing that that kind of moral arc is not how normal humans work and there would have to be very unusual circumstances for it to happen. But since I don't know about superhero comics I can't really elaborate on this, so I wonder what you think of the idea.
So the specific arc you're talking about was Injustice: Gods Among Us, and the tie-in comics produced as a backstory for that video game- which came out in 2013 onward, so the times don't line up for Amy to be a commentary on that arc specifically. In particular, Superman has basically the exact opposite issue that Amy does; he killed Joker because he murdered an entire city, and he justifies his subsequent slide towards tyranny on the grounds that he wasn't being proactive enough to stop things like that beforehand. Kind of a common refrain in "Superman loses it" stories- refer in particular to the "I did love being a hero. But if this is where it leads, I'm done with it" scene from the Justice Lords arc of the old Justice League cartoon. (Batman is occasionally painted as having a "murder-is-like-potato-chips" problem, refraining from killing because he wouldn't be able to stop. Depends on the writer, though.) What Amy absolutely is commenting on is what I think was a very pervasive idea in cape comics in the years when Worm was being formulated- the idea of the hero/villain binary as a real and meaningful thing, two meaningful categories of people which you can switch between as a discreet and meaningful action. Black Knight, Hawkeye, Rogue- all superheroes who started as supervillains, two distinct statuses which they held. Characters like Deadpool and Harley Quinn start as villains and drift towards a third-position antiheroic middle-ground that's treated as noteworthy for not really falling into either camp- in turn sort of generating what basically amounts to a third cluster, a coherent trinary. (A lot of 90s anti-heroes reifying the binary in how they're marketed as violating it.) Not actually many heroes I can think of who've gone full villain and had that stick, but definitely heroes who've flipped for a time in a meaningful way- Hal Jordan becoming Parallax sticks in my head. And at least since the 80s you've had writers making post-modern gags about powered people who opt out entirely and have day jobs using their powers for something mundane. (The X-Men are all over the place in here.) And subdued but gradually swelling in popularity is where Worm lands- the idea that what you're actually looking at here is a mob of agents, with their own granular agendas, alliances, outlooks, lines in the sand, and relationship to the law-as-written- that when a hero starts acting villainous or a villain does something heroic, when they approach a fifty-fifty split without actually changing their label, it's an indictment of the idea you can actually broadly group them so neatly in the first place. And there's a lot of clunky dialogue in parts of Worm where characters are treating the hero/villain binary as a real tangible thing- "hero behavior, villain behavior-" in a way that seems hilariously naïve and awkward from where I'm sitting in 2023, and indeed was probably kind of a no-duh moment even in 2011. Anti-heroes had been around for a while. But I do think that those sequences were written in conversation with an assumption about the genre that wasn't totally dead in the water at the time, an assumption that Amy holds as a way of showing how treating the categories as innate will drive you nuts when they fail to model reality. I genuinely believe that the MCU and DCEU have killed this binary dead in the general consciousness, though. These days a "superhero" is whoever the protagonist of the movie is, and the idea that that can encompass a whole range of moralities is pretty strongly cemented. A supervillain is whoever fights the star of the movie once and then dies. It's whoever is creating a problem right that second, not a social role you hold for a prolonged period. In this way and some others, Worm hasn't been commenting on the dominant paradigm of superheroism in some time- it's becoming kind of a period piece.

@springonmytraptillicomeback
on it boss jeremike headcanons weeeee
After Evan's death, Michael was more or less a complete social outcast in high school. Abandoned by those he formerly called friends, eating lunch alone. Of course, he understood that it was well deserved after ruminating on it with a fresh outlook. However, Jeremy saw an emo boy in need of fixing (/hj) and did just that.
It was Jeremy's idea to color Michael's hair red. Quite the first introduction to Mrs. Afton.
After the bite, Jeremy consequentially lost a lot of his fine motor control function, which made writing, holding things, and even eating difficult. But the human body is swag as fuck and if one part of the brain is damaged, it can literally remap those neural pathways to another part of the brain.
Of course, this takes as little as a few months to even years to fully complete.
In the meantime, Michael helped him with writing, drove him around, and whatever other difficulties he faced.
Modern day, while Jeremy will still never be back to 100%, he can manage most things without much difficulty save for things that require the utmost precision, like soldering.
While he didn't lose his right eye in the bite, it was completely useless, if not able to see just vague light and shadows, because even blind people still see something. Occasional flashes of light, nerves trying to connect. He would later get it removed and replace it with an interchangeable glass eye.
Jeremy drives a Subaru WRX. Because he's gay. (/ref) His car is kitted out with various mobility aids, like an altered shifter, steering, and hand controls for acceleration and brakes.
In the same vein, Michael still drives his deadbeat father's 1974 Challenger R/T (in Plum Crazy Purple, of course) and maintains it as well as its probably the only good thing his father ever did for him. It rides like a sled on a bed of rocks, so he much prefers to ride with Jeremy if possible.
Jeremy actually loves to cook and bake, blame it on the stoner brain, but damn if he doesn't know what's good. He actually shares these recipes between Henry and Adelaide, and they share theirs with him. Gotta make sure her boy is getting treated well.
Conversely, Michael cannot cook. At all. DO NOT LET HIM COOK. This man can only make microwave meals.
They got married in 2013, right after gay marriage was first legalized in Utah (later rescinded then re-legalized).
After getting scooped, Jeremy happily returned the favor in helping Michael with his affliction. Dressing and redoing his sutures, helping him shower.
Even as Michael felt like a detriment to Jeremy ("I don't deserve you."), Jeremy would insist that there was no other place he'd rather be than to nurse his husband back to health.
I have a comic in the works about this, but because of Jeremy's free lobotomy, he doesn't really process fear the way others do, if at all. When he saw what had become of Michael after months of silence and hiding at Henry's house, his first reaction was something along the lines of "..... siiiiick."
Post scoop, Michael struggles with chronic fatigue and pain, leading him often to be unable to do his own hair properly because of how long he has to hold his arms up. Jeremy has no qualms with this because he absolutely loves doing people's hair.

First, not a Twitter refuge, thank you, been here since 2013. Second, I'm just tired of the rhetoric I keep seeing promoted of "don't play the first 3 God of War games they have a sex scenes!" Yeah, and it's not inappropriate for the stories they're emulating, plus they're optional. Nothing is really "of it's time" besides them pushing gore just because they could. It's ancient Greece, things are wild in ancient Greece and they're true to it. Maybe I overreacted and took out too much in that ask, but it's just a larger rhetoric I keep seeing.
Okay! I apologize for the assumption then! But you do understand that I wasn’t actually saying “don’t play them” yes? Someone asked me IF the new games were able to be understood without them, and by mentioning the “of its time” content I was more trying to illustrate how the new games were DESIGNED for newcomers by virtue of simply having an entirely different outlook on not only their game design but also writing style and emotional maturity, as 2018 was directed by a veteran of the series whose whole inspiration was the fact that he himself had grown and matured as a person and had a kid of his own. No one’s trying to slander the thing you care about, I promise, it’s fine to acknowledge that some might take different things away from the framing of certain subject matter from a video game made in 2005.

"I first met Tokitae (also known as Toki, Lolita and Sk’aliCh’elh-tenaut), a female orca who had been captured off the coast of Washington, in 1987. I was a biology graduate student at my first professional conference, and the scientific society hosting this event held the opening reception at the Seaquarium.
Toki was 20 feet long and 7,000 pounds, and should have been in the Salish Sea traveling 40 miles a day and diving 500 feet deep with her mother and siblings. Yet there we were, a few hundred marine mammal scientists who mostly did field research, watching this magnificent being perform silly tricks in a bathtub.
That’s not really an exaggeration in Toki’s case. Toki’s tank was the smallest enclosure in the world for her species. It was only 35 feet at its widest point and 80 feet long. It was 20 feet at its deepest; if Toki hung vertically in the water, her tail flukes touched bottom. Captured in 1970 when she was 4 or 5 years old, she lived in this tiny space for 53 years.
The federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA), administered by the US Department of Agriculture, has a ludicrous requirement for tank width — only twice the length of an average adult orca (or 48 feet). But Toki’s tank didn’t even meet that weak standard. For years, the USDA offered various excuses for not taking steps to revoke the exhibitor’s license. None of them made sense, as the tank was plainly not to code. Activists repeatedly tried to sue the USDA for failing to enforce the law, without success.
Toki’s was a strange, lonely life. Despite many campaigns to repatriate her to her family (the L pod in Puget Sound), years passed. The stadium around her slowly and literally crumbled.
The ‘Blackfish’ Effect,” named after the 2013 documentary that eventually reached tens of millions of people globally, has shifted the captive cetacean paradigm in the past decade. Businesses have severed ties with marine theme parks, and policymakers have passed laws ending the commercial display of orcas and other cetacean species. SeaWorld, the company that built its brand on Shamu, is phasing out orca display — no longer capturing, breeding or trading them.
And still Toki languished in the South Florida heat. The Seaquarium’s two owners during Toki’s first 52 years there were adamant that she would never leave the park and disdainfully dismissed talk of returning her to her family.
In March 2022, however, Toki’s outlook finally seemed brighter. The Seaquarium was sold to a company whose business model relied primarily on swim-with-dolphin encounters. An orca didn’t fit that model, and these owners were willing to let her go. Efforts could finally begin in earnest to return her home. The Lummi Tribe, who gave her the name Sk’aliCh’elh-tenaut and considered her a relative, had prepared detailed plans for a seaside sanctuary in the Salish Sea.
Then, last month, Toki died. The hope felt by so many that she would finally go home disappeared in an instant.
Captivity robs orcas of a true life in the deep open sea. It robs them of family, of purpose, of change and challenge. Captivity is tremendous monotony for these socially complex, wide-ranging, intelligent animals. We should not perpetuate that.
Zoos and aquariums long ago relegated dancing bears and tricycle-riding chimps to circuses, but still claim that cetacean shows — loud extravaganzas featuring leaping orcas and cavorting dolphins — are educational (they are not). The industry could and should invest in seaside sanctuaries — it’s a win-win choice, as the industry would be heroes and the animals’ welfare would improve.
Let Toki’s miserable, isolated life and sad death mean something for her fellow captives. These amazing beings should not have to die to finally be free."
Dr. Naomi Rose is senior scientist (marine mammal biology) for the Animal Welfare Institute in Washington, D.C.

John Doe (Malevolent) Propaganda:
Spooky gay eldritch disaster (am I doing this right?)
Could have chosen any name for himself and picked John because a kind person called him that :)
fractured piece of an eldritch god that shares a body with a private eye after being fractured. chooses the name John Doe after said private eye goes into a coma
Because he's an eldritch god who wants to feel human and who overcame a lot of obstacles and dangers!!! He sincerely cares about the main character!!! And he chose a name himself! Isn't he cute??? He lost his body, he almost lost his memory, he fought for his right to exist, he loves animals, he loves his friend Arthur and I love him!
Being an ass, friendship, spooky supernatural stuff, he’s got it all
My man heard the name John Doe, realized he didn’t actually have a name, and just. Took it for himself.
I LOVE HIM. MY SON. HE'S TRYING TO CHANGE AND BE BETTER AND :(((( He's a fragment of the soul of the King in Yellow (god of trickery and suffering iirc??) that gets trapped in a book in our realm while the rest of the King stayed in his own separate realm. When a human named Arthur Lester opens the book they get linked and John gains control of Arthur's eyes & kills his partner (oops!). They proceed to go on a quest to find a way of separating them because neither likes the situation, and at first John (or The Entity, which is what he's called at first) just wants to trick and use Arthur, and control his entire body (through the first season he also gets a hand & a foot) even though he doesn't remember being The King In Yellow at the time, but Arthur makes him change and become more human. His turning point is when Arthur is shot and falls into a coma for a month. They get treated at a hospital and while John waits for Arthur to wake up so they can carry on, the body itself still gets taken care of. The time John spends alone, contemplating on humanity & everything he's seeing and learning from Arthur, as well as the way a certain nurse speaks to him every day (specifically, she greets him good morning and good night, despite the body being unresponsive, John still hears because he is an entity linked to the body) and calls him John (they didn't have ID on when they were found so they were classified as John Doe), changes his outlook and plans for good, and he asks Arthur to call him John; from this point on he admits he cares for Arthur, looks for his wellbeing too, and in general attempts to be a better person and to live for himself. The rest of the podcast (ongoing!!) explores Arthur & John's relationship, struggle to survive, adventures in the eldritch… All while tackling each of their issues with themselves and each other and watching them both grow. John in specific learns to be the person he wants to be, how sometimes you'll take a step forward and two backwards; he can be cruel and manipulative sometimes but he still tries. Personally I love his journey, it's very realistic and you can see he is trying his best, and how he wants to be better than he was as the King In Yellow, and how much Arthur has changed him and how much he cares about him because of that; and how he's slowly growing into being his own person :) if it ends badly ill cry so hard but!!! he's John Doe because that's the name he was being addressed as, and he's made it his, and being John means he's no longer the King and that he wants to be different, and John can fail or make mistakes but it's part of who he is now, and that's what matters. I am So Normal About Him
John Doe (Sims 3 - Midnight Hollow) Propaganda
he is unhinged /pos, household description saying hey didn't their house used to have a basement, all the sims almost having placeholder names. their interview is so weird but funny to me (https://simscommunity.info/2013/09/23/the-sims-3-midnight-hollow-the-doe-family/)
