hi, everyone! i'm writing today to let you all know that if you'd like to help a good cause and get games along with it, the itch.io palestinian relief indie bundle page just went live about an hour ago at time of posting! with a minimum price of $8 for over 350 items and all proceeds going to the palestine children's relief fund, the bundle will be available for purchase from april 12th until april 29th.

i myself have joined the fray with my first game calling card, a short kinetic visual novel in which you play as a supervillain's henchperson tasked with helping out your boss. but that's just one amongst many; there are many other games made by noteworthy creators within the bundle! please consider purchasing it if you're able to and are interested in any of the games included!

this incredible bundle on itch has raised almost $400,000 at time of posting this, with a little over a week left to buy it!

here’s 3 of my favorite games included (with a little bit of detail), if you needed any more reason to get your hands on it:

A Short Hike: I listen to to soundtrack regularly it's phenomenal. This game is critically acclaimed for a reason. the art style is so gorgeous

Wandersong: this is actually one of my favorite games, like, of all time. it does not get enough attention!! it's so heartwarming and beautiful

Underhero: i've never met anybody who has even heard of this game it's criminal. the combat is really polished and the characters have that bizarre indie game charm If the bundle was just these three games it would be worth it ten-fold, it has SO MUCH. There are a LOT of games that haven't been on previous fundraiser bundles. Enjoy some good games and keep fighting! Keep boycotting! Keep protesting and blockading! We will see the day that palestine is free!

Palestinians are being persecuted from their homes in an ongoing genocide. Due to the armed actions of Israel, they lack access to essentials such as food, water, electricity and medical care. 

In response to this crisis, all proceeds from the Palestinian Relief indie bundle will be donated to the PCRF (Palestine Children's Relief Fund). PCRF describes itself as "the primary humanitarian organization in Palestine, delivering crucial and life-saving medical relief where it is needed most". By donating to the PCRF, Palestinians will have better access to medical relief, food and water.

Palestinian Children's Relief Charity Bundle

This bundle is an incredible deal for a great cause. 5E content? Solo games? Group games? Games to be played in a single session, multisession games- it really has everything!

I purchased the bundle today and am slowly making my way through the games on offer. Here's a showcase of some of the highlights so far:

GUN & SLINGER

Delicious and evocative! Compelling backstory, so many mysteries to solve, and also there are ghosts??? Sign me up! If you can find just two other people, you have enough to play this game. You just need the Maestro (GM), a Gun, and a Slinger!

Here, There, Be Monsters

This game combines monsters, queer themes, and a deep loathing for capitalism. I am a queer monster sympathizer who suffers under capitalism, so this is right up my alley.

There are almost 100 different kinds of monsters to choose from- including gorgons, vampires, fey and goblins in a beekeeper suit!

I Want Your Bite

Look, I'm a vampire fan. I own it. I've spent lunch breaks discussing the nuances of Nocturne's Olrox with a friend. What We Do in the Shadows is one of my favourite films of all time. Baz from the Carry On trilogy makes me cry (poor boyo!!!) It shouldn't come as a surprise then that as soon as I got this bundle, I went through looking for games with vampires in them.

I Want Your Bite is The Bachelor, if the titular bachelor was a vampire. It looks like an incredible amount of fun. It also has the best way to determine who fills a role that I've ever seen.

Hello! The Palestinian Relief Bundle looks super cool and I'm delighted to see it up :) That said, is there any direct confirmation through PCRF that this is going through them? Or some other confirmation of legitimacy (maybe through itch.io itself)? I'm sure this is legitimate (can't imagine that many game devs contributing otherwise), but I'd like to boost this in a large server, so I want to be able to answer any questions about it.

The PCRF has an account on itch.io: https://pcrf.itch.io/ When creating a bundle on itch, you can configure how the revenue is split. Here's a screenshot of the bundle's settings on my side where the PCRF's itch.io account is set to 100%.

About direct confirmation: I have been talking back and forth with itch.io's support and a contact from the PCRF via an email chain to setup the bundle, though I don't think I can share that as it may disclose the name / personal details of my contact.

The Palestinian Relief Bundle is being hosted on Itch.io, while the separate TTRPGs for Palestine Charity Bundle is taking place on Tiltify. For $8, the Palestinian Relief Bundle is offering nearly 400 total items, 103 of which are tabletop RPG systems, supplements and adventures. Mapmaking game Ex Novo is joined by the paranormal gunslinging satire FIST: Ultra Edition, along with Takuma Okada’s celebrated solo journaling game Alone on a Journey. Weird and dirty iconoclast game about money, the mind and everything else, Greed by Gormenghast is also on this list and is well worth a look. And if you’d rather keep it cosy and introspective, Cassi Mothwin’s Clean Spirit will get the whole group taking care of their domestic homes.
