ㅤ ㅤnasceu numa família mediana, em uma cidade qualquer de nova jersey. era a filha mais nova de um imigrante tcheco e de uma americana, crescendo no meio de uma mistura de culturas que fizeram com que se tornasse uma figura única. fosse pelos seus gostos ou sua personalidade, a grande verdade era que viktorya era autentica do fio de cabelo até os pés. cresceu, dessa maneira, tendo gostos peculiares e diferenciados, apaixonando-se por cinema desde muito nova e tendo na família a companhia perfeita para tal paixão.

ㅤ ㅤcom a mãe assistia os filmes clássicos americanos, principalmente aqueles dos anos 40 e 50. com o pai, explorava os filmes tchecos e se tornou uma quase especialista sobre o movimento da new wave tcheca. ao lado de amália desbravaram o mundo das diretoras e enredos femininos, entendendo toda essa vertente. e com stepan ficaram deslumbrados pelos filmes primorosos de alfred hitchcock, chegando ao ponto de brincarem de filme, onde stepan era hitchcock e dirigia vik, sua loira fatal.

ㅤ ㅤdurante o ensino médio, envolveu-se com o grupo de audiovisual e jornal da escola. era sempre a responsável pelas filmagens, uma vez que seus colegas diziam que ela era a única que parecia natural com uma câmera na mão. ainda assim, também era criativa o suficiente para ajudar nos planejamentos e habilidosa com as palavras para criar roteiros e artigos quando necessário. com o grupo, ganhou atenção dos professores e corpo docente, fazendo com que sua entrada na universidade de cinema tivesse o apoio de muitos deles. isso, somado as boas notas e uma ótima carta de adesão, fizeram-na ser aceita na american film institute.

ㅤ ㅤdurante os anos de universidade, desenvolveu-se excepcionalmente. envolveu-se em grupos de pesquisa, principalmente aqueles que estudavam movimentos importantes do cinema como nouvelle vague, candidatava-se a ajudar em produções pequenas — fossem de professores ou alunos —, escrevia artigos, além de ter se envolvido em um grupo de alunos imigrantes ou descendentes de outras culturas. o global film wave tinha como objetivo alavancar histórias e enredos diferenciados, principalmente aqueles que tinham intencionalidade em mostrar outros países e culturas.

ㅤ ㅤcom tanta energia e conhecimento, começou a participar de pequenos projetos cinematográficos, como assistente, até que em 2010 teve a primeira oportunidade de substituir um dos roteiristas na produção de crazy nights. a partir desse momento, vik começou a escrever sua trajetória em hollywood. nessa época inicial, projetos voltados para o público jovem a chamaram, como a série tell me something (2010–2013) e o filme para televisão not a lot going on at the moment (2010). porém, foi quando dirigiu dois curta-metragens em 2011, strangers e my year of contemplation, que chamou atenção do mundo cinematográfico.

ㅤ ㅤem 2019, fez mais um curso, agora na academy of performing arts’ film and tv school em praga, onde pode renovar seus conhecimentos, conhecer novos cineastas e ainda se conectar com as suas raízes tchecas. disse no seu discurso de graduação que para ela era um privilégio estudar onde os grandes cineastas tchecos estudaram, principalmente aqueles que haviam moldado seu caminho até aquele momento.

ㅤ ㅤa partir de então, vik kovàc vem desenhando uma carreira de muito sucesso. premiada e reconhecida não só pela sua direção e roteiro, como pela produção de filmes criativos e autênticos, tem ganhado cada vez mais espaço em hollywood. a crítica costuma apontar que os maiores diferenciais de suas obras são a estética única, o roteiro muito bem trabalhado e o foco em personagens que fogem do clichê dos filmes do circuito anglo-americano.

★・⸝⸝﹒⠀ 𝙶𝙴𝚃 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚂𝙲𝙾𝙾𝙿 ! ⠀⠀ ❪⠀①⠀❫ ⠀⠀ ARM CANDY are a fictional seven-piece boy group that debuted on FEBRUARY 14TH, 2021 underneath IDEAL MUSIC. The lineup originally consisted of the SIX members ZION, JAEMIN, EUNJUN, HOLLAND, COLE, and MYLES before the late addition of former Stray Kids member DREW shortly after his departure from JYP.

Feeling complete as seven, Arm Candy then released their debut single LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT on Valentine's Day, a strategic move that led to the immense success the boys saw early on. Their bright colors, cheery yet cheesy lyrics, and fresh choreography made them stand out among the rise of experimental concepts the industry was seeing. Most onlookers brushed their hype off as people following the more FAMILIAR FACES in the group but it became clear that Arm Candy were starting to become a gem among the 4th generation.

In just a few months, the pop sensations were reaching heights most Ideal artist only achieved after a year of being active aside from SMYN and EVANGELINE. On top of their music, their charming personalities aided into many fans of other groups wishing to support them, giving them the title of "K-POP'S BOYFRIENDS" as one couldn't help but to love them.

With such a bright future ahead of them, it came as a shock when Sweethearts began to notice the rather GLARING exemption of member JAEMIN from fan events and merchandise sells. Ideal, after being pressured to speak up about it, announced that he was no longer apart of the group for reasons still UNSPECIFIED. Arm Candy proceeded with solo schedules for a while to increase their following until photos surfaced of all members heading into the company building with ex-Seventeen member IJUN who left his group during PLEDIS' merge with HYBE. Later that month, Ideal revealed that he'd be joining the group to make the lineup seven again.

Even with the jarring replacement and newfound hate being thrown their way, Arm Candy still remains the best-selling boy group under their label. They're often considered THE STANDARD for 4th generation boy groups and have reached an audience worldwide at an incredible speed.

i always love it in twst events when the characters are trying foods local to that region because the way they describe the food is so enjoyable to see. :D they talk about the entire flavor profile and composition and get so invested in the taste, texture, smell, etc of the food that it's as if they're judges in a cooking contest breaking down the food to its most yummiest layers.

they can't just say the food is good; they have to really, truly describe it so it's as if you are having the same experience alongside them. and i think it's very nice to read about. (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ.ﾟ

A/n: Hi! Newest chapter. I hope I don't lose you guys with this one. It's very angsty and has time and pov shifts. Please bear with me. I'll make it worth it, I promise! 💖

Jonah was right. He shouldn't have done that. He meant that statement about two things: finishing inside you and letting himself go that far with you in the first place. Having just had your first sexual experience, however, he wasn't about to tell you that. He'd crossed a line. He knew it. Feeling the crushing weight of guilt heavy in his chest, he got up, and got dressed. He encouraged you to do the same.

"Come on, love, we need to get you back to housing," he said softly.

You sat up and swung your legs over the side of the bed. Finding your underwear and leggings on the floor, you slid them on, keeping your eyes on Jonah. You could see the gears turning in his head. You hoped that he didn't regret it.

Jonah walked with you into the living room to find your shirt. Handing it over, he let you slide it on. He took your hand and led you to the door. Jonah held up your coat for you to put your arms in the sleeves. He put on his coat and the two of you went to his car.

The whole ride back, Jonah kept his hand on yours on top of the center console, letting his thumb rub gentle circles into your skin. No words were spoken the whole ride back. You kept looking from the window to Jonah's pensive face, and then back again. You were worried. What was he thinking? Was it a mistake?

Stopping off in the parking lot of a convenience store right before the road back to housing, Jonah pulled into a parking space. He left the engine running, but turned to look at you.

"(Y/N). I'm sorry. What happened tonight wasn't fair to you. I knew that would inevitably happen if I took you to my home, but I did it anyway. I'm selfish. I...," he trailed off.

Your heart felt like it was going to beat out of your chest as you watched him. He pressed his palms into his eyes, exhaled an uneven breath, and looked back at you. You thought you saw tears in his eyes.

"I don't think that can happen again. There's too much at risk. For me, and for you. You're just starting your career. Something like this could ground it before it even takes off," he sighed.

You felt a lump in your throat. What did you really expect? It's not like the two of you could ride off in the sunset. You felt the sting of tears at the corners of your eyes. You returned your gaze to the glove box in front of you.

"I'd wait for you, you know," you let out in a shaky breath.

You didn't look at Jonah's eyes again. You'd start bawling.

"(Y/N), please, I couldn't ask you to do that," he tried to grab your arm to comfort you.

You lightly pulled your arm away from his grasp.

"I'd like to go home now, please," your voice cracked.

Looking at your profile, Jonah saw a tear fall. What the hell was wrong with him? Mentally berating himself, Jonah sucked in a breath, and put his car into reverse.

Pulling up behind your building, Jonah quickly grabbed your hands, preventing you from immediately jumping out of the car.

"(Y/N), please. I'm so sorry. You deserve better," he placed a gentle kiss on your knuckles.

Your glassy (e/c) eyes peered into his for a moment. Then you pulled away, hopping out of the car, and closing the door behind you. The sound was a note of finality for Jonah. He watched your form walk to the double doors. You didn't look back at him. He didn't expect you to after tonight. He'd made himself look like a manipulative jackass.

Slowly pulling out of the parking lot and heading home, Jonah felt a few stray tears dusting his cheeks. He didn't know if he'd forgive himself.

Friday morning rolled around, and the thought of going to class and seeing Jonah made you nauseous. You hadn't felt much better the day before, almost getting sick during another class. It was very inconvenient. You were stubborn, however. You didn't want to ruin your perfect attendance for something so silly. Dressing yourself for class, you prepared yourself to see him again. To hear his voice. You were supposed to be act normal. Everything was normal. You're just feeling a little under the weather, is all.

You tried to build on this alternate reality you were constructing in your head the whole walk to class. Anything to distract you from thoughts of your instructor. Stepping into the studio, you padded past the other ballerinas, and went to your place to warm up. Sebastian soon arrived, greeting you.

"Hiya girl. Oh," he said when you turned to face him. "You don't look so good, (Y/N). Are you feeling a'right?"

You nodded.

"Well enough to make it through. I'm just a little under the weather," you excused.

Nodding his head, Sebastian looked to the doorway when he heard Jonah enter. You turned your head back to it's original position, facing the mirrors, and fixing your gaze on the back wall.

"Morning class. We'll be doing rehearsals today. We currently have less than 2 weeks before our premier performance. Things need to be locked in now," he emphasized in his usual harsh tone.

Everyone lined up in positions for the first dance. Unbeknownst to you, Jonah's eyes followed you through the crowd. You looked thinner than the last time he'd seen you. He distantly wondered if you'd been eating. Focusing himself on the choreography, Jonah intently watched the opening sequences. The next dance was your couples dance with Sebastian.

You walked to the center of the studio and took your position, avoiding Jonah's eyes in the mirrors. Sebastian came up behind you, wrapping his arm around your waist. Jonah tried to stay focused. Watching the two of you separate, you each occupied your first forms. You spun into Sebastian and Jonah watched him lift you up. The execution was flawless. Sebastian dipped you down into the fish dive. He held you there for a moment, but you started to gag. Throwing your hand over your mouth, you were trying to communicate to Sebastian that you needed to get up.

"Oi! Lift her up, she's getting sick," Jonah snapped at Sebastian, running closer to you.

Sebastian quickly righted you, and grabbed your upper arms when you swayed on your feet. Jonah was by your side in an instant, but you refused to make eye contact with him.

"I'm fine, I'm nauseous is all," you waved your hands at the two men in your face, looking down at your feet.

"(Y/N), do you need to go home?" Jonah graciously asked.

Nodding your head, you pushed past them to grab your coat, and head out the door. You were beyond embarrassed. You thought you could do it, but you'd almost gotten sick in front of everyone. Walking in the brisk winter air back to your room, you couldn't wait to lay down.

Seeing you almost get sick in class made Jonah feel terrible. You were having very physical symptoms because of the bullshit he'd put you through. You flooded his mind through the remainder of class. He couldn't do much, but he could help you through your illness. Deciding to get you some nausea medication and an ice pack, he snuck into housing to put it in front of the door of your room. He raised his fist to knock, but he thought better of it, and left the supplies there for you to find.

A week had passed since you found the medical supplies at your door. You tried to make light of it; perhaps Sebastian had brought them up. You dreamt of Jonah every night, but that was the only time you allowed yourself to yearn for him. During the day, you went through the motions on autopilot. Ballet had been your whole life up until now, so you stuck to what you knew.

Meanwhile, Jonah was having a horrible week. Every night, he dreamt of having you beneath him again, looking up with your innocent, doey eyes. And every morning, when he woke up to an empty bed, he tasted regret on his tongue. You were so damn sweet. Everything about you. Jonah hated himself for ruining that. He sat on the edge of his bed every day, recounting the events of your relationship; thinking of what he should have done differently. If you wanted to, you could go to the Board, and have him fired. He feared that, but he had a feeling that you'd do no such thing.

Each day that Jonah saw you in class, you looked like an empty husk. Your skin was pale and your eyes looked sunken in. You weren't your normal, cheery self - only giving polite smiles to Sebastian every now and then. You poured your concentration into your technique. Jonah admired your focus. He wished he could say the same about himself.

The following Monday rolled around, and it was your last class and rehearsal before your first performance on Wednesday. Everyone was buzzing with anticipation about the premier. You felt that you should've been as well, having a lead role, but you felt rather numb to the whole thing. You were told to report to Ursula's office for a costume fitting that morning. This is the one who'd accused Jonah of misconduct when there hadn't been any. You stood in the hallway, trying to quell your feelings about that, as you heard your name called from the roster. The woman you were met with when you stepped in looked quite witchy when you saw her.

"(Y/N)?" She read your name off the clipboard again, quirking her eyebrows, and looking you up and down.

You nodded. Ursula motioned for you to stand up on the platform in front of her. She took out her tape measure, wrapping it around your waist.

"You're the star of the show, aren't you?" she tried to make conversation.

"I suppose so," you curtly replied.

She wrote down the measurement from your waist, wrapping the tape around your thigh next.

"Well, what do you think of him?" She asked.

You grimaced at her words.

"What do you mean?"

She held the tape up to your chest, measuring the length to your waist, and eyed you with black glasses on the tip of her nose.

"Mr. King. He's attractive, isn't he?"

You weren't quite sure what she was getting at.

"He's alright. Why do you ask?" You sounded annoyed.

Ursula laughed. A deep, rumbling laugh.

"I was just curious what you thought of him. He's a nice piece of ass, that one. Many women around here have tried to pursue him, but none have succeeded."

You hopped down from the platform.

"I don't see how that's any of my business. I'm only a student," you peered at her wider frame.

She held her hands up.

"Oh, touchy. Someone doesn't like their ballet master. I thought you'd be closer since he gave you the lead role," she poked fun at you.

"Is that everything you need from me?"

You crossed your arms over your chest. You wanted to leave. Ursula studied your neutral face for a moment.

"Yes, send the next ballerina in," she snapped before turning her back to you.

Having been excused, you swiftly exited the office, telling the next dancer in the hallway to go in.

Tech jobs requirements prt 1 | Resource ✨

I decided to do my own mini research on what languages/frameworks/tools and more, are required when looking into getting a job in tech! Read below for more information! 🤗🎀

The website I have used and will be using for this research is Otta (link) which is an employment search service based in London, England that mostly does tech jobs. What they take into consideration are:

ꕤ Where would you like to work? (Remote or in office in UK, Europe, USA and, Toronto + Vancouver in Canada)

ꕤ If remote, where you are based?

ꕤ If you need a visa to work elsewhere

ꕤ What language you can work in? (English, French, Spanish, etc)

ꕤ What type of roles you would like to see in your searches (Software Engineering, Data, Design, Marketing, etc)

ꕤ What level of the roles you would like? (Entry, Junior, Mid-Level, etc)

ꕤ Size of the company you would like to work in (10 employees to 1001+ employees)

ꕤ Favourite industries you would like to work for (Banking, HR, Healthcare, etc) and if you want to exclude any from your searches

ꕤ Favourite technologies (Scala, Git, React, Java, etc) and if you want to exclude any

ꕤ Minimum expected salary (in £, USD $, CAD $, €)

With this information, I created a dummy profile who is REMOTE based IN THE UK with ENTRY/JUNIOR level and speaks ENGLISH. I clicked all for technologies and industries. Clicked all the options for the size of the company and set the minimum salary at £20k (the lower the number the more job posts will appear) I altered my search requirements to fit these job roles because these are my preferred roles:
