So I've been thinking, RWBY has been messing around with altering Semblances in some way for a decently long time now, right?
Like, Yang having to learn how to control Burn better so that her emotions are less likely to activate it and that she doesn't rely on it in every battle, Weiss finally getting the hang of her summoning Glyphs, Ren's Tranquility evolving so that he can not only mask emotions but read them as well, probably more things that I can't remember off the top of my head!
And in the past couple Volumes, Semblances in general have had the spotlight shone on them in much more unique ways, in addition to Ren's evolving
We have an explanation as how how Petal Burst works, Nora using her Semblance to a degree she hasn't before, Mettle subtly lending itself to Ironwood's spiral, Robyn revealing that she faced a lot of stigma due to the lie detecting nature of her Semblance, the whole Good Fortune/Misfortune thing... And again, there may be more I am forgetting
All of this is a very long-winded way for me to say that if Misfortune evolves into smth that Qrow could actually use, that could be a phenomenal conclusion to his character arc
Considering what I just explained, it wouldn't exactly be too far out there
Not to mention, that whole part at the end of the last episode where the bomb is about to fall out of the airship but Qrow grabs Clover's pin... and it stops
Which then begs the question of, how is his Semblance going to evolve, and does it have to do with the bomb miraculously managing to not fall onto Mantle? One take is that it was still Misfortune at work, working against Harriet who wanted the bomb to fall. But it could also be a hint to how Misfortune may evolve in the future
Maybe it can also prevent unfortunate events from happening? Maybe it's going to jump from just providing bad luck to allowing Qrow to manipulate probability in whatever way he wants? (That would sure be broken, lol.) Or maybe it'll be the same in terms of what it does, but Qrow gets the ability to control and aim it?
Now obviously I think it's going to be a little bit more time and a bit more growth from Qrow before we hit that point; but with that being said, whatever happens, it could definitely finish off his character arc with a bang

I need to talk about RWBY's Jaune Arc
okay this is 1.6k words, immaaaaaaaa put a cut
Okay so going into RWBY back in 2019, that was great right. I was in the middle of getting my degree in creative writing I was seriously burnt out from how formulaic stories had gotten for me, and then comes along my friend being all YOU SHOULD WATCH RWBY. And I said, SURE
now my friend knows my types and she nailed who my favorite character was going to be (Oscar) and she also nailed who my other favorites would be (Ren and Qrow) and I'll admit, 90% of my investment in RWBY was ya know, my favorite boys (Don't worry I love plenty of the girls, it just happened that my top 3 ended up being guys this time around). And wow RWBY was just such a breath of fresh air for me given all the story telling stuff I was learning about in college
and specifically, now that we're like waiting for volume 10 to be greenlit, I'm surprised by how much I've grown to like Jaune
I used to not care for Jaune/find him mildly annoying in Volume 1. He was the... audience stand in, so he had to be a little dumb. He was falling into a little bit of a stereotypical pretending to be confident to impress the ladies role. But ya know, I didn't hate him. He just wasn't my favorite of team JNPR
then volume 2 comes around and he has his whole IMMA INVITE WEISS TO THE DANCE WITH ME :D and I was not about that, it was pushy, and also, I really do not care for that sort of romance in the stories I'm engaging with, and then... it didn't go that route. He realized that Pyrrha wanted to go with him, that he had been unintentionally insensitive towards her, and pursued a girl who didn't even care about him who liked someone else. And Jaune just went "alright, damage control, gonna get Weiss what she wants and gonna give Pyrrha what she deserves" and that was the first time instead of being neutral or annoyed at Jaune I thought ya know, this guy... this guy has good bean potential. I'm interested in seeing where they take him next
And then there's Volume 3. He's been training with Pyrrha, he's been more supportive as a partner, he's been TRYING to be a good leader for his team, like he's not perfect at any of those but he's TRYING and he's lost a lot of the traits that I found annoying originally. Now he's starting to full step into the supportive wholesome leader role. And then, ya know the finale happens and just... ouch. Things were looking up for White boy, and the rug wasn't just pulled out from under him, it also slapped him in the face and threw him down the stairs
Now through Volumes 4-5 Jaune was still in the "I'm pretty meh" about him territory. There were moments where I found myself deeply empathizing with him, specifically in the scenes that showed him mourning Pyrrha, especially because well... I've been there. I've lost someone I was close with when I was 17 too. Extremely different circumstances but that thing where you put on a video of them and you watch it over and over and over because you so desperately want them back, that you're reaching for wisps and smoke of what used to be them all for a brief small chance to feel their presence again. And it's just, it's never enough. No matter how many times you watch the video, no matter how many times you replay their voice talking to you, no matter how many times you listen to old messages they sent you, they are gone and nothing in the world is going to change that. It hurts. It hurts so bad
this boy is GRIEVING
but, he was being bitchy. And look, I don't blame the guy alright. Grief messes you up as a person, it brings out sides of you you didn't know you had, it prevents you from being the best version of yourself. I. GET. IT. But he was being bitchy towards Qrow(aforementioned fave, special mention to that time he slammed Oscar ANOTHER FAVE against the wall), and at the battle of Haven, he initially let his grief and anger get the better of him, and ngl I couldn't watch. (To clarify, absolutely no shade to the writers, this was GOLDEN, peek character writing and whatnot) But that is what Jaune's arc is about at the end of the day. I'm not saying the other characters aren't grieving too, they absolutely are. But Jaune's arc has a lot more focus on how grief hurts and changes a person, how it gets the better of us, and how ultimately, if we want to move forward, if we want to keep going, we cannot just fight it and resist it because it feels icky. We cannot just sit in it because we hate what happened and happiness feels fake and forever gone. We cannot pretend the grief isn't there either.
Cue Volume 6 where he was mostly backstage, but all of this comes to a culmination at Pyrrha's statue and Jaune finally gets a moment where he gets to sit with his grief. Really sit with it. In a way that isn't anger, or repression, or wishing things had been different or that Pyrrha was there. He got to sit with his grief with the reality that it was. He lost Pyrrha. And it hurt. Maybe it was senseless. Maybe he really couldn't have done anything. Maybe it really does hurt so bad. But at the end of the day, it had been Pyrrha's choice to try and do something. And for better or for worse, she tried. And the rest of his team confront him. Ren and Nora are quick to console him, and join in on the grieving. And they also confront him about his behavior in season 5, where he believed that he didn't matter so long as his friends got to live. And here are Ren and Nora telling him, buddy, you DO matter. You matter so much. You matter to us just as much as Pyrrha mattered to us. We all chose to be huntsmen, so let us grow together and honor her choice even if it hurts. We can hurt together and we can take comfort together.
And listen, up until this point, when I was watching RWBY, Jaune was not my favorite. He never had been. He was just a guy that was there going through his own arcs. But after this key moment in volume 6, suddenly I find himself enjoying seeing him whenever he was on screen
for the rest of volume 6 he slips naturally into an empathetic leader. Stealing the ships was his idea but he let everyone take the roles they were good at, he played good support, he protected his team when possible. AND THEN WE GET TO 7 AND 8 and omg
friends
this is when I started loving Jaune. Suddenly, it's like he found a balance, he found himself. He was still hurting but instead of being angry he was being compassionate. He was still goofy and fun, but he was no longer annoying being respectful of people. He was no longer blundering about on the battlefield but he was moving with purpose and with skill. This Jaune feels like an entirely different character than the Jaune we first met back in volume 1. He's fallen into a character role that I personally love. I love the empathic leaders who are a little bit goofy. I love them to pieces. I love their level-headedness, i love their compassion. I love their gentleness. But what made Jaune special is that we got to see how much he had to suffer to get there. He was doing the best he's ever been, and he was being so kind and so humble (straight up, tempted to do a time travel AU fic or something with baby jaune and leader jaune meeting each other cuz they'd be so different)
Then we reach the end of 8 and ya know
THAT happened
and of course Jaune's arc is always about grief. But what a stroke of genius, have him find his footing and then REtraumatize him. ngl, I ALSO have been there, and imo the retraumatization is almost worst than the originally one, especially if you haven't properly dealt with the OG emotions because now THOSE come rushing back AND you've got new fresh ones to deal with. Call me a sadist. Accuse me of projecting my own trauma or whatever, but genuinely I loved what they did with Jaune in volume 9. It was *chef's kiss*. The unhealthy coping, the latching onto and hyperfixating on a single thing that ultimately is the opposite of what he needed, forced to be alone for decades, betrayed by someone he tried to help, being reunited with his friends without having processed or dealt with any of that and STILL trying to be friendly and kind and gentle to them while barely keeping it together- it's just SO GOOD
and ultimately he does break. But his friends are there with him, just like Ren and Nora helped him in volume 6. He's still the gentle leader he's grown into, but now there's just so much more to it, there's so many layers
I'm genuinely so excited to see where they take him for future volumes. He still can't dethrone my favorites BUT he has climbed the ranks of my favorite characters so fast that I wouldn't have believed you if you told me when I started watching RWBY that the character I found most annoying would end up being one of my favorite RWBY characters
soooooo yeah
I really love Jaune now
controversial opinion, I love his short hair

I'm hearing secondhand (so someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the "Don't Come Back" is directed at Ironwood and I'm really just trying to wrap my head around this? First of all, there appears to only be one large gravestone, so I assume this is a list of all the names of those known to have died in Atlas—Ironwood included. That would explain why Winter's internal dialogue is talking to Team RWBY right before she uses her powers (I think?) to write the message and the animation note that Qrow is (lovingly) wiping dust off of the names. It looks like there's a list and, after most everyone else has left the ceremony, Winter is just desecrating Ironwood's name.
Which is... really something. I don't use the term "desecrating" lightly. Putting aside the fact that Ironwood was an ally, friend, and mentor for years vs. being a villain for a matter of hours—I always think back to how Ozpin still wanted to protect Lionheart's name despite his betrayal. That love doesn't just up and disappear—that's a HELL of a disrespectful act. Contextually, I'd feel different if this message had been left by some random Mantle citizen who has neither the full story nor any personal connection to Ironwood, but as said, it looks like Winter is leaving it. I'd also potentially feel differently if this clip didn't a) re-frame Clover as worthy of a fond remembrance despite his own (supposed) fall and b) if Willow and Whitley weren't traipsing around the city their family has historically screwed over, with Whitley talking about how he refuses to hide. The recent implosion of the Titan sub has sparked a lot of conversation about whether billionaires deserve to be mourned post-death and, more generally, when suffering hardships. I'm not going to try and hash out my own complicated feelings on that in a RWBY post, but suffice to say I'd better understand it if the show had taken a clear stance on whether powerful, obscenely wealthy, military-aligned characters as a whole deserve compassion. Winter the emotional center of the epilogue, Willow is meant to inspire sympathy when her charity leads to accusations, Whitley should presumably be praised for his courage in embracing who he is, Clover is mourned by Qrow and implied to be the source of his miraculous self-improvement, Marrow is now a friend, all these characters who embody all that RWBY despises are granted that forgiveness... but the man who no longer can try to improve himself isn't? This feels like the most egregious example of RWBY's moral double standards since Ruby herself started repeating Ozpin's lies.
So there's this level of disrespect towards Ironwood as a character that, really, is no surprise given how he's been treated since Volume 8, but even beyond that it's a weird moment. How did Ironwood's name end up on the tombstone if Winter—who as the Maiden leading these refugees into Vacuo and continuing to take point in these "meetings" must surely have had a say in these memorials—was just going to desecrate it? It feels like the writing included Ironwood there not because any of the characters actually fought to properly mourn him, but because they wanted the setup for the message itself; the actual implications of him being on the tombstone at all go unacknowledged and, as a result, are unimportant. The only takeaway is that circumstances provide the perfect opportunity to insult his memory. On top of all this, what does that message even mean? As said, it's a weird-ass moment because who blasts their enemy with their magic powers, watches him get crushed and drowned under the destruction of an entire kingdom... and then tells him not to "come back"? It's such a specific, seemingly illogical insult—within the context of what Winter knows—especially when other, more generic insults would have gotten the point across. If I were to visit someone's grave to desecrate it (which, you know, I don't lol) I wouldn't write "Don't come back" because they're dead. Of course they're not coming back! Why would that even enter my mind as something to warn them against?
All of which is to say I worry that, like Penny, RT is planning a resurrection for Ironwood. The writers have a well-established habit of writing scenes based on what they know, not what the characters know or what's been established in canon, so there's a part of me that wonders if that message was chosen because they're planning a miraculous survival with, unfortunately, Villain!Ironwood 2.0. They already know they plan for him to return if Volume 10 is greenlit and thus that influences Winter's actions.
Regardless of Ironwood coming back or not, it's just a disappointing scene on every front for me. I understand that a lot of fans despise Ironwood and, much like with Adam, are inclined to accuse others of not getting the story they want (a version that is framed as objectively bad + morally wrong), but can we just acknowledge that regardless of how you feel about him, the writers haven't treated Ironwood well? You can make Ironwood a villain. You can kill him off. You can even have the other characters despise him so much that they desecrate his part of a communal grave. But when you consider that many fans really like his character and then compare him to how others are treated in the series, how RT talks about him, how the community responds to anyone who enjoys his long run in the show... it's staggeringly clear that, no, his character has not been treated well and that's what people remain upset over. Not that any of these plot points occurred, but that they've occurred with none of the setup and nuance and respect needed to make them compelling for anyone who doesn't just want to rail against Ironwood as a matter of course. That should be understood for any character, but Ironwood's unique status as a triple amputee with PTSD and a semi-canonical mental illness-based semblance makes that lack of respect all the more galling. RT doesn't have to do anything specific with their story, but if they're going to go this route at least do it with purpose and do it well.
It doesn't help that Ruby, the one who actually destroyed the Kingdom and whose message was logically supposed to bring deadly waves of grimm and who started this whole divide by perpetuating the secrets she despised Ozpin for, is given martyr-like murals. Like, it's a strong visual contrast. I'm not saying Ruby doesn't deserve to be mourned and celebrated—I want Qrow to actually act like he lost two family members!—I'm saying the show continues to treat the protagonists as ethically separate from the rest of the world and the rules that everyone else must adhere to.

Hi! What do you think of Ren and Nora? I like them, but to me they don't really seem to fit in the main story... differently from all the other main characters :(
So, I don't think you're wrong about this, and I think others have noticed too. However, I was recently thinking on it, and I honestly believe this might be precisely the point of Ren and Nora's arcs: that they don't fit.
Tumblr media
In comparison to the others, they definitely don't. Yang and Ruby are children of Team STRQ. Yang is the bio daughter of the Spring Maiden, too. Their mother was turned into a Grimm by Salem, and their uncle is Qrow, someone who's been in Oz's secret circle. Weiss is a Schnee, the daughter of powerful people in Atlas, and Blake's the daughter of the leaders of Menagerie.
Jaune doesn't have that linkage, but he is directly tied to Pyrrha and Penny's deaths, and he comes from a legacy of Huntsman and Huntresses. Oscar is literally chosen and called by Oz, who inhabits him.
Ren and Nora more clearly mirror Emerald and Mercury's situations, which also makes them a mirror of Cinder to a degree. All five of these characters are orphans, but because Cinder directly works for Salem, Emerald and Mercury are therefore tied to the main plot in ways Ren and Nora aren't.
Tumblr media
I've seen speculation that this "orphan" idea might well tie into Nora's backstory, which is still somewhat mysterious in that we know she lost her mother and ended up in Ren's village, but we don't know what happened prior to this. Given the horror of Cinder's backstory, I've seen a lot of people wondering if Nora faced something similar, and frankly this could be the case. There's no direct evidence for it, but it would make sense and help set up empathy for Cinder.
I've also seen speculation that given the clear foreshadowing for focus on finding out "who just Nora is" in Vacuo, that Nora will end up the Summer Maiden. I'm less into this idea, but it's not impossible.
The reason I'm less into Summer Maiden!Nora, though, is because I actually think that Ren and Nora have no place in the story... but they choose to have one.
Tumblr media
I think this could tie very interestingly into the theme of "choice" and the relic thereof in Beacon. It'd be far more interesting to me than Nora finding her identity in a Maiden. (The potential backstory doesn't actually impact this, so I don't mind whether that's true or not.)
No, Ren and Nora aren't connected to the main plot in the same way as the others. They don't have a legacy to uphold. But, they choose to become a part of a story greater than themselves anyways, because it was their teammate Cinder killed. It was their friend she made their other friend kill. It is their friends who are threatened and their loved ones whose lives are at risk.
They may not be directly tied to all the plots like the others are, but don't ordinary people have a place, too? They might just be kids with dreams who decide to take on the world for no other reason than that they are there and they care. If that is emphasized appropriately in Nora's coming arc, I think It could be really powerful. There's a particular type of quiet beauty in people choosing to make themselves a legacy out of choice and belief that people deserve to live.
In the words of Samwise Gamgee, there's some good in this world, Mx Anon, and that's worth fighting for.

AHHHHHHHH NO I WANNA SEE THE FIIIIIIIGHT
No yeah that makes sense. That fight is probably gonna take a while, so they’re saving it til next time. Also cliffhanger
I LOVED this episode. All of the stuff with Weiss FINALLY blowing up at the bullshit of Atlas was so freaking good. And then the fight with Tyrian, where we finally get to hear the guy talk more, was excellent
I have to admit, he’s fucking awful, but he’s very entertaining. I am not immune to a skrunkly little stab guy
Next time I’m hoping for the aforementioned fight and hopefully afterwards an explanation from Qrow to the kids about The Plot. Because if you’re gonna let them wander around mostly unprotected, they deserve to know. They deserve to know anyways, they’re lives were just destroyed by one of Salem’s minions, but now you really have no excuse
Also maybe Blake and or Yang next time, since neither of them were in this episode. Probably gonna take a break from Weiss since she had her whole blow up. Good for her, good for her
Gonna go have breakfast and what not, and then I’ll be back with a World of Remnant! So until then, thank you all SO much for the support, everyone on the Discord, everyone on Patron. Your support and enthusiasm give me the ability to keep doing this. See y’all later!

Songs that are RWBY songs to me
A whole 4 people said they wanted this. This is really gonna show you which characters I think about most lmao
Rivers in the Desert (Lolia)
Winter Schnee in Atlas in V7-8? This is her song, especially in that V8 fight against Ironwood.
Training Montage (The Mountain Goats)
This is Neopolitan post V3, specifically the time between the V3 finale and when we see her again in V6, bonus if you think about the very end as V9 right at the end of ch8
World Burn (Taylor Louderman, Mean Girls)
Cinder Song Ever. Plus you can replace Kady with Ruby every time. It's fun.
See The Day (The Althogether)
Ruby Rose at the end of V9 would maybe cry if she heard this song but in a good way
Honeybee (Steam Powered Giraffes)
It's bumbleby you already know
Special Girl (Dodie)
Pyrrha Nikos really was doomed before she began, wasn't she? This is just Her Song
You're Not Welcome (Naethan Apollo)
This is a Yang Song, and it reminds me of both her fights with Neo and Adam, in which she didn't fare so well the first time around, but came back to fight them again
The Greatest (They Might Be Giants)
Jaune song.
World Spins Madly On (The Weepies)
This is simultaneously a Taiyang losing Summer song and a V4 Yang losing Blake song. They understand each other. And it works well with the song being a duet, just listen to it, you'll understand.
Hummingbird (The Weepies)
This is such a Nora song about her and Ren, and I love it and her and them dearly
I'd Rather Sleep (Kero Kero Bonito)
This is just RWBY: Ice Queendom. The whole thing. In one song.
Candle Queen (Ghost and Pals)
I lied earlier THIS is the Cinder Song Ever, like I'm not kidding THE most Cinder Fall song to ever exist it's literally her
So Alright, Cool, Whatever (The Happy Fits)
We can have a Sun pining after Blake but letting her go and wanting her to be happy song. As a treat.
Be Nice To Me (The Front Bottoms)
I was very neutral on Emercury as a ship until I heard this song and realized the first half is Emerald and the second half is Mercury and now I feel things about them, although this can also work for them platonically as well
P.U.N.K Girl (Heavenly)
This is bumbleby Yang is SO p.u.n.k girl coded and Blake loves her so much
Despair (leo.)
Whiterose song. Weiss is so scared to be in love that she denies that shit so hard. The lady really DOTH protest too much.
Clover (Louie Zong)
Too easy, it's a Fair Game song, but like, it's PERFECT
The Family Jewels (MARINA)
Schnee children, no explanation needed.
Christmas Kids (Roar)
This is Ozlem energy and you cannot tell me otherwise, their whole backstory, it's here
Partners in Crime (Set It Off)
THE Gelato/Pumkin Spice Ice Cream/whatever you want to call Roman and Neo song
Ghost of Chicago (Noah Floersch)
We can have a Qrow pining after Summer song but letting her go and wanting her to be happy. As a treat.
DEATH OF A PREDATOR (Banshee)
I have both versions of this song on my RWBY vibes playlist bc fuck Adam all my homies hate Adam, I'm not saying he deserved it (just kidding, I'm absolutely saying he deserved it)
Kids (Current Joys)
I just want all these children to be happy. That's all this song is for.

man. what the fuck am i going to say. what the fuck am i supposed to say.
surely raven must've known how summer was being a mother to her children before having left her family.
do you think tai and summer was a loveless marriage, not as in "they didn't love each other like family" but "they weren't romantically involved to begin with". that "they had to stay together to raise these kids they brought into the world as a plan that fell through".
do you think raven checked in quietly with summer once in a while because she didn't have the guts to look to tai about her absence and her daughter. do you think they went ahead with the plan for rosebird ideals and resents qrow with all her heart for having made herself split from the family unit. do you think she lies to herself about not being as good a mother to the family because she has to focus on her tribe, her "real family" and not her family unit.
do you think she's actually a terrible mother, and decided to escape while she had the chance, because she was a coward who wasn't ready to accept the responsibilities of motherhood. do you think raven crushed on summer all this time for being someone she couldn't be. do you think summer resented her the entire time, just as much if not more than tai ever did. do you think raven ever felt an ocean of regret allowing summer to die on their mission. do you think she felt it if she had to mercy kill summer. do you think it crushed her to leave her kids behind because she had responsibilities elsewhere/she wasn't ready to be a mom/she didn't know what tai would think coming back with a dead wife and then leaving him again because she still wasn't ready. do you think she felt guilt free knowing tai had to single handedly raise their kids.
do you think she lied to herself that they would be fine without her because thinking of the alternative would be too difficult and sad and she wasn't ready. do you think she spent more time worrying about her daughter more than she did her tribe. do you think she had to distract herself from it. do you think she missed summer every day. do you think she misses summer forever. do you think she lied to herself that summer was a fool for believing in ozpin so that she would feel okay with summer's death. do you think she hated ozpin because he sent summer on a death flag.
do you think summer looks at yang and thinks she's her child, but when yang brushes her off and scolds her for not being there for her, she realizes yang is more summer's child than her own, even though yang is made from her and tai's dna. do you think she regrets lying to herself about summer and tai and yang and ruby. do you think she seeks forgiveness from ruby. do you think she would cry if she ever saw ruby. do you think tai would ever forgive her. do you think raven worries about the day she would have to own up to her own actions properly in front of her daughter, or if she wasn't going to be strong enough again for her family. do you think qrow would ever forgive her for leaving her family. do you think she would ever forgive qrow for not leading their family. do you think she believes all life deserves an equal chance at survival, even her family of "bandits and thieves", and that tai was enough of a role model to yang and ruby, on the basis that he had been enough for summer. do you think she would go back.
do you think raven thinks about this on the nights she stares out towards the moon missing summer and she can't sleep. do you ever think she dreams about taking summer to the tribe with her, but never thinks about it for long because she knows it will never be real. do you think raven thinks about how yang is doing in between bites of her meal on a hot summer's day as her tribe is taking a break. do you think she ever wonders how ruby looks like now, like her mother, and hopes and prays that she never wants to see ruby ever. do you think she ever justified to herself how much she needed summer more than her daughters ever did. do you think she insists that its true, only to rescind the thought once yang started yelling at her.
do you think she is a pathetic little meow meow. do you think she would ever make a good mom in anybody's eyes. do you think she ever wonders if summer would ever kiss her again, on the one mission they were back together, just for a moment, just to know that maybe there would be hope for her in the future.
do you think summer actually would.
do you think summer actually misses and wish raven would come back. that her family, herself and tai and their two daughters would ever be enough for them. do

What are your thoughts about the fight of Ironwood vs everyone in vol. 8? I was so annoyed by it. I felt like they nerfed Ironwood so hard. Oh, and the writers decided to NOW use Marrow's semblance to stop characters before they can start fighting (the Ace Ops). Would have been nice to have consistent writing and have Marrow use that in the fight against RWBY. (Loved your review of JLxRWBY, btw. You put exactly how I felt into words.)
Well the reason you feel like Ironwood was nerfed was, in fact, because he WAS. I pulled this fact from the rwby wikia because I don’t have it in me to actually hunt down the quote, but, according to the Director’s commentary on episode 12, ‘the reason that Ironwood lost was because the writers felt that Team ORNJ deserved a win after losing to Neopolitan in Volume 7.’
So don’t worry, you’re not crazy. Ironwood absolutely got nerfed so MKEK could make sure JNR didn’t look like the jobbers we know they are. That’s plot armour, deus ex machina, and hand of the author at work, straight from the horse’s mouth. No one is allowed call MKEK good writers ever again, do the words 'kill your darlings' mean nothing anymore?
Anyway, this fight. It’s crap. Honestly a lot of the fights in vol8 are just really bad, that volume was just a disgrace in every way. Personal gripe: the song that plays over it, ‘Be Strong and Hit Stuff’, is probably my least favourite song on the entire vol8 album and considering all of them on the whole suck except for the one that was not written for the show, that’s a low bar. Most of why I hate this song is because Nora is without a doubt my absolute least favourite character in the whole show, but it’s also just. I’ll do song rankings one day.
It's just the same style of formulaic combat that rwby does in every fight of the entire volume. It’s just JNROW mashing their attack buttons until they get a decent combo. And the qrow and robyn and marrow vs the other ace ops scene? Don’t even talk to me about that, so Marrow suddenly has the guts to stop fighters in their tracks when it’s his old team? Vol8 really took every character I vaguely liked and put a gun to their likability (except you Watts you kept slaying, I named this blog for YOU).
I mean, real quick combat breakdown: Emerald rips off Mercury’s kick and then does nothing for the rest of the fight. Jaune and Oscar trade off ‘whack ironwood with my bladed weapon/cane’ before Ren does his stupid rope trick and decides he wants to try whack at Ironwood. Ironwood is doing great here honestly, he’s just in full boxer mode, his guard’s consistently up, he recovers quickly and adapts, he lands some good blows. Jaune and Ren also quietly drop out of the fight here, because Nora is getting powered up by Winter, somehow, even though she’s never been shown to use dust ever she suddenly uses it all the time even though her weapon lacks the same sort of dust casing as Weiss so where’s this come from you’d think she’d have used it against Cinder when she was literally getting killed but WHATEVER-
Anyway Nora gets the first major relevant hit on Ironwood because literally of course she does, we cut off to Marrow being a turncoat, and then cut back to Winter and Oscar riding a Manticore while Nora joins Jaune and Ren and Emerald in ‘not existing in this fight sequence anymore’ land, and apparently they just decided after getting one hit in they’d pause to get on an animal instead of continuing attacking, this fight makes no sense.
Anyway, Ironwood destroys the Manticore barehanded, king shit, Winter hits him with the ice dust she suddenly uses, Oscar poke attacks, and right when ironwood’s about to knock this kid out of the stratosphere, Winter uses some sort of flashy finishing move that is literally ripped from Kill La Kill I see those studio trigger sparkles. Again, also makes no fucking sense either, what even is this, and don’t tell me ‘rule of cool’ because it wasn’t cool, it was lame. And also, so much for ‘give JNRO a win’, they can’t even stick to their own favouritism because Winter does all the actual fuckin work here.
Overall scores
Story Context: 4/10
Fight Choreography: 1/10
Authorial Bullshit Intervention (Plot Armour, this time admitted to): 10/10
Emotional Investment: 4/10 (but only because I wanted Ironwood to at least megaton punch Jaune or Nora into outer space)
Deserved Outcome: 1/10
Also, thank you!! I ended up having a lot of fun writing out my JLxRWBY review, even if a lot of it was tempered by Seething Rage. Being a miserly grump sometimes is good for the soul, after all.

Okay gonna post my thoughts on V9E8 now. Took me long enough.
This was certainly an episode.
Oh boy content warning
I’m sure whatever it is will be handled with the tact and sensitivity Rooster Teeth is known for
This episode contains: graphic depictions of suicide, graphic depictions of animal abuse and animal death, violence, blood, and what is obviously someone's fetish.
It also contains the brutal murder of a beloved character's established characterization. Again.
There, I've already done a better job of tagging potentially sensitive content than Rooster Teeth ever has in its entire existence as a company. Not that hard.
Back to first-person perspective. I like this Volume’s willingness to branch out in that regard
Let it all out, Ruby. Love that she’s finally being allowed to show how hurt and bitter she is.
Oh, Ruby, that is not the bridge you want to cross
I think she’s in the Jabberwalker’s acre now, which is the last place she needs to be when she’s alone and upset and Neo is hunting her
Dafuq is this house
Is this a Neo trap or just more weird Ever After shit? Either way, I want Ruby moving as far away from it as possible
Okay it’s a Neo trap probably
I know a little about the Roman/Neo book so I’m guessing the first portrait is Neo and her parents
The second one though lmao girl you are never beating the bottom allegations
You want someone to serve so bad
Bet you’ve got a praise kink too
“What is this?” I fucking wonder, Ruby. Maybe it’s a trap you wandered into.
Okay, Roman’s new voice is… not bad, honestly, and not even bad for him, but it is distinctly different from his old one. It’s not high or nasal or hammy enough, I think. It’s like Qrow’s new voice in that I think it fits him but it’s different enough from the original voice that it bugs me. I would be fine with it if he’d been voiced this way from the start, but now I can’t help hearing the old VA.
Interesting that Neo’s illusions can talk. Not sure if this is the evolution of her Semblance or a property of the Ever After.
Oh now Ruby can whip out Crescent Rose no problem. So much for her previous hesitation. Wonder if her PTSD will get dropped like Yang’s
Nice to see Pyrrha in the new artstyle. Been too long since we heard her voice.
Yeah Roman makes a good point here
Ruby's still having zero trouble wielding Crescent Rose. What a surprise.
Let her fuckin know, Ruby
I feel like this episode kind of wants you to have read the Roman and Neo book, because even the stuff I picked up secondhand made aspects of the episode make more sense
Tree equated with death again:
"Well, if you want me dead, then come get me"
"You don't deserve to die, Red. You deserve to be broken down, torn apart, wiped from existence."
Note that this last part is said just as the leaf lands in the teacup. Neo wants Ruby deader than dead. Gone. Obliterated.
Ruby responds to the attack instinctively and with no hesitation, apparently having fully recovered from that aspect of her struggles in prior episodes.
Nice showmanship Neo, you missed your calling as an actress
So glad Ruby’s at the mercy of a supercharged Neo, no way that can end badly
Once again WBY show no sense of urgency despite knowing that Neo is out there and targeting Ruby and having recently seen Ruby be unable to lift her weapon to defend herself. It's like they've forgotten that stakes exist. You love to see it.
Get a fucking move on you four I’m kind of at the end of my patience with you here
Yang curse count goes up again, and once again it’s “damn it”. At this point she’s cursed more in this Volume than in all her previous appearances put together and I don’t really like this choice. It feels like they want to let her swear properly but are also too afraid to let her cut loose, so they’re splitting the difference and it just feels silly. Either let her cuss for real and fucking commit to the choice or treat her dialogue like everyone else’s and save the profanity for when it has any kind of actual impact like it did in Volumes 5 and 6.
I don’t know Yang maybe she ran away because you all consistently failed to give her the help she needed throughout the Volume, prioritized someone else’s pain over hers, and stood there while Jaune screamed at her. Then you specifically acted like she was a threat to Bland instead of reaching out to her. Great way to be the emotionally intelligent overprotective big sister you’ve been for the rest of the show, 10/10. I guess now that there’s nothing left of your girlfriend to massacre, the writers have started in on you.
Character Assassination: The Volume.
She tried to talk to you, Yang, but circumstances kept interrupting and then you all both failed to push hard enough when you did have time and then focused on Jaune the moment she actually managed to express her feelings
Thank you, Weiss, for being the only intelligent person in this entire season’s fucking cast. You have officially been the best character of this Volume for a while now.
Goddamn Neo’s really tearing into Ruby’s psyche
Not sure how I feel about the choice to skip more or less to Ruby’s Aura breaking. On the one hand, I don’t think we needed to see the actual fight. It’s not what’s important here. On the other hand, this Volume has really not impressed me with the action so far and I would love to have at least one good fight scene out of ten episodes.
"Are you ready for that drink yet?" Just another reminder that Neo thinks that drinking that tea means Ruby fucking dies.
Damn Pyrrha I guess you really can control poles
Too bad you died before you could show that move to Jaune
Why are half these characters here how does Neo even know some of them are dead and why does she think Ruby had anything to do with it
Literally why are Clover and Lionheart even here
Someone on this writing team really loves torturing Oscar, Jesus.
Oh great the Cat is back
Ruby says “I don’t want to be me anymore”. Yikes
What the fuck is the Cat doing hasn’t Ruby suffered enough
“I’ve been trying to wear you down for so long” you’ve known her for like 3 days dipshit don't act like this is the work of years I know your attention span is short but come on
Yeah anyone with a brain could’ve guessed you haven’t been entirely honest you’ve been giving off bad vibes since day one
Okay yeah the Gods remain dicks who casually break people and throw them away, what else is new
GET THEIR ASS LITTLE THIS IS YOUR ONE USEFUL MOMENT IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE BABY
Lmao get wrecked Cat you just got finessed
Wow. Okay. That was a moment. RIP Little you would be missed if you hadn’t been both useless and annoying as fuck throughout the entire Volume but since you were I don’t really feel anything here beyond surprise that the writers would go there. If you want me to feel sad at Little’s death, give me a reason to have an emotional attachment to them to begin with. As it is, I’m just waiting to see what Ruby’s response is. That’s the only part that matters to me.
So there are two possibilities: either this breaks her utterly, or this reignites her resolve and she goes HAM on Neo’s ass. My guess is that we go with option one, that seems to be what this Volume is building toward and it’s too early for her to recover fully.
Okay, yeah, we went there. The main character just killed herself on-screen. Fantastic. What the actual fuck is with these writers and their obsession with suicide?
Also this scene was horrendously executed but I’ll talk about that in a sec
Sorry Neo I don’t care about your mental turmoil oh boo hoo revenge feels empty and now you don’t know what to do with yourself now that you’ve accomplished all your goals. Too bad, so sad, guess you should’ve tried being less of a cunt
Everyone just stands there fucking staring. Lovely.
What the fuck does that even mean, Cat? Who writes this dialogue? It has not been on point this Volume.
Weiss gets ragdolled again lmao this is her purpose in the universe
Lmao good work rabbit creature you saved Jaune’s ass. You’re literally the only useful Afteran
Did we really need such an extended closeup of Neo getting reverse vored? Somebody got to animate their fetish this Volume and milked it for all it was worth I swear to God
Jaune’s too late again it’s his most salient trait at this point, but he still gets more points than everyone else in the cast because at least he did more than stand there staring blankly at any point during this scene
Good riddance Neo you weren’t remotely likable and I can’t make myself feel sorry for you. Get fucked.
Well that’s creepy as shit
but I guarantee you someone on the animation team is aroused by this
Anyway oh look RWBY dropped the ball at the end of the episode again, what a surprise
Most of the episode was mediocre as shit but the end was fucking godawful (just like Episode 7)
You love to see it when 4 trained and experienced combatants see their friend and leader lying beaten on the ground with an enemy standing over her and just fucking stare for 20 seconds of screentime while she drinks fucking suicide tea. Make it make sense. Good work guys you’ve kept up your fantastic track record of failing Ruby for the entire Volume.
No thoughts going on in their entire fucking heads for 20 straight seconds of runtime.
Great showing from the woman who reacted in a fraction of a second and moved on instinct to throw herself in the way of an attack an opponent in disguise launched without warning when she was exhausted after fighting for like two straight days
Great showing from the woman who moved so fast to save her partner that she crossed a platform before the comrade that partner sacrificed herself to save had even hit the ground (way to hand more ammunition to the people who say the Bees only care about each other btw)
Great showing by… Weiss, I guess. She's here. She's participating.
Great showing by Jaune too but honestly I don’t expect anything from him at this point anyway so I don’t care. The other three have the capacity to be useful, so I hold them to higher standards.
The fanbase likes to say they couldn’t have known it was suicide tea but literally who gives a fuck, they know Neo wants Ruby dead, Ruby’s on the ground having obviously gotten her ass beat, Neo’s standing triumphantly over her and sure as hell isn’t bandaging her wounds, and any one of Ruby’s teammates could cover that distance in less time than it took Ruby to raise the cup to her lips. All three of Ruby’s teammates knew everything they needed to know to have a reason to defend her. All three of them have canonically demonstrated the ability to cross the distance between their entry point and Ruby/Neo in seconds at most and have made this exact kind of snap decision in combat situations on-screen. Yang should’ve been firing her gauntlets and parking her ass between Ruby and Neo the moment she saw what was going on, not standing there and drooling like she’d been spontaneously lobotomized the moment she walked into Neo’s House of Horrors and Blake and Weiss should’ve been right behind her
Yang has officially been killed. We now have two corpse-puppets being piloted around by foul necromantic magic and pretending to be characters I once knew and loved. I’m assuming Weiss is next somehow, can’t wait to see what travesties they inflict upon her.
This really is Character Assassination: The Volume, I was like 50% joking before but now I’m not joking at all holy shit I genuinely think the writers hate their characters at this point
Either that or they’re so staggeringly incompetent that they don’t even understand their characters
Tumblr media
I bet they blame this shit on the animators again
Somebody please teach these bungling assclowns the absolute basics of screenwriting I am begging you on hands and knees how do you work on a show for a decade and still learn nothing how do you have decades of collective experience and still suck this much it defies belief
Really not sure how I feel about having Neo talk through her illusions but I don’t expect Rooster Teeth to give a shit about a character’s disability in any capacity at this point
Overall rating: DEAR GOD THIS IS AWFUL/10

Jaune sacrificing himself this volume would be infuriating to me because it would mean he decided he was okay with dying without properly saying goodbye to Nora, Ren, or Oscar. (Extra points if it’s to bring Pyrrha back essentially stranding her in the mortal world without the boy she loved or any choice in the matter). Honestly there are very few future paths for Jaune that don’t seem cruel, assuming he’s spent the last decades alone in the Ever After as himself (more or less) and not been subsumed into an entirely different consciousness as the Rusted Knight.
In the BEST case, he goes back to Remnant physically youthful but with 30 years of extra memories setting him apart from all of his friends (except maybe Oscar). My fear is that he’s going to stay an older man and have permanently lost the chance to spend his youth with the people he loves, with his physical age emphasizing how he can no longer be their peer… Sorry for the essay in your ask box lol but I’m extremely worried for Jaune because I think he deserves better than what the writers might be setting up to throw at him
Rest assured that imo there's no way that Jaune is dying. I know it's one of the FNDM's favorite pastimes to start doomsaying about the imminent death of whichever character is the most Sad (Qrow still hasn't escaped it despite him not dying being the point of him), but I have no doubt that Jaune will survive to the end.
I have no idea how CRWBY will go about the whole "mentally decades older than everyone else" if that ends up being the case, but they aren't leaving him behind in the Ever After either.

Same anon from the Tyrisummer ask - are there any other rwby ships you like that aren't that well known?
Hello again, Anon! And yes, I am a very big fan of many different less popular rwby ships, because the majority of the canon ships I loathe (not you taisummer you can stay), and a lot of the commonly popular ships don't do it for me either (not you freezerburn and ladybug you can also stay).
So here's a non exhaustive list of obscure-ish rwby ships I like, which I may or may not have discussed before:
Nora/May Marigold: if Nora lived in Antares this would be endgame this is MY SHIP
Ruby/Marrow: my need to make ruby aroace vs my adoration of 'little red riding hood X the big bad wolf'-themed ships
Elm/Ironwood: I'll be dead before I stop shipping this they're so soft
Yang/Mercury: this isn't even that obscure I just need to rep my favs
Theo/Leo: I love old gay war veterans (canon theo does not exist to me I see only Old Cowboy Theo (also featured in azre btw shoutout to azre))
Marrow/Adam: I'll die on the 'childhood best friends to idealistically-opposed to lovers' hill
Tai/Oobleck: they dated.
Marcus/Neo: It's the hamster with a banana meme if the hamster was a yandere
BRIR polycule: Sisterhood of Evil WLW Huntresses (them not being the true villains of arrowfell was a cop-out)
Vernal/Weiss: the princessXbandit vibes are immaculate, this was the real butch/femme rwby ship dynamic all along
Sun/Mercury: Mercury at all times deserves a buff blonde with big tits and a bigger heart
Clover/Watts: I'll ship this just for the shipname alone (it's 'phishing' btw)
Sun/Ruby: also not obscure technically but they're so qpr that I made a playlist for them
and finally,
the one that got me vagued on fucking
UQUIZ
Clover/Robyn: I know this uqiz was talking about me specifically because it mentioned that lucky shot had a fanfic and at the time I had the only purely Lucky Shot fic up on ao3 (no qrow involved), if nothing else can be my legacy I want it to be this.☘️🏹

RWBY Volume 9 Episode 10: Of Solitude and Self
i have thoughts. here are some of those thoughts.
I am going...to try and keep this in chronological order, but it's midnight, and I tend to ramble the longer I've been awake. So bear with me.
First off, okay, so we're definitely going to get details of exactly what happened with Summer later down the line. Presumably, she, Raven, and Qrow ('cause who else would Raven have portaled too yanno), along with maybe some others who knows, went on the offensive vs Mommy Salami and things didn't work out. If that's the case, boy does that color Qrow's character even further. It's no wonder he used to stay far away from the people he cares about. Also wow Raven nice to see you again, been a couple of volumes.
I'm glad that Rubes got to have a sort of posthumous pep-talk from her mother, even if it's something as simple as "I love you the way you are". I appreciate that she didn't need to be talk-no-jutsu'd into getting the theme of the volume, but rather it's a conclusion she came to herself. After a whole volume of seeing her all morose and depressed, it put the biggest smile on my face to see her finally accept that she is Ruby Rose, and that's all she's ever needed to be.
On a less profound note
WHOOOO RED LIKE ROSES PART III FUCK YEAH BABY THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS IS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT. Whoever animated that first little sequence of Ruby going ham on the cat with Crescent Rose? I want to kiss you. You deserve the world. Brings me right back to volume 1. (Was it Arryn? I feel like it was Arryn considering how much they love Soul Eater but I can't remember if they've done any combat sequences aaaah)
The Cat got the shit kicked out of them in a great team fight. Doing a whole ass 5 v 1, even with someone as formidable as the CC in the fray, couldn't have been easy to choreograph, so props to the whole team on that one for making it feel sick. The Cat is a bit of a more tragic character in retrospect with the tale the Blacksmith told (also--the Ever After is the primordial world? The Brothers didn't make it? Shit, color me surprised), but at the same time...yeah RIP Bozo.
'Twas curiosity that killed the cat or something like that idk
The fuckin piano reprise of This Will Be the Day oh my GOOOOOD. Chills. The music in this volume has been absolutely phenomenal. Of course there are the vocal tracks, but the score??? Martin Gonzalez you beautiful man. Bless your heart, bless your body, bless your soul.
Neo. Neo Neo Neo. Neopolitan, baby girl...I'm gonna miss you, as I'm sure a lot of people will. Even the people who hate this show like you because you're just so much fun. I remember back in the day when I was a kid and unironically used the word waifu to describe female characters I was fixated on, you were my precious little Ice Cream Wife and I would burn the world for you. It's so weird thinking about your origins as a character (Inspired by a genderbent Torchwick cosplay, Monty threw you in at the last second in order to not have to animate Torchwick escaping...though I'm sure there's more to it than that), to how you've progressed, to where you are now. This is the last we're gonna get of you for now, I'm sure. But at the same time, I can totally see you showing up for the final fight vs Salem or Cinder or whoever to get your licks in. You were a welcome addition this volume, even if you DID drive Ruby to drink the Bad Tea. It's hard to hate you when you're so fucking cute.
I am...not going to pretend to not be a little disappointed that Boomer Jaune was but a temporary thing. When The Blacksmith was talking about Alyx fixing what she'd broken, I was expecting like, idk, his sword to be repaired, but I quickly realized that she wasn't even the one who did that, and then I was like "oh no" and before I knew it, BAM back at it again with the yee-yee ass haircut. At least next volume comes with new designs so we won't have to deal with that any longer. I appreciate the streaks of grey, symbolizing that it's not like he's regressed in any way, but...Jauney Boy, get that wolf's tail back. You rocked that shit.
That's all I can bring myself to write down for now. I'm sure I'll be talking about this episode--and this whole volume--for a WHILE. I'm gonna sit on it for a bit, but I think it might take volume 6's spot for my favorite of the bunch, which is impressive because volume 6 is hella good y'all. Thank you so much to the crew (GOD I hope certain people who worked on this volume return for the next one, I could feel the love they have for the craft and for this show and I've adored getting to see their thoughts on each episode as it aired these past few weeks) and everyone involved in bringing to us. It's been rough lately, that's for sure, but I mean it when I say that RWBY is one of my favorite shows out there, and I wish nothing but the best for its future and the future of everyone who brought it to life.
now I wait probably about a year or so to see Nora/Ren/Sun's reaction to Blake and Yang finally getting together. Until then, I will drown myself in fanfiction.

First of all CONGRATS for finishing! It could not have been easy (I say as I remember all the times you were sore, bruised, and/or sick while trying to write a chapter LIKE BRUH), especially when each and every chapter is god tier. Seriously homie, you’re amazing!!
But FOR REAL WTF?? these dudes keep working after having infiltrated a massive fucking whale, stopped a Grimm invasion, got exploded to bits, and fought an immortal milf? Babes pls get some. Idk. SLEEP.
Naw but i really do love to see it. Also especially love to see how much they support each other through it 🥹 honestly the highlight of the chapter for me.
GOD like this moment when all of RWBY hug is HNNNNGSOZHBEHAOXH
Blake and Weiss joined the hug by some unspoken signal. Ruby melted into their embrace like so many petals and Blake's heart melted with her. "I missed you guys."
THEY ARE FAMILY OKAY AND I JUST GXHWIYZBXOYWNJ
Ruby is being particularly adorable too (the carrots line killed me 💀) but also like GURL YOU ARE LITERALLY BLIND RN STAY IN BED??
Yang nodded. "We'll get through it. Speaking of getting through things…can we talk?"
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yang shuddered at her touch. Their lips brushed when Blake continued: "Let's skip that part this time."
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
THOSE TWO ARE SO *frantic arm gestures* YKNOW??? Im happy they got a happy ending because yeah I doubted it for sec okay 😩
LMAO at the reoccurring Oscar interruption but wait FUCK THE KID IS FUCKING DYING?? UGH god I didn’t expect the Oscar and Ozpin thing to hurt as much as it did. Ozpin deserves good things too dammit whyyy 😭😭
GODDAMN Adam and Blake conversations are always so top tier is2g. There’s something I love so much about this conversation brooo. Blake’s resolve and care towards him just 🥹 UGH. her unwavering stares? Easily expressed gratitude? Instant forgiveness (nothing to really forgive cuz like corruption feels like shit and pretty violating and traumatizing tbh fr but she does it anyway to help him feel better ANDANDAND—)? THE LETTER???
OWHXISOWHXNIWOEUDNCKEIHWKFIW I JUST LOVE IT WHEN SOMEONE CARES ABOUT HIM AND HE FEELS IT OKAY
And FUCK I love this part
He swallowed and looked away, unsure how to respond to that. He didn't want to say "You're welcome," because they weren't, and this was never going to happen again. Even if, in some small corner of his heart, the knowledge that he'd helped to save the world like some kind of fantasy hero radiated a gentle heat that would warm him for a long time to come.
YOU DIDNT HAVE TO GO THAT HARD HOMIE IM ALREADY CRYIN 😭
Also LIVING for Neo and Adam team up. Neo’s expressive mannerisms are genuinely so fun to read UGH it’s PERFECT. And the “Don’t stay too long” for Qrow OAISBXOIENWOWIDN
He clipped Blush to his belt and let the spark flare unhindered.
Homie when I tell that IM FUCKING LIVING FOR THISS
"'Part of starting over is saying goodbye. You were first; now it's my turn. If you want to, you'll see me again.
"'Goodbye, Blake.'"
OWJDNEOWHNDDIJENEIDNXIEUWNDIFUENEIDIXJNWO IM EMOTIONAL
wait omfg I think I forgot to mention to Jaune 💀 I don’t hate him I swear The way his semblance and aura are practically working against each other is a REALLY interesting and nice touch, and i don’t think ive ever seen it applied like this. And I love his “i went from nothing to nothing line” and how he’s just so glad he was able to save somebody. 🥹 it captured that part of his character so well and tbh the same goes for all the others (me @ ruby rn is going “bitch is you BLIND”). It’s a really neat touch to the chapter!!
I can't tell if you've read the epilogue yet, but either way I am injecting every keysmash in this message directly into my veins. Your reviews were one of the things I most looked forward to when writing a new chapter - I was excited to see which lines you'd specifically comment on. You're probably at least 20% of the reason this story got finished at all lol.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for never failing to bring a smile to my face when commenting 😊
