Today we celebrate Rin Shibuya's birthday, the original idol for me. I discovered imas many years ago when doing some library work and Rin was an near instant favorite for me. I sort of forgot about it, but then saw the anime after friends told me about it. I love Rin's 'straight man' approach to humor, her wonderful voice and songs, her design and love of dogs; she also has AMAZING costumes that I'm hoping to get my hands on. I'd argue she's influenced a lot of my taste in idol girls as seen with Umi, Maki and Dia to say the least haha.
