Moon 160-Greenleaf
The Clan is adjusting to having a dark-cursed cat as its leader once more.  Creekstar (14) is young and has never had an apprentice, but she and Fry (67) work well together so far.  Chervilcry (139) and Peakspots (129) are the only cats in the Clan who remember a time before Yuccawillow was their leader.  Peakspots remembers how strong the Clan was with his mom at its head, and Chervilcry agonizes over how leadership changed her sibling.  Will it change Creekstar too?  Peakspots feels like he  never truly knew his mate.  How could they do that?  Kill their Clanmates? In light of the last moon’s revelations, he has decided that they are no longer his mate.  The kits, despite being young, have picked up on the mood in the Clan.  Riftkit (1) is trying to cheer up Peakspots by sharing his prey with him.  But Brightkit (2) cares less about cheering up the elder.  She steals a feather from him and destroys it when he tries to get it back.  Daisykit (1)  really likes hanging out with Chervilcry and makes sure to ask how the old mediator is doing.  Primkit (2) knows that it was something she did that got Yuccawillow exiled.  She’s just not sure what.  She wants to sneak out of camp with Chiku (94) to go find the former leader, but Chiku stops her.  He explains that Yuccawillow probably would have hurt her because of her powers.  That’s why it’s good that Creekstar’s in charge now.  While Creekstar has risen to the place she belongs, Pigeonspot (29) is feeling a little out of place in the Clan.  She’s the only earth-blessed warrior and she can’t seem to find a place in the Clan like Rustsong (29) did.  She stares longingly at the cats sharing tongues in the cavern and wishes she had someone she felt comfortable doing that with.  The nursery has a bit of a scare when Goldenkit (2) rushes at Primkit on a wave of water.  Thankfully, Primkit lashes out with fire and not something darker. . .Amethystdapple (87) and Fry are a little intimidated, and Creekstar takes both kits aside and teaches them about the importance of control.  They’re both a little shaken, but otherwise unharmed.

Where the Lifeline of Your Sleep Dreams Good Fortune
Take me down to where the jukeboxes wear brass knuckles, howl like wild dogs, and play our favorite songs again and again. The place where hatemongers and rustsongers have grown extinct. Where no gun alive ever rests in our palms, or writes our psalms. Take me to the place where the wind steals the suicide note from the lonely man’s hand and offers him a ticket to lighter, freer days. The place…

Moon 174-Leaf-fall
With leaf-fall starting, the leaf-bare may prove to be a rough one if the senior Healers can’t recover.  Fennelpaw (10) is a little embarrassed that her stomach ache has progressed into diarrhea.  It feels wrong to talk to her brothers about her dirt.  But Asterpaw (10), as non-squeamish as ever, tells her to make sure she keeps drinking water.  The stress has gotten to Asterpaw though, and he’s developed a minor running nose.   Hopefully it won’t turn into whitecough or greencough.  With so many cats sick, Creekstar (28) has decided to make Daisypaw (15) a warrior.  She worries that the young cat’s nerves may cost her life in battle, but she gives her the name of Daisyfreeze, honoring her logic.  Fry (81) is also a little worried about his granddaughter, as he heard a rumor that she doesn’t want to fight anything.  That won’t go over well in a warrior.  Brightfern (16) has been trying to get to know her father’s other relatives and decides to share prey with Rustsong (43), her sister-in-law.  Meanwhile, her nephew (Finchbelly-15) is telling embarrassing stories about when Fennelpaw was a kit.  She’s already embarrassed enough about her diarrhea as it is!  Daisyfreeze hopes she gets to patrol with Primcrest (16) soon-she feels safe with the dark-cursed cat around.  It’s nice knowing she can kill any enemies they encounter.  Marshdapple (65), being new to the Clan and being cared for by two apprentices, doubts their skill.  Asterpaw bristles after being scolded by her.  Goldenkit (4) is jealous of the attention Fennelpaw has been getting lately.  Why can’t her mom pay more attention to her!  Marshdapple is glad that she and Sleepyfoot (40) are in the nursery together.  She thinks the other mother is very admirable.  And she can help with the health issues Tornkit (1) is developing. It turns out that he is paralyzed.  That hasn’t stopped him from sparring with Chervilcry (153) though!  One of Marshdapple’s other kits, Lightkit (1), doesn’t understand why Poolpaw (10) won’t play with him.  He’s always around camp.  And busy caring for sick cats.

Moon 172-Greenleaf
Unfortunately, Halfnoise (13) was right to be concerned about Gladepatch (47).  He was working himself too hard trying to teach two apprentices and care for the Clan.  While reaching for some herbs (seeming to forget that he could either make them grow towards him or pull the land they were on towards him), he fell in the river and inhaled a lot of water.  He’s on bedrest while he heals, leaving the two apprentices by themselves.  It’s going to be challenging, but at least it’s greenleaf and there shouldn’t be too much illness. Chervilcry (151) is feeling old and cranky.  She thinks that the young cats are quite annoying.  Halfnoise isn’t very considerate of others and Fennelpaw (8) never does anything useful.  She quite prefers the company of fellow old cat Peakspots (141).  She even hopes that she dreams of him at night.  Peakspots has been encouraging her, a bit, and brings her some pretty flowers back from a patrol.  Fry (79) has been having constant nightmares lately, following the death of Conegoat, and is struggling to sleep.  He feels like Sleepyfoot (38) is downplaying his own concerns over his health.  Meanwhile, Sleepyfoot is preoccupied caring for her kits-both those in the nursery and the apprentices.  Having six young cats to care for at once is challenging!  What was she thinking? Caring for kits is also wearing on Pigeonspot (41) and the two got into an argument.  Pigeonspot also does not notice Elmkit (2) sneaking out of camp.  She returns a little while later, unscathed.   Wildcave (55), meanwhile, is ready to have more kits.  Rustsong (41) is not.  She thinks they should wait at least until Daisypaw (13) is made a warrior.  Gladepatch is developing a bit of a crush on Rabbitfur (28).  Sure she’s mean to him, but that makes her all the more appealing, right?  Apparently he’s not the only one who likes mean cats, because Brightfern (14) has been noticing just how beautiful Rabbitfur’s eyes are.  In the medicine den, Asterpaw (8) has taken to sharing what he’s been learning about herbs with his brothers, to help him remember.  Glowpaw (8) is listening carefully as he explains the purpose behind yarrow.

Moon 171-Greenleaf
Finchpaw (12) and Halfpaw (12) have been made warriors!  Finchpaw has been given the name of Finchbelly, honoring his courage, and Halfpaw is now Halfnoise, honoring his valiance.  That leaves Daisypaw (12) alone as the last remaining one of Wildcave (54) and Rustsong’s (40) kits who is an apprentice.  She’s annoyed that her mentor hasn’t been paying much attention to her and wishes that she could be a warrior with her brothers.  Speaking of her family, her grandpaw, Fry (78), and Creekstar (25) have proven that they make a good team.  Fry’s experience and easy-going demeanor balance out Creekstar’s youth and excitability.  Fry is proud of how he and his kits have found a place in the Clan. Primcrest (13) always thought that, once she was made a warrior and proven, Fry would retire from the deputyship and she would take over.  Fry explains that she most likely will, but only after she’s had an apprentice.  Primcrest understands, and looks at Elmkit (1) and Goldenkit (1).  Maybe one of them will be her apprentice?   Halfnoise knows that, since Conegoat died, Gladepatch has had to take on more responsibility in the healer's den.  He hopes that he’s taking his own personal health seriously.  Fennelpaw (7) is proud of her Healer apprentice brothers.  Poolpaw (7) takes such good care of all of his patients, and Fennelpaw doesn’t even mind taking orders from him.  Internally, though Poolpaw is freaking out.  There’s so much to learn and he’s a bit overwhelmed.  Sleepyfoot (37) and Cypressbadger (37) have been spending more time together since their mom died.  They spar when Cypressbadger visits her nieces in the nursery.  Sleepyfoot enjoys raising her kits with Pigeonspot (40), but she can’t help but stare at Pigeonspot’s sister.  She knows Rustsong is happy with Wildcave, but what would she think about having multiple mates. . .

Moon 167-Leaf-bare
Sadly, Toriel (104) couldn’t beat redcough and passed away.  Shard (64) is still hanging on though!  But her wound is infected.  The Healers are worried that she won’t make it, even with their hard work.  It is leaf-bare, after all.  In the mediator’s den, Chervilcry (146) has always assumed that, because Pigeonspot (36) is an earth-blessed warrior, her life must be easy.  She realizes she was wrong after she notices how out of place Pigeonspot seems to feel.  Meanwhile, Amethystdapple (94) had hoped that, after raising their kits together, she would get along better with her step daughter-in-law.  Not so.  She still finds Rustsong (36) annoying, and the feeling is mutual.  Rustsong herself is quite protective of her kits.  She wants to make sure that even the weaker powered/powerless ones have a good life in the Clan. It feels a little weird to Fry’s (74) kits to be apprenticed at the same time as their niece and nephews.  Finchpaw (8) really looks up to his aunts and uncle and lifts up his chin when passing by Primpaw (9). The four remaining kits are getting along well.  After a long day of playing mossball, Poolkit (3) finally settles down and takes a nap with Asterkit (3).  Aww!  Primpaw is a little frustrated by how close an eye the older cats keep on her.  She gets that she’s unproven, but she just wishes she could leave camp without supervision!  Meanwhile, Fennelkit (3) is fascinated by the stories of the dark forest.  And Yuccawillow, who now resides there.  Interesting.  While on a patrol with her brother, as a break from her kits, Featherspeck (23) is attacked by a wolverine and dies.  This leaves her young kits without their mother.

Moon 165-Leaf-bare
Despite the healers' best efforts, Goldenpaw (7) caught greencough and died.  Amethystdapple (92) and Fry (72) are shocked to have lost a kit and wish there was something they could have done to protect her.  Chervilcry (144) is sad to have lost her first apprentice and the hope of the Clan having a mediator when she retires.  In brighter news, Rustsong (34) and Wildcave’s (48) kits have been made apprentices. Finchpaw (6) has been apprenticed to Pigeonspot (34).  The warrior is excited to have her first apprentice, even if Finchpaw is powerless.  Daisypaw (6) has been apprenticed to Rabbitfur (21), giving her her first apprentice.  She’s a little disappointed, as Daisypaw’s wind magic is so weak she may as well be powerless.  But oh well.  An apprentice is better than no apprentice.  And she finally beat her sister at something!  Halfpaw (6) has been apprenticed to Chiku (99) , in hopes that the warrior’s responsibility will balance out his adventurous tendencies.  Riftpaw (6) has been given to Fry, to help the young cat lighten up a bit.  The nursery feels a little empty without so many kits around.  But the apprentices' den is full!  And Palekit (5)doesn’t mind having some extra space, at least for a little while.  It turns out that part of the reason he is having trouble fitting in is because he can’t see out of one of his eyes and cats keep startling him.  Meawhile, Gladepatch (41) is proud of how much more open to dark-cursed cats the Clan has become.  Primpaw (7) doesn’t have to face anywhere near as much prejudice as Creekstar (19) did when she was an apprentice.  And she doesn’t seem to hate or fear her powers like Gladepatch’s father and son did.  The changes in the Clan are good.  An injured former loner named Shard (62) joins the Clan.  She has a water-blessing, and her name reminds Chervilcry of Shardfrost.  Could it be a coincidence?

Moon 162-Leaf-fall
Apparently spending so much time around the kits has grown on Featherspeck (18), because she has announced that she is expecting kits.  Huh.  Wonder who the other parent is.  Chervilcry (141) finds comfort in spending time with the kits.  They remind her of when she was in the nursery with Chasingskip, Sandypaw, and Newtkit.  How she misses them!  She play fights with Brightkit (4) and tries to boost Daisykit’s (3) confidence.  Frostheart (65) and Wormdart (18) continue to clash.  Wormdart scolds her for not using her powers to pin down a bird she missed the other day, and she snaps at him that not everyone is as powerful as he and his sisters.  Wildcave (45) has been feeling a little salty towards Gladepatch (38), since it is basically the Healer’s fault that Wildcave was demoted from deputy.  But after Gladepatch helps him heal, he realizes that he was too harsh in his judgment of him.  Creekstar (16) makes sure to spend a lot of time with Primkit (4).  She understands what it’s like to have such deadly power at her claws and wants to make sure that the young cat understands it but does not fear herself.  It’s not such a bad thing to be dark-cursed.  Rabbitfur (18) loves having a full nursery.  It means that she has a great audience to her preach about morals.  The kits are not as thrilled.  Rustsong (31) and Amethystdapple (89) love having her around-her lectures are a sure way to get the kits to fall asleep!  The Clan also welcomes several new cats: a powerless former kittypet with redcough named Toriel (99) and a powerless abandoned kit named Palekit (2).  Creekstar decides to keep both of them around.  She’s been judged for having powers, so she doesn’t want to judge others for their powers or lack of them.

Moon 161-Greenleaf
Rumors reach the Clan that the exiled Yuccawillow (140) has died.  The Clan does not mourn her, and Creekstar (15) and Gladepatch (37) can’t help but feel a little relieved.  Gladepatch has also heard from StarClan that they were sent to the dark forest.  As she deserved.  The Clan will be telling tales of the corrupted star-blessed leader for generations.  Hopefully it will help with the prejudices against cats based on their powers.  The Clan is a bit more shaken when Chaskingskip (73) is killed in a landslide caused by early greenleaf rains.  Chervilcry (140) feels like the world has ended with the death of her last kit.  One day, the Clan will have kittens who never knew Chasingskip in life, but Chervilcry vows to ensure that Chasingskip’s memory will live on through her.  Sleepyfoot (27) and Cypressbadger  (27) comfort her, although they too are mourning the loss of their mother.  Sleepyfoot is hit especially hard, with her death coming so soon after Caterpillarmallow’s.  She sists vigil that night as grief fills her heart.  She keeps searching for tasks to do, cats to comfort, distractions against the hole in her heart, as she fights to keep the grief from consuming her.   Meanwhile, Frostheart (64) realizes that she is one of the most senior warriors in the Clan.  It feels weird, because she was always the youngest one of her siblings, who are now all gone.  She decides to spend some time with the youngest of the warriors.  She enjoys spending time with Rabbitfur (17), but Wormdart (17) has proven to be a little unreliable.  She asked him for help with a camp chore, and he abandoned her.  How rude!  Another senior warrior, Amethystdapple (88) is feeling a little cramped in a full nursery.  She loves her kits, but she watches Cypressbadger leave camp with longing.  How she wishes she could go out on patrol.  But she needs to stay in camp.  Her kits are all quite powerful and she doesn’t want to risk leaving and having them burn the camp down!  (or having Primkit-3- accidentally kill someone. . .)  Also in the nursery, Rustsong (30) is a little intimidated by raising kits that are more powerful than her.  Riftkit (2) especially is proving to be a handful.  Volcanoblossom (88) decides to take it upon herself to tell the other cat about how she cared for her own kits, but Rustsong is distracted.  No, Riftkit, don’t light your sister on fire!  Featherspeck (17) feels a little upset that she hasn’t been given more responsibility in the Clan yet.  She’s powerful. She should be doing more to help, but instead she’s stuck entertaining squirrely kits.  Joy.

Moon 157-Newleaf
Things were going so well in the Clan.  Key word: were.  Amethystdapple (84) had moved into the nursery and Rustsong (26)  had announced that she was expecting kits.  But then Caterpillarmallow (106) was found murdered.  The culprit is unknown, but Featherspeck (13) picks up faint traces of ElementClan scent by the scene.  Peakspots (126) wasn’t a big fan of Caterpillarmallow, but she was his clanmate, first and foremost.  He bows his head at the vigil respectfully.  Cressfreckle (73), Conegoat (40), and Gladepatch (33) have a suspect though:  Yuccastar (136).  Their mate didn’t like Caterpillarmallow, so maybe they murdered her for him.  Their suspicions remain unproven, though.  Chasingskip (69), despite her somewhat rough relationship with the mother of her kits, is sad to see Caterpillarmallow go.  She was such a special cat.  Cypressbadger (23) and Sleepyfoot (23) are devastated by the loss of their mother.  Cypressbadger keeps close to her friends and clanmates, seeking out their comfort and company.  Sleepyfoot listens to memories shared of Caterpillarmallow.  Some of them make her laugh, others make her cry.  Most of them do both.  She misses her mom, but is glad that she is with Burrowpaw in StarClan now.  With feeling like he’s failed by not exposing Yuccastar sooner, Cressfreckle is testy.  He’s complaining that Featherspeck and Pigeonspot never do anything helpful (even though they do).  Conegoat notices this, deduces the real reason behind his mood, and reassures him that Caterpillarmallow’s death wasn’t his fault. Cressfreckle still decides to do some more investigating of Yuccastar (subtly, of course), and the three of them decide to tell Sleepyfoot and Cypressbadger their suspicions.  Sleepyfoot believes them and gives Yuccastar bitter herbs on purpose.  Cypressbadger is less sure.  Creekpaw (11) has also been told about her family’s suspicions.  As such, she’s reluctant to spar with Yuccastar today.  But she does anyways because she understands that it’s necessary that she doesn’t suspect anything.
Meta: In the game, it is still (up to where I've played as of queuing this post) unknown who Caterpillarmallow's killer was. I just recently checked the code (as in, a week before this post went public) and it turns out that Peakspots was actually the one who killed her! But I didn't know that when I was writing these moons and it would have changed a lot later on. So, in canon, Yuccastar killed her. It just makes sense.

Moon 150-Leaf-fall
The three wind-blessed kits have been made apprentices!  Featherpaw (6) has been apprenticed to Cypressbadger (16).  Despite the young warrior’s relative inexperience, she is the most powerful wind-blessed cat in the Clan and thus the best suited to keeping Featherpaw’s wind magic under control.  They can’t have her blowing down trees while they’re out on patrol!  Rabbitpaw (6) has been apprenticed to Frostheart (53) and is already settling into the apprentice den and gossipping.  Wormpaw (6) has been apprenticed to Amethystdapple (77) and has been getting along with her swimmingly.  Speaking of swimming, Whistlekit (5) has been enjoying playing around with her water powers (under her mother’s careful supervision).  She’s been enjoying creating a bubble of water out of the leaf-fall rain.  She still splashes her siblings sometimes, but she’s getting better at control (and sometimes the splashing is on purpose).  Creekkit (4) and Songkit (4)  have remained undiscovered for another moon.  Gladepatch (26) is beginning to hope that they’ll stay that way until they’re apprentices.  Or even until they’ve proven themselves like Shadestar did. He just wants them to be safe. Creekkit has taken to slipping out of camp to practice with her powers.  Gladepatch and Cressfreckle (66) understand how important it is that she masters her abilities, so they encourage her to sneak out and sometimes supervise her.  She understands why she needs to train, but sometimes she just wants to be a kit and play around.   Rustsong (19) has been spending more time with Wildcave (33) lately.  Being powerless, she wants to make sure she knows how to spar with a powered cat.  And it helps that he seems to enjoy spending time with her.  He even gave her a pretty flower!

Moon 178-Leaf-bare
ElementClan just cannot catch a break this leaf-bare.  Rustsong (47) had just announced that she was moving into the nursery with kits when she vanished into the night.  Over the next several nights, Finchbelly (19), Wormdart (34), Shard (75), Palejumble (18), Marshdapple (69), Volcanoblossom (105), Goldenpaw (8), Fenneltuft (14), and Frostheart (81) all vanish.  While on a patrol, Poolpaw (14) finds all of their dead, frozen bodies in a pit.  No one can determine what killed them.  There are whispers in the Clan, directed towards the two dark-cursed cats.  They survived, while earth, wind, water, and fire-blessed cats all died.  Is it a sign of dissatisfaction from StarClan?  Creekstar (32) worries it may be a sign from somewhere else.  Yuccawillow is in the Dark Forest.  Is this her way of taking revenge on the Clan? Meanwhile, in said Dark Forest, Yuccawillow is tending to a recent wound-maybe from killing all those cats? Wildcave (61) is devastated by the loss of his mate and kit.  But he makes sure to check on his surviving kit, Halfnoise (19), before indulging in his own mourning.  It’s all he can do not to collapse, but caring for the cats around him has always brought him comfort in times of need.  He trembles, tearing at his nest, unable to sleep as he broods over Rustsong’s last moments.  Did she suffer?  Was she scared?  Wildcave can’t shake the crushing guilt.  Cypressbadger (44) is also especially shaken by Rustsong’s death.  She stares at her best friend’s body, waiting for the nightmare to end.  Cypressbadger never considered the possibility that she’d one day be without Rustsong.  She visits her grave, gazing blankly, unmovingly, at the ground for hours on end.  Amethystdapple (105) is grateful that her immediate family survived unscathed.  She enjoys some time sparring with Fry (85) and checks in on Poolpaw to make sure he’s eating.  Gladepatch (54) is having a hard time caring for all the sick, grieving, and injured cats.  And on top of that, his last connection to his parents, his aunt Frostheart, just died.  There is also some tension amidst the Healer apprentices.  Poolpaw accuses Asterpaw (14) of cheating-there’s no way he could win so many practice fights fairly!  And there’s no one to mediate their fight with the death of Chervilcry.  Glowquake (14) doesn’t want any more of his loved ones to die.  He’s determined to protect them, now more so than ever.  Elmpaw (8) is determined to learn everything she can and is distracting herself from the death of her sister with more training.  Primcrest (20) wants a break.  Sadly, while Amethystdapple’s immediate family may have survived, she herself does not.  While on a patrol with Halfnoise (19) (her step-nephew) and Chiku (112), the patrol is attacked by a dog that ChaffinchClan led into their territory and she dies.
Meta: Here's a 'fun' fact. Frostheart was both the youngest of Brightfalcon's kits and the one who lived to be the oldest.

Moon 175-Leaf-fall
Gladepatch (51) and Sleepyfoot (41) are feeling better.  Asterpaw (11) and Poolpaw (11) are very relieved.  Taking care of the Clan with just the two of them was hard!  Unfortunately, Lightkit (2) has gotten greencough.  If it spreads to Tornkit (2) he’ll have a hard time shaking it. It turns out that Creekstar’s (29) fears over Daisyfreeze’s (16) safety were quite warranted.  Just the moon after she became a warrior, she was found dead near the TulipClan border.  Her brothers and parents are shaken.  Rustsong (44) and Wildcave (58) will miss their only girl.  Finchbelly (16) and Halfnoise (16) are shocked to find themselves the only survivors of their four kit litter.  Glowpaw (11) is feeling shaken by the loss of another young cat.  Chervilcry (154) promises that she’ll always look out for him.  Gladepatch is grateful for all the hard work the apprentices took in caring for him and takes a moment out of his day to share tongues with Poolpaw. With Sleepyfoot back to working in the Healer’s den, Pigeonspot (44) is taking responsibility in caring for their kits.  She plays with the ever so talkative Elmkit (5), who just wants to tell her how she knows so much about fighting.  Yeah right-maybe that’ll be true once she’s an apprentice!  Meanwhile, Cypressbadger (41) is getting in fights with everyone.  She argues with Frostheart (78) and Frecklekit (2).  What is up with her?  Well, it turns out she is feeling ignored and unappreciated in the Clan.  Her sister is busy with kits and she caught Brightfern (17) complaining about her behind her back.  Meanwhile, Brightfern’s sister, Primcrest (17), is doing quite well. Creekstar is quite proud of her former apprentice.  Primcrest fought bravely in a border skirmish with TulipClan and with great control over her powers.  She’ll be ready for an apprentice soon-and then she can become deputy.  Creekstar has also enjoyed spending more time with Wildcave.  She loves his sense of humor and how she can make him laugh, over and over.

Moon 166-Leaf-bare
Palepaw (6) has been apprenticed to Rustsong (35), as she’s pretty much the only powerless cat in the Clan who doesn’t have an apprentice.  Actually, there are very few cats in the Clan who don’t have apprentices right now.  Creekstar (20) may need to double up on some, although she doesn’t want to.  Despite having an apprentice of his own now and his kits being out of the nursery, Fry (73) makes sure to spend some time with the remaining kits.  He challenged Glowkit (2) to spar with him and has a great time playing with him. Rabbitfur (22) is not a fan of the apprentices.  She feels like Primpaw (8) is always getting in the way and that Brightpaw (8) is too cold and unhelpful.  She’s not even a big fan of her own apprentice, Daisypaw (7).  Poolkit (2) has already proven himself to be quite the trouble maker.  And also good at getting out of it.  He always offers to help out in the  healer's den instead of taking his punishment.  It’s hard to discourage that behavior.  Primpaw really enjoys being the leader’s apprentice, and showing off what she’s learned.  She’s showing Fennelkit (2) how to do a hunter’s crouch.  Conegoat (49) feels like she’s falling in love with Rustsong.  Is it weird, being in love with her brother’s mate?  Probably.  But she can’t control who she falls for.  Sleepyfoot (32), despite having kits of her own with Featherspeck (22) now, has been prancing around in front of Pigeonspot (35).  Featherspeck notices and feels like Pigeonspot should tell her to stop.  Sleepyfoot’s not very considerate of others.  Creekstar has remained close to Conegoat, since the Healer helped protect her when she was a kit.  She views her as a sort of aunt and enjoys going on walks with her.

Moon 159-Greenleaf
There is a lull in the Clan drama when Wildcave (42) and Rustsong (28) have their kits!  Two of them are powerless like their mother: the daring Finchkit (0) and charming Halfkit (0).  The anxious Daisykit (0) has a wind-blessing that is so weak it’s hard to detect, but there. The fourth kit has a surprisingly strong fire-blessing and he is named Riftkit (0).  But the peace doesn’t last long. While the older warriors are sleeping, Primkit (1) decides to sneak out and chase the fireflies around camp.  She thinks it’s cool that they can glow, just like she can!  But she’s better at hiding in the darkness than they are.  She pounces after them until she’s right in front of Yuccastar’s (138) den.  She peaks in and is surprised to see Peakspots (128) in there as well.  She shrugs and goes back to chasing the bugs, but she trips over a stick, making a noise that wakes up Yuccastar.  Primkit doesn’t notice.  Until she hears a noise behind her and startles, sucking the life out of the firefly in front of her.  She has been found out.  Yuccastar is furious about being tricked once again. They lunge towards the small kit, but Creekstripe (13) jumps in front of her.  She was awakened by the noises and is glad that she was.  She stands in front of the kit, growling, darkness seeping from her pelt.  The rest of the Clan awakens and comes out of their dens.  Creekstripe, Gladepatch (35), Conegoat (42), Amethystdapple (86), and Fry (66) explain what’s going on.  And how Yuccastar has killed Rindlefish, Judaschaser, Fumblekit, Cressfreckle, and maybe even Caterpillarmallow and Faiththrift.  The Clan doesn’t believe them, at first, but then Yellowcreek and Cressfreckle come down from StarClan and explain that yes, it is true.  Their star-blessed leader is a murderer.  The Clan is in shock.  Peakspots wails out that he can’t believe it.  Chervilcry (138) stares at her sibling in horror.  The Clan decides to exile Yuccastar and strip her of their lives and name, leaving her as just the elderly Yuccawillow. The Clan convinces Wildcave to step down as deputy, which he reluctantly does, so that Creekstripe can become leader.  Just as Creekstripe had thought would happen.  She goes to the moonstone with Gladepatch to receive her nine lives. She receives the lives of curiosity from Songkit, strength from Cressfreckle, happiness from Yellowcreek, instincts from Airclaw, certainty from Caterpillarmallow, mercy from Skydawn, protection from Graysong, clear judgment from Judaschaser, and tireless energy from Shadestar.  Creekstar is granted guardianship of ElementClan and promises that she will use her power wisely.  She chooses Fry as her deputy.
Meta: What a moon. This is one of my favorite moons that I've written. What do you guys think? Do you think Creekstar will be a good leader, even though she's very young? There were a couple flavor texts that made me decide to (finally) get rid of Yuccastar this moon. I'm pretty sure they were about Primkit catching a firefly and Yuccastar and Creekstripe getting into a fight. The whole deposing thing was something I did manually and did not naturally happen in the game. Also, in game, Yuccastar has only murdered Rindlefish and Cressfreckle. In canon, she murdered Rindlefish, Judaschaser, Fumblekit, Cressfreckle, Caterpillarmallow and Faiththrift. Also, I changed around the givers of Creekstar's lives to cats who would be more meaningful to her. Here are the life-givers listed in game: Songkit (curiosity), Cressfreckle (strength), Strawberrytrail (mercy), Caterpillarmallow (certainty), Moorleg (instincts), Steppemimic (clear judgement), Whistlepaw (protection), Rockypaw (happiness), and Shadestar (tireless energy).

Moon 156-Newleaf
Featherpaw (12), Rabbitpaw (12), and Wormpaw (12) have been made warriors!  Featherpaw is now Featherspeck, honoring her tranquility, Rabbitpaw is named Rabbitfur for her loyalty, and Wormpaw is named Wormdart for his observance.  Their mentors are proud of the cats they’ve become and the new warriors are glad they get to have their warrior ceremony together.  They remember how Volcanoblossom’s (83) kits didn’t make it this far, how Burrowpaw left her sisters to graduate without her, and how Creekpaw (10) is missing her brother next to her. At least their ceremony at the beginning of newleaf marks a good start to the season for ElementClan.  In addition to three new warriors, Amethystdapple (83) has announced that she’s expecting kits!  It’ll be nice to have more kits in the Clan.  Now that Featherspeck is a warrior, Chervilcry (135) checks on her to make sure she’s feeling confident, but not like there’s too much pressure on her.  She remembers how much pressure was on Shardfrost to perform when she was younger.  Featherspeck assures her that she’s alright, although internally she is feeling stressed.  She doesn’t want to let the Clan down.  Meanwhile, Fry (63) is feeling stressed about his mate having kits and goes to Conegoat (39) for advice on what to do.  She has no idea-does she look like she’s a mother?  But she tries to give him advice anyways.  Despite being busy, Wildcave (39) makes sure to make time for his mate.  He and Rustsong (25) went on a moonlit stroll last night.  It was quite nice.  She laughed at his jokes the whole time.  Volcanoblossom decides to check in on Creekpaw.  Being from outside the Clan, she doesn’t quite get the Clan’s belief that dark-cursed cats are dangerous and wants to make sure the young cat is doing alright.  Creekpaw says she’s doing fine, but that she wishes there were more cats her age around.  It reminds Volcanoblossom of her kits, and leaves her feeling a little bit down.  Despite still being sick with redcough, Brioche (70) is determined to fit into the Clan and offers to lead a patrol.  Sleepyfoot (22) convinces her to stay in camp, for now, and assures her that she’ll be leading patrols in no time.
