RANDOM DL HEADCANNONS I HAVE

Sad edition: (TW: Drug use for escapism, mentioned attempted suicide)

-Shu used to dote on Reiji as a kid. Reiji was, at first, really happy someone was paying attention to him and they were really close brothers. But when he realized Beatrix gave Shu more attention,m he started to despise him.

-Kanato can never sing a song other than Scarborough Fair, and when he is asked to, he normally replies: "That's the only song I know." (More cannon but eh)

-Reiji gets insane stress and sometimes has full-on mental breakdowns that he has to deal with alone. He comes out of his room seeming fine, and the only one who really notices is Shu, since he hears him sobbing. He never says anything because he feels as though he can't be of help.

-Ayato loved Takoyaki since he was a kid, but Cordelia never allowed him to eat it since he had to spend time studying. He still uses it as a rebelling thing, which is why he eats it so frequently.

-Laito has bad dreams about his past with Cordelia a lot more than you'd think. He wakes up sobbing hysterically, with his head in his hands.

-Subaru finds himself staring up at the tower his mother was locked in every night. He sometimes stands there looking at it motionless for hours, and he doesn't even realize it. Shu normally comes and drags him away when he finds him.

-Reiji sometimes turns to his own drugs to get an ounce of enjoyment. He's got a stash of hardcore substances, and it really affects him sometimes.

-Kanato has a select few dolls he wishes he didn't turn so quickly or even at all. He starts randomly starts crying at their feet when he misses them, but then he tries to tell himself at least this way, he has them forever.

-Subaru, on a particularly bad night, once snuck into Reiji's lab looking for something to end his misery, but Reiji caught him. They both had a civil talk that night, and Reiji stepped up as a good older brother.

-Shu sometimes listens to old recordings of Edgar and him messing around and having fun with each other. It makes him tear up, but gives him some happy memories.

i cannot believe its 2024 and there’s people that think cordelia did nothing wrong 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

i apologize for the rant but

i read the original ‘argument’ and well

personally, i think its kinda insulting to the triplets as characters to just diminish everything they experienced as children and say that cordelia was a good mother. to say that “cordelia never had sex with laito and never had sex in front of kanato!” and that it was just blood drinking is like … insane to me.

like. just use your brain. i really don’t wanna go into a long rant about this, but im prettttty sure laito wouldn’t be attempting to ruin all people that still have their purity by forcing them into sexual intimacy and having such a bad perspective of love if he was just asked by cordelia to drink his blood. like seriously, in MB laito even uses the word “love” to get sex with some of the maids, since thats his understanding of love. and who would’ve taught him that? maybe the person he continuously has conversations about love with in his flashbacks. like his mom.

and im prettttty sure kanato wouldn’t be so traumatized by just seeing his mom drink blood in front of him. kanato even learned how to pleasure girls BY what he witnessed crim cordelia. please correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure kanato said in dc that cordelia even made him sing until his voice cords bled. kanato was neglected, ignored even when cordelia was doing something intimate with another — which made him the character he is. bratty, angry, always needing to fight for attention. even in cordelias death, kanato took her ashes and stuffed them into teddy so that he finally could have ALL the attention and all of her that he never could have. even eating them when he felt alone.

im not going to touch on ayato since i think his abuse is the most known, and my point about this is just more on the sexual abuse anyways.

theres no denying ALL of them were abused in their own ways.

my point is, if you say laito never engaged sexually with cordelia and kanato never witnessed cordelia having sex with other men, their character development would literally make no sense. flashbacks appear for a reason in DL, and its to give an explanation on how they developed into the diabolical characters we know and love. if cordelia was such a good mother she would not be shown so often in the triplets routes. i mean, look at shu’s. beatrix hardly makes an appearance in his in comparison to the other brothers, since his explanation on his character development comes from what happened with edgar more than his mothers authoritarian parenting.

i also think people get confused of the difference of liking a well written character and completely justifying what they’ve done. cordelia has gone through her own share of trauma, so it makes sense how she came to be the mother we know, which is an abusive one. but its not an excuse, its just an explanation for her actions. i love her as she’s a great antagonist, but just because i do doesn’t mean i love what she’s done. you can do both.

How to install "Haunted Dark Bridal" on your PC - eng ver

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening to everyone reading this, my name is Adri and I will be the host of this short tutorial. Firstly, I would like to apologize in advance for my terrible English, this is not my first language so I'm sorry if some things may seem confusing, i would like to thank everyone for reading this too.

Without further ado, let's get to the tutorial:

Emulator Installation ->

Before downloading the game, you will need the emulator. The Diabolik game will need the assistance of the PPSSPP EMULATOR to run in the pc, this emulator can be found in here: PPSSPP

Clicking in the link, you find yourself in this page:

Click in the "download" with the blue icon by his side, this part will depend in the kind of pc you have.

If you have Windows (like me), just install the first of the blue options, "Download PPSSPP Installer", the download may give an error notice, saying that the file is harmful, but you can install it just fine since it will not actually harm your pc.

After installing, it will create a file with the name "PPSSPP setup" on your computer, click on it with the left button of your mouse. The next part is very simple, the program will just ask for authorization and then start downloading the emulator, you can chose the language that the app will install on.

When installed it will appear like this in your list of apps:

Game Installation ->

Now the best part! Installing the Haunted Dark Bridal game, this part is very simple.

You will get the game link in this site: Diabolik Lovers by Naoki (link obtained from the channel fumicia)

The link wil direct you to this mediafire page were you be able to install the file.

When you install it, a zip file will be created on your computer (you will need Winrar for this part, but I believe most of you have the program, if you don't have it, send me a message on PM and I will teach you how to install it correctly) , extract the file to a folder of your choice.

After extracting the file, it will create a folder called "Diabolik Lovers", which is where the game will be.

Returning to PPSSPP, open the app.

I already have the game installed, but it won't appear on its own in the emulator. To open the game for the first time, click on the part written "Load…" ("Carregar"... in the print above).

Double click on the "Diabolik Lovers" folder

Click on the file named "dlovers" and that's it! The game will automatically open to the beloved opening of Haunted Dark Bridal!

The game is completely in Japanese, but there are many accounts on Tumblr that have complete translations of the chapters, the one I personally use is the Dialovers Translations.

Controls Guide ->

The emulator is a little difficult to use, as it is based on the Nintendo controls,but it has a controls guide:

To access it, click on "esc" on your keyboard, go to settings, controls and control mapping, you can reconfigure the keys the way you like.

For a little tutorial:

The "space" on your keyboard is the "start" of the game, where you can skip the scenes at the beginning of the game such as introductions and the beginning music.

The "X" is the select button, it is where you will click when you need to select something like the "start" button that appears at the beginning of the game, as well as where you will click when you skip the frames during the game.

The "Z" is the cancel button, which you will click if you want to return to the home screen or pause the game.

The violin string felt icy cold around your neck, despite the burning sensation of its thinness beginning to slice open tears. Red beadlets adorned and contrasted the white string. Shu’s hands didn’t show any signs of hesitation and mercy. In his deluded mind, this was a necessary evil he had to commit in order for you to understand what you did wrong.

“I knew you were a whore, but really? Subaru? You’d take that premature thug over me?” Shu looked down at you, his voice as cold and void as the violin string.

To think this was all over you laughing at Subaru’s crude jokes about Reiji. You two were in the kitchen - your body had been demanding more food since Shu’s feedings always left you faint. There was a change in him. One that you weren’t too particular in finding out, for now. Subaru crossed paths with you, sputtering foul comments about none other than Reiji.

Some of them made you laugh. Subaru noticed as well, so he was encouraged to make more. In the corner of your eye, that’s when you saw a tall, shadowed figure standing from afar.

A churn in your stomach knew who it was, but your brain was praying that it wasn’t him: Shu.

He knew you couldn’t speak. The tension was way too strong. You tried to utter something out, but to no avail.

The Eldest cocked his head downwards and sighed. “I can’t trust anything that comes out of that mouth of yours. If your screeching didn’t turn me on, I’d asked Kanato to sew it up close by now.” Loosening his grip, he ran his thumb against your lips, stopping every half a centimetre before moving on.

“If you think there’s anything stopping me from putting you to a grave, try and test me. It’ll be nothing but pure entertainment for me in the long run.”

Shu wrapped the string around his slender fingers and tightened it again. You swore that you felt something dripping down your neck, but the lack of oxygen was depraving you of your senses.

“Pathetic. I thought you’d last longer.” He chuckled and just like that, you were out cold and plopped hard on his hardwood floors.

“Hmm… Seeing you somewhat coherent, I should’ve increased the dosage. You’re not at all in tremendous pain, which is quite disappointing.” He flicked your forehead hard, causing tears to swell up in your eyes.

You don’t remember how you ended up in this predicament, but if you had a guess, Shu probably looked at you for far too long and then you ate something. And knowing Reiji, that was probably enough for all of this to happen.

“W-What… did y-you do..?” You coughed out and tried to stand, but only your hands could offer some kind of support.

“You’re far too smart to not have an idea and far too dumb to keep getting yourself in repeated trouble.” His back turned away from you. He took a tall beaker and held it above his head. You were right about one thing - Whatever you ate last was what got you here.

Reiji took off his glasses and massaged the temples of his head, ruining his slicked hair. “Is this a cry for attention? Or do you sincerely like it when other men give you attention? I’d demand an answer, but getting it out of you my way is a guaranteed method for you to tell the truth.”

He knelt down, his black blazer almost touching the floor. That’s when you heard metal clinking. “Chains?”, you thought to yourself.

Like a messed up greek comedy, you were semi-right.

“A muzzle should fit you perfectly,” It was made out of leather with an iron strap at the back. “I don’t know what’s compelling me, but I don’t want to hear your excuses just yet. If you want to cry out, you should’ve cried out my name when my brothers approach you.” Reiji knew he was going completely out of line. There was no logical reason for him to be this frenzied.

Emotions were never logical.

Especially jealousy and a constant inferiority complex.

“YOU THINK I’D JUST EASILY FORGIVE YOU?!” The Youngest hurled a wooden chair at you. By some miracle of God, you managed to dodge it. Barely. The wood broke into shards and splinters, some of which scathing your skin, and the minuscule other unfortunately penetrating your skin layers.

You didn’t have time to wince, as he threw white porcelain around like they were water balloons. They didn’t hurt him, his skin was thick in all the ways metaphorical, but they for sure were going to hurt you in all the ways physical.

Ruby eyes lit up iridescent ‘neath the moonlit room. You didn’t know if Subaru was going to choke himself first in his huffs and breaths, or if the choking would stem from his shaking hands around your neck. “YOU THINK HE’S BETTER THAN ME, DON’T YOU?!” The ‘He’ in question was Kou.

Subaru himself didn’t understand what was making him so riled up. His throat felt like they were stomped on by metal boots when Kou began whispering to your ear. It felt like there was tiny, rhymatic walking of a centipede marching under his skin when Kou kept hogging your gaze. Was the problem really Kou? Hard, booming punches cracked cement walls.

As you stared at Subaru, his anger didn’t subside, rather it grew.

Somehow, he knew that you were currently thinking of Kou. Although you were thinking about how he may be the cause of his dooming anger, without context, the fact that you were thinking about another man made his stomach twist and turn.

“FINE! I GET IT! YOU THINK I CAN’T FIND ANOTHER FOOD SOURCE?! HA!” Subaru felt his throat growing raw. “YOU PICKED ME! SO WHY ARE YOU GOING TO THAT FUCKING MUKAMI?!”

Behind this rage, you saw a sensitive little boy who waited patiently every dew for his mother to look down from the prison tower. You saw a little boy who knew how to make flower crowns out of any flower, but chose not to because his rosy cheeks lit up pink if anyone knew.

You saw a little boy who was ready to be loved, and the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, as he had mentally imprisoned himself in his mother’s yearning for love; the same way a certain man had imprisoned her.

Yet, the little boy was nowhere to be seen.

All that your eyes could see was a red-eyed man stepping closer and closer. His footsteps were silent, and his anger finally stopped making noise. The Youngest’s frame loomed over you and without a hitch, your sense of mortality did too.
