'On the off chance that you were to all of a sudden lose your visual perception, you would in all probability go straight away to the setback.' says Collet-Fenson. 'However, we are still not putting a similar degree of significance to our hearing. If you all of a sudden lose your hearing, it could well be a health-related crisis. SSHL may likewise be joined by vertigo (discombobulation), tinnitus (ringing in the ear) or sentiment of completion in the ear.'

PT. 1 I’ve gotten a lot of questions & comments asking when I became hearing impaired. Ever since my early childhood, I’ve been hearing impaired. I have a sensorineural hearing loss in both ears & a conductive loss in my left ear. It started off as mild & has progressed to moderate-profound. In addition to that, I also have a auditory processing disorder. I kept failing the hearing tests that they did at elementary school. I was born premature at 25 weeks, 1 pound 6 ounces. They originally though my hearing loss was due to my prematurity. I wore one hearing aid in my left ear fit by a hearing clinic for elderly people that my ENT sent me to. The hearing aid they gave me was not a good fit for the type of hearing loss I have & didn’t give me the right assistance I needed. My hearing loss got a bit worse & I got a referral to a new audiologist in 2013 that catered to hearing impaired people of all ages. The hearing aid I got then was much better than the previous one! It was an @oticonglobal @oticonusa Sensei power 13 BTE. Also, got an FM system for my teachers to use which was super helpful. Over the past few years, I’ve noticed my hearing loss getting worse & not getting the most of out that current hearing aid. #HearingAid #HearingImpaired #SensorineuralHearingLoss #HearingLoss #Oticon #OticonHearingAid #OticonSenseiPro #AuditoryProcessingDisorder #Premature #Prematurity #UshersSyndrome Image Description: Red, black, and white marbled ear mold, attached to the tubing is a red hearing aid ear piece with zebra stripe print stickers on the side.
