in theory, the moment you saw the camera you should have known something was coming.
it was one of those peaceful saturday nights on raw, a rare evening where you didn’t have a match to be a part of in any shape or form. you were simply enjoying the energy backstage as you could hear the crowd thrumming beyond the walls, watching matches that didn’t involve you on the monitor. management had requested you come along for some segments, so you were somewhat on guard, but the most you expected was an interview with renee.
you did not expect for the imperium to trudge towards you, trailed by a camera man as they came over with their proposition.
“are you ready to be on the losing side again?” gunther asked, trailed by his lackeys sad they stopped before you, circling like hyenas on the prowl.
you could only cross your arms in defence. “what makes you so sure we’ll lose?”
ludwig laughed from his leader’s left side, an air of certainess to his posture. “oh come on, y/n. you know as much as we do. you’re too good for those brutes, pardon the pun.”
the brutes in question being the stable you had taken on under your management. the brawling brutes were a separate endeavour to your solo career, but it was no secret the group had thrived under your care. if you had been coerced into joining in the first place by a particularly charming irish man, no one would have to know, either. it just so happened your management were looking for another way to push you, and acting as manager for such a powerful stable seemed like a dream when that opportunity fell in your lap.
but of course, once you proved to yourself and the rest of the wwe universe that you knew how to handle yourself both inside and outside of the ring, it wasn’t long before others tried to hunt you down. the brawling brutes were gaining power quicker than a steamroller, and of course people would give anything to stop them in their tracks.
“and what’s in it for me? if i betray them?” you crossed your arms in front of your chest, playing up to the camera, but asking more for your own gain than anything.
“unprecedented power, y/n. sweet, sweet power.” gunther added, motioning for the rest of his stable to follow as he began to walk away. “think about it, you’ll make the right decision.”
you gave a knock to the men’s dressing room door, a telltale shout of ‘decent’ giving away exactly who was in there — his accent certainly stood out amongst most.
pushing open the door, you were met by one single figure hanging back, but the man you needed to see. sheamus was standing there as decent as decent could be for a wwe superstar. it made you blush slightly, but you couldn’t quite understand why. you were used to going arm in arm with the man weekly when he was in nothing more than tight underwear and body oil — yet seeing him standing, clad in nothing but sweats, felt more intimate than before.
“heya, sweetheart.” he mused, charming as ever even when his in ring persona was lessened by the absence of cameras. “missed me that much?”
you rolled your eyes fondly, giving a light shove to his shoulder as you passed to take your place on a bench nearby. “don’t flatter yourself.”
sheamus grinned, a secondary emotion that you couldn’t place flashing past his eyes momentarily. he would never relent, and whilst you always had a rebuttal on the tip of your tongue, you wouldn’t deny how you were consistently forced to turn away, mainly so the man couldn’t see the reddening of your cheeks.
as the leader of the brawling brutes, it was sheamus who you came into contact with the most, and the two of you had built an interesting dynamic over the past few months. he had never hidden his affections for you in the ring, always jumping at an opportunity to be by your side, but you had foolishly put this down to his character, and never thought much of it. he was a naturally charming man, wildly different from everyone else in the roster, and it would have been easy to fall for someone like that. so, aware he was simply just being a character, you shut yourself down to every attempt to place that charm on you, not allowing the possibility for heartbreak.
“i had an interesting conversation today.” you commented quietly, crossing one leg over the other as you watched sheamus ruffle his wet hair from the shower with a towel (bright pink, and strangely familiar? was that a little decal of a flower? where did he get your towel from????). “let’s just say the last thing i was expecting today was to be accosted by imperium.”
sheamus stopped his drying motions immediately, hands coming back down to his side. “imperium? what the hell are they doing? trying to intimidate you?”
you hummed, considering how to approach this. “quite the opposite. in fact, they’ve got it into their minds that i’d be better off by their side, instead of yours.”
then, sheamus barked out a laugh and returned to his prior movements, seemingly unconcerned by the initial offer from your opponents. “well, can’t fault them for trying. as if they’re worthy of you.”
you stayed silent, watching as your friend and in ring partner raided his gym bag in search of a shirt.
“i mean. they’re not wrong when they suggest my style fits theirs slightly better. when i’m on my own i think anyone would have put me with them over you guys.”
silence met you, and when you glanced at sheamus, he wasn’t even looking in your direction. too focused on untangling his shirt straps. for a moment you thought, if that was how much he cared, then you might just take imperium up on their offer—
“you really think that?” sheamus asked darkly, not sparing a glance to his side.
shrugging, you added “i mean, we don’t know for certain but, what have you exactly got to offer me in terms of furthering my career?”
sheamus barked a laugh, but it was void of any humour. “i could list a million reasons why you suit us, sweetheart. how many do you want?”
you raised an eyebrow, his tone rattling straight through you. he was intimidating when he wanted to be, and it was clear that on stage persona was blurring with the man behind the camera for just a second.
“stephen.” you offered as warning, rarely choosing to use superstars’ real names unless the moment required it.
he spun quickly, taking one look at you before any of that hardness slipped away from his features and he was back to looking at you with a level of respect and awe.
“you’ve seen what we can do with you by our sides, y/n. you’re a warrior in and out of the ring. imperium don’t want to further your career, they want to use you for their own benefit.” he took a moment to pull the shirt over his head, before making his way to sit beside you. there was a couple of feet between your positions, but somehow the distance felt even greater.
you hummed, contemplating for just a second. “and? isn’t that what you’re doing? using me for your own benefit?”
when sheamus spoke again, there wasn’t the harshness in his tone like there was before, replaced by the sound of honey dripping off of every word. “we’ve never used you. sure, there’s no denying we’re better with you by our side, but you did all that. imperium want to use you as a pretty show piece, but to us you’re our lifeline.”
you smiled everso slightly, more having to fight the upturn of your lips than anything. “sure you don’t just like a hot woman on your arm every night?”
your stable mate grinned, playfulness returning to the air as he buttered you up. “sure, that’s a bonus, sweetheart. but you’re so much more than that.”
if your heart fluttered slightly at the tone he used, deep and rooted with genuineness, you wouldn’t tell anyone. that was a secret for you to keep.
“you’re a fool if you think we only want you to make us look good.” sheamus began again, shameless as he reached across the space between your bodies, brushing a stray strand of your hair away from your face and behind your ear. another flutter of your heart, this time more like a whisper of wind. “imperium want you to be their arm candy, we want you to be our soul. half the stuff we do wouldn’t be possible without you. you’re one of the strongest women in the roster right now, and that’s not just opinion but a fact, and it’s an honour getting to prove that. you can hold your own, hey, you can be even better, amongst the men, and i think that says everything.”
“you think that highly of me?” you asked, half jokingly, half from a place of needing reassurance. it was easy to doubt yourself amongst so many powerful opponents. “you’re already fighting pretty hard to get me to stay and i barely said anything.”
“you said enough for me to know i don’t want them getting their hands on you.” sheamus muttered, and suddenly the gap between the two of you seemed much smaller than before. “i won’t let them take my girl away that easily.”
your eyes widened at the same time his own demeanour cracked, both noticing the slip of tongue at the same time. again, you were used to the flirting the irish man undertook in the ring, and half of the time outside of it, but any semblance that those layers ran deeper than just kayfabe and your head was in a spin.
another knock at the door brought you out of the moment, a staff member poking his head in to let the two of you know they were closing up soon.
so with a few last goodbyes, you parted ways, this time with a new feeling of confusion in your chest. it was no longer the question of whether the brawling brutes wanted you more than the imperium, but now whether sheamus wanted you more than you wanted to leave.
after the segments on the show the week prior, it was no shock when the brawling brutes had one of their promos cut by the imperium themselves. you had expected it really, but it didn’t make the image of the four men wandering down the ramp towards the ring any less intimidating.
you stood just by the curtain of the ring, watching in concern as predator stalked their prey. you could see imperiums eyes on you, and you knew sheamus had noticed too, for he seemed to step in between their view of you protectively.
“well if it isn’t our favourite manager and her lackeys.” gunter began, practically toe to toe with sheamus as they stood leader against leader. “have you given any thought to our little conversation last week, y/n?”
before you could even react, sheamus was speaking on your behalf. “she doesn’t want to run around with little boys, she wants to stick with the men.”
gunther only chuckled into the mic, not quick enough to give his own response before giovanni was adding in himself, “if she wants men, she’s with the wrong team.”
“i wonder, if we asked her now, who’d she’s choose?” gunther challenged, the crowd hollering for you to join the conversation.
“stop fooling yourself, gunther, it’s getting embarrassing—“
sheamus was cut off by gunther once more “why don’t we let the little lady speak for herself?”
if the imperium wanted brownie points, they certainly weren’t getting them speaking about you like that. sheamus seemed to think the same, if the way his fists clenched had anything to do with it. he didn’t seem happy about it, but turned to offer you a hand to climb in the ring nonetheless.
you took his offer of help, jumping inside and trying to ignore how you were sure he was squeezing your hand just a little harder than usual. he seemed reluctant to even let go, but dropped the contact only when butch offered you his own mic to join the chorus.
the outcome of this promo was up to you, your manager had made sure that you knew that fact. he was prepared to damage control whichever side you chose, but how was the moment, and you were more unsure than ever. one look at imperium had you wanting to change allegiance. for all the talk about their true intentions, you knew one thing for certain, and that was imperiums power. they were a force to be reckoned with, and having gunther as an ally? that could do wonders for your career both in the stable and in your own solo endeavours.
yet, as you glanced to your side, seeing how sheamus watched you with uncertainty, the decision began to unblur.
he hadn’t spoken to you since the little dialogue mishap in the locker room. you had, at first, thought maybe he was disgusted by his own words, wishing he could take them back out of sheer unhappiness — but when you looked at him now, you could see past sheamus, and just see stephen, and you realised everything he had said was true.
“sheamus over here seems to have gotten it into his head that your allegiance to him is stronger than your want for success.” gunther’s menacing tone brought you out of your realisation, and you turned back to see how the man towered over you. “but you and i know better, don’t we, y/n? you’re a strong woman, you’ll make the right decision.”
a deep breath. “you’re right gunther.” a gasp echoed throughout the crowd as you seemingly made your decision to turn sides. the man in question watched you with a sly smirk, thinking his plan had worked. “my want for success is stronger than anything. so, i have to choose the side i know will get me there.”
you could practically feel the panicked looks of the brawling brutes, and when you turned to hand butch his microphone back, the expressions of betrayal were just as expected — especially from one particular redhead.
taking a step back, you made to stand with the imperium, facing your other stable-mates as the crowd shouted all sorts of nonsense directed at you, surely horrified by your abandonment. you waited a second, revelling in the reaction and allowing the imperium to glow in what they thought was a victory, before in one swift motion, you landed a back elbow straight into gunther’s stomach.
the crowd cheered again, and you wasted no time in stepping back across the ring to sheamus’ side, the grin creeping across the man’s face larger than you had ever seen before.
as you joined back by his side, he didn’t bother removing the microphone from his lips as he solidified his comment from the week prior. “that’s my girl.”
for once, you didn’t think about consequences, not caring that this wasn’t part of the plan or even prior discussed by the two of you — you knew he wanted it as badly as you by now. so, in one swift motion, coupled with a whisper of ‘your girl’, you grabbed sheamus by the back of the neck and pulled him down to crash your lips together.
if the shout from the rest of the brawling brutes was loud in your ear, the screams of the audience were practically deafening, but you barely focused on the reaction as sheamus dropped the microphone he held to the floor in favour of grabbing ahold of your waist.

Ya know, since Halloween is right around the corner, I REALLY wanna write a Jeff Hardy/Bray Wyatt fic of some sort. The only problem? I'm having a hard time starting it off. Like, I have the ideas in my head clear as day, but I'm having a hard time putting it down on paper. Like I'll list the rough draft of the story I'm planning, and I really want your opinions on it on where I should go from here. I feel like I can ginuenely make something out of this. 🤑
Ever since Bray's unexpected return, the locker room is no doubt downright uncomfortable about what creepy shenanigans he might have up his sleeve. And naturally, Jeff is no exception to this.
During this point in time, Jeff also has had a severe losing streak to the point where his matches are considered downright pitiful, causing a specific few to not hesitate taking shots at his expense. None too pleased, this only encourages Jeff to push himself further to prove that he can still be a capable opponent, which only causes his frustration to rise for each time it doesn't end well.
All while this is going on, Bray has taken a rather strange interest to the enigma, quietly observing his behaviour and changing mannerisms from afar. He can easily sense the darkness that's brewing inside him, seeing that it's just desperately fighting to be released from its confines, whether its owner is aware of it or not.
Now this is where the story goes into canon divergence mode. In here, Bray still has Alexa as an accomplice of sorts, although she's definitely not as close to him as she used to be (remember the incident at Wrestlemania 38?), and is only currently helping him in his task so that she can hopefully break free from his influence in exchange for helping bring Jeff into his waiting clutches.
In order to bring his plan into fruitation, Bray begins to bring strange nightmares and surreal illusions towards Jeff. Obviously not having any clue of why this is occuring, he's dismissive of it at first until said experiences are beginning to affect his in-ring work, causing him to be woozy or disoriented at times during his matches. Naturally, this only continues the losing streak, and after a particularly brutal match with Sheamus, who has no shame in outwardly expressing sheer mockery towards the enigma, this finally causes him to cross the line. Tossing all sportsmanship out the window, he begins to give what is basically a no holds barred beatdown to his enemy, essentially leaving the Celtic Warrior a bloody mess by the end of it, all while leaving the wwe universe and co-workers alike in absolute shock by his actions. He slowly turns on them overtime, no longer showing off the energetic carefree facade he's played up for so long, instead showing off a side that he had thought that he'd had permanently sealed away, only for it to be released in the absolute worst case scenario.
Now that the opportunity has risen, Bray slowly begins to make his move. Having the foresight that Jeff would naturally be opposed to joining his side at first, he takes his sweet time, delivering cryptic messages and allowing his "friends" (the puppets?) to pop up on occasion. With his efforts so far being done in vain, he finally sends Alexa as bait to lure him in.
Scenario Time: Having pretend to lose sight of Lily somewhere in the stadium, Alexa locates Jeff and pleads with him to help her find her beloved friend, for she fears of never finding her again and just can't bear with the sheer thought of such a terrible thing happening. Jeff of course is at first naturally suspicious of the child-like behavior, but eventually gives in, if only to leave the stadium quicker.
After a long tiring search, Jeff finally finds the doll in a rather strange unspecified location. Alexa is nowhere to be seen, so feeling exasperated, he decides to search for her, only to be unexpectedly cornered.
Finally making their prescense known, both Alexa and Bray at first try to vocally persuade Jeff into joining their side, informing how he would finally be given the privilege to truly show off his full potential if he were to accept. Obviously terrified and confused by what is going on, he denies and tries to find a way out, only to nearly be captured by the two demonic entities. He eventually manages to fight them off long enough to escape them both, but not before Alexa ends up successfully placing a rather strange spell on him during an accidental burst of anger when she sees her chances of breaking free from the Fiend's influence nearly vanish right before her eyes.
Not surprised to see that Jeff clearly wasn't willing to accept their offering the easy way, the mindgames soon begin. After the confrontation, he tries to move on with his life, but is unable to shake off the disturbing feeling that he is always being watched whether he wanted to be or not. The nightmares and illusions get worse, to the point where they make him physically sick, and eventually causes him to become an insomiac for fears of recieving the disturbing dreams. Then the voices begin to make their prescense known, informing him to allow all the darkness that is festering inside his soul to break free from their confines. As if that wasn't strange enough, a new kind of being eventually begins to take form in his mind; A strange creature that is dressed in black and white from head to toe, and its facial features being mostly covered up by a weirdly shaped mask. (Introduction of Willow the Wisp, anyone?)
All but exhausted by the previous events, Jeff tries to warn others of what's happened to him and what the devious duo might have up their sleeves, but thanks to his recent turn, however, he has no allies to comfort him or believe him, either believing that he's turning insane or is just trying to mess with them to see their reactions. Even Randy Orton, who has had a history of his own with Wyatt in the past, just simply shrugs him off, citing how it's not really his problem to deal with, and that if Jeff wants to rest easy, he must fight the Fiend on his own, head on, like he did.
Accepting the sad fact that he has no help, Jeff takes Randy's advice and begins to battle it out on his own, challenging Bray to come up and fight him if he really wants to have his soul for himself. But of course, Bray simply stalls, allowing either Alexa or one of his other "friends" to do the dirty work for him. To raise the stakes, they also begin to threaten targeting his beloved wife and daughters, and even his older brother, at one point if he doesn't give himself up. Naturally, this only causes Jeff to grow more scared and infuriated, eventually causing him to accept, if only to protect his family. But only on one condition; If Bray really wants the opportunity to have him as an accomplice, he's going to have to fight for it, until he can successfully pull his soul away from his cold dead fingers. Bray is all but overly delighted with this and a Fire-Fly Funhouse match is soon booked for an upcoming pay-per-view.
And you all know what happens next; We get dark symbolism, creepy meta references to several events in Jeff's life (both the highest of high and the lowest of lows), blurring the line of kayfabe and reality, and even a tiny pinch of dark humor before Jeff is beaten down and weakened enough, both mentally and physically, and finally succumbs to Bray's overpowering influence.
The aftermath of the match shows that Jeff's mind is not the only thing that is being crippled, but his appearance as well. Slowly, he begins to unwillingly turn into the strange creature that has had possessed his dreams many times before, black dressing, mask and all. And his voice is all but obsolete, turning him into a mute. Once the transformation is complete, Bray gives his new protege a new possession to carry in the form of a black and white umbrella to match his new appearance (similiar to the lantern) and guides him away from prying eyes, allowing for fan specualtion of what future events will potentially occur after this feud.
And as promised, once the former Charismatic Enigma is finally in Bray's possession, Alexa is finally set free of his influence over her, but at the cost of her retaining most of the trauma induced memories she's collected over the past several months, and begins to slowly move on from all the brainwashing and corruption that she had suffered from the hands of her former captor, and even still carries the Lily doll around for some form of comfort during the healing process.
So... How was that? Does this sound like a good draft? I'd really like to hear your opinions on this! I feel like I can create tons of scenarios with just this plotline alone. What do you think? 😁

Welcome to Royal Rumble Countdown brought to you by THISENT.com and The Wrestling Heroes and Insiders Podcast aka The WHIP Show! World Wrestling Entertainment’s annual Royal Rumble match is a variation of the traditional Battle Royal match. With a total of 30 competitors, two WWE Superstars start in the ring then every 90 seconds thereafter another Superstar enters. A Superstar is eliminated when they’re thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last remaining Superstar is guaranteed a championship opportunity at WrestleMania versus the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. The 36th annual Royal Rumble happens live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on January 28, 2023. We think Sami Zayn should be its winner. One of WWE’s most popular Superstars, “The Honorary Uce” dubbed Sami Uso has found his place, and respect, amongst faction The Bloodline. The former 2-time Pro Wrestling Guerilla World Champion, Ring of Honor Television Champion, NXT Champion, and 3-time WWE Intercontinental Champion sits seemingly in a comfortable seat beside head of the table, Tribal Chief, and Unified WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. That seating arrangement isn’t going to last. Sami’s relationship with onscreen rival, real life best friend Kevin Owens is a quieter point of contention following War Games at Survivor Series 2022, but it should be expected to get considerably louder on the road to WrestleMania. As Owens continues to target Reigns, we could see a Royal Rumble scenario where Sami is forced to eliminate the Prize Fighter as one of the final three contestants but not before Owns throws Reigns’ cousin and righthand Jey Uso over the top first. Sami would show his allegiance to The Bloodline by extracting his best friend. Instead of The Bloodline celebrating Zayn for winning, they could turn on him instead. Ousting him from the group in violent fashion. This would set up Zayn’s motivated chance to end Reigns’ historic run as champion, finally claiming WWE’s top prize at WrestleMania 39. A moment punctuated by a flood of ovation, Zayn would be too excited and elated to notice Owens lurking in the water to attack the newly crowned champion. |THIS ENT + The WHIP Show Royal Rumble Winners: Jim Duggan (1988), Big John Studd (’89), Hulk Hogan (’90, ’91), Ric Flair (’92), Yokozuna (’93), Bret Hart/Lex Luger (’94), Shawn Michaels (’95, ’96), Steve Austin (’97, ’98), Mr. McMahon (’99), The Rock (2000), Steve Austin (’01), Triple H (’02), Brock Lesnar (’03), Chris Benoit (’04), Batista (’05), Rey Mysterio (’06), The Undertaker (’07), John Cena (’08), Randy Orton (’09), Edge (’10), Alberto Del Rio (’11), Sheamus (’12), John Cena ('13), Batista (’14), Roman Reigns (’15), Triple H (’16), Randy Orton (’17), Shinsuke Nakamura (’18), Seth Rollins (’19), Drew McIntyre (’20), Edge (2021), Brock Lesnar (2022) BONUS: The WHIP Show with guest Afa Anoai Jr. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4azNHA84TMk

Family Found Part 48: WrestleMania
The road is at an end. And for one wrestler, so is their career. But first, the rest of the roster get their chances to reach for glory. Titles are destined to change hands, but which ones?
Warnings/Promises: wrestling violence, tiny Sheamus x reader fluff, angst
Word Count: 3830
Note: The ‘Monday’ chapter is also coming out this weekend too, so look for that. And then there will only be one more chapter that is guaranteed to rip your hearts out. Please let me know how you’ve been enjoying, or not, this series with comments, reblogs, or messages on/off anon. Thanks for sticking around this long!
Part 1: Welcome to the Team
Part 47: Resigning
Tumblr media
WrestleMania – April 7, 2019 – Brooklyn, NY
“We have finally arrived at the end of the road. Tonight is WrestleMania!” The crowd was abuzz. Chants for favorites, and the usual random ones, sounded off every few minutes. Most of the seats were filled already because no one wanted to miss a second of the show of the year.
The announce team was preparing for interviews when Charly focused on listening closely to her headset. “Um, guys, we need to break to something going on backstage.”
Camera crew members hurried to catch up to the chaos erupting backstage. Tamina had caught Sarah Logan alone. Pinned into a corner, Sarah had nowhere to go and nothing to do except to receive the attack. Referees rushed onto the scene to break them apart. Just as Tamina was made to walk away, another fight broke out further down the hall.
This time it was Alicia Fox taking her skills to Liv Morgan, who was being held back by Ruby Riott. “Let me go,” Alicia shouted. “I’m not done with her! Viva la Alicia and Mickie!” She was still being dragged away when the cameras flipped back to the pre-show table.
Newly arrived, Bayley and Sasha Banks were snickering at the destruction. David Otunga was flabbergasted. “You don’t seem surprised to see all this. Care to explain?”
Sasha giggled and shared a look with her tag partner. “Of course we aren’t surprised. If anything, that was the plan. Our title match tonight is an open challenge. But we,” she motioned between herself and Bayley, “won’t know who it is until the bell rings. Anybody could challenge us up to that moment.”
“You see,” Bayley added, “it’s no secret that Sasha and I haven’t always gotten along. All this year we have done our best to rip each other to shreds to find out who is the better woman. We put that aside so we could win the first ever Raw Women’s Tag Team Championships, and we’re not letting them go until the rest of the locker room shows us what, or who, they’re willing to rip apart to take these from us.”
With a nod, Sasha agreed. Sorta. “Not that it’s going to happen tonight, or any time soon. If any of those ladies think they can take our championships away on the grandest stage of them all, they’ve got another thing coming.”
The champions left, leaving the announce team to hurry and get their pre-show opinions in order.
***
The first official match was the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. All of the participating wrestlers were in the ring, and at the bell, they each found an opponent. Several men flipped over the ropes, and a couple under them. It took about forty-five minutes to make it down to the final five. It was Mojo Rawley, EC3, Jeff Hardy, R-Truth, and Cesaro.
After a few more minutes, it was down to Mojo and Cesaro. The Swiss Cyborg was just going over the ropes when the missing wrestlers appeared from under the ring. The rough hype came to a standstill as he recognized his old partner and the man with the longest losing streak. Zack Ryder kept a close eye on him as Curt Hawkins followed him into the ring. It was two versus one, but Mojo succeeded in throwing both of them off. He tossed Hawkins through the ropes and set to tipping Ryder over the top. Struggling, Ryder was able to wriggle onto the apron.
Curt rolled backing into the ring, restarting the fight. It was Mojo who ended up going over the topes, but he took Ryder with him, despite Curt’s death-grip on his friend’s wrist. Mojo had a grip around Ryder’s waist. If Ryder fell, he fell. And Hawkins was the only lifeline. The duo started to slip backward, Hawkins’s grip failing. Zack smiled. “It’s all you, man.” Then he let go.
The bell rang. Rawley and Rider had been eliminated, and Curt Hawkins had won the battle royal. And, he had ended his streak.
***
Behind you on a screen, Ryder was celebrating with Hawkins in the ring. You were too busy arguing with a flurry of women to watch it. “Ladies, enough! There isn’t time to add another preshow match. As much as I hate that you are fighting backstage, I can’t give you a tornado tag match. Bayley and Sasha’s opponents will just have to bide their time and strike when they can. Whoever they are. Now please, I’ve got things to do.”
Begrudgingly, the women left your office. You were rubbing your temples when there was a hesitant knock at your door. “I thought I made myself clear- oh.” Large hands gripped your shoulders, working out the stressed kinks. “You’re going to get us in trouble.”
“Only if we get caught,” Sheamus chuckled. He succeeded in wrapping his arms around you before kissing the top of your head. It was enough to help you release a long, deep breath. Suddenly his touch was gone.
“Can I have a moment with my cousin?” Dean asked, calmly staring Sheamus down from the doorway. After your red-head gave you a reassuring pat between your shoulder blades, the men sidestepped each other.
Hey, Dean,” you whispered.
He stepped in rubbing the back of his head. “Hey, Ladybug. I know you’re busy, but I need to get something off my chest.”
“Go for it.” Easy to say. The tightness of your chest claimed otherwise.
He nodded. “I get it. I understand. And I’m sorry for the ride through hell to get there.” His hand shot up to stop you from putting yourself down again. “It was an impossible choice. Either Roman and I were going to lose Seth again, or I was going to have to give up… everything. I mean, we just got him back. And I just got you back… and there was nothing you could do.” Dean set his shoulders, but his eyes couldn’t meet yours. “I should have been willing to listen. Then maybe we could have found a way to avoid all this.”
You were on the verge of tears. He booped your nose, forcing you to smile. “Roman keeps telling me I have nothing to worry about.” You wiped away a tear. “And I have complete faith in both of you-“
“But?”
“But Brock is dangerous. Past the stupid stipulations. He’s… just about everybody ends up bloody or worse-“
“And I’m prepared for that.” He rested his hand lightly on your shoulder. “I’ve been preparing for a lot of things, actually.” His voice dropped out. Neither of you wanted to point out the two worst case scenarios again. “That was all I needed to say. Keep up the managing thing. You’re good at it… and I couldn’t be prouder of you.” He let you catch him in a tight hug, stroking the top of your head. Then he wrenched himself free and rushed out of your office.

The women’s battle royal was just as dramatic, if not more so, than the guys’. Of the final five, two women took the center of the ring. Zelina Vega, Asuka, and Nikki Cross huddled in corners, waiting to see what would happen. Natalya and Rhonda stared each other down. Not six months ago they were the best of friends, battling for the same goals but with handshakes after every altercation. Now they were cold. Unmoved by each other’s goals or aspirations.
They set to punches and head blows that rocked the ring. Unfortunately, in their haste and determination to eliminate one another, both women ended up landing on the apron after twisting over the ropes. Then the other three women sprang into action. It took all of them to launch the women off onto the floor. Thus, eliminating them both. Then Nikki and Asuka set on knocking each other out of the match. Zelina came bouncing off the ropes, succeeding in twisting Nikki over the top.
Now it was down to two. Zelina rushed not to lose her momentum. Bu Asuka wasn’t going to make it easy. Twice, three times one of them would stumble through the ropes. The Empress of tomorrow did everything she could to take the victory today. They both ended up on the apron. Taking a risk, Zelina jumped and grabbed hold of Asuka’s head, dropping with it. Asuka’s face bounced off the edge, and her body followed. Zelina fell back into the ring, running her hands through her hair. She’d won. After the referee raised her hand, she left the ring and stood by the trophy. Her trophy.

Roman marched down to the ring. He paced from ropes to rope like a caged lion, ignoring the continued mixed welcome from the crowd. When the lights finally dimmed for Dr. M’s entrance, he kneeled in one corner with his back against the turnbuckles. Dr. M grinned and eventually met him, standing toe to toe. Even though Roman towered over him, the trepidation in Roman’s eyes made the doctor smug. And gave him an edge.
Not waiting for the bell, Dr. M rushed forward. He caught Roman unawares, knocking him to the canvas. The rain of punches and kicks didn’t stop until Dr. M stepped back. He laughed. “You aren’t ready to defend yourself. How could you ever think you could keep me from healing the WWE? From healing Y/N?” His smile flickered away as Roman struggled to his feet.
They went at it again. Dr. M still had the upper hand, despite Roman’s mostly effective offense. His prior attacks had created several openings for future hits. Roman’s ribs and throat were easy targets. If he couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t fight. And he wouldn’t win. But Dr. M had forgotten one very important thing.
No one messes with his family.
“You know, Roman,” Dr. M said into his ear while controlling him with a headlock, “Y/N really is such a perfect puppet for Hunter and Stephanie. Maybe they won’t mind if Sister Abigail borrows her vessel for a while, hmm. And why not bring Dean into the family too? I’d hate to break them apart again. Though I would have to break through their fevers by any means necessary.”
With a roar, Roman broke free and headbutted Dr. M. The man staggered back, fighting to shake free the blurriness in his vision. By the time it was back, so was Roman with a spear. Dr. M groaned and gasped as Roman walked away and gripped the top rope. The tape whined under his grip, and the referee took several steps back. Dr. M was eventually back on his feet. He dodged the first spear, but the second after Roman bounced off the far ropes. One, two, and three seconds later Dr. M was nowhere close to getting back up. Roman gave him an extra series of kicks to get him out of the ring, then swayed on his feet. He left the arena as the rest of WrestleMania started.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Elias.”
Inside the circle of light, Elias strummed his guitar. The crowd was deathly silent until he finished, then they started the ‘walk with Elias’ chant. He smiled at them. “It’s great to finally be recognized at the greatest concert of them all. Even if the arena is filled with disgusting rabble like you.” He waited for their shift in mood to die down a little before playing his song. It was dedicated to the dirt people of Brooklyn, punctuated with the occasional jab at Drew McIntyre. He was met with thunderous applause as he finished. “Finally. No interruptions.” He strummed to start another song, but he’d spoken too soon.
Soon enough, Drew was in the ring, dark and foreboding. He handed the Intercontinental title to the referee, glaring at Elias while the title match was announced.  Elias only let go of his guitar long enough to get rid of his mic and his scarves. Once the bell rang, the instrument whistled through the air, just barely missing Drew’s head. The champion slid out of the ring to quickly arm himself. Steel chairs, tables, and another guitar hidden in the bell box (after the first one was broken) came into play. The ring was littered with bamboo strips and fractured tables. Still, both men eluded the count.
A third guitar came out from under the ring. “How many guitars does Elias have?” Corey asked, flabbergasted. No matter how many more were hidden under the ring, it was the last one Elias needed. He scaled a turnbuckle and jumped. Drew turned just in time to catch the hit on his shoulder, collapsing as it splintered. Elias pinned him, even with chunks of wood jabbing into his own body. It had taken almost a year, but Elias was finally the Intercontinental champion once again.

It was time to see who won the backstage battle to face Bayley and Sasha Banks for the Raw Women’s Tag Titles. Renee had kept up with the results better than anyone else. “The last people we saw standing were Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan of the Riott Squad. Right before Roman’s match against Dr. M, they had gotten the jump on Natalya and Rhonda.”
Corey shrugged. “I don’t think any of us really thought that team was going to face the champions. They had quite a moment during the women’s battle royal. And it cost them.”
“But now it’s Boss and Hug time,” Cole said as the champions came down the ramp. The women waited patiently in the ring to see who their opponents were going to be. They bumped each other’s shoulders as the aforementioned team came out to the stage. Sarah and Liv cackled, proud of themselves for having won the moment. They were just about to take a step forward when they were hit from behind. Not waiting for them to get up, Alicia Fox and Mickie James rushed down the ramp. If they could make it to the ring and survive until the bell, the match was theirs. They made it, jumping and hugging one another while Sasha and Bayley stood back and golf-clapped.
The partying didn’t last long. It was time for the match. And it was a showstopper. Alicia and Mickie had years of experience on their side, years of being glossed over, years of waiting to step up only to be stepped over. Sasha and Bayley had the legacy NXT’s four horsewomen behind them and the rebuilt strength of their friendship. They had the championship buffer as well. That helped a lot when Mickie knocked Sasha out of the ring. She was willing to wait for the count, taking her time to roll around, but Alicia raced around the ring and shoved the champion back into the ring. Caught off-guard, Mickie was too busy mocking Bayley to sense the danger behind her.
Bayley ran across the ring to spear Alicia off the apron so Mickie could be pinned. Their titles retained, they stood together, ushering the new era of women’s wrestling.
***
The guys’ tag match didn’t go as smoothly for the champions. At first, it looked like they had everything under control. Rezar started the match against Sami Zayn. Behind him, Akam shouted what to do, and when to move away from the ropes when it looked like Kevin Owens was about to try something. Eventually, the tags switched and the process was the same. But as the match progressed, battle lines were drawn. Akam took a particularly teasing hit from Sami, who was good at dodging his grasp. Kevin was able to keep up with Rezar and keep him on his toes. The fight extended to ringside, and that’s when things got… broken.
No limbs, thankfully. But things definitely fell apart. Rezar was ringside meeting Owens blow for blow, toss for toss, and was mid-roar after throwing Owens into a barricade when Sami came running by. Akam was quick on his heels, but the champions zigged when they should have zagged. The two massive bodies colliding sent both men flying back the way they came. Sami and Kevin had recovered, and it took both to toss Akam back into the ring. With Rezar still reeling and unable to help, Sami made the pin. The victors met in the center of the ring, falling to their knees and accepting their new tag championship. They met again at the top of the massive ramp and held their titles high.
***
The last singles match of the night was for the Raw Women’s Championship between Ruby Riott and Alexa Bliss. As hostess, Alexa directed the biggest entrance of the night worthy of her talent, and arguably her ego. Ruby took a simpler entrance. Not that she needed anything bigger. Having the championship around her waist, and then on her shoulder, was stunning enough.
Alexa brought out all the stops. An unspoken goal had been for her team to hold all the Raw women’s titles. But with Mickie and Alicia coming up short, it was up to her to take up the slack. Ruby was similarly in mood. Her tag-mates had been denied their match. If she could retain, the Riott Squad had hope to rise again. Ruby accepted Alexa’s attack, then rerouted it for her own mission. A Twisted Bliss was narrowly avoided, and the stunned Alexa was easy to catch in a submission while Ruby caught her breath. Several more dives from the top ropes happened, but it was a Riot Kick to one of Alexa’s leaps that finished the match. Ruby retained, screaming into the night air with her title in her hands.
***
Now was the main event.
“This match is a Universal Championship triple-threat match set for one fall. The competitor who is pinned will have to leave the WWE forever.”
Dean nervously looked between Seth and Brock Lesnar. And the title. He bit back the urge to look towards the ramp as if you were there. Backstage, you were just as nervous. Roman was hovering by the tv too, but from a distance, so he could run to the ring as soon as the match was over. Sheamus stood right behind you, holding the hand you had resting on your shoulder.
At the bell, Seth and Dean instantly rushed to attack Lesnar in one swoop. He was laughing before they reached him. With his two large hands, he caught each around the throat. First, Lesnar tossed Seth one way and between the ropes. He threw Dean back towards the center of the ring, then caught him with the first suplex of the match. Seth pulled Dean to the floor and slid in, starting the attack he planned. His quick movements kept confusing the Beast. And they were wearing him down. A well-placed Frog-Splash caught Lesnar in the ribs, but he twisted Seth into a submission. Dean rushed back in to break it up before his brother had to tap out.
Seth remained huddled in the corner, nursing his arm while Dean and Lesnar faced off again. This time Dean was successful in dodging the harder blows and the attempted suplexes. He managed to drop him with a Dirty Deeds and instantly tried for a pin. Which instantly failed. Dean knew he couldn’t let up on the attack, but Lesnar’s low laugh was unnerving.
“I don’t care which one of you I pin,” he chuckled. “It’s all the same to me. No, what will matter after this match, is how your little cousin survives with me as champion.” They both rose to their feet, circling each other. “Maybe I do care. If my reign is going to be a bit more hands-on, I’d rather not have you in the way.” Behind them on the floor, Paul Heyman nodded, grinning ear to ear. Seth heard too and used the ropes to get back to his feet.
Lesnar was flanked on both sides. E wasn’t bothered by that until the timing of brothers kicked in. If he thought keeping up with Rollins or stomping down Ambrose was hard, it was nigh impossible to keep tabs on both. Dean was wildest of the two. The threat was enough to send him boarder-lining on several mistakes. Those close calls got him suplexed across the ring, several of which sent him hurtling to the floor. Still, it distracted the Beast enough from Seth’s darting attacks. Alone, the plan might have worked. With both of them working against Lesnar? It was becoming a sure match.
Then Lesnar fell out of the ring, just as Dean and Seth found themselves on opposite sides of it.
Backstage, you shook your head. “No.” You whispered. “Don’t do it guys.”
They looked at one another, and to where Brock was out of sight. Seth launched half a second before Dean did, catching him in the chest and taking him to the canvas. The referee was just swooping in to count when Seth jolted back. The price came to mind. And it was too high. With another shared look, they rolled through the ropes and set on bringing Lesnar back onto the canvas. With both of them then leaning on his chest, the referee kneeled to count. Dean backed away before he started, watching as all three seconds went by.
The screen erupted with the cheers of the crowd, but you were frozen. Sheamus shook your shoulders. “What’s wrong? They won.”
“If this had been the original contract, Dean would have just given up his career… of his own free will.”
Roman was already gone. You hurried out the door to follow him. By the time you made it to the ramp, Dean was already enveloped in a Roman-sized bear hug. You took over, hugging Dean with all your strength. Seth was still in the ring, showing off his retained Universal title at each ring post. Brock Lesnar and his advocate came up the ramp, both of them panting. Dean’s back was still turned to them. Unaware of the danger. You pushed him and Roman back and stood between them and the advancing party. Lensar paused, amused that you thought he’d give an effort now that he was done with the company. He was long gone by the time Seth caught up.
The brothers in arms shared a victory hug. One that you watched from a distance. You couldn’t hear what they were saying to one another, but that was okay. It wasn’t for you to hear. When the huddle broke, Dean caught you around the shoulders the same way Roman caught his, and they led you backstage.
Seth Rollins looked out over the crowd. A sold-out arena all shouting ‘slay the beast’. Because he had. With the biggest smile on his face in a long time, he lifted the red and gold belt above his head. It was theirs; he’d won it for them. And he’d defend it for them, no matter what it took.

Out in the open
Roman Reigns x Reader
Prompt: You join the Shield and your boyfriend to also keep justice in the women's devision. Through the segment your relationship is revealed.
Warnings: bad writing, a bit fluff maybe?, OOC probably
It's my first WWE-related fanfiction so maybe it isn't the best. I still hope you like it.
*****
Tumblr media
You looked into the mirror in front of you in your dressing room, ready to get out.
You wore a black stomach-free top, a maybe a little too short cargo hot pants and black boots. Around your left leg is a holder with small pockets. You wore brown eyeshadow and the black mascara and black eyeliner made your eyes a bit bigger. They looked almost innocent and create a big contrast to the rest of your outfit. Your lips were darkred.
Nervous you checked more than once your outfit. You wanted to look perfect for the show. Everything was planned. You would go out and interrupt Miz Tv while he is talking shit about Roman. You would have everything under control but the Shield would come out anyways. You join them, because they think you would fit. Miz would talk about your relationship and then he will get punished by the hounds of justice. After that you would get back behind the scenes. Maybe an interview or two and then you could go home.
You are quite good in wrestling, actually you are tag team champions with your best friend Sasha. You met her when you joined the WWE and just clicked. She actually introduced you to your now boyfriend.
People liked you, they liked you even more when you starting fighting with Sasha. You were popular for your flip knee drop. You stand on the highest rope of the ring, jump and do a flip to land on your knees on the chest of the opponent. Thats your final move for most of the time.
But there also could be a lot of trouble with the planned scenario. Your boyfriend wasn't quite liked at the moment. Stuff about his Promos, the booking of his matches and of course the drug thing.
So you didn't know what was going to happen tonight. The audience could just start hating at you or they would accept it. Or maybe they would actually like it.
"Hey! (Y/n), Big Dog asks for you." Dean knocked hard on your door. "Sorry, I can't. We meet each other in ten on stage anyways. Tell him to wait 'til then." You heard a grumble on the other side of the door and shouted after him. "And that he could come on his own and not sent you all the time!" You chuckled a bit.
You were quite close to these guys. They were all your best friends. They supported you from the beginning of your joining. And eventually you became good friends and more.
They had another entrance area so you wouldn't meet. And they wouldn't get the chance to actually see your new attire. You didn't know what the boys would think and what your boyfriend would say. He is quite protective and covers you most of the time in the locker room. You just hoped for the best to happen. You could never be sure in a show like that.
You stood in front of your entrance door and waited for Mike to say his lines and for your music.
"...And thats not the only thing! What's with your so called 'Hounds of Justice'?! Where are they?! Haven't been around lately! You all need new protectors, this ring needs new protectors, this COMPANY needs new protectors!!... So we decided for ourselves - The Bar and me, The Miz - to be your new heroes!... They all can't wrestle anyway!" You heard Miz' words loud and clear in your area. They encouraged you even more. Somebody needed to shut his mouth again. You chuckled a bit and grinned wide when your music hit.
You walked outside, the confidence clear in your steps. The crowd chanted your song and Miz stood in the ring. His face in 'shock'. You heard a few whistle when you walked down to the stage. You climbed on top of the small stairs and turned to the fans. Your arms raised in the air. You faced Miz and climbed over the middle rope. You smirked to him mockingly. When your music stopped he raised his microphone and said. "(Y/n)! Hey! Why are you out here?! If you want to be on Miz Tv then get in the line! I have better things to do than listen to your crap!" He earned himself a few 'Boo's with that. You walked around him, ignoring him, and shouted to the crowd "Good evening Atlanta! How are you doing?" They cheered loud. "You seem to have a good time even with this scumbag talking so much shit." You grinned wide, head raised high. You heard the Miz gasp in shock. He wanted to raise his voice, but got interrupted with 'Scumbag' - chants. You laughed. It was just too funny.
"Excuse me?!-" You interrupted him. "You are. Now shut your mouth, Mike. Before I make you." His mouth opened, but closed just a moment after that. "Who do you think you are? Trying to - Yeah! What are you actually trying to do?! Be the new Shield? Fight for justice? Come on, Miz. Like most of the people in that locker room put you more than once on your ass. What do you want to do? Ask them nicely to be not too harsh with you? Because you are not good enough to make them do what you want? You really think Cesaro and Sheamus are on your side? They are stupid if they think that this would be a great idea!" You stopped for a moment and looked around. You shrugged. "Miz Tv is the best example! We just come out here to beat you up. Nobody cares about your talk show! Thats not what we are hired for, Mikey!" The crowd cheered loud for your speech. You waited for his answer. The blonde started to speak "Are you finished? Because now I tell YOU something. I don't- " The music of the Shield hits.
The crowd went insane. It didn't matter what anyone thinks of the single characters, because when those three are together nothing can stop them. They proved it many times before. You couldn't decide if Miz looked annoyed or terrified, but what you knew: He was shocked.
The hounds of justice made their way down to the ring. It's a few months since they reunited and Miz was right. They haven't been around lately, because Dean was injured. You stayed in the middle, Miz was slowly coming closer. 'Oh Mike,... you know they don't come for me.' You thought smirking.
Dean, Seth and Roman surrounded the ring as always and stalked their target. Seth to your left, Dean to your right and Roman in front of you. They stared at Miz and the tension was growing. What you didn't expect really was how Roman locked his eyes with yours after a moment and didn't seem to let it go. This was for the guys to show that you are what they want. You didn't want to let him win over the dominance. So you looked back while he and the other two made their way into the ring. You grew nervous when Seth and Dean surrounded you and not Miz. He walked to the side and out of the dangerous zone. He stood outside of the rope. You just had to break the contact from the big dog and looked around you. Seth walked up and down, acted like he was checking you out. Dean did the same but without moving so much.
It was not the first encounter for you and the guys to meet on stage, but you never met them as The Shield. You only met them alone or as Tag Teams. It felt like it was the first time meeting them. They had so much power and were just really intimidating as a group. It was just a complete different atmosphere.
The big dog stopped a few steps in front of you. He looked up and down at you and turned to Seth with smug smirk. Seth punched Roman in the chest brotherly and laughed a bit. Dean stood a bit on the side, awfully quite for him. Seth lifted his microphone and spoke up "You know what? Deano, I like your idea. It would fit so good." Dean started to nod confident. "Yeah, I told you. What's up, Big Dog? What do you think?" He said. Roman looked at them before he turned to you again. Your eyes met again. "I like it. What do you say Atlanta? Would you want (Y/n) to become a member of the Shield?!" He viewed the crowd and raised his hands. You raised your eyebrows shocked and annoyed. The audience was shocked but started to cheer pretty soon. When it got quieter again you raised your voice.
"Uuhh.. Atlanta, do you hear that?! The Shield! The big boys of WWE! And they ask a small girl like me to help them!" You said sarcastically and got rewarded with laugther. "Guys, we are friends - everybody really knows that. But do you really think I would accept it without you asking nicely? I want you begging on your knees before you can assure me to be part of the team. You want me? Start fighting for it!" You explained with a firm voice. You were their friend. But your character wasn't the easiest to get through. Also they weren't the first who tried to get you on the team. They will just be the first actually who got you on board. With - what you thought - great reasoning.
"We don't need to fight to get you. We already have you." Roman smirked. You looked at him questioning. "Not like that this is the first time you get something right. You do that quite a lot lately. It's about fighting for what you think is right. Just like we do. So why not join my brothers and me? Why not join us and kick some ass?" - "Well big dog, aren't you enough people in your boyband? It's not like you need me anyways." You tried to reason, but he kept going. "It's more. It's about family. And like you just came out and defended us, we will come out and help you, fight for you. That's what a family does. It doesn't end with blood." He grabbed Deans shoulder and pulled him into his shoulder. He did the same with Seth and his arms stayed on their shoulders. They grinned at each other and then at you. "So? What do you say? Will you join us?" Seth asked now.
"Let's ask Atlanta! Atlanta! What do you say?!" You shouted to them. There was quite the tension after they asked. But the crowd erupted in 'Yes'-chants after you asked the question. You smiled happy, everybody seems to want you as a part of the Shield. You grinned and said "Well, you hear them! It seems that The Shield are now four!"
The audience cheered and you turned to them. The Shield cheered too. In no time Seth and Dean stood besides you and hold your arms up as if you won. You laughed and they grinned. You heard the usual howl for a triple powerbomb and wanted to turn. But you couldn't the architect and the lunatic fringe lifted you up and put you down on Romans shoulders. You put your hand into his wet hair to stable yourself. You laughed and a shower of adrenaline rolled down your spine. It wasn't bad. You felt amazing. The people all shouted and partied, the boys were happy and you were happy.
When everything began to get quieter Miz - who everybody forgot about - raised his voice. "Aawww... finally! All the freaks are together! Now they can have christmas eve together. Starring the little son: Dean Ambrose! The older son: Seth Rollins and the lovely mother and father: (Y/n) and the big dog! The perfect freakshow!" He shouted sarcastically. You knew this was the time to expose the relationship and grew nervous. You all looked at him, Roman put you down carefully. One hand searched his way to your waist when he stepped a bit in front of you, the hand never leaving its place. Without a microphone Roman told Mike multiple times to shut up until Miz decided to say loud, so everybody could have heard him. "What!? Getting all protective over your girlfriend? You should! Women are crazy about me! Ask your cousin, Jimmy!" He grinned triumphantly.
Within a second Roman let you go and chased after Mike. He should have run for his life. But he ran faster when Jimmy came out and he was surrounded by two angry samoans. You stepped to the rope and leaned on the top one. A smile placed on your face. Dean came to your side and held a microphone for you out. You took it and thanked him.
"Hey, Mikey.. what were you saying? Maybe if you want to steal someone's girl you should search for someone whos boyfriend is not able to kill you on an instant." He held his arms out in defence and talked to the samoans. He apologised for being such an ass, but Mikey: the damage was already done.
They cornered him and started (fake-)punching him. Within seconds he lays on the ground, hands over his head and the two attackers towered over him, trash-talked to him. They got him up and pushed him into the ring. Dean and Seth greeted him there and got him up. Miz stood between them and was held by his arms. First one there to do his thing was Jimmy who superkicked him in the chest while the big dog howled his typical call. Miz was janked up again and put over the Romans shoulders by the Architect and the lunatic fringe. They triple-powerbombed him. In the mean time you climbed the top rope and did your finisher, the flip knee drop. The crowd was on their feet for you all. All those attacks are crowd-favourites and then all of them after one each other got a lot of hype to show up.
You stood up and all of you lifted your arms and got cheered. So much adrenaline floated through your veins and you couldn't stop yourself, but kissed Roman. You grabbed his face and pulled him to you. His thick arms pressed your body against his. You smiled against his lips. The audience began to cheer and made kissing noises. But you could only concentrate on your boyfriend. It was out now. Out in the open. It would become a lot easier now. You didn't have to hide anymore.
The kiss didn't last as long as you wanted to but you would have had enough time after the segment.
Time ran fast after that. You made a round for autographs and pictures with a few fans. Some of them even gratulated you what put a smile on your face.
After all of that you all were finished for the night. What meant showers, change locations and sleep. The show was still going so you had enough time to shower. You got separated from The Shield to get checked. Even if you haven't done much they still wanted to check your knees. Old injuries and stuff.
So you were alone in your dressing room again and tried to calm down. You sat on your couch with your favorite tea and still in your gear. It was your ritual. Your eyes are closed and you concentrated only on your breathing. A knock on the door interrupted you. All you said was "Come in." You didn't bother to ask because you knew who it was anyway.
The couch sank at your side. Arms wrapped around your belly and a nose was pressed against your tummy. You smiled.
"We did it." The deep voice was calm. "Now you are officially mine." - "Cool down, big guy, I am nobodys but mine." You chuckled and opened your eyes. Unconsciously did you put your hand in the long hair and started to massage his sculp. "I love you, Leati." You smiled. "I love you too."

Give us an angsty scenario for a sheasaro breakup
ohhhhh bOYYYYYYYY i have like three under the cut, buckle up
The Bar wins vs The New Day in the MITB qualifier tag team match next week and they kinda argue about who gets the spot in the MITB match. sheamy wants in coz he’s a successful MITB cash-in and could do it a second time. cesaro wants in coz he hasn’t won an MITB match and he’s not about to let an opportunity for an opportunity at the top prize go. eventually cesaro relents, since sheamus has won before so that might mean he has a better chance of winning, and hey, a victory for one is a victory for both, right? so sheamus goes in but loses, and cesaro gives him shit for it because as much as both of them wins when one wins, they also both lose when the other loses. sheamus points out the weird logic in this - if cesaro had been in the match, and cesaro had won, was cesaro really going to share the briefcase with him? would they both cash it in? would he co-own the WWE championship with sheamus? cesaro would try to change the subject by convincing sheamus that they can either challenge the briefcase holder for it or they can steal it. they bungle all their attempts up with losses (some with sheamus getting the pin or being made to tap) and/or getting caught, which leads to an even bigger rift, until cesaro goes into business for himself without consulting sheamus or bringing him along. he gets the briefcase, either by challenging the holder of it and cheating to win, or by stealing it and finding some loophole to bind it to him as the new owner. he then officially kicks sheamus to the curb, saying that now he’s got the MITB briefcase, what does he need sheamus for? sheamus only puts Ls on his record, but he’s going to go and win himself the WWE championship.
sheamus goes into the MITB match, wins the briefcase again, cashes in successfully again outta nowhere, becomes WWE champ. he honestly, sincerely, calls cesaro his co-champion coz they’re a team, they’re the best team, they are The Bar together. but over time, cesaro’s bitterness and jealousy gets the best of him. he asks to fight sheamus in a “friendly” title bout, which sheamus says yes to, because what’s the harm in it, even if he loses to cesaro, his best friend cesaro, his brother from a foreign mother, the title would still be with The Bar, and cesaro deserves the championship anyway, he’s always believed that. the match is nasty and aggressive and cesaro seems angry and desperate, but ultimately loses. sheamus thinks all is well, but then cesaro keeps getting him DQ wins in matches, for the title or otherwise, and tells him he’s just protecting sheamus’ championship, even if it means having to smack sheamus around a bit in front of the ref so that sheamus gets the win. sheamus becomes more and more wary, even as cesaro tries to assuage his fears, but then one night, it all boils over, and sheamus has enough of it. when cesaro tries to get him DQed again, he attacks cesaro, who fights back. cesaro plays the indignant victim - “i was just trying to help you, why are you angry?!” - but sheamus knows what cesaro really wants.
they both lose to the new day in the MITB qualifier match, and decide after a couple more losses, which cesaro blames on sheamus, to move on and try to challenge for the SD tag titles, because that’s what they built their team and momentum on over on RAW. they win it once, maybe twice, but every loss they take, no matter how big or small, grates on cesaro. how can they call themselves The Bar if sheamus keeps getting his ass kicked? sheamus takes exception to this, saying cesaro would have been lost in the shuffle in 2017 if it wasn’t for him. cesaro makes him put his money where his mouth is, and challenges him to get three wins without him before the next pay-per-view. sheamus gets two, but cesaro sabotages his final chance at the third win, and it breaks out into an all out brawl that sees cesaro lay sheamus out. paige and/or shane mcmahon decides to put a stop to it all by pitting them against each other at the pay-per-view, with the winner getting an opportunity at a title of their choice, from either Smackdown or RAW, essentially doing the 8th match in their best-of-7 that Mick Foley refused to put them in, which saw them become a tag team in the first place. the irony isn’t lost on either sheamus or cesaro, but they both acknowledge that this is what it was always going to come to, and how it’s supposed to end. that final match sees them sort of make up, and cesaro comes out on top, and declares on the next episode of Smackdown that he’s going after the Universal Championship, and is going back to RAW to do so, which means leaving sheamus behind on Smackdown. they have a big, almost touching goodbye, until sheamus Brogue Kicks cesaro into next week.
sheamus confides to cesaro that he doesn’t think he’s gonna be around much longer. he’s been in the company nearly 10 years, some injuries keep nagging him, he thinks he’s slowing down, he’s not sure his place is still in the ring, maybe it’s time he slowly faded into the background, let the present and future of the company, like cesaro, shine. cesaro doesn’t believe sheamus is quite there yet, but promises to win the tag titles with him one last time at least, and tries to convince sheamus not to retire from in-ring competition until he gets that elusive Grand Slam win (which is near impossible at this point because the IC title is on a different show). they build their momentum back up with wins as tweeners. the first two times they challenge for the titles, they lose, and sheamus gets depressed about it and starts to lose a little bit of hope. cesaro tells him that this is not the sheamus he came to know and appreciate as His Tag Team Partner™, so he convinces him to challenge for the title match one last time, and if they lose again, then they can try to get transferred back to RAW so he can help him get the IC title instead. sheamus doesn’t get why cesaro seems so optimistic about it all, but okay sure, he’ll have one more go. they win the tag titles at Summerslam, and cesaro says he and sheamus are throwing a party on the next Smackdown Live episode. at the party, Paige or Shane tells them that if they’re able to defend their titles successfully in three consecutive matches, Sheamus gets a chance to challenge for the IC title at Survivor Series, and if he wins, he gets to bring it to Smackdown. they get the three wins, and Sheamus wins the IC title at Survivor Series. on the next Smackdown, Paige or Shane tells them that Kurt Angle won’t let Sheamus take it the IC title to Smackdown if he’s also also tag champ at the same time, which means Sheamus has to choose between relinquishing the IC title, or relinquishing the Smackdown tag titles. sheamus declares that he knows what’s right, he knows who got him where he is and he knows who he’s not going to turn his back on - and then Brogue Kicks the life out of cesaro and declares the SD tag titles vacated, declaring that the person who got him where he is now, the person he’s not ever turning his back on, is himself, and officially breaks up The Bar. when cesaro confronts him about this on a later date, Sheamus laughs at Cesaro for buying into his “i think it’s about time i left” BS, and maybe that gullibility is why it was so easy for him to use Cesaro to get what he wanted; if it’s anyone’s time to disappear, it’s Cesaro’s, because without him, Cesaro will be lost in the background again, forever grasping at a brass ring being kept out of his reach, only to be remembered as the little man Sheamus had to step on to get here.
L I S T E N i love My Dads The Lads™ and i hope they never break up but if they have to, i hope that when it happens it’s extra af and kind of heart-breaky with an emotional pay-off so good that it’s gonna kept getting put on “Top 10 Most Heartwrenching Tag Team Break-ups Of All Time” lists for the rest of time.

ೃ༄ TWENTY TWENTY T’REE (sheamus x fem!reader)
Tumblr media
ೃ༄ PAIRING: sheamus x fem!reader
ೃ༄ REQUESTED BY: anon
Can I have a one shot with sheamus where he’s kinda irritated and speaking loud and fast. Just ranting to his partner and he turns to see her trying not to laugh because she loves his strong accent
ೃ༄ WARNINGS: none (unless u count laughing at his accent. reader is gonna laugh at his accent)
ೃ༄ WORD COUNT: 788
ೃ༄ NOTE: THIS IS VERY SHORT BUT as someone who is dating an irish person…. this is the story of my life don’t get me wrong my girlfriend is the loml but sometimes i do have to ask her to slow down. just read everything in an irish accent pls
Tumblr media
you heard sheamus arrive home before you saw him. the telltale sound of a car door slamming in the driveway gave away how your boyfriend was most likely feeling, so you resigned yourself to readying the comfort as you finished up your work.
you were lazily thrown across the couch, laptop on your thighs as you flicked through spreadsheets for your job. no day off apparently.
as the door to your home opened, you could hear telltale irish muttering that the day hadn’t quite been everything he had wanted it to be. he seemed to kick his shoes off as opposed to place them on the rack neatly, if the banging against the hallway door was a good enough sign.
“i’m home.” then came a tired shout, and you chuckled to yourself at the obvious statement.
“no way.” was your sarcastic response, turning your head just in time to see your boyfriend appear through the doorway, wasting no time in shooting you a (hopefully) playful glare. “welcome home, love.”
for a moment, he cracked a smile through the layers of frustration, walking over to where you sat and leaning down just enough to peck your lips. his hair was still slightly damp from a shower at the training centre, the feeling of it touching your forehead making you shudder momentarily.
“how was training?” you felt vaguely like your were poking the bear, seeing the way his shoulders tensed at the question.
sheamus immediately jumped into busying himself around the room, unpacking his bag and putting everything back in its place. “it was a load of shite. boss man pulled me into his office not even half way t’rough, something about a new storyline that’s entirely bullshite if you ask me.”
you raised an eyebrow, allowing him to move around you as you formatted something on your spreadsheet, noting down a total at the bottom. “in what way?”
“they’re just not even trying t’ hide their favouritism now — got the most insane match cards lined up with winners ya wouldn’t even t’ink possible. half the guys in t’ locker room don’t like it, but we’ve gotta do what the boss man wants.”
you hummed noncommittally, typing something into your laptop as he continued in the background.
“i’m fed up at this point. we cannay even have a day these days, then i got put t’rough a table wrong in training, proper botched it and could barely get up for a second. i tell yous it’s gone to shite since the hey days, could do with a whole rebrand a’ this point but i don’t t’ink even tha’ could save us.”
by now, you were barely following what sheamus was saying. he had a habit of talking fast when annoyed, and this time was no exception, but coupled with your half focus — you wouldn’t deny you had lost entire understanding of what he said half way through. it was something you had noticed in the years you had been together; no matter how used to his accent you had gotten, he always got more irish the moment he was even slightly upset. unfortunately, the thicker accent coupled with the speed usually equaled y/n losing everything he was saying.
you had to chuckle to yourself as he went off again in the background, thankful he wasn’t looking in your direction as you tried to hide your amusement behind your hand.
“i dun’ even know their reasons for this one, i t’ink they’re just t’rowing shite out there now ‘nd hoping for the best. they used to give us reasons for whatever they did, but now it’s just ‘hey sheamus my man do this entirely unreasonably t’ing just for views even though it doesn’t match your character at all’, it’s— are you alright there?”
you glanced up to see sheamus looking straight at you, clearly having seen the way you were practically folded in on yourself in amusement.
trying to calm yourself down was worse, the laughter you were suppressing coming out in snorts by now. “i’m so— i’m so sorry! you’re-“ you hicupped “you’re just very irish.”
“no shite sherlock.” your boyfriend responded, but as you looked up at him, he was cracking a smile of his own, the frustrated expression he had worn before cracking in its facade “have i ever told you i hate yous?”
you giggled again, lying full on your side by now on the sofa. opening your arms, you beckoned him to come join you with a smile that he mirrored on his own face “many times. you never fail to remind me.”
sheamus cackled loudly, practically jumping on top of you as he peppered kisses along your cheeks. “wait till you meet my father.”

Royal Rumble thoughts
The hype surrounding the Rumble every year mostly revolves around surprise entrants and upset winners.  Coincidentally, the attitude after the Royal Rumble has been bitter disappointment for years now.  Let’s face reality now and save ourselves some trouble.
There have been 30 Royal Rumble matches.  Many of them have featured the unexpected debut/return of a guy.  Only one of those surprise entrants has actually won the Rumble, and that was Batista in 2014.
In the last 10 Rumbles, only two winners were not former WWE world champions: Alberto Del Rio and Roman Reigns.  (And both of them lost the title matches they earned by winning.)  In fact, the winners of the last 10 Rumbles were: John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Del Rio, Sheamus, Cena again, Batista, Reigns, Triple H, and Orton again.  All of these were fairly conservative picks, in the sense that you wouldn’t need to twist Vince McMahon’s arm to go with any of them.
The modern fantasy of the Royal Rumble largely comes from John Cena’s victory in 2008: That at any moment (most likely near the end), the very last person you expected to see would show up and clean house to win.  But that moment was mostly due to Cena coming back early from an injury.  “John Cena beats 29 men” is not exactly radical think-outside-the-box booking for WWE.
The mystique of the Royal Rumble is that a rising star can, in one night, catapult over top contenders to take his rightful place in the last match at Wrestlemania and close the show with his very first world title win.  That’s what Shawn Michaels did in 1996, and Batista did in 2005.  But it sure hasn’t happened lately, has it?
Alternately, the dream Rumble scenario is an ex-champion, denied his rightful place in the sun, finally overcoming all obstacles.  He returns to Wrestlemania a conquering hero reaffirming his place at the top of the mountain, like Bret Hart in 1994 or (sort of) Steve Austin in 1999.  The closest WWE has come to that scenario in the last 10 years is John Cena in 2013, which was more like the beginning of the end of his run as a tippy-toppy guy.  They may try again this year with Reigns, but it’s anyone’s guess if that’ll actually connect with people.
Now, I’m not saying the Rumble winner can’t be Shinsuke Nakamura, or Ethan Carter III, or even some totally nuts prediction like Kenny Omega or Daniel Bryan.  What I’m saying is that, if you actually think about it, WWE has given you no reason to expect anything so unconventional.  The safest bet is still either a) Reigns or b) a Smackdown guy so Reigns can still challenge Brock Lesnar.  And of the available choices for a Smackdown winner, you have to take Vince’s personal favorites (Cena, Orton, Jinder, Corbin) seriously whether you want to or not.
I’m rooting for surprises at this year’s Rumble.  But for that very reason, I’m way more jazzed for the women’s match, because there’s a lot more room to do some big shakeups and plot twists.  The men’s Rumble has been running on fumes for a decade, and maybe it’s time we treat it as such.

okay so given all the amazing teases we've been getting lately, do you think kevin and sami will become a tag team soon? and what's your Dream Scenario for it?
These teases are killing me in the best way possible!  I don’t think it’s likely that they’re going to be a tag team very soon (though I would love it)–I’m hoping that Survivor Series this coming November forces them to work together in some way and that lays more groundwork for a tag team run, maybe next year?
My preferred scenario for them tagging changes from week to week, and I’d be happy with ANYTHING, but right now it would make some sense that Shane might put them together as a punishment to Kevin (and if Sami gets vocal about feeling like he’s stagnating).  It’s a little tough because Cesaro/Sheamus and Seth/Dean basically have recently done a lot of that kind of storyline, but I’m sure Sami and Kevin would find ways to keep it fresh!
The one thing I’m really eager to get with Kevin and Sami that we did NOT get (so far) with Seth and Dean–I would really love to get a scene where the Usos are coming after Sami with some weapon (kendo sticks are nice for thwackiness, chairs better for emotional resonance) and Kevin shields a semi-conscious Sami with his own body and takes a terrible beating for him.  This makes me sound like a terrible sadist, I suppose, but within wrestling narrative redemption tends to be gained at a physical cost, and I don’t think I’ll ever feel like there’s closure for Sami until he’s seen that Kevin is willing to take as much pain to protect Sami as he once caused Sami.  Or–in a different kind of closure–that at some point he does some act that causes him to lose a title (singles or their tag titles) in order to save Sami, valuing Sami above a championship just as once he valued a championship above Sami.  I crave that sense of balance a LOT with Kevin.
I was also batting around ideas with @tripleht recently about Sami, frustrated with his prospects, in a dark place and yearning to connect with Kevin again, having a “heel turn”–and I use scare quotes because he’d be trying really hard to heel it up and be mean and edgy to the point that it’s clear it’s all performative to try and impress Kevin.  (He dyes his hair black and gets new all-black gear with something edgy written on it!  He gives angry nihilistic speeches–then secretly gives extra money to charity because he feels bad).  Kevin, of course, thinks this is really great!  He’s so happy Sami’s finally on his side!  He… sure doesn’t miss happy, sunny Sami at all.  Nope.  (Eventually he has to turn face himself because it’s driving him so crazy and he can’t admit it, so it’s just easier to start being a better person so Sami will relax and be himself again).
But all things considered, I will settle for them having two minutes of snark backstage now and then!  I just… want them to keep interacting and I don’t much care how at this point…

My thoughts going into WWE TLC 2017
Before I get into my thoughts surrounding TLC I thought this was interesting. In recent years I've been to all sorts of wrestling events, and when it comes to WWE I saw SmackDown Live earlier this year, then an NXT house show, so the thought came into my head, "Wouldn't it be cool if the next WWE event that came to Minnesota was a Raw PPV?" And sure enough, they announced that TLC would be coming to the newly renovated Target Center. Since that announcement I went to New York City and happened to be there during when Summerslam took place. Seeing everyone hyped up for that made me even more hyped for TLC. I also was extremely lucky and happened to bump into Kurt Angle in the airport on the way home.
Now let's get onto the event itself
Let's start off with the most recent announcement
Drew Gulak's PowerPoint Presentation has been added to the kick off show. Not much to say on this. But added content is always nice. I'll be honest and say I'm not familiar with the segment, but I'm hoping it leads to a match or at least leads to someone coming out.
Also on the kickoff show is Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox. I'm not particularly a fan of either of them but once again added content is always appreciated. The storyline going into the match is silly but could provide a decent match.
Now in no particular order let's talk about the main card
The Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher vs. Cedric Alexander and Rich Swann
Kinda bizarre to see Brian and Jack teaming up after they feuded earlier this year but I have a feeling they will have a good match. With that said, Cedric and Rich are both talented in their own right.
Kalisto vs. Enzo
The storyline surrounding both guys is all over the place. I'm sure there's going to be some run ins. While this is fine, it would be nice to see these two just have a normal singles match with no interferences.
Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James
Going off of what has happened historically in similar scenarios, I believe Mickie is going to lose, however I would like to see her win. It would be a feel good moment and she really does deserve another title run. Her in ring work is very impressive. Now don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Alexa Bliss, but it would be interesting to see how Mickie James would be as champion again.
Asuka vs. Emma
My thoughts on this match are pretty simple. It's going to be an awesome historic moment to be there live for Asuka's main roster debut and I hope she remains undefeated.
The Demon vs. Sister Abagail
Once again my thoughts are fairly straightforward on this one. Both men have been booked pretty awfully recently, especially Bray Wyatt. I hope Finn Balor wins this one.
And now for the main event: The newly reformed Shield vs. The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro, Braun Strowman and Kane.
I'm really torn on this one. Seeing Kane again live is going to be pretty surreal. But at the same time this is the first PPV match of the reformed Shield. No matter what happens I think it's gonna be a great match. I think Curtis Axel is going to turn on the Miz and it would be nice to see him make a hometown appearance. Now here are some pipe dream run ins. The Undertaker (Which yes, I know is almost certainly not gonna happen, but hey they brought back Kane so I guess you never know) and Matt Hardy. It would be a shame to have a TLC match and not see Matt considering Jeff is out of action for a long time.
While I'm pumped for the PPV,especially since I'll be attending it live, you do get the sense that WWE is kinda pulling at straws as far as some of the matches on the card. Depending on who you are this will most likely be a 1 match or 2 match show. The matches I'm most looking forward to the most is the main event and Asuka's main roster debut. I'm looking forward to enjoying the event in general with my cousin and seeing the newly renovated Target Center. This will be the first PPV I will have attended in 12 years. The last one being Judgement Day back in 2005.

This coming Sunday we will witness one of the more loaded WrestleMania cards in history. With 13 matches on the card and a possibility of Undertaker vs. John Cena taking place, lets see what we have in store.
WRESTLEMANIA WOMEN’S BATTLE ROYAL (KICKOFF SHOW)
Those confirmed so far are: Sasha Banks, Natalya, Lana, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Bayley, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Carmella. Expect other competitors from NXT and maybe a name or two from the past to participate in this inaugural event. Besides a possible surprise entrant winning (Ember Moon?), the only others I can see winning this are Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch. Carmella has the briefcase (which could come into play later on in the show) and does not need this win. If Sasha and Bayley continue to feud then the finish could play into that. They could also give Becky the win and try to use that for a feud since she has been wasting away on Smackdown. I’d give Sasha the win here and use this to taunt Bayley for their feud. WINNER: SASHA BANKS
ANDRE THE GIANT MEMORIAL BATTLE ROYAL (KICKOFF SHOW)
Confirmed for this match are: Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Tye Dillinger, Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, Matt Hardy, Goldust, Heath Slater, Rhyno, Zack Ryder, and Primo Colon. Former winners Baron Corbin and Mojo Rawley return but I do not see them as potential victors in this match as it does not make much sense. I also do not expect any of the other names listed to win this match. I think a returning wrestler is going to win this and I’ll go with Big Cass, who will need something returning from injury. Even Big Show is a possibility of being a two-time winner but I think Cass will get the nod in this match. WINNER: BIG CASS
WWE CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FINALS MATCH: CEDRIC ALEXANDER VS. MUSTAFA ALI (KICKOFF SHOW)
Since WrestleMania 33 the Cruiserweight Division has had a rough time. Neville is sitting home and Enzo Amore,Rich Swann, and Austin Aries were all fired from the company. With the division on life support a switch was made an a 16-man tournament was held to crown a new champion and it has breathed life into 205 Live. During the year, Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali (you can add Drew Gulak to the mix as well) have been the most consistent competitors and deserving of a WrestleMania match. When the tournament was put together you got the sense that Cedric would be winning. However, Ali has been cutting some great promos (Like this one from WWE’s YouTube channel) and the story of him using the fact he was only an alternate for the Cruiserweight Classic as fuel to get him the title. There are cases for both guys getting the win and Ali’s underdog story would make for a nice moment but I’ll still go with Cedric here in what should be an excellent match. I think Cedric wins because if he losses then where do you go with him? Ali can get another title opportunity whereas Cedric would end up lost in the shuffle and labeled a choker. WINNER: CEDRIC ALEXANDER
RAW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: ALEXA BLISS (C) VS. NIA JAX
This has been one of the better feuds on WWE TV of late. The fans have gotten behind Jax, the victim of verbal abuse and manipulation by her former friend. Bliss is a great character but dominates her feuds to the point where it has become a detriment to her opponent. It has also made her title reign feel stale and predictable.  In this match, I expect Bliss to finally get some comeuppance and lose the belt. Maybe Bliss can go over to Smackdown and start some new feuds because she has already feuded with everyone on RAW. WINNER: ALEXA BLISS
RAW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: CESARO & SHEAMUS VS. BRAUN STROWMAN AND A PARTNER OF HIS CHOOSING
The Bar has gone through the other teams on RAW so they had to create new challengers. The intrigue is seeing who will be Braun’s partner and you can speculate as to who he will end up choosing (could be someone returning from injury like Samoa Joe or Big Show or another person on the main roster like Elias) but no matter what I think we see a title change here. If the Bar stays as a team, switching brands is for the best, but a split might be a good idea too. I do not think this will be a long match but Braun being a tag champ gives him something to do for the short term. WINNER: BRAUN STROWMAN & MYSTERY PARTNER
WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH: RANDY ORTON (C) VS. RUSEV VS. BOBBY ROODE VS. JINDER MAHAL
This is a match with little fanfare. The addition of Rusev was late (PWInsider reports he was added to this match because the company wanted to appease to him after he requested his release) to make this a fatal four-way. He might get the title as a result but watching Orton hit the RKO and getting a win seems fitting for WrestleMania. I really do not see Roode or Mahal having a chance to win but I’ll go with Orton as the winner here but do not be surprised to see a Rusev Day celebration. Rusev can pin Roode or Mahal so Orton can drop the title without getting pinned. WINNER: RANDY ORTON
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH: THE MIZ (C) VS. FINN BALOR VS. SETH ROLLINS
Balor and Rollins had an excellent match this past Monday on RAW with Rollins getting the win. That would lead you to believe that Rollins is the favorite to win this match. Rollins has really stepped up his game over the past couple of months too. This is Balor’s first WrestleMania though and since he just lost on TV I think they return the favor and give him the title. I cannot see Miz retaining and heading over to Smackdown for a feud against Daniel Bryan seems like a natural thing to do. Miz could even retain and take the IC Title with him to Smackdown but I do not think that is the route the company takes. WINNER: FINN BALOR
SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: THE USOS (C) VS. NEW DAY VS. BLUDGEON BROTHERS
The Usos/New Day feud has been the highlight of Smackdown. They have several fantastic matches together but its time for both teams to move on from each other. The Usos have established themselves as a top team but could use a change of scenery. The New Day are still popular but there will come a time where they are going to split up the group or at least break off one member as a singles star. The Bludgeon Brothers involved themselves into this feud after a run-in attack at Fastlane. I do not see any case where the New Day wins this match. The Usos would benefit from a brand switch as the RAW tag ranks needs to be freshened up. I think a scenario where the Usos pin the New Day then lose to Bludgeon Brothers two days later on Smackdown could work well in numerous ways. It can close the book on the New Day/Usos feud and you can also have Usos go over to RAW. WINNER: THE USOS
SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: CHARLOTTE FLAIR (C) VS. ASUKA
Asuka earned her shot by winning the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble match. The story here is really Asuka putting her undefeated streak on the line against what she feels is the top Women’s Champion to prove who is the best. I think we get a highly competitive match and in the end Asuka comes out on top. A scenario where Carmella finally cashes in her Money in the Bank Briefcase only to lose would be highly possible as Asuka can maintain her streak without Charlotte getting pinned. I don’t think Carmella becoming champion is the route they take. WINNER: ASUKA
DANIEL BRYAN & SHANE MCMAHON VS. KEVIN OWENS & SAMI ZAYN
Zayn & Owens need to win in order to keep their jobs on Smackdown. Daniel Bryan’s return to the WWE ring should make for a great moment. The story between all four involved has had its ups and downs but has greatly improved since Fastlane. You get a feeling that Shane can turn on Bryan, and that might happen, but with Bryan returning to the ring I don’t think they want him to lose right off the bat and especially to Owens & Zayn. You can just have Owens & Zayn lose then head over to RAW. Owens & Zayn vs. Braun & Mystery Partner could be your new RAW Tag Team Title feud. I see Bryan winning this match then leading the crowd into an unbelievably loud “yes” chant. WINNER: DANIEL BRYAN & SHANE MCMAHON
KURT ANGLE & RONDA ROUSEY VS. TRIPLE H & STEPHANIE MCMAHON
The beef between Rousey and Stephanie started three years ago at WrestleMania 31 when Rousey threatened to break Stephanie’s arm. And Triple H attacked Kurt Angle at this past Survivor Series to add fuel to the fire. There is a lot of pressure on Rousey in her first match as in WWE. especially since her work on the mic has not wowed anyone. Its clear the company has plans for her and a bad performance will garner a lot of negative attention. Triple H & Stephanie have been tremendous heels on TV to set up this match and have really helped ease Rousey’s transition on screen. I cannot envision a scenario in which Rousey loses so her pinning Stephanie seems like a really safe bet to make in one of the more intriguing matches on the show. WINNER: KURT ANGLE & RONDA ROUSEY
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: AJ STYLES (C) VS. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA
These two faced off against each other at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 event back in 2016 with Nakamura coming out on top in a great match. This time the WWE Championship is at stake with Nakamura choosing to go after this belt after winning the Royal Rumble. I expect a competitive match here and at the end I’m going with Nakamura as the winner. With a roster shakeup expected shortly after WrestleMania I believe that AJ will head over to RAW while Nakamura can feud with a new challenger. This has strong potential to end up as the match of the night. WINNER: SHINSUKE NAKAMURA
UNIVERSAL TITLE MATCH: BROCK LESNAR (C) W/ PAUL HEYMAN VS. ROMAN REIGNS
A rematch three years in the making. With Dana White coming out saying Brock Lesnar is returning to UFC and the fact the company has handpicked Reigns as their future face of the company the outcome seems easy to predict. With that being said, these two had an incredible match at WrestleMania 31 and there is no reason it cannot happen again here even if Lesnar is on the way out. I expect both guys to give it their all and at the end Reigns comes out victorious, likely closing out his 4th straight WrestleMania. WINNER: ROMAN REIGNS

some wonderful Sheamus/Cesaro talk @icouldbewicked and I had in which Sheamus ends up too drunk to find his way back to the hotel :’)))))
l: I like to think they end up in a pub or bar pretty often! to celebrate after having won a match but also to compensate their losses. either of these scenarios ends with Sheamus getting so fuckin drunk that Cesaro has to halfway carry him back to the hotel. no problem for the Swiss though.
and once he’s past the angry drunk phase Sheamus gets all open and clingy and lets Cesaro get close to him. doesn’t want Cesaro to leave after the Swiss drops him on his hotel bed ;_______;
i: Drunk, clingy Sheamus feels himself being dropped on the bed. He'd complain about how rough it was, but the exact words wouldn't form. His brain felt foggy, but... something else that he couldn't name. He had the warmth that the nice beers gave him, but a different heat was missing. Cesaro sighs as he watches Sheamus' overthink. "Your hangover is going to be worse tomorrow with you thinking like that. I'll get the pills and water for you then head back to my room. Call when you wake-up, yeah?"
It takes a while for the words to register, but as they do Cesaro is already turning to leave for the door, pills and water on the nightstand just as he said. With no grace Sheamus turns on his side and lurches forward to grab hold of his partner. As the added weight is felt Cesaro falls forward, bringing a heavy drunk with him. "Come on~ Your room's far. Sleep here tonight or you 'fraid I'll hog the blanket?" The words were slurred, but the flirting was very apparent.
Rolling his eyes Cesaro pushes himself up and picks up Sheamus again (he lost count how many times he's had to readjust his hold onto him through the night. It's become so familiar to have the other attached to him in this state) to as he guides him to the bed. "No, but... since you offered don't be mad if I take them away from you." Like a good gentleman does he tucks Sheamus in before slipping into the bed beside him.
Rolling over Sheamus drapes an arm over Sheamus and presses himself against him as close as possible. Nuzzling his neck there's some mumbled words hidden under the alcohol fueled breath, but Cesaro pays no mind as he closes his eyes for the night. That empty feeling that had no name was no longer inside Sheamus, but in the morning it was Cesaro clinging to Sheamus, legs and arms wrapped around him as Sheamus, as always, stole the blanket.
