Love bombing is not a euphemism for "too much affection too soon," or "high desire for contact."
"Love bombing" is a term originally used in the context of cults to describe a deliberate and coordinated recruitment method that involved feigning friendship and interest in a potential recruit, via flattery, flirtation, physical affection, and very directed positive attention to everything the recruit says in order to lure them into the cult.
Since cults and abusive relationships operate in similar ways and use similar tactics, love bombing in an interpersonal relationship looks like manufacturing closeness in order to trap someone into a relationship in which the abuser has all the control.
And I know these days there's a million bullshit junky articles out there that make you think this is a symptom of cluster b personality disorders, but there is no way for you to be love bombing somebody without realizing it.
If you are an affectionate person and the level of affection and attention you give makes someone uncomfortable, you are not "accidentally" abusing them.
If you are uncomfortable with the level of affection and attention someone is paying you, they are not de facto abusing you.
Love bombing is about using someone's desire for human connection to fast track them into a situation you control that they will feel disinclined to leave.

There's just something so fantastically boyish about Soap Mactavish. The way his eyes light up when he looks at explosions, the way I'm sure he'd stare down a campfire with the same joy. The warmth in his smile, the excitement when he calls out "Bonnie" and chases after you. He's got so much life in him, such a brightness to him. How could anyone not be caught by his rays when he shines like the sun? His laughs are like music, every joke you tell him followed up with another even worse one.
The world stops for him, you stop for him, stop to watch him just... be. He'd take you on dates just to walk around, just to enjoy the world off base. So he can drag you into a beaten up arcade and laugh with you as how awful you both are at cabinet shooters. So you can pull him into a tiny gift shop and pick out shot glasses like tourists. Pop into Tesco for a snack and cheap beer just to debate the whole way back if you should've grabbed something for the rest of the boys. "Our little adventure" Soap calls it fondly when he pulls you close with a smile, and you can't help laughing. He's got this untouchable joy about him, eager for happiness in a job that tears the soul out of you. Fun where he can get it, and you along for the ride.

having thoughts about dnp saying the reason they wanted to write tabinof in the first place was to commemorate the era and give fans something to look back on and remember when they're older & how they consistently talked about the tatinof/tabinof era like it was an ending (or at least the end of their "peak")
the idea that in 2015!! they were preparing for their audience and community and their popularity to go away eventually so they wanted to create a physical reminder that "once upon a time there were these two guys called dan and phil who met each other on the internet who created this entire world"
it's like they were assuming the world of dan and phil and this community would be another trend and that their audience would lose interest in over time, especially after they'd just hit this massive peak. except it wasn't and we didn't
thinking about how that was almost 10 years ago and we're still here
