it (finally) looks like winter but it's still pretty warm

Big Cat Cladotherian

I was questioning a lot of feline kintyps, and I finally found out what it is, I am a big cat cladotherian (clado therians do not identify as a distinct species, but instead feel a broader identity encompassing an entire genus or family). It suddenly all made sense, I most shift as an African lion (male). the others are:

Leopard (included black leopard)

Clouded leopard

Snow leopard

Cougar

Sibirian Tiger

Eurasian lynx, Canadian lynx

Caracal

Asian golden cat

Serval

Fact from their website: Only about 500 Siberian tigers remain in the wild. The primary threat to the world’s largest living cat is poaching for their fur. Poachers also kill tigers to supply the demand for parts such as claws and bones, which are used in traditional Chinese medicine for their supposed healing powers.The Sibirian tiger proves that not all cats hate water. It is a strong swimmer and likes to bathe in lakes, rivers and ponds in summer.

What did 404 & 040 do before they were ordered to keep watch on Weregeld?

I like to think that soldier 404 was a night watch/guard on lookout making sure there were no incidents and to raise the alarm if something would have happened. Despite often appearing to be asleep during his duty, the Sibirian tiger was surprisingly good at his job.

Soldier 040 was a chauffeur and driver, often driving jeeps but also trucks, the cougar took his job very seriously and also maintained the vehicles he drove.

The decision which two soldiers would be put on "Watch duty" around Weregeld was made trough a lottery/raffle and the winners of the "promotion" were 404 and 040, both were caught in surprise but of course obliged.
