Okay, Sav, my first instinct was of course to demand more motw just because I am already so fucking invested BUT then I thought I'd rather ask about "Shark Bite Meet-Cute" just because WTF are you coming up with here???? I need to know!

Hi Sandy!! xD That one was inspired by a rant that I thought I would go on if I ever got bit by a shark (highly unlikely) and survived, and then I figured Eddie would say something similar, then thought that it'd be very funny if paramedic!Steve was there trying to help Eddie while he ranted about how it wasn't the shark's fault for biting him.

Not sure if I'll ever finish this one, because I did that thing where I skipped ahead and wrote the scene I wanted to write and that's always the best way to get me to never finish a fic, so. Whoops.

Anyway, here's that rant xD

"It's not the shark's fault!" Eddie shouted as loud as he could manage at the crowd. "Sharks are still great! It's their ocean, we're the invaders!"

"Eddie, please calm down, oh my god," Chrissy said, following the stretcher and wringing her hands.

The unfairly hot paramedic nodded down at him. "You should try to keep your heart rate down, and please lie still."

He doubted his heart could be any kind of normal around this man, but Eddie lowered his voice anyway as they lifted him into the ambulance. "It's true, though, man. They can't help that they don't have hands."

The other paramedic couldn't hold back a snort and the hot one raised an unimpressed brow at her. "He's probably feeling loopy from the shock and adrenaline," he explained to Chrissy.

"No, nonono, you don't get it," Eddie blundered on, only slightly slurred, "they don't have hands, y'know, so they use their mouths to figure out what they're seeing. Like babies, or archeologists. Did you know archeologists lick rocks to tell if they're rocks or bone? It's because bone sticks, it's more porous. So, sharks. Can't help it if they've got some fuckin' sharp teeth. Probably thought I was a weird seal, took a bite and didn't like how my gamey, non-blubbery stick leg tasted."

Chrissy, who'd sat on the bench in the back, hid her face to try and stifle her laughter while he rambled. Hot Paramedic had the prettiest, most baffled smile on his face while he hooked Eddie up to some wires and monitors and the other one actually looked thoughtful while she checked the bandages on his leg.

"I didn't know that about archeologists," she said.

Hot Paramedic sighed. "Don't encourage him, Robin."

"Hey, if it keeps him conscious."

COFEE SHOP AU!!! 🗣️☕️

this one started over the summer when I got a very aggressive brainworm about Eddie running a shop called Corroded Coffee and then at the end of august when ao3 was down for a few days, I posted the first chunk of it here on tumblr and then immediately ruined goldie's life by making them wait 6 months for an update 😭 but I've been working on it! it's still on the list! the whole thing is about 10k right now and I DO want to finish it and get it posted for real at some point SOON I PROMISE

anyway, here's a little snippet :)

“You’re very smooth,” Steve says. “Everything you do is like –” He laughs, shaking his head. “Like something out of an old movie or something.” Eddie makes a face. “Smooth makes it sound like it’s an act.” “Is it not?” He shrugs. “My uncle raised me right.” “You were raised by your uncle?” Eddie hums, nodding a little. They come to a stop as they wait for the light to change, and he squeezes Steve’s hand.  “My parents didn’t really stick around.” He takes a breath, staring across the street. “Dad was in and out of prison, until he was just… in. And my mom was all over the place, but Wayne was always there.” He shoots a look over at Steve. “No Hungarian nannies for me.” Steve laughs a little. “I regret telling you that, by the way.” “Was she like – a live-in nanny?” Eddie asks as they start walking again. “Did she carry a big handbag and fly with her umbrella and sing songs about spoonfuls of sugar?” “No,” Steve says, laughing harder. “She was just a lady. She took care of me after school when I was a kid. My parents weren’t around a lot either.” “Oh, so ‘nanny’ is just rich people speak for ‘babysitter’,” Eddie says. “Got it.” “Basically,” Steve says. He tucks his chin into his scarf to hide his smile and lets their hands swing between them as they walk. After a moment, he looks over at Eddie again. “You never answered me, by the way. Do you live around here too?” “Yeah, just –” Eddie points in the direction they’re walking. “A little ways up, on the right.” “Oh,” Steve says. He raises his eyebrows. “Okay.” And Eddie laughs, giving him a teasing, sideways glance. “Okay.” They walk for another moment, Steve swaying closer into his side until Eddie slows them to a stop as they reach the steps up to a brownstone, old and rich-looking with lights glowing in the upper story. “So,” Steve says, tilting his head to the side. “I guess this is you?” Eddie lets go of his hand to settle it on his waist instead, pulling him closer. Steve lets himself be pulled, feeling his heart kick, his breath catching a little as he stares at Eddie, head angled back. They’re almost the same height, but Steve is just an inch or two shorter, and up close like this it feels like Eddie towers over him.  “I’m going to kiss you now,” Eddie says. “Is that okay?”

Ugh. It's so hard to approach it without kinkshaming, and everyone's entitled to their headcanons, but oh my god I wish that bandana in his pocket never existed and never gave birth to the whole flagging and incredibly experienced in bed sado top Eddie trope. Look at that boy. Look at that outcast metalhead D&D nerd who gets all giddy and flailing as a cute girl is talking to him, who calls his guitar sweetheart and kisses it gently hello, who practically wrote an epic love story fanfiction in his head about a boy he has a crush on and a badass girl who dove into another dimension after him. Just. Just. How. And why. I don't understand.

At first, Steve doesn’t hear the beeping noise, not with the blood rushing to his ears because of the kiss- not until it becomes too loud and insistent to ignore. “What- what is that?” Steve asks against Eddie’s lips, pulling back only a little.  “Huh?” Eddie asks, chasing after Steve’s lips with a dazed expression.  Steve’s eyes dart to the monitor behind Eddie’s head, realizing that’s the source of the sound. “Christ, Eddie that’s your heart-” Eddie shrugs. “Guess you really are that good, Harrington.”

Honestly, I promised myself I was gonna work on the Exchange Fic this weekend and I have... But only for a bit as I ping-pong between other smaller wips, including this silly Steddie Sportball idea!

“Oh come on!” Steve yells at the giant television, causing Eddie to jump in his seat. His boyfriend grumbles and settles back down again just as quickly, still fuming about… Whatever it is that just happened. Steve folds his arms, his muscles flexing. His polo pulling tight across his chest and –  “Hey, Stevie…” Eddie coos, not waiting for an answer before he begins slowly lowering to the floor. He shuffles around enough to pivot so that he is between Steve’s legs, face-to-face with those jeans. He’s sure to duck his head – dare he get between his beloved and his beloved team.

His journal. That’s what the humans call it. A journal. It had taken a while for Steve to figure out the right word for it. He’d had to be subtle about his hunt — showing any sort of interest in life on land outside of one’s duties was taboo at best. Steve’s always had an insatiable curiosity about it, though. Over the years, he’s learned where to look, who to ask. He’d had to dig deep for this one, to ask around corners of the ocean that weren’t meant for the likes of him. But he’d gotten his answer in the end.

Depends on where I am, but i would say a mix of each, like I like touristy kinda places but I hate crowds, but I also love exploring unknown places, especially those with good photo oppertunities off the beaten track 😉

Good question, it's not something I've delved too far into as an interest subject but I've read Lore Olympus and I love that graphic comic, it's a modern kind of take on The Taking of Persephone

i was tagged by the lovely @sidekick-hero (btw we should totally team up with our interests in crime investigation!) these questions are all so fun, so here we go!

1. Are you named after anyone? Nope, it’s just a name my mom liked a lot and apparently so did a lot of other parents during ‘96-97 because both during elementary school and high school I had to suffer the curse of having a classmate with the same name. (Alice, my nickname on here, however is named after none other than Alice Cullen from Twilight.)

2. When was the last time you cried? Oof, I can’t remember really. I don’t cry a lot anymore lately which is pretty nice to be honest. I did get teary-eyed reading fic today if that counts for something? 

3. Do you have kids? I don’t. I want to, at some point, but I can’t imagine having a kid right now (I just turned 26, the same age as my mom was when she had me and I had a full-on crisis because I can NOT handle a child right now) 

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Me? Sarcastic? What on earth makes you say that? (Yes, I do. A lot) 

5. What's the first thing you notice about people? The generic stuff I suppose, eyes, facial expression, clothes. That kind of thing. 

6. What's your eye color? Blue! 

7. Scary movies or happy endings? Happy endings all the way. I can’t handle scary movies for the life of me (thrillers are okay, but no horror please and thank you. I’ll get nightmares for weeks!) and I think we already have enough scary stories in real life, so I’ll always go for that happy ending. 

8. Any special talents? My brain is filled to the brim with useless facts about music and movies. It drives my friends and family a little insane but ah well.

9. Where were you born? In the hospital since I was turned upside down and there was a c-section involved.

10. What are your hobbies? I love to write (obviously) and do word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Reading too, although my concentration is lacking these days. 

11. Do you have any pets? I doooo! I have a little black & white poodle called Bruiser (yes, named after the dog from Legally Blonde) and he’s the light of my life.

12. Have you played/do you play any sports? I did ballet, street dance and ice-skating while growing up and then practiced aikido (Japanese martial arts) for about ten years. I can still break your elbow if I want to.

13. How tall are you? 1.69m which is a little under 5′7 I think? 

14. Favorite subject in school?  History for sure! As well as English and French because I had really nice teachers for those subjects. Ancient Greek had its moments too. Just languages and history shit and I’m there!

15. Dream job? Not entirely sure on that subject but nowadays I get to put my criminology degree to good use in an organization where there’s plenty of room to grow and I have the nicest colleagues, so something in that direction, I suppose. It’s gotta be something to do with crime prevention or investigation though, that shit’s my jam.
