I read an article from a Paris-area news outlet in which a man who’s got a few llamas says they're useful, they can carry stuff, etc, then boasts that on top of that “all of his llamas” are “trained” to clear brush. Sir what are you talking about? Llamas eat brambles and weeds with zest and zeal. They just do! No training necessary...? Did you follow them around smacking their noses with a rolled-up newspaper every time they ate a blade of grass instead of a thistle or are you just saying that because you know Parisians are easily impressed by animals doing normal animal things. Now I’m picturing an urban farmer in Paris explaining proudly to visitors that he managed to train all of his bees to produce honey and every sheep in his flock to mow the lawn

the evolution of the operator symbol over the course of the series is so endlessly fascinating to me, because like. Alex came up with the symbol and only ever really used it on his hypergraphia papers, which we don't really see him do much (if at all) after season one

but Brian,, Brian uses that symbol constantly. It's basically a signature by the end of the series - he leaves it on Tim's medical records, and on the back of Alex's photo of Amy, and on the note he left for Jay about Benedict Hall - he even uses it in his final video to unveil his name - it's self-referential, but he doesn't ever really seem to use it to denote The Operator the way Alex did?

Like, to me it really does seem like he basically appropriated it. "This is the symbol you created for the thing that was hunting you, but now I'm the thing that's hunting you" - like, hh fuck dude, Looking At You

you know what gets me the most about the code dropping the eggs’ signature items as a way of tormenting and taunting the members? is that it seems to be dropping them primarly to the eggs’ parents/family

like it dropped leo’s head(s) directly to foolish (twice to make sure there was no uncertainty), it dropped the first poppy/amapola directly to phil and waited for him to pick it up before throwing another one to bad, and i can’t check the vod but the stack of apples it dropped at ninho was when aypierre was there with everyone protecting the eggs (and ninho also has been crucial for pomme’s safety so i guess that counts for it too)

it’s giving these threats directly to the egg’s parents/family, instead of just a general taunt like the apple in the water. like ’hey, once the election is over (or whatever time to code starts attacking again), your child will die’

TW Nail injury/Gore? TW Needles

I've mentioned these stories somewhere around here before I think

The first less extreme one was when I cave myself a papercut w cardboard, almost perfectly underneath my nail on my pointer finger, that almost made me lose my lunch just due to the concept of it. Hurt like hell too ^^;

The second one I ran over my foot w a full pallet jack(honestly least bothersome part of the whole ordeal) but it crushed the nail on my big toe back and in? I didn't get my socks and shoes off fast enough so the blood in my sock made it cling to the area... They had to stick needles in for numbing but numbing doesn't really work on me so I felt that the whole time, then they removed the nail, stuck a needle Into The Nail Bed, THEN PUT THE NAIL. BACK IN. Awesome times lmao. Basically crushed the bones in my foot too, took long time to heal. Even longer for the nail to grow back. Miracle it grew back as well as it did, not really noticeable now.

No Bueno. Lmao I still have a visceral reaction to just thinking about nail gore now lol xD

we are having extremely comical and nigh catastrophic IT issues at work rn but my coworker and i have mastered tag team check printing. #girlssupportinggirls

#the short version is that her user profile is somehow broken since updating her password #so whenever she prints a check the CFO's signature isn't on it #and it's been like this for like 2 weeks and IT can't figure out how to fix it #and then i was previously printing to my other coworkers printer but some of my checks just weren't printing at all #and IT did not help me at all but after some troubleshooting it seemed to be my connection to that specific printer (women in STEM) #so i switched to printing to the other printer where i also print all my coworkers checks once she assigns the check numbers #and it's all working now but it is convoluted and stupid
