Pale Lights - Chapter 20 Trial Participants Lineup Fanart

So, a bit more info has been added. And a lot of art updates.

 Minor art updates:

Ishaan with a slightly tweaked wardrobe.

Zenzele got an update for his facial expression to better reflect his current state of mind.

Sarai got her scratches healed. It’s been some five days since that happened, they will probably be gone now.

Aines black eye is better for the same reason as Sarai’s healed scratches.

Ferranda again has is slightly less red-eyed.

Wardrobe updates for:

Tristan who got a bit better for the black eye. And “new” clothes after most his old wardrobe either went to bandages, exploding guns or botched magic spells. Now, I’ll be honest, normally I only connect kirtles to female inner layer dresses (which definitively is how the word seem to be used for the periods this setting is inspired by). But it does seem it in earlier medieval periods it also was used about tunics. So, Tristan either have found a very old and forgotten tunic in the storage room. Some very outdated fashion. Or… He’s absolutely wearing a long tunic that *most certainly* isn’t a short dress. Alternately, this is all on Angharad having a way too formal and old-fashioned vocabulary.

Angharad got a “new” shirt and a vest. Meaning sadly she’s less scandalous now. Not sure if she’s gotten a new coat, so until other notice I just cleaned up the old rather tortured coat (that’s still waiting to be repaired by Beatris). I also changed up Amgharad’s hair. I’m not doubting Song’s skills making pretty braids for her sisters, but I do doubt she knows how to properly make cornrows. I like the new style, but it does make it more likely for Angharad to get hair in her face while fighting.

Tupoc got an all-new wardrobe. First participant to canonically wear an actual chest plate.

Adaillé Nassow & Absolon Mortenszen

compilation of my notes on Adaillé Nassow, Duchess d'Avosche and of playwright Absolon Mortenszen.

Adaillé Nassow (1524–1608) was duchess of Avosche, a duchy in southern Willemy, for much of the sixteenth century and the start of the seventeenth.

Adaillé was born to Roger d'Avosche and his wife Caroline in 1524, the third of eight children. Her two elder brothers died in infancy (at least one in the Second Great Dying), as well as her younger brother Peter, and her youngest sister Anne. She was raised in early childhood by her nurse Elisa Arnoutszen, cousin (and, later, coauthor) of the renowned physician Laurz Arnoutszen. During this time Adaillé was noted for her inquisitive and intelligent nature.

She was infamous during her later life for her great influence in the court of David of France. Rumours that she was his mother circulated from before his accession until his death.

In 1589 her grandson and heir apparent Déricque caused a scandal by running away from court and very publicly announcing his intentions to flee to New Provence in the Novomund (which he subsequently did).

Absolon Mortenszen (fl. 1560) was a playwright and commentator in the Dane Concert of the sixteenth century. In the year 1560 he was living in Alburg, Denmark.

His grandfather is thought to have lost his wife and at least two brothers in the Second Great Dying.

He married a woman named Clara at some point before 1560; they did not have any children. He had a brother who married a woman named Beatrys.

Shortly before 1560 he wrote a play titled 'High Society', which was received so well that the royal family altered the route of their Grand Tour in order to visit Alburg and see a performance.
