Things about wolfstar daughter I’ve imagined in my head but haven’t had the chance to post about. Part one.

Having her own potion shop and selling all her potions at an extremely low price because she doesn’t want anyone to suffer because they can’t afford it. (And because she knows she doesn’t need the money. She charges enough to pay her employees a livable wage.)

Doing things to try and destigmatize werewolves! Like having a corner in her shop dedicated to warewolf education, and selling free homemade baked goods with wolfsbane.

Baking for her dad after full moons.

Seeing Cedric as a big brother of sorts. (Most of the time she’s a hufflepuff in my head) and taking over as quidditch caption after he graduates. (YES, GRADUATES.)

Her being autistic and having special accommodations at hogwarts. Her not understanding people’s tone unless it’s really obvious. Her not knowing when something is a rhetorical question or not.

Her befriending LOTS of slytherins and ravenclaws. (OC’s in my head and stuff)

Her and Draco having a complicated relationship because that’s her cousin and she doesn’t believe that he’s all bad, but still having set him straight when he steps out of line. (Saying slurs, bullying innocent students and her friends ) their relationship alone probably needs it’s own post.

In the event that Regulus lives, her being the one to kind of get him out of his shell a little bit and also him having step away from the sarcasm a little when he’s with her because she doesn’t understand his tone a lot.

In the event that he doesn’t, sitting Sirius on his birthday. Even though he pretends it doesn’t bother him she knows it comes with a lot of complicated feelings for him. So she and Remus kind of just sit with him for a while. Maybe gather on the couch and watch old and cringey movies to get a laugh out of him.

Her having older sisters that she doesn’t remember and reuniting with them at hogwarts.

Her being bisexual, but not even coming out because everyone in her family is some form of queer and she just assumed they would know naturally.

Snape/Mulciber?

thank you very much for the ask, anon!

and i mean, snulciber is basically canon, isn't it - i'm sure we're all sufficient degenerates that we've deeped the bisexual potential of that interview where jkr's like "snape wanted lily and he wanted mulciber too"...

one thing i'm really taken with in pairings between snape and his slytherin schoolmates is the really interesting things you can do with the reversal of the implied power dynamic during their schooldays as snape is gradually accepted into voldemort's inner circle.

because it's clear in the prince's tale that snape is both somewhat deferential to mulciber and somewhat dismissive of him - he defends mulciber's use of dark magic against mary mcdonald, but he doesn't do so particularly vehemently, and he doesn't appear to care at all that lily's called his friend "creepy" because he's too busy seething about james and sirius. it's also clear that mulciber [and avery etc.] didn't care enough about snape to intervene against the marauders' bullying, and that snape was - throughout his schooldays - an easy target for the gryffindor four because he was usually alone, peripheral to the rest of slytherin.

and we can also see that one of the reasons snape became a target for bullying was because he was so demonstrably working-class, in contrast to the suspiciously well-heeled majority of the student body - so much so that i have a meta lurking in my drafts about whether hogwarts is a selective school. mulciber can be reasonably written as being yet another of the posh, well-off boys who snape is both incandescently jealous of and tremendously unimpressed with - and his attitude towards snape can be written as the same sort of faintly amused condescension we can sense from characters such as slughorn. which, of course, enrages snape because he considers himself - not without reason - superior intellectually to them, and wants to be awarded the status he considers himself to deserve on the basis of his magical power, rather than his name or background.

and then snape becomes a death eater.

my preferred view is that snape is very much voldemort's "exception" in terms of class [in the same way that bellatrix is his exception in terms of gender] and that he is the only death eater in the first war [since i also don't think wormtail receives the dark mark until he rescues voldemort from albania prior to goblet of fire] who isn't from an upper-class background. my preferred view is also that voldemort's recognition of himself in snape is the reason he makes this exception - and that he loves fucking with the pride of the posher death eaters by favouring a half-blood with a regional accent over them.

and - as i've said for the concept of snape/regulus - i really like the drama this can introduce into snape's relationship with mulciber, who spends his schooldays feeling superior to snape [and probably treating him quite poorly as a result] but is then confronted by the revelation that the dark lord... much prefers the man he essentially thinks of as a fucktoy to him, and that his father [who it makes sense to assume is also a death eater] wants him to suck up to the big boss' new favourite so they can profit from it.

and snape is a suitably horrible person that he would one hundred percent love the opportunity to lord it over mulciber as mulciber once lorded it over him.

sirius black headcanons

he's not my FAVORITE character but my mind's been brewing hcs for him lately so here goes nothing :)

he's bisexual (with a HEAVY preference for women)

his handwriting is actually really fancy cursive with swirls and loops and all (but back in school it looked like doctor handwriting)

it was a tie between Gryffindor and Slytherin during the Sorting Ceremony, but he begged so bad not to be in Slytherin the Hat decided he was better off in Gryffindor.

which he never told anyone, of course, because his biggest fear has always been that he's going to end up like his family

Walburgha only got physically abusive in the later years- before it was just emotional/psychological abuse. (because let's be real, he was the eldest son, she woulda coddled him like hell but still been a shitty parent)

speaking of which, he's a lot like walburgha in terms of temper, passion, determination, and arrogance. (regulus, on the other hand, took after Orion)

he LOVED james more than anyone in the world (which lead to some pretty unhealthy emotional co-dependence) but didn't really realize how far that love went until james was dead

but he was really fucking devastated and disappointed when he found out regulus was joining the death eaters

he's always been pretty handsome because it was conditioned into him since birth that blacks must be the PERFECT image of blood purity and nobility so even after 12 years in Azkaban he's naturally good-looking (genes??)

he never kinda realized how offensive/bad things he said/did were until he had the marauders (mainly james, since peter worshipped them and remus never really stood up to anyone) to tell him so

after james passed, harry became his most important person for the next 15 years of his life

1. Hermione Granger/Remus Lupin

I know what you’re thinking, didn’t Remus make this mistake with Tonks already? And what about Sirius?? (I HC Wolfstar for sure) BUT If Remus were attracted to women, I think that this age gap ship makes more sense than Remadora. I think it has a lovely, erudite feel to it. Hermione needs someone who will challenge her, and Remus needs someone to ground him when he gets insecure (as we know he does.)

2. Draco Malfoy/Neville Longbottom

This is such a NICHE ship that embodies one of my favourite dynamics--the Slytherin/Hufflepuff relationship. I know Neville is not a Hufflepuff, but he has a lot of those personality traits. He’s soft, thoughtful, and quietly assertive. He’s a good-natured teddy bear who won’t necessarily let you walk all over him but is honest and forgiving in the purest way. Enter post-War Draco, made surly and self-deprecating by his downfall. He’s jagged around the edges, unwilling to accept love willingly. He just needs someone to coax him out of his prickly shell.

3. Pansy Parkinson/Percy Weasley

A HOT combination. I almost don’t know how to describe these two. Neither get a lot of love in canon because they’re both intense people in unpleasant ways, but when they’re older and a bit wiser, these traits make them the ultimate power couple. Pansy likes to get under Percy’s skin, and Percy loves playing mind games. These two are also the ones I most picture having a forbidden romance (yes, there’s a rec for that!) Also, Percy is totally a Slytherin in lion’s clothing. That was an incorrect house placement for sure.

4. Pansy Parkinson/Luna Lovegood

This ship took me by surprise during the Rare Pair Fest last year, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. I see Pansy as someone who is boxed in by expectations, repressed pain, and fear. Luna is the opposite. She’s free-spirited, otherworldly, and she feels everything with her whole soul open to it. It’s a beautiful pairing with lots of healing potential.

5. Draco Malfoy/Ronald Weasley

Don’t slam the breaks just yet, and hear me out. These two are so dynamic that this ship could go ANY WAY YOU WANT. Throw Harry in there, and you have some peak tension and jealousy and love triangle perfection. Maybe a humbled Draco finding that Ron is actually quite lovely? Or, Draco composing an entire song titled Weasley is our King (the Drarry obsession potential could indeed to extended to include Ron)? Or, forced proximity homoerotic hate fest? OMG, I am all in. Bisexual Ron is one of my new favourite HC’s, so I’m adding as a sub-pairing that Draco/Ron/Hermione is surprisingly delicious. I read this one brilliant fic and then sobbed because I want MOAR of them and it doesn’t exist.
