IT'S DONE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBY!!!

If you've been following me the last month, you've seen me posting invitations to join Kirby Birthday Collab. Well, as today is 27th, I'm proud to present the result of this collab!!

This collab ended up even bigger than the last year's one. When last year we mainly had only Dream Friends (with some special guests like Morpho, Galacta and Elfilin), this year we've got characters from many more groups, including villains! We've almost left no one behind lol

The image above might be a bit scuffed (anti-AI protection, and all that), but no worries! You can click on it to see full, uncompressed image and see everyone's work that's been put into this!

ALRIGHT I'LL POST MY ANALYSIS OF THE MTL JERK-OFF SCENE HERE TOO.

for reference, this is a character analysis based solely off the scene in "Writersklok" where Nathan explains their "process" to Abigail. yes, i'm serious.

nathan:

sleeping on the floor with piles of booze and drugs, not surprising there. though out of everyone who’s still asleep, he’s the only one who’s at the very least stirring, and he’s checking the time. he’s aware he has to be at least somewhat responsible for the band getting up and working, but he doesn’t want to.

then for breakfast, he’s just staring angrily at his plate of meat and eggs and potatoes. kind of unenthused, like this is the meal he used to eat in his football days just to bulk up—there’s no joy in it, it’s just routine.

the most emotion we see from him in this scene is when he’s jacking off, he looks both intense and and also like he’s VERY pent up. which i think is reminiscent of how he’s the one who craves a romantic connection the most. even though he does have casual sex, it doesn’t seem to be fulfilling him.

pickles:

passed out in his bathroom, clearly hungover and had a rough bender the night before. there’s something very lonely about it—despite them all being addicts who love to party and binge drink, pickles is still the one who does it to the most excess, and that’s so common that it’s normal for no one else to be around afterwards. they know he’ll be “fine.”

and he is, he gets his cinnamon buns, indulging in something that we know makes him very happy. his face there looks a bit happy but also a bit unsure. i mean based off the framing of this shot, it’s implied they’re all having breakfast alone. which might not be true, they all do seem like they could be together in the same room since they’re each in different areas, but that could also just speak to the familiarity they have with each other. even when they’re alone, that’s their spot.

but back to pickles, casual smirk while jacking off. not much to say except—this one’s for you pickle fuckers.

murderface:

he’s also been drinking. the way he’s positioned too, his arms crossed like they usually are reflects his typical disdain and anger that he carries through life. he can’t find a moment of peace, even when sleeping.

he’s clearly not getting enough sleep, though, likely still troubled by something, whether it’s anxiety/insecurity or nightmares about his father, and so all he has for breakfast is coffee.

again, he seems most at peace while jacking off, and he’s also really focused. we know he’s not getting as much action as the rest of the band, but he’s at least found a way to deal with it so he doesn’t get too frustrated.

toki:

funnily enough, he has the easiest time sleeping. i think that’s crazy given his TRAUMA, but he clearly has a routine he sticks to. he’s got his sleep mask on, he’s sleeping in his clothes on top of his bed like a heathen—whatever it is, he knows how to get comfortable, and honestly? probably just having a bed AT ALL is better than his childhood, so that’s all he needs.

then he has just a very simple cereal for breakfast—even though he could have anything he wants, and even though he DOES indulge at times, he prefers the simple things in many cases.

and he jacks off like a maniac: not only is he using that intense focused face he makes while coloring and texting (clearly coloring, sex, and social interaction all fire off the same synapses in his brain) but he’s also. not in his room. @supersaturnnyoomkitty and i have talked about this before and we don’t know where the hell he is in this shot. but he’s not comfortable jacking off in his room, probably because of all the creepy pictures of his parents staring at him.

my babygirl…sleeping with a bunch of groupies who he’d just spent the night with. i always think it’s interesting that he lets his groupies stay the night, i think he longs for the closeness/intimacy of sharing a bed with someone after sex, but he’d never admit it.

at breakfast, he just looks bored. he had a beer and nathan’s coffee mug and waffles, but all he’s interested in is his guitar. that’s all he’s ever truly interested in, regardless of who else may or may not be around.

and then he’s naked when he’s jacking off. because of COURSE he is. besides guitar, sex is the only thing he’s good at, he takes it very seriously, very intensely. besides guitar, it’s probably the only worth he thinks he has.

and then none of them really feel like recording. not because they’re dispassionate about music, obviously they’re not. they all care deeply about music and dethklok, even if they’re just terribly lazy. because they have gotten so used to the rockstar lifestyle that it’s easy for them to fall back on base pleasures, even when they’re all clearly suffering from loneliness or trauma, and they can just WORK ON THAT if they made music together, if they worked together as a BAND a FAMILY. but they don’t always want to, because it’s gay to care.

i spent way too much time looking at this scene to write this, i deserve recompense.

I'm in a rough spot. I want to start a kin blog and document my thoughts, memories and experiences, because over the past two years this has become a daily part of my lived experience and I've begun to realize how important it is to me. On the other hand, I am a canonical rapist who brought about the end of the world, and I don't want the KFF/kinnie crowd who thinks you can pick your kintype to harass me. Nor do I want to make survivors uncomfortable via my presence. Do you have advice?

I could go on a whole ramblerant here, but tl;dr: You deserve your place in the community. People who would be made uncomfortable by you can block you, easy as that, especially if you tag your posts with "[fictotype] kin" or whatever for blacklisting purposes. You are not at fault for your fictotype's actions and you shouldn't be made to isolate yourself from a community that should be supporting you.

Unfortunately, there's no real solution to the potential of harassment other than Use The Block Button Liberally and try not to let them get under your skin. If you get harassment (in any form), don't respond to it - just block, delete asks or replies, and move on. If they can't understand that they should be blocking you themselves to curate their own online experience, that's on them, not on you.

I would also recommend @goratrix-betrayed's Othercon panel, Living with a Problematic Fictional Identity (And Where to Go from Here) - I suspect it might be a good listen for you. an interesting combination 👀 i actually thought of it before, and i don't think there's much nikolai can do to actually hurt chuuya?? considering he can make bullets and knives etc not hurt him.

tho, ig if nikolai manages to catch him very off guard, and brings smth like poison with him, and can be sneaky about his ability (iirc it's a bit inconsistent on whether it makes a sound when used or not? if not, then yeah he should be fine i think). so it's less of a fight and more like "if nikolai had to take chuuya out how would he do that"

fukuchi:

tbh if anyone can resist the time travelling sword, it's nikolai. he just has to act very fast. make his hand appear and immediately shoot fukuchi in the head while the rest of him is hidden somewhere. maybe even just send the barrel of the gun alone tbh. so yeah he technically COULD beat him he has to be very fast and accurate and fukuchi might be able to use this quick moment to cut his hand/the gun/the bullet it shoots. i imagine that fukuchi's reflexes are probably faster than nikolai's too so ngl the odds aren't looking too great. BUT at least he can run away and hide very easily 👍

tanizaki:

oh now THIS is spicy. tanizaki has the best chance at getting close to him more than anyone else! and if he's got a gun he could easily take him out too. however, it seems tanizaki is more of a melee guy from what we've seen so far, in which case he either has to slit his throat super quick or smth, or nikolai could use the opportunity to overpower him (metaphorically. idk how strong he actually is. i mean like, with a weapon or smth)

if no abilities are allowed then i don't think he stands much of a chance tbh 😭 it seems he's more of a clever strategizer than a physically strong fighter tbh? like we see him use weapons and even weird constructions and methods to kill or otherwise hurt his victims. so yeah he can use those but if he doesn't get the upper hand through the usage of his ability, most of these (except maybe tanizaki, and idk if kenji can even turn his ability off if its conditions are met??) can beat him in hand to hand combat through speed or power 😔

i actually made a comic wow oh my godd no one actually cares about my au but its okay, im harassing (whoever’s eyes land on this post) with it uhh... here! have the siblings!! Venom: You see... The missing people in these reports are all residents of a small town in eastern Illyria. 

Venom: You should be well aware that a thick forest lies north of it... 

Millia: Wait..! You don't mean... 

Venom: It seems that these cases may be connected after all. ---AU details--- So basically it's just Guilty Gear Judgment but im writing it in my own image. The story is separated into an "A plot" and a "B plot" much like Xrd. The "A plot" is focused on Ky, Sol, and the Jellyfish Pirates. While the "B plot" is focused on Venom and Millia. Raymond (that shiddy little bastard) still bases his experiments in Isene but he eventually gets cocky and kidnaps some assassins (fucking idiot) and now Venom's on his tail trying to track him down. Millia visits Venom in his lil hideout cabin to properly reconcile as siblings but uhh... Venom is busy trying to solve a case at the moment. So she kinda just tags along while also trying to talk things out with him. Millia thinks the reason for the disappearance of those missing assassins is because they left of their own volition. (Much like herself.) In this comic, Venom tries prove to her wrong. ALSO... Raymond has a missing persons poster because he false filed himself to get Ky's attention LOL
