Green comes back to consciousness with blurry vision and a throbbing headache.

Which is… gosh, not the first time this has happened. He probably should get therapy, except every therapist runs screaming from him and the ones that don’t either try to get him locked up in a mental institution or blame him for getting their office destroyed in the latest Garmalarm.

Voices echo around him, grating like TV static on his aching head. He squints his eyes, trying to make sense of his surroundings.

His hood is still on. That’s good. There’s blood on it. That’s bad.

How are you supposed to check for concussions again? Counting, right? One, two, three, five, six—

Uh oh.

The voices slowly become clearer, and Green strains to hear them. It’s weird— they sound far away yet right next to him, far below him but echoing up to him somehow.

Oh. He’s dangling in the air by some kind of chain. Okay. This is a thing that’s happening.

“General #17, you better have that report on Shogun’s whereabouts in 5 minutes or you’re fired!”

…oh no. He only knows one person who would say something like that.

That means he’s at—

/ A missile colliding with his mech, the capture device closing around him as an evil laugh pierces the last of his fading vision. /

The volcano.

With his dad.

Oh duck, this is bad.

“Well, how else was I supposed to lure Shogun here? Kidnapping the Green Ninja was the only way I was going to get him here.”

Great, and now he’s bait too? Thanks, dad. Appreciate it.

His vision starts going black again and he panics, trying to get a good look at his surroundings before he passes out again.

But it’s not use— the dark spots in his eyes grow larger and larger before ultimately knocking him out again.

The last things he sees is a pool of lava below him and his father looking up at him with a wicked evil grin.

Now heres an AU idea im surprised i havent seen anyone play around with before. AU where Aspheera botches her banishment spell and instead of the Never Realm, Zane ends up in the movie!verse. Think SPBNR but with Zane instead of Kai and also Forbidden Scroll drama

Tell me a secret about your Shark Pups AU. It's one of my favorites because it's so cute.

Well— the Shark Pups (also known as Monty & the Sharkpack) AU is a collaboration AU over on the SPBNR server (we make… so many AUs and snippets for those AUs, I need to post more), and fun fact— we like to merge those AUs together!

So there’s AUs like the Mer AU (where the m!Verse have humans, mers, and merfolk, with mers following a Luca-like logic for their upper half and an H20 (old mermaid show) rule logic for their lower half where if water gets on their legs, poof Tail!) where it’s mixed with the sharkpack AU— meaning the s!ninja turn into sharkpups anytime they get even the tiniest bit of water dropped on them, and stay that way until they dry off.

There’s also a variety of other AUs where other people get turned into sharkpups instead of the s!ninja (usually in AUs where just Smith/Kai or Smith & Monty/Lloyd get thrown into the m!verse)— sometimes Red (m!Kai), sometimes the whole Ninjaforce, sometimes Calypso (Mr.E!show Echo), sometimes Aki (s!Bizarro Kai), one time it was Red and Kaigami (m!Bizarro Kai)— just a whole lot of sharkpups!

It’s all inspired by the absolutely adorable Tumblr, @vress-shark

So I was just thinking about spbnr and the aus where Smith has one of the other ninja come with him to the other world and I had an idea about how the ‘reveal’ would go differently:

So they all manage to escape Garmadon’s volcano and the ninja swim back onto shore, tired but happy they managed to pull off such a major mission. Then they notice Smith isn’t on shore. The ninja that came with Smith stands there numb as Nya pulls Smith out of the water. Smith, who isn’t moving or breathing. Smith… Kai…

Julien/Gordon/Brook can’t stop themselves as they let out a resounding cry of “Kai!” As they rush to his side, ignoring the others and pretty much everything else except for (show) Kai.

When he comes to, everyone is obviously relieved, but now they actually have to deal with the aftermath of the other show ninja calling Smith “Kai”.

(Sorry for the drabble, I just got ideasss)

No need to apologize at all, my brain attached to this in an instant.

Just. The jovial start of it. The celebration and joy at their daring escape, how they'd once again beat Garmadon and this time on his own turf!

But then they notice Smith's dissaperance. And when Nya finally surfaces, Smith is cold.

They hadn't known. They hadn't known. Smith had never told them he was afraid of water, had never told any of them that he couldn't swim.

And now they were paying the price for it.

And the cost was their brother's life.
