These flags aren't in my usual combo flag style. I was more artistic (?) with these. I altered, mixed, combined, rearranged, and simplified colors/stripes to create these, and I didn't focus too much on making them exactly like the original flags.

Does this style work? I'm not sure.

EVERIQUE (Updated Flag + Carrd)

Everique is a term to describe when one views their entire identity as queer, and thus views all of their attractions as such. It can be used as a modifier alongside other labels or as a term on its own. There could be a multitude of explanations for this, some of which are (but are not limited to):

Being trans and having a complicated relationship/history with your sexuality because of that.

Being multigender and/or genderfluid and therefore experiencing queer attraction regardless of who you're attracted to.

Being non-binary and not fitting binary definitions of queer vs. not queer.

Being m-spec and feeling as though all of your attractions are queer because you are m-spec.

Being a system/collective where the line between individual identities is blurred.

Being angled a-spec and experiencing "straight" attraction through a queer lens due to being a-spec.

Simply being queer and resonating with the term's meaning.

Many, many more.

This term is meant to encompass everyone in the community. If you feel this applies to you, use it. There are no limits to this term. This term is inclusive of m-spec lesbians and gays, lesboys and turigirls, romeogirls/darcygirls and julietboys/bennetboys, multigender and genderfluid individuals, gaybians/velaurians, loveless individuals, non-traumagenic systems, etc.

The new flag is very reminiscent of the original, but with a few alterations and added meaning to the design.

The descending rainbow for each of the bigger stripes are supposed to resemble the whole of the queer community and how everyone is included under the label Everique.

The white is supposed to resemble the 'everyone inbetween'. The identities that are often left out of discussions and pride, the identities that are often forgotten, dismissed or attacked even by members of their own community.

The purple in the middle is to resemble unity and togetherness for all queer people, meant to be a nod to the chevron queer flag.

Everique has a new symbol, that being a rose. It symbolizes love, happiness, positivity and (again) unity. Each petal of a rose is still connected to the same bud of the flower, much like how all queer identities are still connected under the shared experience of being queer, regardless of their differences from each other.

Here are some transparent images of the term's symbol, but any rose can be used to symbolize Everique.

The love this term has gotten has meant the world to us, but it was our first term ever. The original flag, while cute and charming, was made with very little flag-making knowledge. None of the colors held significant meaning.

You are still more than welcome to use the original flag if you feel it fits you best, but this is the one that has resonated with us the most and we feel encompasses what Everique is.

the term comes from 'subtle' and 'identity', since these terms all describe identities that have subtleties that not everyone will understand.

as a community we adopted the word 'contradictory' for our identities, which (to my knowledge) was first used for us by exclusionists, but not all of us feel that our identities oppose one another. for example, i'm attracted to men and various nonbinary genders as a genderqueer man, and i choose to acknowledge both my veldian identity and my mspec identity - i don't feel my identity is contradictory, it's just specific and subtle!

(quick addition: this term is still 100% inclusive of those who do feel their identities contradict, it's just meant to be a more general term that doesn't alienate those who don't!)

i didn't make a flag because i honestly don't know how to encapsulate all subtlidens in one flag; i think someone else made a contradictory labels flag that one could use, but i can't find it at the moment

I wanted to make a veldian flag (or whatever term you want to use for it, I like veldian because it sounds good) to match my lesbian flag.

I am not a veldian so I made this in consultation with people who were. I don't wanna replace the current one, because I really like it, but I needed a matching one to my lesbian flag for a request. It does not have a name, but if any veldians like it, please submit any name ideas in the comments and I'll make a poll about what to name it.

Anyway. Stripe meanings, fully explained

1. Femininity and those tied to it: This was going to be the gnc stripe but I decided green fit that one better, and this better fit femininity. Feminine men are a very large part of the gay community, though this stripe represents more than just them! It also represents those who are trans and still feel connected to their AGAB, or those who are turigirls. It can also represent how men who like men are inherently perceived as feminine even if they aren't in any other way.

2. Queer love of men: No matter your gender, pretty much all veldians have a queer love of men. This stripe represents that love

3. Masculinity: Not all gay men are effeminate. Some of them are masculine, and masculinity in the gay community presents in many ways. Of course, masculinity doesn't only refer to presentation. It can also refer to gender alignment or connection.

4. Unity: Despite how wide and diverse the community is, and how many names it has, all of them are united as one large community and that's beautiful

5. Gay history and diversity: There is a rich history to gay men and the community of them, which deserves a place represented on the flag. The gay communities of the past and present are large and diverse, and have such a broad spectrum of people. All the ways you can be a veldian deserve to be represented because there are so many

6. Gender nonconformity: A large part of the gay community involves gender nonconformity. Even masculine veldians don't all conform to the idea of masculinity most straight people have (the image of a strong, muscle-y man.) And it's not just nonconformity for men; this stripe also represents the nonbinary gays who are feminine or masculine rather than androgynous.

7. Nonbinary gays and nblm/mlnb love: Nonbinary or elsegender people have grown to be a part of the veldian community, both in who can be veldian and who a veldian can love. While men who love men are at the center of this community, it's important to also remember the love between men and nonbinary folk.

This flag was made by an inclusionist. It stands in support of mspec veldians, gaybians/velaurians, turigirls, and others with contradictory labels. It also, of course, supports aro/ace/aroace veldians, trans veldians, and veldians of color. Anyone who identifies as a veldian, or with another name for the same label, may use this flag.

I don't know if there's a straight equivalent to cenelian (not sure if cenelian is stellian/diamoric)

This one might be a little complicated for me, anon! I've never done more than five flags in a combo and I can only do more if the flag has a specific symbol, like the demi- black triangle or the pi symbol on polyamorous. I could probably do it if you took two of the flags off of your request! /notmad

I think it's finally time for me to make a pinned post, so here goes nothing!

Hi! I'm Ramone/Eden, and I make pride flags sometimes! A few things about me:

I'm 24 years old (est. Nov 1999, in case I forget to update this)

I'm a gender hoarder! The most basic/broad labels I use to describe my gender are: transgender/transfemasc, genderqueer, genderfluid, pangender, autigender, and xenogender. I have a massive hoard of specific xeno- and neogenders, feel free to send me a 🛸 (UFO emoji) and I'll pick one out and tell you about it!

I also hoard pronouns! I technically use any and all pronouns, but the ones I like the most are they/them/their, fae/faer/faers, au/aur/aurs, and zip/zip/zips! Feel free to mix it up, though! (he/she/it are also fine, if you struggle with neos!)

I'm bi and on both the asexual and aromantic spectrums! I also identify as velaurian (both turian/MLM and lesbian/WLW) and polyamorous. I currently have one partner and love him dearly 💞💕💕

I am autistic and cognitively disabled to some degree. I also have ADHD, anxiety, and some other stuff that makes things a bit difficult for me. Sometimes I have trouble articulating what I'm thinking or feeling, so if something doesn't make sense, please ask me to clarify! I also age regress (around 3-7), but that's not what this blog is for, so I likely won't talk about it much here.

I am radinclus/critinclus and support most (if not all) good faith identities and labels, including (but not limited to): m-spec lesbians/gays, straight lesbians/gays, lesboys/turigirls, gaybians/lesbigays (considering I am one), cis/non-trans nonbinary, cistrans, AGAB non-conforming, and all pronoun non-conforming folks. I am not very well educated on "tr4nsx/tr4nsid," so I prefer to avoid such content because it honestly twists my brain a little. (4 = a)

I am supportive of people with all sorts of disabilities, disorders, mental illnesses and other sundry brain differences, including p4r4phili4s. I am not supportive of the 4buse of children, animals, or any other being that cannot give complete consent. EDIT: That statement was worded a bit strangely, so to clarify, I am not supportive of the 4buse of anyone ever! (4 = a)

I refuse to participate in shipcourse on either side. This doesn't mean I'm "neutral" either. I have chosen to remove myself from it completely because I know I could never be well-educated enough to take either side. I also refuse to participate in syscourse because 1) I am a singlet (not a system), and 2) again, I could never be well-educated enough to take a side. I interact with folks of both pro- and anti-endo stances.

straightlaurian: being straight and velaurian (gay man + lesbian)

lahurian: being straight, gay, and lesbian (and potentially also gai and/or strayt)
