Second, Gen au, I've been daydreaming about making a chose your own adventure fic for but lazy.

The word child is in '' because I mean 'child of' not necessarily that their a minor. Also, oc x cc for 3/4 of the parents.

Mc - Selasi's 'child' roughly 19-24 - the fool(?)/maybe a different major arcana

- Strong with magic (but doesn't use magic unless has to)

Aurora - The star - 20 (Asra/Kyle's 'child')

- Can sense magic (almost see in a sense but using her own magic can cause a positive feedback loop which isn't fun)

- loves painting and colors (is scared of strong wind and heavy rain)

Solar - The Devil - 20 (Asra/Kyle's 'child')

- tries to be the best at what he enjoys (to the point if he feels like he should be able to do something he won't stop until he can do it. Great when it comes to reading not so much when it comes to picking locks.)

- super defensive about his twin and will protect her. (To the point of using magic to quickly deal with fights that didn't have to be fights.)

- may or may not get along great with the local street kids.

Piper - The Magician - 21 (Julian/Hunter's 'child')

- raised by Julian and someone who's a theater kid at heart. She can and will be dramatic for fun. (Tends to put others' needs above her own)

- high energy and able to keep up with a lot of stuff. (Keeps up to date with Portia on local gossip and the hottest new plays around the community theater)

- When not bugging Julian, Hunter, Nadia, or Portia, she's either running around looking for trouble or around the blacksmith. (She enjoys making accessories and items from the junk and scrap metal with permission and some help.)

Unnamed girl - The high priestess - 24 (Nadia/Portia'a 'child')

- very much knows what she wants and is trying to get it. (More perfectionist in the sense she likes things the way she likes them.)

- mainly interested in learning both secrets and basic knowledge. (Doesn't keep many freinds aside from a close few.)

- sharp minded and witty being able to keep up with Piper in any dramatic exchange. (Trades secrets with people, a secret for a secret. Knowledge for knowledge.)

Unnamed boy - The Hermit - 20 - (Portia/Nadia's 'child')

- prefer to be kept out of the spotlight but even in the spotlight is great at being as unnoticeable as possible. (Suprisingly really smart in a general sense but manly keeps it to himself)

- takes active internet in his mum's tinkering and even picked up the hobby himself. (Likes making the internal gears and mechanics more than actually designing the outside. Leading to a lot of boring looking items with interesting mechanisms.)

- despite not speaking a lot and occasionally stuttering, he typically says interesting or important things. (Although his voice is soft.)

Fern - The Hangedman - 19 - (Muriel/Bluebell's 'child')

- similar to his parents prefers to just stay in the forest away from people. (Although he does sometimes hang out with kids around the outskirts of the forest.)

- enjoys where he lives and how things are and doesn't really want it to change. (Pretty stuck in his train of thought and finds other ways people think confusing at best and straight up wrong st worst.)

- given the chance would keep things exactly how they are forever, no growing up, no changes. (Despite knowing things are always going to change for the worse or better he doesnt know yet.)

The full plot is WIP, and while I tried to shift the major arcana between kids, I gave up with Portia and Nadia's. Feel free to suggest names for the unnamed characters or just suggest ideas.

I’m Mallory (people call me Mal a lot) I’m a goofy ahh autistic 21 year old

I’m not in college but I’ve been working for nearly a year now! It takes up half of my time but I’m still free decently often.

Time for another rambling post about my OCs, I'll be focusing on names and name origins this time.

Let's start with Trace, since his full name (Trace Reshira Emerald) has three separate name origins, and also his name is probably the one I've put the most thought into.

Trace is a gardevoir, so I decided that his first name would just be the ability he has (it helps that Trace is also an actual name in real life, while Synchronize and Telepathy aren't, though I probably could've shortened them to Synchro or Telly).

Trace's last name (Emerald) actually comes from a scrapped idea for a Fire Emblem romhack I had (which I scrapped once I realized that I'm not that interested in Fire Emblem) which included a gardevoir named Emerald (I was going to have a theme where all recruitable units are named after minerals).

Trace's middle name (Reshira) comes from the legendary pokémon Reshiram, just without the last letter.

The world that Trace came from largely follows the events of the main-line Pokémon games, specifically following White and White 2 for gen V which means Reshiram was caught by King N of Team Plasma.

Why Trace's middle name is based on the legendary white dragon's name is because of part of Trace's backstory, which I'm not ready to reveal yet.

As for how Trace got those names in-universe, the main difference is who gave them to him.

Trace's first and last names were given by his in-universe master, just at different times.

Trace decided on his middle name himself as a way to remember what happened in the past.

The in-universe origin for Trace's last name is basically just his hair color, by the way.

Lets talk about a different character now, actually two characters (Rose and Elion).

Rose and Elion are both named after flowers (roses and dandelions, which were coincidentally the first two flowers added to Minecraft), this name origin holds up both in-universe, and out-of-universe, with the only difference being who gave them the names.

Elion's crossdressing name (Ciel) was chosen because I was a fan of Town of Salem at the time and Ciel sounds kinda like CL (abbreviation for Coven Leader) and I wanted another of my OCs (also a ToS fan) to mishear the name as CL.

The reason I knew about the name Ciel was because one of the characters in Super Mario Bros. Crossover is named Cecil (I think from one of the Final Fantasy games), and it had been a while since I'd played SMBC so I didn't remember Cecil's name correctly.

Rose and Elion are sisters, so they (at least used to) share the same last name.

Their last name was Majika, based on the English word "magic", because they're both mages, but I eventually decided against using it.

I knew more about the characters' backstories at this point, so I knew that Rose and Elion would have different last names from each other.

Elion's last name is Arcana, basically the same as her old last name but based on the word "arcane" instead of "magic".

Rose's last name is Purpura, which is the Latin word for purple, and was canonically taken from Rose's girlfriend, who's a succubus named Promiscuity.

Since Promiscuity has such a long name, she also has a nickname of Misca, which comes from the second syllable of her first name.

Misca's last name comes from the fact that her hair color and most of her clothing is purple (also her favorite color is purple).

As for how Rose and Misca met and how a succubus is able to have a romantic relationship, that would fit better in a backstory/worldbuilding post.

And now it's speedrunning time, because most of my OCs don't have that much thought put into their names.

Melody is named after the protagonist of Melody's Escape, because I thought the name sounded nice (and because Melody and Medusa both start with M), and not because the two characters have anything to do with one another.

Whitney was named after Gym Leader Whitney from Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, and her last name (Rubia) comes from the same flower that Gym Leader Whitney's Japanese name (Akane) comes from.

Iris also shares the name of a Pokémon Gym Leader, but this time it's a coincidence as my OC Iris was named after part of an eye.

My OC Iris's last name (Visrete) is a combination of the English word "vision" and the Latin word "rete" (which means "net", I honestly forget why I picked it, it's been a while).

Malaise was named after a negative feeling that I know about because a Terraria yoyo was also named after it, and her last name (Apoca) is a shortened version of the word Apocalypse from the Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse (specifically Death, as Malaise is a reaper).

Azalea is named after a type of plant that I know of from Minecraft, but it's specifically a plant not native to her home for lore reasons.

Natsu, Haru, Fuyu, and Aki are all named after Japanese words for seasons, and they were canonically named after the seasons they were born in (apart from Fuyu who was born in the summertime).

Annabelle and Clair are names that I don't have specific reasons for giving my OCs other than thinking the names sound nice.

Here’s some Arcana Next Gens I made that I drew for a project I’m working on!

On the left is Amano Xiang (she/he) future Courtier for when Viscount Lionel, son of Nadia and Lucio takes the throne. Currently, his job is to take care of the Viscount’s younger sister. He’s a cautious, analytical soul who’s always trustworthy and responsible, though she can be a bit stiff sometimes.

On the right, Viscountess Dagmara (she/her). Please just call her Mara. She’s the child Lucio and Nadia had right before shit went down with the plague and such. She’s the spunky, carefree foil to to Xiang’s responsibility and can be quite the handful.

Though it takes them a long while to realize it, everyone could tell they were always meant for each other :3

(I fucked up when coloring mara’s hair. Top half is supposed to be a much brighter purple but it looks too brown:/)

This cute little drawing of mine has been getting quite a bit of attention lately, the drawing represents Prosecutor Volta as temperance reversed, and it’s one of the first ever drawings I ever posted to tumbler. It’s lovely people are seeing my art, no matter how old it is, but too be honest, I have a bit of a secret concerning that drawing specifically.

I hate that drawing.

“Say...Lena...could you pass me my cup?”

Lena peeled herself from her pile of pillows and stretched out an arm, fumbling around the nearby table for Asra’s abandoned tea. She couldn’t quite reach it and flopped down to the floor, gathering her energy before making any sort of second attempt.

Vesuvia was usually warm in the summer, but this year in particular had suffered more heat waves than usual. Lena had sold out of ingredients for cooling spells and charms that helped regulate temperature and had spent the past few days mopping her brow and resting her face against any cool surface she could find.

She and Asra usually spent their free time chatting by firelight, comparing notes on spells, cooking and more. Now that the humidity permeated every inch of her house, though, it was difficult to think of anything important, much less entertain the idea of sitting next to a fire.

At present, they were curled up on the floor in her front room, on piles of cushions and surrounded by long abandoned books. It had taken all of Lena’s energy to recharge the wards she and Asra assembled in every corner of their home, much less brew iced tea. Every day her glyphs grew less effective; lack of sleep leaving spellwork harder and harder. She had just enough energy to move, albeit slowly.

She lifted up to reach the cup a second time and frowned as it turned out to be just as successful as the first.

“Hold up,” she said, focussing, “lemme just…”

She focused her magic as much as was possible, trying her best to move past her sticky skin and dry mouth and centering the cup in her mind.

“Steady,” she murmured, “steady…”

The cup wobbled, though moved no further and she frowned, focusing all of her energies into the motion and digging her nails into the cushions beneath her in an attempt to hold her ground.

“If you want me to, I could-”

“Nope,” she said, squinting, “I got it!”

The cup shook even more, finally inching off of the table. She reached out towards it, hoping that she would be close enough to reach the handle, only to groan at the realisation that she was still several inches too far away.

“I could-”

“Nope!”

According to Asra, she had been incredible at magic and charms before her memories began. That same ‘before’ that lingered at the back of her mind like a bad dream. She smiled and nodded whenever Asra recalled her past, wishing for all of the world that she could one day be as powerful as the person she had been before with the same amount of focus that she was currently placing on Asra’s cup.

She could already feel the same dull ache across her temples that formed whenever she so much as tried to reach beyond the veil of her memories. She could already see the concern on Asra’s face as she squeezed her eyes shut.

“Lena,” said Asra, “don’t-”

He stopped abruptly, Lena dropping her arm and reaching to pinch her nose, which had started to bleed from the pressure.

Asra hopped to his feet without a care for how exhausted the heat had left him, reaching one hand to the back of her neck and gently easing her head forward.

“I’m sorry,” he said, regret and concern across his face in equal measure. “I should have done something, I-”

“I just wish I could…” Lena began, though stopped herself just in time. She had never said out loud exactly how much she wanted her magic back, nor made mention of her disappointment when it never came. The last thing she wanted was to hurt Asra’s feelings, knowing exactly how much he had tried to teach her.

She sighed, muttering that it didn’t matter, even if she knew that he didn’t believe her for a second.

“I know,” he said, pulling away his hand and getting up to fetch the cup she had tried so hard to move. “You know… I tried to enchant a teapot once...it didn’t end well.”

“Did it explode?”

“No,” he said with a smile, topping up her tea cup as well as his own. “Though it was just as frightening at the time.”

Lena accepted the cup he held out, grateful of the cool condensation against her fingers, though still silently wishing she had been able to do so much more. One of Asra’s first lessons, back when he was still teaching her how to walk and talk and read, was patience, though she had never been a particularly skilled student in that regard. According to Asra, she had always been the type to try and run before she could walk, though only then had it ever been literal.

She wiped the blood from her nose on her sleeve before lifting the cup to her lips, only to pause in place at a deep rumbling outside, following swiftly by the familiar drumming sound of heavy rain.

Lena practically jumped to her feet, rushing down the stairs and towards the shop’s front door before he could protest. She threw open the front door, throwing up her arms above her head in delight at the sudden downpour. The rain soaked her hair and clothes, hitting the ground so forcefully that it looked like strings in the air. She cupped her hands together and watched in delight at the rain that gathered there, turning to the open door of her shop and laughing out loud as Asra poked his head outside.

She stuck out her tongue to taste the rainwater, only to double over in laughter.

“What is it?”

She turned back to him, holding out the rain she had caught in her hands.

“It’s tea.”

Asra raised an eyebrow and held out his own hand, breaking out into a wide grin at the realisation that it tasted exactly the same as the iced tea in their cups.

“It...really is,” he said, unable to stop his own laughter.

What a sight they must have been, standing outside of the magic shop and soaked by the rain.

“Is this how it was before?” She asked, the mirth leaving her as quickly as it had arrived.

Asra squeezed water from his hair, watching as other townsfolk left their homes and made the same discovery that they had.

“No,” he said, with a degree of finality. “But that’s how it is now.”

It wasn’t the answer she had wanted, but it was reassuring nonetheless.

TIDBIT TIME; FUTURE GENERATION VERSE // 0.

Here are some concepts conjured up for this particular verse;

A holy war between the Ring of Gaea (worshippers of Lucifer) and the Order of Seraphim (worshippers of YHVH/God) is occurring, resulting in a worryingly high increase of murders and casualties.

Miles Edgeworth and Kristoph Gavin, because of their high investigational capabilities, have been requested by the American government to take on cases relating to this very war and solve them out in court.

Kazuya Aoyama (Protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei 1) has been requested by the Japanese government to aid Edgeworth on said cases, due to his large knowledge on demonic activity and the two cults.

One of the main instigators behind this war is Claudio Gareth, a high-ranked member of the Ring of Gaea and the half-brother of Tohru Adachi, Kristoph Gavin & Klavier Gavin.

Yuseph Narukami has met Claudio in a prior encounter. Due to their bloodlines, the two are fated to go against each other some day. This very encounter acts as Yuseph’s motivation to involve himself in the war and put an end to it for the sake of making sure his parents are safe.

This verse marks the formation of the Second Generation Investigation Team.

This verse focuses heavily on the ventures of said Second-Gen Investigation Team. The members including Cassandra Tatsumi (daughter of Jinxie Tenma and Kanji Tatsumi), Alethea Linda Misham (daughter of Vera Misham and Akihiko Sanada), Erich Hanamura (son of Yosuke Hanamura and Athena Cykes) and their leader being Yuseph Narukami (son of Yu Narukami and Trucy Wright).

Ariston, Kazuma, Haruka and Nico bear considerably important roles in this verse’s plot and joins the team as guest party members from time to time.

Several special demons, angels, gods and goddesses appear as bosses in the story. Yuseph’s holy blood plays a heavy part in their confrontation, drawing them to his presence...

This verse has no set location, and essentially takes place everywhere.

It’s a worlwide road trip for Yuseph and co’, basically! Watch as they travel through the globe and bond together as they work hard to put an end to all this holy warfare going on, slaughtering demons, angels and shadows on their current path...

Given this takes place in 2003, the Dark Hour is a thing. Doesn’t play much in the main plot revolving around the war, but it does have some significance to our OC cast of Persona users.

Like his father, Yuseph is also a persona user of the Fool arcana / a wild card user. The nature of this verse allows him to properly encounter and form social links with the mixed cast of Ace Attorney, Shin Megami Tensei and Persona characters. None of them know about his true identity though, for reasons you can already guess.

This verse potentially marks the first meeting between Trucy Wright and Yuseph Narukami. She doesn’t find out about her son’s true identity until later in 2012 however.

I have two new oc's (feel free to ask them questions)

Okay so I got into a second gen rp and I always passively imagined if Kyle and Asra had kids it would be a pair of twins. Gave it no deep thought past that. Well I recently got into a second gen rp and got to rp the twins which means giving them personality. Since I've been reading legends darkstalker from wings of fire I decided to loosely base them off darkstalker and whiteout. We decided to give the second gen kids space names for fun so the twins were called Aurora and Solar. The more I messed around the more I adore them especially Aurora.

The basics about them;

basic appearance; blood red hair, deep purple eyes, prefers brightly colored clothes in an attempt to mimic poison dart frogs.

likes; magic, learning as much about magic as he can, animals, pranks especially ones that show off his magic skills, learning, fighting(defending those weaker than him)

Adores magic and is overprotective of his twin for reasons I'll talk about in her part. He's a good kid but hasn't learned how to properly deescalate situations and having a natural knack for magic this means his go to is to stop the conflict as quickly as possible. If this is someone wrongfully yelling at Aurora or being a bully this means using magic to stop them, which is not the best solution and Asra and Kyle have tried to explain this multiple times. Cus he is a good kid and has a good heart he just tends to go straight to violence to stop the issue immediately. Like recently in the rp one of Naida's kid's yelled at Aurora for getting paint in her hair (Aurora was innocent) and Solar immediate reply was to attack her to get her to stop yelling at Aurora even when his twin was trying to sort out the issue calmly by pointing out she doesn't have red paint and maybe even go get Nadia to help them clean everything up. Solar's quick action caused a fight even if it was from a good place.

Aside from his love for magic and practicing magic he doesn't have the patients to sit and read books about magic instead trying to get Asra and Kyle to just teach him hands on which Asra is all for but also makes it a point that he should know how to read and write even if he doesn't like to do it. He once tried to set Faust on fire due to seeing the stove salamander and knowing she's magic and the stove salamander is magic so Faust should be fireproof like the salamander. Was disappointed to learn she is not fireproof after being stopped by Asra before any harm was done. Is the twin to get bored around the shop and rope Aurora into his shenanigans and Faust isn't always the best role model with that.

Adorable and smoll. Aurora is soft spoken and tends to enjoy watching more than saying her own opinion's. This does mean among kids her age she's more prone to being bullied or tried to be manipulated, although she is a lot harder to manipulate than she looks. Ever since the first time being bullied Solar has taken it upon himself to protect her against other kids. Instead of giving her more confidence seeing her brother jump into fights for her especially using his magic has only caused her to shy away from people more. While she isn't super interested in magic and doesn't at first glance have the same natural magical ability it was actually shown later on she has a weird sense being able to almost see magic. This disinterest isn't due to her not enjoying magic but more due to enjoying watching others do magic more than actually casting magic herself.

She doesn't dislike people and actually tends to be able to get along with a lot of different people by being genuinely nice. Although this is usually with older kids and adults being able to act more rationally and not pick on her simply for not speaking much. When she paints she tends to prefer to have a small bucket of water nearby so she can use her hands and fingers to paint and wash her hands between colors so she gets bright colors without having to use a paintbrush. Has been taught how to use a paintbrush but enjoys the feeling of paint on her hands and the control she has from using her fingers. She's actually quite good, while she can't paint realistic pictures she can make beautifully colorful pieces.

As mentioned in her dislikes she does have an emotional support plushies. These are a dragon, a cat, a snake and a bird. She mainly uses them whenever there's a bad storm as she usually grabs one of them anywhere from a few minutes to an hour before a bad storm hits, noticing the change in the air and growing uncomfortable and agitated. (She tends to bite them a lot as a way to vent out this unease.)
