hey. if the codeflippa thing ever gets to the point where charlie is *aware* (but in denial/doesn't care/whatever) that she's a code monster and if anyone else ever sees her switch and kills the code and if charlie finds out about it (or, god forbid, he witnesses it). that will end not well I think. because we saw the aftermath of his daughter being killed accidentally- and he understood that fact fully. how do you think he'll react, if someone takes his daughter from him again, on purpose?

Just realized something: Splinter had to watch his mother leaves to sacrifice herself to save the world, and his son leaves to sacrifice himself to save the world. The pain he must have gone through.
And with the abondonment issues he had from the first time, there is no way he left his baby blue's side in the weeks following the Krangs' bs.

living with abusive parents is like having the worst scum of the earth constantly telling you who you are and how you should live while they do the exact opposite and make worst possible decisions and the worst part of it that you still somehow hope these ignorant self-centered shallow hypocritical victim-playing villains would somehow find it in their non-existing hearts to care about you because they're your fucking parents for gods sake and you don't want to be without a family

i will ALWAYS love seeing, in movies/tv shows, the things parents will do to protect their children. joel shooting any and everyone he encounters without mercy or hesitation in order to save his babygirl will forever give me chills. you could literally see the very moment when joel decided that they all were going to die. he chose ellie over humanity and he would do it every time.

Just because I'm feeling a little chaotic, what would cause the human lords (before being broken) to go emotionally numb? Like what specifically for each Lord before being broken would be so emotionally intense they would just go numb? I imagine for rubedo specifically, watching his past (losing his daughter and wife specifically) infront of his eyes without being able to do anything, would cause this, but maybe I'm wrong?
Well, he missed them dying the first time, so you're not too far off. However, isolating him from his current support system would cause greater damage and be far more numbing long term, and in fact does. It didn't help and was no coincidence that the Ambassador's gifts to him were always that special mysterious wine.
The ambassador did emotionally numb them, in the most definite way. So to answer this question really is to just describe what happened in slightly more explicit detail. The slow testing of their loyalty and boundaries, persuading and pressuing, misleading and gaslighting.
