You unbutton your shirt, sinfully slow, and open it. He takes a deep breath as his gaze caresses the scar on your chest. The very one he did 9 years ago. His fingers come to trace it slowly and he hears your sigh of delight.

"Ready when you are, Sergeant Pembry."
I liked the part with the speedloader.
An excellent, well-paced thriller, with truly great characters, and some gorgeous cinematography. The Silence of the Lambs is a movie I'd been meaning to see for a long time now, though admittedly I doubted it could be as good as so many people say. I'm happy to report that I was wrong.
Jodie Foster's weird Virginian accent was pretty distracting at first, but either it improved over time or simply grew on me before the ending. Her performance was fantastic, and her confident, tough exterior concealing an inwardly vulnerable rookie type, made her a really compelling protagonist.
The bizarre relationship between her and Hannibal, who could so effortlessly see through her, was great to see. Definitely the kind of thing this series excels at, and very well captured here. That brief brush of fingers between them conveyed so much with so little.
Anthony Hopkin's infamous performance was truly outstanding stuff. I loved that they spent time enough to explore his character through great dialogue, while also giving him the opportunity to inflict the type of ridiculously implausible ultra-violence and disappearing act that only Hannibal Lecter could.
Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine) wasn't the most interesting villain, and I was apprehensive about the coding of such a monstrous character as transgender, even if they state textually that he isn't. Still, the scenes involving him and his (absolutely gigantic) basement were quite chilling.
The final confrontation was so well done, starting with that excellent doorbell fake out and ending with that tense first-person stalking and sudden, explosive shoot-out. "I do wish we could chat longer, but I'm having an old friend for dinner." has to be among the best final lines of all time.
An incredible movie, which certainly lived up to its reputation.
