•••▪︎ Tree Tunnel▪︎•••⁠ Another Georgia favourite of mine. The Wormsloe Plantation was high on my list of locations to visit when I was down there for a long weekend. What I didnt know though was that the long weekend I had picked was a National Holiday and a lot of places where shut as a result. Initially I thought I might have to pull up at the gates and take a photo through them, but then I noticed a small sign at the hut next gate the gate to say that they will be open for a few short hours the next morning. Phew!! It also meant I was able to visit on a very quiet day, allowing me to take loads of photos of this road leading up to the house without any cars driving along it :) Win! Everyone is talking about how "great" the weather is right now and mean sunny and warm by that. But I think rainy, dark and foggy days can be equally great. They bring a sense of calm that I lack to find in bright and sunny days, a mystical feeling that otherwise only comes in autumn and a darkness that even at nights hardly can be reached right now, at least when the sky is clear. While May was unusually cold, the weather in June turned 180 degrees and it has been nothing but sunny and warm.
