I love Mandalorians so much. They're all digging their own graves all the time and arguing about how this method of grave digging is much better than that OTHER guy's method of grave digging. Sometimes they get into wars with each other about whose grave is better. It never occurs to them to stop digging.

it's rare that i'm ludicrously reality-defyingly canon-denyingly attached to a het ship but i truly don't care how much all adventure time media keeps pushing huntress wizard, i WILL be team "finn and flame princess get back together once they've both grown up and matured emotionally" until the day i die and you CANNOT take that away from me

Catching up on Ahsoka because it looks like there's going to be a good episode next time dealing with Ahsoka and Anakin - and also with Ahsoka being played as a padawan by Ariana Greenblatt, who I liked in the Barbie movie (she's having a big year!), and who I might enjoy more than Rosario Dawson who is just... dull. Her Ahsoka is just kind of like a gap in the middle of a show that's named after her, and it's worse in a way than how Boba was left out of the show named after him - well no, it was worse in the sense of being upsetting to watch when Boba was left out of his own show because Temuera Morrison is charismatic as and I really enjoy watching him play Boba Fett, but it's worse in terms of quality to have Ahsoka Tano be dull. And if we're talking about shows about the wilderness years of a Jedi who had a close relationship with Anakin Skywalker, the Kenobi show was amazing and yes obviously it's unfair to make comparisons with Ewan McGregor who is Ewan McGregor, but it goes to show something.
Sabine's pretty good and I really like Huyang! Hera, I could always sort of take or leave Hera, I never minded her. I do appreciate the fact that there are so many important female characters in this show. Teva is here again for no particular reason, he's just the one guy with an X-wing (other than, you know, Luke Skywalker) who we're expected to recognise I guess.
It was strange when at one point Sabine called Huyang a daft droid. Daft. Daft does not feel like a Sabine word. Although I'm sure she would like Daft Punk.
I also don't understand why Kanan and Hera's little boy has green hair. I mean I know that was a design choice made back in Rebels and they're just following it, but it always struck me as odd. He looks just ike a standard human child apart from his hair colour. His mother doesn't have hair for there to be a green gene attached to. His skin isn't green like hers. His father had brown hair. You know? I suppose it makes about as much sense as Chibiusa's hair being pink.
Also, I remember seeing two human-Twilek children back in early The Clone Wars ("The Deserter") and they had headtails, no visible hair and two-coloured skin, so...

"people have got to learn the difference between i liked it and it was good" how about. people should just learn to understand why they like something and what they liked about it. and often that will lead to you saying "oh actually it WAS good. and here's why". or vice versa, if you understand why you dislike something you can say "it WAS bad and heres why". and bc those are opinions theres no objective or technical way to judge art as good or bad. you can say the lighting or editing or music is bad but like. someone somewhere is gonna disagree with you babe. are they wrong?? what if i thought the hunger games used the appropriate amount of shaky cam. then what.
#gonna write a post about why spirited away is a bad movie just to prove a point#if you have an unpopular opinion you could always simply back it up with an explanation if you want to argue about it so badly#it's cheesy it's boring it's pretentious it's problematic#it's unfunny it's not clever they're unlikable the messaging is awful#it's fun! it's funny! it's warm! i thought the characters felt real!#the story was compelling the editing was impressive the music was beautiful the cinematography was gorgeous#you can also just say you dont like something and it was bad with no follow up#i just did that with spirited away and i KNOW my reasoning is sound and im atraight up not going to explain bc i know someone will kill me!#anyway this is the one billionth time ive seen that post on my dash and its like#every time i feel the need to explain what an opinion is like im talking to a bunch of six year olds#would argue as well theres a difference between i LIKED it and i ENJOYED it. like newsflash people have complex feelings abt art#also. additionally. i think the way something makes you feel is reason enough to call it good or bad.#art is a conversation between the audience and the artist and sometimes even the most compelling smart cool badass convo topic#will make one of the people go ''i think that guy's an asshole'' and like. thats valid ig#theres no objectively good or bad conversation theres just. different conversations and different people to have them#lastly. im just kidding abt spirited away dont send me asks abt it LMFAO

Things I’m excited to see in s4
- DBK interacting with the homies/enemies/whatever the show ends up deciding on
- Iron Fan being a badass (we don’t see enough of that)
- Red Son and Mei.
- Mei solo-ing a fight
- Sandy taking MK to his therapist (this can be offscreen)
- A few more seconds of Sandy “going back to his old ways”
- Pigsy badmouthing his past self
- Tang attempting to go vegetarian
- Wukong (and maybe Macaque) being forced to confront their pasts
- Any moments of Bai He characterization and interactions
- Seeing what happened to the Mayor after LBD’s death
- FLASHBACKS GALORE

I love that Batman is so popular with macho toxically masculine men because Bruce Wayne is arguably the saddest, most pathetic, wet cat, weirdo little freak to ever be written

I have briefly discussed both of the Morris boys before, but I truly do get a kick out of Michael being thrown into magical shenanigans. DJ? DJ’s chill. He’s got this. Mortal as he is, he’s been engrained into the next gen’s chaos for years. He’s working as an assistant private investigator for an agency ran by a witch and minored in like. folklore or classics or something to have more background on some of the random magical things that comes up. He’s not magical, but that world is second nature to him.
Michael? look, he’s a few years older than the rest of them and so everything was pretty chill until he went off to college because that’s when the rest of the next gen started entering high school and figuring out that they can fight demons without telling their parents. Now he visits San Francisco and can’t avoid magical nonsense. He tries very hard to be polite about it, but also is lowkey breathing into a paper bag so the other next gen kids try very hard to leave him out of it but uhhh, it just keeps happening. Like he’s literally in New York and Chris orbs him and DJ into Michael’s apartment and Michael screams before realizing who it is and just has this moment of dread as he asks if there’s something going on in New York and Chris is just 😬 and dips to go vanquish the demon, have fun with your brother!
And like nine times out of ten, he isn’t helpful in a magical situation. Like sure he’s a great lawyer and a generally skilled person, but like. A cross examination isn’t gonna do shit when there’s a demon flinging energy balls at you!! And that’s v funny and all but also: the one time that Chris and DJ show up and are like hey, we need a lawyer is ofc the one time that it’s Michael’s element and so he agrees because this is his little brother (and little brother’s chaotic best friend) and he rolls up except it’s fucking. magic. court.
