First Time for Everything

A Bones & All inspired fanfic

Warnings: stealing money, being attacked, cannibalism (relax it's a bones and all inspired fic), blood, gore, not proofread

July 1989

You’d never stolen anything before. Not even when your friends would go into a Walmart and shoved nail polish and thongs into their purses. They always called you a goody-two-shoes or a scaredy-cat. You wonder what they’d think now as you carry a K-mart bag full of cash from the register you were working at not even 30 minutes ago.

Of course, being newly homeless generated a whole new incentive to steal the money. And even though it was so out of the norm for you, it was so easy. You waited until your line was clear, pulled open a bag, popped the till and calmly grabbed every stack of bills in the register, pocketing what wouldn’t fit. Then, you flipped off your register light and walked out. It wasn’t until you made it to the parking lot that you began to run. And now, the adrenaline high you are coming down from is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. They’ll never suspect you. Not with you being the golden employee that you are. Were. You can’t go back there now.

It’s getting dark, that along with the pointy tips of crumpled up money poking your thigh from the inside of your pockets snaps you out of your thoughts. This morning, you were worried about where you’d stay. It wasn’t the first time you got kicked out of a hotel room, and it probably won’t be the last, but at least now you can afford a new room for the night. If you can find one.

It's hot, one of the hottest nights so far this July. You pull off the thick K-mart polo and throw it into woods, leaving you in your black cami and a pair of khakis. A chorus of cicadas singing from the trees in that line the street almost drowns out the sound of a flirty whistle from behind you. You walk a little faster, not daring to turn your head.

"Hey, little lady," a man's gravelly voice calls out. "Why don't you keep the show going and take the rest off." The man laughs, but it's cut short by a painful sounding cough.

You pick up speed, your Converse slapping the pavement as you quickly turn into an alley, hoping to lose him by your abrupt change in direction, but a thick hand grabs your wrist.

"Let me go!" You yell, attempting to yank your wrist from his sweaty grip.

The man seems to enjoy the struggle, he tightens his fingers around your wrist as he pushes you into a warm brick wall. A tall streetlamp shines an eerie orange light into the alley, barely illuminating the man's features. He's got dark hair, stringy with sweat and grease. One of his eyes is missing and the other is open wide. He looks hungry. Ravenous. And the laugh that rumbles in his throat is truly sinister.

"Keep goin', darlin'. I love a good fight."

Then his tongue is on your neck, tasting your skin. You sob and gag as you inhale the scent of his breath. Sour with alcohol and something metallic.

"Come on, honey. Don't fight me, I just wanna taste-"

"Hey!" A new man's voice yells. "Hey, get off her!"

The man's grip on your wrist loosens enough for you to pull away from him. You take your chance and make a run for it. You dropped your bag of money when Man Number One shoved you against the wall, but you can't risk turning back around. You just have to make it ou-

You're stopped short by a hand in your hair, pulling your head back, bending you almost in half. You scream as Man Number One drags you. He's pulling you by your hair, your heels dig into the ground in front of you, desperately attempting to gain some traction. Your only view is upside down and distorted through the tears building up in your eyes. But, in the dim orange light you see the other man. He's peeling himself off of the ground and his nose is dripping blood onto a forest green crop top. His jeans are shredded, exposing a large amount of his legs, you're not sure if it's because he just fell or if the jeans are just naturally like that or why you're even wondering about the nature of his jeans. He's got a brick in his hand that he's attempting to hide, but even upside down you can see it. You see him look down at you and for some reason he winks. Then you realize, Man Number One can't see him.

Crop Top walks creeps up onto Man Number Two, like a lion stalking his prey. Then, without warning, he slams the brick into the side of his skull with a wet crunch. Instantly, you're dropped to the ground and as much as the landing hurt, the relief feels twice as good. Your scalp throbs and you're sure you're missing a chunk of hair. A set of light footsteps run toward you, and immediate dread sets in again, but it's Crop Top. He grabs you, throwing you over his shoulder. You're not sure if you should be scared or relieved as he places you behind a dark green dumpster.

Crop Top kneels down, looking over his shoulder once to make sure Man Number One is still down.

"Is he-"

"Not yet. Stay here. Don't move until I come get you," Crop Top says. He drops a plastic bag next to you. The money. You're immediately shocked he didn't take it for himself. That's what most people would do. His knees pop a little as he stands back up. He starts to walk off but stops. "And don't watch."

Don't watch? Isn't that like an automatic invitation to watch? You think to yourself. You lean your head back on the brick and close your eyes. You could run right now. You could take your money and get a room for the night and leave this odd encounter right here in this alley, but you don't. Instead, you poke your head out, peeking from the side of the dumpster.

Immediately you wish you hadn't. Crop Top somehow dragged Man Number One and sat him up against the brick wall, maybe 15 feet from where you're sitting. How he did it, you're not sure. Crop Top probably weights 120 pounds soaking wet, but he's managed to maneuver him just right so that he can...

You pop your head back behind the dumpster, unsure of what you just saw. There's no way...

You poke your head out, peeking again. There's a squelching sound, followed by a spatter of blood coming from Man Number One's neck as Crop Top bites into it.

Okay, yeah. He's definitely eating him. This should definitely be a sign to run, right? But you aren't moving. Everything in you is screaming to run. Run the fuck away because this dude is going to eat you next. But you don't. You sit there alternating from watching and hiding. It's like one of those car accidents you can't help but watch, hoping you'll see a dead body, or some fucked up shit like that. You shouldn't want to look, but you do.

Finally, after what seems like an eternity, you hear footsteps approaching. You sit up straighter against the brick. His stops in front of you. His white high tops covered in blood and gore. Why would he pick white shoes to wear if he's going around munching on dudes.

"You looked, didn't you?" Crop Top asks.

"I uh..." you risk a look at his face. It's covered in blood. His upper lip, his mouth and his chin are coated in it. You swallow hard. "What are you?"

Crop Top crouches down again, eye level with you. "A person like you," he smiles. "Name's Lee." He holds out a bloody hand. You look down at it then back at him. "Oh," Lee says, wiping his hand off on his shirt, then offers it again. Still just as bloody as before.

"Are you gonna eat me too?" The question falls out of your mouth, you can't stop it. Word vomit.

Lee scrunches up his face, pursing his lips as he tilts his head to the side, contemplating your question. "Mmmm, probably not. Unless you've done something really shitty..." Lee eyes your bag of money with an arched eyebrow and you shift a little.

"My name's Y/N."

"You work at K-mart, Y/N?"

"No," you answer too quickly.

"I've seen you there. A lot."

"I don't work there anymore," you say. "You've been watching me?"

"Every day for like two weeks or some shit," Lee says, like it's no big deal. Though up against eating a whole human, it's probably not. "That your first-time stealing from money from your job?"

You open your mouth, the urge to defend yourself creeping up your throat, but you cut it short. You just watched this man eat someone.

"It's my first time," you admit.

"No shit? Well, Y/N, there's a first time for everything." At this point you notice the grey grocery bag he's carrying. It's full and tied up, dripping slightly with thick red liquid. "Bones and shit," Lee says, and tosses the bag into the dumpster. It lands with a heavy, wet thud. "You got anywhere to be tonight, y/n?"

"Not really, no."

"Not really?"

"I'm homeless," you admit.

"Perfect, let's go."

This time Lee grabs your hand and pulls you up. You grab your bag of money and walk with him looking behind you every so often to make sure no one is following.

"Where are we going?" You ask.

"For a ride," Lee says smiling as he jangles a pair of car keys in front of your face. "Nabbed these off of fuck face back there before he tried to eat you."

"He tried to-"

"Oh, he was going to eat you real good. You're lucky I've been following you."

"How-"

"Shh save your questions, I'll answer all of them when we find his car."

"We're gonna steal his car too?" You ask. The amount of crime you've been involved in today is beginning to overwhelm you.

"You've never stolen a car?"

You shake your head.

Lee smiles. "I think we're gonna have a lot of first times, Y/N."

Living with the Haters

Hey folks - we had made a post not long after the influx of TikTokers came over with our thoughts on the situation and some advice and encouragement. In that post, we mentioned that they would probably get bored and leave. We still think this could happen, but as time goes on and they dig their claws in, it seems more and more likely that they might be here to stay. So here’s our thoughts on things as they are now and how we can work together to keep our community safe.

1. Do Not engage with them!

We’ve seen that a lot of these users are gaining traction and having a hearty laugh due to others sending them asks inciting violence, calling them out, or begging them to change.

Let us say right now that sending someone threats or suicide bait is NEVER okay, no matter how bad of a person you think they are. No exceptions. It’s not good to try and build ourselves up by tearing others down. Not only will this tactic just not work, it will only inspire these folks to be bolder, brasher, and more unkind. Hate from others does not inspire change - it only strengthens resolve.

So please, refrain from sending hate to any anti-endo posting in the #pluralgang tag! Give these people the attention they deserve - absolutely none at all!

2. Keep yourself safe and BLOCK!

Someone posting in the tags wishing violence on endos? Block!

Someone making cutesy “endos you’re not real and will never be valid uwu” posts? Block!

Someone posting in our tags “Why I think endos aren’t real/Why endos are harmful”? Block!

Someone making fun of endos, plurals, our community, and the labels we’ve coined to describe our experiences? Block!

Someone angrily slinging slurs in our tags? Block!

Someone crossposting their posts with plural inclusive tags (#pluralgang, #actually plural, etc) and also endo hate tags (#endos fuck off, #anti endo, #kys endos, etc)? Block!

Block anyone who makes you uncomfortable! Block anyone who denies you the right to define your own experiences in language that works best for you and your system! Block anyone who uses our inclusive tags to spread hateful ideas! Block liberally, block without remorse!

If you have any sideblogs, make sure to block these users from those blogs so that they cannot access any of your posts! Blocking a user from your main will not keep that user from viewing your other blogs. You can block on a sideblog through your Account Settings on Tumblr desktop version - reach out if you need any help with this!

3. Stay positive and active in our tags!

Don’t stop using #pluralgang and other inclusive tags because they’re getting overrun with TikTokers. Keep using them! In fact, use them even more! Post positivity, gush about your system, have discussions and conversations about plurality, post art, post poetry and personal experiences, just keep posting! We can reclaim our tags if we work together to fill them with posts that spread warmth, kindness, and earnest experiences. Make plural prompts! Ask questions! Post doodles! Take part in ask games! Make shoutouts for your headmates! Be your most authentic self, and don’t be ashamed for loudly and boldly being who you are!

In conclusion:

As more and more users block those who are spreading hate, they’ll find they have less and less content to hate on and interact with. They’ll be posting only for each other, and it won’t be as fun for them because there won’t be anyone to offend and trigger. This is what we’re aiming for!

And in the mean time, we can celebrate plurality how we choose! We can boost each other and lift each other up while simultaneously ignoring and avoiding those who seek to drag us down. Let’s work together to keep the plural community on Tumblr a beautiful, vibrant, and uplifting space!

this is mostly gonna apply to specifically swiftie tumblr, and even then like. you’re totally free to present yourself however you want, but these are just the dominant cultural norms

URLS

album and song titles are the most sought after

lyrics are also very popular (the shorter the better)

dashes are considered a bit cringe but slight misspellings or adding an s to words are fine

adding your name to your url will make people go 🫵 twitter user 🫵

PROFILE PICTURES

you should have a pfp chosen before you start following people, otherwise people will go “oh fuck a bot” and automatically block you

pictures of yourself will also make people go 🫵 twitter user 🫵

gradient/one color backgrounds behind a picture of taylor are still very common, but plain pictures of taylor are also a vibe

if they have that one particular pale pink-ish with a bit of grain filter people will go 🫵 twitter user 🫵

displaying your pfp in a circle format on your mobile theme is more common but if you have it square people won’t judge you

BACKGROUND IMAGES

there’s lots of acceptable ways to do this but something unique to tumblr is playing with the border between the background and the rest of your blog

a few years ago it was super popular to add a ripped paper effect to the bottom, and that’s still hanging on

a curved border (either a wave or a bowl shape) is also fairly common

making the picture smaller than the borders has started to gain traction (i started noticing it becoming popular like, mid pandemic)

hiding the pfp from your mobile theme to make your background flow more is super common but the color schemes should still compliment each other

MOBILE THEME

you can use this handy dandy tool to make your background/text color match a color in your background/pfp

i’d say white or black backgrounds are still the most common but i’ve found the colored background with white text to be making a strong comeback

there’s not a ton of judgement about this, as long as it all matches

BLOG TITLE

blog titles can really be whatever but in general keep it short (less that one row)

a short lyric, a word, or an emoji are the most common options

DESCRIPTION

i’ve found getting on a computer and going to yoururl.tumblr.com and clicking on the little painting thing on the top right corner to be the best way to edit text but the mobile app works fine too (unless you’re adding links then you have to go on a computer)

in general 2-3 rows are the most common, and ideally it’s not just one big wall of text

general format is name (this is where you link your caard/about page) / age/age range / pronouns in the top row and a (short) lyric you like in the bottom

another popular format is everything being a lyric and adding links to stuff on important words

if you like to make edits/art/some other type of original content feel free to add a link in your description

you can add links (again only on desktop) like this

MISC BLOG SETUP STUFF

if your likes/following are visible (especially if both are visible) people will go 🫵 twitter user 🫵

some people show their most popular posts, some people don’t, to my knowledge there’s no judgement either way

your pinned post can be whatever you want it to be but it’s super common to have it be a short about/navigation page

most people have a tag they use for personal posts (“name speaks/rambles/etc” is probably the most common) but you don’t have to if you don’t want to

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER PEOPLE

follow for follows are not super common. it happens (if you follow someone people it’s common for that person to check out your blog but not in any way a guarantee) but for the most part being tumblr mutuals is a higher bar to clear than “oh this person follows me.” if you want to get peoples attention i would recommend this method, but even then the person can chose not to follow you without it being an insult to your character

blocking is more common than it is on twitter and not an insult to your character. repeatedly starting shit with other people will cause your followers to block you. if you want to start a fight with someone just block them instead

feel free to reblog old posts and spam like

while the mechanics and terminology are very similar, in terms of the way they are perceived a tumblr like is not equal to a twitter like, a tumblr reply is not equal to a twitter reply, and a reblog is not equivalent to retweet

likes are generally utilized as a little hello or bookmarks

reblogs are closer to twitter likes than anything else

replies have a fairly unique function in tumblr interactions but i think the closest way to describe it is like a semi-public dm to the op— chances are no one else is going to see it but the op (except if you replied through a reblog, then the reblogger will see it, but the reblogger will still likely read your reply as intended for the op)

if you have a comment put it in the tags. you know those old screenshots of tumblr posts that have a million “oh my god this is so funny”s breaking up the content of the post? that’s widely considered not only cringe but a bit rude now, please don't do that

if you like someone’s tags, reblog from them and say “prev tags”. every few weeks you’ll see someone from a different corner of tumblr say “prev tags is dead!” but on swiftie tumblr prev tags has never died and doesn’t show signs of dying in the near future

@-ing taylor in a post (edit: unless it’s a joke, @-ing taylor as a joke is very funny feel free to do that) will make people go 🫵 twitter user 🫵

again you can present yourself however you want, tumblr is the home of cringe, these are just the dominant cultural norms that i’ve noticed on swiftie tumblr specifically

So.

I’m working really hard to complete this last part of Sweet Tooth. I know I don’t have a lot of traction/readership in the TGM fandom these days, thus it seems silly to announce this. But for those who have followed the series and sent kind words about it all this past year, it means a lot and I want to send you off with that.

Because I probably won’t be writing very much in the future. My health is declining. I’ve essentially been bleeding nonstop since June. I’ve been anemic and over medicated and under medicated and poked and prodded and scanned and presented with the dreaded “C” word. All without a meaningful support system while working full time and covering a boss on sabbatical.

I’m very tired. I am physically and mentally and financially drained and I am only able to find joy in very small, silly things.

There’s a lot of stuff I wanted to write that I know I won’t have the energy to get to. Fandom participation I wish I was more consistent with. Please know that every time you tag me in something, I see it and it makes my day.

I’ll still be around in some capacity. There’s several of you I’d never want to lose touch with. You mean a lot to me.

I don’t know what else to say, I’m just going to end it there.

Look, the actual petition probably won’t actually do something, BUT it will get Amazon’s attention if it gets enough traction. It is for that reason that you should take a second to sign!

They probably won’t address the petition, but if people talk about it enough, they might have internal conversations about it! Please sign and share, and support the movie!

Matthew Lopez joked on a podcast interview about releasing the uncut version, and said something like “let’s see about getting the non-deleted scenes seen, then we’ll see what happens”.

He totally wants to release an uncut version, but it’s not up to him. That’s up to Amazon, and for Amazon to make that decision, they need to know that it will be worth their time and money to do. If they see the film garnering a lot of streams/views/whatever, they are far more likely to put the possibility of an extended cut on the table.

So if you enjoyed the movie, stream the shit out of it!!

ok i have to make a disclaimer here too since someone just accused me of running scams and called me pathetic and then blocked me before i could explain anything lmao.

to clarify: yes i’m currently actively boosting multiple crowdfunds for 3 separate people (mutuals and friends who need financial assistance for various reasons), through my main blog yellowmonday and my fandom sideblog @thylaseraph . i am fundraising by mass dming blogs using scripted messages, because that’s the easiest and most effective way to reach out. these are all verifiable requests, they are legitimate, these are all unrelated people who i have chosen to support because i care about them. if this makes you uncomfortable and you choose to ignore/block me that is fine, especially if you’re a minor or can’t interact for some other reason. PLEASE do not report me i just got my account recovered !!

long post so more details below the cut

my method of crowdfunding: i am on a few other social media sites but tumblr is the easiest to crowdfund on, despite barriers like censorship and sitewide prejudice against crowdfunders. my goal is to get as many people to reblog these aid requests as possible. to do that, first i take screenshots of post notes with usernames — i use posts that have over 1k notes so i can reach a lot of different people.

based off the screenshots i direct message people, i type out each individual url, i can share the post with only 4 blogs at a time. many people have dms turned off. for every dozen usernames in a screenshot, i can successfully message probably half of them. i usually don’t know any of these blogs, i don’t look at their bios, i often don’t know if i’ve messaged them before.

it is an imperfect method and i inevitably dm people who get upset which i am sorry for, i always apologize when somebody says they don’t want to be dmed and won’t share. i apologize and try to be polite because i understand the suspicion, and i don’t want anybody to feel financially obligated especially because so many people are struggling rn, and also because it would be fucking awful if my friends got accused of being scammers just because of me trying to help. many people do end up reblogging, some people respond to my message with confirmation or words of support, which is always so appreciated.

about my scripts: the messages i send are scripted and copy and pasted, saying what the reason for the request is, and i am basically asking for whatever they can contribute even if it’s just a reblog and it’s fine if they can’t etc. it may also include things like, sorry for bothering you, sorry if i have previously dmed you/if you have previously reblogged, thank you, have a nice day etc etc.

i have revised the message a few times and i rewrote it for each person i am crowdfunding on behalf of to give more personal details. i copy and paste that and i think i can mass dm about 50 blogs per day. i talk about my script a little more here in a post trying to gather support for my spn mutual’s ongoing crowdfund — i encourage other people to do the same script + mass dming to gain visibility.

this method of individual outreach has been effective which is why i’m doing it! i share crowdfunds as often as i can on all of my social media platforms, but directly reaching out to people results in more traction. and i think that someone vouching for somebody else’s crowdfund also establishes more trust and credibility in other people’s eyes, which is incredibly unfair especially considering how isolated and unsupported many crowdfunders are. Black and brown people who crowdfund or rely on other people’s funds for survival are extremely scrutinized, disbelieved, criticized, harassed, ignored, and otherwise marginalized.

crowdfunds also get prioritized based on how relatable, aesthetically pleasing, or friendly they present themselves to be; as well as how “achievable” or “feel-good” they may be, and how well-known, connected, or put-together the crowdfunder makes a huge difference in whether their goal gets met. it turns into a desirability game, the most vulnerable and marginalized people are often abandoned.

i have seen chronically ill people die with unmet medical funding goals, the necessary social capital to meet a goal is so inaccessible, the project of crowdfunding is so impossible. from what i know, over my few years of observing and supporting crowdfunds, and attempts at crowdfunding for myself and my ex-partner in desperate times over the past year, the single most critical factor in meeting a goal (which is so. so uncommon) is the active participation, interaction, and endorsement of other people. including privileged and moneyed people, but mostly just lots of caring people being vocal. community literally saves lives even online. even a comment on a post or a decision to sponsor one person’s crowdfund can make a huge difference, i strongly encourage people to do this more often and just become more active and VISIBLY supporting crowdfunds.

many people crowdfund this way (through mass/individual outreach) for themselves or others, i don’t think it’s as common on tumblr and it might be harder to distinguish authentic dms from bots and scams on tumblr but. it is still a method that people regularly use to survive. and it takes up a lot of time and is not always fruitful and sometimes you get shitty responses but personally i would rather have that be aimed at me than the people who are pleading for support for themselves.

it is hard enough to make a post baring the most personal, intimate, painful details of your life, and have it not even generate $20; so how hard is sending that to people and be explicitly ignored or called a liar? i am glad to do this for my friends because it SUCKS. i have been directly asked by at least one person to do this for them, and for the others i just started doing it because they had not been getting the visibility they need. it’s not so fucking easy to get visibility on posts without directly begging for it, and many of the people who are crowdfunding do not have the time/energy/resources to do that. it is work, it is draining, when you have to do it for yourself.

i do this as often as i can, like i said there’s a daily limit of blogs i can dm before tumblr restricts me, and some days i do not have the energy which is something i feel bad about! i have had my own crowdfunds for affording things like masks for work, or groceries and rent before i moved back with my parents, but i have not dmed people for my own crowdfunds because i am somewhat secure rn. im in debt lmao and im working and contributing literally, literally my entire disposable income to sustaining other people as much as possible.

i have been fortunate enough to meet my small goals or have large goals partially met by mutuals or friends of friends which i am so grateful for, and which is painful to know knowing that daily my own friends are struggling with much less support or bigger, ongoing goals. i know it is a hundred times worse for people who are crowdfunding this way for themselves every day even if they do not have the energy, because they need to, to survive. that’s why i do this when i can, i simply have the time to help people in this way, in addition to directly donating if i can afford it, and because i have been in that position, and because people i care about are in that position, and because strangers who are in that position also deserve every ounce of support anybody else can spare.

i believe in the practice of mutual aid and since i do not have the ability to directly donate or get involved with irl organization myself at this time, crowdfunding for other people online is what I can do right now. i think society is fucked up idk what else to say! i don’t just mean machinations of society that cause people to become financially unstable and alienated in these ways, but also the attitude of mistrust and anger toward everybody asking for help that develops because of it. anyways.

if anybody has any questions about legitimacy, of me or the requests im boosting, i am fully willing to answer. some tips i would give if you’re trying to discern between a scam and an authentic crowdfund:

1) blog history and activity to see how old the blog is, if they have mutuals, if they post updates, if they blog about other things or talk about their life.

2) having a conversation with the person.

3) checking out the links they provide — if it’s multiple and usernames/face id is consistent across platforms, if they sell goods or services which could verify them as a real person, selfies and photos. most scammers are not putting that much effort in. if you’re not sure it is your right to ignore but please be aware of how many sincere people get harassed for this like please don’t be cruel or endanger somebody’s income.

and it’s fine that people ignore me or block me, please do so if you feel uncomfortable with a stranger reaching out like this, but above all else i don’t want to get any of my friends in trouble or make people doubt the validity of their crowdfunds, i just want people to know these campaigns can be verified if you take a few minutes. like im truly sorry to bother people because i know scams go around all the time but if you care that much it is not generally extremely difficult to find out if something is a scam or if it is genuine. and in the worst case scenario if you’re unable to decide for certain, you can. just ignore. and block.

Pokemon Gyms and whether my wheelchair user player character would be able to navigate them

Pewter City: Straight line on some cobblestones. Compared to the rest of this bullshit, this is luxury. Brock needs to come down off his staircase throne at the end of the corridor though.

Cerulean City: Yes. Mans can just scoot scoot around the edge of the pool. Misty has to come down to meet him though, she’s also on a staircase throne.

Vermilion City: Once he gets past the initial ‘what the fuck’ of the thunder barrier, as long as the bins are spaced out enough he’s fine. Doesn’t appreciate rummaging through trash though. At least mans isn’t on a staircase throne this time.

Celadon City: Depends entirely on how much tree is actually left after using cut.

Fuchsia City: He can make it through, but after about the third time of bumping into an invisible wall he’ll be real sick of this shit.

Saffron City: Runs entirely on little teleporters. Gucci.

Cinnabar Island: I never got to Blaine in LeafGreen but it looks like a straight shot.

Seafoam Island: Wouldn’t even be able to enter the gym in the first place. Can’t climb ladders.

Viridian City: Would probably develop motion sickness from all the spinning but I think he can navigate this one.

Violet City: I wouldn’t feel confident navigating the sharp turns 50 feet in the air walking, never mind trying to manoeuvre a chair through them. He can do it, but he won’t be at all comfortable.

Azalea Town: Stairs right at the entrance. Motherfucker.

Goldenrod City: Hard nope. Multiple steep staircases. Fuck you, Whitney

Ecruteak City: Morty, I love you, but the narrow walkway entirely in darkness over the void to hell isn’t exactly able bodied person friendly, never mind this-

Cianwood City: Another hard nope, those stairs look homophobic

Olivine City: Another straight walkway with an elevated leader. She’s definitely nice enough to meet him halfway too.

Mahogany Town: Ice gyms as a whole are bad. Not sure how well the chair will do on the ice (do you want to slip and skate or have traction?) and in Vernon’s case he is paralysed from the waist down so his lower body isn’t great at the whole temperature regulation thing. He’s definitely learning about winter’s harshness, thank you. Compared to the other ice gyms this one is pretty chill though.

Blackthorn City: The warning of unstable footing at the start is worrying, but the puzzle itself can be done.

Rustboro City: It’s all ramps until you get to the almighty stair throne, so okay. Also he’s absolutely stopping to look at the little museum.

Dewford Town: Give him enough room between all the exercise shit and we’re gucci

Mauville City: More of these random electric death walls? Eh whatever, the floor’s level at least. ... NEVER MIND I FOUND MORE STAIRS

Lavaridge Town: What the fuck. Fuck you.

Petalburg City: Doesn’t seem to pose any problem, yay!

Fortree City: I don’t think he’s getting in, dear.

Mossdeep City: Y’know what? All this floating around is pretty cool, actually

Sootopolis City: WALLACE YOU MOTHERFUCKER WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS

Oreburgh City: Ah yes. Vernon’s actual home region serving him an immediate slap in the face with steep ass stone stairs. Wonderful.

Eterna City: Ahh, so peaceful, so chill, such a vibe. Maybe there is hope after all.

Veilstone City: Goodbye hope, hello whatever the fuck I have to push and a lot of stairs before you even enter the gym itself-

Pastoria City: Besides this being the weirdest fucking swimming pool I’ve ever seen, it’s another fuck you to wheelchair users. Though Vernon can swim, so if there’s a clear path from the entrance to the leader via the water he can make it, he’s just going to have to fight the battle soaking wet, in a swimsuit and on the floor.

Hearthome City: As long as you can do maths, you’re alright.

Canalave City: He can navigate it but those super speed lifts are giving him motion sickness for sure.

Snowpoint City: He’s dead now. He fell down the stairs right into the massive piles of snow and suffocated.

Sunyshore City: It’s another hard nope, and I had high hopes when I saw the catwalks-

Striaton City: No problem no worries, Hakuna Matata.

Nacrene City: As long as someone can get the books down for him he’s good.

Castelia City: Pushing through the gooey shit will be annoying but it is possible as long as it doesn’t gunk up the wheels too bad.

Nimbasa City: It’s possible, but only if someone brings his wheelchair round to where he’s getting off the rollercoaster, or the chair can go on the coaster.

Driftveil City: Lifts and scaffolding? Okay. Random staircase right at the very bottom? Not okay.

Mistralton City: The cannons themselves are fully disability friendly. The stairs are not. So close.

Icirrus City: I’m giving this one a no. Even without the stairs, that jump, the fuck? We’re not all stunt ready actors, sir.

Opelucid City: The path is narrow and winding, but it has cool trick ramps and that’s a win in Vernon’s book! But also there’s stairs so 0/10

Aspertia City: Straight shot with a stair throne. Cheren you patronising cunt, get your ass down here.

Virbank City: Stairs right at the beginning. They’ll never hear him scream.

Humilau City: Getting on and off the lilypads looks like a pain, it might be easier to swim it again. Also it looks like you need a lot of momentum to move those pads.

Santalune City: He’s fucking dead again.

Cyllage City: Grant what the French fried fuck is this?

Shalour City: Yeah no this is impossible. Sorry, buddy.

Coumarine City: WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS. I can't fucking do this shit with fully functional legs.

Levincia: All you have to do is sit there and look at some cameras and look pretty for the fans.

Cascarrafa: The trek through the desert to get Kofu’s wallet back to him ain’t gonna go well, but this is supposedly not the usual pre battle challenge so ehh.

Medali: The stage at the treasure eatery is a whore but everything else is fine.

Montenevera: Once again, access to the stage and the gym itself are whores. He’s gonna pet all the ghost dogs though.

Alfornada: You just gotta make faces for this one, right? Surely any other exercises Dendra and Tulip give you should be able to be adapted for the disabled anyway.

Glaseado: Uhhh the snow slope run is done on the back of a Pokemon as far as I remember so it should be fine.

Hello, I'm currently working on a fanfiction in which I'm also bringing in my headcanons about Haddie's past/childhood. And I was wondering if you have any headcanons of what Haddie's and Mikaela's childhood/past was like. With Haddie you had posted a picture where she is lying in front of a TV with static, because she can't sleep otherwise, if I remember correctly.

Since I like to read about other people's headcanons, I would also be interested in yours, if you have thought about it.

It's always very interesting what ideas people come up with and how others interpret things.

I do have quite a lot of headcannons for them that I rarely share asdgshgd, but I’ll try to keep it condensed here on just their childhood-

Haddie

- After losing her parents at age five, she has a sore spot for winter and its holidays

- She experienced relentless bullying for her visions, and was often socially outcasted

- Every once in a while she’ll receive the stray empathy from another classmate but it was pretty rare

- She has nightmares every night after losing her parents and developing her powers

- In order to not feel like a burden on her adoptive family, she worked really hard

- Chores, studies, errands- she was the kid who didn’t remember how to kid anymore- she felt pressured to grow up

- That meant as she grew up, she had a part of her that didn’t, and probably never will

- It wasn’t uncommon to see an eight year old Haddie passed out in the kitchen as she was cleaning it

- Her adoptive family did their best, but Haddie never really felt like she belonged- she still refers to her adoptive mother and father by formalities (aside from the very rare occasions)

- Her adoptive parents have a decent income- pretty middle class- so Haddie has dealt with financial struggles as a kid

- She kept going with her education out of spite and the presumption that it would help her adoptive family

- She did go to college with scholarships but dropped out after her podcast started gaining traction

- Her only best friend is her adoptive brother- he’s the only one that Haddie will refer to as family- but they really do know how to get on each others nerves (as all good siblings should)

- Because she really only interacts with her brother, she never really knew how to socialize- nevermind her autism

- She doesn’t acknowledge her autism; not really ashamed of it, but not proud of it either

- She didn’t choose to be a nerdy kid, she’d much rather be outside playing sports, but scholarships demand studying

- Awful emotion control and mental health, she doesn’t seek therapy and often bottles things up, she had way worse coping mechanisms when she was a kid

- Her patience, calculation, judgement, reason, compassion- she had to teach all that to herself

- She had long hair as a kid but it was cut roughly when she started having visions- whether or not it was herself or a monster- Haddie won’t disclose that information

- Despite always being surrounded by loving people, Haddie has always felt alone

- She never did know who and what she was as a kid, and that was only made worse with her powers

- Due to her rushed childhood, Haddie now has a soft spot for children as an adult

Mikaela:

- She had a decently good childhood

- She wasn’t bullied or spoken ill of- but she was always “the weird kid” that not many people associated with

- The stereotypical nerdy kid that only had one or two friends- and they were all inch rested in the same exact things asfgfh

- Her father moved with her after the divorce with her mother

- While Mikaela had been birthed near the coast, her father moved with her into the city, but they still often go back

- Her father loved the sea and had a boat and everything, a typical American dad- if not for his higher than middle class income

- So despite her boring school life, Mikaela had a fulfilling childhood overall

- She will eagerly talk about memories with her father, but she has a harder time coming up with memories with her friends

- Not because they were bad friends, they just didn’t interact much outside of school

- She worked at the Moonstone before she dropped out in high school to go her “self sustaining” ideals

- She’s severely autistic, which made parts of her childhood difficult- as her father tried to “figure out what’s wrong”

- Mikaela went to counseling as a kid because of the things her mother has done (she and her father refuses to talk about it)

- She grew up having regular counseling and therapy sessions; she’s still struggling with mental health, but has the tools to combat it

- Only really made friends through work

- Her father was awful at hair care so Mikaela has fond memories of him playing and practicing with her hair as a child, so her sign of trust became letting others play with her hair

- Mikaela never really felt lonely because she had her dad

- And he bent backwards many a times to raise her the best he could

- Admittedly Mikaela felt pressure to make her father proud, but he was always pushing her to be herself and live to no one else’s expectation

- So despite her insecurities and depression, Mikaela knew who she was and wanted to be even as a kid

- Part of why she loves Halloween as an adult was because of the experiences she’s had with it as a kid- which were all positive

In the broader scheme of things, they technically “won” bragging rights because according to publications and the words coming from Chris’s own mouth (he didn’t mention the skank directly but 🖐🏾😒🤚🏾) CE & AB are “married”. So why do these grown adults worry so much about if other grown adults have different opinions than them? Are they scared that any day now something’s going to pop up and expose this whole situation for being fake? Are they scared they won’t have traction if they don’t continue being the opposing “side” and cause strife and chaos here between blogs? Are they scared that they’ll have to come to terms with being used as pawns in a game that should’ve never been invented in the first place and they’ll have to face the reality of how terrible they looked and acted?

If you’re so secure in your position that a celebrity relationship is so real despite you not even being 1/2 of it, then stick to your shit and move on with your life. You got what you wanted. Why are you still wallowing and crying about other blogs? I understand that some blog’s have anons who go to other blogs and cause drama in hearsay, but practice what you preach and block the opinions and asks that you don’t like. It’s as simple as that. No one deserves death threats and harassment over their own perspective, but if you don’t like something being said remove the problem. Especially if it’s your blog. Curate your experience for yourself and surround yourself with people who share the same ideas you. I mean their favorite Nazi Pornstar surrounds herself with racists and antisemites so obviously she curates her experiences to what she wants around her since she hasn’t kicked their asses to the curb. Take a lesson from your new fav. You know the same one whose ass you were just dragging this time a year ago.

Their first excuse anytime someone disagrees to their opinions is, he won’t fuck you. Sure, he won’t. Since he doesn’t know us. And I wouldn’t wanna fuck him either after how he’s been acting the past two years. I will just never understand how women in their late 20s to apparently Chris’s age (and this is not me just bringing up age to bring it up, this is me pointing out the antics of overgrown ass women and adults) forgot that everyone is different, and not everyone is going to think like you do. I think they’re just bothered because a lot of anons or peeps they used to interact with are in a state of whiplash by how quick they flip flopped like fish (😏) with going from dragging to now just absolutely adoring Dumbass and Megamind over here so they’re getting called out for being fake. Which in a sense is what they deserve. You can’t sit here and be in outrage over her racism associations and co, but then within the same year start loving her and forgetting all of the shit she did and then forget your own actions in the process like it never happened and then have the audacity to get pissy when people are calling you out for it. I won’t read to much into the follows and the likes and comments. I think it’s just simple social media tactics. It’s them trying to show that he could branch or simply be the fact that he likes her music. It could be a possible collaboration but dating would be a stretch. I think it’s wrong to put him with every woman he interacts with him on a romantic level. It’s disrespectful to her possible relationship. Like honestly just focus on the music. Her twin sister was her creative director for her last album maybe he’s looking for a collaboration in that part of his image as well. For all we know they probably don’t know each other personally. But I guess that’s why it’s none of our business. His team is trying to make sure he has a market in other genres to show that he’s not just another who raps. But I would like to see hid music evolve and become something of substance instead of catchy lackluster tunes. Like Jackman was good because he was vulnerable and it was a nice change from his other stuff. But I think it didn’t get a lot of traction, he decided to go back to his normal stuff. But one thing about rap music is that people want longevity they want music that’s gonna make them think and sit back to listen to the lyrics. He hasn’t reached his full potential because he refuses to evolve and grow as a person and an artist. Before he became famous he had confidence in his art. But now he’s so insecure and you hear it in his music. His sense of confidence is a false one. He truly needs to take a step back and evaluate where he truly wants his music and career to go.🌊

the first part of this is about laufey, for those wondering. i didn't think too much of it either, i would need more proof than that myself, but i will entertain everyone here. i don't believe anyone means harm with their speculations. see this is what happens when he starves us of info. lol. either they are just friends, or it would make sense for a collab, but i guess we will wait and see. i didn't know that her sister was her creative director on the last album, that explains why she is always posting about laufey and what she's doing. thank you for that information.

that seems to be the general opinion of those i have interacted with. jack has very little to write about, since he doesn't really experience a lot of things being stuck in the confines of kentucky. we also agreed that jackman was a good album and it showed off his story telling, although it was way too short. he did say this album was for the fans, but i think it was to soften the blow for it not doing so well. it was a random drop, no promo and people were not prepared and there was no hype around it. that is not the way it should have been received by the world from a marketing perspective. he is not at that level where he can do something like a "drop and go".

you can tell that he is not as confident as he used to be and i think this goes beyond industry pressure. i think of the lyric, "but deep down, i find myself wonderin', if the people that write about me are right about me" from denver. i think he's letting the criticism (and some of it valid, for sure) get to him, and i wish it motivated him instead, because he has the potential, we've seen it. it's just that for some reason, at this time, which should be the time where he is like everywhere, he is … not. he also said he doesn't want to do press, which is not helping him in the slightest and to be honest if it's going to be the same regurgitated shit over again, i would rather he keep it. he needs to let go of this whole "privacy" thing, an interview is not a violation of it. you can talk about stuff, instead of telling us the same thing over and over again. i literally don't bother checking them out anymore.

asking jack to reflect on stuff is probably the biggest struggle. i think his motto is "ignorance is bliss"and if he sat down and had to reflect on something, he would have a heart attack. addressing things and seeing them for what they are is not his thing.

name/nicknames: bo is one of my r/l nicknames that I've had since I was born. It's actually a nickname of a nickname. It comes from my dad calling me bobo baggins and I hated it until about 5 years ago. I'm also called lamps (thanks to the wonderful @b1uetrees) by a few people here. Overall, I don't really mind what I'm called (as long as it's not tiffany as that can cause confusion due to the fact that it's an actual name, but not my name)

fandoms: beyond evil... what else?? lol 🤭 I used to write for other fandoms years ago but those works have long been deleted. I stopped writing/reading fanfiction altogether many years ago but then beyond evil came into my life and now lives rent-free in my brain

two shots?: Uhhhh yeah, I have an unsuccessful one 😂 My fic Your Love's Whore currently remains as an incomplete two-shot, due to the fact that I really don't like it and feel no desire to complete it (not going to tag it cause it's ew)

most popular multi-chapter fic: for sure it's Indoctrination, which comes as no surprise because it's the first fic I wrote for BE. So, it's had the most time to get traction. But also, it's the only multi-chapter fic I've completed 🙃

actual worst part of writing: having dyslexia and being perpetually insecure. I constantly get in my way, I'm my biggest critic and worst non-fan. I rarely like what I write and only tend to see the mistakes/negatives, instead of the positives. So.... me. I'm the worst part. Also, my concentration. I have so many abandoned wips/ideas because I lose interest in them far too quickly

how you choose your titles: The name of the Baptism trilogy (Indoctrination, By Desire, Martyrdom) was taken from religious jargon and the rest were either taken from song titles/lyrics, or from quotes/poetry/literature that I feel supports the themes of the story

do you outline?: yeah. Either I know point A and point B and let myself work out the journey one to the other as I write (my favourite way of working), or I write down loads of notes (before I forget them forever)... and there was that one time I wrote an 8K outline for a story I didn't end up writing 😩😂 Examples:

ideas you probably won’t get around to, but wouldn’t it be nice?: i have sooo many! I'm very good at coming up fic ideas but pretty terrible at actually writing them to completion. I'm going to ignore my current published wips and instead share 3 ideas I WISH I could write: my jwds workplace au (13 chapters of just the cutest flirting. I love it, I still hope to complete it one day) a jwkh fic that explores their relationships with a big dollop of Han Toxicity (and lots of feelings) (i love them so much) jw/ds/jy based on the song Girl Crush 👀 (it's a jwds love story, really... but with extra steps and a bunch of Repressed Sexualities... a "what if?" fic)

callouts @ me: 1) interaction is not the purpose of writing. you're writing for yourself, not for numbers 2) stop comparing yourself to others 3) give it time. you don't have to be productive constantly

best writing traits: oooooffff... Uhm, I would say that when I have a good grasp of a character's personality, I am able to paint a vivid picture of their emotions and motivations. I feel like I'm also good at creating a sweet spot (of sorts) between melancholy and happiness when exploring love (my love stories are often underlined with sadness and angst)

spicy tangential opinion: STOP GATEKEEPING CHARACTERS. you don't own them. they cannot be owned, so therefore, you don't get to dictate to other creatives how they should interpret that character. You're not any better because you see a character in one way and some people see them in another. It's fiction. It's meant to be fun. Stop making people uncomfortable with how they explore their passions just because it doesn't meet your standards. That's just- ugh. Stop. Plus, like, with all my love and sincerity... who the fuck are you? Y'know? We're all just some guy on a website sharing pixels and opinions, so... let's just have fun and give each other the space to feel welcome 💛

i don’t know if i’m the right person to ask for this, since i already had an audience for my art, so i didn’t have to start from scratch. and i also have been able to create my own promo art, which is very helpful because social media is SO visual.

what i can say is that i have noticed that overwhelmingly tumblr and tiktok have been the best places to find readers and to actually connect with people over books. i recommend consuming the kind of content you are looking to make and that includes not just the social media posts that get a lot of traction, but also actually engaging with the content/creators and reading their work. and not just focusing on the MOST popular/viral posts/creators, but also on people who are closer to where you’re at career-wise. basically, do your research and try to make friends!

i say this to anyone trying to build an audience for anything, but you can’t make people resonate with your work. you also can’t force people to like or follow you/your work. but you can try to make friends and foster a community and in some ways that’s the most valuable thing. there are a lot of people out there who would love to be a part of a small and supportive creative community but who don’t feel confident enough to reach out to others. and i don’t mean this in a fake/networky way, but if you are a person who is able to do this, i really recommend trying. because your audience size and sale numbers aren’t in your control and focusing on those results will make you feel like shit, but making friends? that’s actionable. you can’t make people be your friends but you can reach out and you can try. and it feels good to support and help others and to receive that help in turn. and in general, when people can see that you’re loving what you’re doing/making, that you’re having fun and fostering a community—that’s attractive.

overwhelmingly, you are gonna try and try and try and maybe 1-10% of your efforts will gain any real traction, but it’s important to keep trying and to try different things. building an audience snowballs. it typically starts slow and then grows exponentially. but i’m no marketing expert and there’s not hard and fast rule on what will or won’t work, as we’re all different people making different things under different circumstances. all you can do is try to make your experience a good one.

I'm just curious and please post if you can cause I'm curious and I feel like other sane Army's would want to know. I don't know why it's on my mind, but who all have BTS dated or are with? If you don't know that fine, but everytime I try to look it up it gets social media "buried" and I can't tell if they (army) are doing that to protect them or because they are in denial of grown humans dating.

uh huh even though it technically is to protect the members, army mostly gatekeep because they’re delulu and in denial of them being grown ass men. i’ll try to list everything i’ve heard but pls take it with a grain of salt

yoongi: suran is the most notable one, there’s plenty of stuff out there like a pic of her holding yoongi’s dog and wearing his clothes. iu is more dodgy but i’ll still mention it because she wore the same clothes as him a couple of times around the months before and after eight came out. and it’s not like they were notable designer items they were just random sweaters. but whatever it was they obviously decided to just be friends since they collabed again and she has a bf now. oh yeah and there’s also pics of him with a big tittie baddie from the debut days and i love it lmaoo.

jimin: he was with some member of gfriend during the early days i forget her name i’ll edit this if i remember. more recently last year there was rumors of him and an actress named song da-eun after she sat behind him at a soccer game. fans started digging and there ended up being other instances of them going to the same places. but her agency denied the rumors after they gained a lot of traction and that’s where that ended.

jungkook: the tattoo artist named m1joo he got caught hugging really was his girlfriend and not just a friend like the damage control statement claimed. pretty unfortunate sitch but other than that he was spotted last year with a mystery girl on several occasions such as in qatar, jeju island, and a bbq spot in seoul. no one has been able to id her but a lot of people think it’s lee yubi an actress he’s had rumors with for a while.

hobi: only one i know of is irene kim, she’s an influencer and i love her instagram acc. i actually followed her before even getting into bts. but armytwt makes jokes and are convinced he’s just her gay best friend. idk if you ask me someone of the opposite sex who is just a friend doesn’t travel across the world for you twice (ptd in vegas shows and lollapalooza). besides that they attended several of the same events last year including an art gallery event with namjoon. for me it’s a bit naive to think she’s just a friend unless he really is fruity which is a whole other discussion i won’t participate in.

taehyung: maybe like a year or so ago there was major rumors of him with an heiress named joana chun after they got photographed at an art gallery and it made him so pissed he got on weverse and denied it himself. funny enough guess who is one of joana’s closest friends? none other than my homegirl jennie. so we now know why the rumors made him so angry because people had the wrong girl! lol.

-namjoon: zero clue, although he and soyoon have hung out a lot recently and army are actually shipping them i don’t buy it. he seems super rational i don’t think he would enter a relationship just as he’s about to enlist. besides her he seems to exclusively enjoy the company of non-celebrities when it comes to friendships so i assume all his exes are the private citizens too.

-jin: zero clue, all i know is that he comes from an insanely wealthy family so celeb women probably don’t interest him either. but the members did say his house resembles that of newlyweds so do with that whatever you want, lol.
