okay does someone actually have an answer for why modern blockbusters all look so flat and like… exactly the same. like why do they look so bland

#yes this is me ragging on the wicked trailer again #is it just because they’re so reliant on cgi and the studios are overworked and underpaid?? #also COSTUME DESIGNS #they’re all so BORING NOW #80s/90s/00s films have some CRAZY good costume design #but in the past decade or whatever they’re just. mostly lacking something #one I always think of is belle’s ballgown in the beauty and the beast live action #soooo boring where is the flavour!!

Thinks about how it's also objectively deeply flawed as a movie and could and should have completely axed the cop aspect of the movie: ehhhhh not the best movie ever but I still enjoy it for what it is :)
