Tumblr media
The almost every day visits or the coffees he brought you in mornings when you had a long day ahead of you, turned into the every few hour texts, sometimes small phone calls if you were lucky. Conversations not lasting long, you were craving not only your best friend, but the man who had become your comfort person. You missed his voice, his smile, the way his big hands rested on the small of your back as he hugged you. Most of all though, you missed his presence.
Now you couldn't see him for a bit of time as he filmed for "Daredevil: Born Again". You were so proud of him, you really were, but the distance killed you. More than you thought it should of, but what could you say, he had your entire heart and he didn't know it. You were always so scared to tell him the truth, especially because you felt like the feelings you had would never reciprocate. Not only wanting to see him, but to tell him the truth on how you truly felt, you booked a round trip to New York to surprise him. Deep down you knew you weren't the only one missing someone. He missed you more than you would ever know.
It was currently 12:35am and you sat on your flight, anticipation killing you from the inside out. You were almost in New York and he had no clue where you were. Calling him earlier that night to have a chat for a bit and say your goodnights was were you left off. Little did he know you were about to leave for your flight, but here you sit now, almost about to hit the run way.
Getting off your plane, you stood in the middle of the airport for a minute, letting all your messages catch up to you. What really caught your eye from a quick gaze was the "I love you sweetheart" text he had left for you. Butterflies flew in the pit of your stomach, roaming freely as a blushed creeped up and onto your rosy cheeks. You could always hear the way he called you sweetheart in your head and it constantly replayed. It was truly music to your ears.
Quickly texting back Charlie saying, "I love you too boo:) hope you're sleeping well<3". You smiled at your own text like a kid in the candy store, imagining his face lighting up to your text. It was only gonna be soon enough till you saw him. I mean you could surprise him now, but honestly, you had no clue where he was staying at the time being. So for now, your plan was to surprise him where you knew he'd be filming tomorrow. And to you, you didn't care who was there to watch. You just wanted to see your "best friend".
Hurrying off to hail a cab, you were soon off to your hotel. Each minute closer till you saw him again. You just for sure wanted to get rest before you saw him later that morning.
(time skip blah blah blah :D)
Waking up the next morning, you quickly sat up, a smile instantly blooming on your face. Today was the day you would break your distance and he still had no clue you were there. Reaching over to grab your phone, you ignored most the notifications, as all you cared about was his.
"Hey sweetheart, hope you slept well. Shoot me a text when you can." was what Charlie had wrote to you just only an hour ago. Not replying, you quickly got up to get dressed. Slightly fast walking into your bathroom, you quickly slapped on some makeup to make yourself feel elegant for this small occasion. You knew he didn't care whether you wore makeup or not, but to you, you always wanted to look good for him. You also reminded yourself when packing to pack his favorite body mist of yours, making sure to apply it evenly.
You remembered the first time you had it on, as it was a new scent for you, and the way he wrapped his arms around you. His nose catching a sniff of it on your neck and then and there, that was per heaven to him. After his comment, you never disregarded to put it on, especially when you knew he'd be around you.
Looking in the mirror, you slightly smirked at yourself, knowing you looked hella good. "Okay this is it, I'm gonna go see him," You spoke to yourself in the mirror, a small squeal of excitement coming out in the end. God, you were like a fan girl meeting her favorite celebrity. I mean he was your favorite, who could blame you. Especially with how he looks… especially those biceps.
Quickly shaking your head, you pulled yourself out of your thoughts. You knew you had no time to think about this now, you needed to see him. Grabbing your purse and phone, you slipped on your shoes and slipped out your hotel door. Little did you know, you left your hotel key card inside.
You knew Charlie wasn't filming too far down the street from where your hotel was and that's exactly why you picked it. As you stepped outside the tall building, you took in the bustling streets of New York. "Oh this should be fun," You muttered to yourself as you started walking in the direction of the set. You hated public crowds, especially big ones like this, and deep down, your anxiety had set in as soon as you set foot off the plane. Pushing past your negative thoughts, you slipped in your earbuds, trying to forget the world existed till you made it to your final destination.
Soon enough, you rounded the corner, keeping your distance as you saw them wrapping up for a break. This was the golden time to see him. Waiting for a few minutes as all the crew continued chattering along, you decided to text him.
"Behind you silly ;)", you texted him.
Confused, he turned around, his eyes instantly catching yours, quickly shoving his phone in his pocket. The inside of you was breaking down with tears as you cupped a hand over your mouth to keep the joyful sobs quiet. Running across the crosswalk as fast as you could through the crowd of people, you ran to him, throwing your arms around his neck. You didn't even give him another second to look at you before you latched onto him. He knew how much you had needed him these last few months and it broke his heart when he couldn't be there in person, but now that was all over. It was you and him, right here, right now.
You held back your sobs as best as you could, but deep down, this was what your heart had yearned for on the nights where you were down. These were the same arms you wanted wrapped around you when you wanted to cry, and now, here there were at once. "When did you get here?", Charlie asked surprised, only pulling back enough to look into your eyes. You giggled a little at the confusion in his voice. "Last night actually, but I wanted to rest before I saw you", You responded with the biggest smile on your face. Actually, you didn't know who had the bigger smile.
That was one thing you always loved about Charlie. His smile could always light up a room and it especially always light up your world. Always.
"You shoulda told me sweetheart! I woulda loved to see you last night. I missed you so much," He said cutely, resting his chin on top of your head, pulling you back into him. "Well don't worry, I'm here now. I missed you so much too though. I know you know that," You said replying back, closing your eyes and taking in the moment. Charlie's heart broke on the inside at your words though. It hurt him to know he had to be gone so much. He knew you this is how it had to be and you supported him dearly, but he also knew how much it broke your heart for him to have to be gone. Deep down, he was more than happy you were here. Little did you know, he missed your comfort just as much as you did his.
"Well, you know I don't have a break too long, but we can spend sometime together, maybe order some takeout tonight and chill yeah?", He said, pulling back to look at you again. You nodded your head slightly and stepped out of his arms a little more, giving more friendly like space. "Yeah that'll be grand," You joked, referencing back to one of his other characters he plays. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he hugged you once more.
After spending a little time eating at a cafe on the corner, you spent the remainder of the day just sight seeing. Not doing too much, but you wanted to find something to do since Charlie had to film. Later that night though, you walked to his apartment he had there, after he told you were it was, and knocked on the door. Opening it, you caught his eyes gazing at you a little longer than they should of, but you ignored it and stepped into his apartment.
"It's not much, but what could I say? I don't need much," He said and you laughed at that. "I mean that's true," You commented back, kicking your shoes off and dropping onto his loveseat.
"Man this couch is nice," You spoke up after some silence, cuddling more into it and Charlie chuckled at you. "I agree with you there," He replied as he was typing away at his phone, standing up in the kitchen.
Walking over to the couch, he moved your feet, plopping down with a sigh.
"Hard day love?", You asked with slight concern in your voice and he nodded.
"Better now that you're here though," He said smiling and picked up his phone again. You blushed at his words and tried to hide your face by looking into the distance of the small living room. 2 small book cases built into the cream colored walls as he had a small tv stand in between, flush against the wall. A small flat screen sat on top, a few dvds spread across the top. Few small paintings and posters plastered the walls across the apartment, giving a small flow of artwork. It was a comfy space to you and you quite enjoyed it, even if it was your first time here.
"You good with Chinese for takeout?", Charlie asked out of the blue and you just nodded tiredly. He already knew what you liked, so the topic wasn't much in question. Quietly turning on the tv, he glanced over, noticing your eyes starting to get heavy. Charlie knew you long enough now to know exactly what that meant. Soon you were gonna swoon into sleep.
Charlie lured the blanket that situated on the back of the couch onto your serene body. Man was he in love with you and you didn't even know it.

OHHHHH I HAVE AN IDEA
How about, Morax, Ei and Venti meeting the reader who is a god and before the Archon war broke out, they went somewere or something and took a long nap. And just now woke up.
So in short, how would the Archon Trio react to a god that slept through the entire Archon war?
You guys really like requesting archon trio lol
Also- I'm gonna write it like almost just after the war so ofc Ei will act more like Shogun and Zhongli will be his old self too.
Morax, Ei and Barbatos meeting a God who slept through archon war
Reader here is gender neutral
Morax
There was a lot on his mind, but he had no time for anything as of late. Although his face as always remained stoic, and he didn't show any signs of stress either.
That's when he came upon an odd domain. He certainly didn't see it earlier, in fact it looked rather hidden.
So he entered it without a single care, he wanted to make sure that nothing suspicious is going on so he didn't exactly explore it.
It was small and the only thing that stood out to him was a figure napping in the middle.
He approached you and recognized you. You were a God that was said to be missing. You disappeared just before the war and now he had found you here. Perhaps you were here for all those years?
Then, he had no time to wonder as you woke up. When you noticed him, you greeted him. While he didn't ask about anything regarding your situation, he had greeted you as well.
He figured it wasn't his business as to why you were here. And since everything was okay, he decided to leave.
You didn't plan on sleeping more so you joined him as the two of you got out of there.
You noticed a lot of changes and eventually asked what happened to everything around Liyue.
He bluntly said without much detail about the war. He wasn't surprised you missed it now that he saw what he saw.
And while he did envy you, he simply didn't care enough to have any opinions of you.
You just happened to take a long nap before the war began. It wasn't really planned on your part and nobody even looked for you. At least nobody he knew didn't.
He didn't offer to help you adjust but if you wanted to know what happened with more detail he'd tell you the story.
He'd appreciate it though if you could wait a moment... After all he needs to settle few things here and there.
If you're willing to accompany him, then by all means. He could answer your questions when he has time.
But he wasn't anyhow friendly towards you. His responses to your questions were short. He didn't look very pleased with your company either.
Ei
As the war ended she felt nothing but emptiness. Before closing herself in though, she went on a walk.
She had no idea herself why she was doing it but her legs carried her on their own. Perhaps she just needed a moment to collect herself and the peaceful outside was just enough for it to be possible.
Then she heard an unusual sound. As she looked for the source she found a small cave.
Although it wasn't any of her business her curiosity made her enter.
As she looked around it was near impossible to not notice you sleeping in the middle of everything.
She didn't really recognize you so she immediately prepared herself for a possible fight.
But before she decided to strike she asked you to identify yourself. Her loud voice caused you to wake up and she ended up having to repeat herself.
As you explained your situation to her she didn't believe you. Not because she found that scenario impossible, but because she didn't trust you.
But since she had no reason to strike you down, just this once she put away her weapon and left without another word.
If you decided to follow her around she simply ignored you at first. She of course stayed on her guard and was ready to protect herself from you should she have to do so.
As you walked in silence she started thinking how much you've missed if your story is really true. Not that it was a bad thing. In fact she wished none of this even happened.
Then again she was sure what she'll do the second she comes back to Inazuma city.
So after that, you didn't hear from her again.
Barbatos
Finally taking a break after the war felt amazing. He sat down with his back resting against a tree ready to fall asleep.
Of course there is still a lot to be done, but perhaps it was for the best to just let himself rest.
Before he got to close his eyes he saw flickering light and of course he decided to check it.
It lead him to a cave. The light turned out to reflect on a few offerings your followers left you before your slumber.
You were gone for so long, nobody visited you anymore since nobody knew where you were.
But to think that you've actually slept through war? Especially one as brutal. No sound from outside was enough to wake you it seems.
He left the cave as he had decided to let you sleep. Before he left however you managed to wake up.
You didn't recognize him, but of course that's because last time you saw him he was smaller... And completely different in general...
He greeted you and re-introduced himself. After that you had a friendly chat.
You ended up staying in the cave for a while as you caught up with what was happening during your sleep.
Barbatos had a really interesting way of describing the history to you... But it didn't stop you from having mixed feelings due to the war you slept through.
But from that point, he helped you adjust to the new world. It wasn't hard but he ended up looking for excuses to talk to you anyways.

Characters:
Kyla - the curly one
Oliver - the ghost
Carl - the rude one
Abi (Carl's baby) - the new one
Gloria - the mean one
Wilfred - the lamb
Everyone was getting their things together to leave class when Kyla's phone chimed and she literally couldn't believe whose vlog she was watching and more importantly - where. She was like 'Oliver I didn’t know you transferred to this school. This is going to be the best last week of school ever!'
That's when Gloria got involved and thought 'I’m going to hook them up because their perfect for each other and I’ve been dying to play match maker with some people.' Kyla did not like this and she immediately asked Gloria to stop. This concerned Gloria. On her walk home from school she went over and over in her head about all the ways things could’ve gone differently and how she could go back in time and somehow have a better outcome. 'It doesn't help that I can't think straight', Thought Gloria. "If I just came out of the closet, maybe I could clear my head and see what made Kyla so upset... Then again' she thought, 'If I just came out of the closet, a whole lot of things in my past would've planned out better"
*ding*
Suddenly Gloria was interrupted in the middle of this thought process because Carl texted her a picture of his baby out of the blue:
'at the pirate ship, loving life, wish the same for you too'
This was unexpected because she had no idea Carl would reveal the gender of him and his wife's new baby so soon but after that and for a while, everyone at school seemed to be doing great. Kyla had a reason to laugh again, Gloria had a new challenge, Carl and Abi were beaming, and it all seemed to be tied together with Oliver being at school with them. Everything was filtered with an air of new beginnings and although things weren't perfect, everybody felt like at least they were going somewhere.
At this time, it was hard not to notice a strangeness in the air. Something... unsettling... everyone had reasons to be happy. They actually, for all intents and purposes were happy, then why did they all possess an energy that left them constantly on edge... waiting for the other shoe to drop... or whatever?
Unfortunately. They got their answer.
*Earlier that day*
The guy in the seat next to Fred wouldn't stop tapping his pencil. He could barely see through his long withered hair and even if he could, he was so tired, his eyes would just gloss over everything in a watery haze. He counted the minutes on the clock until class was over. It didn't matter. All he was going to do when he got home was sleep anyway and he normally slept in class too. Fred knew our gang but he looked at them from a place that felt distant and unless they called him over to talk to them, he remained at his desk these days. At this point he'd completely forgotten about two grades earlier at his glow light birthday party. Literally everyone was there. At least that's what it felt like. In reality it was just this small group of five - soon to be six but when I tell you, Fred did not remember these days at all. I mean it. Whatever happened to Fred must've been so bad that it completely overwrote his memories because he looked back on those days like they were light-years behind him, not just two summers ago.
*beep*
The class bell exasperated Fred's already pressing headache and he heard Kyla call out in excitement from across the room. He liked to hear Kyla was happy but he heard it as if it were in a far off world apart from his own, like a T.V. screen he wasn't a part of. Again - didn't make sense. They're all friends. Why didn't he just act like he was a part of that? But he had made up his mind long ago. Nobody was going to change it. He said goodbye to only two. He said, he wanted to go 'home', where his real mother and father were, but none of us really know what that really means...
In his words, the same school they all went to… the one that left most students brimming with the light of possibility, he claims that the same school; “broke him”. How could, completely normal coming of age experiences, somehow have, not only, surpassed Fred but even escalated to levels of suicide while the entire class was ignorant to what he was going through? Let’s find out.
I think Fred probably had an abuser who put him in another head space and although he doesn't remember it at the time, I think Fred probably did battle his abuser a lot... try to keep his world 'alive' but eventually he gets worn down... he got stuck in their head space, the abusers. So much, he couldn’t get back to the regular problems him and his friends were used to having. They convinced him these kinds of problems weren’t real - and when he couldn't, Fred's abuser sent seven people to follow after Fred to trick him into thinking everyone, including his friends, also felt that way about 'his world' and why he should end it. They made him feel isolated from everyone. So while people at school were going through unique and formative challenges, he was somehow in a different world altogether... I guess the only way to describe it is this: The reasons why he committed suicide weren’t really his reasons, They were reasons somebody else made up which beforehand, he really didn't care about either way. He was taught to feel and think in a way that made him look at himself as being worthless and all the while, he was punished for paying attention to his very real problems that would've been very manageable and make him feel better and worthwhile and were things he would've ordinarily been able to connect with his friends with about also.
O.k. so that's basically it from what I got about Carl + Abi at the pirate ship... which is a-whole-nother story <3 <3 <3 Stay safe in this hellhole and I'll see you soon!

Akutagawa and Handcuffs
Bad Luck
MDNI
Tumblr media
Ryunosuke Akutagawa allowed himself to do many things but letting himself to fall to his foolish needs was not normally one of them. Cat like eyes filled him with either unease or want he wasn't sure but the way her body pressed against his and her lips left marks on his skin he felt himself fall further into bliss. Her nails seems to cut into his chest as she shuddered above him. He tugged his hands still bound by the silver cuffs to her wooden frame. The cuffs he found earlier were police grade and that's when he found out~ That the only downside to his neighbour is that she's a cop.
Earlier in the evening they'd seen each other at a bar, both tired and stressed after a long day of work. Neither expected to end up in her apartment- however he would rather not have his sister catch him with their quiet neighbour. He admits he never expected her to be a cop either only seeing the badge when she dropped it on the bench with her keys.
"A cop?" He almost thought it would sober him up.
"Got a problem?" She asked the ghost of a smirk on her lips.
"I suppose not- do you plan to arrest me?"
He meant it as a dry joke, he's sure he heard her chuckle but she brought out the silver handcuffs from her belt and grinned.
"Pick a safe word. Let's have some fun mafioso."
Really that statement should have sobered him up yet he still found himself in her bed, a pout on her lips as her fingers trailed his pale skin. She interrogated him, questions like did he like her touch, should she do more, what could he do to her and what will he do if she takes off the cuffs.
He hated to admit the excitement he felt as she took full control something he never thought he'd allow. He loathed the way her skin felt, soft and warm. Loathed the way she toyed with him, with her hands and her mouth- yet he couldn't stop himself from wanting more. He'd laughed earlier at the mention of him needing a safe word but now that he could barely see her golden eyes beneath silky ebony locks he could see why she suggested it. She was alluring and almost cat like. She seemed untouchable and innocent for so long that he wouldn't have ever expected this of Etsuko- the cat like arches of her back and pointed teeth the grazed his most sensitive of parts was driving him crazy.
He felt almost dumb when she was finished with him, sitting on his spasmodic stomach and leaning over to remove her handcuffs. She looked down and admired him- he felt like an animal in a cage as she traced all the pretty marks she left on his skin while he barely could keep his tongue in his mouth. She lent down, her mouth grazing his ear.
"You look so pretty like this."
Her breathy laugh sent shiver down his spine. His arms dropped down hands resting on her thighs that sat either side of his waist.
"I could say the same for you."
"Are you sure you wanna say that since I just ruined you till you were dumb?" His face flushed.
"Shut-up."
"Aww are you embarrassed Ryu?"
"N-no... just don't tell anyone."
"Won't have to the marks I left are telling enough." She rolled off of him his eyes trailing her toned tanned body as she did. "You staying or going home?"
"What would you rather?"
"I don't really care... you a snuggle bug after or?"
"I should go." Akutagawa was quick to add. She laughed a little watching as he shakily stood to change and leave.
"See you round neighbour." She said.
"See you around Etsuko."
He won't admit it but he thought about her touch more than he wanted and he's never been more grateful for the high collar and cravat he typically wore because she really went to town- still Mori managed to notice. Mori noticed and brought it up.
Higuchi went into a hysteric.
"Poor Akutagawa was with such a savage! Your poor skin has been marred with bruising!"
"Akutagawa got laid? Man I didn't know you could." Chuuya joked offhandedly.
"Of course sir could do so he's very handsome."
"Yet it clearly wasn't you he slept with." Tachihara snickered.
"Etsuko isn't a savage-"
"First name basis?" Higuchi spluttered.
"OUR FUCKING NEIGHBOUR!" Gin yelled. Everyone turned to her... "What? I can yell."
"Yes our neighbour can we leave this alone now I have a mission to be on." Akutagawa made his way to the door.
"She's a cop." He stopped.
"Yeah I found out last night Gin."
"How?" Chuuya asked.
"She pulled out handcuffs." He said as he exited.
He could hear the room burst out in what could be gasps, crying or laughter.
Really though did they need to talk about his sex life at work?
Maybe he should have stolen some of Gin's concealer- though he didn't see the bruise peeking out from his collar... what an eventful day.
It became more eventful when both Akutagawa's arrived home the same time as the detective she seemed tired, her hair was messy and falling from its ponytail. She offered a quick wave as she opened her door. He wouldn't lie and say he wasn't staring at her ass like a poor man- but finally seeing the badge she carried he realised he needed to ask a question.
What side was she on?

Paper Flowers: Everyone falls
But it’s getting up that matters.
People try their best. And sometimes that isn’t enough. But that doesn’t mean one should give up. This week Thomas had a bad night and tensions rose high. Join me in the morning after.
And with the fanders a little pick me up was just what the doctor ordered.
Tumblr media
As usual Virgil woke up to Princey singing at the top of his lungs.
This morning's opening number was 'how far I'll go,' from Moana.
Virgil sighed. Today was going to be a long day. He'd expected as much. After yesterday...
Thomas had gone out with Joan to a party. There'd been a really cute guy. It had been fun and he was charming, a fellow actor even. Things were going so well... until, somehow, they had started talking about social media... YouTube and vine among them. This guy did not like the creator community. And he was very vocal about it. Something about attention seeking talentless idiots giving theater a bad name.
Luckily they made a clean getaway. Roman had played it off last night until he knocked at Virgil's backdoor.
Virgil hadn't needed an explanation. He'd gathered his first aid kit and came into the meadow to tend to Roman's injuries. Roman hadn't wanted to talk last night, so Virgil hadn't pushed him. Hadn't even made him promise to go to Patton if he wasn't feeling better in the morning. Roman usually didn't mind letting Patton look after him, but something told Virgil that he'd come to him for a reason.
He looked at himself in the mirror. "Let's get this over with."
He made his way downstairs for breakfast. He was the first to arrive. Aside from Patton that is.
"Virgil! You're up!" Clearly seeing Virgil was not what Patton expected first thing in the morning.
"Didn't have any other choice with Princey belting Moana in the next room," he grumbled.
Patton visibly relaxed at that. "Roman's singing... good. That's good."
Virgil was pretty sure he was the only one who ever heard Roman sing in his room. He didn't know if it was his heightened senses or something else, but no one ever seemed to complain about it. He'd never confronted Princey with it. First because he was sure Roman would sing even louder the next morning out of spite, and now because he kind of liked hearing a friendly voice first thing in the morning.
Virgil huffed and mumbled something about a bad night as he made himself a cup of chamomile, he needed to calm himself down. He did not like being here this early. Patton was too chipper in general and there was no one to distract him now.
"How did you sleep anxiety?" There it was.
The question, which normally came so easily when directed at anyone else was loaded with tension.
Virgil decided to stick with a shrug. Hoping that would be enough to let Patton feel like he'd met his quota of showing interest in him today. The answer was complicated. He'd been exhausted by the time he was done panicking last night. Especially since he'd tried not to show Princey too much of his worries while patching him up. He was having a rough enough time.
So once he did fall asleep he slept like the dead so to speak. It just took ages to get there.
Once his cup was in his hand he stalked to his seat he got some cereal and started eating. He could feel Patton struggle with something.
"I can practically hear you thinking. If you have something to say, just say it," he huffed, not looking up.
He heard a deep intake of breath.
"You were a bit too hard on Thomas last night."
Of course. Well at least he wasn't tiptoeing around him anymore. Before Patton dragged him to dinner that first time he would be so extremely careful when telling him to soften up. Like he was going to attack him if he said the wrong thing.
"We've established that I do what I do and don't care if you like it or not. Thomas needed to consider these things. You might've wanted him to forget that conversation ever happened but that isn't how real life works," he stated. Thomas had to be aware people thought those things to not get as hurt by meeting someone like that again. Pretending that if was a fluke and didn't matter was not right.
"Good morning Patton... Anxiety. Unusual to see you at the breakfast table,” Logan greeted calmly as he, made his way to the tea kettle. Virgil jumped at the chance to change the topic.
"Am I seriously the only one who heard Princey perform for his teddy bears this morning or what?" Virgil groaned. Logan cocked his head curiously. "Interesting... do you often hear things we do in private?" What? Where did that come from?
"I'm not eavesdropping! I literally woke up from the noise!" he seethed. He knew they didn't like him but did they have to assume everything he said or did had malicious intent?
Logan simply finished making his tea and toast before sitting down.
"Apologies that was perhaps not properly phrased. I just meant to ask if this was a first time or if your hearing simply automatically bypasses the barriers between the rooms all the time."
Oh, Virgil relaxed at that. Log
Oh. Virgil relaxed a little embarrassed he made such a big deal over it. Great job anxiety. Just another reason they would never truly accept you as s friend. Not that he was hoping for that. He was fine. He shrugged. "Princey sings every morning. Sometimes I hear typing from your room." Understatement. It sounded like the keys were about to be chattered under Logan's speed and force whenever he heard it.
"And..." Suddenly he changed his mind, this was all probably really private. He was anxiety. He figured he picked up Princey's singing in the morning no matter what mood he was in because part of him was listening for any noises whether in the real world or Thomas' mind. But the rest… that might be them under stress and he shouldn't expose any of them like that without permission. But asking Pat's permission now would prove he cared and it would out the fact that Patton was hiding stuff.  "Just stuff," he shrugged dismissively getting back to his cereal.
Logan did not get the hint. "I see... would you..."
"Can we keep the third degree for some other time? I'm really not in the mood!" he groaned.
And just then the whole reason he was subjecting himself to this came in. With a smile plastered on his face and a grand gesture. "Good...!"
"No!”Vigrgil exclaimed turning to Roman, hiding his face from the others allowing him a chance to check him over. He seemed alright. But just to be safe. “Especially you! Just shut up! I don't want to hear another word this morning! I came down so I wouldn't have to deal with anyone trying to drag me down for family breakfast or whatever. So let's just eat in freaking silence alright!?" He shouted. He wasn't really that upset. But Princey might still not be up for Patton fussing over him. So Virgil hoped that for once Patton being scared of upsetting him came through in a good way.
“If you insist on making noise, hum or something. Just so long as you shut up for once!” And with that Virgil sat back down and started eating.
He could hear Patton ready himself for a reprimand but it didn't come. He assumed either Logan or Roman had stopped him. Roman sat down and hummed ‘Poor unfortunate souls'. A silent acknowledgment of what Virgil had done.
Breakfast was silent, and Virgil made sure to eat slow enough for Roman to be done before him so he could make a clean getaway. Logan finished first and left without a word.
Roman was next and went straight to the field. Virgil was a little happy to feel his key vibrate in an almost melodious rhythm. Roman's way of inviting him to hang out if and when he felt like it.
He finished his tea and got up. Planning to go straight to the meadow and check prince over. But Patton had other plans.
“Anxiety we need to talk.” Quite possibly one of the worst thing to say to literal anxiety, but okay.
“I feel like I made it clear that we were done. I don’t tell you how to do your thing. So you should do me the same favor,” he huffed before starting to walk away.
“Why didn't you answer Logan's question earlier?” The moral side blurted out.
Virgil, paused, he hadn't expected that. He didn't let that ruin his devil may care act though.  “Didn't feel like it,” he shrugged.
“If that was all, I have to go and contemplate the futility of our existence,” he drawled with a salute.
He hadn't even fully turned around yet before Patton spoke again. Rushed as if trying to get it out before he could think about it. “Did you hear?”
Virgil froze. He knew what Patton probably wanted to remain secret above all else. What he might've worried Virgil overheard with his heightened senses.
He'd almost checked in on him last night, but then realized Patton wouldn't want assurance from him of all sides . What could he even say?
Logan was out too, and Roman was in no shape to take on another side’s troubles.
“Depends…” he turned back to face Patton his face still carefully controlled though he allowed himself to be sincere. “Do you like…” Ugh. He was going to kill Roman for hammering on about giving the others a chance. “Want to talk about it, or something?”
Patton looked surprised. He was silent for a moment, like he was actually considering it.
But Virgil could see how uncomfortable Patton was. Of course. Of course he didn't want to talk about it. Not to Anxiety at least. He hated how much that hurt. What did he expect?
“Then I guess I have no clue what you mean,” Virgil continued casually as he disappeared up the stairs. Not even waiting to get through his room before opening a door with his key. It was risky he knew, but he needed to be somewhere no one could bother him.
“Virgil, you came.” No one except Princey. But he was a special case. Virgil smirked at Roman as he walked over to sit beside him. The relief in Roman's voice and face was unmistakable.
“Of course I did idiot. You didn’t think I was actually mad at you right? We've had enough fights for you to know the difference I’d say,” he teased as he leaned back a little to study the clouds.
“Yeah, I just… I would have understood if you really needed a break. I know eating with us can be stressful, and I left you by yourself…” Virgil sighed, knowing what princey was getting at.
“How are you?” he asked instead glancing at the royal by his side. Trying to spot any sign of his injuries bothering him.
Roman sighed and rolled his eyes. “I’m fine. I took of the bandages this morning and they didn’t need replacing. But thank. Not having to pretend everything was perfectly fine this morning… I needed that. How did you know?” Roman wondered, allowing himself to be distracted for a moment.
“You only sing ‘I want’ songs and power ballads first thing in the morning when you are really down. I was honestly relieved it wasn’t ‘Go the distance’ or ‘Defying gravity’. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done then.” Not letting Princey force himself to put on a show during breakfast for the others was one thing. But making him stay in bed would be tricky to pull off without letting the others in on what he was doing.
“You… Hear me sing… And you know my mood by what songs I pick?”
Roman sounded moved for some reason.
“Yeah, I think it has to do with being on alert in the morning or something. And I can hear you the others in your rooms when you guys are… Anxious I guess. Logan was a nightmare during finals,” he jests.
“And I learned your mood playlist because it was useful to know when to avoid you and when I could push your buttons a little. I just use my knowledge for good now I guess.”
Roman gave him a playful push. “Aw, don’t lie. You were secretly worried about me when I sang my sad Roman Playlists,” he teased.
Virgil just rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”
“Patton didn’t give you a hard time over this did he? Because I can talk to him later and get him to lay off, I can make an excuse…”
Virgil waved him off. “I’d never let you straight up lie to Patton for me Ro. You know that. And. He just… I let it slip that I heard you singing in your room. You know, to make them think all is fine and dandy. And Logan pointed out that we’re not supposed to hear what happens in each other’s rooms and wondered if I overheard stuff more often. I dodged the question and Patton wanted to know why. Wanted to know what I heard from his room.” It wasn’t exactly what was said but Patton was allowed choose who else knew how badly last night had upset him. Plus Roman would feel guilty if he knew. Virgil curled in on himself and stared ahead as he remembered how the conversation had ended.
“I… Tried to offer to listen if there was something he needed to vent about or something.” He averted his gaze, he didn’t want to even catch a glimpse of Roman’s pity. “Didn’t go well. Not that I expected him to open up to me of all sides. But… I don’t know…”
“It hurts none the less,” Roman said empathically. Virgil chanced a glance and was relieved his friend seemed understanding instead of sorry.
He relaxed a little. “Yeah…” he admitted.
He expected Roman to come to Patton’s defense. To explain why the moral side acted that way, and how good his intentions were.
But instead. “I’m proud of you for trying though. I know that wasn’t easy for you.”
Virgil chuckled. “Thanks,” he allowed.
They sat in comfortable silence for a while.
“Wanna do each other’s nails while we brainstorm something fun for Thomas to do to give him a boost?” Virgil suggested casually after a while.
Roman shot up and ran to his room to get his stuff. Virgil couldn’t help but laugh. That was a yes.
Today was awful. Everything just insisted on going wrong!
You let yourself fall on your bed and pick up your phone hoping to find some kind of escape.
You see a new video from Thomas Sanders. Oh, those are usually funny. Maybe it’ll be a prank or a storytime…
You tap the video and see Thomas pointing at the camera.
“Hey you!” The camera goes up and down and shows the prince smiling at you.
“You gorgeous human being!” he declares grandly. Up and down it goes and the teacher character is looking at you with arms crossed and his head cocked a proud smile on his face.
“You are so smart,” he states with certainty.
This time the camera returns to the dad character his arms close to his chest hands balled in fists near his face, huge goofy grin on his face.
“You are unique!”
And then sleep! Looking like he’s taping in the middle of a party. “Take a nap gurl! You deserve it!”
And lastly the nemesis. He too has his arms folded in front of him but he looks at you with a strange sort of stern yet gentle look.
“You deserve love and respect. No matter what others say,” he tells you seriously.
And damn it. Why did that mean so much!? Maybe just because you kind of needed to hear that right now. Maybe you will have a quick nap.
But not before liking and sharing. Even sending it to a few friends to make them smile.

Too drunk to fuck pt. 5
Part 1 | Previous
Tumblr media
A.N 1: it really took me all this time to get my shit together and bring you content, I'm sorry about that but let's get back to where we left it.
Mom and dad weren't really impressed by Mark. Although your dad didn't dispice him, he thought he was just a dumb boy playing, and he didn't want you to fall for him, truth be told, you didn't want that either. But on the other hand, your mother said she saw "something special" in him; you knew immediately what she meant. When someone finally looked through his bad boy act, Mark Lee was a caring person, a very creative guy, and an amazing friend, or so you thought.
Despite the warning of your parents about not going out, when Jaemin picked you up you rushed to his car, completely ignoring whatever they were saying, and forgetting your keys and phone charger, but seeing Jaemin smiling when he saw you made you ignore this.
“Hey, there's been a change in our plans, you still in?” he looked almost worried, he was nervous and blushing.
“Well I'm already grounded so I'm in, I guess” he laughed and went to open the door for you.
After driving for some minutes, he finally spoke again.
“So I actually have to go shopping and I figured you could help me to buy, you know the right things”
“Ooh, shopping. Well I guess I can do it, what are we looking for?”
When you arrived to the mall and he parked, he helped you out of the car again and started waking holding your hand.
“Well, you see, it's Jeno's birthday and I totally forgot to plan something cool, so Renjun is busy, Mark is out of town and Jisung and Chenle are still babies and not coming, again” He spoke like he was feeling really guilty about it, you knew already that Jeno was his best friend, and you could only imagine how bad they would both feel.
“So, what are you thinking about? Shall we buy him a cool gift or something simple and maybe order something to eat?”
You barely knew Jeno. You knew he was sweet and everything, but you didn't know anything about him, so it was hard to give Jaemin some advice.
“Well, I've been saving some cash, it was supposed to go to an important cause but this is probably very much worth it”
You walked for hours finding a perfect outfit, he bought Jeno expensive shoes, jeans, a shirt, and even a tie. Then he made you pick a watch, that got engraved a corny quote that Jaemin insisted on getting. You wondered where all that money came from, and when you got back to his car, he explained you, perhaps noticing you were curious.
“I was a dealer at school for some time, okay? I know it's not a good thing to do but it pays well”
He was pissed, but you knew you couldn't blame him, he wanted money and when you're young, there are very little things to can do to get it.
“That's alright, it's your savings after all” you tried to show him you weren't judging him
He stopped at the supermarket.
“Y/N, do you think we're bad people, is that why you hang out with us?”
“No, Jaemin. I think you all are funny, and for the record, I «hang out with you» because you spoke to me first. Do you think I'm dumb, is that why you hang out with me?”
He put in the cart vegetables and meat, he also bought a bottle of wine and cigarettes.
“I don't think you're dumb, I think you are hot”
Maybe he spoke too loud, because the lady at the check out looked at him as if he just said the dumbest thing she ever heard (which he did).
“That's fucking gross”
“I'm kidding, okay, sorry”
He payed and drove to Jeno's place. You still didn't know what was his plan, but you went with the flow.
He called Jeno and told him to get ready for dinner, and that he was bringing him some cake. Jeno, on the speaker, sounded really excited and it made your heart melt when he said he wasn't expecting that. When you arrived, Jaemin honked and parked, getting everything out of the trunk. Jeno came out excited and smiling, he was very happy about his best friend coming over in his birthday, even when he decided to bring basically a stranger and not the rest of his friends.
“Hello Y/N, I wasn't expecting you, I'm so glad you came”
You wished him a happy birthday, and hugged him. He was like a puppy, he hugged you back and thanked both of you for making him some company on his birthday.
“The boys called earlier, I figured no one would come over, I'm surprised you did”
Jaemin swallowed and proceeded to explain that his gift was a fancy date with a fancy outfit with his un-fancy friends. Jeno loved the idea, and as soon as Jaemin gave him the clothes, he ran to his room to get changed. Meanwhile, you and Jaemin cooked with the help of the internet, astonished that he didn't burn down the place.
Dinner was amazing, they shared all of their memories together and you learned why they loved each other so much, you laughed and got to know them better. You didn't notice when your phone died, so when they said it was 10 p.m, you asked Jaemin to give you a ride back home. You said your goodbyes to Jeno and he thanked you for spending your day with him. You thanked him for making you feel welcomed.
The drive back home was full of Jaemin thanking you for your help and for making Jeno happy, since he really thought you were cool and enjoyed your company after you met them. He stopped suddenly some blocks away from your house, and turned to you.
“I know I shouldn't say this, Y/N, but after spending the day with you, I know I definitely like you” you were speechless. You knew Jaemin was a flirt, so you allowed it, but you never thought he meant anything of what he said, Mark. It seemed like no matter what you did or where you were, everything went back to Mark.
Still too shocked to say something back, you gave everything a second thought. Mark was cool, he was attractive and whatever, but he'd never do anything like this with you. Jaemin was funny, and sweet, and apparently not afraid of showing what he felt and expressing his emotions. Jaemin figured that the only way of trying to get a response from you was making a move, and so he did. He held your hand between his, and turned your head so you'd look at him. You felt like you were blushing and he smiled. His left hand went to your cheek, while the right one kept caressing your palm. His lips were getting closer to yours, and just as he was almost kissing you, his phone rang like crazy. You told him to pick it up, so he put it on the speaker.
“Man, are you busy right now? I think I'm in trouble” The voice on the other line sounded so anxious, you almost failed to recognize it. But it was undeniably Mark “I really need your help”.
