A/N: Hi everyone! I just wanted to talk to everyone. ik I've been really noncommittal with this series, but I'm going to keep working on it bc I love it, and I hope you guys continue to love it too <3 I tried to build some insight into why Az doesn't like the reader in this chapter and I hope it came across okay, as always constructive criticism/feedback is welcome!

You could say that a tentative truce was established between the two of you after your night at the arcade. So much so Alis finally permitted you to get out on the ice.

“Don’t be nervous, the two of you have come leaps and bounds since last week.” She reassures you from her spot on the stands. “We’re gonna start with some basics, and then we work our way up to the lifts just like in the studio.” You shoot Azriel a nervous glare and he tries his best to send you a reassuring look.

Even though you still feel like you’re walking on eggshells around him, it’s almost nice being around him sometimes.

Reluctantly, Az has gotten used to your relentless positivity. Even if he can still hear your voice echo in his head sometimes.

It happened when you were thirteen, and it was a stupid comment he wasn’t even meant to hear. He has tried to put it behind him so many times, but every time he looked at you it popped up in the corner of his mind like a buzzing fly. Reflexively his hands tucked in the pockets of his sweatpants as you skated up to him with your sparkly eyes and sunshiney smile. The version of you from years ago scatters like ash in the wind as Az takes you in, amusement lighting in his eyes as he takes in your hot pink leg warmers.

“Is this an 80s workout video?” He chuckles and he likes the way your eyebrows furrow in false outrage.

“For your information, they keep my feet super warm so don’t come crying to me when you’re freezing.” You poke him in the chest and he laughs. It feels nice, he thinks, to simply exist around you without hostility.

The figure skates still feel tight on his feet, but practice is mostly uneventful after that. Azriel even manages to safely get you off the ground without losing his balance.

“Great work!” Alis actually seems proud for a moment. “I need you two to stay for a moment so you can try on your costumes.” Azriel looks horrified at the thought of him having to wear leggings, but something cold thaws in his chest when he sees your excitement. You had to throw your old costume away after Lucien’s accident, the fabric was permanently stained red. Az goes first. His costume is simple, a black shirt and leggings with bands of blue around his wrists and chest. You try to put a lid on your bubbling laughter when Az comes out of the changing room, but it still boils over even as Az shoots you a murderous glare. Your dress matches the blue on his costume, with lace cutouts that expose your collar bones, and delicate fabric that flows like water around your upper thighs. The whole thing is delicately studded with blue and silver rhinestones like you wrapped yourself in the night sky. Azriel briefly feels like the air is sucked out of his lungs as he watches you examine yourself in the mirror.

“Well, what do you think?” You twirl once for effect scattering stardust in your wake. “It’s not so bad is it?”

“No,” Azriel coughs around a closing throat. “Not bad at all.” You nod, sending him a puzzling look. The two of you change back into your normal clothes and bid Alis goodnight before walking to your cars.

“We’re still on tonight for bowling with Rhys and Cas right?” You ask rocking back on the balls of your feet.

“Absolutely.” He agrees.

“There’s actually something I wanted to ask you about,” You start right before you’re about to split for your cars. Azriel nods at you to continue. “Lucien wanted to know if he could come tonight, he really needs to get out of the house, so he’ll be there too.”

“Alright.” Az answers “See you later.” he tucks his hands in his hoodie pocket again before walking to his own car.

Lucien somehow successfully gets into the passenger seat of your car casted foot and all. You didn’t realize how much you missed him until you were driving around like you always did, singing along badly and loudly to your driving playlist. Eventually, you pull up infront of the bowling alley, bright neon lights bouncing off of the hood of your car. You help Lucien out of the seat, handing him his crutches and slowly walking into the bowling alley. Rhys, Cassian, and Azriel are already inside having claimed a booth and a lane in the back corner. Cas greets you joyfully scooping you up and twirling you around immediately, he also claps Lucien on the shoulder and you’re grateful that at least someone is making an effort to make him feel included. Rhys ordered you nachos and a drink and got Lucien a soft pretzel immediately chatting up a storm about their shared business communication class. Az hasn’t even said hello to you, even though this is supposed to be one of your bonding experiences, he just gave the both of you a noncommittal head nod and shoveled pizza in his mouth. You try not to outwardly sigh because you thought you were making progress, you thought you were past this.

You thought you were almost friends.

Attempting to stomp down the flash of hurt you send him a tight-lipped smile and a nod in return. This is Lucien’s first night out since his accident, so you will remain positive for his sake.

Bowling continues uneventfully after that. Azriel and Cas are seemingly in a heated competition over this bowling match, and you and Rhys are playing much less committedly. Rhys has been flirting with the girl behind the counter for the past fifteen minutes, and you had been half-heartedly throwing your ball down the lane when it was your turn.

Lucien had been a good cheerleader from his spot in the booth, but you weren’t very concerned about the game, content to sip on the slushy you bought. The two of you are in the middle of a very animated conversation when Cassian calls your name, coming behind you and looping his arms around your shoulders.

“Are you coming to the victory party this Saturday after the game?” He drawls, glancing at Azriel out of the corner of his eye. “I would invite you to Vanserra, but-” Cassian glances at Lucien’s casted leg but the red-head simply shrugs.

“No offense taken here.” Lucien raises his hands in mock surrender, “That’s not really my scene anyway.”

“Well, we are planning on crushing your brothers’ team anyway, too bad Azzy’s still benched.” Cassian croons and Azriel sends him a murderous glare from where he’s about to launch his bowling ball. “You should come, we’ll be drinking on the Smokehound tab anyhow.” It was a sort of unspoken agreement amongst some of the local university hockey teams, losers host an after-party, booze included.

“I’ll think about it.” You promise, and Cas ruffles your hair before leaving to grab his bowling ball.

You completely miss the silent daggers Azriel is sending Cassian from behind your back. He doesn’t want you anywhere near this party, and Rhys won’t be too happy about your attendance either. Cas does nothing but chuckles at him with a knowing glint in his eye that sparks his irritation. You look at him once over your shoulder, and you must mistake his glower for being directed at you because for a brief second hurt flashes across your eyes.

Something pinches in his chest and Azriel can do nothing but shove his hands in his pockets and avert his gaze to the ground.

Could you talk about your infection au? I'm invested in it and I've been thinking about it all day

YES HULLO !! i dont want to spoil anything too much and im also working on a field guide sort of thing for the different stages of infection so im gonna try not to talk about those rite neow BUT im so glad that people r enjoying it! so id been seeing these scary mlp infection things ALLL over my tik tok feed for weeks and i was like .. yanno .. itd be really silly if i made this wof .. so i spent like 3 days mulling over what i could make the infection actually BE and i almost made it like the icewing plague but like it went scary but i didnt really know how to keep going with that so then i came up with a super smart idea which turned into this😋i dont wanna say where it started yet cuz ermm lore stuff but i will say that liek in the story the infection doesnt officially have a name yet so everyones just calling it like. the sickness at jade mountain. most of the infected originated IN jade mountain with the first symptoms being noticed in moon and turtle respectively, and then with the icewing students. i cant tell you guys how they got sick bc again . lore ..... but i think that its like kinda possible to find out. but i dunno. vulture and fierceteeth are also sick. there is ONE singular factor that unites these 4 + icewings, which miight b the reason WHY they got sick.kinkajou technically SHOULD be sick but she isnt for another reason that i cant say but if you really look into wof lore then i think u can figure it out idk. the infections transmitted via saliva/blood transmission, so mainly bites. tail barbs of infected sandwings are capable of spreading the sickness. there are 4 stages (5 if you count death) and it takes around 3 to 3.5 weeks for all stages to finish,, by ep3 the sickness has been around for ~2.5 weeks. the only KNOWN cure is amputation of wherever the infected area is,, so MUCH easier in early stages, unfortunate if its on an inconvenient spot, and impossible after hives start spreading. obvi flame had to be important bc i heart flame and i was like .. wait .. hes a healer in canon ...... so that worked out perfectly !! ik that in canon liana is like one of glorys MANY bodyguards but idc shes a healer here bc ermm i said so . also liana and mango r dating but i dont think that its relevant to the plot theyre just girlfriends in my head . as of right now kinkajou and peril are the only known immune dragons, with kinkajou for reasons currently unknown and peril bc . yknow . shes on fire . glory is in close contact with ruby and both kingdoms have taken measures to notify their kingdoms; the rainforest is under a sort of lockdown with rainwings on constant patrol/lookout for outsiders entering, they accept anyone who isnt infected to stay there for refuge while the skywing kingdom is in basically total lockdown other than ruby's messengers. ruby and glory also exchange their respective kingdoms medical knowledge, with the skywings having very good technology and rainwings having an expansive knowledge on medical herbs. nobody has heard from coral- the last thing she did was call for anemone's return back to the kingdom, and once she arrived, they all went underwater and have since then cut all outside contact. the mudwings are aware of the sickness but have so far done nothing about it; moorhen has warned her subjects but thats really it. i havent really decided what the sandwings or the icewings are up to but let me tell you guys its looking really rough for the icewings . so far it looks as though royal icewings are more resilient- tundras currently sick, but the sickness seems to be progressing much slower. this was initially believed to be because of the cold, but then other icewings started getting sick, and so its believed to just be a royal thing- likely something in their genetics. icicle is also sick but shes in stage 4 .. pray for my girl guys. lynx is helping snowfall out the best she can, but with the population getting increasingly sick seemingly spontaneously, its extremely difficult and stressful. the talons have quarantined sanctuary too. ok im outta characters but ya ty 4 the support!!

disclaimer ; I've never written like romance before so forgive me lol. I write with extreme detail too so it probably gonna be the SLOWEST burn ever. also she smokes weed cuz ion fuck wit that cig shit lmfao

CHAPTER I

being a florist in tokyo isn't anything you thought you'd be finding yourself doing. though, being drawn to the sweet and naturey smell of flowers wouldn't suprise anyone who had known you before. head over heels constantly in love with all kinds of plants and flowers, from spider lilies to hydrangea, peony and flower arrangements in themselves.

you'd adjust your grip on the box cutter in your dominant hand, the vivid pink color of it mixing with the warm lighting above you, the blade swiftly and sharply cutting through the protruding thorns of the white roses, the remaining water inside would drip slightly onto the paper below the bouqet would find itself sitting inside of momentarily. a smell similar of freshly cut grass would fill your senses, and the cozy and comforting feel of the floristry – cafe place that you had recently assigned yourself to.

the smell of coffee, tea, and the baby's breath that sat to the right of you would fill the air, a rainy day with cars ever–so making light noises as their wheels splash and sputter inside of the puddles left by the rain. the annoying ding of the door would fill your ears once more, and like clock–work the all too familiar words would spill out of your mouth.

“ Welcome to Yrlissa's Flowery, How may I be of assistance? ”

as your eyes lazily drifted off the commissed bouqet that laid on the counter infront of you, your eyes would laid upon a tall lady, with a muscular yet slim figure. wispy bangs and a lacey eyepatch concealing her right eye. the rest of her thin hair contained by a black hairtie— who the hell visits a flower shop in a full black suit? Is she going to a fucking funeral ?

NOT professional thoughts. get it together!!!

the lady would approach the counter, with an almost monochromatic expression. not one emotion would appear on her face, and no body language out of the ordinary. her movements would seem almost perfected calculated, almost uncanny even, but as she grew closer the smell of the the roses and baby's breath would be replaced with the smell of marijuana.

the footsteps would come to a halt uncomfortably close to you, or maybe it would seem that way since shes near the height of a basketball player and you couldn't be any closer to a smurf, and also leaning over flowers with posture far from the best in the world– a few seconds of silence commence, the ladies eyes piercing above to read the sign. her lips parting to finally speak.

“A small espresso will do, please.”

“ would you like sugar or cream? ”

“ Surprise me. ”

the click of the box cutters blade retracting back into itself, and the clack of its placement onto the counter would follow her sentence. with your feet tapping to the cups behind you, and your body language obviously showing your nervousness, you'd swiftly grab it and draw back over to the counter near the woman.

tipping over the jug of geyser water just measuring to the line that marks a half liter. the sound of the water filling up would once again save you from extremely embarrassment from the pure awkwardness of the situation at hand.

you'd stretch your hand over and weigh out 20 grams of coffee beans, pouring them into a small tin and placing them on the miniature scale. the lady bringing a stop to the awkward silence that filled the air.

“ I take it it's relaxing to work here hm? ”

“ It's nice on it's slow days, but then there's times like valentines day, and wedding season ykno? ”

“I'd imagine.”

as a few weeks passed, the lady swiftly became a regular. almost always coming in during your shift or being there before you clock in. a name you wrote on the coffee cup almost every shift, the type of name that rolls off your tongue sweet and slick, — quanxi. another day had arrived, opening the door to yrlissa's the bell would chime as you walked in, swiftly pittering to clock in, not missing quanxi sitting in the corner of the shop, as always.

she would stay for a few hours and make nice company on slow days, an often occurrence it would be to sit and speak with her while filling out the commissions for bouqets, and other kinds of assortments. it didn't take long to realize quanxi liked more to listen than to speak.

today was october 5th. the chill in the air sweeping into the store moments after the bell on the door would ring. it didn't take long for you to learn to brace yourself against the cold on the cue of the chime. completing the same ol' sequence you'd do everyday, steaming the milk and poking holes in the puck of espresso, yet this time for yourself to warm up on the cold day.

the thick fog outside would make seeing the people and events happening outside near impossible. pouring the milk, then espresso, a drizzle of caramel and whipped cream onntop, the perfect go—to drink. the cup would warm your hands, soothing you and bringing you into relaxation with the first sip, a small breath leaving your parted lips—

the all too familiar chime would fill your ears.

bruh.

quickly stepping behind the counter to at least shield your lower half. or.. 90% of ur body bc ur a fucking smurf. srry im writing this in my perspective im fucking 5'0. the chill would still expectedly hit your face and torso, sending a small shiver up your spine. gripping the cup of coffee just a bit tighter to warm your hands once again. fluttering your lashes and squinting to keep the ice cold air out of your eyes, you'd realize who'd walked in.

“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cold.” Quanxi would say, looking back and closing the door softly behind her as not to brush more cold air inside. this time she was wearing a brown turtle-neck under her coat and long black pants. she'd take a deep breath in and pull her other hand out of her pocket.

“you're fine don't worry. at least it's not another total stranger walking in, I think I'd rot inside having to make any more small talk today.” you'd set down your coffee to start her order, placing it beside the cash register and lean on the counter with the corner digging into your palms.

“Usual?”

“Mm.”

Quanxi would approach the table near the entrance of the work space, leaving about 3-5 feet in between the two of you as you started her order. It took her a few days in the beginning but she got what she wanted down pack. a shot of espresso, mixed softly into chocolate syrup followed by warm steamed milk and whipped cream. In other words, a Caffé Mocha. with some extra chocolate.

you'd started serving quanxi in the pretty white mugs boss lady told you not to use, simply to reduce dishes. but you didn't mind washing one or two for quanxi. You'd hear the clink of her keys being placed onto the table before she'd speak.

“How's work been treating you lately? ” Quanxi would say to you, looking at you completely still with a hand propped up under her chin, but still as nonchalant as usual. It was hard to believe she was genuinely interested sometimes.

pouring the chocolate into the bottom of the cup focusedly, to make it look as pretty and perfect as can be, you'd take a second before answering. “Horrible, Actually. This guy yesterday, came in and got mad at me because I forgot to put caramel on top of his frappe. He ended up throwing it on the floor, and of course I had to clean it. ”

Quanxi's eyes would follow the way you carefully made the coffee. The way you'd twirl the cup to make sure it was evenly distributed, and the way you'd add extra for her, even though she didn't ask for it. Nor did she really like how sweet it made the drink, but to her it was an act of kindness.

"Mm."

“Oh! and thennnn I had a lady come in here with her boyfriend and I guess I was a bit too friendly with her and she pulled me to the side and basically threatened me. I'm not one for wanting a guy in general. That was actually around a week ago and she came back a few days ago an—”

the glass pot to steam the milk in would fall to the ground instantly shattering. nothing but the thought of your boss chewing you out rushes into your mind. not only is it expensive to replace, it was definitely coming out of your paycheck. Quanxi wasted no time raising out of her chair and assisting you with cleanup even before you, yourself could process what had happened.

“thank you. god my boss is gonna make me pay for this. . . " you'd say squatting down and beginning to pick up the big chunks of glass first and placing them in your palm. “I'll get it, you might get cut. ” Quanxi would take the glass from out of your hand and continue to pick up where you left off.

"are you sure? I can just get a broom or something." you'd turn away for a second to grab the broom from the back, yet once you come back you find the glass all gone, not a single piece remaining on the floor and a note on the counter, sitting placed under two 10,000 yen notes. (around 140$)

the shock would spread across your face almost in an instant. what the absolute hell? picking up the notes, you'd take the time to read the note she'd left behind.

hey guys, i feeeeel like i had to make a post to explain my update schedule to you guys because i have been super duper dead and i have some asks in my inbox about whether im alive or not (not exactly worded like that but alo\ng the lines obvs) LMAO

so i am alive (obviously) but im super super busy with school and work. i go to school 4/5 days of the week and work almost everyday until 10pm too. i amvery busy right now. i'm gonna be honest, when i can start consistently writing and updating to you guys (opposite of me dropping in here every 3 months, posting once and disappearing) will be in the summer probably. i get off of school in mid may, so hopefully when that time comes i can become more consistent.

im sorry for making yuou guys wait for such a long time + the time i do come back it's not even an update, instead it's just a dislaimer post. ik that disappointing feeling.

also going into my inbox and seeing multiple messages constantly asking for updates makes me feel guilty bc ik at this moment i cannot deliver anything to you guys and ig also just pressured in general and not in a good way, so please refrain from doing that guys </3 i do want to update i just literally can not because i have to commit to school, work, and other things BEFORE this account (unfortunate but it is the reality of life lmao)

i have not lost any motivation for writing, either. even though it may seem like it. i just need to wait until my time becomes more free aka when im out of school

if youve read all the way ty and i hope i can come back sooner rather than later.

i expected gore like in Perry's episode but that's okay. they made up fur it with that STUNNING monologue. the monologue about animal testing, someone else has to be hurt or whatever Verna said, "it didn't have to be those way. it could've happened peacefully, in a bed." "it's nothing personal. I'm sorry." i read a post about how death was gentle to all of them, gave them an option to Not die Like That, but they didn't take the chance to grow old and die peacefully and even death seems to regret it. Verna gave Camille several warnings. she didn't have to go in there. but she was so, like, in her head about exposing Victorine and all that. that she didn't heed the warnings. and she was so self centered and aggressive

the acting fur Verna was phenomenal here like when she started to go monkey or whatever <3 "she lies. she pumps us full of adrenaline to make it look like it works" the way her body language kinda changed a little bit after she jumped on the table THE MONOLOGUE ABOUT ANIMAL TESTING WAS SO GOOD I CANT GET OVER IT EHAUWJUAEJHWJEUJSUS

AND THE REVEAAALLL THE CAMERA REVEAL THE FLASH!!!!! SO GOOD

and yk i still don't understand why Camille hated Victorine. i guess ill look into that when I'm done with the series

something I'm tempted to look into is WHY TF TAMERLANE IS INTO LIKE CUCKOLDING OR WHATEVER WHWAHEUHWUAJWUEJ but i don't wanna get spoiledddd

i don't think it's exactly cuckolding though i mean that's what i thought at first but it's more like. she's projecting. onto the woman. and pretending it was her. ??????

and I'm so sad about Morrie i genuinely thought she got out safe ): they didnt show what happened to her in e1 and after Verna warned her i assumed she was gonna be fine ༼⁠;⁠´⁠༎ຶ⁠ ⁠۝ ⁠༎ຶ⁠༽ I LOVE HER I DONT WANT ANYTHING BAD TO HAPPEN TO HER ANYMORE

anyway i love this series there's always so much to unpack per episode, if people think hill House is better i wonder what hill House is like HAHAHHAHAH ik that's just subjective tho and is already enjoy house of usher a LOT bc of its deep topics related to society and shiii

volume V thoughts bc once again fusebox has got me intrigued

first of all omg wtf

I usually end up reading a few spoilers before I play bc I'm bored at work but don't wanna play the volume until I get back but I had such a busy day at work I didn't do that and wow ok I gotta avoid spoilers more often I was shook

so excess baggage was okay. like yeah makes sense we want the couples to be tense again before voting the couple superlatives thing, but also such a throwaway. (and also I talked about this in my post about last volume, but we have so many challenges in a row!! why)

since my MC did initially flirt with Oakley a lot more than Jin, I do think it's funny Oakley talks about how cool MC's secret is (like it's annoying fs but also something I've seen happen on love island to create small drama but then ultimately it's just talk so it's nice to have that happen here).

Also i was worried Oakley was gonna turn on us or flirt with us and abandon Emel, so I'm very glad he was just asking for advice. (I'm a big Oakley and Emel fan, what can I say?) I'd be okay if that led into a different storyline where you could pursue Oakley later, but with how fusebox has been making the seasons lately, once you pick you've made your choice and I do miss in for example s2 where even if you don't pick Lurik when they first become available you have a chance the next recoupling and it feels like it changes your route.

Jack is still mad at MC??

Couples game was fun. I wish fusebox formatted it so you discuss with your partner and then make a choice before everyone revealed their answers instead of people talking and explaining before the player picks their answer. Like we know the characters already, just let me pick and we can see who agrees.

I of course could never bear to see Oakley and Emel go, but I surprisingly actually missed Sophie and Jack as soon as they left but like in a me missing Allegra and Miles/Jasper when they left. Like yeah they were irritating but they brought drama and I understand where Allegra/Sophie is coming from (and I support women's wrongs lol)

Jin going through his main character of S6 arc??? No but fr I can't imagine why the public would vote him out so he's either hiding something that's gonna come out when he gets back or he was voted most popular and is gonna come back soon. I hope it's not casa because (1) that already happened in s6 and (2) I want the chance to flirt around with new characters in casa lol. I've seen a few theories around and I have no idea which is true but if I could throw in another idea which is post casa, MC is finally with a bombshell, Claudia/Theo, or a casa boy and things seem good but Jin and Luna show up together as returning islanders and MC has to choose between Jin and her current LI.

It's so interesting for drama, like ik I'm here for it. But a lot of people like loyal routes so I hope yall are doing okay

I was like half hoping we could walk out with him even though of course fusebox isn't giving us that option but like I wish he said something like hey you just got here, enjoy your time at the Villa and I'll wait out there for you no matter what happens. just to explain why MC wouldn't leave. that being said, their goodbye was so sweet.

One thing that's different in the game than the show is the number of islanders present at once, which makes sense its hard to keep track of all of them (though they've done it before in s2), and it just is weird bc now the people in the Villa are MC (single), Claudia and Theo (who don't like each other), and Emel and Oakley (only one couple).

despite my complaint about the challenge thing this is great pacing/timing for a new islander. it's just a shame the screwed over Tyler coming in so soon after MC. I can't remember if I already wrote this in my last post but I almost wish he came in with MC and got a better chance.

Even though you were just a paralegal, it seemed like you were the only one around here who did any actual work. You were looking over documents for a case, while Saul kicked back and relaxed at his desk. He must have gotten bored, because out of nowhere he blurted out.

“I want a blowjob.”

You rolled your eyes. Sure, you two had fooled around in his office on multiple occasions, but you weren’t indulging him this time. There was too much going on today, and he was distracting you. You didn’t look up from the file. “You know this client’s gonna be here in 10 minutes, right?”

You groaned, slapped the case file on the coffee table, and stood up. Part of you thought about dragging this out and leaving him blue-balled when the client came in, but you knew his game. He’d either make the client wait, or he’d keep you under the desk during the appointment. He’d get what he wanted. You trudged over to him and crawled under his desk, glaring up at him as you undid his belt.

“That’s my boy.” Saul beamed and ruffled your hair while you pulled his cock out, “And would it kill ya to smile every once in a while?”

at first I was wondering how would revali and link even be in the same group? and ik in this post you mentioned that revali probably wouldn't even be in a group, he'd be a soloist. but then I was like:

what if they were in a survival show together and they debuted in the final lineup 😵

I'm gonna be so fr I have never watched a survival show, not even i-land or boys planet, so idk how any of it works, but imo revali seems like he would be in first place throughout the show even though international fans don't like him, they're like how is he winning?? but revali is just so good (and the show is probably a little rigged since the judges have favorites, but it's not bc revali bribed them- he wants to win because he deserves it, not because of some bribery)

meanwhile, link is the fan favorite; he's charismatic and good looking, he regularly goes viral on tik tok, he does a freestyle like that one guy from bp, I think his name was woonggi? and the fans absolutely lose their mind, and link shoots up to first place. ofc revali immediately sees link as a threat, and so their (one-sided) rivalry begins (link is just vibing but revali is absolutely livid that he's second. out of 100. like that's stil reallyl good revali u can chill!!)

throughout the rest of the show the two are fighting for first place, every other voting period they've switched spots, and it's clear that they'll both make the final cut, but the real question is who's going to place first?

anyways they debut with hmm like 5 other ppl so it's 7 of them in the group (idk who though, don't ask me 😊🙏). and at first it's SO AWKWARD like revali is bitching about link every chance he gets and the managers are like.. can u pls stop. we keep having to edit the clips of you so you can maintain a somewhat respectable reputation 😭

the editors can do whatever they want, but at the dorms, revali and link are totally fighting each other, like istg whoever their leader is has to do some serious damage control every time one of them says something out of pocket.. revali starts talking abt how link shouldn't be on the team and the leader is like woahh hey let's not do that

ykw does make him stop? after a huge fight where revali definitely says some things he didn't think through (I'm not gonna say bc it hurts my heart to think abt), link storms out of the dorms, and the leader (istg I'm gonna make it teba atp) is like dude u fucked up.. go apologize to him

and revali bristles and is like why should I?? but deep down he feels super uncomfortable and guilty for this whole thing, he's like have I gotten so lost in this rivalry that this is just who I am? he doesn't voice all that but he does leave to go find link, who is predictably in their practice studio. but when he gets there, he can hear crying through the door. and when revali listens closer, he hears, "I don't know, aryll, sometimes I just feel like I don't belong here. I don't know if-" a pause, a muffled sob. "I don't know if I want to do this anymore." silence, then: "i just want to do something right for once. it's never good enough."

revali backs away from the door; he's heard enough. he goes back to the dorm and straight to his room without talking to the other members. he shouldn't have been eavesdropping. and besides, if link wants to quit the group, that's not his problem, right? at least revali will finally get the spotlight.

but the thought of link being gone, it leaves a cold feeling in his gut.

umm this got dark fast and I don't like the direction I went in.. maybe their rivalry can be more lighthearted 😊 but yes anyways revali gets this wake up call and is like ohh maybe I shouldn't be an ass! and after seeing link in a new light he gains a new respect for him. so the next day after letting link calm down and after revali gathers his thoughts, he goes to talk to link and they're able to work out their differences! just kidding 😇 it's not that easy. but their dynamic does shift, and it becomes less toxic and the bickering and friendly challenging becomes more reciprocal rather than being one-sided bullying

atp it's been a little over a year since their debut, and their fans have CLEARLy noticed the positive difference in their dynamic. so ofc the crazy delulus start making dating rumors abt them! 😦 because there's no way they could have started being so nice to each other for no reason, something definitely must have happened! the rest of the fandom is clowning the shippers like ur actually so dumb for shipping them

as time passes the two are able to look out for each other but still have a sort of friendly rivalry! my brain is running out of energy to come up with things but they're literally yoonmin from bts, like look at this compilation of them bickering and tell me that's not them🧍🏻‍♀️

fans see these interactions and go crazyyy like maybe those delulu shippers weren't so delulu after all 😦 clearly they have a way different bond than with the other members, and they're constantly acting like an old married couple with the constant back and forth over literally the tiniest things. and ppl fr start making compilation videos of all their interactions and SWEAR that there's something going on, and it's literally just.. revali and link arguing whether , or link getting revali a bottle of water on stage, or revali and link on a team together during a variety show

bickering aside, though, they would privately support each other in their own ways 🥺🥺 imagining revali staying up late at the studio to practice until his voice is raw, the other members of the group have all gone to bed in the dorms but link notices that revali isn't back yet (omg bc they were roommates??👀) and so he gets up, prepares a mug of oolong tea, and brings it to the studio for revali. he makes him take a break to rest his voice, and after much convincing, link brings revali back to the dorms and makes him go to sleep

in turn, revali — who knows how vulnerable link really is to harsh criticism — takes extra care to compliment link when he thinks he does well, and to give guidance in a more constructive way. if they have a particularly good performance, he'll tell link that, and if he notices link having trouble with a certain move or part of the song, he'll talk to him privately abt it and help link improve!

honestly this whole au is giving me serious 13 iconic yoonmin moments vibes, like imagine revali stumbling across one of these revali x link compilation videos and actually looking at the way they interact with each other and going like oh. oh.

EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THE TEEN WOLF MOVIE

bc I hate it more than I've ever hated anything in my life 😭

Allison is back from the dead and somehow stays alive by the end of the movie as if that's not unnatural af !!! Like she's a human? how is that a thing? why did they do this? I love Allison, I really do but her coming back to life and not being laid back to rest by the end of the movie was so psycho and bizarre. Idk why they made that choice but I hated it

Derek apparently had a child 15 years ago and Allison died 15 years ago so somehow he had a child in season 3? When? When would he have time to do that? He was literally with Jennifer that season 🤨 so when did he make this kid who he seemed to have always been in the life of ? the math isn't mathing. ik teen wolf math sometimes doesn't make sense but I excused it bc I like the show but since I hate this fucking movie I will not excuse it. Jeff Davis tell me how the fuck Derek somehow had a kid in season 3!?

Who is the mother of Derek's child? (We all know that Stiles is the other parent) but fr why is she not mentioned at fucking all??? like it felt so unnatural, like they were specifically talking around it or some shit. I swear Eli never even says the word mom once!! how? why do they act like she doesn't exist? at this point I'm gonna assume Derek made this child asexually through budding or some shit cus wtf

IK Dylan O didn't want to be in the movie but they didn't have to do everything in their power to pretend Stiles didn't exist. The only references to him were the Jeep and Lydia's dumb dream. It made it seem like Stiles doesn't keep up with them anymore and that they don't keep up with him, and that's including his fucking dad. It's so unnatural and ew. I'm also very sad that Kira wasn't here but ik why Arden didn't want to do it. Fuck Jeff tbh. Kira was barely mentioned also, I don't think they EVER said anything about her at all. It's giving Jeff is bitter or smth.

This movie dragged so bad, it was boring as shit and I struggled to get to the 2 hour mark. It was actually painful for me to watch . I wanted to skip through every scene basically, trying to get to SOMETHING interesting, but it was rare that anything like that was going on

Some of the style choices were weird. The clothes they had Deaton in weren't right, it didn't feel like something he'd wear at all. Also so weird to see Chris in a turtleneck, idk if he's worn one before but it looked weird. Peter ate though, I have to give them that.

WHY WOULD MASON BE A FUCKING COP? What about him screams cop? 😐 He should be working with Melissa at the hospital or doing LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE.

ok so i have this friend and i spend like literally half my school day with her and idk if weve been flirting or not. we make jokes abt like honestly really sexual things that we probably shouldnt be saying at school and theres been multiple times when our mutual friend thought we were either gonna kiss or that we were dating. shes aroace but ik that some aro people still date and that some ace people still yk wanna fuck so idk. we spend probably like 3-4 out of 7 hours a day together. we hang out before school, then like at the end of first hour (our schedules wierd) then we walk to second hour together, then we spend fourth hour, lunch, and fifth hour together, and walk to sixth hour too. i also do taekwondo and she is going to try it soon so that will be another hour at least two times a week. and i dont wanna mess up our friendship by like asking but also if she is like tryna subltly tell me something she should know better than to do that since i am impressively oblivious and rlly bad at social cues. oh and i think we almost kissed fr a few weeks ago but idk if thats js me or if it was for real yk? anyways thats my little rant.

jk theres more! i start work tmr js for a few hrs and im excited bc it seems like a good place and i think i am gonna enjoy it. plus school is almost out. theres like 18 days left i think. we almost had to do a speech for english but my teacher got it dropped, so now we have more time for the essay. also ive been actually getting better at taekwondo, obviously nowhere near as good as pretty much everyone else there since we started in december and theyve all been doing it for years. and ive been getting better at japanese, i need to get better at listening to more music in japanese though, ive been listening to music in spanish more (my first language is english, i was in spanish immersion and im working on asl and japanese on my own right now. i have a whole list of languages i want to learn some day that ill share someday) but i can order food now. i use wanikani and duolingo, and im trying out a few new apps right now. once i get better i am going to try to switch my phone to japanese, but i need to know more kanji first i think. im always open to suggestions for japanese and yk the whole thing with my friend.

Strange case of Ike Eveland and Eki Eviland

This is gonna be loosely based on the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde story bc I think Ike and Eki have that dynamic a little. I'm writing this at 3 am so this is probably gonna be shit

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-

A body, reported in the early hours of the morning, the victim repeatedly stabbed in a dark alley. Not an uncommon discovery in this part of town, however this case is a strange one. The victim was suspected to be responsible of the murder of a young girl but was cleared of all charges. The only witness in this case claims it was the local novelist, Ike Eveland, who had no relationship or connection to the victim. The chief of this case assigned Y/N with interrogating the suspect, and visiting his apartment. They had only exchanged at most a few conversations with him before, them living in the same apartment building and visiting similar places. They had to admit, Ike was a bit of an oddball. In most cases he had been very kind, asking them about their day and the like. Other times though, when Y/N tried to greet him, he was gruff and unresponsive. They climbed the long flight of stairs to his floor, and knocked twice once they reached the door.

"Excuse me, Mr Ike Eveland, I am detective Y/N L/N, I need to ask you a few questions regarding the recent murder of a Danvers Carew." Ike cracked open the door, it abruptly stopping due to the chain lock. He's an average height, with rather stylish attire. After seeing Y/N hold up their police badge, he closed the door, unlocked the chain, and guided them inside. He seemed rather anxious about being questioned, so Y/N made a small mental note to be gentle with their words. At least to his face. He led them to a small dining table, with two chairs across from each other. When the two sat, Y/N pulled out a small notepad and a pen.

"Now, Mr Eveland, do you remember what you were doing last night around the hour of 3 am?" They asked.

"Yes, I was finishing up the last chapter of a novel I've been working on, due to the deadline fast approaching I stayed up later than usual to finish it. I believe it was about 2:35 when I was done, and right after I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep."

"Is there anyone else that can attest to that?"

"Uhm, no." he looked around nervously, and he was fidgeting with his gloves.

"I see. Had you ever known the victim when he were alive?"

"No, I'd never seen him before in my life. I-I'd have no reason to kill him!"

"Nothing is definite yet, you don't have anything to worry about. I just need to report back to the chief of your responses to these questions." Y/N said, with a small smile of reassurance. They got up from the chair, with Ike following shortly after. He opened the door for them, as they stepped out they turned to him and said "Thank you for your cooperation Mr Eveland." and started walking away. "Oh, you can just call me Ike!" He shouted after them.

...

"Y/N, what have you gathered?" the chief asked, although it came out as more of a demand rather than a request. They sighed and said "Not much, he only claims to have fallen asleep at the time of 2:35 am and that he didn't have any relationship with the victim."

The chief seemed annoyed, and angrily said "I see. It's getting late, you're dismissed for the day. Y/N bowed and left the office. After gathering their belongings from the station, they checked the time. 9:08 pm. They started briskly walking back to their apartment, acutely aware of their surroundings. After some time, they noticed someone following them. Attempts to shake them off didn't appear to be working, and they were catching up to them fast. They panicked and started into a full sprint, their follower close behind them. They were soon cornered in an alley with the figure closing in. Suddenly, a figure dressed in red appeared before them, attacking the mysterious person with a blade.

"What kind of trash preys on someone who's all alone, on an empty street. I fucking hate cowards like you." The person he attacked isn't moving. He turned toward Y/N. And you, what are you doing in a place like this. The way I see it, you don't even know left or right at the moment, do you? Hehehe, well, it's a good thing I showed up." He walked toward them as he talked, sheathing his knife in one of his many belt pockets. "You're very lucky, that's a lot more than I can say for most people that run into me." Y/N collapsed on the ground out of shock. "No need to be afraid, I simply wish to get acquainted with you. Come on, let me help you up." he hoisted them up off the ground, their legs still shaking. "See, was that so hard?" He asked.

"Why did you save me?" They asked, completely bewildered.

"Well, that guy has been going on frequent killing sprees in the dead of night. I simply put an end to it. But by the looks of it, you're that person that met with Ike earlier today aren't you?" He asked, stepping closer to get a better look.

"Uh, yes, but how did you know that?" Y/N said, stepping back. Now that they got a better look at him, he looked a lot like Ike. Could they be related somehow?

"I am... aware of his activities. We share the same vessel after all. But he hasn't found out about me just yet." He said, a smug grin on his face at the thought. "I am Eki." He finished with a grandiose bow.

"Same vessel, what are you talking about? And why is your name just an anagram of Ike?" They asked, slowly starting to reach into their bag for their pepper spray. This didn't go unnoticed by Eki.

"You are quick with the questions. However I am afraid I don't know how I came to be. I've been with Ike for as long as he's been around." Y/N whipped out their pepper spray, but before they could use it Eki grabbed their arm and lifted them off their feet.

"Listen up, my patience has its limits you know. I don't wish to draw any more blood today, so I will let you off with a warning. Get back to your apartment, do not tell anyone of what happened here." He looked at them with a piercing stare as he spoke, then dropped them, holding onto their bottle. Y/N gathered their barings as fast as they could, running back to their apartment on pure adrenaline without looking back. Eki made sure they made it back alright, looking at the bottle he confiscated off them.

Hehe here's some ramblings ab my weird Groundhog Day Price au thing :) this is kinda me laying out a timeline of everything and whatever else comes to mind

Heads up: I don't think I'll ever turn this into one long cohesive fic, it'll probably just be little ficlets and then long ramble-y bits like this

Read my first post regarding this au or else you'll be lost bc I explain a lot of things from my intro that I don't exactly plan to put into in depth writing.

Intro

Cw: I love Price so much so I put him through hell <3, temporary character death, depictioms of death n violence and bodily harm, non canon timeline bc oops and fuck canon (just a bit), this is not written like a fic like the first part, so it's just me rambling, also formatting is terrible ik I'm so sorry I just needed to get this out of my system, Ghoap content

So uh timeline is funky bc I forgor ab canon and consistency and also despite the fact I've played both 2019 and mw2 multiple times I'm still dumb. N e way:

I assume that the boys aren't familiar with each other at the beginning of mw2 but price knows all of them bc he hand picked them. I assume that they haven't worked w each other b4 those events but we're throwing that out the window here bc I forgot :)

So they had one very brief mission together before the events of mw2, the one described in my little intro blurb, nothing too serious or long, not enough time for team bonding, simply something I made up for expository ab the whole Groundhog Day thing.

Also ok explaining background Ghoap w my fucky timeline bc I totally forgor I wrote some implied Ghoap:

I dug my own grave by saying I wanted to set my blurb b4 mw2 and make that mission quick and they don't even get any time to like bond properly, but we can make this work ok? Ok. I don’t see Ghost as a self sacrificing person despite the fact that he's military and it kinda comes w the job and his status as definitely dead and shit and just his kinda general disposition. I can see it if he's v close w someone but otherwise it usually isn't "practical" bc of how useful he knows he is. In this scenario though ima say that Ghost had been heavily injured in the heli wreck and knew that he wasn’t gonna get too far. Once the heli crashed, he had been the closest to Gaz and had tried to pull him out, for the sole purpose of during the time before he could tell how fond Prive was of him, and because Ghost cares deeply for Price he made an effort to rescue Gaz, that doesn't work obviously and he ends up terribly injured. Later on, once they start taking heavy fire and closer to his death Ghost realizes that he's not going to make it too far and decides that when there needs to be a sacrifice, bc he knows there will, he'll go down.

Cut to Ghost sees that Soap's ab to get fucked up and takes the shot 4 him. Soap's reaction, unlike Ghost's reasoning, is based in vague Ghoap. Soap comes to the conclusion, b4 they even get out of the heli, that the Lieutenant does not like him. Fine, he's clashed w/ COs b4, nothing new. He was hoping that since they were gonna be on this same tiny team that maybe the could be friendly but he supposed not. So imagine his shock when the man who seemed to despise him sacrifices himself for Soap. He's touched, truly, especially bc that Soap will never know that Ghost's real reasoning. That Soap believes in that moment that maybe that Ghost didn't hate him and maybe kinda really liked him but didn't show it. He beliebes that if THE Ghost sacraficed himself for Soap, that he must feel that Soap was a valuable member of the team, maybe moreso than him. That Soap is also in the middle of watching his entire team get wiped out and realizing that it's now him and Price against what feels like an entire army so his extreme emotional reaction to Ghost's death is also in part from that.

Explanation of how this Groundhog Day shit works btw:

The first time it happens is in my little intro blurb thing. Price will go through an event where any one or more of the 141 dies, and then he will be sort of sent back in time to varying amounts of time before the events happen so that he can prevent their deaths. Price can't control it obviously. How Price discerns that these aren't weird premonitions and actually events that he lived through is that he always gets sent back with some scars from whatever shit show happened. Like for example in my blurb he would come back with his palms all scarred up from the broken glass he grabbed from the window soap got tackled out of at the end. Then the events of mw2 happen ofc. There are different points throughout in which I will kill the boys so here's that death list:

Gaz- something to do with the helicopter bit, obviously, like he gets no breaks, idc if you get tired of how many heli deaths I give this man, I like it. I think everyone gets one death during mw2 events

Side note: one thing I feel like I'm having a hard time balancing is making this compelling by "killing" off the boys and traumatizing Price, and also not making the boys look more incompetent if that makes sense? Like I had three deaths drafted up for Gaz but felt it was too much?

Kate: 110% dies at one point during the whole hostage thing. Gives an extra oof to John's whole apology bit to her afterwards (ome of my fav interactions in the game tbh)

Ghost: this fucker is proving the hardest to brainstorm for tbh. Like if anyone, for any of these parts at all, wants to put in any ideas feel free to, but I just feel like the others have NDEs that I can use as deaths, but honestly I feel like Ghost is I don't want to say better than the others but there's not really a point in mw2 in which I feel like I could take inspo for a death? So ig tldr: TBD but maybe none at all and when the timeline expands to after current canon I give him smtg big to give my boy some attention?

Soap: alone, obviously. This one is more complex then the others. They're all gonna be situations in which John can do something, whether directly or indirectly to change the outcome. I think for alone John cycles through that loop for a bit, not being able to make contact with anyone in Las almas and he gets lucky that after a few cycles we get canon alone events. This will def be it's own little chapter fic drabble thing bc I have so much to say ab this and how it affects Price

Bonus soap thought: I also wanted to do Graves tank fight purely bc that's the part I had the most trouble with in my first playthrough of the game. I had to repeat that section an ungodly amt of time and shaped me into the avid Graves hater I am today. I'm digressing but n e way I decided against the tank bit bc alone was just so much more yummier in my head.

i feel like pursuit!rooster would be the easiest to get along with if ur “normal” like me. he’s fairly loyal, maybe he’s pinning after his best friend while dating another girl (everyone can’t be perfect ok), but besides that he’s pretty decent & rlly funny too! he’ll finally fuck u after 8 years of rlly sexual eye contact & soft physical touches in ur mutual best friends fiancés parents cabin too! & if u call him daddy or lieutenant it makes it even better!

mfiy!bradley seems to also be “semi” normal besides being an ashole towards girls…so overall guys (until he hooks up with their sister… *cough jake* who seemingly had no issue with bradley being a dick up until he did what he does TO EVERY GIRL to his little sister) love him!! he’s secretly a whore for u if ur rlly feminist though, at first he finds u annoying then he realizes how much he wants u to ride his dick & tell him how much of an asshole he is (while u choke him) for being sexist.

tip!rooster? def a good friend if you’ve got daddy issues. he can talk to the “younger” crowd with no attachments. gives amazing advice, however this might become an issue in the future if there’s physical attraction. no really, he has a thing for younger girls who have daddy issues & he can’t help himself bc it somehow fixes his own daddy issues.

subrosa!rooster? an absolute king. he’s friends with everyone, even old people. like literally he’ll go to a movie with a 58 year old… until he meets ur daughter & wants to fuck her…. that’s when things go south in ur relationship (i’m sorry ice. ik u love nick’s kid until u found out he was the reason ur daughter had a “sore throat so she can’t talk a lot at dinner”)

foroldtimessake!rooster is the best friend you could ask for. he’ll be ur dd AND fuck u the next morning in bed (that happens to be at ur dad’s house who also happens to be his god father). three times, twice with just his mouth/fingers. what an amazing friend wow! no but fr he’s such a sweetheart, he will fuck u like a whore but then treat u like a princess. what a king.

now nervesofsteele!rooster would be a good friend but a better frenemie. he will literally fuck the brat out of you without asking (yes there’s always consent dw) & wont even except ur “thank you” ‘s. he’ll do it for free, WHILE simultaneously catching feelings for you. now that’s a good friend if u ask me. esp considering ur older brother is his arch nemesis.

ceasefire!rooster is so sweet to you. the best boy, you might even have a crush on him. the only issue is he doesn’t reciprocate the crush… he actually wants to fuck ur mom, which he will never admit to bc he knows it’s gonna hurt ur feelings. he’ll always be there for you, unless ur complaining abt ur mom, then he’ll for some odd reason be on her side.

dogfight!rooster (this is my favorite fic of urs besides pursuit & sub rosa, not like every fic u right isn’t amazing… it’s just u got friends to lovers to enemies to hate sex SO good here) is an amazing friend. except for when he catches feelings. then it ruins everything. but you figured out if u pretend to hate him it actually turns him on & the hate sex is so good that even hangman wishes he could be as much of a bitch as u can so someone could tame him that well.

sowhydotheycallyourooster!rooster would be sweet but for some reason i feel like he could be critical and condescending. mf is always judging ur s/o’s but that is j bc he secretly wants to be them.

helpinghand!rooster will gossip with u abt work drama & drama in general. i’m fr he’s a gossip addict. everyone knows this. except sometimes he can use the gossip to his advantage like when u told him ur ex didn’t make him cum & that very night he ended up in ur bedroom.

tw talk of nail biting? and stimming ig? i dunno wtf to tag this with, sorry.

okay, this is gonna sound really stupid. like. ik this is me overreacting but i feel like i just need to talk about it. advice would be great but if you just want this to be a vent, that's fine. im Xra.

i bite my nails ok? i bite my nails, i like, gnaw on my hands, pick at my skin, shit like that, I always have. the gnawing thing is a stim, like, i'm autistic and sometimes i just have half my hand in my mouth trying to comfort myself or contain my feelings. which sounds gross, i know it does, trust me, i've been told, you don't have to tell me. i've tried to stop. i briefly stopped biting my nails. long nails are sensory HELL and something bad happened and i just fell right back into it and i never stopped any of the other stuff.

but i have a sister, who i avoid, bc she's mean to me most of the time. i don't mean like, 'ooh my sister is just annoying :/ i hate not being an only child', i mean she's always telling me shit like she used to hate me, and stuff i need to work on so that i'm not so "abrasive" or "weird" or telling me stories about every time i messed up when i was little and how stupid i looked, which is realy fun because some of those incidents i didn't even realize i was looking stupid! she makes me feel bad. ANYWAY. she also likes to point out and kind of pick on me for my nail biting shit.

but she pointed it out when my mom was in the room. and most people don't say anything about it bc they know im very self conscious about it. but my sister was going on and on about how i needed to get a handle on it and how it looked nasty and then she turned to my mom and she was like right? and my mom, who usually says nothing at all about it! and has never been mean about it like this! went off on a tangent about how my dad bites his nails, his mom bites her nails, and how its a "generalational curse" from his side and how i'll probably do it all my life and chip my teeth and wear down my nails and have all sorts of complications that i'll have to deal with because she can't handle trying to convince me to stop. it was just. i was straight up crying. it was awful.

i guess it was meant to be a wake up call for me. and i guess i get it. its disgusting. and i'm fucked up or whatever. but i can't stop. especially bc of the whole autism and stimming shit. i know it's stupid to get upset because. she's right, i SHOULD stop, it is bad, ect ect, but i can't stop feeling really hurt about it because like-she never even apologized and she just pretends it didn't happened but now i feel even worse about it all and even more anxious, which makes me do it more. :/

i'm moving all my stuff over here instead of twitter bc today has reaffirmed to me that i wanna get the hell off of there. so now you get to see my game thoughts on here yayyyy isn't that exciting

anyway

the girl <3 kinda surprised that alm and celica aren't sharing a ring if she and ephraim are? maybe bc they wanted to make celica a magic-based ring and that doesn't suit alm? but then again why not have chrom and lucina share? strangeness all around, maybe it was gonna be an exclusive concept for the twins and then they decided to keep using it for dlc

overall i feel like micaiah is working this look the best. where are ike's muscles. they stole them. the poor man is sickly now

also rosado's design has been one of my favorites and if it turns out their relatively practical armor is due to being a "feminine dude" character then i would not be surprised. rn seems like it's a tossup what their gender is so let's hope whatever it is it's at least done reasonably respectfully. forrest wasn't bad after all. and zelkov brings a return of the fates/awakening era Dark Gray Skin which is a shame. at least the rest of the darker skinned characters look okay

citrinne is definitely the maribelle/l'arachel/constance style character...hopefully she's good. some of the other characters revealed in this bunch also look more up my alley personality/design wise than the initial batches (although citrinne's sleeves are. a sin) so that's something. though in general the designs are...whack tbh

also there are so many cravats in the male character designs?? what is up with that

we finally got to see more of the style savvy dress up mechanics and i'm really glad that maybe i can switch off some of the worst outfits, especially the alears. seriously every alt outfit looks better than what the defaults have going on haha

but while overall i'm not really interested in most gimmicky side stuff a la fates and 3hopes, i do really like accessories and dressup options so happy for those. if i have to do a few rhythm games to get them then that's a fair tradeoff....

overall i'm surprised by the amount of really "modern" looking touches. lamps, glasses, sweatpants...fates had a couple accessories like that but nothing quite on this scale? i wonder if that's just lousy art/design direction or a deliberate choice for some plot reason?

anyway these are my favorites revealed so far although ofc will have to get to know characters in game to really know

i think this game could still be really fun, and i'm glad it doesn't seem to be aiming for "oooh what side will you pick" like fates and 3h (technically echoes was in there but overall i'm like...give us a break from the big route splits please). also less politics and drama than 3h which is welcome, i never expect a good story from FE and often when they try to do a "good" story it uh...doesn't land. it's just a shame that i really don't care for the art direction at all, the sameface and the oufits and the overall weirdness of it all :(

also they should add tms rings
