"Until now he hasn't shown his intentions, but he has managed to corral us into this difficult situation. There isn't a person as dangerous as him."

hi anon! thanks for asking this, it's a very fun question. i wrote a whole bulleted list of dab and evan's traits in my drafts to try and work it out 🤣 i feel like dan is very dab (how fitting) in that he's

quite dramatic

an actor — which, yknow, dan isn't an actor but the content he puts out is a lot more stylised / scripted / themed etc compared to phil's. so, more structured i guess (also wasn't dan a theatre kid??)

more arty

plays piano! (even if dab plays it badly — the point is it's a common trait and he'll get there eventually lol)

i have less points for phil as evan, it's more vibes. phil and evan seem to be more lowkey than dan/dab in a lot of ways, but i think they have a quirky flamboyant side that makes its appearance at the best and most unexpected times which i enjoy a lot.

hopefully this is something. i didn't really follow the sims series back before the hiatus so i'm sure other people who did would have more solid, factually-based evidence, but this is what i got based off the new vids!

So I’m not a fan of any Dan Heng + high cloud quintet ships mainly bc when we found out that Dan Feng was punished thru forced reincarnated into our Dan Heng and he was imprisoned for most of his life despite pretty much not being the same person as his past incarnation, it immediately reminded me of how in NK if someone commits a crime their whole family and generations are punished. So that kinda led to me seeing DF as DHs dad lol

Speaking of Dan, the Udon comics still are the best portayals of Dan for me. Yeah he’s still used as comic relief but he has plenty of chapters that show just how good of a guy he really is and there’s even an extremely heartfelt chapter of him just finally forgiving Sagat after all these years and I really appreciate that over how most games just kind of use him as a punching bag all the time.
