I've been meaning to work Ceelie into the first Snakes N' Barrels episode for ages, but this little deleted scene'll have to suffice for now! 🖤

"How're they doing?"

Of all the voices asking that, St. Cecilia hadn't expected it to be Charles's voice. She glanced at him over her shoulder, saying, "They're coming around."

Sammy, Tony, and Snazz had all been put in the same observation room for easy access, and it had a massive window through which St. Cecilia had been watching for the past hour. She had no idea where Pickles was, but at least Charles had shown up. His presence was comforting, as it always had been.

He said, "What happened? I hear it was chaos."

That was an understatement. It had been nothing short of terrifying, and having Dethklok's hoods come rampaging onto the stage certainly hadn't helped. St. Cecilia was still shaking. "Sammy said he got it from a dude," she said. Her imitation of his American accent was terrible, and Charles struggled not to smile wryly at it. "Called it totally awesome sweet Alabama liquid snake." She wrinkled her nose at the name.

Charles hummed, mirroring her posture. "I understand why Pickles wasn't effected by this mystery drug," he said, "but why weren't you?"

"I didn't take it."

He cast a glance down at her, one brow lifted, but said nothing.

"I passed out on stage once, remember?" St. Cecilia looked away from him, shamed by the memory. "It was humiliating, and I have no intention of letting it happen again."

She hadn't heard him laugh in years, and though it was soft, she basked in the sound of it. She'd missed it more than she realized. She'd missed him more than she realized.

With a smile, he said, "Good girl."

And she lit up.

I wanted to talk about Mihika and Sorrel, since they're two of my main mtl ocs who I haven't expanded on a lot (also I need a primary source for the mtl ocs wiki lol)

Mihika Ekanayake is a lawyer and roommates with one of my other ocs, Seonag. She graduated from Harvard Law during season 1 and she was supposed to attend the graduation ceremony Nathan gave his speech at, but she found out her fiance was cheating on her right before graduation so she was too distraught to attend. Seonag moved in with her because she couldn't pay the rent on her own (and also she didn't like being in the house alone post-breakup).

She's of Sri Lankan descent (Sinhalese and Vedda, to be specific), but she was born and raised in Tomahawk Wisconsin. She met Amber when she was visiting her home city during law school and the two became close friends. Even after moving to Australia, Amber will still use the various modes of transportation at her disposal to meet up with Mihika and have a girls' night. Mihika really likes rap and r&b from the 90's, but she also enjoys the Planet Piss demos she heard.

Sorrel Simoneau was a musical prodigy-turned teen pop star in France. Her handlers were in a bit of a panic for a bit because, after numerous failed attempts to market her outside of the Francosphere, her handlers started to realize that her star was starting to fade even domestically. Also during this time, Sorrel managed to sneak out and see Snakes N' Barrels in concert - and it blew her fuckin' mind. With her background in classical piano and teen pop, she had no idea music could sound like that. This was her sign that she needed to get into glam metal. Her team hated the idea, but her contract was almost up anyway so she jumped to another label with lower standards. The genre shift was a disaster. Her old fans were alienated by the new sound and the rock and metal fans (even the mainstream ones) saw through the act. The reception was so bad that Sorrel was dropped from her label and left France and music altogether.

Sorrel moved to America where she focused her attention on academics. She majored in mathematics with a minor in chemistry, then she got her PhD in chemical engineering. After working in this field, she was hired by Dr. Amonolith Chesterfield. Ironically, she was part of the team that developed Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake (she did not come up with the name). She was poached by Charles sometime during season 2 and now she works with Mordhaus' team of scientists. No one is allowed to bring up her teen pop or glam metal past.

Is being dead more fun than being alive?

Yes and no. Can’t be traumatized and brainwashed by a drug, but I’m also never going to experience so many things ever again. There are a lot of things about life I don’t miss, but I mourn who I was before the point where I feel like I died before I actually died. There’s so much stuff I never did and while it was way too late when I took Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake I’m still left with the what ifs. I could have finally made a move on someone I’ve had feelings for a while when we were both out of bands, I didn’t and now he’s alive and I’m dead. Sure we can fool around, but we can’t be together. I did so much coke that I was physically and mentally ravaged by the time I got sober, I started doing coke when I was 14, I could have at least waited until I was an adult. I should have waited until I was an adult. I was careless and put myself in danger so often. Now I’m dead and I feel lucky that I can still talk to everyone, but I’m dead. I’m never coming back and there’s nothing I can do about it. But I can’t move on because I’m not ready and I don’t know if I will be until everyone I love is here with me.

Personal headcanon that probably has no evidence to back it up: 

As much as Pickles will just dole out drugs and encourage people to excess, after seeing his old bandmates/friends lose their minds on the Totally Awesome Sweet Alabama Liquid Snake and then get sober as a result of how badly it messed them up, he starts to be less pushy about hallucinogens. 

He’ll still encourage the people he’s with to take them, but he’s more ok about people saying “no” to hallucinogens or taking a smaller dose than he recommended after that experience because if he ends up being responsible for someone losing their will or ability to party, he knows it’s going to mess him up and the guilt would eat him alive.

Well, since Brendon Small compares Skwisgaar's attitude and playing (technical style etc) to Yngwie Malmsteen I guess it's fair enough hahaha (always remember about Skwisgaar whenever I listen to Malmsteen's songs)

3. Toki Wartooth

Maybe that's the most "random" one, but this song's vibe really got me thinking about Toki hahaha (It has the same energy... you know? Hahahah idk what I'm saying)

4. Pickles the drummer

Back in the "Snakes n Barrels" episode when they're playing in their reunion show, the song they play (before they start to literally freak out/trip really hard because of the "totally awesome sweet Alabama liquid snake" drug) totally reminds me of Double talkin' jive... I can easily imagine pickles singing that song... And maybe Dust N' bones as well...

sorrel simoneau. used to be a french popstar as a teen, has since abandoned that life to focus on her academics. she's a chemist now.

huge fan of snakes n' barrels. even though she grew up in the music scene and she's classically trained, snakes n' barrels is the only band she listens to. she thinks mp3 players are a waste of space because you don't need that much memory to store no time for antivenom, aka the only album that exists.

her musical interests and her career met in an interesting way when she got a job working with dr. ramonolith chesterfield's team. she's one of the scientists involved in the development of totally awesome sweet alabama liquid snake -- she did not come up with the name.

she wasn't aware that she was helping to mind control her favorite band. idk, maybe she gets poached by charles and gets a job working for dethklok.
