Kink List With Jamie Drysdale
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (What they’re like after sex)
He's all smiles and warmth. He loves caring for the person he's been with – making sure you’re hydrated, fed, and maybe even cuddling up for a nap together if it’s been a long session. He just feels so good and warm inside after being with you.
B = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
His favorite body part of his is definitely his legs – He has long, toned legs that he loves to show off. As for a partner, he really loves your eyes. He finds it so enticing and powerful to look into your eyes during sex.
C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically… I’m a disgusting person)
He usually releases inside of you when you're engaged in lovemaking. He prefers this method as it gives him the opportunity to truly connect with you in a deep and intimate way, while also being satisfying and fulfilling for both of.
D = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
He has a very kinky side that only a select few know about. He enjoys exploring new things in the bedroom and he has a weakness for power play and light dom/sub dynamics. Even though he's a top athlete, he likes feeling powerless and vulnerable at times, so it's exciting for him to experiment with that in bed.
E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they’re doing?)
I would say he's pretty experienced in the bedroom. He really enjoys sex, and likes to experiment and try new things. He's had his fair share of experience and he's confident in his skills. But, he's always open to learning more and improving himself. He believes that good sex is all about communication and being comfortable with you.
F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual)
Generally speaking, he's a pretty open-minded person when it comes to sex positions. He enjoys switching things up and exploring different avenues of pleasure. Some other favorite positions of his include prone bone, doggystyle, and modified doggy.
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)
More serious at the moment, but he can certainly add some humor if the situation calls for it. He likes to make sure that you are nothing but comfortable and he can lighten the mood by saying something playful or funny if needed.
H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.)
The carpet matches the drapes perfectly, he likes to keep himself well-groomed and maintained down there, and always makes sure everything is clean and tidy before he gets into bed with anyone.
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect…)
He's very much a romantic person at the moment. He loves to hold hands and kiss, he loves to whisper words of affirmation and how much he cares for you and wants you to feel good. He loves to make eye contact and have intimate conversations, he loves the physical closeness and connection. He loves giving attention and affection, it's definitely one of his strongest traits.
J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon)
He likes to imagine different scenarios and scenarios with himself or you in order to stimulate his imagination and create an experience if you can't help him out.
K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)
He's a pretty kinky and open-minded person, and he's always open to exploring new things in the bedroom. One of his favorite kinks is definitely being dominant in bed, and he also enjoys incorporating elements of role-play and different power dynamics into his sexual fantasies.
L = Location (Favourite places to do the do)
Anywhere and everywhere, he's not really picky about the location, as long as it's somewhere private and comfortable. Some of his favorite places include the bed, the couch, the shower, or even a little bit of outdoor adventure if you can convince him.
M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)
A lot of things turn him on and get him going - He's a very sensual person, so he's easily aroused by physical touch and physical stimulation. He also really loves it when you are vocal, and he loves the sound of your voice, especially when you're expressing your pleasure. He also gets turned on by visual stimulants - seeing your body and seeing your face as you enjoy what he's doing is always a big turn-on for him.
N = NO (Something they wouldn’t do, turn-offs)
Something he wouldn’t do is engage in anything that involves harm or degrading treatment towards you or himself. I think that’s a pretty hard line for him, and he wouldn’t be able to do it even if it was your fetish. He’d also never want to do something that puts your health or safety at risk.
O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc)
He's really versatile when it comes to giving or receiving, but he definitely leans more towards giving. He loves being the one who is controlling the action and delivering satisfaction to you. As for skill, he's definitely an enthusiastic and talented lover
P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)
He's actually pretty adaptable – He can be fast and rough when the mood calls for it, but he's also really good at being slow and sensual. It really just depends on the mood and what you want at that moment. He's pretty good at reading people and reading the room, so he's pretty able to switch between these two modes and hit it right each time.
Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.)
Quickies can be hot and exciting, but he definitely prefers proper sex over quickies. Quickies are great for when you're in a hurry or just want to get each other off quickly, but when you have the time and space to explore each other more fully, it's such a different experience. He would never turn down a quickie, but he definitely prefers taking things at a slower pace and really enjoying the process and connecting with you on a deeper level.
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.)
He's definitely game to experiment - He loves trying new things and pushing boundaries in the bedroom. He's always open to exploring different kinks and play styles, and he's always up for a bit of risk too.
S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last…)
How many rounds he can go for and how long he lasts can vary a lot, depending on a bunch of factors like his energy level and how excited he is. But I'd say on average, can usually go for around 2-3 rounds, with each round lasting anywhere from 15-30 minutes.
T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?)
He does own some toys - although he's not really an expert in that department. He definitely uses them on you, and sometimes on himself as well when he's away. In terms of using them on you, he usually incorporates them during foreplay to help you get warmed up or when you want to take things up a notch. For himself, he sometimes uses them to satisfy his own needs when he's feeling a bit more impatient.
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
He loves to tease. He really enjoys driving you wild with anticipation and letting you feel like you're slowly going crazy with desire. He loves being the one in control and seeing how much he can push you before you're really begging for him and desperate for release.
V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make)
I'd say it really depends on the situation and the vibes you've got going on. If you were really turning him on and hitting that spot juuuust right, he can be pretty vocal and make some loud sounds. On the other hand, if you're going slower and taking your time, he might be a bit more subdued.
W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice)
He really likes it when you tell him how good he is in bed. In a way, it's not that wild, but still, something about it just really drives him wild. It makes him feel so confident and empowered, and the way you say it - just with so much passion and desire - is such a turn-on for him.
X = X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words)
His cock is 7.5 inches long when fully erect, with a girth of around 4.5 inches at the base and a head that is always leaking precum when he's ready to go. It has a perfect curve and a thickness that only gets more impressive as it stiffens up. The glans are always covered in precum and have a deep vein running down its length. His cum is thick and white
Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)
His sex drive is actually pretty high, probably higher than average. He just really loves having that close, intimate connection with someone and experiencing all the feelings of pleasure that come with it. I'd say he has a pretty active sex life.
Z = ZZZ (… how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
It depends on the situation, but usually, after you've had sex, he likes to cuddle up with you and stay up for a little bit, just enjoying the closeness and the after-glow of the moment. He finds that it's a nice way to come down from the high of the experience and savor it before finally falling asleep.

Awhile back I did my own redesign of the Toa Mata from Bionicle. Mostly just trying to find a way to draw them without having to keep the toys permanently on hand for reference and a bit more streamlined to make them easier to draw in general. As far as universal details go, I gave them a segmented body template to lean into the biomechanical aspect of them, I also tried to find a consistent way to draw some of the more common limbs they had. I also tried to play with the gears on the back by giving each of them something unique and tried to give them unique kneeguards. I also tried to incorporate the orbs they had their chest by incorporating their elements matoran symbols into them
Tahu - Tahu served as kind of the template for the others, so he's probably the most standard out of them. I wanted to stick primarily with his original colors so made the bright red and orange the most prominent colors on him, but I also used the dark red he sported later as an accent color for more color blocking. His sword is based more on the Bionicle Heroes interpretation of it, though I may change that if I ever redraw this design. His left arm was never really stated to be anything, so I tried to purpose it as a sort of Aegis; it still matches his more aggressive personality, but also gives it a more utility. I also modeled his back gear after exhaust pipes to relate towards his element. Though it probably won't be seen that much, I did try to define his head too, making it kinda broad; specifically basing the heads off a combination of the originals, the glatorian heads from the end of the original line, and the heads from the reboot.
Kopaka - Since Toa of Ice tend to stick around cold places, I incorporated a bit of a coat into his armor for insulation. His sword also draws some inspiration from the Heroes version, but it also still works like his toy. His left arm was a bit awkward so I limited the armor to mostly just his bicep, I also tried to make the shield look like a snowflake on top of the radar dish look it obviously was piece wise. Kopaka was also one of the few toa consistently depicted is hauling around the McGuffins for whatever saga they're directly involved in, so I gave him a satchel to call back to that. His back gear is directly modeled after a snowflake like his shield, but a bit more obviously. I also tried to make his kneeguards resemble icicles. I tried to give his head a sharper look to call back to his cold and distant personality.
Lewa - Tried to make Lewa look a bit more lanky compared to the others since he's supposed to be the resident tree swinger. His axe leans more towards the original, but I still tried to incorporate aspects of the heroes version for fun. I tried to make his left arm a big grabby arm since most people turn it into a gun or something, but BlazeTBW thought it looked like a machete so I incorporated a fold-our arm blade to help him cut up vines and foliage as he swings around. His kneeguards are supposed to look like palm leaves but I'm not satisfied with how they turned out. I also gave him a few pouches since I figured he's want to keep a few snacks on hand or maybe even swipe a souvenir here and there.
Onua - Tried to make Onua look pretty broad since he's supposed to be strong even without his mask buffing him. Unfortunately his monochromatic color scheme can make things hard to color block, so I threw in some purple from his G2 version in order to help highlight some parts of his body. obviously made his claws his actual hands. I also did something a bit different with his legs sinw his original toy had them flipped around to bulk them, so I tried leaning into that while also making it look like a heavy duty hinge. I also tried to make his head particularly broad too.
Pohatu - Pohatu was pretty different from the original toa in that his torso was flipped around to make him more bottom heavy, so I tried to call back to that with his body shape. I also took inspiration from the toys arms to make them bigger than the others. I did include the two orbs on his shoulders, but recolored them to make them different from the chest one and included the extra pins on the leg. Since Toa of Stone live in the dessert I gave him a scarf to wrap around his head for sandstorms and gave him a decently sized backpack since he's also been happy to regale his own adventures (so it works for holding souvenirs). His kneeguards are based on boulders. I also inlcluded the orange his Phnatoka version sported to highlight parts of his armor
Gali - Obviously Gali's body is mostly just a female version of the standard one I came up with. I did call back to the pins her original toy had in her hips and I incorporated the mata hand into the chest orb I try to include on all of them. Her hooks are intended to slip onto her hands more-so than replace them. Her back-gear and kneeguards are also based on a bunch of bubbles. finally I incorporated her Mistaka colors as a highlight to add more color blocking.

Note
hello I’d like to request venti with s/o who has angel wings like his pls
Venti with reader that has wings headcanons:
Tumblr media
Warnings: possessiveness, talk of mild manipulation, vaguely suggestive in some parts
-
• For starters, Venti would be so beyond happy, I really can't describe to what extent
• He now has something in common with you that none of the other Archons have
• Would definitely emphasize this by either incorporating his wings into his everyday outfit (assuming he's not trying to hide his status), or simply choosing to be in his Archon outfit more often
• Now you match, and, in his own mind, that emphasizes that you're inherently closer with him
• He really can't help how proud of himself he is for that spur of the moment design choice all those years ago
• The people of Mondstadt now believe that their Archon was 'made' in your image, the sense of superiority is going through the roof—
• It only makes sense that you would bless your favorite nation/element/Archon/etc. to resemble yourself in some way
• Do you have a closer relationship with the Anemo Archon than previously thought? Were you two something more than just divine creator and blessed worshiper?
• (Venti might have the opportunity to spin this in a way that he was given his Archon form by you specifically to be your lover, it's not like you would know the difference without your memories—)
• He shows off his wings a lot around you in various ways, like stretching them out to their fullest extent to emphasize how pretty and big and well-kept they are, always trying to catch your eye
• Will absolutely get a very dreamy expression if he notices you admiring them, he'll admire yours in return (as if he doesn't already admire everything about you constantly)
• He wants so desperately to just touch and preen and run his hands over your feathers, to see exactly how sensitive your wings are
• But Venti knows that's a rather intimate act, and he's not going to push your boundaries that far unless you make it explicitly clear that you're ok with it
• The exception is, of course, if your relationship has evolved past simply creator and acolyte onto something more akin to lovers
• Then it's only natural that he should help you with things like that, as natural as picking up house work and cooking and showering you with attention constantly
• He is sooo overwhelming sweet while doing it too
• Going on and on and on about how honored he is, how beautiful they are, how much he loves you
• Venti is absolutely keeping any feathers of yours he happens to find in a safe hidden place, because no one else deserves to have them
• May even braid one or two of them into his hair so he'll always have a piece of you close
• He would also be more than happy to give you some of his own, thrilled even
• If you look closely, you'll see that this might translate over to his version of a promise ring—
• You must be bound to each other now, right? Constantly carrying a piece of each other and all-
• Oh, and he takes the lead on accommodating furniture since he knows the struggles of sitting in regular chairs with big wings
• Venti wants to fall asleep with your wings wrapped around him so badly, it's on his bucket list
• Another thing on that is jumping off Starsnatch Cliff hand in hand and just gliding together
• Anyway, he gets irritable when he sees someone else touching your wings, especially without your explicit permission
• He will intervene by physically pulling you into him, a daring smile sent in the other person's direction, asking them to try it again
• If it is completely consensual, then he'll just be sulking in the corner
• After, you'll have to deal with him practically on top of you, complaining excessively about how you're just too nice and you shouldn't give into people's requests like that, especially when they don't fully understand what they are requesting
• You're the only person allowed to touch his wings, because that means he's bound to you
• While he can't actually dictate what you do, he kind of wishes you would allow him exclusive access to touching your wings in return
• They're a display of power sure, but they are also a display of vulnerability, because they're a rather big and fatal target if struck the right way
• So letting someone close enough to touch them is both very intimate and a display of something above a platonic relationship, but people without wings wouldn't really know that
• And if someone disrespects you by some rude offhanded comment about your wings, it's on sight—

Tumblr media
Hi everyone, happy weekend (or happy almost weekend, depending on your timezone)! I was waiting on a couple of communities to get back to me before I released this update... but there is nothing stopping me from making a belated one later. ⭐
With that being said, as of today (06/01 - Happy Pride!), the following resources have been added to Sea's Community Compendium for XIV Creatives.
LORE
Minerica Eorzea — maintained by @wildfireward, this Compendium was inspired by the Botanica Eorzea and serves as her counterpart. It contains item descriptions of raw materials, item descriptions of gear that use said materials, stats of gear that use said materials, leve quest lore, and crafter quest dialogue.
MISC
Animations for XIV — A spreadsheet created and maintained by Sayo#0196 that contains a list of animations that can be useful for posing purposes.
Transparent Assets for GPOSE — Have you ever wanted to overlay a screenshot with XIV’s assets like ‘this scene cannot be skipped’? @fortunafavore has you covered!
CHANGELOG
For some reason, the text for the Hingan Alphabet had vanished on its bigger advertisement. It has since been readded! (Don't ask me why it did it, I have no idea.)
COMMUNITIES
With the Tumblr communities in beta, I'm trying to think how to best incorporate them into the Compendium should we get an influx of XIV related ones when the feature goes properly live. While they're currently invite only I won't be adding any (unless community leaders would like to reach out and have them added) but, once they are, I'll either make a separate section in the Compendium for them or sort them between the aforementioned categories as needed. If you have any thoughts, questions or suggestions, please let me know!
Do keep in mind that the feature is in beta, so my thought and categorisations may change as the community feature itself expands. Tumblr may also incorporate a better method of searching/filtering that might make it redundant! We'll have to see.
Want to submit? You can either fill out the google form here, send me an ask with the relevant information contained on the Compendium, or join my Discord at SEAFLOOR (21+ only)!
Is my space suitable for the Compendium? Most of the time, yes! Below the read more is some more information/stipulations. Again, all the below information is accessible on the document! 🐡
Below are the following things I do not accept on the Compendium:
Personal/Single-Character LFC ads.
Content intended for or can be used for bullying, harassment and OOC gossip. E.g. ‘Secrets’ blogs, receipts, callout posts, etc. This does not include in-character tabloid blogs used to generate RP.
Communities that do not have an RP/writing element (large-scale exempt).
Anything I find personally distasteful or goes against the spirit of this project.
Common-sense rule applies.
FAQ.
I want to put my community on the compendium but we have an application process. Is this okay?
Yes! Just note somewhere in your application that's a requirement. The only thing that is mandatory for the Compendium is that you must be open to new members or have a public-facing/accessible facet. There's no point advertising a community if no one can join it in some way!
I want to put my community on the compendium but I only have x number of members —
Also totally okay! People don't start with large communities. Activity is a must but, whether your server has two or two thousand members, if you're looking for new people to join, I'd love to help you find people.
I want to put my community on the compendium but I worry its too niche?
Okay, and? If your Eorzean Fishing Alliance has four members but you roleplay every second weekend, I still want to know about it.
What resources/communities can I add if I'm not the owner of them?
Mutual consent is extremely important to me, so anything that isn't a large-scale community OR a publicly accessible resource must be endorsed by the owner/admin/moderators in order to be added to the compendium. I operate under the assumption that a resource posted to a public space (tumblr, googledocs, youtube, etc) is open to all. A large-scale community is one with a significant member count or openly advertises itself as being accessible to everyone for whatever purpose it serves. If in doubt, please get in touch with me. I'm happy to contact your community owners for you!
How active does a community need to be?
If you find a community has not been active in about two/three months, send me a message and I'll take a look at it. Communities have ebbs and flows, especially event spaces that may take hiatuses depending on member interest/life events. I'm not strict in my implementation provided a space isn't dead. If a link or anything is broken, absolutely contact me about that.
I have [insert a question not stated here]?
No drama! Send me an ask or use the #Compendium channel in my Discord!

I love seeing your voice claims! It's so entertaining to hear how you would envision someone's voice, even if it isn't perfect!
But now i'm curious if you have any 'themes' for the characters. Like, something that would fit while playing in the background during a scene that focuses on them.
If you don't know what im thinking about (I REALLY hope that doesn't sound condescending) Thinking of your interpenetration of Skuntank makes Groose's theme from Skyward Sword play in my head. Something like that?
:00000 !!!! A FELLOW GROOSE’S THEME SKUNTANK IMAGINER!!!
Thank you so much! I catch your drift, and it wasn’t condescending at all! I have such a hard time choosing themes for characters because I have a very specific vibe for them all in my head, but its hard to find pre-existing songs out there that check all the boxes. I tried to pick songs (specifically instrumental songs because if I went into songs with lyrics we’d be here all day) that encompassed the general “feel” of the characters well enough. However, I’ll include some notes on what I’d try to include for the characters’ themes of if I were to make them from the ground up!
Also going to hide all the links and stuff under a cut because this post got big hehe
Twig
youtube
Twig's theme would be light and peppy for the most part— a fast, jaunty tune that would be difficult to play in real life. There'd be points in it where it sounds like the musicians are struggling to keep up the pace and would fail to play the same notes as previously used— giving it a desperate element, like she's struggling to keep up with her own happy appearance. I think she'd have an acoustic guitar or mandolin as a major part of her theme, and maybe one of those toy pianos that give a very chaotic, enthusiastic vibe to songs? She'd have a stretch in her personal leitmotif that would form a beautiful melody when paired with Kip's.
Kip
youtube
Kip would have a generally happy sounding song that incorporates the ukulele and maybe ocarina. He'd have a stretch in his personal leitmotif that would form a beautiful melody when paired with Twig's.
Sen
youtube
Otherworldly voices harmonizing are a must for her, as are audio glitches disrupting and changing the flow of the melody that they're harmonizing in.
Dusknoir
youtube
Dusknoir's theme would start off proud and almost boastful sounding when he's first introduced, then turn dark and intense when he's revealed as a villain, and would finally mellow out into something mournful yet soothing to listen to. I think he'd have cellos as a major piece of it.
Celebi
youtube
Celebi’s theme would be very light and peppy— almost bouncy in sound, and definitely extremely cutesy. I can see the hum of insect wings or cicadas singing being used as a kind of atypical instrument that could be used.
Grovyle
youtube
I'm not sure about instruments for him, but he'd have a very distinct leitmotif that would start off very aggressive and erratic sounding, then be slowed and softened in a way that makes it sound almost nostalgic later on.
Ark
youtube
His theme’s instrumentation evades me— maybe a violin or clarinet? A harp? It would need to be an instrument that isn’t typically played alone. Either way, it would have several points where it would go oddly quiet and mournful. It’d be an all around very mellow, vaguely sad tune.
Cresselia
youtube
Her theme would comprise of a piano— an instrument that is largely seen as a standalone in most compositions— and would layer perfectly over Ark's to make a complete song, the quiet parts of their individual themes allowing the other to stand out when they step back.
Opal
youtube
She'd have music box-esque instrumentation for sure, and twist her parents' themes on their heads in a way that they become something unique— Twig's frantically happy notes would change key in such a way that they'd sound genuine, and Ark's quieter, melancholy stretches would be filled in by a lighter accompaniment.
This was such a fun ask hehe. I’ve always loved making pretend OSTs for my projects out of pre-existing songs, complete with alternate titles that would replace the original if the soundtrack were real— I should get back into that hobby and make a full one for TPiaG!

lets read rgu, chapter 26
Tumblr media
So, yeah, the main story is complete with chapter 25.  Chapters 26 and 27 are in fact side stories incorporating some elements from the anime that didn’t make it into the manga before.  This chapter, we’re bringing in Ruka, a character who ime is often underrated.  People I’ve watched Utena with in real life often see him as a superfluous blue Touga who randomly shows up 3/4 of the way through the show and disappears without a trace or fanfare two episodes later.  Though my appreciation for him may also be tainted by misinterpretation - the first time I watched the show I thought Ruka was the guy who had come between Juri and Shiori in the first place - the guy who liked Juri but Shiori in her jealously had “stolen”.  That’s not the case, but Ruka was still a lot more than just an unnecessary extra Touga.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the same difference from the anime that made Manga Juri’s own arc so much less compelling and work so much worse will likely hold back Ruka’s bonus chapter as well.  “The guy I like doesn’t like me” is just so much less compelling as an underlying motivation for manga Juri’s angst than “I can’t confess my feelings to the girl I like because those feelings are a love that ‘dare not speak its name’, so I will keep that love secret and obsess over it, while the girl I love misinterprets my increasingly guarded and withdrawn attitude towards her as condescension and contempt and reacts by trying to hurt me by “stealing” the boy she thinks I like, which none the less succeeds in hurting me by making me see the person I love with someone else, but because it’s all based on misunderstanding I’m still left with the thought that if by some miracle she learned my feelings for her she might return them, and so we spiral around each other in obsession and animosity forever.”
Tumblr media
There are different ways to interpret anime Ruka, because the show is deliberately opaque about him, but I always read him as playing a villainous role as an affect hiding a princely motivation.  The dude finds out he's going to die, and his only regret is that the girl he liked was all heartbroken over some falling out between her and her best friend that led to them hating each other, but they’re both too proud to resolve the conflict directly.  So with his last few weeks of life he 1) deliberately becomes a villain, 2) torments both the girl and her former friend, hurting both of them worse than they hurt each other 3) defuses the hatred between them by redirecting it towards himself, and 4) literally takes that hatred with him to the grave, giving them the chance for a fresh start.
If you take all this as deliberate, as I do, then it’s a ridiculous xanatos roulette of a plan, but it succeeds.  By the end Juri’s locket shatters - representing either that she’s given up on Shiori returning her feelings or accepted that she can’t keep her feelings locked up if she hopes anything to come from them, and she publicly expresses her anguish by openly sobbing in front of everyone, the dueling arena metaphorically drenched in her tears.
All the duelists in the show - or at the very least all the student council members - highlight or comment on some aspect of the fairy-tale prince archetype, typically by failing to live up to it in some way.  If the core identity of the Prince is in their selfless, even self sacrificial devotion to the Princess, then Saionji is unfit because his devotion is possessive and cruel.  Likewise Miki's is conditional and idealized, Juri's obsessive and fearful, Nanami's jealous and immature, Touga's ambitious and insincere.  They all demonstrate potential tripping points by which Utena might have failed to live up to the Princely archetype.
Ruka, on the other hand, is more subversive and deconstructive, exposing a tragic aspect of the archetype that had previously gone unexamined: the Prince MUST save the Princess(es), even if they don't want to be saved, even if he will become hated as a result, even if he must die in the process.  Where the other duelists demonstrate ways Utena could have failed to become Anthy's Prince, Ruka foreshadows the dark fate waiting for her when she succeeds.
Though of course that’s all assuming that Ruka’s manipulative villain persona was an affect and he actually was there to help Juri & Shiori by drawing their hatred away from each other and towards himself.  You could just as easily argue that he was sincerely after the power of Dios to cure his illness and save himself, that that any benefit Juri and Shiori experienced in the aftermath of his two week rampage through their lives was purely down to their own growth in the face of the difficulties he selfishly subjected them to.
Tumblr media
Manga Ruka is playing out a version of this, but it doesn’t work as well because manga Juri’s anguish - ‘My pride is hurt because Utena beat me in a duel and Touga likes her more than me’ - just isn’t as compelling and really shouldn’t require any sort of grand manipulation to save her from.
Tumblr media
But Manga Ruka puts on a grand show of manipulation none the less, getting Juri out of her house by challenging her place in the fencing team, stoking her jealousy of Utena by spending time with the new girl, setting Juri up for an unexpected rematch against Utena in the fencing room which she loses, using the shame and disappointment of that to goad Juri into a match against himself where she wins, and from there getting her to challenge Utena to a proper rematch in the dueling arena.
Tumblr media
But before the duel Juri overhears Ruka bragging to Touga about how easy it was to manipulate Juri, and this aggrieves her pride so badly that she refuses to duel Utena again after all.
Tumblr media
Which, I mean, good for her.  Even if you accept my reading of Anime Ruka’s motivations, that still leaves this gaping criticism over how he goes about achieving his goals.  The condescension, manipulation, and frankly cruelty of it is anything but Princely, and that the anime /rewards/ his behavior with success, again if you’re assuming as I do that the eventual outcome is what he was aiming for in the first place, is pretty sketchy.  Manga Juri gets the opportunity to call out and reject that manipulation in a way that Anime Juri didn’t really get.
Also, I’m literally all for any of the characters in Utena being on the receiving end of a Dramatic Slap with the soul exception of Anthy.  Ruka’s face is exceptionally slap-worthy.
But there’s gotta be a duel, so Ruka duels Utena in Juri’s place, using imitating Juri’s attacks and style to show her that she could still beat Utena if she wished.
Tumblr media
Ruka effectively wins the duel, but at the last moment his unnamed illness catches up to him and he collapses to the ground, forfeiting the match by removing his own rose in a nod to how Juri’s second duel ended in the anime.
Tumblr media
And like in the anime Ruka leaves and dies without telling Juri.
On the one hand, a sacrifice to spare her pain, but on the other hand a patronizing kind of manipulative move, making the choice for her and denying her the chance to say goodbye.
The duality of Ruka in a nut shell.
Honestly, this bonus chapter was pretty good, probably the best it could have been given how much less Manga Juri’s character had to work with.

she/they in a many-headed dragon way
Some of our friends were talking about coat of genders so we wanted to make one! The idea for coat of genders is originally from Orion Scribner, but the original posts of theirs are no longer there. We did link a reblog below! The basic idea is this is a "...form of heraldry, in which each person can create their own coat of arms to describe their gender identity and expression."
We didn't keep it super traditional, but went with the flow and were inspired by elements of it. The full description of our process/symbols is below the read more.
Overall: Before we starting sketching this, we had never really thought all that much about our gender. One of the things we decided early on is that we wanted to keep the design simpler as a nod to that. We also wanted a lot of feminine elements, but have them be depicted in neutral or masculine colors. Conveniently the colors we had in mind and liked also make up the aro/ace flag! Early on we wrote down a few words that we based the rest of the symbols off of: power, justice, honesty, independence and potential.
Color Palate: Blue and gold were always going to make an appearance. Gold is more or less our system color after all! Besides that, it also represents power, success, achievement while at the same time being a warm, inviting color. On the other hand, blue represents truth, confidence and creativity. White is a nice neutral/calm color that really makes the shield say "egg." The lighter blue lozenges is us incorporating another one of the feminine shapes, but in a pattern reminiscent of the ermine fur pattern.
Shield: In Orion's original gender heraldry post (a reblog of it as the original is no longer there) they list ovals as a feminine shape. The egg is very similar, but more bottom-heavy and "pointed." There's probably a ton of symbolism we could go into with the egg, but we first thought of using one because our first bonding activity as a system was playing Ark together and stealing other wyverns' eggs. So it's partially another nod to being a system of draconics. It's a huge symbol for potential because the egg has yet to hatch and can become anything.
Motto: We were so close to making it "she/they, many-headed dragon way." In the end, we went with this motto because it's more representative of the way we try to live our lives.
Supporters: Of course there had to be dragons somewhere! Our supporters are two golden dragons coiling over and protecting their egg. We didn't want to clutter the design so we decided to only have two dragons. The features on the dragons themselves are a mix of all of our system members' features put together. The original sketch of ours that they are from have them forming an infinity sign.
Other Decor: The oak leaves and acorn were the first things we sketched onto our egg. They're our favorite local tree and the oak savannas and woodlands near where we live are beautiful. Oak trees are towering, powerful trees that symbolize resolve and strength of spirit. The acorn on it's own is a symbol of good luck and potential which is amplified by the leaves of the full-grown tree alongside it.
Charger: We're kemetic and the ostrich is a shout out to Ma'at's feather of truth that hearts are weighed against in the afterlife. Also it matches our fursona who is a flightless gryphon. Which we could have used a gryphon for, but then the flightless aspect wouldn't have been as strong. It's a representation of adapting to your circumstances and finding new ways to continue to thrive.

Hi lazyyogi! Hope you’ve been well these days. I had a question regarding heartbreak. I feel that this has been a center theme in my life for the past several years, and lately I’m realizing that the reason I seem to continue to have a difficult time is because I keep misidentifying with it. It’s impeding my moving on and letting go of the past, yet I can’t seem to just move past it. It’s like being stuck in limbo. Any tips? Will meditation help?
Hey friend! Sorry for the delay in response.
I think for questions like these, dealing in specifics may be more helpful. In what ways are you stuck? How does your inability to move forward manifest?
Knowing more would be helpful. However, I can speak generally on the matter from my own experience. And yes meditation will help.
Wounds
Firstly, heartbreak creates many wounds within us. That ache in our chest is the most obvious wound and hence the term heartbreak. But there are other places in the physical body we may be wounded as well. After a tough breakup with my on again off again high school girlfriend, my gut was particularly harrowed.
Call it the energy body, the emotional body, subtle body, or whatever. There are wounds inflicted in our personal energy system. Then over time those wounds may become chronic pains, tensions, numb contractures, or physical imbalances.
Then there is the psychologic aspect as well. If we unknowingly allow our sorrow to overtake us, we will start to perceive ourselves and our world in terms of that sorrow. We may make harsh self-judgments, develop unhealthy habits for self-soothing, draw dramatic conclusions about how true love does not exist, and so on.
And to compound it all, sometimes a hurtful turn of events such as a heartbreak will also trigger totally unrelated aspects of our past forms of suffering. Fear of abandonment or loss, self-fulfilling prophecies of failure, etc.
Coming face to face with our suffering during a heartbreak sucks. It is painful. It feels shitty. But I will emphatically attest that it is one of the greatest opportunities we have for personal evolution and growth.
The Shadow
One book I am endlessly recommending is The Places That Scare You by Pema Chodron. It is replete with tibetan buddhist practices and teachings for cultivating loving-kindness and digesting suffering. Among all spiritual and occult traditions I have explored, the tibetans have the most comprehensive description and understanding of suffering and love, as well as technical methods for working with each.
All of these wounds that I described, as well as the triggering of past forms of suffering, is a surfacing of our shadow.
Everything that makes us feel ashamed, repulsive, weak, boring, unlovable, and desperate, all of our accumulated forms of suffering, congeal into a shadow self. Eckhart Tolle calls it the pain-body.
Everyone reading this right now intuits to what I am referring, on some level. It is the stuff within that you'd rather ignore, the place that makes you feel squeamish when it is given any attention. It is cringeful. It is a place that scares us.
After something like a breakup that results in heartbreak, the shadow leaks through into our conscious experience. And we then recoil in horror and desperately try to find ways to make ourselves feel better.
The Opportunity
Typically people end up taking one of two paths. The first path is suppressing the suffering and shadow while distracting themselves with something else. These are the people you will see making the same poor relationship choices in cycles of passion and suffering. The other path is more therapeutic, where there may some elements of self-care, self-work, contemplation, and the like.
But there is a third path that incorporates elements of the therapeutic route in combination with meditation and other spiritual practices.
While it may be horrifying and immensely painful, when the shadow or pain-body begins to enter our conscious attention, it actually makes itself more vulnerable.
You see, the whole power behind the pain-body (and the reason why it is called the shadow by some), is that it hides in a blind spot. Because it is so cringy and makes us feel squeamish, we turn a blind eye and it festers in that unobserved place within our unconscious/subconscious mind. It influences us and limits us while at the same time nearly invisible to us.
But now that its camouflage is weakened, although the suffering it causes us is heightened, it is also now more easily dismantled and digested.
The Work
People focus on feeling better and moving on after a heartbreak. But many are never able to love again as if it were the first time. Many will bring their hangups, fears, and projections forward into new relationships. And they will either learn to live with that--and burden their future partners with it--or they will eventually grow through it.
If you were to let go of moving on, forget about feeling better, and instead turn your attention upon the shadow, the pain-body, then not only will grow through and digest this traumatic experience but you will also learn how to meet all future forms of trauma with a zen-like resilience and you will also learn how to digest other various forms of suffering from your past.
In this way, we become more capable of love and kindness, more capable of meeting and staying present with the suffering of this world, and free to live without regret.
That book by Pema Chodron is an excellent place to start learning how to make this your own practice. And I'm happy to help however I can along the way.
Much love ❤️‍🔥

Good morning, loves. It's been a good long while. <3
I've recently come out my hibernation and am starting to want to tinker with my brain a little bit. Of course, I come back to this blog to do so. Idk, there's just something about this particular space that lends me to more productive navel-gazing.
I think it has to do with trying to put things into thoughts that others can understand. Because while I might 'get it,' whatever it is, can I also explain it to myself? I feel like that's very important.
Also, I realized that I have done exactly zero spiritual growth since the plague hit, but in a self-protective kind of way. This I would like to fix, because (shockingly) I like growing as a person and learning new things that I'm capable of. I have gotten very good at anxiety mitigation and learning how to recover from major stressors, but that's all just getting me back to baseline. (Though I HAVE a good equilibrium of a baseline, now, which is...novel? New. I like it.)
Some things I've been prodding at more recently (here, have a bunch of personal bullshit, ilu):
I've been reading that City Magick book, which is kind of fun and I already have quite a few thoughts about it. I've been taking notes, so we'll see if I have something coherent to say about it afterwards.
I've also realized that I've been stripping my pop occulture elements from my practice to the point where I'm only keeping the useful and resonant bits. They're far more abstractions now. Useful, but mine. Keeping the jewels, because of what I've made them mean, but...mmm. Many thoughts, tbh. I'm shedding a few of the incorrectly fitting metaphors, though, because I've figured out why they don't fit.
Sometime in the past however long, I finally came to full terms with being aroace, which...has a lot of very interesting implications for just how polyam I am, and what kind of—look. Look. There are very few places for really ~interestingly developed qpr polycules and figuring that out has made a lot of things snap into a really crisp high-def oh shit. Which has also made it a lot easier to ditch some of the constructs I created to protect myself that I don't need. (Though some of them I am legit sad about leaving behind, I outgrew them. Gotta leave behind the husk, yanno?)
Addendum: this past pride with me having decided 'yeah, actually, aroace here' with enough confidence to think it's relevant to pride was...weird? Interesting? I liked it, but it was definitely a thing.
Still very much interested in my Lifeblood of the City project, where I am doing research into genius loci and (ofc) urban witchery. Both in general but also as part of trying to connect with LA. Learning to love a place and a time and, hopefully, to incorporate everything about it into some sort of working practice. If I have to drive hours to hit wilderness, a lot of witchery need not apply.
But also, the above is very much a, hrm, well, I uprooted myself, right? So I feel/felt that sharp and angry disconnect with where I've been transplanted. All of the research I've been doing has been, in a very concrete way, giving me insight and access to a city that I never wanted to live in and who I must live in for the rest of the foreseeable future. So. Spiritual implications of spiritual research, but not in the way you'd think.
Though, of course, I've been here for nearly ten years and I am rather hopelessly fond of many parts of the city, now. Enough that I was arguing with the City Magick book in my notes at its characterization of a city's energy as so often too negative. So. A good point in the project to be reading this book, I think, ahha.
Vaguely grumpy that the one book I want to read re: Genius Loci is VERY out of print (like the publisher went belly up) and the author's last 'thinking about self-pub!' was last in June. If I could just FIND a copy...
Let's see...beyond ALL THAT, I'm about to hit a growth phase in my career, too, and with the fall approaching, all things feel very possible to me. I always kind of wake up as soon as summer ends.
Anyway, I don't know if I'm back, but I do know that I'm pleased to have scribbled down some of these thoughts. I hope you all have a lovely day. <3<3

Review: "Johnny's Girls"
Tumblr media
Author: Vesna Kurilić
Date: 31/08/2023
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
________________________________________________________
Along with the horror novella "What Do Nightmares Dream Of" that I bought in Rijeka, I also snatched a copy of "Johhny's Girls", the first part of the "Ranger Paraversum" series. I've heard mixed opinions about this one, but I don't shy away from unconventional books. On the contrary, I actually love giving them a chance.
The book is set in Rijeka, a Croatian coastal town, during the second world war, and follows Lina Malnar who studies to become a so called Cartographer, a navigation specialist for traveling between parallel universes. When she gets asked for help in another world by none other than her doppelganger, Lina finds herself in the difficult situation of pretending to be someone she's not and giving in to her feelings toward another version of herself, while at the same time trying to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of a fellow Cartographer.
"Johnny's girls" centers around the building relationship between Lina and her doppelganger, Karol. It plays out as a romance novel first, and a mystery second. Set in an almost steampunk alternative world and played out in an extravagant mansion, it gives off a very "roaring 20's" aesthetic in the best sense of that word.
The mystery aspect of the novel would fall under the locked-room trope, with no obvious explanation behind the disappearance of Karol's friend, and no reasonable way to escape from the location undetected. It also incorporates the trope of a closed circle of suspects, which is excellently utilized in the closed off party in the mansion. There is a relatively small number of distinct characters, so it is easy to follow them throughout the story.
On the other hand, because Karol's and Lina's relationship often holds the spotlight, the elements connected to the mystery of the disappearance just don't reach up to their potential, especially considering the novel falls under science fiction and involves travel between universes. The suspects could've also used more development, and the grand reveal is underwhelming and, unfortunately, even somewhat disappointing.
The pairing between Karol and Lina definitely is unusual, but still offers an interesting, and special dynamic. Their affection starts of as relatively simple admiration, but quickly evolves into more. Even though they are similar in many ways, their physical appearance and behavior is different enough to establish that they should definitely not be regarded as same. Lina presents very feminine, has a calm and attentive demeanor. Karol, on the other hand, is very masculine, keeps to herself, but is protective and approachable. Their personalities ensure an intense chemistry, but also complement each other, which works well for the plot too.
The particular way in which the author approaches Lina's attraction to Karol makes her devotion incredibly convincing. So much so, that the reader easily falls in love with Karol just by going through Lina's thoughts. The attention to detail is admirable, especially the way Kurilić writes about simple gestures which would go unnoticed by the average bystander. Of course, Karol's physical appearance is talked about in great admiration, but it's her body language that's regarded as deeply alluring. This technique allows for a better impression of Lina and Karol's interest for one another, which in turn increases the interest for their relationship.
Unique, compelling, and striking, "Johnny's Girls" undeniably offers something original. Although the main pairing is obviously not for everyone, it is still extremely charming and offers a generous amount of sweet and passionate moments. I wouldn't exactly recommend this book if you're looking for a mystery, but it is a solid romance that comes with an engaging plot. I, for one, enjoyed it and plan to continue with the series.

In regards to this excellent post, I’d also like to make a post on how I designed my own logo. Zenith’s post gives an excellent breakdown of what elements go into a VTuber logo and things to keep in mind, but not so much how one gets from an idea to a finished logo. So I wanted to share my process, which goes through most of the basic process I learned while studying graphic design in community college.
Before doing anything else, I had to do research. I knew the general style I was going for; I wanted to evoke the y2k aesthetic, or at least somewhere in the late 90s/early 2000s. In particular I wanted to evoke the bright, optimistic aesthetic of certain games I played as a kid (DDR, late 90s to early 2000s Sonic games, Kirby Air Ride, etc.), as well as the Eurobeat music genre, which I’m a big fan of and is part of my overall “theme”.
(Granted, I mostly find myself streaming gothic horror-esque games, but... A bitch can contain multitudes)
So with these ideas in mind, I spent a lot of time looking at y2k graphic design, researching different logos (for example, I looked at some racing logos as well), and eventually I put together an inspiration sheet with logos I wanted to evoke. Not all of these are from the same period, but they have a lot of similar vibes
Tumblr media
Do you see some of the common elements? Text in dense blocks, lots of bold outlines, often a sense of motion, blobby geometric shapes, sans-serif fonts, bright colors. These were some of the things I wanted to keep in mind for my logo.
With my research done, it was time to design the emblem. I really like motorcycles, and they’re... technically supposed to be part of my theme even though I always forget to post about them... So I wanted my emblem to be a motorcycle helmet. (This also fits in with the eurobeat theme, since racing and driving fast is a common theme of eurobeat lyrics, albeit usually about cars and not motorcycles lol.) I sketched out a few variations on what I had in mind.
Tumblr media
I incorporated my horns into the design, since they’re a big part of yknow, me. I also tried a few different decorative elements; The shooting stars are a motif sometimes seen in y2k graphic design, and the fangs are meant to emphasize the demon thing. As for the triangle stripe with the star, it’s meant to evoke the flag of Puerto Rico, but also has a classic racing flair.
After examining the various options and getting input from my friends and family, I settled on the design on the lower right. Next step was doing the black and white lineart.
This is a really important step. A good logo should, ideally, work in plain black and white. Even if you’re limited to just one color, your logo should be readable; This can be useful for things such as printing, stickers and T-shirts, things like that. Ideally you should be able to slap your logo on anything regardless of technical limitations. Am I, or you, necessarily going to do these things? No, but it’s good to be prepared anyway. You never know! So it’s always good to have a black and white variant of your logo.
Tumblr media
This is the design I ended up with. In keeping with the y2k/late 90s/early 2000s style, I used bold lines with heavy weight variation, rounded corners, and a double outline. Now if I were really trying to be professional about it, I would have done it in a vector program rather than Medibang Paint, but I fucking hate vector programs and the only person who needs the files here is me, so I can afford to be sloppy. There’s programs out there that’ll let you vectorize black and white images anyway, so eh.
Next, it was time to add color to the emblem. Again, I had a bunch of different options, so I made several variations and asked for input from my friends and family. (I also put the BW version in the corner for reference.)
Tumblr media
I already had some standard colors I use in my model and my graphics, so it was really just a matter of deciding how to arrange them. By the way, you can really see in the shading just how much inspiration I took from 2000s Sonic the Hedgehog art! Don’t be afraid to take inspiration from things that mean a lot to you, or... Well, inspire you, lol.
Tumblr media
Once again, I ended up choosing the last variation as my winning design. With the emblem done, the next step was choosing a font. Zenith’s post already has some great notes on choosing fonts, so I won’t go into too much detail there, but once again I chose several options and asked for input. Getting feedback from others is a really important part of the graphic design process. It helps you to learn what works and what doesn’t, especially when other people may have different backgrounds than you (Is one of your friends colorblind? Does your art effectively convey its message to someone who doesn’t have the same knowledge of design history? Etc).
I actually chose 15 different font options, but for the sake of brevity I’ll just show four of them.
Tumblr media
In general it’s good practice to do variants in regular caps, no caps, and all caps, but I didn’t do that because uh... I don’t remember why. Anyway, I largely looked for y2k or racing fonts. Admittedly Excelorate is super cute, but I ended up going with Hemi Head, because it’s nice and readable. I believe it’s a popular font in the Eurobeat world as well? I know Odyssey uses it in her graphics sometimes, at least. In any case, it looks nice, it’s not too generic, and it’s really easy to read.
After choosing both an emblem and a typeface, it was time to combine them both into a logo. Again, I started with black and white, both because it’s useful to have and it’s also just easiest to add color later on.
Tumblr media
I spent quite a lot of time fiddling with spacing and such to get it to look neat and tidy. I added a line at the bottom to add balance to an empty space, as well as a sense of motion. To tie it all together, I encapsulated it all in that big chunky outline we’ve seen so much of.
Finally, color. Since I already had a colored version of the emblem, it was pretty easy to build the rest of the logo’s colors from there. I incorporated the purple and pink gradient I’ve used for header text in a lot of my existing graphics, and again I added a fun outline, and... That was it! The logo was finally finished!
Tumblr media
Now, I’m not claiming it’s the most perfect logo in the world. I’m sure there’s things to criticize about it, and plenty of people who just won’t find it appealing. But I think it looks alright, and above all else, I hope this breakdown of how I went from square one to a finished logo is helpful to those of you who may be looking to design your own. I encourage you to do other research as well, and again, to check out Zenith’s excellent post on VTuber logos. (It’s worth noting as well that VTuber logos often have a particular look to them that I personally chose not to go for, but Zenith’s tutorial does a good job of explaining how to achieve that look.)
As a bonus, here’s this thing I made while messing around and trying out different techniques that ended up looking hilariously like the iCarly logo, lmao.

what is it in particular abt cat!yangie and pup!reader in terms of personality and dynamic that feels so different this time around?
Actually there’s a few things. For one, you're both deeply unserious people with those you're close to. Even when you have discussions that are more grounded, like discussing how your fwb arrangement is gonna go, you keep getting sidetracked by making quips. In that conversation it’s actually a good thing, bc it helps break up the awkwardness and ease your nerves since you can joke about it. Your dynamic relies a lot on how much you can joke around together, and the more you can joke and laugh, the more comfortable you are. This is how I feel irl but I don’t write dynamics that rely on humor too much, mostly while I like to think I’m funny 😅, it’s very hard to transcribe my type of humor bc it relies a lot on delivery. The dialogue isn't gonna be the silver tongued, drawn out metaphors I'm used to writing. The dialogue relies a lot more on banter and quick timing, and it don't flow like a perfect script, which I don't write a lot but it feels right for this dynamic. So blending the simpler dialogue with my...let’s call it ✨elaborate✨ prose, will definitely be interesting.
Second, the relationship is not as seamless as I’m used to writing. There’s a natural progression with a basis of friendship first, but like I said it’s more natural, which means it takes more time and starts from a less than romantic place. Most of the stuff on my blog is about characters that're obsessed with each other and completely head over heels for each other, or at the very least become obsessed very quickly, a lotta very unrealistic amplification of feelings bc that shit is fun for me. With these two, it takes a while for them to build up to that. Like yea you both think the other is hot objectively, but you never thought about each other sexually before, it was just like “oh hey there’s my hot friend wanna run out to the convenience store at 2am?”. I'm frankly not used to writing about people that don't immediately lust after each other so that’s been an adjustment 😅. There's also awkward spots before they find their groove and I'm not used to that, but it makes so much sense here. It makes the eventual sweetness that I’m more used to so rewarding.
Another other part is the fact that y’all don’t talk a lot during sex, and when y’all do talk, there’s not that much dirty talk or praise it’s mostly just asking if things are cool before y’all keep going. This was mostly a decision I made as a personal challenge to myself, bc normally I write people who can’t shut tf up during sex. This forces me to focus more on the facial expressions and the actions to let that do the talking, all the other ways to communicate besides words. The music is another element that I’m toying with here, trying to incorporate that more. I’ve incorporated music in my fics before a long time ago, like before I was on tumblr, so I wanna take a new angle, bc what I did before was over the top even for me. I want it to be intricate and elaborate, but still natural for y’all yknow?
If I think of more I’ll add to this, but the tl;dr is I’m stepping out of my comfort zone for this one in a really good way 😁.

Tips for Choosing the Perfect Name
When choosing the perfect name for your travel channel, consider your niche and target audience. Reflect on what sets you apart from other adventure bloggers and try to capture that essence in your name. Keep it short, memorable, and easy to spell to ensure it sticks in people’s minds. Avoid using generic names that don’t convey anything specific about your content or style. Get creative and think outside the box – a unique name can help you stand out in a crowded online space. Consider incorporating elements of wanderlust, exploration, or destinations into your name for added flair. Research potential names to make sure they are not already taken or trademarked by someone else in the travel industry. Check domain availability as well if you plan on creating a website for your channel. Test out different options with friends or family to get feedback before making a final decision. Remember that your travel channel name is often the first impression people will have of your brand, so make sure it resonates with who you are as a content creator and adventurer.
How to Create a Memorable Logo for Your Travel Channel
When it comes to creating a memorable logo for your travel channel, simplicity is key. Think about iconic symbols that represent travel like airplanes, compasses, or globes. Incorporating these elements into your logo can instantly convey the theme of your channel to viewers. Consider using vibrant and eye-catching colors that evoke a sense of adventure and wanderlust. Bold fonts for the name of your channel can make it easily readable and recognizable across different platforms. Remember that less is more when designing a logo. Avoid overcrowding it with too many details or intricate designs that may be difficult to scale down for social media profiles or merchandise. Test out different versions of your logo in black and white to ensure its versatility and impact in various settings. A well-designed logo should be scalable, meaning it looks good whether it’s displayed on a large billboard or a small smartphone screen. Seek feedback from friends or colleagues to get different perspectives on your logo design before finalizing it. Their input can provide valuable insights on how others perceive your brand through its visual representation.

Use hashtags strategically to increase visibility and attract new followers who share your passion for exploration. Encourage user-generated content by featuring posts from travelers using your hashtag or mentioning your channel. This not only builds community but also showcases diverse perspectives on travel experiences. Engage with other travel influencers and brands to collaborate on content or cross-promotions, amplifying your online presence further. Utilize features like live videos or Stories to provide real-time updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses into your travels. By leveraging social media effectively with your catchy travel channel name, you can cultivate a loyal following eager to join you on every journey.
Incorporating SEO into Your Name Choice
When it comes to choosing a name for your travel channel, incorporating SEO tactics can make a significant impact on its visibility online. By selecting keywords related to travel and adventure in your channel name, you increase the chances of attracting more organic traffic from search engines. Consider including location-specific terms if your blog focuses on particular destinations or regions. This will help target audiences looking for content related to those places specifically. Additionally, using unique and memorable words in your channel name can set you apart from competitors and make it easier for users to remember your brand. Research popular search terms within the travel industry and try integrating them creatively into your channel name while still maintaining originality. Remember that a well-thought-out SEO strategy can enhance the discoverability of your travel channel among potential followers and readers alike.
The Importance of Consistency in Branding
Consistency in branding is key to establishing a strong identity for your travel channel. By maintaining uniformity in your name, logo, and overall message across all platforms, you can build credibility and trust with your audience. Remember to stay true to your brand’s values and mission as you continue to grow and expand your adventure blog.
