Hsy’s last words in this chapter feel so final, so unforgiving. The only feeling they induce is quiet despair (it wasn’t supposed to end like that)

Hi Nikki!! I’ve been reading your works for a while and I’ve just finished reading chapter 6 of a sea in bloom and if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes in my message today then that’s because I’m crying rn so bear with me please

First of all, I love how you’ve paced the story so far. There were a lot of emotions and pining and a lot of building up which you then calmed down with the chapter of reader revival ofc. I love it. So well done.

Secondly, this: “The sun rises as it has done for a thousand years before him. The sun sets as it always will a thousand years after him.” I’m in love with these sentences. My heart aches every single time I’ve read it in your story. Idk what it is about it, my heart feels calm but it also aches. There’s so much depth and feeling in just those sentences alone that I can’t express it through words.

Thirdly, this:

““What does it mean if you blow all the seeds away in a single breath?”

A shy smile playing at the corner of your mouth is all the answer he needs to know.

He should’ve pruned any budding affection you might have for him in that moment, but his judgment is impaired. Eyes off the steering wheel just for an instant and his heart bursts into a wilderness of flowers, a sea in bloom. ”

I love how you included his memories of reader. And the section above really tugged on my heart. Like he knew. He knew but he didn’t believe he was enough for her. I look so ugly right now from all the crying I’ve done.

I’m always here on anon but like I always say, you truly have a way with your words, oh my gosh I can’t even explain how many times I’ve cried today since I started reading the series.

I hope you have a lovely day, I’m going to go finish the last two chapter and hopefully try not to cry anymore because I need to go to work tonight. i feel like the trick to my pacing is...actly i just try to give my characters room to breathe and live, and it's in those little moments and spaces that we discover the story through them. it's truly a build up of pining and loving until the devastating tear down and rejection and i hope you enjoy the final two chapters :)

ahh that line "the sun rises as it has done for a thousand years before him. the sun sets as it always will a thousand years after him.” it's that feeling of muted despair i think, that i was trying to get at. that kita chooses to be trapped by his familial obligations that stretches back in time, and that sense of inevitability like his future will be without the reader, without happiness.

ooh that little moment. when i was writing that scene i saw it (idk if it sounds weird) in pastel tones, the dandelions seeds blowing away into the summer breeze before bursting into colour as Kita's love for the reader hits him but it's just interspersed with cut scenes of a car wreck and ugh i hurt that lovely boy so much adlksfjsdlk;jfasd.

omg no i just rly try my best ahhhh. i don't feel talented by any means but...yeah i struggle ALOT when i write and i don't write the fastest bcos i keep rethinking my words and plot points and it can take forever for me to even write a sentence so...im glad y'all enjoyed it cos THIS FIC WAS SO DIFFICULT TO WRITE COS IT HAD TO BE JUST RIGHT.

Great video package but I have to highlight the way Sasha just sat there against the ropes staring at Bayley for what, 2 minutes? Before even acknowledging she had won the title. That was fantastic.
