If you know nothing else about physics, my word to my followers is this: physicists do not care about the multiverse theory nearly as much self-important philosophers writing opinion pieces in science magazines think we do.

#Philosophy as a concept is great #philosophy of physics writers trying to convince the general public of their particular theory on the multiverse / anthropic principle #are damnably infuriating. #They'd have you think that all of us think it's a vital part of modern science #it's literally not #we're aware it's not currently falsifiable #we're not stupid #no one cares about the multiverse theory. #The Physicist Viewpoint on it as far as I'm aware is basically that the idea has been shelved until a later date. #When we figure out how to meaningfully investigate the origin of the universe / quantum collapse. #I have read FAR more articles in pop science magazines from philosophers who think they have The Real Answer #than I have ever heard any actual physicist even mention the theory. #uh sorry #anyways #physics

Hello! Im hoping to receive some life advice. How do you know its time to quit your job? Wanted to hear your thoughts because everyday feels overwhelming and empty at the same time. Its like im constantly being consumed. Is that a normal feeling and im just maladjusted and all jobs are like that?

I know you mostly post about bl and if you dont feel like answering this, i would like to say thank you still

Honestly? I have no idea. My best response is to try talking to people who know you and your job.

But I've also spent my entire life being lucky in that regard. I've never truly worked a job like that, all of my jobs have been passion for me and even when I've been at my lowest in a job I was able to find another one before I quit.

At least part of my response is to start looking. Look at other jobs, look for other ways to support yourself, new hobbies, new passions, try to change something because even a little change can make something bigger happen sometimes.

I don't think that feeling is normal but it might not just be about the job.

Anyway.

Do your best, anon! You're not alone and there are better days in the future.
