Oh, interesting question! I think,, he'd be kinda put off in the sense of,,, why would you wanna do that? Adopting? Establishing family bonds? With outsiders?? How does that even work you weirdo. Gosh humans are strange.

If you're close with him, he'd be interested to see how it pans out (though he's confused why you can't just be friends instead of having this weird adopted sibling relationship) If you're not that close, he'll just dismiss the idea entirely.

(This fic is a fucking delight, it's just KEEPS feeding you "oh shit" moments and suspense and revelations and the pacing just keeps you on the edge of your SEAT. Again, IGNORE the WIP status I BEG OF YOU, read it, devour it)

This Rough Magic by @avelera (Mature - WIP - 36k so far - Rescue fic with a twist) Hob Gadling never fancied himself a mage or a warlock, but dabbled enough in the occult to pick up a few tricks over the years, all in the hope to communicate with his Stranger. A stranger, he later discovers, who is trapped under Roderick The Fucking Magus Burgess's manor. Now, he may not be the best magic wielder there is.... but Burgess doesn't know that, does he? (There are some VERY clever things in this fic, everyone is written to a T, I love a fic where my loathing of Burgess can burn from the brightest flame and at the same time have him not like a cartoon villain but a full human being! Can't wait to see where that goes!)

(Listen, I read this on a whim, I wasn't too into Human AUs at the time, I was up for some smut that day, and this fic is a LOT more wholesome than the subject lets on and really gripped me! Lots of very nice details in there! And also, you know.... smut)

Callers are... unimaginative and unoriginal, to say the least. Except one. He has a very nice voice. He's funny. And he sounds just about as lost as he is, in life. (The tags make it sound super raunchy but it's more about developping attraction through someone's voice and getting to know someone through the phone and falling in love and.... it's just lovely, it's very sweet, it's like a little blanket with a warm cup of tea, really)

Now I KNOW this is not what you EXPLICITELY asked for but.... dare I suggest..... something with an OC thrown in the mix? Cause that's just adding a fun player to the game, with added stakes, really!

Dream tries his darnest to hate her, and finds he can't quite bring himself to. (It's soft, it's lovely, it has angst, it has smut, it has fluff for days, it has developping relationships GALORE (plural) and it's just a nice read to switch up your rotation, cause the potential for situations is tripled now!)

Hello Gloam I am still thinking about Death of Translation after having a little cry about the concept of lost language (and saving it and sharing it) so I have come, in exchange, to entrust some nearly-lost Irish linguistic knowledge to you because I dwell on it a great deal and think you would also find it interesting.

In Irish, the phrase you'd use in place of "I'm sorry" is "Tá brón orm" which literally translated would be "I have sorrow/grief/regret on me", in the sense of wearing something (you could equally say "tá hata orm" if you had a hat on and that would be the normal phrase). This is true as well for happiness/joy (athás). One might say a person was wearing their sorrow poetically in English but in Irish that's just literally how you say it.

(Wearing an abstract concept metaphorically comes up a lot actually but it's extremely direct and literal in the feelings department)

The transliteration of “I’m sorry” is obviously ridiculously poetic but also it’s so interesting especially in a cultural sense – to English ears the permanence of emotions definitely feels altered if “to wear/have on” is the default verb rather than “to be” or even “to have” as an unadulterated possessive.

(I’ve got so many follow-up questions! Do you wear sickness and health? Do you wear your age? What linguistic differences distinguish wearing abstract concepts literally v metaphorically? Is there a different verb altogether for having something that’s not on you, or is it only modified? If remorse is a noun how is it commonly amplified? Can you have lots of sorries on you, so to speak, or do you have one very big or earnest sorry on you? am HOOKED now look what you’ve done)

Probably nothing good 😅 I think my Eddie is the more outwardly jealous of the two even more so then Venom. I recall one panel where Venom didn't really want to choose between Flash and Eddie as they love them both very much. So Eddie afterwards, while on good terms with Flash probs still feels a lil left over jealousy over it.

My Eddie wouldn't have much patience with his other variants, especially those with a more chaotic relationship with their respective symbiote. He's aware his version of Venom is pretty chill in comparison so when other Eddies comment on how his Venom seems nicer he goes all guard dog like HEY this is mine! Work shit out with your own partner! 😡

Honestly I feel a Venomverse scenario wouldn't be organized at all, I feel it would be a bunch of different Eddies yelling at each other, while the non Eddie variants just try to form some semblance of a team. I heard there's some wild stuff is going on in the Death of the Venomverse comic but I'm not sure if I wanna read Carnage just going around murking everyone on sight😅 Venomverse is still one of my fav comics cause I just love all the fan service of seeing different characters with the symbiote.

ok starting with imogen. i can't believe it's basically canon that girl's been kinda in love with laudna for so long. like i knew it but i didn't Know it and now i Know it and don't know what to Do with it except be like oh babe. i'm so happy for you for making that move. and the speed at which imogen steered the conversation to that point as soon as they were alone is so endearing, the way she was about to overflow with the need to ask that question. also marisha being like "this wasn't supposed to happen to my dead girl" and laura going "i know :( i know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" bc sometimes the character wants what the character wants and this character wanted this so so so so so so so so bad

LAUDNA ON THE OTHER HAND.

i've seen a few other ppl say this and i certainly agree that laudna's reaction to being asked "can i kiss you" and what happened afterward is very ambiguous and i'm so curious what the Hell fuck is going on in her head now

what does it mean when someone asks if they can kiss you and you just say "ALRIGHT." like it's not an inconvenience and it wouldn't bother you so sure they can do what they want, you don't mind. it's not a "yes i want you to do that" it's a "yes i won't be upset if you do that" and those are different!! it could easily be either "i was not expecting this holy shit what do i do oh my god wait what okay wait just let her do it first and figure it out later" because laudna as we all know is romantically emotionally stunted. but also it could be "imogen wants this and what imogen wants i will give to her no matter what it is and this is an easy thing to give" which is,hmm,,,,unhealthy

and then immediately launching into like. i think i need you to be with me in order to be a good person. i think i can't separate from you without destroying myself or hating myself. and imogen going "you're not a bad person" and laudna kissing her again like she needs to Consume that in order to believe it

i'm kinda swinging between multiple interpretations of this, the first being like. laudna recognizing that imogen is showing interest and commitment to her but also coming from such a harrowing experience and needing to put that on the table first. "i don't think you realize that i'm unstable. i'm a bad person. i'm unlovable because you're the only thing keeping me from hurting everyone else." she doesn't explicitly say it but it'd be easy to see the implication of "are you sure you want this, want me?" and imogen saying with so much quiet conviction "you're not a bad person you're not a bad person" is why she kissed her again, because she needed to hear it and hearing that imogen still wants her despite her warnings makes her more confident to initiate a lil kiss or two by herself too

but there are so many other routes to take it. did she recognize that kissing is what imogen wants and therefore kissed her only as a way to say thank you for calling me a good person, almost like a reward, a purely transactional thing on laudna's part? did she not enjoy the first kiss but feel like she needed to try again to maybe convince herself to like it because imogen is so nice and wonderful and amazing that she should like it, what if not liking it makes her an even worse person? did she kiss her because she didn't know what to say in response because she didn't believe imogen's words at all and it was an easy distraction? did she just want to kiss her again so bad so she just did it?

idk maybe we're all reading way too much into this dkfjskdfjs but i think any option could be believable and i have things i like and dislike about each theory, and i love the fact that it wasn't a straightforward "omg yes please kiss me we're dating now!" bc it's so chewy and juicy and fun. if laura and marisha aren't on the next episode of 4-sided dive i MIGHT fly to LA and storm the set

anyway regardless of what's going on in laudna's head, i think it's safe to say that it's not a great sign of her general State Of Mental Health when she was kissed by her bestest bestie and STILL bor'dor and delilah were what she wanted to talk about. i think you'd have to be in a Very bad place for a reunion and a kiss with your fav person to not distract you, at least for a little bit, from talking about that stuff. how imodna's relationship changes moving forward (if at all) will be v interesting to see and i'm so so ssosososo os osos oso so os excited.

oh also before i end this post, just want to acknowledge that i'm assuming laura and marisha discussed it during the break and decided to keep it a secret from the rest of the party. i'm SURE we'll see some interesting discussions about that moving forward, both from laudna and imogen when they're alone + the rest of the party once they find out. i'm not thinking too hard about that decision, i think there are countless mundane and harmless reasons to keep it a secret for now, so i'm just gonna look forward to future eps!!

hi. this might sound very funny given the muse but try not to steal from me. i know i talk a lot about my portrayal if not the series itself all the time, and i'm happy to always try to share canon resources/material while being more than welcoming of dupes, (i still love them very much,) but many, many, many of my metas, even the ones that might seem like 'base canon,' are usually still laced with my personal interpretations or outright headcanons that i'm not comfortable with being overly plagiarized, at least especially without being asked or spoken to. (it's also because my hcs are sprinkled in so much that i like to think i can tell.) muses should bear their own integrity and be able to stand on their own as their own characterization. some overlap is inevitable when multiple people are writing the same character, but it just gets weird when, as soon as one person writes or talks about something, it seems to show up immediately in another person's portrayal when it wasn't there before. don't use me as an interpretation resource outside of learning about my own specific portrayal for rp; read canon and come to your own conclusions.
