Fallout Casting for Satoru "Kakashi-sensei" Gojojojo for Jujutsu Kaisen Abridged react fic
Tumblr media
"Five bucks and I'll tongue punch your fart box." - Satoru Gojo, Episode 3 JJK Abridged (by The Schmuck Squad).
Tumblr media
Reasons To Why I Believe These Characters Should Be Cast As The Variant of JJK Abridge's Satoru Gojo are listed below the cut:
Elrand Brandt (Fallout Vault Dweller OC, faceclaim Jason Statham) -> In his twenties and had told the Master to kill himself.
Finidy Mona (Fallout 2 Chosen One OC, faceclaim Jessica Alba) -> "Chosen One" will be as close to "Honored One" as Fallout will get.
Alph Dolen (Fallout 3 Lone Wanderer OC, faceclaim Sam Blackensee. Has transformed into a Ghoul) -> Fawkes talked about how it was his destiny to save Project Purity and his hopes and dreams died in his early twenties.
Raul Alfonso Tejada (a ghoul mechanic that helps out Ryder in Fallout New Vegas, follows her around after she saved him on Black Mountain and is inspired to pick up his guns again to protect those of lesser fortune) -> He's badass and voiced by Danny Trejo. Also got very father-figure vibes going on. And lost a young female companion (his sister) like Gojo had (Riko) whom they were both trying to protect.
Nate Gust Sarid (Fallout 4 Sole Survivor OC, faceclaim Steven He. He is a Synthetic Human) -> The SPECIAL cheat stats make a lot more sense with him given the context that he's a synth, which could be similar to Gojo's cheat skills in general. Not to mention they're both (basically) fathers (Shaun for Nate and Yuji & Megumi for Gojo).
Vega (Fallout 76 Resident OC, faceclaim Yvonne Strahovski. Has transformed into a Super Mutant) -> Both are selfish and have unbreakable egos.
Tycho (from Fallout, a Nevada ranger who's wandered the Wasteland of California, he helps Elrand beat Gizmo and takes on the Master's Super Mutant army) -> Hides his face and a total all around badass.
Roger Westin (from Fallout 2, an NCR congressman fighting against the corruption within the New California Republic with underhanded tactics to build a peaceful, civil expansion into the north) -> Badass breaking the rules to do the right thing.
Butch DeLoria (from Fallout 3, Alph's former childhood bully in Vault 101, now one of his closest allies after the Lone Wanderer saved the life of Butch's mother from Radroaches. After Alph and Amata we're run out of the Vault, Butch helped build up the rebellion against Overseer Almodovar, and had managed to slip out of the vault to get Alph and Amata's help. After resolving the issue, Butch joined up with Alph and Amata to wander the Capital Wasteland, becoming the founding members of the newest Tunnel Snakes) -> He's rocking a style and while he can come off as a jerk, he's got a heart of gold, though never a push-over.
Joshua Graham (from Fallout New Vegas' Honest Hearts DLC, Joshua is Caesar's former Legate, now known as "the Burned Man", he resides in Zion to help the Dead Horses (as well as Daniel and the Sorrows) against the threat of the White Legs. Ryder gets some very important insight from him on how to deal with Caesar's Legion) -> Okay, so his eyes aren't blindfolded, but he is bandaged up elsewhere. And not to mention his voice is captivating. And he'd probably despise his Gojo variant which makes for some humorous opportunities.
Deacon (from Fallout 4, the Railroad's top intelligence agent and overall the best spymaster you'll ever meet, he trains Nate in the art of espionage and being a better liar. Had given Nate trust issues for a while when partnered together. He also helps Nate discover he is a synth and come to terms with his newfound existence) -> He's got the charisma. He's got the sunglasses. He's got the lies and the confidence. He's got the vibe of a responsible irresponsible adult. He's got the vibes of a back-alley drug dealer guaranteed to give you the good stuff and be there with you to make sure it goes alright. He's probably stolen caps from Carrington. He's the man. The goat. The guy the Railroad keep around because he's really good at his job even if his tactics are questionable sometimes.
Remember, for the alternative option, REBLOG and put in the tags WHO else from the Fallout franchise should be Abridged!Gojo and WHY you think they'd better suit the role.
I've also created and will continue to update (until the polling is done) a Master List for the poll results of the casted winners. You can find it right here.
You can find my Fallout OC profiles Master List right here, which also includes a link to the original post where I pitched my react fic idea. Anyway, hope you enjoyed, chow!

Fallout OC asks, dealer's choice of character: 1, 2, 9 and 31?
Tumblr media
IM SO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG TO ANSWER....I got carried away and wanted to talk about all of my fallout OCs.... All of my characters include... Schaefer (Schae) Hartmann and her wife, Toni. Their descendants are my two characters Loretta (Rhett) Locklear and River Hartmann (they're cousins!) Jack and his granddaughter, Mariposa. The other non related characters are Claire, Sherry, and Danny! Answers, below the cut! It's a doozy. :)
1. All of my characters are human! The exception is Danny, a ghoul who's lived all over the wastes since the Great War. 2. Schae (pronounced Shay) is my 76er. She was born inside Vault 76. Rhett is my Courier 6, Jack is my Vault Dweller, his granddaughter Mariposa is my Chosen one, Claire is my Warrior (Fallout Tactics protag) and Sherry is my Lone Wanderer! Yes, I don't have a Sole Survivor! To me, FO4 is a little harder to come up with a character for as they feel a little more boxed in by an identity (ie, parent who is a soldier/lawyer depending if you pick nate or nora.) 9. Schae & Toni: Schae grew up in Vault 76, and on reclamation day set off into the Appalachian wastes. Toni grew up in WV but originally her family came from Nevada, where they decided to move back out to years later. They say Schae had some strange mutations from living in the wastes, and could "jump as high as a jackalope." Rumor has it, she lives ghoulified out in the world, still hunting for Cryptids. Rhett & River: Cousins who grew up on the same Brahmin far, they didn't get along until their adulthood. River left home young to pursue a music and radio host career, as well as to seek a medical transition, while eventually Rhett became a Courier for the Mojave express. River now travels all over the wastes collecting music holotapes and stories. Jack: My Vault 13 Dweller, being forced out into the wastes at 18 to find a new water chip for his Vault. His backstory is pretty straight forward from there, following the events of the game. At some point in his 60s, he suddenly left Arroyo, to never be seen again. Mariposa: A name chosen by her grandfather, naturally Mariposa was destined to become the Chosen One of her tribe. She's bright and spunky, but quick on her feet and witty. With her Highwayman full of companions, she set off to save her tribe. Sherry: Sherry was originally just a bit of a self insert character from my first Fallout 3 play through, but she's evolved since then. (IE, when I started new games, I typically just made the character myself) but she's pretty different now, and is named after the 4 Seasons song, Sherry. Claire: Claire is currently the least fleshed out, because I'm still working through my Tactics playthrough! But she's a BOS Scribe. :) Danny: Fun fact! Danny was my first and oldest fallout OC. She originally started as a Fallout 3 OC, but she's evolved since. She was living in DC when the Great War happened and has since spent her days as a wanderer. 31. River wants to leave a lasting imprint on people through his music and his radio Broadcast, Little Brahmin Blues. Both Mariposa and Sherry want to change and improve the wastes for the better, while Jack has a disdain for his legacy seeing as how it cost him his place in his Vault.

Celebrities Who Were in ‘Fallout’ Games Part 1
You may not know this, but the Fallout game franchise has actually had famous celebrities guest star in their games. Some you may know, and some you may not have heard of, but maybe you recognized their voices without realizing it.
Tumblr media
1. Keith David
Tumblr media
Keith David is a voice actor who is known for voicing ‘Goliath’ in Gargoyles, ‘Dr. Facilier’ in The Princess and the Frog, ‘Flame King’ in Adventure Time, and ‘King Andrias’ in Amphibia. Besides cartoon characters, Keith David also voiced characters in other video games, such as ‘The Arbiter’ in the Halo series, ‘David Anderson’ in the Mass Effect series, ‘Sgt. Foley, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Al Simmons/Spawn in Mortal Combat 11.
In the very first Fallout video game, Keith David voiced a man named ‘Decker’, who was a powerful crime boss in The Hub. Decker rules over the crime ridden city of The Undergrounder, and can offer two jobs to the Vault Dweller...but you can also bring down his criminal empire with the help of The Hub authorities.
Overall, Keith David’s excellent voice acting skills really do fit within the Fallout universe.

2. Katherine Soucie
Tumblr media
Katherine Soucie is a voice actress who has played many characters in cartoons from the 90′s and 2000′s, such as: ‘Phil and Lil’ in Rugrats, ‘Maddie Fenton’ in Danny Phantom, ‘Lola Bunny’ in Space Jam, and ‘Kanga’ in the Winnie the Pooh franchise.  Besides cartoons, Katherine Soucie also voiced characters in video games such as: ‘Rachni Queen/Kaira Stirling/Greta Reynolds’ in Mass Effect, ‘Sally/Shock’ in The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge, ‘Taro’ in Final Fantasy X, and ‘Naryu Virian’ in The Elder Scrolls Online.
In the first Fallout game, Katherine Soucie voiced two characters. The first character was a girl named ‘Laura’, who is a member of the Children of the Cathedral and a spy for the Followers of the Apocalypse. Laura pretends to be meek, submissive, and quite to hide the fact that she is a spy for another cult, and is actually quite strong and sharp. If the Vault Dweller gives her a password, she will help them enter the LA Vault. Another character that Katherine Soucie played in the same game is The Master’s female voice. The Master is the main villain of the first game, and is the one creating the Super Mutants that ravage the Wastelands.
Katherine Soucie has returned in the recent Fallout game, Fallout 76, voicing robots and a Crater Raider named ‘Surge’, who will betray the leader of the Crater Raiders if we ask the Raiders for help in breaking into Vault 79.
Katherine Soucie is a veteran voice actress who has played characters from our childhoods and continues to do amazing work.

Tony Jay is a voice actor who was known for voicing villains in animated movies and tv shows, such as: ‘Judge Claude Frollo’ in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, ‘Shere Khan’ in The Jungle Book 2 and Talespin, ‘Megabyte’ in Reboot, and ‘Monsieur D'Arque’ in Beauty and the Beast.
In the first Fallout game, Tony Jay voiced an intelligent Super Mutant named ‘Lieutenant’ who is the right hand man of The Master and the commander of the Mariposa Military Base. Lieutenant known for being more intelligent than most Super Mutants and has important information about The Master, which can come in handy for the Vault Dweller.
Tony Jay also voiced another Super Mutant character named ‘Attis’ and was also the narrator in Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. Like Lieutenant, Attis is highly intelligent for a Super Mutant and created an army from the remnants of The Master’s fallen army. He is the Brotherhood of Steel’s greatest enemy and is the main antagonist/final boss of the game.
Tony Jay’s voice was perfect for dark, cruel villains. Sadly, he passed away in 2006 at the age of 73...but he will always be remembered for his excellent voice work.

Cree Summer returned in Fallout 2, but as a different character named ‘Joanne Lynette’. Joan Lynette is a woman who is the pillar of the community, Vault City, who seeks the Chosen One’s help and can exile them from vault City if the Chosen One gets on her bad side. creatures of the sea
Danny Phantom/Percy Jackson fanfic. Summary: When Danny - freshly established in the coast of Miami as a powerful part-mer - attends a family reunion, things go wrong.
-
Danny has extended family. But today he discovers it’s big.
He’s never seen half these people in his life. There’s Aunt Alicia with Mom at the buffet table. A couple of cousins wrestling at the bow. His Dad and uncle are having a fudge eating competition somewhere. But why are there thirty people here? Where did they come from?
Maybe it’s because his parents are the ones hosting the reunion this year, and instead of city homes or suburban farms, it’s held on the Fenton Family Mer Assault Yacht. Or the FFMAY, as Tucker calls it.
But it’s not their usual FFMAY. Their usual FFMAY is a Frankenstein of inventions twisted into a vessel that functions against all odds. It’s currently sitting in storage.
FFMAY 2.0 is an upgrade – sleek and shiny and twice as big, with engines thrice as strong and grandeur that went from nah to woah.
It’s also sponsored by Vlad Masters.
“The labs are so advanced,” Maddie gasped when the Fentons first explored their gift, “and the weapons vault, there’s so much space!”
Jack was sold the minute he found the fudge machine. Jazz looked impressed, staring up at the three decks, the floor to ceiling windows, even the damn automatic door that ran on facial recognition software.
A pale blue light scanned the faces of an astonished Jazz and her sulking brother. The door slid open with a whish!  “I heard the map room has a ton of books,” she said as she stepped through. “We’re really lucky to have a billionaire as our family friend.”
“But it’s Vlad,” Danny complained. The door shut in his face.
So while Danny doesn’t doubt these people on the yacht are related to him in some distant way, he also doesn’t doubt two things: 1) They only came because it smells like rich people money, and 2) Plasmius is going to show his blobfish mug within the next couple hours. He skulks at a corner of the highest deck with his arms crossed and an impressive scowl.
The breeze tussles his hair, bringing with it the scent of salt water. The ocean glitters, calm and inviting, and Danny wants nothing more than take a dive. But he feels like he’s just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
When Tucker calls him on the Fenton phones to keep him company, he whines to his best friend about the woes of having an archenemy.
The techno-geek isn’t having it.
“You can’t keep worrying like this, dude, or your hair’s gonna go gray even in human form. Go talk to people, play a game on your phone, eat a muffin! Speaking of muffins, can you save me some from the buffet?”
“I don’t know. Mom was trying out her new recipe,” Danny says, sighing. He braces his elbows on the railings as he scans the sea. He feels tired. “Some of the muffins turned into a bunch of colors. I don’t even know if they’re safe to eat.”
“Really?” a new voice says.
Danny jumps, swiveling around. An older boy in a T-shirt and ragged jeans frowns at him, holding a blue, half-eaten muffin in a hand. “But this one’s really good.”
“Oh.” Danny wracks his brain for a memory of this person. It turns up blank. “It does?”
The guy smiles crookedly. He’s tall, with messy black hair and a handsome face. Looks about sixteen, though Danny can’t place his ethnicity. Despite his friendly demeanor, the teen’s stormy green eyes hold power.
Danny’s unnerved. Is he a distant cousin? Adopted child? Someone’s half-brother?
Tucker’s voice next to his ear asks what’s up.
“I’ll call you later,” Danny says in a low voice, turning off the comm link.
“Sorry, I didn’t realize you were talking to someone.” The older teen frowns. His gaze pins Danny in place. “Are you the Phantom?”
“Wha-” Danny catches himself. “Ha-ha, Phantom? No, not- not sure what you’re talking about. No.”
The two stare at each other. Danny stamps down the panic crawling up his throat, but the other teen raises his hands, palms out. He’s still holding the muffin. “Hey, it’s okay. I didn’t expect to see you here. I’m-”
Something slams into the yacht.
The vessel lurches, tossing the guy backwards. Danny catches himself against the railings before the yacht rocks back into position, sending a wave splashing down onto the lower decks. Screams ring the air as people topple like bowling pins against the floors. Around them, liquids slosh and plates crash.
“I knew it.” Danny searches for the attacker in the water that’s now choppy with waves. The hull of the starboard is smoking but intact. The other teen appears next to him, scanning the scene. Danny keeps a wary eye on him.
Suddenly, a column of water bursts out of the sea. It unravels and parts, like curtains on a stage, revealing a green-skinned man whose torso melts into tentacles as long as the yacht. His singular red eye flicks to the two teenagers on the yacht, narrowing when they land on Danny.
“Phantom!” he roars.
“I don’t recognize this monster,” mystery guy says.
Danny grits his teeth. “Why would you know about monsters?”
“I come in the name of Lord Plasmius!” said monster continues to shout. “Heed my challenge to a mighty duel, or this vessel and its land-dwellers will face my wrath!”
Right on cue, a dozen grappling hooks shoot out from the ocean surface like canons, descending and hooking their claws onto the railings of the first deck. Their ropes pull taut, then to Danny’s horror, the whole yacht begins to tilt. Two of the guests on the second deck lose their bearings, and with shouts they tumble over the railing, falling into the sea.
Heart in his throat, Danny recognizes one of them. “Aunt Alicia!”
The woman could handle herself, he knew, but not against whatever else was beneath the waves, on the other end of the hooks. And there was the other person who fell in. He steps up to the railings, prepared to dive in after them, when a blast nearly crashes into him. Looking high and mighty in the air and palms still glowing with power, octopus man snarls, revealing sharp teeth.
“Will the famous creature of this sea refuse me?”
“You get them,” the other teen commands suddenly, green eyes hard. “I’ll show this guy the real meaning of creature of the sea.”
“What?”
He pulls out something from his jeans pocket. Danny realizes it’s a pen and the guy pops the cap off. In a swift moment, he’s pointing a long, bronze sword at octopus man.
Danny gapes. “Who are you?”
“Percy Jackson.” He grins, then he yells at the monster, “Hey slime-ball, why don’t you challenge me to a duel!”
Octopus man’s eye flickers to him. Danny sees his hands powering up, the tentacles beginning to twist in agitation, the water around him bubbling in reflection of his rage.
Danny doesn’t want to rely on a stranger, but there’s no time. So Danny takes the risk and leaps over the edge of the yacht, willing the transformation to take hold as he plunges into the water.
Whoever Percy Jackson is, Danny will have to trust him for today.

WIP Wednesday
I am alive and i have a new wip
god has cursed me for my hubris, and my work is never finished
Deacon strolls in through Diamond City’s great gates. Or rather, Vicki does, a familiar face that Danny the gate guard waves right in. Vicki’s a trustworthy enough gal, never quite well-dressed enough to draw attention but much too clean to be mistaken for a raider or other questionable sort, comes in occasionally on her own, is friendly with everyone, never causes trouble, always circulates a respectable amount of caps and equipment. Sometimes stays a day or few at the Dugout, keeps Vadim’s boisterous attention entertained at the bar, then leaves with just as little fanfare. Vicki is quiet and inconspicuous and a nobody, and she can get in and out of Diamond City on short notice with little prep, and has several stashes of her flannels and bob wig hidden inside and out of the city. Vicki is the perfect cover for ops like this.
The vault dweller and her escort, the one and only Preston Garvey, Commonwealth Minuteman, aren’t making any attempt to be particularly subtle in their intended destination. After a remarkable bit of faff around the merchant Trudy and that molerat-filled old drive-in, they had started directly down the road to DC. Which gave Deacon the opportunity to peel off early and meet them at the gate, literally.
Vicki slips out of sight and a DC security guard soon emerges. She’s Gail when questioned, but nearly always she’s just the silent nameless guard in the corner. And who also desperately wishes for one of those fancy heavy helmets, the kind with the full face mask and goggles, but those were apparently restricted to the upper echelons of the force. Due to concerns about potential infiltration, apparently, given their impressive face-hiding potential. Silly. But it means that the only alternative for Gail is always the helmetless-plus-sunglasses route, which also stands out a bit, but is better than leaving her eyes visible.
But when she slips into Danny’s gate office to lurk in the corner with no more than a grunted nod from her and a slightly suspicious glance from him, it’s not Garvey’s voice that comes over the speaker requesting entrance to the city. It’s Piper Wright’s.

chapter one - idiots
Stella wondered how she stumbled in a police station, fighting feral ghouls with a man who battle cried. One minute she was looking for her friends, Lucas and Joanna and the next was involved in military business. She knew that they needed help, even one man in power armor couldn’t take all those ferals at once. She saw one of his men down, lazily shooting at them as a woman was tending to him. She was hoping to ask if they have seen her idiot friends and she would be on her way back to Endcliff in hopes they would be there.
Stella was caught off guard by looking at the women tending to the man as he gave up as a feral flung at her, knocking her to the ground. This has happened more times then she’d like to admit. She reached for her gun as she used the back of it to bash in the skull of the feral ghoul. “Filthy fucker!” She yelled as she jumped back up and shot the feral in the head, just to make sure. The man in the power armor was fighting three more ferals, the number of them decreases. He seemed to have a hard time as one of them attacked his arm. Stella was a master at headshots and with three bullets and a steady eye killed each and every one of them. Stella looked down the street to see if any more were coming, but it was clear, thankfully.
Stella was unsure if she should stay around, after all, she could tell this was the Brotherhood of Steel territory. She only knew that from the orange outfits and the symbols that were around the police station. A while ago she bumped into a wounding scribe by the name of Danny. The man in the power armor came up to Stella as she held her gun close to her chest. Stella looked at the man’s face and couldn’t help notice how handsome he was. Her face grew red but hoped he didn’t notice due to the blood that was splattered on her skin. “We appreciate the assistance, civilian. But what’s your business here?” The man asked, his voice deep and more calming then his battle cry. Stella raised an eyebrow, remembering the idiots she called family. She let out a smirk, hoping that they didn’t get kidnapped by raiders… again.
“Looking for two idiots. Who are you?” Stella asked nodding her head at the man. Stella put her gun back in her hoser as she crossed her arms.
“I’m Paladin Danse, Brotherhood of Steel. If I appear suspicious, it’s because our mission here has been difficult. Since the moment we arrived in the Commonwealth, we’ve been constantly under fire. If you want to continue pitching in, we could use an extra gun on our side,” The paladin spoke. Stella could use this to her advantage.
“Will do, but I need your help in return,” Stella spoke. “You know those idiots I referred too? Their the closest thing to family I got. It’s like them to trail off and get kidnapped by raiders or hideout for 2 days surrounded by feral ghouls. This time they promised me they would stay close and well, no one other than me is here. We’re from Endcliff, so making our way to the middle of the Commonwealth is a mission. Luckily, I got a signal from one of my teammates and it led me to Cambridge. Any help would mean a lot before I make way back home to see them there or not,” Stella sighed, frustrated at Lucas and Joanna. She hated traveling back home alone.
“Over there is Scribe Haylen and Knight Rhys, Haylen will help decode the signal for you and track down where your team is, but we need your help,” The paladin spoke as Stella put a hand on her hip, listing.
“What do you need me to help with?” Stella asked
“We’re on recon duty, but I’m down a man and our supplies are running low. I’ve been trying to send a distress call to my superiors, but the signal’s too weak to reach them,” Stella could see the worry in the paladin’s eyes and couldn’t help but feel bad for him and his team. The women that were tending to the man, now known as Scribe Halen turned to Stella and Danse, butting in.
“Sir, if I may?” Haylen began.
“Proceed Haylen,” Danse instructed, Stella, raised her brow.
“I’ve modified the radio tower on the roof of the police station, but I’m afraid it’s not enough. What we need is something that will boost the signal,” Haylen informed Paladin Danse and Stella.
“We need a deep range transmitter, our target is ArcJet Systems. We secure the area, get the transmitter and bring it back here. Will you be willing to help us get it?” Danse asked.
“I said yes, didn’t I? Let’s get you a new transmitter,” Stella smiled.
“Sounds like a plan, stay behind me,”
***
Fucking synths! Stella had to fight first-gen synths just to get that stupid transmitter. Almost died twice, but with a little will, she got that transmitter. Haylen was decoding the signal she got on her Pip-Boy to see where Lucas and Joanna where. Danse and Stella were making their way back to the police station, Danse was explaining some stuff on their way there and back, but Stella kind of blacked out on the conversation, really focusing on her friends. She did look at him a lot, she hasn’t found a man that good looking in a while. Stella noticed how he spoke and how serious he was. She’d hope that she could travel with him again, but she knew after this, she has to find her friends and go back to Endcliff.
As they walked down the road back to the station, Paladin Danse broke the silence and looked at the women who held her gun tightly. “You mentioned you’re from Endcliff, why are you way out here?” Danse asked, breaking his serious military character. Stella thought for a moment and looked up at the man in armor.
“We’re on a supply run as well as a manhunt. A raider gang came though Endcliff a few weeks ago, stole some important technology from us, killed 3 of our people, and injured 6. That never happened to us before. Luckily, me and my friend Luna killed them, but their leader left with the tech piece we need most. We’re hoping to find that bastard and get that back,” Stella was vague on the subject but specific enough because she felt like she could trust Danse.
“I’m sorry to hear that citizen. I hope you track down and kill that scum,” Danse said with compassion.
“Name is Stella Kennedy by the way. I was a vault dweller for most of my childhood. Vault 101. I was 12 when I escape after a kid left to find their father. I guess I kinda wander off, found some friends at Little Lamplight and spent a year there. Became friends with Mayor… fuck was it MacKenny? Cready? Anyways...” Stella trailed off. “Shit… that must have been 10 years since that bullshit happened,” Stella smirked to herself.
“Vault 101 and Little Lamplight was in the Capital Wasteland, right?” Danse asked with suspicion.
“Yes, sir. I spent most of my days wandering around until I was 15 I made my way to the Commonwealth where I meet Lucas and Joanna,” Stella smiled.
“I grew up in the Capital Wasteland as well,” Danse smiled but also remembering everything that happened.
“No shit soldier, where from?” Stella asked
“Rivet City,” Danse simply respond
“I’ve only been there a few times, I bought some junk there to build my first gun and only went there to get supplies when I was leaving for the Commonwealth,”
Danse could see the police station getting closer and closer. The two went inside as Stella gave the transmitter to Danse. Haylen walked over at the two.
“The signal is coming from Lexington, from the Super Duper Mart there. Hopefully whoever you’re looking for is there,” Haylen smiled.
“Thank you so much. Since I help you and you helped me, I think I won’t bother you and your team. Perhaps we’ll meet again,” Stella smiled.
“Wait, before you go, I have something for you,” Danse said
“No need to give me anything,” Stella said softly. Danse rolled his eyes and handed her a laser rifle. It was beautiful, to say the least.
“No need, as a soldier we always pay our debts. I modded it myself, it’s called Righoues Authority,” Danse smiled as Stella smiled back, her heart grew.
“Thank you Paladin Danse. I’ll return the favor, I promise. Say, if you’re ever near Endcliff, you should visit sometime. Benji will question you, but tell him I sent you. Where can I find you and your team after this?” Stella asked, taking the gun from Danse.
“Rhys and Haylen will stay put, I’ll be going back to the Prydwen. If you ever need me, come back here and we’ll get a vertibird to fly you there,” Danse said “If you ever want to become a soldier yourself, we’ll talk and I’ll be your sponsor,”
“Thank you for the offer, but I don’t think I’m soldier material. However, you’ll probably see me again,” Stella declined the offer.
“Ad victoriam,” Paladin Danse spoke. Stella knew what all that meet when she spent some time with Danny, smile smiled
“She doesn’t know what that means, why waste your breath,” Rhys scoffed
“To victory. Ad victoriam, to you Paladin. Thank you for everything,” And there Stella made her way to Lexington, with her head filled with Paladin Danse
***
Lexington was always a raider shit hole. It was sad that only raiders, ferals and even super mutants littered the place. Stella knew the ends and outs of the place, but always had to tiptoe just incase a landmine was placed and every raider and their dead mothers could hear it.
She scouted out the Super Duper Mart and saw some roaming ferals liter the place, but from the looks of it, most were dead. Probably from Joanna and Lucas. She could hear yelling from a raider in the back of the store. “How many times do I have to tell you? I’m going to kill you both and keep it. Then I’ll find your friend who killed my gang.” Stella’s jaw dropped. It was him. She felt her heart beating out of her chest as she crouched down.
Although she didn’t know the three people that his gang killed all that well, she knew that justice had to survive for their families. She turned on the dim lights on her Pip-Boy as she made her way across the market, being careful to not make any noise. Last time she was here, ferals littered the store.
She saw the greasy raider towering Joanna. Only Joanna. She was tied up in a chair. It made Stella sick to her stomach. But she started to wonder where Lucas was and her mind started to race.
Stella made a plan, point, and shoot. She aimed her rifle at the raiders’ head, making a perfect headshot. When she pulled the trigger, nothing happened. Fuck! She thought she brought enough bullets for this mission, but she used the rest of her bullets on synths and ghouls. Ha, funny…
Stella saw as the raider integrated Joanna, but she couldn’t just walk in there, discuss the weather. She knew these sacks of shits, they’ll just kill Joanna and then her. Stella somehow forgot the gift the Paladin gave her and reached for it. She never actually used a laser rife before, so she was kind of excited to kill that scum bag with it. She put her rifle over her shoulder, took out the rifle and aimed. “Hey fuck face!” She screamed as the raider turned around and struggled to get his gun before Stella pulled the trigger a few times and blowing his leg off. Holy fuck, that Paladin is a killing machine if he made this.
The raider screamed in pain unable to do anything. “You fucking bitch!” He screamed, trying to crawl to Stella who rushed over to Joanna and untied the rope. Joanna went to a steamer trunk to retrieve her gun that Stella gave her on Christmas years ago and the piece that the raider stole from Endcliff
“Should we let him out of his misery?” Joanna asked as they fleed to the front door. Stella laughed, hearing the pain that the raider was in, desperate to escape.
“Never, he needs to feel pain for the people he killed,” Stella said as the left the market. “What happened to Lucas?” Stella asked with worry. Joanna held her gun.
“He went out looking for help, I think we went to that police station to ask for help, some Brotherhood of Steel members are held up there, heard it on my tracker when I made that distress call, hoping someone would help,” Joanna explained.
“Perfect, I was just there. Helped this really cute Paladin and his team was stranded. They said we can come back whenever I hope that’s true,” Stella doubted.
“Okay, you lead the way before ferals attack,” Joanna nodded. “Hey what’s up with you and the Brotherhood of Steel? Didn’t you hook up with a scribe back in the Capital Wasteland?” Joanna laughed making Stella blush.
“I was 15, he was 17, we dated, then we fucked, it just so happened that I was held up with some Brotherhood soldiers and he was one of them. We went over this!” Stella said, clearly embarrassed.
“What about Scribe Danny?” Joanna teased.
“We’re just friends,” Stella stated.
“That’s not what my eyes would tell me,” Joanna laughed as the walked down the broken road to the police station. Stella shoved Joanna, annoyed, but a small smirk formed her lips. “I’m so happy you figured out my signal. I was so scared and I never really felt that fear before. All I could think about when he was yelling at me was you and Lucas. I had hope, of course, but I started to expect my death. I only felt that way once before and that one time was the accident. I learned to accept my new life as a ghoul fast, that was before of you guys… I just couldn’t imagine a life without you two… or your life without me. Shit, sorry if that was deep,” Joanna laughed as Stella gave her a side hug.
“I’d get you if you ended up in the Institute or the Capital Wasteland. You’re my family, just like Lucas is,” Stella stated with full truth to her statement.
“I love you, Stella,” Joanna smiled as she stopped in her tracks, giving Stella the biggest hug.
“I love you more, Joanna. Thank you for everything these past seven years,” Stella let go and looked at Joanna, grabbing her shoulders. “Just remember you’re still Joanna. You’re not just a ghoul or a freak like those assholes in the Brotherhood think or the folks in Diamond City,” Stella preached as Joanna smiled and rolled her eyes. Joanna pushed her arms away and did the same thing to Stella.
“And goes to you, you’re more than a prototype, you’re the best goddamn gun modder in all the Commonwealth and you let me fuck up your hair when I can’t with mine,” Joanna laughed as she pulled on one of Stella’s dyed braids.
“Hey, I really like the split color look,” Stella shook her hair a little. “Also, don’t let the Brotherhood know I’m… whatever the fuck I am and I’ll tell them to suck my dick if they give you a hard time,” Stella smiled.
“If you think it’s a good idea…” Joanna sarcastically commented. “But I’ll probably just wear my gas mask when we get there,”
Approaching the police station, the two girls casually made way towards the door. Joanna put on a gas mask that she looted off a raider, she knew she couldn’t walk in and have the soldier happy to see her. That did hurt Stella to her core. She hated the new Brotherhood to be quite frank. The Brotherhood was never like that years ago. One of the soldiers gave her a weird look, not expecting to see the mysteries girl so soon.
“Is Paladin Danse still here?” She asked one of the Knights.
“Yes, civilian, you may enter,” The Knight stated. Stella entered the police station to see Scribe Haylen working on the transmitter and Knight Rhys planning something out on the table. Stella went up to Haylen and cleared her throat. Haylan looked up and smiled.
“Hey, Stella! You’re back sooner then I expected! And I’m assuming this is…” Haylen paused thinking of Joanna’s name
“Haylen this is Joanna and Joanna this is Haylen… I have a question,” Stella got to the point and leaned in.
“What would that be?” Haylen smiled.
“Has a dude by the name of Lucas, about yay high, blonde hair. Joanna told me that he was coming here for help,” Haylen put down her stuff and stood up straight.
“Yes, Paladin Danse went with him to look. I’ll call him telling them to abort their mission and come back to the police station. The two just left,” Haylen spoke as she went to the radio next to her. “Paladin Danse, come in Paladin Danse, head back to the police station, Joanna and Stella are here for Lucas, come in Paladin Danse,” Haylen spoke, hoping that he’d come in the other side. She waited a few seconds before a signal started to come in.
“This is Paladin Danse, aborting mission now,”
“Now we just wait,” Haylen smiled.
“Thank you so much Haylen seriously. I wouldn’t know where to look for Joanna if it wasn’t for you,” Stella smiled.
“Why does your friend wear a gas mask?” Rhys burst out, causing everyone’s head to turn to him.
“Rhys, you can’t just ask why someone wears something?” Haylen said, annoyed.
“Yea I can… So, why is that? Is there something you’re hiding?” Rhys smirked. Stella rolled her eyes and although you couldn’t see it, so was Joanna
“Hey asshole, why do you care?” Joanna blurted out. That caused Rhys to stand up, pissed off.
“You’re speaking to a Brotherhood Knight, civilian. I subject you don’t speak to me like that, or there will be a problem; so I’ll as you again, what are you hiding… freak?” Rhys said slowly as he approached Joanna until he was close to her face. Stella felt herself tense up because she knew how Joanna can get when some asshole threatens her. Stella grabbed Joanna’s shoulders.
“How about we just wait for Danse and Lucas to get here, please,” Stella stated.
“Please, Rhys can you just let this go. Danse will have your head if he sees you acting like this. I’m so sorry you two,” Haylen pleed.
“Fine, but I will figure it out, I always do,” Rhys said as he walked away.
“He’s such an ass! I’m so sorry,” Haylen was so embarrassed, her face was red like a tato.
“It’s fine, I’m use to that. I’m kinda burned up, don’t like showing my face a lot,” Joanna half lied.
“No need to explain. I don’t mind… Danse should be here any minute now,” Haylen stated as she started to finish up fixing the transmitter.
“Hey, thanks again, we’ll be outside and we’ll fight any more ferals that come this way,” Stella stated as she grabbed Joanna’s hand and went out the door. She didn’t want any gunfire especially when Joanna is on edge.
Stella turned to Joanna. “What the fuck was that Anna? I mean what the fuck for both of you… Please try not to get yourself killed AGAIN. We’re almost done, we got the piece and we just need Lucas and then we’re home free. Please… and also don’t say shit to this Paladin, at least don’t call him an asshole, he could be useful,” Stella begged as she hugged her rifle to her chest, looking up and down the road to check for ferals, the Paladin or the idiot she called Lucas.
“You just don’t want me to blow your chances to blow the Paladin. I bet he’s not that hot,” Joanna laughed.
“Ah! Shut up! I don’t have a thing for soldiers in the Brotherhood. It was a two-time thing, stop teasing me,” Stella was clearly annoyed, but Joanna loved it. Stella rolled her eyes as she looked down the street to see the Paladin in his power armor and Lucas. “Lucas!” Stella shouted as Joanna saw him and perked up. The two girls ran to Lucas and gave him the biggest hug as if they haven’t seen each other in ages.
“What the actual fuck dude! I almost shit myself thinking you died,” Joanna shouted as she let go and looked at the Paladin. Stella was right. He was as sexy as fuck. “And this must be your knight and shining armor ready to take you away and fuck you, aye,” Joanna laughed.
“That is not appropriate, civilian,” Danse said with the most seriousness. Stella slapped her face.
“I’m so sorry Paladin. Thank you for everything. I will repay you… and before Joanna says anything, nothing sexual,” Stella said as she looked at Joanna who was doing that thing with her hands to indicate a penis and a vagina. You know that hand signal. Stella flipped her off. “Anyways, we should head back to Endcliff before people get a search team for us. Make sure to visit if you’re ever in the area. Goodbye,”  Stella smiled.
“Anytime, soldier. You have a character full of friends. I’ll make sure to use that opportunity,” Paladin Danse cracked a smile. “Ad victorim, Stella”
“Ad victorim, Paladin,”

Long time no see.
I drew Roy and Danni for some cool down. Roy is my Vault 76 dweller and Danni is a survivor and one of my alt 76 accounts that I meant to play Nuclear Winter with except I haven’t because what is PVP battle royale? I am a scared lil babby.

The reason why courier six is the best fallout protag is bc they’re part of this world !!! Sure they’re new to new Vegas so they don’t know everything and the player can form opinions and build knowledge with their avatar as the game progresses but all in all, courier six is embedded in the world of fallout much like fans of the series are.
The narrative of vault dweller has been done so many times and it’s just so creatively bankrupt and boring !!!!!! How often will I have to endure some complete newbie emerge from the vault singing a post apocalyptic version of ‘what’s this! What’s this’ by a ghoul Danny Elfman!!!! How often !!! I hate this !!

How do companions react to seeing soles face for the first time and they are absolutely stunning?
Cait: Cait wasn’t thrilled about leaving her home in the cages… until she caught sight of the person taking her away. She had seen just about every walk of life come through for a fight, but Sole? Their pre-war skin was unblemished, their hair was full and clean. In fact, Sole carried themselves with so much poise that for a moment Cait wished she was a little more ladylike to impress them. “Well then,” she said, “I suppose this deal ain’t all bad. You just walk in front of me though, dear. Let me enjoy the view.” Just because Cait wished she was more refined didn’t mean she’d start acting that way now.
Codsworth: “I… I can’t believe it’s really you, sir/mum!” When Sole came in to Sanctuary, the Mr. Handy was floored. He had dreamed of reuniting with his master, but didn’t remember them looking so dashing. His tedious work of scrubbing floors and maintaining the lawn post-nuclear fallout was all worth it now that he knew Sole had kept themselves in wonderful shape. “Why, you look even more handsome/beautiful than the day you activated me, if you don’t mind my saying so. I hope your cleanliness rubs off on my old gears. I’ve managed to accumulate quite a bit of rust since we last saw each other.”
Curie: No one (or thing) was more enamored with Sole in Vault 81 than Curie. She had heard stories of people in the Commonwealth, and they were all the same. Survivors had scratchy skin that peeled from radiation exposure. Their voices were gruff, and their hands calloused. But Sole was the absolute opposite of all those tales. When they peered through the glass at Curie, she would have blushed if she were human. “My, I suppose the stories of the settlers up above were all lies. You are not scratchy or gruff.” Sole didn’t know what that meant, but they took the compliment anyways.
Danse: At first, Danse was just thankful for the assistance against the ferals that plagued the police station. He watched Sole snipe a few from afar, then close in at knife-point the remaining dozen. Both their agility and bravery impressed him. When he went to thank Sole, they took off their helmet and goggles. Danse was unable to speak; his cheeks flushing red when only stammering came out. “We appreciate the support, civilian,” he finally managed to say. He had never seen anyone in such perfect shape. Their broad shoulders, petite frame… they exemplified the entire Brotherhood appearance.  Danse found it hard to make eye contact the rest of their conversation.
Deacon: Today was the day Deacon’s baby would be born. Well, by baby he meant the vault dweller and by born he meant leave the actual vault. They had been a hard little science experiment to track, but he was excited to see the person frozen in time finally thaw out. He figured that they would need some guidance in the Commonwealth, so what better opportunity to shape a new agent?
What Deacon didn’t expect was for Sole to leave the vault early. He hid behind a tree as they rose to the surface; eyes squinting, legs trembling. Part of him wanted to burst from the shadows and help them, but he stopped when he saw how… perfect they were. Bright, hopeful eyes. A smile like on those old magazine covers. To Deacon’s horror, he was willing to follow them anywhere.
Dogmeat: Sole was not the first person to approach Dogmeat at Red Rocket. The dog had been hunkering down under the workbenches ever since his previous owner had run him off the property. Dogmeat’s first reaction was to cower. If a stranger didn’t leave him alone after that, he usually snapped. But when Sole approached him with a cheery “hey there, boy” he was instantly theirs. Sole wasn’t scary at all! Their skin was soft when they scratched him behind his ear, and their smile consisted of all their teeth. Someone as friendly-looking as Sole couldn’t possibly consider him a bad dog.
Gage: Gage had seen plenty of Overbosses come and go. They all looked the exact same. To give off a tough exterior, the raiders usually had deep scars, shaved hair, and chunks of their ears and fingers missing. It always scared off the settlers they wanted to raid, but never impressed Gage. He knew he was missing an eye, but the whole “tough guy act” needed to come from the heart, not the clothes. When he saw Sole come through the doors of Nuka World, his mouth hung open. They were the opposite of every raider and slaver he ever ran with. Their smooth pre-war skin glistened against the neon signs above them, and their healthy hair bounced as they walked towards Fizztop Grille. Gage was more than willing to introduce himself to Sole, but refrained from any flirtatious comments. He didn’t want himself actually catching feelings, and it was easy to get lost in Sole’s eyes.
Hancock: Hancock was always watching over Goodneighbor, and that night he was hanging back in the shadows when Sole walked through the gates. He noticed Finn lock on to the stranger, and figured he would have to intervene eventually. Finn was probably going to sell the poor schmuck some phony insurance, which Hancock warned him to stop whenever he came to his town.
Lucky for him, Hancock’s future damsel in distress was absolutely stunning. They had Magnolia and all the pre-war pin-up girls in the old magazines beat. Sole was staring at Finn with furrowed brows and their fingers brushed against their holster, which only made them more endearing. Beautiful and a badass, Hancock thought as he stepped forward with his knife. The first things out of his mouth after a warm welcome would definitely be a pick-up line.
MacCready: MacCready was having a freaking terrible day. After Winlock and Barnes stopped nagging him about taking their work, there was a stranger hanging around the door. He assumed it was another scorned settler looking for a merc to off their ex lover, so MacCready already had an attitude. He said something sarcastic before he even looked at them, then immediately wished he hadn’t. Sole was all dressed up from their night at The Third Rail, and he could smell their cologne/perfume from across the lounge. Sole tilted their head and asked him who the two men were who had been bothering him. Even though MacCready’s words were low and uninterested, his heart nearly beat out of his chest. They were a total knock-out, and he would be more than thrilled to be their hired gun.
Preston: Preston thought his band of travelers were as good as dead until he heard the raiders outside go down with four loud gunshots. He rushed to the balcony to see a stranger take them down, then begin to scavenge them for supplies. “Hey, up here! On the balcony!” His voice was strained, but it caught Sole’s attention. When they looked up, the sunlight hit their face just right so that Preston could see every feature. He didn’t even notice they were wearing a vault suit. When Sole asked what was the matter, Preston almost didn’t want to involve them in his fight. It wasn’t every day he met an angel.
Piper: Danny Sullivan was getting on Piper’s last nerve. She knew the kid was just following orders, but what he was doing was still wrong. He was leaving her out in the open, and Nat without supervision. She needed a diversion… and the drifter rolling up at the gates would be perfect. Piper had it all planned out. She would tell Danny they were a trader from Quincy, and the town would have his head if he made them miss out on the supplies…
That thought was quickly derailed when she got a good look at Sole. There was no way they were from around the Commonwealth. Sole’s hair was clean, their eyes were still full of innocent hope. It made Piper’s stomach do flips. She hadn’t seen the kind of warm smile Sole flashed her since she got her hands on a pre-war movie. In fact, Piper clammed up so bad Danny actually went back on the intercom to ask if she died.
Nick: Two weeks of being kidnapped in a vault never seemed so worth it until Sole showed up to save him. Nick figured someone would have to set him free eventually, and he was hoping Ellie wouldn’t put herself in harm’s way. When Sole hacked the door to set Nick free, it took every ounce of him not to compliment Sole’s look. All the embarrassment about being a damsel melted away when Sole told him about their missing son. Now he had a chance to return the favor, and get to see a little more of that pre-war miracle.
Strong: Strong was actually unimpressed by Sole’s looks. They didn’t look as menacing as the beaten humans. He suggested Sole slash their face to get a scar.
X6-88: Maybe coursers weren’t designed to perfection after all. When Sole walked through the Institute doors, the synths had never seen anyone as flawless. X6 was certain Sole could be the only heir to Father’s legacy. They matched the intricacy of the spiral elevators; the unblemished gleam of the polished floors. Sole embodied everything the Institute wanted for the Commonwealth, and it made X6 even more honored to become their companion later that evening.

The First Time They Meet The SS
Cait: Cait was in the cage for the fifth time that night, fighting with yet another pathetic raider. She didn’t know why they even tried to compete with her, she won every single bloody time. She was about to land a right hook on the raiders jaw when gunfire broke out, she wanted to join in but she didn’t, she stayed to the side with Tommy. Then there they were, standing gun in arm, fully equipped with armour, yet still wearing a vault suit. Cait couldn’t help but scoff, who they hell did they think they were coming in here like that? She trailed her eyes down their body letting out another scoff, she could take them down any day.
Curie: She’d been stuck in the sealed off ruins of Vault 88 for years, too many years, Vault Tec really didn’t think any of this through. Then one day, they strolled in and Curie had the answer Sole had been looking for. Curie was relieved when she was finally allowed to exit her station, her work finished 83 years ago.
“Merci, Madam/Monsieur,” Curie handed over the mole rat cure, very thankful that Sole walked in. Curie loved that they saved the child instead using it for their own benefit. She could learn a lot from them, a lot indeed.
Danse: Rhys was down there being no way he could continue the fight against the persistent feral ghouls attacking the station. Haylen stood in the back lines, covering Rhys, there’s no way she was letting him get hit again. Then there was Danse on the front line, covering his team as a Paladin should do. He knew they didn’t stand much of a chance, their supplies were running extremely low and he didn’t know how much longer he could hold off the hordes of attackers. Then a mysterious figure began taking them down from the side lines, providing the much-needed cover.
“Thank you, Civilian,” Danse nodded his head in appreciation towards them.
“Would have done it for anyone,” they replied with a smile. Danse squinted at them, trying to figure them out, they were good in combat and seemed to like danger. The Brotherhood could definitely use someone like them.
Deacon: The vault dweller hadn’t noticed him, watching them from a distance. He was always there, hiding in plain sight, unbeknownst to Sole. That’s when he walked into the tunnels of the Old North Church, to find them standing on the other end of some very big guns.
“What gives with my invitation?,” he joked, “Oh, I see you’ve met the courser killer,” walking past his team and leaning against the wall. He studied the vault dweller as they answered Desdemona’s questions. And he wondered to himself if they’d noticed him, would they notice him now? Then they looked over at him, smiling lightly as Deacon praised them to Des. He didn’t get that a lot, people appreciating his spy work, though they didn’t know it was spy work. He couldn’t wait to work with them some more, I mean they are a fucking badass.
Hancock: He watched over his shoulder as a bewildered Sole pushed through the gates to his little town. He looked them up and down, taking in their appearance, something Hancock did with everyone who walked through his gate. He listened as Finn got his ass handed to him, in which he chuckled to himself, finally getting what he deserved in his opinion.
“Woah, woah,” Hancock stepped in, plunging his knife into Finn’s gut as he refused to back down, he messes with the boss, he gets put in the ground. He looked back over at the newcomer, noticing the gleam in their eye and the smile playing on their lips. Trouble. He could feel it and he definitely wanted to be part of that.
Nick: “Gotta love the irony of the reverse damsel-in-distress scenario…” Nick wittily remarked as the door sprang open and his rescuer walked in. He had to be thankful, he’d been trapped in this hell hole for the past two weeks. He couldn’t wrap his head around why someone would go out of their way to save an ‘old private eye,’ as he would call himself. But as they explained themselves he understood completely, he’d be more than happy to help them out, seeing as they saved him and all. Oh, and he must promote Ellie, he made a mental note to himself.
MacCready: MacCready ignored the person who’d walked into the room at a rather inconvenient time. Winlock and Barnes had finally found the merc, hiding out in The Third Rail, it was about damn time, he thought to himself. He thought they were supposed to be good at finding people, but the Gunners were getting sloppy. That was a good thing for him though, because he was fucking good at his job.
“Looking for a hired gun?” he asked, he’d been out of business for a while and he really needed the caps. Maybe they were the person to finally hire him.
“How do I know I can trust you?” they remarked and it drew a smile to MacCready’s lips.
“I could say the same to you,” Sole smiled and nodded.
“How much do you charge?”
Piper: Damn that Danny and damn Mayor McDonough, for locking her outside of her own goddamn home. That article was the best ones she’d ever written and she knew Mayor McDonough wouldn’t approve but you can’t stop the freedom of the press. Piper noticed the stranger from the corner of her eye, walking up to the closed door of Diamond City. They were her ticket back into the city all they needed was a quick plan.
“Psst… Yeah you…” Piper called them over causing the stranger to look around before realising she was talking to them, “You want in to Diamond City? Play along…”
Piper overenthusiastically played on Danny’s conscience, bring Myrna into the conversation and well the doors were opened. Piper nudged the strangers arm as they both through the doorway and she listened with sad eyes as the stranger asked for the help of the Mayor only to be turned down. She was going to be the one to help them, she had to be, the Institute was going down for this one.
Preston: Preston wiped the sweat off his brow as he narrowly missed bullet after bullet that was being fired at him. He didn’t know how long he could keep this up, every time he went to reload, he noticed another raider join the pack of ravenous bastards. It was then he noticed them dropping down like flies, to his luck, someone had come by in the nick of time. Maybe they could finally be the person they needed to help them.
“Please! Grab that laser musket and help us!” he called out and the person nodded, running towards the corpse holding the musket in his arms. Preston waited patiently, listening to the sounds of people dying, bullets wreaking havoc in the museum.
He let out a sigh of relief when they walked through the door, all the raiders had been killed and here was their saviour, in a vault suit. What. He watched as they spoke with Sturges, eager to help out the group, what was left of the Minutemen. They are what was needed to fight for the Minutemen, this person could save the Commonwealth, and Preston was goddamn happy that they stumbled into Concord in their time of need.

The Purkinje Effect, 5
Table of Contents
With the carton of Grey Tortoise under his arm, Galen skipped down Publick Occurrences's couple of front steps. A single pack had cost him five dollars, and there were twelve packs--so he estimated to have about sixty dollars with which to barter. He had a bit of money left in top of that, but not much. But, having a sense of direction and some kind of medical opinions, where he'd had none prior to the morning, he found himself grinning. The surplus stall was in the far corner; second base would be directly behind it. A Latina woman in a white dress shirt stood watch boredly with a newspaper. Just as the pink ex-vaultie strolled up, she shooed two children trying to nick her wares. When she caught sight of him, she didn't conceal her startled stare.
"--That's not contagious, right?"
"Absolutely not. Galen, by the way." He offered a gloved handshake. She simply stared at his hand for a moment. "...Right. I need some travel supplies, and I hear you're the one to see."
"We've got a little bit of everything. Don't... touch anything. You sure it's not contagious?"
"I already saw Dr. Sun earlier." He remembered his scripting. "He gave me something for it. Promise it's not catching. Besides," and he wiggled all his fingers at her with an enthusiastic grimace.
"...Ok, but no funny business. I've got my eye on you. And if you see those two brats again, help me run 'em off. They try every day." She flicked her newspaper with a huff, going back to her reading.
Galen began to browse, setting things in front of him that seemed the most likely to be useful. Wonderglue and an industrial tub of shortening, for sure, and a card of needles and a cone of thread. He wanted to fix up his hood a bit better, and he could probably eat on the starchy oil for a week. His eye caught the junk bins off to the sides of the higher commodity items, especially the aluminum can full of utensils. He guessed those were what the kids had been going after, since he could tell a good third of it was silverware from the black tarnish. Remembering what Dr. Duff had recommended regarding accepting the changes in his constitution, he entertained the notion of buying a few butter knives for the road, and picked up the tin to root for a couple. Distracted by his own attempts at good behavior, ironically he didn't notice himself stomach them instead of setting them with his other selections, and he set the tin back down to continue browsing. As he reached for a piece of leather shoulder armor, he found his hand halted by the barrel of a pipe pistol.
"What-- what do you think you're doing? You're a Synth, aren't you? A reject. They messed up your mold pour. Is that why you're pink? How else could you store something inside you for later!" She cocked the gun, forehead glistening. "That's disgusting!"
His hands flew up and he backed away a step, but she aimed straight at his face the instant he moved and he stopped in his tracks.
"I-- I'm not-- Here, I'll pay for whatever it was--" He went to hand her the carton of cigarettes, and she snatched them from him, not standing down. "I'm sorry-- I--"
"You trying to tell me you don't even know what you swallowed! SECURITY!" Her weapon trembled. "I told you no funny business, you... you Geek!"
His stress got the best of him and he snatched the Wonderglue off the table and swallowed the bottle whole. Struggling against the impulse mid-act got him shaking fiercely, and she fired a warning shot at his feet. Reacting landed him flat on his butt, and he glared up at her, rattled to his core.
"Next time I'm not aiming for dirt, Geek."
"Myrna, stop blastin’ that thing." An uninterested guard wearing a catcher's mask finally meandered up with increased attentiveness when he heard her fire at Galen. "What's a matter now?"
"This Synth here is swallowing my inventory! He ate a bunch of my silver, and then he ate my last bottle of Wonderglue! How could you let him in here? He's obviously a Synth!"
"I don't even know what a Synth is," Galen finally managed to utter edgewise, but this only made her madder. The guard raced to put his arm up in front of Myrna to keep her from firing a second time.
"Aight, fella. Didja or didn’t cha swallow her stuff? We don't take kindly to deep pockets either."
"I meant to pay her for the things before eatin' 'em," he confessed. "I don't know what got into me. ... Surely that carton a smokes is enough to call it even?" He flinched when a second guard came up behind him to cut off his potential for escape.
"You were going to swallow my carton of Grey Tortoise next!?" Myrna hollered incredulously. "You heard this Freakshow Geek! He's already easily cost me a hundred caps in goods, and you heard him himself admit he was gonna steal even more!"
"Are you really still trying to get supplies outta her with her pointing a gun at you, Geek?" the second guard judged.
"You really aren't bright, are ya," the other seconded.
When a third entered the circle forming around Galen, the ex-vaultie knew not to object to Myrna's version of this story. The situation gathered infield attention and he started sweating.
"Aight, come with us. You can't be trusted inside the city walls, fella."
"Garry an' me's got 'im," the first guard told the third, and he and the other each hooked an arm under each of Galen's armpits. "Go on up to Danny and let him know he screwed up lettin' a pink guy in here-- an' why."
"Christ, short stuff, you're heavy as a brahmin," Garry muttered. "Jim, I think Myrna might a really caught herself a Synth for real this time."
"Officers, y'all, y'all can let me go," Galen reasoned pathetically, getting dragged toward the stairs out of the park. "I'll go peaceably. I swear I don't know what a Synth is. I, I, I keep hearing people talk about 'em and I sure wish somebody'd-- Hey-- Hear me out!"
"If I let you go," Jim calmly replied, "Myrna will chew my ear off for a month. An' the half chance she's right about you..." A low whistle. "Yeah, I'm not lettin' go of you for an instant."
"Piper!" Galen tried, kicking at the dirt as they passed Publick Occurrences. The reporter and her sister both stood on the porch, indignant and confused as ever. "Piper, tell them I'm not a Synth!"
"Galen, what did you DO?" she chastised, knowing fully it had gone abominably with Myrna. "Y'all, he's a vault dweller. He can't be a Synth."
"He admitted to swallowin' unpaid merchandise," Jim told her. "Synth or no, this sideshow has gotta go. If he can't keep his sticky fingers off what ain't his, we can't help but give him the boot."
"But--"
"Hehe, that rhymed, Jim."
"You know, it did." Jim chortled a bit, then sighed. "Piper, we'll boot you AN' Nat too as accessories if you try to get involved. I won't have Myrna reportin' me an' Garry to the MacDonough for misconduct."
"Garry, at least-- at least give him this before you lock him out." Piper ran up and slammed a crumpled paper against his shoulder. Though Garry did take the paper, the guards didn't stop moving. The further along they got, the louder she got. "I know what I said earlier, but I went and talked to Duff anyway, Galen. Read. It. Y'all! This isn't justice. All just a huge misunderstanding!" She kicked the newspaper stand at the end of her lot, hard enough to dent it. "AUGH! Y'all are so bull headed!"
Once they got back out to the ticket area, the two guards threw Galen to the pavement. Garry started reading the note.
"Asked Duff about pink food sample. Could only recall testin' a sample a pink plastic. Say Jim, what's this word here say?" He pointed a mitt at the paper.
"Pre... servative. You been eatin' plastic, Piper says," Jim scoffed. "Man, plastic people eat plastic food? Gross." Garry wadded up the paper and tossed it at Galen.
"Never hearduva Synth t'eat plastic. Guess that makes you a Geek an’ a cannibal." As a loud mechanical process began, Garry and Jim each pulled out his pipe rifle with a casual fatigue. "Aight, Geek. The gates are gonna close. If y’know what's good for ya, you'll be on the other side and stay there."
Galen snatched the paper as the wind tried to grab it from him. He briefly caught sight of the guard from earlier getting an earful from the third guard, but he couldn't hear them over the pulley system. He glanced up to see the gates rapidly gaining momentum to close him out, and he gave the guards a short-fused, incredulous snarl before scrambling to his feet and walking away without causing any more of a scene. He shoved the paper in one of his jumpsuit's breast pockets, then fished his pack of cigarettes out of his rolled sleeve and slapped the packaging against the butt of his palm as he stormed off briskly, not paying much attention to the direction. It didn't take long into his smoke for him to notice half a dozen guards were staring at him from their various guard posts along the streets leading up to the corner gate.
"Y'all really suck," he muttered under his breath, kicking at the asphalt rubble, then quickly shying from an Eyebot that hovered too close to him, skulking onward until he no longer saw signs that pointed to Diamond City.

The Truth Shall Set You Free
This is a reaction post to the question: “How would a companion react to finding out that they were a Synth copy of the Sole Survivor?”
This one is focused on Piper Wright. More may follow.
Background: Before deciding to release his surviving parent from Vault 111, Father had decided to use the DNA profile from the Vault-Tec database to have a Synth copy made of Nate/Nora to run simulated situations with Synth Shawn. This was partially to see how a Synth “family” would function, and although he won’t admit it, partially to get a glimpse at how life with his parent might have been.
Due to the instability of Synth Shawn, the program was a failure.
The Institute decided to have the Nate/Nora Synth’s memory wiped and put them in the Wasteland under a new identity to try to better understand the movements of runaway Synths that have had a memory wipe. With the original safe in cryo, There was no need to do reconstructive surgery.
The Synth woke up on the surface one day believing they were…
Piper Wright: The story about Piper’s father was true, to a point. Except the man that Piper remembered as her father died childless, and the raiders did raid the settlement, leaving no survivors.
When the Synth calling herself Piper Wright found an abandoned young girl on her travels, the mother instincts programed from Nora surfaced. She adopted little Nat as her own sister.
Years later: “DANNY, YOU OPEN THIS DOOR…..RIGHT NOW!” Piper banged her fist against the wall beside the intercom, then sighed. She briefly wondered if she could make it to Goodneighbor before it got dark. She wasn’t Mayor Hancock’s favorite person, but the ghoul never denied someone in need. She was about to start out when she caught a flash of bright blue out of the corner of her eye.
The vault dweller approaching the massive gate to Diamond City was wearing leather armor over her vault suit and an assault gas mask that covered her face and hair.
When she saw the woman in the red leather trench coat, the vault dweller appeared to freeze in confusion, and Piper thought for certain the woman was going to bolt in fear before she finally got her to finally come close.
The Vault Dweller, Nora, agreed to the interview, but refused to take her mask off. This annoyed Piper because those gas masks tended to muffle the wearer’s voice.
After the interview, Piper didn’t hear anything more from the masked Vault Dweller until after Nick Valentine returned from Skinny Malone’s hideout. The Synth detective sent word for Piper to meet him at his office. When she arrived, the first thing she noticed was how unnerved Ellie, Nick’s secretary, was and how she refused to make eye contact with the reporter.
“Piper. Please sit down.” Said Nick, giving Piper the hard stare usually reserved for suspects. “Nick…..What’s going on here? You two are starting to freak me out big time.” said Piper,
Nick paused, considering his words carefully. “We’ve known each other a long time now, kid. And I feel like in that time we’ve had a mutual trust, even though I’m…well… a Synth.”
Piper softened a bit “Nicky, of course! I trust you with my life…hell, I trust you with my baby sister’s life. What’s this all about?”
The old Synth gestured to a case file on the desk beside him. “I was rescued by the Sole Survivor of Vault 111. The same woman you interviewed some months ago. It seems the Institute had a special interest in her. Not only did they steal her son, but it seems they made a Synth of her too…and it’s been walking around the Commonwealth long before she was thawed out.”
“That’s incredible, but why would the Institute make a copy of someone locked in cryo?” Piper asked, momentarily forgetting about Nick and Ellie’s odd behavior.
“We were hoping you could tell us,” replied Nick evenly.
“Wait…. Me? But….How would I know?!” she asked in confusion, looking between her two friends.
“She really doesn’t know, does she?” Asked a voice from behind the partition closing off the sleeping quarters from the rest of the office.
Piper’s eyes flew wide at the sound of the familiar sounding voice. She stood up, whirled around, and found herself staring into her own hazel green eyes.
The Vault Dweller stood before her, wearing her face, her hair… a perfect replica; right down to the splay of freckles across her cheeks. She didn’t realize she had been backing away from her doppelganger until she crashed into the file cabinets behind her. Piper quickly drew her 10mm pistol and aimed it at the blue suited imposter.
“JESUS, NICK!!! HOW COULD YOU?! You can try to replace me, but I’m not going without a fight.” Piper spat angrily.
Nick quickly moved between Piper and Nora, hands raised. “No one is replacing you…. She’s HUMAN, Piper… We went to Doctor Amari at the Memory Den and plugged her into a lounger. Her brain scan read human.”
Piper’s face drained of color and she slowly lowered her weapon as the implication of Nick’s words sank in. She buried her face in her hands and slowly sank to the floor.
“We found a trader who used to frequent the settlement you claim to have come from…“ Nick said gently. “Constable Wright never had any children… and the settlement WAS wiped out by raiders.”
“That’s impossible…” Piper sobbed through her hands. “I remember everything….”
“Piper…” Nick put a hand gently on her shoulder. “Who is Nat? Who is she really?”
“I didn’t kill her parents and steal her, if that’s what you’re implying.” Piper looked up at Nick, her eyes puffy from crying and burning with indignation. ”It’s the only lie I ever told you, Nick. I found her hidden in the remains of a caravan that had been hit by gouls. I just couldn’t leave her behind… so I told everyone she was my sister…”
Ellie walked over and knelt beside the reporter, offering a hug and a clean bandana.
“What? You’re not afraid of me now?” She said to Ellie with a slight edge to her voice.
“Oh Piper…. I’ve been friends with Nick far too long to be afraid of a synth…. And I’ve known you too long to be afraid of you…. But…you gotta understand… We didn’t know how you would react to seeing Nora… We didn’t know if it would trigger some command or….” Ellie trailed off, looking up to Nick and Nora.
Nora walked over and extended a hand to her Synth double. Piper momentarily flinched away and glared distrustfully at her twin before sighing and accepting help up off the floor.
“Now what happens?” Piper asked shakily as she was helped to a chair.
Nora looked at the three of them in turn and said, “As far as I’m concerned, this changes nothing. You are still the same passionate, caring person who took in an abandoned little girl and raised her as your own sister. You’re the same person that cares for this city and fights for truth. You may have started as a copy of me, but you are still your own person. Everything that makes you Piper Wright is yours alone. No one in this town needs to know if you don’t want them to. We can work it out.”
Piper looked down at her hands in her lap for a long time, considering her situation. “I’d rather hear an ugly truth than a pretty lie… but I have Nat to think about. I’ll have to figure that out eventually… in the meantime, you remember my offer to go with you?”
“Yeeeaaah?” Nora replied hesitantly.
“Well, Blue, You don’t have a choice now. The Institute has some explaining to do, and I’m not gonna rest until we both get the answers we need.”
