Mission: Best Vegan Protein. Ch 1
Status: not completed
I've been attending dance and pilates classes since September, and I've realized I do need to increase protein intake and buy protein bars especially for days when dance classes end late and I need to eat something after the class.
I am not a fan of protein products. I am not a hater but I always choose a regular option between protein or non-protein anything 😅 I do not like the taste and texture. So, my goal is to find a decent company which produces edible protein products (oO I am curious how many times I will use the word "protein" here).
My first attempt is MYVEGAN. I ordered the medium box, which contains several products: cookies, bars, crisps, and three types of small packages of protein powders for smoothies.
Tumblr media
I can' t say much about the quantity of protein or sugar per a cookie or a bar, as I have no idea which is excellent or not, but the taste was ok. Some products are medium, nothing special, e.g., those crisps. The texture is a bit weird but overall it's fine, in particular as my expectations for anything protein are quite low xD.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But this cookie is fantastic! It's very chocolaty, and the combo with salted caramel is 10/10!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This beverage... oh man I can neither describe the taste nor finish it. I don't like to throw products but I have no choice here. It's not my cup of tea.
Tumblr media
Protein powders for smoothies are ok. I am rather satisfied with the flavour and quality.
Overall, this company is fine. It's not perfect. I want to try other companies as well to understand how good or bad MYVEGAN is. I've already ordered vegan protein products from another company. When it arrives, I will make a review of those products too.
If you can recommend or want me to try another brand, leave your comment, and of course preferably, if it can be delivered to Europe.
Thanks!

hate when boot companies are like "we are Environmentally Friendly because we don't use real animal leather!" What do you mean environmentally friendly!!! that means you are using synthetic fake leather!! plastic is NOT environmentally friendly!!!!!

no i sent that because right wingers (esp the agro crowd in brazil) like to repeat that vegan products contribute to it as if that was all there was to it, which unfortunately actually has people thinking soy crops are meant for vegan products (have had to argue with multiple people irl about this - it's somehow not that obvious to everyone as you might think) so i think it's important to shed light on what actually matters. vegan products are not the root of the problem so pointing out they contribute to it does not help solve the problem so much. however if people are vegan for environmental reasons i agree it's coherent to seek out products produced locally etc (i assume that's why you mentioned that then?)
i did not mean that ask to attack you in any way tho just thought it's worth pointing out.
i understand where youre coming from but i am not a right winger agro person and neither is anyone that follows me on here, i don't know what would make you assume otherwise. you are pretty much preaching to the choir. the fact of the matter stands that you'd be doing much more to help the environment by donating to environmentalist and food security orgs in brazil with your dollars than by choosing grocery chain international vegan products over, say, local farmer's market meat. (yes, that is why i mentioned it)

Hi leftists. Veganism makes boycotts easier.
I’ve been boycotting eggs, milk and more for years, adding other unethical products to the list is easy now
Besides a lot of unethical animal products exploit humans too so I’d end up boycotting them anyway.
Food for thought.

It's a rare man who is taken for what he truly is. This vegan soap, inspired by Schmendrick the Magician, is made with shea butter, witch hazel extract, and colloidal oatmeal, to give you a moisturizing and magical transformation. The spicy chai scent is perfect for the last of the Red-Hot Swamis.

Why is all vegan pizza thin crust? Not everyone who avoids animal products is a health freak. What about stuffed crust? Deep dish? Normal crust?

did say to my coworker at work something about how if i got injured at work in a way that left a gnarly and epic scar it would look so cool and she said in a very "well duh" kind of way "oh you WOULD say it would be cool" which is the funniest thing anyone's ever said about me

Vegans have one thing and one thing going for them only and that is that there are certain products in this country (protein bars, anything cheese flavored, most chips) that all have whey in them. I don't necessarily know why America insists on putting whey in everything from pizza dough to every flavor of potato chip to instant potatoes to soup to just anything processed anywhere in the country ever, but I do know that whey is not vegan.
When I am at my lowest and have literally no options left, I can buy some fucking insanely expensive vegan cheese powder or whatever and not die.

Calling all tumblr vegan-foodies! I discovered two products yesterday from two young and emerging companies! I'm not vegan, but I'm curious and critical. Taste and textures are important and I must admit that I seriously falled for two companies that deserve a lot of love! And for good reason, they REALLY stand out! The first "Green Brothers" offers Pogo Vegan, but beware...they have EXACTLY the same taste and texture as a classic non-vegan pogo. It's just crazy. They want to perfect their product even more (and honestly, they are already perfect in my eyes) and they want to expand their range eventually. They are young, dynamic and perfect allies for cravings. They don't have a website yet, but take a look at their Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/greenbrothers_aliments/ and Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/alimentsgreenbrothers The second "Etat Vegetal" offers tasty and varied Vegan products. BIG favorite for their faux-chicken croquettes with Seitan. Again texture and flavors are totally on point. Arancini, Taquitos, etc. they are just...WOW! They are frozen, practical and once again they satisfy cravings! This company is passionate, young and visionary. They think big and they clearly deserve to be known (and to be successful). Their website: www.etatvegetal.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/etatvegetal/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/etat_vegetal/ Give them some love! Be curious! Be gourmand!

One of my favourite things ever is when random people listen in on my sudden infodumps. We can really just go out there and make brief connections with people at the grocery store over the randomest shit.. Peace and love on planet earth.

Got more sweaty from just walking to the restaurant after our three hour boat ride than from the paddling. I was dreading the heat but on the water it was very bearable. It's good I didn't chicken out, it was a fun afternoon and evening.
